Thank you all,
so today we are here again with the
Sheikh Salim Al Amri.
Just to remind every everyone, all of the
students again,
the etiquette of the class, please save the
questions for the q and a at the
end. You can message us throughout
in the chat function
if you have any questions.
But the first hour will be the,
the speech from the below beloved Sheikh, and
then second half will be the q and
a as is always.
So that said, I'll hand over to the
Sheikh.
Please continue, Sheikh.
My dear brothers and sisters in Islam. Today
is our weekly class,
Nasirullah
Jahiliyyah, the issues of Jahiliyyah
by Sheikh Al Imam al Mujaddid Muhammad ibn
Abdul Rahab
And we are
still
elaborating
and
expounding
on the third one,
the third
mas'allah,
the third issue.
The
says,
If you recall
in the last session,
the author of Raheem Allah mentioned
the Hadith reported in Sahih Muslim
when the where the prophet says
So three things the prophet
mentioned because
the people of Jahiliyyah,
it was common among them
that they don't
accept anyone to rule them.
They ex don't accept
abiding by law.
They consider that a form of humiliation.
So Islam came with the opposite that we
have to obey. We have to listen to
those who are
an authority. This hadith teaches us that.
Indeed, Allah is pleased with 3 things Allah
loves for us to do,
that we that you worship
no one except Allah
without any partner,
that we
stick together,
unite
all to the robe of Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala and should not be divided,
and then we have to advise
those who are giving authority
over
our affairs.
So here, the author of Ahrimanullah is saying,
which means, he's saying,
never
occur any defects in the religious and worldly
affairs of mankind of people, except that it
was due to the to a violation
of these
three things mentioned
of in the hadith of the or
one of them or 2.
These three things.
All
the defects
happened in peoples,
dealing
religious and worldly affairs
due to
the violation of any of these three
important principles the prophet
mentioned.
Sheikh Islam Ibn Taymiyal Rahim Allah Ta'ala
in his Fata'a, Majumur of Fata'a,
volume 1, page 18. He says,
The meaning
of Ibn Taymiyyah saying.
These are three principles mentioned in the in
the Hadith
and other Hadith.
They have summarized
3 important
principles,
3 important
rules and and co and provide we have
to abide by.
Principle
number
1,
that
offering
our deeds
to Allah only. We worship only Allah.
Allah.
The creed,
the doctrine,
fulfilling our obligations
towards our creator
by worshiping him alone without associating
any partner with him.
That's principle number 1.
Principle number 2, advising those in authority sincerely
and to remain within the group of Muslims.
That's number 2. Very important
principle
for the Muslims
to maintain their unity.
Maintain their unity
by
advising
those who are in the society sincerely,
and
you they don't revolt against them
because
any revolution
is going to
tear apart
the social fabric of
the,
will cause division among the Muslims,
will cause bloodshed.
And
the examples are before your eyes right now
you see on the screens.
Muslims
are killing Muslims.
A
brother
see
something really painful.
2 brothers.
What's happening now in Sudan? Two brothers. 1
in this side, 1 in that side, brothers.
Biological brothers, and they are killing each other.
That's why these
principles,
Muslim, they have to abide by.
When the prophet
mentioned these things,
and he warned warned us against
breaking such principles
because
the results are known
what will happen.
And once the bloodshed has started,
who will stop that blood the bath of
blood? Who will stop it?
Everyone wants to take revenge.
Killing
your brother.
A Muslim
killing his brother.
Muslim. So second principle, the prophet mentioned,
advising those in authority
sincerely.
When you the people who fear Allah
approach them
and they advise them.
And they remind them
about their responsibility
before Allah
and what will happen to them.
Because
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala made the Imam
Junda, like a shield
to protect his subjects.
So he is
responsible before Allah and accountable
about his subject, and he is going to
be questioned
about, did he
give the subjects their rights?
Did he
protect them?
Did he fulfill
his obligations
towards his subject or not?
So the second principle
to
give this
from the heart
to those who are in the and
to remain within the globe of Muslims.
You gave him the. You
reached him.
You advised the ruler,
but you don't revolt.
You don't call for revolution.
K?
Because
he didn't show
his disbelief and open blasphemy and his.
So as Muslims, we have to be patient
as remain,
maintaining
the togetherness, maintaining the unity of the Muslim,
and
to avoid bloodshed and massacres.
So these are
very important principles,
my dear brothers
and sisters. We have to keep in mind.
We worship Allah alone. We advise those who
are in authority.
