Salem Al Amry – Lesson 12 Weekly Class Masail Al Jahiliyya
AI: Summary ©
The hami agenda is not for everyone to be angry and heated up, but for individuals to be allowed to carry on practicing their own religion. Islam has given individuals the freedom to pursue their own dreams and carry on practicing their own religion. The hami agenda is designed to encourage cooperation between Muslims and non Muslims regarding holy sites and holy shrines, and is designed to address issues of the people at a particular moment of time and in a particular place. The hami agenda is designed to encourage unity and work hard to get rid of ign décor, while also addressing issues of the people at a particular moment of time and in a particular place. The speaker provides guidance on the importance of the heart and the whole body, and advises against cutting ties and not giving money to a woman.
AI: Summary ©
Ready when you are, Sheikh. I'm ready, Alhamdulillah.
Alright. Let us begin.
Brothers and sisters,
and welcome to our weekly lesson. This is
lesson number 12, I believe,
of Masa'il Al Jahiliyah
to be delivered by our Sheikh, Sheikh Salaman
Amri.
I will pass the mic and the screen
to the Sheikh, and the Sheikh can begin
inshallah.
Woman
I'm my dad, my dear brothers and sisters
in this club.
This is our weekly class,
The issues
that Islam addressed
that the people of Jahiliya were practicing
before Islam
and corrected these
issues
and practices.
We talked so far
about
3
main
concepts
mentioned in the book of Allah.
And today,
another concept
which the Quran
mentions,
and it is
the
hamiyat.
Hamiyat,
actually
for example,
hama
means heated up. Someone is heated up. He's
reacting.
So, normally, that when you heat up and
you react angularly
to defend something
or to support something.
So that is a that reaction is called
chamilla, and it can be
praiseworthy,
and it can be blameworthy.
If it if it that's an action for
the sake of Allah, for
you are getting heated up, angry, upset because
Allah's limits are cost.
Allah's teachings
are disrespected
and violated.
So this type of hamiyyah
is trustworthy.
But if it is
for the opposite,
for the sake of the shaytan,
supporting your tribe, supporting your clan,
or your community or
because
this person, you are defending him, and you
are heated up, and you are angry
for his sake because he's from your country,
etcetera.
K, those who are motivated by nationalism
and things like that,
this is blameworthy,
hamia.
So okay. So the hamia can be pleasurable
and can be blameworthy.
That's why you will
read in the biographies of the scholars and
the salaf and say,
He has a chamiyyah. He has this spirit
to defend the deed. So that kind of
hamia is no doubt.
But here, the hamia of the people of
Jahiliyyah,
it was not for they don't get upset
and angry and heated up
for the sake of Allah.
No? Because
in all types of jahiliyah,
all types, because now
I hope that the concept of jahiliyah is
clear in the mind of each one of
you.
Jahiliya is a state of mind.
It is this status when you
run your life not in accordance with what
Allah wants.
That simple.
Your life is not run according to what
Allah want. Allah says this you are running
your life the opposite.
What controls your activities,
not the divine guidance,
your whims and desires, and that's the Jahiliya
because
this is pure ignorance.
It is pure ignorance
to leave
the instructions of the all knower,
the all wise, and you follow your own
thoughts and ideas
and fancies.
So this is an issue.
So there were so out of the history
of man,
nations,
they have this Jahiliya.
The moment they become disconnected
and distant
from
the
guidance, divine guidance,
they become ignorant,
and that is Jahiriyah.
And then
instead
of abiding
by the divine guidance,
they invent their own system
because they have to have
set of rules to follow.
So what do they place the divine guidance,
The norms of the society,
of the tribe.
Whatever
the chiefs of the tribe
decide, that is the rule they have to
abide by.
Whatever
the people who are the religious people, tell
them they follow that.
So that
becomes the rule they follow.
The
these rules, though, they have this religious notion,
but they are not exactly
what Allah
sent down.
So they start to worship
Abu Dan Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Instead of abiding by the perfect
guidance,
they follow
another type of guidance according to their understanding
according to their understanding.
So the tribe becomes now their deity.
Whatever the tribe decides,
they have to abide by that.
Whatever the chief of the tribe decides,
that's it.
His word is the final word.
So this is
This pride and
and this
zeal
and enthusiasm
to defend your people, whether they are right
or wrong,
that is the hamia of Jahiliya,
the pride of Jahiliya.
And still there, this hamiyah of Jahiliyyah
in the hearts of many,
When they are angry and upset, that hamiya
will pop up will come out.
So Allah says the Surat al Fatih
26.
Regarding
the
signing of the peace treaty of Hudavia.
As you know, my dear brothers and sisters,
you should know
the seer
of the prophet.
Seerah is very, very important to understand
because the seerah is the practical
implementation of
the deen,
the tact.
How the prophet
applied
this deen
in his life,
how he handled
the obstacles, the problems he came across.
The CEO helps you to understand that,
and it helps you to understand the Quran.
And you know then the context
of the ayat.
The ayat, the Quran, as you know, came
down in piecemeal,
not in one go.
Events happen, Quran
is sent down,
addressing,
answering
these issues,
providing
the solution.
So if you don't know the historical
context
behind the revelation of this ayat
and you are quoting them out of context,
you will not understand them at all.
For example, you see the kuffar today.
