Responsibility is something that we all run away
from but the first part of the Quran
does not allow us as an ummah to
escape
our prophetic responsibility. In fact, it locates us
as a prophetic community with a mandate from
Allah to call people to the truth. Check
this out, Allah says,
Allah
speaking rhetorically to the prophet and says, do
you not know Allah is in control of
all things? Do you not know that Allah
has dominion of all things? And then suddenly
in verse 106
of Surat Al Baqarah that tense changes
doesn't say
this is called rhetoric.
Needs to take a u-turn so the tense
literally takes a u-turn
and stops speaking directly to the prophet but
speaking to him and his ummah
to tell us that we as his followers
share in the prophetic
responsibility.
SubhanAllah.
