AI: Summary ©
Let us begin.
Brothers and sisters,
and welcome to
our weekly
of.
This is lesson number 52 with our honorable.
I'll pass the mic and the screen to
the and beginning. Don't forget to finish.
Dear brothers and sisters in Islam,
today is our weekly class,
And we have reached the masala number 3,
issue number 3.
This beautiful book by Sheikh Imam Jadid Muhammad
And
in the last session, we talked about
this particular issue, but we didn't finish and
will continue.
So the author says,
this third
characteristics
or trait or quality ignoble quality of the
people of Yahiliya.
So in this beautiful
and precise statement,
the oath of Rahim Allah,
he summarized
what the people of Yahliya were upon,
And this ignoble quality that they possess and
they had
is to act to the contrary
of what the people, though, who are in
authority
tell them to do. They just
do the opposite and act to the contrary,
and they become rebellious.
And they consider this
rebellion
and,
breaking the law
a virtue
for.
That's how
their mindsets were,
and they consider, on the other hand, obeying
and hearing
and abiding by the law
as something humiliating
and degrading.
So they want to
just live
their life the way they want, following their
own whims and desires.
No law.
Just the law of the young girl.
K? The one who is stronger
can dictate
whatever he wants.
So Islam
came with the opposite.
So
the
prophet taught just the opposite of what they
were upon.
And he commanded
the Muslims
to hear and obey
those who are in authority
as long as they don't ask them
to do something haram
that goes against
what Allah says.
Because the moment they
ask us to do something Haram,
we don't hear and we don't obey.
But as long as they
command us to do what Allah
tells us to do, we have to hear
and obey
as well as advising them.
Ad Din and Naseha. So
the religion is a piece of advice
to the rulers
and to the subject,
to the elite, and to the common
man.
This is mutual
advice
advising between
all different levels and classes in the community.
K?
Each one advises the other
and reminds him.
As Allah said in Surat Al us,
by the token of time,
by time, the token of time, man is
in a great loss.
Except those who believe.
And do a righteous deed and did righteous
deeds.
See?
So they
advise each other, and they remind each other
about
abiding by the truth, staying on the truth,
and advising each other also to
remain
patient
in facing adversities.
Allah
says in Surat al Nisa, a 59.
All believers,
obey Allah
and obey the messenger,
and those who are in authority among you.
Should you disagree
on anything,
then refer it to Allah and his messenger.
If you truly believe in Allah on the
last day,
this is the best and fairest resolution.
Okay. Now
this beautiful ayah,
every Muslim has to follow
and abide by
because you are one of the believers, and
Allah
is addressing
all the believers.
All you who believe.
By following
what he tells you,
the do's and the don'ts.
Because the whole
law of Islam, Sharia of Islam,
is about
rights and limits.
Rights
imposed on us,
rights
for Allah,
and rights for human beings.
We have to fulfill our obligations
towards our creator
and give Allah his rights,
and that is to worship him alone
without associating
anyone with him
and to
follow
his
commands,
what he revealed,
follow
the revelation,
the wahi,
and not to seek guidance
anywhere else.
You seek guidance only through
the book of Allah and the sunnah of
because
everything you need is there.
Not that you throw the book of Allah
and the sunnah of the prophet
behind your back,
and then you look for the leftovers,
and you start
seeking
help and guidance
with those
who are totally
blind,
wandering
in the depths,
the darkness of disbelief and ignorance.
You leave the light, and you go into
darkness.
The kufus.
No
wise person will do that.
So we obey Allah
by worshiping him alone
and follow
this Hidayah
that Allah has given us,
this book
that guides to the most right, the most
upright,
and the most
straight through the way of salvation.
And we do the do's
and avoid the don'ts.
So,
And
we are his servants
and slaves,
and he is our master.
And the slave has no right to say
no to his master
because he created us,
and he has provided everything for us.
He nurtured us.
He raised us.
He protected
us through all the phases and stages
of our development.
From the beginning, when we were
a drop of the speak
drop of *, seminal fluid, despicable
drop of *
till we came into this world.
And he takes care of us
until we leave this world.
And he knows
what is
good for us, what is best for us.
The maker knows
his make.
He created us,
so he knows us.
Doesn't he who created you? No?
You better?
And he's Latif. He's the most
subtle
and most aware
about all your affairs.
So obey Allah.
And obey the messenger
because
Allah, out of his mercy, he sent us
this messenger
when humanity
was in total darkness.