They're always called the ayat,
talking about wherever you find
the.
So you see, the Islam is saying, wherever
you find a non Muslim Quran.
It doesn't mean that.
Ayatah talking about the Arabs,
the pagans,
those who betrayed
the agreement and everything with the.
It's not talking about
all the non Muslims.
It's talking about the Arabs in Arabia
at that time. So you have to understand
the historical context.
But to read and
you hear the machinery and
the bible thunders are saying,
Quran
says, kill the non Muslims wherever
you find them.
Just scared people that they will not they
should not become Muslims,
And they ignore and overlook all the other
ayaat,
no convulsion of religion.
You have your own. I have mine. You
have your own way of life. I have
mine.
Whoever will choose
chooses and wishes to disbelieve,
to remain as a disbeliever,
that is his choice.
We don't force him and coerce him to
become a Muslim.
But after becoming a Muslim, you cannot believe
Islam. That's different.
But before you become a Muslim, no one
will force you. No one will compel you
to become a Muslim.
Islam Islam has given you and granted you
the freedom
to carry on practicing what you have.
And the Muslims, they ruled
for 100 of years.
The non Muslims remain.
Idol worshipers, pagans.
They ruled India.
Majority
remained non Muslim,
as you see.
They ruled Egypt.
The Coptics
remain the Christians as Christians.
No one foster.
No one foster.
If the Quran says
become a Muslim or will
chop off your head,
cut your throat,
it shouldn't have been remained.
You would never have find
you'll never have found any
Muslim in these countries that were ruled by
the Muslims.
But this fact
rebukes them.
So to quote out of context is a
problem
is a problem.
So Allah says so
the Muslims
so I'm giving you the background. The Muslim,
they wanted to perform Amra
to go to Mecca,
and they set out for Medina
for
Mecca.
Their intention over,
not to fight nothing.
Stopped
them.
Stop
them.
And they say,
as they say in English, my dead body
cannot enter Mecca.
Muslims are wearing their ahlam
with the hadi.
Hadi means the animals that you
bring along with you,
and you slaughter them
in Makkah
as sacrifices.
Quraysh
stopped in a place called Al Hudabia.
Part of it, Al Hudabia,
is adjacent to the borders of Mecca, and
part is outside the borders of Mecca.
So part of it in the Haram, part
of it outside the Haram.
And they send their own men, negotiators,
right, to negotiate with the Muslims to go
back.
They sent the 1st negotiator,
and the negotiations failed.
They sent another one, Shahid
Shahayl
ibn So
when the
he saw the second negotiator,
Shahayl ibn Muhammad, he told the Muslims,
the situation will be eased because his name
is Suhail,
easy. So he said the situation will be
eased.
And the negotiation
went on and finally agreed,
and a
peace agreement was
signed. That this year,
you go back.
But next year, you can come and perform.
And that is called Sohul Hudaybiyyah al Hudaybiyyah
peace treaty.
So Allah
talks about that.
Is when you read it,
which means remember,
behold,
recall.
Remember when the disbelievers,
had filled their hearts with pride,
the pride of pre Islamic ignorance.
How come that the Muslims will enter Mecca?
No way. We'll not allow them.
Though they see them that
they
are wearing a ham and
the canals
brought to be slaughtered,
which we call musharat.
What you what you do if you are
taking the counters to slaughter that,
you make few cuts
in
the hump of the camel
till the blood flows,
then the blood will cover the hide, the
skin.
So when the people, they see this, this
camel is for the house of Allah.
So there's all these things,
but yet
this chamaya,
this arrogance,
this ignorance,
pride of Jahiliyyah.
Remember when the disbelievers
had filled their hearts
with the pride with pride,
the pride of pre Islamic ignorance, the jahiliyyah.
Because you see now,
the Muslims, they didn't come to fight.
But they are human beings, the Sahaba.
Human beings.
And they were longing,
yearning. Their hearts are yearning
to see the house of Allah.
For years, they are deprived of seeing the
house of Allah.
And now they are at the border,
and they are stopped.
That's why I said, Nur Omar was boiling.
How
come they stop us?
Allah
send down the shakinah,
the calmness, the serenity.
So the Muslims were serene,
calm,
Though,
when you read
the clauses
of the agreement,
they are
in advantage
serving
the, apparently.
One of the clauses,
if a non Muslim if one of the
Quraysh
run from Quraysh
became a Muslim and he joined the Muslims
in Medina, Muslim, they have to send him
back.
He became a Muslim in Mecca,
and he ran away.
Joined the Muslims in Medina, Muslims, they have
to bring him back,
and the prophet
accepted that.
Also,
if a Muslim
joined the Mushinix,
Left Islam. Join the Musharaks in Mecca,
or I should not return her.
See
here. There's
a tough test for the Sahara.
Tough test.
Our brother
becomes a Muslim.
He comes to us. They have to return
him.
But this is
He's guided by Allah.
So we have
to hear and obey,
and we should not follow our own
interpretations
because we don't know the wisdom behind that.
And when they,
as they
say, dotting the i's and crossing the t's,
Abu Yan Dal Kay,
one of the Muslims in Mecca,
he became a Muslim,
and he's handcuffed and in the shackles, and
he is jumping jumping, and he came to
the matron.
The guest
finished the contract and signed it.
