sisters in Islam, those joining us from Twitter, from Facebook, also from YouTube and also clubhouse I greet you with the greetings of Islam and peace Salam O Allah hi aleikum wa rahmatullah wa barakato. May the peace and blessings of Allah subhanho wa Taala be upon you all and welcome to episode number 27 of our fifth of sera series blast from the past Sierra in the 21st century. And this is episode. This is season four, season four as we said it's episode number 2027. Brothers and sisters today in Islam Today we are going to
take on a new segment from the Sierra. And that is the expedition of Al Hussein, the expedition of honey.
And this expedition obviously happened after
the opening of maca, and it had to do with the tribes
of five and the tribes
around tarrif, right. And as we remember this or discuss this, we must remember events that happened many, many years before. When the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was still in Mecca, and he went to five and the people they stoned him. And remember he went at a very difficult time. He went after he lost her deja de la vida and Abu Talib, his biggest supporters and the Quraysh were just not, you know, allowing the Muslims any favors. It was after they were sanctioned as well. And then he goes here and what did they do? They stoned him. They got their children to stone him sallallahu alayhi wa sallam so we can't forget these events. And now Subhan Allah, how Allah subhanho wa Taala
turns the situation around now. Let me say at the beginning as well, this was not a revenge mission brothers and sisters in Islam. This was not a revenge mission. And you will see this had nothing to do with what happened earlier. But I highlight what happened earlier for us to see how Subhana Allah amazing. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was and how a perfect example he sallallahu alayhi wasallam is for us. Now. The expedition of fullName took place during the Athi after his era after the opening of Mecca, and some scholars dated
to be around the fifth or sixth of chawan.
This is when they left Makkah and pif and this region is not too far from Makkah. So around the 10th of Shawwal. They reached her name. In fact, if you travel from Mecca, towards nudged
or if you're coming from Jeddah for example, towards an edge, you pass through Mecca, and then you pass through pif in some capacity or this particular region.
It's a mountainous region as well. It's not too far from MK I think by car today, obviously, five is much bigger and MCI is much bigger today. But even today, if you travel by car, you're looking at about 45 minutes from five to MCC. So it was about a four to five day journey. And they reached a hooning around the 10th of show well. Now, this whole expedition is seen as an extension of the mission Mecca if we can call it that, especially since now Islam was spreading and people were entering in droves. As we discussed. Yesterday, people respected the Quraysh they held them, you know, with high honor. And if they started accepting Islam, then you know what, perhaps we should
accept Islam and we spoke about Surah Fatiha yesterday. It's definitely a sort of that comes to mind. When you think of the people entering Islam Subhan Allah after they were so resist
And however, the case and the horizon,
they still remained resistant. And these were the tribes of the region of life. And this was one, this was just one reason why they needed to be faced. But also they needed to be faced and this was the main reason, you've got to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that they were planning and plotting against Islam, especially after what happened with Mk. And these were strong tribes, brothers and sisters in Islam, when you when you hear that the planning and plotting this is not like, you know, just some
small mission, these are respected groups, these are respected tribes, the tribes that are known for the
you know, they they military progress at the numbers, the ability to stand their ground, and so on and so forth. And they plotting against the Muslims. So they wanted to attack the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam first and forgive me for, you know, keeping in line with these events that it was them it was them it was them because I really want to cement in our minds from the outset that this was not a revenge mission for what the people of Taiwan did to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam so many years ago, let's not forget, Allah told the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that he had the angels of the mountains at his peril, if he commanded that bring the mountains
together and squash, these isolators in between, but the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam may do that they be guided, the progeny be guided, they don't know perhaps there'll be a better chance with their children Subhana Allah and we highlighted then, when we spoke about I think it was season a season two of blast from the past we spoke about this that you know, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was on mission Islam, not mission, Mohammed and we repeated this in season three and season four. So Pamela such consistency in terms of character from the Prophet sallallaahu, it was, um, it didn't matter what they did to me, it matters what I want to achieve my vision, the world
that I want to see the day I die. This is a this is a leader brothers and sisters in Islam. This is a visionary. You live for the moment you live with the big picture, the bigger picture, you live in the moment unless that moment is assisting you in creating the bigger picture. And the people who do this a few. Right? Male lawmakers from the view. I mean, now, they were plotting and planning against the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And they wanted to attack the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam first, because let's make an excuse for them. They felt vulnerable, especially after what happened in Makkah. So, as we said, this was not a revenge mission. This was a defense mission.
