The upcoming storm and signs of the future will be the main drivers of the upcoming disaster, including a rise in earthquakes, temperatures, and wealth. The importance of protecting future generations from storm attacks and warning systems is emphasized. The timing and importance of the event is also discussed, with a focus on love and faith in protecting against trials and prediction. There is a promise of a time for the return of light and the return of light will be met soon, and the day of resurrection will be a rough 50,000 years long. AI: Summary ©
We gather here on this beautifully
snowy day. Well, I actually have a better
view because I can see outside in the
parking lot with the beautiful trees. But on
this beautiful snowy day, I want you to
imagine
that you are on a cruise ship,
and the weather
is amazing.
The sun is shining.
The ocean
is beautiful.
The seagulls are flying around.
And there are many restaurants on board,
and it's all you can eat, all inclusive.
So you can eat all that you want
from the many, many types of food that's
available.
There are games. There are activities.
There's a water park. There's a pool. There's
sports.
So everyone is having
a great time.
Now, what the passengers
and even the crew don't realize
is that there is a massive storm ahead.
It's so massive and menacing
that their lives are actually
in danger, but they don't realize it.
They're busy having a great time.
And there's a good chance
the storm is so bad and so ferocious
that there's a good chance that they might
be destroyed.
But they're totally oblivious to it.
They have no clue, they have no idea.
The crew, the captain
does see it on the radar, but it's
100 of kilometers away.
And they don't believe that it's anything to
worry about. It's way too far off in
the distance.
But the reality is
it's actually gonna catch up to them,
and many
of the people will drown.
My friends, my brothers and sisters, this is
an example
of the world that we live in. Allah
tells us in the Quran,
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says, the hour is
certainly coming.
There is no doubt about it, but most
people do not believe. He also says,
and Allah never fails in his promise, but
most people
do not know.
They know what is apparent of the worldly
life.
They know what is to them, what that
is apparent to them, but they are unaware
or ignorant with regards to the hereafter.
So how will we get to that point?
And I wanna make clear when Allah
mentions the in
the Quran, when the prophet
talks about
or the companions ask about a the hour,
it is referring to the day of judgment.
It is referring to
the hour, the moment when this earth, this
world as we know it will come to
an end.
And that is the day of qiyama, the
day of judgment. And of course, there are
many other,
words,
as an example,
that Allah has used to refer to this
day. But the hour is referring to that
moment,
that final hour perhaps. Allah
knows best at to, you know, exactly
what it's gonna
be like in terms of, you know, our
our current life. We have, you know, some
of many descriptions of course which I will
go into inshallah. But nonetheless Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala has called it the hour. And perhaps
some of the the scholars say that it's
called
the hour
because
it is so close.
Right? When you say the year, you're thinking
of something that's far away. When you're thinking
of the month is something which is further
away. But a
an hour
that can happen unexpectedly
can happen at any time. Allah knows best
as to what exactly his wisdom is.
The question is how will we get to
that point? Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and His
Messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam have told us
about the signs
of
this world or the signs that will occur
in this world
that we will witness
as we get closer
to the day of judgement,
as we get closer to that hour.
And some of those signs have already happened.
So for example,
Allah tells us about the splitting of the
moon, the miraculous splitting of the moon by
the prophet Muhammad
mentions this very very clearly.
The prophethood
and then the passing of Muhammad salallahu alaihi
wa sallam. Also one of the signs of
the approaching of the day of judgment. A
form of death which will take the lives
of thousands of Muslims and it is understood
to refer to a plague which occurred during
the Khilafa of Sayna Umar knows
best. The major fighting occurring in Madinah, which
is understood to refer to the battle of
Al Harrah during the rule of Yazid
63 Hejdi, the Muslim conquest of Jerusalem, and
1187
AD, the Muslim conquest of Constantinople,
and 1453
AD, and impostors appearing claiming to be a
prophet
of Allah.
Of course, there are many other signs I'm
summarizing. The present signs that we are currently
witnessing right now. The prophet
has
has has has told us or actually was
say the Jibreel alaihi wa sallam in in
the, in in in the,
when he came to the prophet
to cushion him about Islam, about iman, about
Ihsan.
And there he asked Musa Allahu Alaihi Wasallam
about the coming of the hour. And prophet
mentioned
the shepherds
competing in building high buildings. Right? It was
more descriptive but to summarize, shepherds will compete
in building tall buildings.
