My dear brothers and sisters
we read about today and you watch the news, perhaps maybe every single minute, an hour, and there's
a lot more people being bombed and killed in Gaza
has a very special place in the history of Islam. Because we call it to Hashem,
Hashem. The reason for that because the great grandfather, great grandfather of our beloved messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam died, and was buried there in
one of our great demands, one of our great demands. And we have four major schools of thought in terms of search, one of them is a man, a sharp, very
sharp
he was born in
Russia has so much history for the Muslim movement.
And today, we see what's going on. With law, he cannot just hold yourself from watching child bodies with children, when people are crying because of what's going on there
is just so ridiculous in this world, when there is no comparison whatsoever, the hypocrisy hypocrisy of the media overhead in this country, just society, about you know, the two narratives. And they always highlight of course, what is more important to them? I believe the reason for that because the world is changing. The world is changing. And it's not in favor of the so called ally of America their story. And that's why they needed to do some sort of dynamic change in dynamics to test the ground. How far can they go, this is usually happened if you remember back in 2004 2008, right, immediately after the election, the US elections, another another, another activity took place.
Again, just to test the loyalty of the new government here, which immediately they showed their support in solidarity with the people of Israel, unfortunately, neglect of all these rights, and all these Muslims that supported them, or even actually trying to bridge many gaps with them over there. When it comes to us.
How can we change the situation? How can we help the people when it is so hard? Just to keep watching, we're feeling completely hopeless? Because we know states of other emerging stays around that area? There also calculators to make it any particular mood. What about the Muslims? What can we do to aid the situation of the home? I know that one of the reasons because immediately, this is just kind of radiant relief, relief to the Syrian regime. From all this now, harassment attacks in the media and so far, they will just want to give them a break, let the people focus on something else. And there is nothing better than that. What do you consider one of the biggest problems of the
Middle East and that is the occupation interesting. So they wanted to make a distraction, and they succeeded. They will try to motivate the Muslim people to perhaps react. And we all know how, how sincere the people are, how passionate they are, when they see things like this. They might react in the wrong way that will always prove them right. In which
politics. This is so sad situation, but for us, the Muslim, what can we do when I was looking at the situation and thinking about
those
Atomic was the first day of the EU. It really
is the first day when they started just wondering, why was this something random or something that was taken by specific choice, and even the name, the name of that mission. From that day, they chose a biblical name for
it without pondering and thinking was done on purpose, or the train sending some message, you know, religious message provoking the people one way or another. But regardless, that's what can we do as Muslims? well as
in Allah,
Allah Subhana, WA, tada will not change people until they change what is done in themselves first, we have seen so much change happening in the Muslim in the Arab world.
And that's very serious. Yeah. Well, what is very serious, however, Allah says,
Whatever.
Whatever.
Yeah.
Everybody, every superpower, every nation, every culture, every civilization, that is trying to establish itself to be superior, and to lead the world for its own interests, or the interests of the
Muslims.
Allah promised those who have faith and do good deeds.
Allah will give them will give them
but there are conditions for them.
And make 13 wishes he was pleased with not what they were pleased with what he was pleased with. There's so many interpretations, unfortunately, of how Islam is set up run, we have so many kind of chaos happening in the Muslim countries because of all this interpretation. But Allah says that he was one of the process of
not what we
have.
And he said, Yeah, medical condition.
And he loves
me, and the associate no partners with me.
This is the main essence and the core of our desire
to believe in the
one and only one, if we truly put our servitude
we put our
only
national agenda, no to whatever, actually anything that is human made ideologies to allow us to count on with the item. And then we'll move on the weight, loss of power speed with this deal with this message of one on one, and the last panel dialogue, and then a philosophy that sincere in our hearts, hello to the other people in the home one day,
most of the earth, and the future history, they had the good and the bad moments in their lives as well. I
don't want to romanticize the history of Muslim Islamic State. But it's not about state about building a state as much as building a building and messaging the mission. I mean, this woman wants to bring the message to the world.
And they succeeded at some point but then when they start getting distracted, that's when they lost it. Now as individuals, what can we do, what can we do to break change, the change is going to happen when we start feeling it one individual at a time, one person at a time that brings a community and one community that will bring the society and a shovel up the chain will have to live in
its long the salon process and many of us they almost didn't go quick fixes for these conditions with
serious chronic problems. I know many people demonstrate many people, many people will tell windows so many other things. But unfortunately when we when it comes to personal personal initiative and doing that personal change, I would like to share with you since the beginning of the new year, some 10 points 10 resolution that me and you will work on if we can achieve that within this next year.