And also, you could say a proactive mission, in the sense that
in the sense that remember, after the Battle of the Confederates, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam said that Islam was not we will not defend from now our meaning that you know, the time of us being attacked, and as defending has finished, right now it will be an offensive, proactive effort. So all this together, cause the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to take a stance now What did the these people do? They formed an alliance with Ben Hillel. And when they did, so, their number became double the number of the Muslims. Now obviously, the next question that you will ask is, how many were the Muslims? Well, the Muslims brothers and sisters in Islam, we know we have
10,000 who came from Medina to Mecca. And after Makkah, we had the droves entering Islam. So there was another 2000, it's estimated 2000 more
were present with the Muslim army. So 12,000 marched to
this expedition, and the meeting place was honing. Now,
you got 12,000. But on the other side, if it's doubled, you got 24,000. Now obviously, the Muslims over time they've come to realize that Subhana Allah, you know, what?
We've been small and we've won, irrespective of being small. So it doesn't matter that we have the number, but unfortunately, what some of the Muslims being a number of 12,000 got to them. And Allah subhanho wa Taala addressed this in the Quran. I will discuss that when the time comes. Now in terms of the enemy, they strategized. Well, they did strategize well. What did they do? They appointed the best to be the lead medicament of
and he did several things, to prepare the men for what was to come. Firstly, he gave speeches, right? They talk about, you know, Hitler and Hitler speeches and all these men that give the speeches to the people and, you know, to try and align them and so on and so forth. Maliki been off. It's recorded, that he was known for the speeches that he gave to his men to boost his men. Right. And some of his speeches, belittled the previous expeditions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. To the extent that he said that these Muslims, they only faced inexperienced soldiers in battle.
compiler Allah, it says if the Battle of motto was nothing,
they said they only faced
inexperienced people in battle, they haven't faced anybody like us.
Right? So this was some of the things he said. So this obviously boosts the morale of the army. What did he also do, he brought the women and children of the soldiers along, and he placed them behind the soldiers to make sure no one fled from the battle, that if you were to flee, you are a disgrace to your family, you women and your children would watch you running away. So this will keep you focused and keep you fighting. So this is what he did. Also, he commanded that the swords be kept bare, and that the covers of the swords of the sheath of the swords be broken. And it is said that this was a war tactic back then, that if the opposition took their sword out of the, of the of the
sword cover, and broke the sword cover, then this meant that the opposition came with a life or death mindset. Right. So it wasn't like the Romans as they came. But you could see they wanted to go back to the safety and the financial standing and material well being but the Muslims came, either to be victors or to be Shaheed victors into in into,
you know, senses of the term. So when they came in, they did that, then they were trying to give an impression to the opposition, that we're here to win or to die.
Right, the sword is not going anywhere. So he made his soldiers do this also. And this was something that got to the Muslims, he placed
soldiers in concealment. Remember, we said now, this region is mountainous, so you have values. So he placed them in concealment, to ambush with aerial strikes.
The Muslim is when they were coming through the valley. And this was successful for them. And I'll tell you why. Also, he decided that we will attack first and it he said that back then in desert warfare, if you attacked First, the show that you had intact.
Also, he did another thing to try and break the moral of the Muslims. He brought many riding animals with him, and he placed the woman, the families of the soldiers on the riding camels behind. So that from afar, when you look at the opposition, you can see that this woman, but you can see that there's people, and this makes you feel like Subhanallah the numbers are far bigger than the numbers actually. Right. So this was what he did. So you can imagine Subhanallah what they did now the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he also was very practical, pragmatic. He was a strategist, he also took steps, what did he do, he sent out his scouts as he normally normally does, he sent out a
scout by the name of Abdullah Al eslami, Abdullah bin heatherdale eslami, to go and sculpt the situation and see what's happening. And he went, and he spent almost two days and he gathered a lot. But Subhanallah, he missed one important part.