Knowledge will be taken away by the passing
away of scholars, and ignorance will prevail.
Wine,
intoxicants,
alcohol
will be drunk in great quantities, will be
consumed in great quantities. And we see that,
you know, especially when we expand that to
include, drugs as well, becoming much, much more
common. Impermissible, intimate contact will become widespread.
Earthquakes will increase. We talked about this last
week. Prophet
telling us that there will be an increase
in earthquakes as we approach the day of
judgment.
Time will pass more quickly. And you might
say, okay, well, the clock is ticking and
the seconds are ticking at the same rate.
Right? But it will appear that time is
going by very very quickly. People will lose
that sense of barakah and blessing in their
time and will seem like, you know, a
year has passed away and it'll seem like
what? You know, it went by in a
flash. Right? So the time will appear that
it is passing much much more quickly. Tribulations
will prevail.
Bloodshed will increase. A man, a person will
pass by a grave of a person who
has passed away and wish that he was
actually in his place. Right? That is the
level of trials and tribulations
and chaos in the world. Trustworthiness
will be lost, meaning authority will be given
to those who do not deserve it. And
again, there are many many other signs. These
are some of the signs that we are
witnessing at this time.
Future signs are to come. And by the
way, the signs are divided into minor signs
and major signs, but I'm not categorizing them
as such right now. I'm mixing them up
based on what has happened, what we're seeing,
and what is still expected to happen. The
number of men will decrease while the number
of women will increase. So males will decrease
and females will increase.
The Mehdi will come.
The jal will appear with all of his
tools of dis of deception,
and it will be an immense trial for
the people who are alive at that time.
And the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam
warned his companions, warned us about the fitna
of Masihuddin Dajjal. And even the previous prophets
made dua for protection against the trials and
the the the tribulation with regards to the
dajjal. May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala protect us
all. May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala protects our
future generations from his fitna. The appearance
of Ijud and Majuj and the associated tribulations.
The emergence of
of the beast, the sun rising from the
west.
Wealth will become so abundant that it will
be difficult to find someone
to, who is eligible to accept zakat. That
is how much wealth there will be all
around. An abyss Abyssinian leader with thin shins,
that is the description, will destroy the Kaaba
that is prophesized to happen from amongst the
signs of the coming of the day of
judgment. You know, there will be a huge
cloud of smoke, duhan.
So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and the prophet
have given us many different signs which are
to come. When those signs come, they're
normally, you know, things which are not very
pleasant and there are not times when, you
know, or things that that we wanna enjoy.
So we ask Allah
to protect us from the trials and tribulations
that are associated with the coming of the
day of judgment. Then one day and the
date only Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala knows best
because, you know, the the disbelievers, they would
ask, the prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
Right? That when is the day of judgment
going to come?
Yes. As an example. So the date only
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
knows. Right? This knowledge is only with my
Lord, only with Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. So
only Allah knows a date of the day
of judgment.
When this hour will be established, nobody can
say with certainty or even predict
which exact date it is going to be.
If anyone tries to tell you that they
know the date, then know that they are
lying.
Brothers, kindly move forward, please, and fill in
the gaps. Jazakamullah. You
know? So that one day Allah
alone knows the date. The world will get
up as it normally does. Like today, it
will be a normal usual day and people
will be going about their business. So you
can imagine that the shops, the malls, the
stores are open are opening as they're expected
to open. You know, people are going to
work. There's a lineup at Timmy's. You know,
there's
people are getting ready to play sports. You
know, there's a newscast every hour. The the,
you know, the weather people are doing their
weather forecast. So the the the the the
life is is going as as as usual.
Suddenly,
The trumpet will be blown, and Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala tells us. The trumpet will be
blown, and all who are in the heavens
and all who are in the on the
earth will pass out, will faint except those
whom Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala wills.
K. The prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam has
told us, then the trumpet will be blown
and no one hears it
except that he will bend his neck to
one side, meaning in an attempt to listen
to it. You know, there's a strange sound
that's trying to come. You go like this.
You say, okay. I wonder where that's coming
from. So
all,
no one hears it except that he will
bend his neck
to one side, meaning in an attempt to
listen to it and raise it from the
other side. And then the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wasallam said, and the first to hear it,
meaning to hear the blowing of the trumpet,
will be a man who is busy repairing,
the tank or, you know, digging a water
hole meant for supplying water to his camels.
Okay? So he's gonna be busy doing something
pretty ordinary.