Total darkness.
This light
emanated,
shown, as the Bible says,
shown from
the mountains
of Paran
Paran,
the mountains of Mecca. That's what the Bible
says in the Old Testament.
So this slide shown
for the guidance of mankind.
So we have to follow this guidance. We
have to follow this light.
Nur,
verily has come to you light
and a clear book.
So the clear book is the Quran, and
the light,
The sunnah of the prophet
not the person the prophet himself,
because
some
groups of Muslims misunderstood
this, and they believe that the prophet
is light, created from light, all that stuff.
And they use this INO.
It is his guidance. The sunnah that he
brought
is light,
Not himself, his person is light,
and then you will hear them saying that
he doesn't,
have shadow.
K?
Has no shadow because he's light.
And then they caught
a narration,
which is even doesn't exist
in the books of hadith.
Allah.
Hadith Jabal. Oh Jabal. The first thing Allah
created is the light of your prophet.
This is nonsense. There's nothing like that.
So here, the light is this guidance, the
sunnah, the wahi from Allah
and the Quran. And the sunnah explains the
Quran,
not the person of the prophet's
life. He's a human being. He's not created
from light. He's created just like
us, like our father,
and he's one of the children of
Adam. As a matter of fact, those extreme,
they said the prophet,
everything is created from the light of the
prophet
and he was created even before his father,
Adam.
What is
going on?
So we know that the prophet
said,
So the jinn are created from
the flame and the the bluish
part of the flame, the marriage.
And he created
the angels from light.
Adam
and he created Adam from what he told
you,
the clay, the earth.
And the
is one of the children of Adam, so
we shall not go to extreme.
So the sunnah of the prophet
is light. He came with the guidance,
so we have to follow him
because Allah
says,
Whatever the prophet
gives you, take it, and whatever he forbids
you, abstain from it.
So we'll have to follow the prophet.
And Allah made him the role model for
us, and he made him the usua.
Verily,
in the example, in the life of the
prophet
is good example for you to follow. He's
your role model.
Good example.
So
we follow his footsteps,
We pray
as he prayed. We fast as he fasted.
We perform
and the rites and the rituals of the
high as he did.
He just followed the prophet.
Whatever the prophet gives you, take it. Whatever
he
forbids you, abstain from it.
Very simple.
If you want to go to Jannah, my
dear brother and sister, just walk behind your
prophet
Follow his 2 steps.
Do what he did and leave what he
didn't
do,
and don't follow anyone else.
Just follow your prophet.
Our scholars, we follow them because they are
the
inheritors
and heirs
of the prophet.
That's why
we refer to the ulama
and seek their guidance.
Because Allah said, first,
ask the people of knowledge
when you don't know.
So
obey Allah
and obey the messenger
and do not invent
and add anything in his deen.
Just follow.
He did this, do it. He didn't do
it, don't
do it.
Those who know Arabic, they should pay attention
O you who believe.
Obey. Is mentioned.
And obey the messenger.
Then
He didn't mention.
No. No mention.
Which means
that obeying
is not absolute.
Not absolute.
It's condition
and conditional.
We obey those in authority
as long as
they obey Allah and obey the messenger,
and as long as they command us to
obey Allah and obey the messenger.
The moment they command us to disobey
Allah and his messenger,
we don't obey them.
1 of the Sahaba
group of the Sahaba were sent on mission
called.
There is Syria and there is Ghazua.
Ghazua, military expedition,
and the,
led by the prophet
and the prophet
is with them.
Grew
small portion
of men sent on task, military task,
but the prophet
is not with them. So this group,
their head, the leader,
set fire for them.
He set fire, and then he told them,
I am your Amir. Right? They said, yes.
Said, I command you, and he is known
by,
having
sense of humor, humorous person.
So he said, I'm your Amir, I command
you now to enter the fire.
Command. Obey me.
So some, they wanted to do that, then
they thought about it. They said, hey. Hey.
We became Muslims to run away from the
fire.
And now
he's telling us to enter the fire. No.
We will not obey
you, but this is not an act of
obedience.
This is an act of dis
you you are going to you want us
to kill ourselves?
When the news reached the prophet,
he said,
had they
obeyed him,
had they entered the fire,
they would have remained
there forever.
What does it mean?
Had they obeyed him and entered the fire,
they would have remained
in the hellfire in Jahannam forever
because you are not supposed to obey anyone,
any human being.
Even if he
commands you to do something haram.
