Tom Facchine – Hadith Series – #50 – Love For Your Neighbor What You Love For Yourself

			The Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said while at the Neff CBD, he swears by Allah. And
he says Allah you may know Abdon hard tell you humbly Jerry, he only he he may you humbly enough see
him on the finale. So this is a slight variation on a well known saying of the Prophet Muhammad
sallallahu alayhi salam, he swears by Allah.
		

			And then he says, A person doesn't believe until he loves for his neighbor,
		

			or his brother, or and his brother, what he loves for himself. And there's an expression in Arabic
that's very useful here, it's a job a couple of death is that the neighbor
		

			takes precedence over the house, you can have an amazing house, you can have an amazing living
situation, all of the amenities, and the granite countertops and vinyl flooring or whatever sort of
thing that you like.
		

			And if your neighbor causes problems for you, you don't have any peace,
		

			you're going to be uncomfortable, leaving the house running into them, maybe they're actually going
to do things that are going to decrease your property value or keep you up late at night, or any of
these sorts of things. Okay. And the opposite is true. If you have you're living in a shack, you're
living in an apartment, the apartment has roaches, you know, the doors are falling off the hinges,
it's not nice. And I've been there. I know it's not nice, but you have good neighbors, and your
neighbors help you and you help them. And all of a sudden, you guys you become greater than the sum
of the parts. Right? If your car breaks down, you know that you can get a ride to work if their car
		

			breaks down the same thing. Right? Loving for your neighbor, what you love for yourself as part of
the stamp going out of that. Going the extra mile to make sure that your neighbor is comfortable to
make sure that your neighbor is happy, they feel safe. They're happy to see you. They're happy to
interact with you that you actually add value and quality to their lives. That's something that
Islam says that we should be going for. And that's something that if every single person did it, if
every single person did it, then your entire community would be living a happier life.