Number 3,
we maintain
the unity of the
No,
rebellion.
K? We don't rebel we don't
try
to cause
commotion,
to cause chaos, to cause trouble in the
in the community.
So these essential principles
sum up the
foundations,
These essential
principles, they sum up
they summarize
for us the foundations
and rules of the deen,
we have to keep in mind.
They explicitly state
Allah's rights upon his servants.
And what are the lights of the servants
upon each other?
That's how
the the relationship between
the ruler and the subject.
So
and and the mutual rights.
The ruler has rights over his subjects, and
his subjects, they have right rights over him.
So everyone has to
fulfill his rights fulfill his obligations
towards the other.
The ruler has rights. We have to give
him his rights by obeying him
as long as he doesn't
ask us to do something. The
rights of the subjects that they should be
treated justly,
should be protected.
They have to be giving
the,
their lights Allah,
they
has given them.
So this what the Sharia teaches.
And then he said,
and only by abiding by these principles,
justice and well-being
can be achieved,
can be established.
Without this,
it's impossible.
Without this,
it's difficult.
How can you
establish justice?
How can you have a state,
stabilize the state
with no obedience,
no stability?
How do you expect to have well-being, to
have prosperity,
to
have
a booming economy? How?
When
you cannot feel safe to go
for 1 kilometer,
from one place to another place.
So all these countries
that
entered into this dark
tunnel, see
their situation now.
Even they cannot go to the supermarket
to buy something.
Snipers
are everywhere.
Bullets are
flying everywhere.
Ask any Muslim
whose country is going through
that turmoil,
that difficult
situation.
And you will find him shedding tears
about the past.
The days in the past to hit to
the current days.
Oh, utopia,
paradise on earth.
See, my dear brothers and sisters,
the the nema and the blessing
of security
and to feel secure
is one
of the blessings
Allah reminded
Quresh about it
that he is the one who provided for
them
and granted them safety this them safety and
security.
You
sleep peacefully.
You're not afraid someone will break the door
and steal your belongings,
kill you.
You have that
peace.
If that feeling,
you feel secured.
This is one of the blessings
Allah
gave the Muslims.
But, unfortunately,
many Muslims,
they started violating
the Islamic teachings, and now they
are regretting and bearing the consequences.
To be grateful to Allah,
So
is saying, and only by abiding by these
principles,
Not you follow your own desires
or follow
these
revolutionary
slogans,
democracy,
freedom, all that nonsense.
K?
Because you have life examples.
Life examples before your eyes.
You see them.
You see
the people are refugees.
Overnight,
they are outside of their homes,
in tents, in the open,
and only by abiding
by
these principles
mentioned in the hadith of our beloved
prophet Muhammad,
Then and only then,
the Adil will be established.
Justice
will be established.
Well-being
will be established.
Advancement,
prosperity
can be achieved
because there is security.
There is law
in the land. There is law.
Everyone will be brought to justice.
And only by abiding by these principles.
Justice and well-being can be established on earth,
and this salvation
will be granted in the hereafter.
So you will have peaceful life,
stable life,
life full of justice.
No one
test passes
and crosses
the boundaries.
Everyone lives within
his boundaries
because
there's no absolute freedom.
No. Your freedom is limited.
It has a limit.
Once you reach the limit of your freedom,
mind starts.
If you try to cross
the limit of your freedom, you interfere
in my territory,
my area.
You affect you interfere in my freedom.
You have no right.
So when everyone lives within the limits,
peace,
security,
well-being,
everything becomes
widespread.
Fraternity,
love
will be widespread among the
members of the community.
And on top of that,
salvation
will be granted in the hereafter
when you abide by these principles,
unquote.
This what Sheikh Islam Ibn Taymiyyah
mentioned in his Midi Mur al Fitawah, volume
1,
page
18. The 4th
Nas'allah,
an issue
that Islam
came with the opposite of what the people
of Jahiliyyah were upon.
So this is the 4th mas Allah, 4th
issue
of what the people of Jahiliya were upon,
the author says.
And Nadina
Okay.
23.
So the oath that the,
this is issue number 4.
This is the
the 4th aspect of the
people of Jahiliyyah. This is the 4th characteristic,
the 4th trait
trait of the people of Jahiliyah, peoples of
ignorance.
People who are far away from following and
abiding by the divine guidance and the revelation.
So
he says the religion,
the deed of the people of Jahiliyyah
was built upon
based
upon
certain
principles
they follow.
The greatest of which
the greatest of these principles
was
the taqleed,
the taqleed.