So in Islam,
obeying the ruler or the amir is conditional
As long as he doesn't ask us
to do something haram, we hear and obey.
The moment he commands you
to do something haram,
you don't hear and you don't obey.
K?
And the ulama and the books of, Mufassirun,
they mentioned ul alamr. Who are they? Those
who are in authority. They said 2 types.
The ulama and the umara.
The ulama and the
umara. The scholars
And?
The
rulers.
These are
the ulil aml.
The rulers, they have to consult the scholars
and ask them
about
what is
Allah's hukum, Allah's ruling and rule
regarding this matter.
The
So if you disagree, this eye is very
beautiful.
If every Muslim applies this in his life
and all communities
and all Muslim countries,
most of the differences we have will
be minimized and diminished.
So Allah tells us here,
the internal if you
dispute or
disagree
in on anything, in any matter, the internal.
Remember,
the the
undefined,
the common noun,
if it is in in the context
of, like here,
in the context of
the context is conditional
or negation.
Negation.
Or
in the context of
negation or context of
a command,
then it denotes
the
denotes generality.
And
prohibition.
It denotes generality.
The So
here is
because you can make it a proper noun
or define
by adding al, a shayi.
The internal shayi
in, if you disagree
or dispute
on anything
anything,
because
the statement is general,
generic.
The
in anything. What should you do
do as Muslim?
How can you
resolve this issue or
settle the dispute?
Take it.
Refer it to what Allah said and what
the said.
You don't follow your own opinions,
opinions,
whims, desire. No.
All parties should agree
to accept what Allah said and what his
messenger
said.
So take it to the book of Allah
and to the sunnah of the prophet,
to his person during his life, and to
his sunnah after
he joined the upper assembly.
If you believe in Allah on the last
day, this what you will do.
This what you will do.
Those who believe in Allah the the last
day, they will accept what Allah said.
But if you don't believe in Allah and
you don't believe in the
the last day, definitely, you will not accept
what Allah said. And this what you hear,
and this what you found
the
modernist, etcetera, they don't want Allah and his
messenger.
They don't want to follow the Quran and
the Sunnah. That's
why they are adamant, and they are,
fighting and opposing,
the law of Allah and the Sharia of
Allah, and they are against the Sharia of
Allah
They don't want to
refer to the book of Allah and to
the sunnah of the prophet,
and they pretend to be Muslim. They are
not Muslims, of course. Anyone who rejects what
Allah said or rejects what the prophet
said.
You hear them saying, oh, you want to
take up to the dark ages?
Hello?
Dark ages?
We never had in Islam dark ages.
Your masters,
they had dark ages. Your masters.
Read the history, man.
We don't have dark ages in Islam.
Europe had dark ages. Your masters,
whom you obey then,
and listen to them,
and they dictate to you what to do.
They had dark ages, not in Islam.
These what you call dark ages in Europe,
at that exact time,
Muslims were in Spain,
and the Islamic civilization
was blooming,
blemishing.
Streets in Spain
are lit,
bathed,
public baths all over.
Europe,
No
water? No hygiene?
If someone takes a shower, oh, they consider
he is eccentric.
Illiteracy?
Name all the ills they had.
The king of
England,
he sent
his daughter
or
one of his relatives
to study in Spain,
and he wrote a letter
to the ruler in Spain, the Muslim ruler,
okay, praising him and begging him to accept
his daughter
to study there
so that she can come back when she
comes back,
she will educate
her people.
We don't have dark ages.
The Muslims,
the Europeans
used to call
the Atlantic
the sea of darkness,
or darknesses.
They thought to they used to think
behind the Atlantic is a cliff.
The Muslims, they chartered the ocean
and lose the ocean and reach and landed
in the other world, which they call it,
the new world.
Long time ago before
Christopher Columbus
landed.
This is our Islam,
So don't lie,
and don't consider
that obeying Allah and obeying His messenger will
take you back
to the dark ages we don't have.
Those ages, they were the pinnacle of the
civilization
in all types of disciplines
of knowledge.
European
students
were flocking
and
coming
to Spain to study
different disciplines.
Of knowledge.
But, definitely,
because you are an agent,
and there is a hidden agenda you have
to execute.
So that's why you are against Islam,
and you are against
what Allah
says and what his messenger says.
Some of the
double quotes, du'a,
they refer to the
Islamic civilization.
They say,
oh,
the
medieval
ages.