By the end of the year, and then you come in
many of our personal affairs will be different to show that to the best and also that first of all communities and the society all together, I will share with you 10 resolutions we need to work on inshallah time number one that I want to add myself as well to be engaged to be more
Engage in our local Muslim community. I wanted to make this resolution, most of us that are we come to our massages as guests. And some of us even they come as
we don't think of ourselves as hosts, this is our house. This is my community. This is my society, I want to be an active partner. And many of us they come always shine off to talk or ask or even suggest why because I don't think I can if I suggest something.
Why not?
And what is the problem with that if you take the initiative yourself, because it's your passion, that you need to serve your own community to be more engaged. That's one. That's number one, Muslim communities in the Muslim countries that are so sustained, because the society support that system here is me and you are responsible to make sure these muscles
are the number one thing that we need to be more engaged in our local communities, I work capacity. In many capacities, I'm not going to limit your imagination. But I want you to come and volunteer, I want you to come and come and explore and consider yourself a host of every message, and every part of the Muslim community, not just guest, whenever
you're part of this place, you're not just you know, on the margin, or you're not just just a visiting person, you are part of these communities. Number two, one of our biggest problems that appeared in the past couple of years, and particularly right around the election time, the case of
COVID basically situations and comments, and stories coming in the media, from politicians, leaders, and so on. And unfortunate, sometimes even from religious leaders of some form is becoming a reality of our life. And as Muslims, it is for us
to make sure that these these negative images and comments are removed from the society, we will never be able to eliminate all the hate and the razors from the society. Keep that in mind.
So you're gonna have
to make sure that this doesn't continue. And I'm gonna be a proactive person, and the feminine
taala my Muslim community and the future of our communities in sha Allah in this country. So what do we need to do find that? How can we do this? In
200 300 people
imagine that each and every one of us just wore on one individual. I'm not asking for medical conference, just one individual called a friend, a neighbor, just one individual for an entire year.
Imagine if you can do that for an entire year change in one individual's perspective of me and you and the Muslim community. How many people will be able to change a
lot of people.
Now to become Muslims, that's
what
I want to make sure that they know the truth. I want to make sure that they're neutral. I want to make sure that they're educated when it comes to the case of Islam. Make this initiative for this year that you change one individual, one individual, for your own community, for your own workplace, your own neighborhood and so on. Just try to focus on one by establishing a few steps baby steps for them until the next year to show a lot of time. Number three.
How do people know that Muslims exist in the first place?
And what is the people want to see you they want to see where they expect people to be good by volunteer. voluntourism is very important and is actually one of the main aspects of this society. And Muslims, they don't seem to be very active in volunteer, we might want them to Muslim.
But for the common good of the society, whether a volunteer for the school, to volunteer for the library, you volunteer for the disaster
in this country and so on. volunteerism is very, very important. And people they want to see you there. They want to see that. And I mentioned many stories do you have something sometimes when you volunteer people, they will be shocked and surprised sense of how long we'll never know that Muslims, they believe in these things, or even that they exist in this community and so on. It's for us that we need to go out and reach out to the people on the visual basis. As a community if you don't know how come on.
voluntourism is very, very important. And I want you to make sure that you set number of hours
number of days, when you need to go and volunteer to Charlottetown summer, in your own local community, whether it's a hospital, clinic, school library, anywhere, just bring it bring that experience to yourself and to the community around you so that they know that the Muslims are there around. Number four,
I want you to exercise your citizenship rights as Muslims of this society as well. Now, how do you do that you need to defend the human rights. I know most of us would like to go for whenever we see bloodshed, and destruction, that's when we get motivated. But why not? Why not just volunteer as well, and work so hard to protect human rights in your own local community first, also international level, not just for the Muslim.
Because when you do that, you realize people don't realize how genuine you are when they only see us as Muslims.
Only for Muslims, they will always look at you as someone who's foreign. And therefore, if you're really serious about this, you need to be to be genuine, and to go out and work so hard
to bring this
outside, not just necessarily on the street, but elsewhere. And one of these venues today, that is social media, and the internet, when you don't want to read the news these days, when you go read the news, there's so many comments down there, somebody comes
down, you know, whatever, you have all these nasty comes up, come come down. And sometimes don't browse through the comments. I know most people don't like to do that, because it makes you stressed out,
you become stressed out because it is common. You just feel overwhelmed, so much negativity, you hate to live that and just want to live in a state of denial 100 and see how people view Muslims and Islam, how they view the Muslims in
a positive response.
And if you can make teams where people can always go there, just you don't have to make a long comment. Just a very short, positive comment, maybe you can just add a link over to the other side of stories and so forth. To give people perspective, I want you to exercise your rights even online. Do as much as you as you as you can. Number one, how can I do this? You need to educate yourself. Read was the first the first word.
How often do you read other than just reading blogs and all that stuff? and so on? How often do we how many books to read.
I don't know if you count on yourself. But if you don't read enough every single year, then you're not educating yourself enough. Do you know that they say every 900 days, every 900 days, that means that's less than three years, the amount of knowledge and information that is there in the society in the world doubles every 900 days,
or less than every three years, the number that is out there doubles.