The taqleed is this blind following,
blind following.
They follow
their fathers, their forefathers,
their ancestors.
This how we found our people.
They don't think. They don't rationalize.
They don't reflect. No.
They don't pause and say, okay.
Let us have a look, and let us
reason. Let us think
is what we are upon. Correct or not?
No.
This is how we found our forefathers.
So this is the biggest principle,
the greatest principle
for all
the disbelievers.
This is how we found our forefathers.
This is it.
If you are not with us, you are
against us. This is the
you see?
You heard this statement.
If you are not with us, you are
against us. That's it. Very simple.
So you have to be with us.
K?
So this is
one of
the messa'il.
Islam said no. No.
We don't follow
everything.
We sift it.
We checked it. We checked this thing which
we inherited
that passed to us. We
check it. We have criterion,
yard district. We put it on the
scale of the Sharia.
Does it comply
with the divine guidance? Does it comply
with the law of Allah? Yes.
We keep it.
No. It goes
against what Allah said. We reject it.
We reject it.
This is
a book which is
really I recommend that
you read
the 7 habits,
7 habits
by those most effective and influential
people.
In that book, the 7 Habits,
the author
mentioned.
He said,
you have to focus
on the circle of your influence,
not the circle of your concern.
There are 2 circles. 1 inside the other.
Your circle,
which is something you can influence, something you
have control over it within your hand.
Focus on that. Circle which is concern,
it is beyond your capacity,
and you have no hand in it. You
can't do anything, but you can increase the
circle of your influence.
So the if you increase your circle of
influence,
the circle of influence will increase, and the
circle of concern will shrink.
Then he mentioned something,
and he said, and you
have
to
be
okay.
Like, you act like filter. Yeah. Like a
proxy.
Not everything you pass it to the next
generation,
to your children.
Not everything you your your parents did to
you,
you do it to your children. Don't do
that.
Filter it.
You pass only the good things
that you learned
from your parents
and grandparents,
etcetera,
and
your
ancestors.
Not everything you learn from your parents, you
pass it to your children. Don't do that
because there are many things
our parents did which is wrong
in their upbringing. Should we carry on
passing this
wrong
methods and techniques of upbringing to and try
to bring our children in the same way?
No.
You pass only the good things.
This what Islam did.
Good things
must work out. We we retain
and keep.
Bad things, we reject.
We reject.
That's why the prophet
one day, he said,
Help me, brother. Whether he is
wronged
or he is the one who is wronging
others.
Help him whether he is.
He is the one
who wrongs other, he's the wrongdoer,
or he is wrong.
This statement
was known among the Arabs before Islam.
This statement the prophet mentioned,
the Arabs,
that was
one of the principles
they follow.
I follow I help my brother,
whether he is
transgressor,
whether he is wronged,
no matter what.
So the Sahaba were shocked actually
when they heard the prophet
repeating something.
They are they were used to it,
but see what Islam did
with this filter.
So the Sahaba, they asked,
how prophet of Allah
To help him when he
is wronged,
that is clear to us. But how do
you ex
do you expect us to help him when
we know
he is a transgressor,
wrongdoer.
How we can help him? The prophet
said.
You stop him from
crossing the boundaries, crossing the limit. You stop
him from
wronging anyone,
teaching anyone in history.
You stop him.
So by stopping him
from
harming others,
actually, you are
helping him against his nafs.
See how Islam
corrected this statement
and gave it another dimension,
a new meaning
of helping the transgressor
or helping the wrongdoer
by stopping him.
And that's why in Islam, we have what
we call Amrul mumaru.
We enjoy what is right, and we forbid
what is evil
evil.
When something is doing evil, we stop him.
And by stopping him, actually, we are helping
him against him
himself or herself.
And we are also at the same time,
we're protecting
the community.
So the people of Jahiliyyah,
they were upon
this blind fellowship,
blind following,
imitating, and emulating
their fathers and forefathers.
And whatever they inherited, whatever
reached them, they
hold to it
and try to
impose it on
those
who will come after them,
the coming generation.
And for that reason, Allah
is telling us insulah to Jukhruf.
And, similarly,
we sent not a warner before you, Muhammad
to any town, any people,
except that the
elite or the luxurious
ones, those who are well off
among them said, verily, we found our forefathers
following a certain way
and religion,
and we will indeed follow in their footsteps.
Let us reflect in this beautiful ayah.
No messenger came.
I was sent
to any town,
to any group of people,
except
this what happened to them. They were confronted,
opposed
by whom? The poor?