Immediately,
said, this is the first one you have
to return
to us.
The prophet told him, go back.
And can you see now? Can you imagine
the scene?
Muslims are in this situation,
start from entering Mecca. Now their brother came
to them Muslim,
and the prophet
telling him, go back.
I will not breach the agreement.
And the
was just shouting,
screaming.
You are exposing me to again.
They will do the
people are emotional.
The prophet told him, Allah will
take care of you.
He came to the and said,
aren't we on the? He said, yes. And
they are on the bottle? Yes.
So why we compromise? Why we
give them what they want? He said, I
am Rasulullah,
the prophet.
I am Rasulullah.
I'm a large messenger,
and he will not
leave me, and he will not
desert me.
He went to Sayid Nabu Bakr.
Sayid Nabu Bakr told him exactly what the
prophet
said.
He's
Rasool
Allah or Umar.
Abide and stick to whatever he says.
And the Muslims
went back
to Medina,
And the last hand down
in
the Indeed, we have
granted you
great victory
times.
What does this Fatima mean? Some they think
it is the conquest of.
It is the signing of this peace treaty.
So Nama said, who? He said, yes.
Because after signing this peace treaty, see the
wisdom behind it.
People now
have this peace
agreement. So they talk easily. No torture,
no
persecution.
You talk about Islam, and many, many people
became Muslims
during this period
during this
period.
So Allah is saying,
remember when the disbelievers
had filled their hearts with the pride
the pride of pre Islamic ignorance,
then Allah sent down his serenity
upon his messenger,
the believers,
aspiring them to uphold the declaration
of faith,
for they were better entitled
and more worthy of it.
And Allah has perfect knowledge of all things.
Send the sekinah,
the serenity,
upon the heart of his prophet
and the hearts of the believers.
So Allah
he made them to abide
and he inspired them
to uphold
the Kalimat al Taqwa,
which is
the shahada,
the declaration of faith.
They were suitable for that,
for the taqwa,
for this honor.
They were better entitled
and more worthy of it,
and then Allah
ended the eye.
Allah
knows those who stopped you.
They will become Muslims.
On that day,
said Nachali didn't really eat.
Muslim.
And he came with the group of the
youth
trying to provoke the Muslims.
He wanted
to fight.
But that scene affected him when he saw
Muslims are only wearing a haram,
and they did not react.
That scene
moved him.
He was thinking about it, and finally, he
decided to become
So we should keep our mind's sight.
When Allah says something,
even if we cannot comprehend it
because our minds are limited,
As they say, you cannot contain the ocean
in the bottle.
This bottle cannot contain the ocean,
so we don't know the divine wisdom of
Allah.
So this peace agreement
apparently
serving the Muslims.
Everything they want
was given to them. They wanted was given
to them.
And the papsite settlement that day, he said,
anything today, they ask me,
which will lead
to this
sanctity
and the
showing
sacredness
and veneration and respect of the house of
Allah,
I will give it to them.
Anything
will lead to give more sanity,
respect,
make the house of Allah more
holy,
I will
grant it and give it to them.
Imam Al Nairkayim
he mentioned in his book, Zadil Ma'at. It's
there in English, and I recommend you brothers
and sister to read Zadil
Because this is statement of the prophet
He said regarding the kuffar, anything they ask
me today,
which is not involving anything haram and this
thing which they ask,
it only adds
to the sanctity
of the
holy places and the holy shrine.
I will give it to them.
So he comment commented,
Imam Abu Nkaim saying, and he said, and
this is an explicit
evidence
that Muslims
can cooperate
with the non Muslims
for the common good.
If there is something
good serving both of them
and
the Sharia
approves of it,
then it is permissible.
It is permissible
to cooperate with the non Muslims
regarding
Amrud al Marouf,
what is good, what is beneficial
for the
community,
for the people.
See?
Allah knows. You don't know.
So when Allah decides something because that peace
the signing of the peace agreement,
Allah sanctioned it.
Allah
sanctioned it, approved of it. How? Through his
prophet.
Because Allah knew
the
outcome
and what will happen
and the good that will come out of
it. We
Sahaba didn't know that.
So that's why the prophet
said, I am Rasulullah,
and he is seeing me, and he is
guiding
me, and I will not disobey him.
So
when you come across a hukum,
ruling,
you don't understand, you cannot digest,
blame yourself
that you are limited.
You have
deficiency.
You are incapable
to understand it.
There's nothing wrong. What Allah said is correct.
The problem in you.
And Allah
encompasses
everything in his knowledge.
And Allah has perfect.
Nothing escapes.
My lord encompasses
everything in his mouth.
He knows
nothing.
There is nothing called past, present, future.
That's why if you read in the Quran,
Allah is using
past tense for things will happen in the
future.
Past tense for things will happen in the
future.
How come?
Past tense for us, fatherullah, there's nothing called
past tense, present tense, future tense, nothing like
that.
Allah's command, Allah's decree already passed.
Finish.
So do not
be hasten
for its arrival. It's already issue issued.
A few days ago,
I'm ignorant. I'm learning every day.
1 of the said,
the arrow
of your death already shot.
The arrow of your death,
the arrow that will kill you already shot,
and it is flowing in the air.
It's
flowing,
and it will arrive,
and you will die. So it's already issued.