Right? Fixing up his tank or arrangement for
giving water to his camels. And the prophet,
salallahu alayhi wasalam, said he will fall dead
and the people will also fall dead. And
the prophet
also told us about the spread or the
rather the speed of the death of the
people when the hour will take place. And
he
said, the hour will occur while 2 men
spreading a garment in front of them,
but they will not be able to sell
it nor fold it up. So you imagine
2 people who are in a shop, like
in a in a market, and they're they're
negotiating
or, you know, one is interested in purchasing
a piece of cloth from the other and
they're spreading it out. And suddenly, the hour
will come, the trumpet will be blown, and
they will not have time to complete the
transaction.
They will not have time even to fold
it back up. And the prophet goes on
and says, and the hour will be established
when a man has milked his camel and
has taken away the milk, but he will
not be able to drink it. So he's
in the process of getting milk from his
camel to drink, but he will have built
the camel, but he's not able to he
will not have time, the opportunity to drink
the milk. And the hour will be established
before a man repairing a tank for his
livestock, as I mentioned, is able to water
his animals in it. And the hour will
be established when a person has raised a
morsel,
a food to his mouth, but he will
not be able to eat it. Okay. So
that is how suddenly it's gonna come. Right?
It's like a sudden strike. May Allah protect
us all. And whoever of the believers are
alive at that time. So a person is
eating and he's picking up a morsel of
food to put into his mouth and before
he's able to put it into his mouth,
the day of judgment will come, the trumpet
will be blown, and that will be it.
Those who have already died before this, their
souls will also faint. And those who are
alive, they will face death. It will be
a day of utter destruction.
Then when the trumpet will be blown with
1 blowing, meaning the first one, and the
earth and the mountains
shall be removed from their places
and crushed with a single
crushing.
On the day when the earth and the
mountains will be in in a violent shake,
and the mountains will be a heap of
sand poured out. So all the big mountains
that you see, you think of Everest, you
think of, you know, all the major mountains
of the world,
all of them destroyed and turned into dust
with, or turned into sand with just a
single crushing. SubhanAllah. And of course, you know,
we we talked last week about,
Allah
warning the people, warning us about
And the mountains
will be like wool fluffed up. Right? What
happens when you drop a whole bunch of
sand or sand gets disturbed or when there's
a demolition? Right? When a building collapses, what
happens? You see a cloud. Right? You see
a cloud of dust, you clear a cloud
of smoke. So Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says,
And the mountains will be like wool fluffed
up.
And when the seas become as blazing fire,
you can imagine how these huge oceans and
seas
will be when they become flammable.
The entire ocean becomes flammable and how they
will look like when the flames are reaching
up to the sky. SubhanAllah.
And when the sky is split open and
becomes rose colored like oil, and I like
to give the example of a of a
of a screen that you might have, a
liquid crystal display, LCD. If it gets cracked,
what happens? You see a big blotch on
the screen. So imagine the beautiful sky and
then all of a sudden you have rose
colored oil especially spreading,
essentially spreading through the sky. The sun wrapped
up in darkness, the moon darkened,
and the stars falling. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
will say,
Whose is the kingdom this day? And he
will answer himself.
It is Allah is the one, the subduer,
the one who is going to subdue all
of his creation,
and there will be a period of time
in between. And Abu Hureyra radiAllahu anhu added
in this narration, then after this period Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will send water from the
sky and then the dead bodies will grow
like vegetation grows.
Everyone who has died, everyone who's ever lived
will grow back like vegetation grows. There is
nothing of the human body that does not
decay except one bone. And this is the
hadith of the prophet that
there's,
nothing of the human body that does not
decay. So everything decays
except one bone and that is the little
bone at the end of the coccyst
from which the human body will be recreated
on the day of resurrection.
And all the bodies will be back brought
back together
and recreated.
And the trumpet will be blown, meaning a
second time. And behold, from the graves, they
will come out quickly to their lord.
And they will say, Woe to us. Who
has raised us up from our place of
sleep? Meaning those who disbelieve will say, Woe
be to us. Who has raised up from
our place of sleep. And it will be
said to them, this is what the most
gracious this is what the raman Allah
had promised, and the messengers
spoke the truth.
With their eyes humbled, they will come out
of the graves
and the description like locusts
spread all over. You imagine locusts, like grasshoppers,
you know, spread all over. That is what
human beings will be looking like, spread all
over
the earth. But when Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala also tells us,
But when there comes the deafening blast,
On the day a man will flee from
his brother.
