AI: Summary ©
The speaker discusses how belief in the unseen became taboo and eventually became "slacky," leading to people being "weaker" and losing their pride. They emphasize the importance of removing the "weaker" factor in one's actions and citing a book by a Christian preacher that emphasizes the importance of one's deen for one's actions.

I believe in the unseen, obviously, a lot of people used to
believe in the unseen. But once science really took off, and
rationalism took off, at that point, belief in the unseen became
taboo, it became not in fashion. And you got these basic people
like Deepak Chopra going around. And he is a very blunt rejecter of
the unseen, he says, belief is for the weak,
it's for the weak, they cannot handle their problems on their
own. Belief is for the weak, we have to emphasize our belief in
the unseen. And recently, Deepak Chopra had this debate with a
young
Christian preacher. So he says, At the end of the day, you're putting
your red, you're putting your faith in something you don't see.
Okay, that a book that was written 3000 years ago, by people you
don't know.
And the man said, this young preacher, but he, he really
understands religion in general, he gave him a great response. He
said,
it might be true, that I didn't see the people who wrote those
books. Okay, I didn't see that.
I don't know who transmitted it, who brought it down to me. But at
the end of the day, at the very least, when I do good,
I'll attribute it back to a source and it won't be a source of pride
for me. And when I do RAW and when I do wrong, I'll have a source of
guidance for me. And when I am in trouble, I'll have someone to go
back to Okay, so this guy he gave a very good answer to believe in
the unseen really, if you remove it from us, we lose so much. And
it's something that you have to not be ashamed.
Okay.
That wasn't him it was maybe it's something I've seen
so this is something that people have to
when you explain your deen
your word a place you're always explaining your deen if you're
live interacted with non Muslims a lot of times, your explanation
simply is,
is this is something I haven't seen, but we believe in it is we
do believe in the unseen and that's the basis for my action.
