Shadee Elmasry – Perseverance In Dua EP. 9 Ramadan 2024

If a person makes drop properly and does exactly what the Prophet

sallallahu alayhi wa sallam teaches us on how to do it, you

will transform as a human being. And one of the things that's going

to transform you as a human being is that you are going to learn

perseverance, perseverance and persistence is a precondition of

dua, and oftentimes Allah subhanaw taala withholds his answer from

you only to grow and to develop your perseverance. There's only

one way to learn it. And it is through actual real life being

deprived of what you want.

Here the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salam gives you the number one

most important positive precondition positive

preconditioning, meaning something you have to do, there's only one

truly positive precondition for da, and there's one negative one,

the negative one mentioned it earlier. You make sure your wealth

that you earn is halal. The food you eat is halal. That's like

negative. In other words, avoid the haram. That's how it's

negative. Now the positive one is in this hadith and Ebihara, the

Allah which Allah and not us, will allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,

the Prophet peace be upon him said, you will get your answer,

provided you don't rush, Mata myalgia they said, O Messenger of

You worked eight years. So Why the rush? Now the rush is because

is that one year pass

Since two years passes, eight years path, 10 years pass, you

still keep it going. Why? Because Allah commanded you so because the

Prophet said, that's the only thing that you have to do, you're

only cardinal sin that you do not will not be answered as you give

up on it. Now, once you go through this in life, with a matter, let's

say a single matter that's been bothering you, and you went

through it, and after 15 years, your DUA was answered, what kind

of person you become, you become somebody who knows things take

time, and you become someone who will constantly persevere in other

things. So Allah taught you a character trait through this one

incident and that's why having desires is good. Having a desire

having ambitions, it's a good thing, because in getting them

from Allah subhanaw taala from their source, you're gonna learn a

lot.