So panela, he missed one important part, which part was that? That the enemy had concealed soldiers in strategic places that would cause an ambush situation to reach the Muslims, he missed this part of Han Allah. So he goes back to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And he explains everything, but he misses this panela. Now the Muslims, they carry on based on the information that they were given. And what happens they get into this valley, and they ambushed from both sides, La ilaha illAllah arrows shooting down at them from the right from the left from above. And the natural thing happened, they sort of naturally started retreating, looking for cover, obviously, they had shields
etc. And they're trying to block off this attack, but also what's the next thing that you do? The next thing that you do is you retreat and try and get into the place that you came from, so that you can be away from
this hotspot? That is the spot for the aerial bombardment. And that's what they did. They retreated from the prophets of Allah. Allah was another prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had someone with him from them was on a bus and I buses I was, I was holding the reins of the mu of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and the prophets of Allah. And he said, despite all this happening, he's putting the view and is pushing the MOU forward, and I'm passing, I'm trying to hold the MOU. What's the situation here? The Messenger of Allah is just moving ahead. Subhan, Allah Subhana Allah is not letting the situation determine or change anything. He has the promise of Allah wisdom, and
he carries on moving forward. And as he's moving forward, obviously, a boss is trying to make sense of the situation. That's upon Allah, the prophets, men, the soldiers, they're retreating, and the Prophet himself is going forward in front of him. This is going to be an army that's far larger than the army we have. So a boss is anticipating and thinking of all these things that that are, you know, naturally when your mind goes wild, and you start anticipating scenarios and circumstances to panela while he's going through all of this the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam calls out he says abus he calls out to a boss called the people office.
Sonora calls the people of Surah Al Baqarah, as we have in some of the narrations of the people of Samara, Samara, obviously, who
were the people who pledged allegiance to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam under the tree of Samara, the tree remember after Diwan, we spoke about the pledge of Ridwan, which happened
at the opening hour when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.
went for the first trip to Umbra, before the Treaty of Arabia was signed, there was the Pledge of Allegiance that also happened between the Muslims and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam Those were the people of the pledge of the bond. And also he called for he told us to call the people that the unsolved and Subhanallah
by some duration say he said called the people of Samara and Surah Al Baqarah. And Abbas makes this call and Subhan Allah, suddenly, the Muslims are with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, suddenly, you have the people of Ridwan present, you have the ansara, present Subhana, Allah and it he said that Abbas had this loud voice, but he says, That's Han Allah, His voice is loud, but you get the impression from him when he narrates this, that he didn't even have the confidence that this voice would do much at that time, given the intensity of the situation. But he says, Subhan Allah, the the Sahaba, were around the messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is called as quick as a cow
comes running, when it realizes that is vulnerable, vulnerable offspring is about to be attacked. Right? Now, if you think about this, this will also teach us brothers and sisters in Islam, just pondering you're trying to imagine the situation. How did they get back so quick? If they got back so quick, at least the retreat wasn't that big as well. I should have put things into the perspective here. Right? Because someone says, oh, the Sahaba left the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. It wasn't, that wasn't that kind of leaving. It was just human nature to step back. But for them to get back so quick, it means they weren't far gone up the valley where they came from
brothers and sisters in Islam, right? I'm just trying to imagine events. And I think what I'm sharing is extremely plausible that the retreat wasn't a retreat in the full sense of the word. It was just different to what they normally used to. And human nature overtook them, and they did what they did, but when the call came, and they were reminded, and they when when they were reminded, they quickly stepped back into their senses, and they were with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. Now, in the Quran in Surah Tauba. In the 10th, Jews, Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions to us this whole matter of her name, it perhaps we can take the eye a little bit later. So they answer
the call of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and despite everything in this ambush, the Muslims march forward and the reach the enemy, and the fighting ensued, and it was intense. And the Prophet sallallahu wasallam as I said, he calls for the answer. So the answer arrived, he then calls for the clan from hazard, the hazard arrive and Subhana Allah
the battle you know, intensifies and intensifies and it is said that the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam stretched out you know, he sort of stretched his head up his neck up to look at what's happening to look at the battle to look at the fighting and he famously
said an HMI and what is the famous words that we will use today when things get serious? Right when things get serious, some people use Subhan Allah, Allah understand today when when things get serious for us when when a nice big meal comes in front of us we say right, we ready to eat right? We fold up, we fold up our sleeves and we take off those who are wearing scarves take out the scarves if you're wearing a turban, the turban comes out and we say how many of what a salon Mr. And we have a subpanel that Allah guide us And forgive us sir, we say that the matter has become intense meaning the feasting is about to start no brothers and sisters in Islam back then, these words were