It's already there flowing this arrow.
And it is flowing
this way, and you are moving
to meet it.
To meet it.
You are running towards it.
Every day you are running towards this arrow.
Every day you are getting closer to it.
Every day you are getting closer to your
grave. Every day.
To
receive this
Nothing is hidden.
Allah sees everything.
Allah sees how the enemies are plotting and
planning and conspiring
and all that. Allah sees that,
And he knows
what is going behind the doors
because
that
neither sleep nor slumber overtakes him.
We sleep.
Allah doesn't sleep.
So he protects us.
He knows
what our enemies are doing,
and he tells us,
don't worry about that.
I take care of
that. See,
with this ayaat,
out there in your heart,
you sleep peacefully.
Allah defend
the believers.
He defends them.
But who? The believers.
So we have to be believers. That's it.
We have to have to become true mumin,
then Allah defends us.
Do
not feel
weak. Neither become weak nor
become sad.
Grieve not.
Are alone, and you are going to have
the upper hand.
You'll be victorious.
When?
The condition.
If you are true believers.
This is the condition.
Honor, might,
glory,
majesty.
They will have the upper hand. They will
be victorious.
But when?
That's what Allah wants from us.
Allah wants 2 things.
2 things Allah wants from us as Muslims.
From the Muslims,
two things. Saba,
patience, and taqwa,
righteousness,
piety,
fear of Allah.
So if you have to these two qualities,
saba and taqwa,
Allah said, they will harm you, not the
least.
They cannot harm
you. The
Allah
is the one who's going to
take care of you
and ward off the evil.
They're
talking. They're conspiring. They're planning
will not harm you the least.
Will not harm you.
Allah knows.
So in the last and this telling
was.
I know everything. You don't know everything.
And I know what this
will lead to.
The Aleman they mentioned
in this when they were signing, the
writer, the one who was writing,
said,
This was the prophet Muhammad
has agreed with
Quraysh and Suhail ibn Ahmad. So
Muhammad immediately objected.
He said to remove.
Scratch it. Scratch it.
Scratch, Muhammad.
He said, no. We don't know this.
See,
Okay. The prophet told him,
Erase it.
Muhammad Rasulullah,
remove Rasulullah.
Say to Muhammad's thing. Remove it.
Had we accepted him as a Rasulullah, we
would not have forgotten.
Say it's Mohammed.
Told the writer, he said, no. The writer,
it's
it is painful for me to
to to erase it.
So the prophet
appreciated that. He felt what he was going
through. Said, okay. Show me. Where is it?
Show me the puppet is illiterate.
Illicit.
And he arranged it.
So this is the Hamid of Yahiliyyah
that's the hail of an animal was going
through.
Everything is heated up
for price to defend price.
So that is
Hamid al Jahimiyya.
In the sunnah,
the prophet
mentioned the Jahiliya,
so the meaning of Jahiliya and the hadith.
Abu Malekar Asha
reported that Allah
said.
Among my people, there are 4 characteristics
belonging to the pre Islamic period.
3
4 qualities
we inherited
from the days of Abu Jahl and Abu
Lahab.
We inherited from those days.
And still
these
four qualities are still alive.
We have these within us, these four qualities
in the ummah of Muhammad
which they do not abandon.
These qualities
remain on them.
What are these for ignoble, not noble qualities,
ignoble qualities?
Number 1,
boasting of high rank.
We are the descendants
of this man.
Our forefathers,
they were this and this and that.
Boasting of high rank.
So they praise themselves.
We are from this family. We are from
this family
or from this caste,
boasting of high rank,
novelty of their family.
So they praise themselves.
At the same time, they
belittle others.
Reviling
other people's immunities.
Who are you?
Oh, you are not like us. You're not
like us.
This is today. This moment I'm talking there
among the Muslims.
We are from this family
now. No. No. No. No. They are
from a lot family.
So we cannot marry. We cannot exchange marriages.
Cannot marry from them. No. No.
So boasting of high rank, reviling other people's
genealogies,
This is the second
ignoble qualities.
Seeking reign by the stars
and wailing
and wailing.
Kai,
weaving when someone
passed away.
And then he said to Asalem, if the
wailing woman,
the bewailing woman, the one who laments,
the one who slaps her cheeks,
if the wailing woman
does not repent before she dies,
she will be made to stand in the
day of
wearing a garment
of tar.
You know, the tar.
And the cloak and the garment
of
Jarab,
mange,
mange
skin disease.
This is a Suheir Muslim. Now let us
reflect here. So the is
is telling us a fact
that these four
qualities of Jahiliyyah, people of Jahiliyyah used to
have, will remain
among the Muslims.
Does he sanction this? No.
He doesn't sanction these things.
But this is Iqbal.
I have to go back and remind you
because it seems that what you learn
overrides
what you took before.
No space in the memory. It overrides it.
It looks like this.
If you are not taking notes
and if you are not revising,
you'll be just
overwriting
what you learned.
This issue we addressed before.
That the
speech,
al kalam,
2 types.
Ikhbar
and insha.
Do you recall something like this?
Ichbar and Insha,
but this is the first time you hear
it.
Speech to parts.
Ichbar
and Insha.
Informing,
to inform.
And Insha,
Informing me.
To inform.
The command to do.
It's called the commands.