Don't you know, Ahi, may Allah guide you,
that this word medieval
ages,
okay,
In the mind of the European,
it is synonymous and equal
to the days of ignorance.
The same period
Muslims were civilization
was at its peak.
So why you
say
medieval ages
to give that connotation
and that negative meaning associated
with the word medieval ages in the minds
in the background of the minds of the
Europeans? Why?
Why you have this inferiority
complex?
Why you
didn't tell them the truth?
When you were
in total
ignorance,
Islam,
civilization
was
at its peak.
There's nothing called
an Islam dichotomy
for between
this world, duniya and the.
They go hand in hand.
When you read the biographies of the Muslim
scholars, he's a physician. He's a mathematician.
He is an astronomer.
He's a a.
He's
a.
He's a grammarian.
Yes.
Because all these
sciences
are tools, and mass Muslims mastered them and
used.
So we don't have this problem
that the the religious knowledge and secular knowledge.
There's no dichotomy in Islam.
And you want the proof? Take any book.
Read the Quran and see how it talks.
Take any book on fiqh
and have a quick glance
at the index
and see
the subject
discussed,
And you find
all the things related to your
mundane life are discussed there
because it is a code of life
addressing all walks of life. If
you believe in Allah in the last day,
you don't
believe?
We know
that is something expected.
Then Allah said,
that you
take
your dispute,
your issue, your problem
back to the Kitab al Sunnah.
This is the best
and fairest
resolution,
counsel, for you.
And
And
even
Umar, al
Muslim.
This is the beauty of Islam.
Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him
and his father,
repented.
The prophet
said,
it is obligatory
upon a Muslim to listen to the ruler
and obey whether he likes it or not,
except when he is ordered to do a
sinful thing.
In such case, there is no obligation
to listen
or to obey.
This is our Islam.
We are civilized people.
Though before Islam, we were not selling
ties,
killing each other for silly reasons.
Islam
reformed
Arabia
and the
Oh,
the
bad habits
and practices
were buried
in
the ground.
Finish. Because the light
of the Wahil
illuminated the being,
dissipated,
oh, that darkness
of Jahiliyyah.
So here, the prophet
said alal Muslim.
It
is obligatory, incumbent,
fund.
Otherwise,
there will be chaos.
There will not be order
if there is no son of a god.
Everyone is ahead.
Imagine a ship and there are 2 captains.
This captain says,
steer to the right. No. Stay to the
right. Left.
What will happen to the ship? It will
sink.
Only one captain
to see the ship.
The crew, they have to listen
to what the captain says,
what the sailor says, the head of them.
So that's why you will have order,
not chaos.
Everything is
Allah created in odor.
Animals, they walk, the flock of heave, odor,
deer and odor, flock of
a group or team of lions, everything.
There is leader. Leader.
The birds, they fly. There is a leader.
Show of fish.
There is leader.
So as and we are not an exception
as human beings.
We have to have a leader
to lead.
That's why the prophet
said,
There is a Khalifa.
The Muslims
appointed him and gave him their allegiance.
Then someone
after that appeared and say, I am the
kalimah
to
cause division.
The prophet said,
strike his neck.
Kill him. The second one.
Kill him.
Because he appeared now
to cause division among the Muslims after
they were being
and and after they were united.
Kiran.
Kiran
and mankind. Erespective.
Who he is?
Alalmarih
sanawakpa.
So
we have to hear and obey
to those in authority
whether we like it or not,
like it in the sense
my own
personal feeling.
Not that
I I hate it because Allah hates it,
and it's haram. No. No. But
I don't like this.
Personal feeling.
Keep your feelings aside.
He didn't ask you to do something haram.
Finish.
Whether he likes it or not.
And I mentioned to you the
what did.
When in Mina,
he prayed
the complete.
He did in short term.
That was his.
Now the prophet
he was shortening the salah
in Mina.
And even the people of Mecca, they did
the same thing with him. The sunar Uzman,
that
he is a resident,
so
he is not a traveler.
And he thought the pastor shorted because he
came from Medina, so he was a traveler.
And then mister Oud objected,
but when the started, he joined the congregation.
And when he was asked oh,
before the said, you objected and then you
joined him. Would
say,
dispute
is evil.
You want me to cause division among the
Muslims, and he is my Khalifa?
This was his jihad.
So it
was not an act of disobedience,
so I have to follow my Khalifa.
Islam
Islam is so clear, my dear brothers and
sisters.
So clear.
As long, unless, and until
you are commanded to do something haram.