And his mother
and his father.
And his wife and his children.
For every person, for every man that day,
there will be a matter adequate only for
him. So every single person will be alone
on that day, Your mother, your father, your
spouse, your children, nobody's going to be there
to assist you. Every single person will have
to face this alone. May Allah help us.
The prophet
said that on the day of resurrection,
everyone's going to be barefoot
and unclothed will not have any clothes on.
So Aisha Radiullah Subhanahu exclaimed
that men and women both won't they be
looking at each other? And the prophet sallallahu
alaihi wasallam said, the situation
they are in or they're going to be
in is going to be so grim that
they will not have time for any of
this. There will maybe no time for
looking at one another or, you know, looking
around and worrying about anything else. Everyone will
be so concerned.
The prophet
said, the sun will be a distance of
a mile from the creation
on the day of resurrection.
People will sink. They will drown in their
sweat according to their deeds. Some will drown
till their ankles,
while others would sink into it will drown
to their thighs and their waist, and yet
others would sink in till up to their
mouths. The prophet
said that day will be 50,000 years long
after which a person will be admitted into
Jannah or cast into the * fire. Abu
Hurayna
reported that the prophet
said, for the believers,
That for the believers, the length of the
day of resurrection,
it will be like the time between Dhuhr
and Asr.
For the believers,
those 50 1000 years or that period of
time will go by very very quickly. They
will not feel that it is so long.
It will go so quickly as the time
between Dhuhr and Asr. Even the believers who
believe in the truth are worried about this
day. They're afraid of the questioning in front
of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala because Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala says,
And they who give what they give while
their hearts are fearful
because they will be returning to their Lord.
So Aisha radiAllahu anha, she asked the Prophet
Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, she was confused. She
said, are these the people who drink alcohol
and they steal? Like, why are they fearful?
Like, they're giving charity
and they're fearful of the return to their
Lord. So the Prophet
said, he answered. He said, No Aisha. They
are the ones who fast, who pray, who
give out in charity but are fearful that
their deeds would not be accepted from them.
So they do these things but they're afraid
of facing Allah
They're worried that their good deeds would not
have been accepted because you know there are
so many impossible shortcomings. Maybe the quality was
bad. Maybe the procedure, the way of doing
the good deed was bad. Maybe our intention
was wrong or what was was was lacking
in some way.
Prophet
has told us that
The prophet said that actions alone
will not enter any person,
any of you into Jannah
or protect you from the fire and not
even me except through the mercy of Allah
So my brothers and sisters, my friends,
let's try our best to please Allah
so can we so that we can be
recipients
of his mercy. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is
kind, is compassionate, is merciful.
He knows who is sincere and who is
trying, but he also detests
disobedience and arrogance.
So ask yourself,
the things that you are doing,
the things that you're watching, the things that
you're listening, the things that you're taking in
to your body, through your eyes, your ears,
your mouth, and other forms
of entry into your body. Are they likely
to appeal to the mercy of Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala or are they likely to appeal
to His anger?
The way that you are treating your parents,
or your teachers, your siblings,
your relatives,
your strangers, your neighbors, is that likely to
give you the mercy of Allah? Or is
that likely to give you the anger of
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala?
A man asked the prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa
Salam about the hour and he said, Matasa,
he asked Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Salam, when
will the hour be? So the prophet Sallallahu
Alaihi Wa Salam responded. He didn't answer his
question but rather he asked him a question
instead. And he says
that what have you done to prepare for
it?
So the man responded. He says
nothing
except meaning I haven't done much. Right? Anything
extra that's the commentators of Hadith explained. He
hasn't done any extra good deeds apart from
the obligations
except he said that I love Allah and
his messenger Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. The prophet said,
you will be with whom or with those
whom you love.
You will be with those whom you love.
So my friends, my brothers and sisters, we
understand
that even who we love is important.
If you cannot do much,
you don't have time, you don't have the
energy to do lots of extra good deeds.
At the very least, love Allah and his
messenger, Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. May Allah protect
us from the trials and tribulations of the
day of judgment. May Allah
guide us to that which pleases him most.
May he protect us from that which displeases
him. May he ask Allah to
protect us and our future generations from all
forms of evil and misguidance. May he ask
Allah to make that faithful day easy for
us
and all of the believers.
We'll take a few moments. Inshallah, we'll continue.