Dos and don'ts.
The dos and the don'ts
fall under the because
you are supposed to
establish this what is
what is told to you. You are supposed
to implement and execute,
to do it, to establish it.
So the do's and the don'ts,
they fall under the inshaah.
The informing
and telling you something
falls under Iqbar.
So the
apeidah
apeidah
falls under Iqbal.
The belief
falls under Iqbal,
informing.
So the angels, they inform the prophets and
messenger, they inform us. There are angels. There
is heaven. There is hellfire.
There is this and that and that and
that and that. So all this article of
face and issues,
they fall under the Ikhba.
Ikhba.
Conforming.
So the aqeeda
falls under the Ikhba.
Sharia
Sharia is what? The law.
The dos and the don'ts.
The sharia. So the sharia, the dos and
the don'ts,
they fall under the
insha.
Haram,
halal.
Do, don't do.
So the do's and the don'ts, that's the
sharia. So the sharia falls under the Insha.
So the
is the same.
All the things all prophets
confirmed,
the same.
So the
is the same, and that's why all prophets
are missing. There's their deen is 1. Their
is 1, and that's al Shlal,
which is
logic.
Because the if Baal cannot be obligated
cancel, cannot be obligated,
a prophet comes and say, there are angels.
Another prophet comes, no, comes and say, no
angels. No. So no obligation
pertaining and apply to
the Iqbal.
The obligation
comes to the Sharia,
to the law, to the do's and the
don'ts, and that makes sense.
Why?
Because what is the Sharia? What is the
law?
The law do's and don'ts
addressing
the rulings that address
the issues of the people at a particular
moment of time and in particular place.
And the people needs and problems are not
fixed. They are not constant.
Every day, new things are popping up and
coming up
new problems.
So that's why the Sharia
has to
be
updated
to address these issues.
This what is called upgrade or
updation
is called NASDAQ
application
application.
The community
at this time at the time of this
project,
their problems are simple.
So the law is addressing their issues.
Then
the
community developed,
Problems
are more more complex
than before.
So the law now has to come
addressing that. So that's why
another messenger will come with a new law
addressing these issues.
And this
a new law
will con will have the good
things mentioned in the previous law.
The good things in the previous law will
not be
removed, will be incorporated in the new law,
but it will have more. As one of
the masha'ik said, you know, the versions of
Windows, the Windows, those who have computer and
the Windows software.
This window,
window 95, then window 2,000 and window, okay,
XP, etcetera.
You'll find that
the features
that are there are incorporated
in the next version
and then in the version and more and
more features.
Until
the
law was finally
the
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said the last
version,
which is al Islam, Sharia al Islam, the
Islamic law,
which this
last
Sharia,
it has
mechanisms
built within it
that will
that makes it
adaptable,
flexible
to provide
solutions for all the problems
that are,
coming up.
Allah made the Islamic law
so perfect
that no problem
will
emerge, and you'll not find a solution valid
in Islam.
You'll never find.
And this shows
that
the law of Allah, the Sharia,
is applicable for all times and all places.
Because this is the last guidance from mankind,
so Allah made it
so perfect
to
answer and address all the issues and problems
of mankind.
So keep this in mind.
So we have
Ichbar and we have in insha.
Obligation
cannot be applied to the Ichbar, but can
be applied to the insha, the do's and
the don'ts, and the law, the Sharia,
falls under
this category.
Now this hadith,
the prophet
is saying,
informing
us that these four qualities,
four qualities people will have.
Well, from the characteristics
and colleges of Jahiliya,
boasting of high rank of
noble families,
reviling others,
belittling them,
talking bad about them,
seeking rain by the stars,
attribute attributing
the the fall of the rain due to
this star, that star,
and wailing
women
before the slam.
They
cry,
and they land they slap their sheets and
pull their hair.
And there are women who are wearers,
and they recruit them
to come to cry
for them
when someone,
dies.
Now is this
The answer in.
The prophet is just
telling us that these things will be there.
He's not sanctioning these things. He's not approving
of these things.
He's just informing us.
Like he said,
the time will come. There will be women
naked.
Muslim women naked.
Their hairstyle like the
the come
the humps of the,
the tilted humps of camels.
Is does he approve of this sanction? No.
He's informing us about what is going to
happen. Like when he said,
a woman will travel from
in Iraq
to San'a
or from
Hazaromot to San'a,
feeding no one but Allah,
does he sanction that? No. He informs what
is going to happen. So keep in mind,
there's a big difference between
the
insha
and the Ikhbar.
The informing Ikhbar and the Ishar,
the do's and don'ts.
And sometimes
the command is in the form of Iqbal,
but it means insha'a.
For example,
Allah says
regarding the house of Allah,
whoever enters it,
So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
talks about the house of Allah,
the Kaaba.
Whoever enters it,
the house of Allah,
he will be
safe.
He'll be safe.
You enter the house of Allah, you'll be
safe.
Now is this
Ikhbar or Insha?
Whoever enters the house of Allah, the Kaaba,
he will be safe.
That means
he's protected.
Nothing is going to happen to him.
So is it Iqbal? If it is Iqbal,
then anyone enters the house of Allah will
be protected, and no one can harm him
at all.
But we know
Muslims were killed inside the Kaaba. Killed.