The destitute?
The downtrodden?
No.
Always
always the opponents
of
the call of to the truth
will be
the rich people,
the elite,
the upper class,
the.
Why?
Because
the message
that prophets
came with
calls for
justice,
equality.
No one is better than the other.
And those, the upper class, they don't want
that.
They don't want to be treated like the
rest.
They want to remain
in that lofty position.
That's why
one of the smartest question,
Herakl,
and Bukhali,
he posed
to Abusafyan
when he I he when he was asking
about the,
he asked Abusafyan,
Who follows him?
Who follows him or who
are his followers? Who follow him?
The
elite
or the poor?
The rich or the poor?
The oppressed,
the destitute.
Who follows?
Who followed
this man, the prophet?
He said, no.
Our slaves,
they
the
poor
the poor are the ones
who follow him.
So Herakl Heraklisa said,
always the case.
Followers of all prophets will be only the
poor and the
oppressed and the downtrodden ones.
Always.
Why?
Very simple.
Because this call,
this message resonates
with the fisullah,
And they are oppressed,
mistreated,
persecuted.
And now this is the relief for them.
This is
this divine
gift from Allah
telling them that
We just made you into tribes and nations
to recognize, to know each other. That's it.
Not to save each other,
not to oppress each other.
The most honorable one among you in the
law,
in the sight of Allah,
the one who is
more pious, more righteous.
So
this is what we are looking for.
So they
didn't hesitate.
They replaced Islam.
And you know what happened to them? They
suffered.
They were killed.
They had to flee to Abyssinia.
So this is always
this is Allah's sunnah.
Always, there will be
opposition
from the elite,
even today.
Let's say the elite always, those who are
on top,
the owners of the big corporates, big companies
are the one who are running the shows
in this
superpower
country.
K? The one who owns all these companies
of manufacturing
weapons,
pharmaceuticals.
K?
They are the ones.
They don't want a system
to treat all the people equally.
No. We have to maintain that,
stay in that in our ivory towers.
We should not come down.
Should the case this what Allah mentioned.
Jahini is still the same
before Islam, even today,
it's
the same
principle they stick to.
No messenger came before you
except this what happened.
He faced this. He was confronted with this.
Those who are living in tariff,
luxury, extravagance.
Right?
Well off.
No.
We will not accept what you are calling
us to.
And they try
to justify
their opposition,
their resistance.
This is by saying,
How do you expect us to leave what
we found our fathers whereupon?
We found our forefathers following certain way.
So here,
that's why in Arabic, you have
the
the word has different meaning. So here doesn't
mean nation. It means also
here
way.
Means that Ibrahim,
his way,
his creed.
And
can mean time.
Do he remembered after a
period of
time. So that's why you need to know
Arabic and
understand the word according to the its
position in the sentence
and the context.
So they
are saying,
So we are following their footsteps.
So we are following their footsteps,
and we'll not leave what we found in
our forefathers
doing.
So this is one
of
the characteristics
of
the of the Bureau of Yahiliya.
Also, Allah
said,
a
21.
Who are the kind of shayt?
Allah subhanahu wa'ala said,
and when it is said to said to
them,
follow that which Allah has sent down,
they say, nay.
We shall follow that which we found our
forefathers
following.
Would they do so even if the devil
invites them to the torment of the fire?
SubhanAllah. Let's just pause here. Reflect, my dear
brothers and sisters.
Whenever I just say to them, whenever
it is said to them.
So this
what
the Anbiya, the prophets,
would tell his their people,
Ittabi Ummah
Azzawalullah. Ittabi Ummah Azzawalullah.
This is
guidance from heaven. This is guidance from your
creator,
the one who created you.
It is for your own benefit.
It will make your life easy.
It will give you
peaceful life,
and you will
prosper,
and you will be delivered.
We will not follow what you are calling
us to.
Rather,
So they are
canceling
what is
said to them.
Follow
the revelation.
No.
So what you are calling to us,
we cancel it. We are not ready to
accept it and listen to it.
Father,
this is what we are ready to do,
whatever we found our forefathers
are upon.
Light's wrong.
Doesn't matter.
We'll just continue.
Continue.
The Jahiliya, current Jahiliya,
contemporary Jahiliya, same thing.
You have to accept.
You have to accept
so do me. You have to accept this
Zionism. You have to accept everything.
This goes against my belief
because the
elite
are imposing on you.
This is what you have to follow.
This is what you have to follow.
So the people of Yairneel said,
we follow what we found our fathers are
upon.