If you are owed that you do something
which is haram, unlawful, which is sinful,
a sin,
then
you don't obey.
K. Either.
For such case, there's no
obligation to listen or to obey.
Then the oath of Rahim Allah says, Sheikh
Hamadur Abdul Wahhab,
has mercy upon his souls,
elevate his status and.
The author then say,
He's going to mention
3 things,
3 main principles.
If we abide by them,
we will be successful
in this life and in the hereafter.
So here, the author,
Rahimullah
said,
There are three aspects of the days of
ignorance
have been gathered together in 1 hadith,
and this is the hadith reported by Imam
Muslim.
Muslim.
What a beautiful Islam.
What a beautiful religion.
The prophet
said,
indeed,
Allah is pleased with 3 things for you,
that you
not worship anything else except Allah. You associate
no one but with Allah,
And that you do not associate thing with
him,
so you don't worship anyone but Allah. You
don't associate
anything with him,
Then that all of you together hold tightly
unto the robe of Allah
and not be divided into groups,
and that you mutually advise he whom Allah
has given authority over your affairs.
Mutually.
Allah is pleased, happy.
And he loves three things
that we should have and we should adorn
ourselves to him.
Number 1,
You
You worship Allah
without associating
any partner with him. This,
the people of Jahiliyyah were doing the opposite.
They were not worshiping Allah alone. They were
worshiping Allah and others,
partners.
They associated them with Allah.
So Islam said, do the opposite.
You worship Allah alone.
You alone we worship, and you alone we
ask for help.
People of Jahiliya,
they worship others besides Allah.
Jews and Christians, the people of the book,
People of the scriptures, Jews and Christians,
their rabbis,
the monks,
the bishops,
are bad
lords
besides all.
So much so
when Adi
of the
when he heard the prophet
reading this ayah,
he said, we didn't because he was Christian,
he
said, oh, prophet of Allah, we didn't worship
them because
Adeel
worshipping them means
prosthiking,
bowing,
just worshiping them.
So
that's what he thought.
So he said, we didn't worship them.
The prophet explained to him that the the
the scope of riqaat and worship is broader
than that.
So he asked Adi,
Adi,
Didn't they, the rabbis
and
the police, the monks, didn't they change the
law of Allah?
They made the
unlawful lawful and the lawful unlawful,
and you followed them.
They legislated for you. They make for you
new rules.
They said, yes. They said that's how you
worship them.
So today, if you accept what the members
in the parliament
legislate
and the laws they enact
and impose on you,
and you vote for that,
and these laws they are against what Allah
said,
you have taken them as lords besides Allah,
and that
is
kufr, major
kufr takes you out of Islam,
takes you out of Islam
because no one has the right
to make halal and haram except the law
giver, Allah Azza, whichever.
No one has that right.
Allah says, hamal is haram will remain haram
forever.
If a body of legislators
say no,
we have to make it halal lawful,
then they are not Muslims.
Because they have given their rights themselves rights
they don't deserve.
It's
Allah
who legislate.
It's Allah who makes things legal or illegal.
It's Allah who makes things lawful or unlawful.
And and they obey them, so Allah
treated them that they worshiped
them besides Allah
because they have given them the right
of making
things lawful and unlawful.
So they didn't worship Allah purely.
They made
their rabbis and
monks
partners with Allah.
The pagans,
Arab.
The,
Quraish,
the Arabs.
Those who have taken,
symbolized
by the idols.
Like a letter was Abnaba said, a righteous
man used
to make food for the pilgrims.
The wheat with date.
So they said,
we don't worship them except that we want
them to get us closer to Allah as
intermediaries or intercessors.
So that's what the people of Jahiliyyah
were doing. And even in the con contemporary
Jahiliyyah that this is what is going on.
K.
They want to grant rights to the sodomite
and make all vices
acceptable.
And if you
oppose
these vices,
then you will be,
punished by law.
So you have to accept
all types of abomination.
So this is going on.
So this is
this what had been
still is being
practiced.
So here, Allah is pleased
with what? That we worship him alone.
Alone.
Remember.
So here, you have negation,
you have prohibition,
and then nakira, which means anything you don't
worship besides Allah,
whether to shirkuh, be he shayyah, and you
don't associate
with Allah anything.
You don't worship anything
besides Allah.
So you
do the opposite of what the people of
Jahiliyyah
are doing
or were doing.
That's what Allah loves.
First quality.
This is noble quality.
Its opposite is ignoble
quality.