used when the fighting was intense, and the fighting had started and the battle was severe. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he described this and then it he said that he picked up some pretzels. And and Allah subhanho wa Taala blessed him with a miracle, for he threw the pebbles towards the enemy. And when he did, he said by the Lord of Muhammad be defeated. And so finally Subhanallah suddenly, all of the opposition started to feel irritation in the eyes. And all of a sudden, the pendulum swung into the favor of the minority, meaning the Muslims and the Muslim army started seeing them retreating. A retreat began to occur on their site, and some of them went to a
place and another. The others went to another place, I'm going to type in someone to another place and Subhanallah now it is the Muslims that we're in an offensive and the Muslims would not have to pursue those soldiers retreating. And Allah subhanho wa Taala. As I said, he mentioned this in the Quran and Allah when Allah subhanho wa Taala mentioned this
In the Quran, Allah subhanho wa Taala tells us that Allah sent down angels from the heavens and the angels fought with the Muslims, just like Allah subhanho wa Taala did and better. Allah subhanho wa Taala sent our angels and the angels fought with the Muslims and perhaps when we get into the lessons will join between brother and her name. So you can see the similarities between the two and what the first battle represented, and was what the last battle represented and Subhanallah how connected in a ring in a circle, the events of the Sierra are as well. So some free time, some free to pass for Opus, the Prophet sallallahu. For those fleeing over there, the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wasallam appointed a general and he sent them with soldiers to go and capture them. But for both the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam went himself now, pif was always going to be more difficult, because like haber pif was known for its fortresses. It had fortresses, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam went with the Muslims. And with the unit that was destined for five, he went there, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and the Muslims, they laid a siege on by just as they laid
a type of siege on the people of Haiti, because obviously, you go into your fortress, you lock your fortress, and that's it. They hide, they have a real advantage. The fortress is strong, the door is strong, right? So they up they are hoping you don't break the door down. And you at the bottom are hoping you can break the door down. And they are shooting arrows from the top. So it's not a very easy situation. In fact, when the Muslims got there, they park at a place that wasn't ideal. They were in a hotspot for arrows to land, and they were fired upon. And then they changed their positioning. And they camped and laid siege on pipe. And some sources state that the siege lasted
between 10 and 20 days. And some sources say up to 40 days. Now brothers and sisters in Islam
after some time, and this is why you always you always famously hear that, you know, but it wasn't like,
you know, meaning they discuss how do we discuss the victory of pif. Why? Why do people say that? Right? They say that because after some time, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam decided to end the siege. He didn't decide to remain there until they surrendered. He remained there until they surrendered, but in a different way. And he decided to leave and go back.
Right now, what happened here? Well, as I said, the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam decided that the CD should end because the psychological defeat had taken place on these people. Right? If you look at the situation, where they are up there, in the fortresses, if they look around, and they won't be able to see any isolators The region is a Muslim region.
Right? It's as if they are an island of disbelief on a sea of belief. Think of it that way, if I can put it into words like that, right? Think of it that way, like five is this island of disbelief on a sea of belief? So where are they where are they going to go? Eventually they will become Muslim.
They had no help in the region.
their surroundings were Muslims.
And what would happen if the thought of attacking the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam with the Muslims again?
Right? So the prophets of Allah who it was and looked at the situation, and perhaps this is the wisdom of Allah subhanho wa Taala as well because remember, many, many years ago in McAfee, they stoned him, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he didn't use the option that Allah gave him for the two mountains to come together and for these people to be crushed. So Subhanallah perhaps it is prophetic, that he decided to just back off, because what needed to be achieved was achieved and us opening this fortress and fighting
it sort of, you know it, it takes away the meanings that we know from the earlier part of this era, when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam forgave them. Right? Because you say, Well, he didn't take revenge then. But many years later, he came and fought them with the sword.
So the fact that he left them it's part of life like prophetic it gives so much more meaning to them, it competed when the profits are lower. It was it was alone, and they were stoning him until his slippers were filled with his blood. sallallahu alayhi wasallam. But even then, he said they do not know perhaps their progeny will know their children will know and they'll accept Islam, then I'm not here to send people to the hellfire. I'm here to take people to paradise. What? You know, how am I benefiting my mission? If we if I use the opportunity at hand and destroy them, they're just being the hellfire.
So Subhana Allah Allahu Allah, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam deciding to leave his prophetic Subhan Allah. And when we decided to leave
those that agreed with him there was obviously Shura all the time. There were those that agreed there were those that didn't agree. And for those who didn't agree some sources say the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam said okay, if you don't agree, let's see what you can do. And the situation was just repeated.