Right, wrong
will continue.
And now imagine
what the current Yahiliya is imposing,
and generation will grow up
with these
beliefs,
these
deviant
ideologies
and wrong beliefs,
and then they will.
If anyone comes
later on to tell them, no. What you
are upon is wrong. They say, no. No.
No.
That's it. This is how we found it,
our forefathers. This is how we found
the people doing.
No wise men
among them
to think, to reflect,
and to tell his their
the his people their people,
hey, our people.
Reflect.
Stop it. Let us have a look. Let
us
try to correct
because we are heading in the wrong direction.
We are heading towards destruction.
No one they no one is ready to
listen.
They
will continue. Would they do so?
Even if the devil invites them to the
torment of the fire,
They don't see. Yes. They don't see. They
are blind.
Deaf, dumb, blind.
They are like the cattle. Indeed, they are
worse than the cattle.
Shaitan is inviting you
to the hellfire
openly,
and you are racing
towards the hellfire,
what's happened to the gift that Allah
has given you or has blessed the human
being with the gift
to differentiate him
from the rest of the
of the animals,
the ability to to
to think,
the intellect,
intelligence,
reasoning.
What happened to that?
You don't use it?
Shaitan is inviting
you
openly to the hellfire,
and you
are willingly
agree and
rush
behind
shaytan
Even if the shaytan,
the devil, your enemy
that Allah warned us against him in many
places,
is inviting you
to the
punishment of the fire. Hadad, the
the blazing fire
called
because it is burning,
blazing,
glowing.
Satan is and you
grace and you hurry up to enter the
hellfire?
Because this what he wants from you.
See, my dear brothers and sisters, shaitan,
he took upon himself
before Allah
that I will not
spare any effort,
challenge
to mislead the children of Adam.
I will be working around the clock.
K?
Day and night, I'll be working with them.
I will come from their right,
from their left, from
before them, behind them,
from all these directions, I was allowing them,
k,
to mislead them.
And so one of the said,
all
this direction shaitan mentioned,
all ideologies,
deviant ideologies,
they come from this direction.
Right wing, left wing, rightist, leftist, leftist,
communist,
rightist,
right wing,
the capitalist,
communism,
socialism,
capitalism,
progressing.
They are progressive
front.
When you
throw
away any belief, oh, he is progressive
and
backward.
Oh, they are backward.
These are the
directions Chetan mentioned,
and
because he is crafty,
smart.
He didn't mention the remaining
directions.
He didn't mention above,
up, and down. He didn't mention these 2.
He didn't say it will come from above
them
or from below.
The early mother said because
he didn't say from above because guidance comes
from above.
So if you are connected to the one
who's above you
and holding the robe and the guidance, he
cannot do anything to you.
And he didn't mention below because he refused
to show
humility and to.
So if you are
showing your humility
and you are always in
frustration
and a state of
servitude,
worshiping the one who's above you,
these two things, if you have 2, you
are linked
to
the upper assembly,
and you maintain this connection.
They cannot do anything,
and you cannot sever
that robe.
And also
placing your forehead
on
the floor,
glorifying and praising the one who created you,
You are actualizing
servitude in your life.
He cannot do anything to you.
That's why he didn't make it these two
directions. He didn't say I I will come
from above, from beneath. He didn't say that,
but he will try all his best
to mislead you
by beautifying
the falsehood.
This is what the does.
What he does, he only
beautifies.
He's a good salesman.
Is a good salesman. He knows how to
offer
his products.
He knows that.
And that's how he
cheated and deceived our father, Adam, in the
Jannah.
What did he tell our father in the
Jannah?
Allah
told our father, Adam in the Jannah,
this is your open enemy.
Don't listen.
And each of all the trees except this
tree. Don't
touch it.
Our father, Adam,
this is the
the Islamic narrative. This is the Quranic narrative.
This is the the what the Quran said.
He forgot that Allah warned him, so he
forgot. That's number 1. Number 2, he was
created,
alaihis salaam, in the Jannah.
Pure, innocent.
He doesn't know cheating. He doesn't know lying.
He had no experience.
And now the she's trying to approaches him
and telling him,
oh, Adam.
So now he's giving piece of advice to
our father, Adam.
Can
I tell you,
show you, inform you
about a tree,
show you how to hold
the tree of eternity?
That's what the says.
This tree,
if you eat on it, you'll have eternal
life.
And the kingdom that will never perish.
Adam believed him. Keep in mind that he
forgot. Keep in mind he had no experience.