2nd quality,
will be.
You hold all of you hold firmly
to the robe of Allah and should not
be divided.
Should not be divided.
The people of Jahiliya were doing the opposite.
They were divided,
and they were not together.
They were scattered.
Islam said the opposite.
Hold all of you to the robe of
Allah.
Keep this in mind, my dear brother and
sister,
and don't cause division in your ummah,
and try
to minimize the division,
and try
to
call
your Muslim brothers to the Haqq, the and
sunnah.
This what will unite us as Allah said
this
just the previous ayah.
We
59
in in Nisar.
So every Muslim should keep that in mind.
If we have
disputes,
differences,
we come back to the book of Allah
and the sunnah of the So
this is the the psalm with the kitab
al sunnah.
Hold firmly
to the book of Allah,
to this home,
the revelation,
the Kitab al Sunnah.
And the third quality,
This
this
this this mutual advice,
we remind them. They remind us.
See, in the hadith,
that the best of your rulers are those
whom you pray for them and they pray
for you.
And the worst
are those whom you curse
and they curse you. You curse them and
they curse
you. So here, number 3, 3rd quality that
every Muslim should have is this mutual advice.
Those people in authority,
they're not an exception. They have to be
advised.
They're not above board. No.
They have to come, and they have to
abide
because they are Muslim. They have to abide
by what Allah
says,
and they have to accept the advice.
If they believe in Allah the last day,
they should not become arrogant or
feel that they are
so powerful.
They are not in need of any advice.
They know better than anyone.
That is arrogance.
That is from the shaytan.
And just
think about
those arrogant
obliquity,
the dictators and the tyrants. What happened to
that? Read history.
Where are they?
Where are they today? Finish. Go on.
Where is Faraun? Where is Haman? Where is,
Nurude?
Where is,
Hitler? Where is Mussolini?
Where is Mao Zedong?
Where
are they?
Finish. No one will live forever.
So
when sincere people under olema, they come to
you and they advise you,
they don't want anything from you.
They feel pity for you, actually.
They don't want you to end up in
the hellfire.
That's why.
That's the truth. The that's the bottom line.
They don't want you to end up in
the hellfire
with the sheikham and his,
allies.
So you need to
wake up
and accept the advice
because
the fact is that the reality is that,
which no one can deny, all of us
will die, and you will die.
So where do you want to go?
You want to go to Jannah,
or you want to go to the hellfire?
If you want to go to the hellfire,
that is your choice.
If you want to go to the jannah,
you have to be just,
and you have to become
humble,
listen to the truth,
establish justice.
If you want your kingdom
to last for long,
be just
because injustice,
just hasten
and quicken
the collapse
of the kingdom
for the state.
If you want it
to continue to last longer,
Adil established the justice.
Follow what Allah
tells you,
and Allah will protect you.
Put your trust in Allah.
Allah
will protect you.
Allah will defend you.
You should not be intimidated
by anything else
if you are with Allah and Allah's on
your side.
Because he, Allah Allah
defends the beliefs.
So you give this
nasihah
and piece of advice
to those in authority. And those in authority,
they have to listen
because
they are human beings.
And sometimes all those advisers
and,
those whom they consult, they mislead them.
Yes. They mislead them.
They give them
wrong reports
and many, many
misinformation.
They said
among the factors of the success
of Umar Abdul
Aziz
Khalifa Al Amawi
that his adviser
was the Raja ibn Hayawa,
one of the ulama, sincere scholars,
pious,
righteous scholar.
That was his adviser,
and he was always
there was a constant
correspondence
between him,
Ahmed al Abdul Aziz
and Al Hassan al Basri.
That's why
in short period,
he established the Adil,
the justice.
During his reign,
the
zakah collected did not find people to give
them the zakah.
Everyone is saying,
I am well off.
I'm fine.
So they had to write to the Khalifa.
We didn't find anyone to take the zakah.
He said, okay. Count those who have debts
and cleared their debts.
They said, we did that,
but still,
money is surplus, a lot of money. He
said, count those who are not married,
boys and girls, and get them married. And
they did and said,
money is still there.
My slaves have set them free.
All that happened
within very short period of time
because of the Adil.
Allah
blessed his life
and with Baraka.
And Allah reformed his subjects for him.
This is the third
quality
we should have as Muslims.
So we advise those who are in authority.
Ibn Abi Salih from his father, from Abu
Hurayrah, that the messenger of Allah said,
Allah
is pleased with 3 things from you,
and he is angry with 3 things from
you.
