One time the son of one of the companions was overheard by his

father, saying, Oh Allah grant me, a white palace in Paradise, make

it look like this, make you look like that, et cetera. The father

then said, Oh, son, this is not how we used to make dua in the

time of the prophets below it is.

Simply ask Allah for Jim. So what does he mean here means it's my

crew to make your DUA very specific. It's not forbidden, but

it's my crew, and it wouldn't invalidate your DUA. But it's not

the way of the prophets of Allah, what He was saying, the Prophet

used to ask for generalities. And Allah to Allah will grant it how

he wishes to grant.

So sometimes somebody says, I need to make dua for someone so 90% of

the draw of so many people is for marriage, this is the person I

want. So what's the answer to that, you should say, this one or

someone better, right? Because you have to believe that Allah can

grant you something better. And you cannot restrict something that

Allah made vast, and you can't restrict something that you don't

know the details about. And only Allah knows. So you don't know

exactly if this specific person is the one for you. So you should

make dua for it, but also open it. In other words, this person might,

or someone like her, or someone like him, or someone better than

her, someone better than him, or someone with these attributes,

what you're looking for is happiness. What you're imagining

is that this is the only thing that can make me happy. And that's

the mistake. Everyone's looking to try to make themselves happy. Even

animals they want to eat so that they can feel satisfied. Plants

want to lean towards the sun, every creation of Allah is created

to improve itself and benefit itself and make itself feel good.

But we can't imagine that we know best about what makes us feel

great. And we should leave that knowledge to Allah. So this is

from the adab and is really from the mcru hats of dua is excessive

specification. Now, the final discouraged thing to do in dua, it

comes to us from Imam Abu Hanifa, any expression of dua that could

confuse the listeners on what you mean by it is mcru. And it may

even be haram if you're certain that people will become confused

by it. And it is to make certain language of telestial and Estiva.

That would make people think, To whom are you making dua? What is

this language we never heard before? So Hanifa says, it's also

taught by the great theologian of our times Hamza Bacary, that this

is forbidden. Why? Yes, your language may be 100% Correct. your

OPT either may be 100% Correct. And technically there is a way to

explain your prayer. But it's confusing to everybody else. As a

result of that. It's forbidden. Even something as commonly said,

says Abu Hanifa as be happy Mohammed. So this is something we

all know and love that Allah loves His Messenger more than anything

else. But Abu Hanifa used to say, if this would give people in

imagination that Allah owes the Prophet something and Allah

doesn't owe anybody anything, then you should avoid such language