That's why Imam Sadi said,
anyone
had been in the place of Adam would
have done the same thing.
So he cheated our father.
He told him,
a tree of eternity.
But what is what was the truth?
When he act from the tree,
he became naked.
So the he he had to
he
and our mother, they had to start covering
themselves with the leaves.
So he didn't tell him the truth of
Adam. Shall I tell you the tree that
Allah warned you,
not to touch? And if you eat from
it, you will be
you'll become naked, and you'll be driven out
from the Jannah, the truth.
No. Adam would never
come near to it.
But he told him, no.
This is
sweet tree,
tree of eternity.
This is what the Chaitan does. He he
beautifies falsehood
because the battle that the ulama said,
falsehood is so ugly, so ugly.
So it has to be sugarcoated.
It has to be loved. It It has
to be presented and look good
because
it's smarter. It is horrible product.
So you have to camouflage. You have to
deceive the the client
in order to convince
the client to buy.
Falsehood is
is ugly,
and this what Iblich
is teaching
his followers.
All ugly things, they give them beautiful names
beautiful names.
They call
the acting
actors
actresses
who are
acting all dirty stuff.
They call them
they are artist
and none.
They call these things art
or fine art.
Fine art.
They call prostitute,
social workers.
They are offering services to the community.
They call
the
alcoholic
drinks,
the beverages.
K?
These are spiritual or spirits
spiritual drinks.
They give them nice names as the prophet
said.
They call the wine
the hamar,
give it a name that is not it's
real name
so that people will drink it.
In Arabic, they say.
These are
spiritual things,
spirits.
They will not tell you, come and drink,
as Imam Malik said.
Come and drink, the mother of all evils.
They will not tell you that. No one
will come to it.
They will not tell you come and take
Rida.
Usually no.
Come,
and we are giving you
good rates,
interest rate, interest,
interest,
gain.
They will not tell you river or usury,
so
they have to give it nicely.
So Allah
is telling us,
well, okay,
Shaytan, we do.
I will say it.
You don't have minds that this crafty guy,
this your open enemy, as I said,
take him as an enemy, you're
listening to him, and he is taking you
to the hellfire
To the hellfire?
By
the way,
when I mentioned the tree,
the police say,
but the Bible says something different, the Bible.
The Bible says something different in the Old
Testament.
They call this tree
the tree of knowledge.
So they said, the Bible says,
first,
this what they concocted. This what they wrote.
They we know as Muslims, we don't believe
in that.
That
when Adam act from the tree,
that was the tree of knowledge because
now he started to have knowledge like the
knowledge of of God.
And there's another tree.
If he eats from it, he will have
eternal life.
So God has to put swords to protect
Adam from the other tree
because now
Adam has knowledge
competing with to the knowledge of God.
We Muslims, we don't believe in that.
Or the bible tried to put the blame
on Eve.
The Quran made it clear.
It's Adam,
not Eve.
And
Allah
was preparing them, actually.
That was a training
session for them.
Because Allah said
before he created them,
I'm going to place them on earth
on Earth.
And their purpose is to live on Earth
and to utilize the Earth and its resources
and
etcetera, and to build civilizations,
etcetera.
For behold, I remember, I recall.
Said to the angels,
I'm going to place Khalifa,
one who will
will be succeeding,
and he will be succeeded.
He will be succeeded
by his progeny,
and they will be succeeding each other.
So Allah, before he created Adam
told the Malaika
that I'm going to create a human being,
and he's going to be placed on earth.
But Allah put him through that process
to prepare him
that there will be an enemy
and who will be with you, and he
will he he came down
along with them,
so be careful.
And that's why immediately,
Adam and
our mother,
they turned to Allah and repented, and Allah
forgave them.
So they received words from Allah
and Allah
accepted their repentance
and forgave them. Chapter is closed. There is
nothing called
inherited
sin
as the Christians believe in.
So this is
one
of the
traits and characteristics
of the people of Jahilia.
This blind
following,
blind
imitation,
emulation
of the forefathers
with our thinking
and rejecting the truth, rejecting
the the,
message of,
the prophets,
K?
And
main opposition will be led by
the elite,
those who are
well off, those who are
having this luxurious
life.
May
Allah save us from going astray. May Allah
keep us remain steadfast
on this beautiful deen. May Allah
bless us
with the beneficial knowledge of our just deeds,
and may Allah
forgive us all false and mistakes and ignorance,
and may Allah unite our may Allah unite
our hearts.
With your permission, I'd like to move on
to the question and answer.