He's pleased that you worship him
and do not associate anything with him, and
that you take hold of the robe of
Allah altogether,
and that you give good counsel
to the one
to whom Allah gives command over you.
He's angry with you for
gossip,
squandering
property,
and asking too many questions.
Let us pause and reflect.
So three things
Allah loves
and three things Allah hates and dislikes.
Among the things that Allah
likes,
that we worship him
without associating
any partner with him.
1, 2, to hold to the hope of
Allah.
Number 3, 2,
advise those in authority.
And he's angry with us regarding 3 things,
wasting,
becoming extravagant,
squandering the wealth,
wasting the wealth
because this wealth is not yours.
Mm-mm.
It's not yours. It's a lot.
You cannot say I am free.
I take this money and burn it. I
will throw it in the air. No?
Then you become,
and that wealth will be confiscated
because it belongs to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
And you will be questioned in the day
of resurrection
about this money. How did you earn it,
and how did you spend it?
So Allah hates to ask.
Oh, this is the disease, this gossip
gossip, gossiping,
vain talk.
People, they're always
sitting just gossiping,
and, of course, it is a major sin.
That's number 1. Number 2, ignoble these are
ignoble qualities.
Wasting
the wealth,
your property.
And finally,
asking
too many questions
at the time of the revelation,
like Bani Israel.
And Allah
commanded because they killed.
They found 1
of Bani Sa'il
killed.
So they came to Musa,
and they asked him, who's the killer?
So he told them,
slaughter a cow, hit him with part of
it. Allah will bring him to life, and
he will tell you.
And do you know their story in Surat
Al Baqarah?
They didn't listen. They started arguing.
What is the color? What is the age?
What what? What?
So
Allah told him, just a cow. Any cow
will do. But now they started asking many
questions. So
the description
becomes so strict,
the commentator, they say,
that cow, they didn't find except with an
orphan.
They started by gaining with him. Sell this
cow. I said, no.
My father died, and this is the only
thing I have
I inherited.
They told him, we will fill its hide,
the skin of the cow, with gold.
Had they accepted from the beginning, any cow
would do. So to have that mentality
among the Muslims, this Allah hates
to have
many questions, asking a lot of questions,
not for the sake of learning,
but either for the sake
of
testing the share
or showing your knowledge, etcetera.
So there is evil motive behind it and
sick mind and sick heart behind it. So
that's what Allah hates
and asking
too many questions.
May Allah purify our hearts, and may Allah
keep us remain
steadfast on this beautiful deen
till we breathe our love and find our
Lord with us with all of us. Please,
I mean,
may Allah forgive us our faults and mistakes
and ignorance,
and may Allah
unite
our and unite our hearts in the
And may Allah forgive
us all our sins.
And may Allah
reward all of you, my dear brothers and
sisters,
immensely for your patience and attendance.
Brothers and sisters, as usual, this is now
the question and answers time. So we'll be
opening the floor for questions.
If you have them, please send them in
fast.
We have received some already.
We prefer that you ask
for the.
Yes. I remembered in the last session, I
think it was on Friday, the,
the,
virtues of Islam. There was a question
about, taking a lie to the beautician in
the saloon, etcetera.
And part of the question I didn't hear,
then I have received the question,
written.
It says there
that,
they were they want you to take the
bribe
to the beautician to remove the hair
on the private parts,
and that is haram, of course.
That's haram
for a Muslim man to go to a
beautician
to remove the hair on the private part.
The hair on the private part, the the
pubic hair or the hair on the *,
okay, this you remove it by yourself, not
nobody else.
K? So that part, I didn't hear. So
I request the
moderator or the admin.
If a question comes
and I miss part of it, to be
reminded
so that the answer
will be full addressing
the entire question, the whole question.
I hope this is clear, and this maybe
can be added
to that question in the in that session.
Yes, Go ahead now.
Yes, The first question.
Can you please confirm that if it is
correct
so far, the known prophets
were
4 of them were Arabs only?
I didn't hear the question correctly.
The question, Sheikh.
The question I would like you to confirm
if
only 4 of
the prophets were Arabs.
Yeah. That is what is known.
That what is known in the books.
And this is based on
on the understanding
because they consider
the Ibrahim Alaihi Salam and his descendants,
okay,
that they are not Arabs,
and that is not actually true
because
the historians
classify the Arabs into 3 categories.
Arab Arab
Arab Arab Arab. So 3 categories.