Now, if you haven't had books for the past maybe 10 years, that means you were
way, way behind.
And if you'd like to be up to date,
then you need to educate yourself and read on regular basis. And I would like to suggest for you as a resolution for this year to set your own learn five books, 10 books, and depends on the size, purchase.
read and learn so you know how to exercise your citizenship rights, how to learn about all these cases happening around you how to learn support.
If you need to do something, go and learn about it. And I want you to start the shallow dive in this process really set for yourself limit the shower this year. Number six, as Muslims when you go out and start working all of this, naturally we get weaker. Because we start becoming distant from the race from uniform under some of the
data from the Muslim environment, you might get weaker. So what you need to do in this case
is on regular basis. And my recommendation for this year as the resolution for this year. I want you to add number six, as fast and
fasting and to schedule you need to add because fasting strengthen you and keeps you connected with
the upper level and everyone is slated to stand in there making data lots of data. And let's start with Asha. Asha has just died. That's the 10th day
and then he still lives here.
What do you
think?
There
was the occasion, they said, this is the day when the last day moves
around. So he said it's
so fast that day. And then he said, If I would live to the next year, I will pass nine. And again, that's Friday and Saturday. And to make that a blessing, make acquired a Saturday and Sunday. So that you fast start from this, okay, this coming next week, when and I
also number seven,
maybe many of you need to take a break from this whole crazy world. Another command for those who haven't been to Hawaii, if you haven't been to LA, this coming year,
you go.
If you haven't been there, I want you to plan for, don't hesitate. And you will never regret that
you haven't retired enough to prepare for them.
I know the value of it, because I've been there and ask those who want to help, but they can tell you about it.
And the moment you go there, it's like a life changing experience, you will go and things will change in your mind, then the value of things, the priority of things will change. And I hope that this experience in
the last panel data and makes you more motivated.
Number eight, would you go to have that for yourself. And also for those around you. More importantly is your base that's your house, your house, your family, I want you for this year to make resolution, then you spend more time with your family.
Don't tell me how you need to figure it out. What do you know, it's very important, a lot of power.
To
protect yourself and your family or fire.
People, you need to protect yourself and your family. And I would love for you to start thinking differently and set a priority to spend more time with your family. I know you're going to have to work. I know that you're going to have to socialize with people and so on. But you still need to spend more time with your family, figure it out and make it
go down on how do you do that get organized.
Just get more done.
With less than just the time that you spend with them. Number nine, number nine, give you a gift for charity. give more for charity. In a situation like this. That was you can see the situation in Syria, in Gaza.
And even here in America, the situation many, many people that lost their houses, many of them are Muslims. I know some people
came back to New Jersey, New York to find nothing. Nothing literally their house.
Can you imagine?
And so much hope and expectation. And as they are defined as a reward for them, the house has gone. What do you expect these people to think about their experience, and they haven't seen the support of the Muslim community and the people around them online. Wouldn't be great.
But hamdulillah people are
so good. And I wanted to give for charity, this time, things have also give it to unconventional charities that you're not used.
Again, we'll always be able to see crises that happened in the Muslim world. But also we need to think of crises happen around us origin give to even Dharma project organization doesn't have to be really
give to that project that he around you. Give for example, donate for Muslims organization that would work on interfaith groups. Establishing that relationship.
Do as much as you can I want you to think of giving generously this year.
And finally, and finally, as a resolution of this year, I want you to always be connected with Allah subhana wa Tada.
Remote Ramadan was over a few months back. How many partners have we done?
How many cases
versus after the month of Ramadan? How often do we do that? How many suitors Did you review? How many did you memorize? After the month of Ramadan, make the solution this year that we finished every month you finish one
and that you make a plan to memorize one surah for this year, I want you to name
a few pages when you feel proud of your achievements.
Do that for the next year to make them longer. And in no time you
just set your goals and set them higher. If you do that you follow these resolutions, I'm sure that you have even more to add to this initial data, but often you will see the change start from inside and goes around you Mashallah
Muslim society.
So a lot of us on the mobile economy know
about a lot money brothers or sisters, when I say that we need to start from the inside ourselves to the brain that change for this year to change one individual at a time. That does not mean we don't work in parallel, trying to leave and bring the truth about the situation in reverse. I
would not say to put this on hold until you fix yourself not at all. But as you work on bringing justice to the people on the table, and elsewhere in the Muslim world.
And the cost of doing that, you need to work on yourself. Many of us prefer to work on these objectives. Because unfortunately, we feel we feel good that we achieved something and done something, but you may not be doing the most important thing.
So as we work on this, I want you to also work on that individual change in yourself, your family, your home. So make this as one initial data to achieve something that is positive on the long term. Something shallow data on the short term.
A long,
long, long,