And,
at the same time, you,
post,
the questions.
Okay. Inshallah. We did last time, Inshallah.
So the first question is,
is it a major sin to point out
a Muslim's mistakes,
the weak
points?
The answer,
the prophet
said,
So if you cover
the mistakes and the false and the sins
of your brother or sister in dunya, Allah
will cover yours
in the next slide.
So this is one of the principles in
Islam, one of the basic teachings
that we don't expose
the sins of our brothers and sisters.
We cover them up.
We don't expose them.
K. So this what a Muslim should do.
You should not blackmail
your brother or your sister,
okay, or
put their pictures or whatever,
you think they,
are proofs
against them to tarnish their image and to
assassinate their character.
And this is unfortunately
what is going on.
And,
especially,
the Dua. They have to be very careful
because they are targeted.
The Dua,
the Muslim
callers are targeted,
and people are trying
their enemies to fight anyway,
any mistake,
or a private sin, or whatever,
and plow it out of proportion and to
damage
and tarnish the image of this
guy
who is influential.
Okay?
SubhanAllah. May Allah
protect our brothers and protect our sisters.
So my dear brothers and sisters,
we have to be smart and intelligent,
and we should not expose our brothers and
sisters.
I hope this is clear to the questioner.
Next question.
Is making images Haram?
Is is what? Making images,
pictures. Is that Haram?
Yes. The prophet said
May Allah curse those who
make images or the makers of images.
And there are many, many ahadith about
about this topic.
And on the day of resurrection,
a head head will come from the hellfire
talking,
I am being commanded
to devour
all the picture makers
and those who make images.
K.
Especially those who draw or those who make
what they call them sculpture.
K. They use the
materials,
hammers, chisel, and
so those who make these things,
Allah to Allah, the devils of action, Allah
will ask them, okay.
Go and blow the spirit now. Blow the
soul into them. Make them talk. Give them
life.
See,
in in a country, you know, there's a
museum of all the
famous characters
and
personalities,
presidents,
actors, actresses, etcetera, politician made of wax.
K. So
they will be asked.
Now blow the the soul into it.
Of course, they cannot. They'll go to *.
So to make
images,
k,
whether you use your hands and manual
tools,
or nowadays, you can use the machine
machine.
You can just write the program,
and the computer is connected to artificial machines,
machines with using
AI, artificial intelligence.
Again, they have the intelligence, and they are
hooked to the to the lathe machine,
and then you feed
the material, whether it is
rubber or iron, whatever you want the product
to be, and then you just run.
And the machine will go on, and you
will have different
images and different products.
Will that make it halal?
You didn't use the hamar and the chisel.
No. You just wrote the program.
And then you just say to the program,
execute. Run.
Will that make it halal? The answer, no.
Definitely.
Because
there's no difference except the tool is different.
Tool is different.
Before,
simple tool manuals,
hammer, chisel.
Okay.
Now
lathe machine,
computer,
tool is different. Product is the same.
So that's why the ulama,
Muslim scholars, agreed
that any image,
they call them 3 d.
So any image that throws shadow
is haram. No doubt.
The images of living beings,
humans, animals,
birds.
But if the image is for of something,
not a human being, not a living being,
for example, a tree,
mountain, sea, lake,
that's fine. That's why,
a man came to Abbaas, and he said,
I am an artist,
and I draw pictures.
He said, you can draw trees,
mountains, but avoid living things.
K. Because you see, the prophet
when he entered Mecca,
he saw pictures
drawn on the wall of the Kaaba
of Ismail, etcetera.
So he washed them.
Definitely, these pictures on the wall, they are
not 3 d, yet he removed them.
One day, the
he was away, and then
Aisha,
she bought some curtains.
And she placed placed a curtain in the
door, and it has
pictures of living things.
The prophet when he came, when he saw
that, he didn't enter the room. He stopped.
Said, what was this Aisha?
Didn't, you know, those who who draw these
pictures
will be asked to blow the spirit into
them?
Definitely, picture on a pea blown in a
piece of cloth
is not 3 d,
yet the didn't
enter.
So Aisha said, we took that curtain and
cut it,
and we made
pillows and cushions
out of it.
And the ulama said, if it is this
piece of cloth that has pictures is humiliated,
you step up at it, you
sleep on it,
then that is permissible.
Okay?
Until you use that piece of cloth until
it becomes
rags and
old.
But you don't go and buy,
stuff that have pictures, especially
vest of children,
some
blankets.
They have tigers. They have
peacock, etcetera.
You don't buy these things.