Arab
the Arabs that perished.
They do not exist
anymore.
They perished,
like Ad and Samud, etcetera.
The people of Yemen
and descendants
of.
The
children
of
Ibrahim Ibrahim and his descendants.
So they consider the Arabs that are descendants
from mister Ma'il
as Mustariba,
Arabis,
as that they are not Arabs.
And that's not true because Ibrahim alaihis salam
is an Arab.
And
he comes back
in his eulogy to the same
tree of the Yemenites.
But they left Yemen so
early
and and settled in Iraq.
And over time, the
the language got lost, the Arabic language,
but there are Arabs.
And
Ismail alaihis salam,
you know, he
Ibrahim alaihis salam left his wife, Hajar and
her son Ismail in Mecca.
And then a tribe from Yemen came, Joram,
and they settled
in Mecca.
And Ibrahim Ismail grew up in that tribe,
and he spoke the Arabic again, which he
lost,
and he married from the same tribe.
K?
So
based on the this classification,
they consider
that the prophets who are sent only
in the,
from the Arabs, they mean the Arab the
are
4.
K? And
Muhammad
is from the descended of. But all of
them, actually, they are
When the the truth is all of them,
they
are,
Arabs. Their origin is they are Arabs.
I hope this is clear to the questioner.
We have one verbal question from Kasumba Zubair.
Kasumba Zubair, go ahead.
Them.
Hey, This is Wayne from Uganda.
Try to get his question, Akhir, because I
can't hear him. Well, now we can hear
you, Shala. Please go ahead with your question.
Yes.
My question's about
moving the forefinger
and the prayer and the swaddler.
What's the most authentic opinion?
Because
Moving the index finger in the salah?
Yes. Yes, please.
Because some people some people considers others
to be to be innovators
if they move their fingers in the solar.
They consider them to be
fired from the sunnah, and they hate they
hate them because of that.
Okay. I'm doing that.
Moving the index finger in the salah.
The truth that it is sooner. I reported
it is sooner.
Okay. But what to do? People, they don't
they are not this is they didn't come
across it. It's not known to them.
So that's why they are,
saying it is not Sunnah.
If you
study the maliki madhab, they are they move
the index finger in the salah, the maliki.
They move
it, the index finger
in the salah.
And some, they just raise it when they
make the tawhid,
the teshahood.
And at the end of the day, it
is on the this will not affect the
salah.
This will not affect the salah if you
don't move it. For example,
if all the people in your area and
your country, this is going to create problem
for them.
Okay. Don't move it if you are actually
imam or teaching them.
Okay.
For a while, don't do it. Just do
as they do. And later on, when you
educate them, they will come to know.
They will come to know. So don't make
this an issue
to cause division and and problem in the
community.
Subhanahu
wa.
The, the one of the,
this incident happened
and mentioned by
one of the ulama
who commented on the.
He said
a person was moving his index finger in
the salah.
So the one next to him
broke his finger.
He thought that he was doing something. He
was blamed in the salah.
This is
this is
the the *. And when people are ignorant,
you expect anything.
You expect anything.
During the,
the,
the jihad in Afghanistan
against the Russians,
The
one of the broadcaster
stations, without mentioning the name,
was broadcasting
in Bistu
and was telling the Afghanis,
there are Wahabis among you. Wahabis.
And
to find out the Wahhabi, he will put
his hand
on his hands on his chest,
and he will be moving the index finger
in the salah.
So one of the there,
Rahimahullah,
he told the Arabs there,
listen.
This is what this broadcasting station is
is telling and trying to brainwash
the Afghanis
and calling you and
telling them that you can easily find them.
They put the right hands on their left
hands on their chest and move the index
finger. So don't do that. Just put your
hand down like them and don't move the
index finger. And, of course,
the brothers, they were matured. They understood that,
and
they,
they followed what the sheikh told them.
So the Afghanis are looking. Oh, he is
Afghan. He's like me, Hanafi. His hand is
down. He's not moving his, so we don't
have for harvest among us.
So this needs maturity and needs
to know the
priorities
of the adila, and if something
must have is going to cause.
You leave the must have. I hope this
is clear to the questioner.
Well, that is clear, Sheikh. And, I believe
that was our final question for tonight's session.
If you'd like to conclude inshallah
May Allah
bless you. May
Allah elevate your status and
and may Allah
reward you immensely for your patience and attendance.
Until we meet
in the coming session, I leave you company
and protection.