They try and go close the arrows get shot, they tried to go close the arrows get shot. So then they came back and said, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam said to them, so what's your view now?
In terms of those who agreed, they said, they described the people of five as a fox in a den. The Arabs are very poetic and and eloquent in their speech. They said, the people of Thai felt like a fox in a den. If you stand over the fox, eventually you catch it. And if you leave it, the fox will not harm you It scared of.
So basically, the equivalent to a fox. There's nothing to worry about. And that's how
the expedition of Al Hussein ended. Now what the expedition of hooni, who named the Battle of hoonah? Well, yo Ma, who named the day of grenade, that's how it ended. Now, there's a few highlights that I want to share with you, as I always try and do we try and just focus in on the events but I do share some important highlights from them. Is this famous Hadith we always hear about a Jelena that and work? Come home? that a lot we always hear of this narration? Right? When did this event happened? And when when did they say this to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. They said this during this expedition of honey.
Now, let me put some context here, remember, NACA was opened. So you had 2000 new Muslims, who hadn't read the Quran, who had an understood towhid property, they knew the basics, but they needed to develop their knowledge. So they didn't have knowledge.
And when this expedition was happening, take on, you know, part of the expedition meant that you pass the place where there was a tree called that and up, there was this tree called that and what
now what, what was so special about this tree,
while during the days of ignorant ignorance before Islam, that tribes, they would do pilgrimage to the tree, and then they would settle beside it, and they would hang their swords, their weapons on the tree, seeking blessings, that blessings fall on the swords and weapons, so that they serve the people better. And they will also sacrifice
animals that that's what they would also do. So this was something that they would do. Now when they accepted Islam. Obviously, they knew that this is now the past, but obviously their hearts were attached to the process. So they said to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam allocate for us a tree like you have allocated, meaning allocate for us a tree, just like the polytheists had allocated for themselves a tree.
The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he says Allahu Akbar.
Allah is the Greatest buy the one who has the soul of Muhammad in his hand, you will have spoken just like the people have spoken. Remember the people of Moosa, the people of Musa bello Israel. Remember, when Allah sent sign after sign, sign after sign, sign after sign that Allah is in control, and Allah split the sea and got them through the sea and drowned around with the sea. All of a sudden they saw walls made out of water, and they're walking through it after overs, they see people worshipping gods and they say to Moosa, Jelena early camella home earlier Subhana Allah allocate for us a god.
Jelena it hadn't come along earlier, it you know, allocate for us a God just like they have gods.
But did Allah subhanho wa Taala say about them or Moosa? say about them in the componentes Hello, you are ignorant people of ignorance. This is ignorance, you lack knowledge. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to them when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said and we should take note, he said, verily you will follow the way of those before you.
Now was the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam scolding them?
No, he wasn't scolding them. I sincerely believe he wasn't. He was responding to them with the demeanor that is required given the circumstances situation. It was a response. It was a lesson. Why was it he scolding them? Because they were new Muslims. They didn't know. They didn't know. So he was teaching them with enthusiasm given the reality of the situation that what you're asking for a shark? He's basically saying, You are asking, what you are asking for is idolatry is polytheism. You are asking for and for for something to be associated with Allah. When Islam is about there's no one worthy of worship besides one Allah.
That Allah is the Lord. He is the Sustainer the maker the giver of life and death. He is the maker. He is the only one worthy of worship. He is one in his lordship. He is one in his worship. He is one in his names and attributes. So Hanna who attack
so you can imagine that the response had to be expressive? Because this is not a classroom. This is a battle we're going to there's no time to you know,
take everything based on the lesson plan.
But the response had to be sharp had to be sweet had to be expressive so that the message strikes quickly. So again, they were new Muslims, they didn't know the define the details and now they were educated. Okay. So this is one highlight. Another highlight is the highlight of self amazement and how dangerous it is because of the verse in Surah Tauba Allah subhanho wa Taala says la vida na sobre como la Who? Female out Tina kaffee ra te o Mahoney, Allah says Allah has indeed helped you in many places. And then Allah brings the attention of the video was too young her name this difficult day. Remember the day when the Prophet said the fighting has become intense? Allah subhanho wa Taala
says is a job at school catarratto Khan. Allah says when your numbers image, it said that some people from the army, they felt amazed by the number.
