Let's talk about time. In foresight. We spoke about time in hindsight before, right? The people on the Day of Judgment looking back at this world, and feeling like the time in this world was very quick an hour, sir, a morning and afternoon. But what about foresight, when you look ahead with clarity, with a vision with understanding of how things work, you're looking ahead so that you are not harmed by something, so that you're assessing the potential risks, the dangerous decisions that people make, or you might make and other harmful things that might cross your path. For example, if you're driving a vehicle for you to have foresight is for you not to, for example, look down on your
smartphone or text while you're driving. Why? Because there's a risk that something will happen. And it needs a quick one second response, but you don't have a second because you're looking down. And many people have died that way. If we've ever driven while being distracted, may Allah Subhana Allah guide us to protect and value our lives and the lives of other people on the road. You need foresight, you can see ahead. So if there's something coming up, you can react. Now what happens if you're making decisions today, where you know, a lot tells you prepare for tomorrow, think about what you're sending your head while some don't have some market data, every soul reflect on what it
has sent ahead for tomorrow. You know, there's an inevitable departure from a dunya. And you know, there are risks, you know, what the dangers are, you know what the regret is going to be like, so you take action today. So if you know what there is tomorrow, it helps you to make the right decision today and to use your time wisely. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam informs us that on the Day of Judgment, the believer the Children of Adam will not leave the Presence of Allah subhanaw taala, meaning they will not leave that place of accountability. Until they are asked about five matters. So five things they'll be questioned about. Number one, how you lived your life. This
is general, this covers everything. Your life consists of time. How did you spend your time in this world? What did you do with it? Was it for something good? beneficial? It's a spectrum. Right? Was it for something productive? Or was it wasted? Are you in the middle? Are you at the lower end? What is it that you did with your life in this world? Number two, how you utilize your youth. The years of youth are specified here. Now youth in the Arabic language Some scholars say he's up to the age of 40. Right being amongst a Shabaab is up to the age of 40 and before that, you're you basically become an adult as a Muslim at the age of accountability all the way up to the age of 40. And yes,
people be on 40 or youth as well Masha Allah. Now these years are specified why? Because generally speaking, a lot of youth or a lot of people during these stages and phases of life are following their desires tempted by everything society's offering, are being a little more reckless, have a little less wisdom and life experience. How do you utilize those specific years a time as a youth, once you reach the age of 14, you look back and you say wow, I wasted so much time. Wow, I was reckless. Wow, I wish I didn't do that. Number three, how did you earn your wealth? So you spend time earning wealth in different ways? Was it earn through something pure something haram? Or is it
something doubtful something contaminate something prohibited? That will end up messing up everything else for you? May Allah subhanaw taala purify our wealth? Llama Amin? Was any of the time that you took being paid at work stolen time? Or was it all productive? And fair? Number four, how did you spend your wealth? Where did it come from? And where did it go? Did you spend it on the right causes? Did you spend on the right people? Did you spend it on your family? Or were you stingy? Did you spend on your community? Did you care? Did you take care of all the different campaigns and causes that needed your attention? Did you contribute to continuous charity? And
finally, number five, what did you do with your knowledge? Now knowledge here does not mean you have to be a scholar, it doesn't even mean you have to be a student of knowledge. Knowledge here means What did you do with the information that came your way? Did you act upon it? Or did you forget about it? Did you neglect it? How many video series Have you watched in your life? How many books have you read? How many articles have you gone through? How many classes have you attended? Did you act upon that knowledge in a transformative way? Because there are different types of reactions to beneficial reminders. For example, there are people who hear a reminder and it's like it enters one
year leaves the other immediately no benefit whatsoever, no intention to change. There are people who listen to maybe a Friday Hotbot a video like this, an article that they're reading, and they take in the information. They're influenced temporarily, but there's still not enough of a strong intention to change. And then slowly it fades away in its effects. And then there is the last group, this last group are the types of people who receive that knowledge and in the moment they tried to be so moved by it. So grateful to Allah for receiving it. Yeah, Allah thank you for allowing my eyes on social media to follow up on a hadith, a video or an article that was beneficial for me. Thank
you Allah, out of gratitude to Allah, out of gratitude to Allah they take in this knowledge and they intend with a Nia that is pure with an intention that is sincere and I Zima ambition that I will
act upon this. They intend to actually change in their lives and they start to make some change. Now imagine you were asked about these five matters and many other matters as well. Was it difficult for you to pray your five prayers? Was it really difficult to get up and pre budget on time? Was it really that difficult, too fast that they you're supposed to fast? Was it really that difficult to wear hijab? Was it really that difficult to stay away from the major sin? No, I'm not saying they're not difficult. I'm not saying there's no struggle, it is jihad, enough's, you're striving against your enough. So it is difficult. But when you think about that temptation, or weakness or struggle,
compared to the purpose of life, and the time that you had, and the opportunities that you had, and the weight of Jannah, the value of Paradise, and gratitude to Allah subhanaw taala, for having created us, Was it really that difficult? Or was it difficult only in the moment, choose long term pleasure over short term pleasure? May Allah subhanaw taala guide us and forgive us along with me? What will we say on that day, for the time that we spent in this world, thinking just about ourselves in a very individualistic way, thinking about our name, our career, our fame, our this and that, and forgetting about our families, forgetting about society, forgetting about the oppressed
all around the world, significant amount of time for the believer, it's not just about themselves, it's also about the rest of society, it's about the rest of the world. What are you doing to make it a better place? What are you doing to change things for the better, and you can't blame your parents. Once you reach a certain age and you're basically an adult, you cannot blame your parents for what they've done or how they raised you or what they chose to do with their lives. They may have done the wrong things, they may have even hurt you in some ways. But as an adult, now you need to make the right choices. You need to choose what's right. May Allah subhanaw taala bless all the
amazing parents and our parents and grandparents for all the good that they've done and all the good that they've taught us and the value of time as well. May Allah bless them for that. But now you have to make a choice. How will you live your life? How will you value your time moving forward? What will you do differently? May Allah subhanaw taala guide us, forgive us, protect us and increases in goodness? And may Allah subhanaw taala put Baraka in our time in this world so that we can enjoy an eternal time in paradise Aloma me