Now
another issue, which is about photography.
Does photography
fall under this or doesn't?
Here,
the contemporary
scholars differed,
and their difference is based on the following.
The illa, the hikmah,
the cause, the reason
why Allah prohibited
making images.
They said
the,
the cause, the reason,
imitating
Allah's creation.
So the one who draws is trying to
imitate
the creation of Allah.
So that is the reason
why Allah prohibited these things.
Whereas photography,
that is not the case,
because photography
is a reflection of the truth
exactly.
It's just a reflection.
You are standing in front of the camera.
The image will be printed on the film,
So there is no
imitation.
Right? So this is the argument.
So those who are saying photography
is not haram
unless you are taking photographs of something haram
that is different.
But normal
photographs, they don't fall
under the haram. They are not picture
making or making images.
This is the opinion of those who say
photography
is not Haram.
The other
team
of the scholars say no. Photography
is not an exception.
There's no difference
because what is more important, the project, not
the tool.
The tool has
changed,
but the output is the same.
And in the Sharia,
the ruling is linked to the product, to
the output, to the result.
So as long as the result is the
same,
the ruling will remain.
So photography,
it is called Tasveer
Tasveer.
Photographers are Musawwir.
They fall under the name mentioned in the
hadith,
May Allah's curse be upon the Musawwir.
So what is he? Musawwir.
What is this?
Surah,
photo,
picture.
So now for you
to make an exception for photography,
you have to come up with the solid,
explicit evidence from the sunnah.
From the sunnah, all the Hadith called Musawwur
Musawwur Musawwur,
and they are photographers.
So all the hadith
are addressed to them.
No exception.
There's no exception in the hadith.
So you are trying to make an exception,
so you have to come up with explicit
evidence from the sunnah.
And there's no explicit
evidence except
your understanding
saying that that the
the reason is emulation
and imitation,
And the hadith
is general.
Made it, Allah made the hadith
of general saying that any
mixture bay
maker
is
cursed by
Allah So you can see. Because if you
are saying
this this is what this
the second team, the 2nd group of the
squad are refuting the the first group. They're
saying, if you are saying,
if the 2 will change, then the Hakum
will change,
Then
nowadays,
as I give you the example,
I can produce
different types of images,
different types of idol,
statues
by just
pressing the
the
the computer to run the program,
and they will have different types and different
sizes
of images.
Is this halal?
I did not do anything. I did not
interfere. I just
run a program.
Definitely, you will say no. Why?
Why now?
You say because now the project
are these objects that
cast,
shadows, 3 d's,
and this is haram.
Good.
So the most important thing, the project, not
the tool.
Changing the tool will not make it halal.
You have to say that you have to
accept this argument
because your argument
this is the of the camera. The camera
is the tune.
So we are telling you the computer and
the lead machine only the tune.
So if you justify
photography
by changing the tool, you have to justify
these images
by just changing the tool
because the tool is different. It's not Tamil
and Chisel anymore.
So what is the strongest opinion?
What is the summary? The summary photography
falls under
the generality of other arguments,
and it is permissible
only if there is a necessity,
if there is need,
documents.
Okay?
Passports,
IDs,
educational
purposes.
Like
movie car the movies, the,
programs, TV, these things.
These are necessities.
Yes.
But
apart from that,
taking selfies,
taking
wherever you go, pictures pictures everywhere,
We have to fear Allah
and try to,
avoid the
controversial
matters and disputes.
Is this clear,
Is this clear to the questioner?
Yes. I think that was more than
a good response, Jadakar.
May I move on to the next question?
Yes.
Is fleeing from the battle a sin only
for men or is it also a sin
for women?
No. It's for the men. Women, we are
not supposed to be in the battlefields, actually.
They're only there to and that's why they
will be outside the battlefield.
They only
held the the
those who are injured and wounded.
K? So the
the from the fleeing from the battlefield, it's
for the men.
The men are the ones who
cannot flee and give their backs to the
enemies. Yes. That is a major sense. Next.
Still waiting on people to send questions.
There's no more questions.
No more quest yet? No more questions. No.
Would you like to end, Sheikh?
May Allah
bless you. May Allah protect you all. May
Allah
elevate your status in this world.
May
Allah bless us with the beneficial knowledge of
righteous deeds, and may Allah
keep us to remain steadfast with this beautiful
deen till we meet Allah
and find him, please.
With all of us, I mean, may Allah
unite
our
hearts until we meet
in the coming session, I leave you in
Allah's company and protection.
Have.