They felt amazed by the number that we 12,000 people we came as 10 Luca, we added 2000 people stuck to the army. They felt amazed by the number. This was oversight. This is oversight. This was a mistake. But such is life brothers and sisters in Islam. Everything has a consequence right? So they became amazed by the numbers. Allah says
find them totally unconscious. It didn't help you. Cut it out of the mouth. And the earth that you were in became constructed for you. Allah is highlighting the ambush that happened. We all you could see was retreat from Milan a two month period and then you retreated to Han Allah. Then Allah says, from Manzil Allah who Sakina Who?
Allah Rasool e mininova. Angela Judah Lim Tara was the ballerina cafaro Subhan Allah whether leakages that would carve it into Maya to be loving by the Delica Allah Masha. Allah hoga Rahim Allah subhanho wa Taala. He highlights brothers and sisters in Islam
that he highlights you know the the scene what happened and then Allah subhanho wa Taala he says that Allah subhanho wa Taala showered upon His Messenger and upon the believers, the Sakina this contentment ones Allah and Allah subhanho wa Taala sent down soldiers that couldn't be seen meaning His angels
and then Allah subhanho wa Taala punished the disbelievers and that is the recompense for those who disbelieve and then Allah forgives those who he who he wishes.
And indeed, Allah subhanho wa Taala is the most forgiving, he's the most merciful. So Allah subhanho wa Taala highlights this point of self amazement, that they became amazed the irony is a jab at calm, castrato calm, they became amazed by the numbers and this their numbers did nothing for them.
It didn't benefit them in anyway.
Right? So how did they forget? That it's not the numbers that benefits its guidance and tofik from Allah inshallah we'll take that further when we get into
when we get into the lessons. Also brothers and sisters in Islam. Another highlight that happened with regards to this battle was the distribution of the spoils of war. Because this created a difficult moment for the unsought you can imagine the teeth and the houses in these are big, massive tribes so and what they brought to the battle when they fled, all of the animals became into a came into the hands of the Muslims. And what happens? The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam when he starts distributing the spoils of war, he favors
I use the term not in the wrong way in the right way. He gives let's let's not use favors in case somebody doesn't see the way that I intend the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam he allocates more to the Quraysh the hopper fan and Tommy
right to the new Muslims from them to the freed people of Makkah, who accepted Islam, after they were freed and forgiven by the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam the seniors of the Quraysh suffer and abou Sophia and a crema and others, right. So Hale is giving them
large quantities up to 100 camels were given to even to two individuals 100 100 100 the prophets of Allah Allah he was selling misgiving. And he would do the sallallahu alayhi wa sallam Remember I told you of the person who came from afar. And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam gave him so much that he went running back to his people and he said accept Islam enter into Islam For indeed Muhammad gives a giving the giving of a person who doesn't fear poverty.
Now, when this was happening, the young people from the unsought, the younger wasn't the seniors from the answer. The younger people from the outside they felt hurt. And they felt hurt. And they started saying things that they clearly didn't mean. Right You know, like the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has found these people and look, he's favoring his people and so on and so forth. This was this was a mistake, right? The younger people said this. Now Sadie biloba, he is from the seniors, despite the banner take being taken away from him and given to his son he stole from the seniors. He comes to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to discuss the matter. And the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wasallam
listens to what he has to say. And then the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says, What do you feel? Yeah, sad. Sad is wise. inshallah he didn't feel as they felt. He just said oh prophet of Allah, I'm one of my people. Meaning it doesn't matter what I feel the reality is this is the sentiment on the ground. Right and I'm one of my people we have to deal with it. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said gather the Ansari gather them. So they were gathered at a place and some of them who had urine while out to enter and others were not allowed to enter and then the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam gave a hotbar in which he praised Allah subhanho wa Taala and then he said yeah, Mashallah, Lancer. Oh, people have the answer. What
is this that I hear about your feelings of disappointment and anger?
What is this that I'm hearing before I came to you were you not misguided and then freely Allah guided you?
Were you not poor and then Allah made you rich through me? Were you not enemies to one another and then Allah united your hearts.
So they said align His Messenger I better align His Messenger kinda align His Messenger, most gracious to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Will you answer me?
I mean, you praising but a question was asked, What do you not answer me?
So they said what can we say a messenger of Allah when the favor and blessings upon us are from a lion is Rasul sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, you're right. You're right. We were those things.