The Kalamita
deviant sect
attacked the Muslim during the Hajj in Mecca
and killed the pilgrims
and throw their bodies into the well of
Zamzar.
And they stole the black stone and took
it to Al Qathif
in the eastern province
of Saudi Arabia today.
And the Kaaba was left without the black
stone for years.
And then when they those who took the
the the blackest charge started
having
problems. People are dying. They told them because
of the you just told the black stone,
send it back,
and they returned it.
So then the ayah,
when Allah is saying whoever enters
it will be safe,
it's not Iqbar.
It's not Iqbar.
If it was Iqbar,
nothing should have happened.
Muslims should not have been killed.
The same thing.
Recently, just few years ago,
Yoheman and his group, besides the Haram,
Many Muslims were killed.
So it's not Ichbar. It is in Shah.
The it is in the form
of Ichbaar. The form is Ichbaar, but in
the meaning,
which means
all you
who are in charge of the house,
the custodian of this place,
those whom Allah
made you responsible
and put you in this place in charge
of this house,
guarantee
and provide the safety and ensure the safety
of those who enter the house of Allah.
So it is in sha
a command
that it is the the responsibility
of those who are in charge to provide
and guarantee the safety of the pilgrims.
So you have to keep in mind and
understand
the difference between Ikhbaab
and
Inshaab.
So here, the prophet, he's just informing us.
He's not sanctioning this.
He's not sanctioning it. He's informing us
that this is what is going to happen,
and these qualities will remain
in the people. And those who have such
qualities, they are sinful. They are doing haram.
And that's why he said here,
the regarding
the or the or the woman who who
wails
the wailing woman,
if she doesn't repent before she dies,
she'll be made to stand in the dead
resurrection
wearing this garment of tar
and this cloak of
skin disease, mange.
He's scratching
her skin.
This is the disease that
affects camels
and animals, and that's why
they
treat it
with chemicals.
So these are qualities of Yahiliya, my dear
brothers and sisters.
May Allah
save us from having such qualities,
and everyone should
strive
and work hard to get rid of these
qualities
because
the
just informed us.
And by informing us, this doesn't mean that
you should not try
to save yourself
and get rid of such ignoble
qualities,
These qualities of
just like the Allah
the prophet
mentioned
that his will be divided,
but this doesn't mean that you should not
work hard for unity
because Allah
says,
So the hadith that talks about the division
is just informing,
not insha, not approving the division.
That's why the prophet said, al jamahaturrahma
wal furqatu'adhar.
Jamahat the desertness, unity is a mercy, rahma.
Division,
salvation,
disunity
is a punishment from Allah. May Allah unite
our hearts in the Haqq. May Allah unite
our.
May Allah keep us to remain steadfast on
this beautiful deen till we meet him and
find him pleased with all of us. I
mean, may Allah
grant us
beneficial knowledge and righteous deeds, and may Allah
forgive us
our false mistakes and ignorance, and may Allah
unite our and unite our hearts. May Allah
reward all of you, my dear brothers and
sisters, for your patience
and
attendance. Brothers and sisters,
we will now start the question and answers
time.
Please send in your questions fast if you
have not done so already.
We have received some messages. We'll take them.
And, of course, you are free to
ask questions verbally as always.
Please raise your hand, and we will take
them.
Okay. The first question.
For your lesson.
Patience with us, may Allah reward you in
this dunya and the akhirah.
Okay. Can you please mention the benefits of
taskeah,
the purification of the heart,
and books you recommend for this topic.
I really appreciate if you can give us
some lessons of Taskea in the future.
May Allah
extend the life span,
and may Allah
grant us the
I mean,
The
whole deen
the whole purpose of the deen is the
As Allah
said. Allah sent to the the
illiterate
of a soul, a messenger from among them.
He recites to them
the Quran.
So this is what he did. He teaches
them. The Quran recited to them.
He
purifies them
by this Quran,
by this.
And he teach them
the book and the hikmah, the wisdom, and
the. Hikmah is one of the.
So the the purpose of the whole deed
is this heart, the purification of the heart.
Because when the heart becomes pure,
then this heart will only cling and
communicate and
be attached to Allah
and worship only Allah
and loves Allah. And then all the limbs,
they will follow this heart
and obey Allah
because there is
an organ in the body in the size
of one's fist. If it is whole, then
the entire body is whole. If it is
corrupt, the whole thing is corrupt.
K. And
indeed, he's successful. He succeeded.
Who?
Who purifies
this soul? The one who purifies this this
soul succeeded.
How about the one who corrupts it?
How about the one who pushed
it into sinfulness,
ignored it, neglected it?
And Efraim al Zakah.
The one who beautifies this soul, succeeded.
Failed
miserably.
And the Sahar who neglected it, who pushed
it
into the haram, into this dirt, the mire
of sin.
So the tuskia
is very, very important in the life of
Muslims.
And, unfortunately,
nowadays,
this issue of tuskia is neglected,
ignored.
The
the first thing to them
when they are teaching the students.
Verify
this
this
heart
because Allah is
he wants this heart.
Only those who meet Allah
with
a healthy heart,
pure heart,
heart that is free from all these ills.
No envy, no jealousy, no pride, no arrogance,
nothing.
It is filled with love
of Allah. So we tell his prophet, love
with the Muslims.