And three, you Allah subhanho wa Taala blessed us. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to them,
he says,
Yeah, Masha, Allah Azza wa people have the answer. If you wanted, you could have said, you couldn't have said that you came to us. When your people this believed in you, and we believed in you. And you came to us when you were forsaken by your people, and we helped you. And you came to us when you were driven out by your people, and we took you in, and we comforted you. And we, and you came to us when you are a messenger of Allah, and we gave you and the Nigerian comfort.
That's what the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to them, and then he said, oh and south.
The anger you have felt, and you are feeling his anger for some small, insignificant worldly matter. Things which I appease some of these people with so that they can hold on to Islam. Remember, we spoke earlier brothers and sisters in Islam, you can't empty Islam for money. But what was the idea? The idea was some people enter Islam but they still reminisce of the past. They still they still think of their past they still battle the the the devils of the past. And then when you show kindness to them, what happens?
There is a vicious they have about you disappear. Remember, they hated Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam. But when you beat when you when the person you hate is kind to you, what does that do to your emotions, it resets your emotions, and you start seeing things clearly. And the battle you having does ceases to be a battle anymore. And you can focus on developing your faith and learning about Islam and being a good Muslim. This is what the prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam wanted to do with them. He was just trying to soften the hearts.
So he said to the unsavoury you angry because of these matters of the world, which are insignificant and temporary, which I give to these people so that they can hold on to Islam. He said As for you, oh, I trust you all with your Islam. Yeah, my actual answer, oh, people have the answer. Would you not please you that these people go back with sheep and go back with camels and you go back with the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, La ilaha illa Allah
Subhana Allah what a statement honestly
Subhan Allah, Allah He recalibrates us today, the statement who doesn't let you think of yourself Subhanallah How many times do we do things because of our ego, because you know of worldly benefit because of gain because of fame.
But if we held on to the sun,
would be leaving all this temporary stuff for the people who wanted and we'd be going back with the messenger sallallahu alayhi wasallam
to Han Allah. May Allah grant us the understanding brothers and sisters in Islam.
He said to them, by Allah, you are going back with better and had it not been for the hijra. Though the fact that I had to migrate from Mecca to Medina, I would have been a person from the unserer.
There would be no need for you to feel Ama mohajir. I'm from the I would have been from the answer. The issue the issue is that we have a reality known as the hisher that took place which gave a title called Alhaji rune, and a title called the unsolved but he had not been for the hedger I would have been from you. And then he said to them, and this is powerful brothers and sisters in Islam.
He said, Oh, I'm sorry. You are the inner garment and they are the outer garment. La ilaha illa Allah when he said the sallallahu alayhi wasallam they cried and cried, grown men, soldiers, brothers and sisters in Islam, they cried until the beards were soaked. This is the understanding we get from the Arabic narrative. And they understood the the error of their ways, and they understood the reality of the situation. They had a temporary moment of weakness and the words of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam recalibrated them, they now became pleased or then they became pleased and no doubt they felt ashamed for their actions. Okay, time has come to an end. So we'll just take
one more highlight inshallah and then close the session with some final points and as for the lessons we'll do tomorrow, inshallah, before we discuss the next segment of the syrup even later Allah the fourth highlight I want to share brothers and sisters in Islam is during,
you know this event when the CG was being laid on top of, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam chose to leave them now and leave the part. He was asked to make dua against the people of life, that Allah destroy them. And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam instead, I asked Allah to grant him guidance.
Han Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, how amazing was this map? How amazing was this man?
Remember, when he was stoned, so many years ago, when he was considered weak, and they were considered strong.
He chose for them not to be punished. And he made to offer the guidance he hoped for their progeny to be believers. And now when he had the upper hand, and they were locked in their fortress, scared, weak, deserted.
He had the ability to punish them and take revenge.
Even when he's told make dua that Allah curses them and destroys them. He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says, may Allah guide them.
What a lesson for us brothers and sisters in Islam. What a lesson. What a lesson and guess what? The books of Sierra say about a year later, these people became Muslims. Allahu Akbar. So please do join in for that insha
Allah, ask Allah subhana wa to Allah to forgive our past and inspire our futures and make us a people that have only come together to seek Allah's pleasure alone for his sake alone, and to make us the people that hear a good word and follows it and ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to accept our entire month of Ramadan to grant us the rewards of the night of power and decree and virtually little other and to make us from amongst those freed from the Hellfire and to bless us with many many more Ramadan's after this was we are in good health and good life.