It is
full and filled
with
noble qualities,
humbleness,
humility,
patience,
bear forbearance,
tolerance.
And the best the best the best book
for tafskeah is the Quran.
We need to read it, understand it.
The prophets purified the hearts of the Sahaba
by the Quran.
Quran.
They learned the Quran and the sunnah, and
they
made it easier for us and put it
in books
and in chapters
and divide it into units
so that
we can comprehend and understand
how to
progress and how to develop
and build our spirituality
and purr purify ourselves.
And
my beloved,
this
is. I recommend
the brothers and sisters to read the words
of Imam Ibn Abi al Yawziyya.
Read his books, and many of his books
already translated
in English.
And, also,
the works of.
And there are other scholars,
and there are many books.
But my favorite
is.
Read his works.
Read his books
because he dives inside
you, and he tells you, you are this.
May Allah
purify our hearts on your hearts. May Allah
give us the test here,
amen.
I hope this has cleared the question.
Amin, It is clear, Sheikh.
The question I would like, they can follow-up
with another question.
We take the next question now.
We know that a woman who denies her
husband intimacy,
she's cursed by the angels until when she
accepts.
Is this ruling also
applied
to the husband who denies
intimacy
to her?
What the hadith
says
when a man calls his wife
and she refuses.
Because you see here,
you think about it and see the wisdom
behind it.
Man is very weak.
Man is very weak.
Keep this in mind, my dear brothers and
sisters.
My sisters, keep this in mind.
He's weak.
So when he
his desire
is building up
the sexual drive.
If it is not
satisfied,
He's so vulnerable. He can fall into haram.
Fall into haram.
That's why the prophet said, if you see
a woman on the street,
you just left home.
And now
this woman in front of you,
She's almost
naked,
and
you're triggered.
Now you are not thinking. You are not
alright.
K?
Things are happening inside you.
The prophet
said, go back.
Go back to your wife.
Go back to your wife.
You just left.
Go back.
This is the cure. This is the remedy.
Go back to your wife. What that woman
got, your wife has it.
That's why
a woman should
when the husband when the man
comes to say, please come,
don't say no.
Because at that moment, he's weak. He is
in need.
He's in need.
Don't you know that
Aisha said,
the prophet
he would be fondling with us
during our periods,
for playing with us during our periods,
and he would tell each one of us
to tie and cover the lower part, and
he would be fondling with the upper part,
he's teaching us.
Yes. You are
in your menses.
He cannot make love, but they as they
say, there are many ways
to skin a cat.
There are many ways to make him relief
to religion.
And then all these ideas are gone. Finished.
And that picture of that woman that he
saw in the street is not there anymore.
So when he comes,
that's what the prophet said,
your husband calls you,
answered.
Amsterdam.
Even if you are making bread in the
kitchen,
putting food in the oven,
You are baking.
Is the kiln
on the stage
where women
take the loaf and put it
on the wall inside this oven.
She's busy.
She has to keep watching the loaf.
Otherwise, it will be burnt.
The prophet is telling god, leave it and
go to your husband.
Because at this moment, he is weak, vulnerable.
Have you refused
and
say, I cannot,
he will and he's and and he he
will leave angrily.
I might fall and commit.
Or he might divorce you.
Because at that moment,
it is
this is dominating
him.
This urge, sexual urge, is controlling him.
So you have to see the wisdom.
Allah who created men, they he knows
what they go
through. Women, they have the patience.
They're not like the man.
You know? They can wait.
Have
Sabbath.
That's why
when
one night, he passed by one of the
houses
in Medina.
That was his sunnah. At night, he would
take a tour and walk
to see maybe someone is in need,
so can help.
So he heard a woman
singing,
complaining,
saying
The main thing you say,
oh, what a long night.
He's
bored.
What a long night,
and what a dark night.
There's no lover with me
that I play with.
Had it not
had it not because of the fear of
Allah,
this bed would have been shaken.
But it is the fear of Allah that
stopped me. Otherwise,
I would
sleep with another man, and the bed will
be shaken.
And see, no one heard that.
He got so
afraid.
So he went to his daughter,
Hafsa,
said, Hafsa,
help your father. Help him.
Tell me the truth.
How long can a woman tolerate
and wait
without her husband?
With her. She felt shy.
She
said, help me.
I am in charge of the Muslims. I
am
in need for your help.
I need this piece of information
because I'm going to decide something.
He told him, 4 months.
He can
color it up to 4 months.
So he issued a decree immediately to all
the in
all the provinces.
No should
stay away from his family for more 4
months.
So women, they can't tolerate.
That's why
the they
discuss in the in in the books of.
What is the minimum
days that a man should sleep with his
wife.
He should not
go more than this.
He should not leave his wife
more than 1 month
if he's with her.
He has to at least at least
to satisfy her bio biological
needs
once a month.
How did they arrive at that?
They based this on the ayah.
When Allah
says this,
They ask you regarding
women when they have their message,
say,
who are that? There's something it's a place
of harm.
Making love to women is so harmful
during their menses.
Do not approach your woman when they have
their mitzvah cycles.
But then Allah says, they
are clean.
But when they become clean,
back to him. Approach your woman.
So when they get clean, then you can't
sleep with them.
Approach them in the place that Allah
commanded you, which is the normal place,
the place of the
tillage
where you have children,
not the *,
because * * is prohibited.
And the one who does that is cursed
by Allah.
There's some hadith, he's
So here, Allah said,
so they become clean.
So a woman gets her period once a
month.
So now she's clean.
How if the then
you approach your woman.
If I sleep with her, with one sleeps
with his wife,
Once he fulfilled what the highest says. He
fulfilled
by once.
So that is the minimum,
and there is no limit for the maximum.
No limit.
K?
Some men,
Allah
has given them the
the vigor, this tense.
So it it varies from one man to
another.
A man came to say,
my wife, whatever I want, she said, you
are killing me, he told her.
He told him, kill her,
and I will give the blood money.
I will pay the dea.
That will not kill a woman.
Because women, they have this
always lame excuses. I have a headache. I
have these things.
So now
coming to the question. If a woman ask
her husband
and she's in need,
that is her right.
That's her right
to fulfill her biological
needs.
That's why
the, they
mentioned
you see, our dean is so
clear.
Nothing to hide.
Everything is addressed.
A man comes to the and says,
I sleep with my wife and I fail
to *. What should I do?
The prophet told him,
This was in the early days.
This ruling is obligated.
In the early days,
if one fails
to *,
penetration happened, but no *,
he has to take. But this rule is
canceled, obligated Mansoorh,
where the other hadith,
When the 2 private parts talk to each
other,
they have to take a shower whether he
* it or not. And then the prophet
said,
and it happens with me. He answered, this
happens to me sometimes.
So this is our Islam.
Nothing. Everything is addressed.
So the fuqaha there mentioned, if a man
has this issue of premature
*,
they said he is not allowed to leave
his wife.
He has to remain in that position until
she is satisfied.
So that is her height
to fulfill her biological
needs.
Now if he refuses,
will the angels will be cursing him? The
hadith is not saying that. Hadith is talking
about
the women because as I explained, man is
very weak.
But men, they are
responsible,
and they have to fulfill the biological needs
of their wives. That is their rights.
Their rights upon them.
Is this clear to the question?
Is
clear, Sheikh. We go to the next question.
Sorry. I have a question regarding inheritance.
Send it.
This is shall I ask this question? It's
not, about
percentages or figures. It's more about cutting ties.
About cutting ties?
Yeah.
Wait.
Our inheritance hasn't been divided since my father
passed away
Yeah. How long would you live in that?
Just a little was shared. The elders
half siblings have taken over and are controlling
the properties, wanting to deny others for their
rights.
Would I be sinning if I cut them
off my life?
I don't love them nor do I hate
them,
but hate their actions. Please advise.
No. Don't cut
the ties.
They are shameful, no doubt,
but don't cut the ties
because
the
prophet said,
The one who
the ties will never enter the or smell
the fragments
of it. So be nice to them. Ask
Allah to guide them, but don't cut the
ties.
Don't cut the ties.
And this is the problem when people, they
do not follow the Sharia.
Problems like this happen.
The money or the
terrica,
the be the bequest
has to be divided
immediately after the death of the deceased.
Person passed away immediately.
Should not delay that,
but then it will become
more complex.
And
this is the Jahiliyyah again
in some Muslim countries even today.
The girls, they do not inherit.
They defies the girls of their right, which
Allah has given them.
Because they say,
if we give them their the the the
wealth, their rights,
They will marry other men, and then they
will die other men. So this land will
will,
will be inherited by another man who's not
from us. This is how they think. They
are not following what Allah said.
They think they
they are wiser than Allah,
and then they say, we are Muslims.
So don't cut the ties.
May Allah
guide them. I mean, next question, please.
The next question, Sheikh.
Is there any authentic hadith based on if
the woman becomes pure
after her monthly period at the time of
Asr
should pray also
the prayer of
and if at the time of also the
prayer of Maghrib?
Could you please clarify the rule with mentioning
hadith?
No. There's no Hadith.
There's no Hadith, but this is, just the
saying of the.
They are considering
that,
a woman can't combine, you know, and.
Okay.
So she became
clean
at the end of because
normally, she can combine
can be combined.
So he and she has to make up
the the prayer of the as well. The
same thing, Maghrib and Reisha.
But it's not based on
it's just an understanding
an understanding
of
the scholars, the the.
So
if a woman
gets
clean
at the end of and
the time is short,
she has to rush and take a shower
and pray. That's it.
The prayer that she missed when she was
not clean,
she will not be asked for that, and
she will not be,
held responsible
because Allah
forgave the women, all the prayers of all
the days.
So the Duhr
prayer,
when it was due,
she was not
clean.
But if she was clean, that's different.
But then she was not clean. She got
became clean only towards the end of us.
So at that time,
she's not obligated to pray the.
K? She's not obligated to pray the.
The same thing, she got clean now.
Time, she was not clean.
So she will not be concerned about the
prayer
to make up the prayer of the.
K? I hope this is clear to the
questioner.
And that was our final question for tonight.
If you'd like to conclude.
May Allah
bless you. Bless your family. Protect you. Protect
your family. May Allah elevate
your status in this world and in
May
Allah forgive us all for some mistakes and
ignorance. May Allah
bless us the beneficial knowledge
and the righteous deeds.
Until we meet
in the coming session, I leave you in
Allah's company
and protection.
