evils of ourselves and the adverse consequences of our deeds, whomsoever Allah subhanho wa Taala
decrees guidance upon the nun can misguide that person and whomsoever Allah subhanho wa Taala
decrees misguidance upon the nun can guide him and peace and salutations be upon the final messenger
		

			Muhammad ibn Abdullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, we thank Allah subhanho wa Taala for gathering us
in one of his houses to learn from the inheritance of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam for the
NBA aleikum wa salatu wa sallam, they did not leave behind currency upon their death. Rather, they
left behind beneficial knowledge, the knowledge or some of the knowledge of Allah subhanho wa Taala.
And this is what we endeavour to learn. In our setting today, ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to bless
this gathering, to make it a gathering surrounded by angels. ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to make us
a gathering that lends beneficial knowledge and a gathering forgiven upon our departure. I mean, the
		

			topic for this very, very small workshop is a topic with a big name, right. And it definitely
requires a lot more time, a lot more energy, and a lot more sittings like these. But nonetheless, we
feel a loss of handle subhanho wa Taala to the best of our abilities. And this surely is something
better than nothing. And the topic today is an introduction to the science of an introduction to the
science of faith. And I would edit it a bit and say an introduction to the introduction of the
sciences have.
		

			Now, there's a great importance for each and every one of us to study this particular topic,
especially in the time and age that we live in, where there's a lot of Islamophobia. And there's a
lot of so called academics of Islam, Islamic thinkers, and so on and so forth, that discuss the

and so forth. So especially in light of these programs being aired, we understand the importance of
		

			equipping ourselves with some knowledge about the Sharia. Also, when we study this particular topic,
it's important because it assists us in becoming diverse with our views. And it grants us an ability
to become tolerable. And that is why Rahim Allah famously said, that when a person increases his or
her knowledge, they automatically become more merciful upon themselves, they become more merciful
upon themselves. Why? Because now they've acquired knowledge. And it has taught them how much they
did not know, right? Because we know that we have four categories of people, we have four categories
of people, we have people who know and know that they know. And these are the allameh. And these are
		

			people that we should attach ourselves to, for they have knowledge, and they have the correct
knowledge, and they are upon knowledge and insight. And they continue their lives, according to the
teachings of the Sharia. Then we have a group who think that they know, but they don't know. And
this is a very dangerous Group, a very dangerous group. Because a person who thinks that they know
something, and in reality, they don't know. This is not a person, you can teach anything. You can't
teach this person anything because they think they know, right? And they will debate you and argue
with you and Pinilla you'd be thinking Alhamdulillah he's saying these things to me, not to anybody
		

			else.
		

			Because if he said it to somebody else, they will consider him an outright dash dash dash dash. So,
this is a very dangerous group. And we ask Allah subhanho wa Taala protection from this group. And
this sitting of ours is a means of channeling us and making us realize how much we may have not
known, which in turn protects us from falling into the second category, then we have a third
category of people. And this third category of people consists of those who don't know, and they
know that they don't know, it's not an ideal group of people, but they are they are people of
benefit. These are people who will attend lessons, instead of arguing they will ask why because they
		

			know they don't know. Right? And they want to learn. So they will ask. So these people have
potential of becoming the first group of people because they will learn and with time insha Allah,
Allah will grant them knowledge and pacira. And they will become people of knowledge. And then we
have a fourth group. And that group consists of people who know but don't know that they know. And
we have them in society that people who know things, but they shy, they don't have confidence, so
they don't stand up and speak or they might respect others. So they prefer to keep silent, like what
happened with the Allahumma when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam produced a puzzle for the
		

			Sahaba of the Allahu anhu. And even Omar the Allahumma knew the answer to the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam scenario, the scenario that he painted, he knew that what the prophet sallallahu
alayhi wasallam is talking about here is a d3. But he kept silent why because he knew he was in the
gathering of Omar he will have Barbara De La Hoya and Abu Bakr. And this might not be an appropriate
example, because he knew and knew that he knew, but he decided to keep quiet. But this is an example
of people of this category, they know something but because they don't have the confidence, they
still feel that the knowledge they have that they have is insufficient. Until one day they pick up a

the rewards of the instructor and the students who are learning because they facilitate the
		

			attendance of both. So the instructor went spend time and learned and came and taught and this
person remained in his or her country and was a means of facilitating the spread of this knowledge.
And we know that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam said that the one who is a means for
goodness will get the same rewards as the person who does that good. May Allah subhanho wa Taala
make us from amongst those that receive rewards from the good acts of others because we facilitate
them. I mean, so these are many, many aspects that teach us the importance of these particular
gatherings from this particular gathering. First and foremost, I want to advise one in all to make
		

			your intention sincere, that we are here to worship Allah subhanho wa Taala first and foremost that
what we're doing here is like nephila Salah, lactea mulay, right. Remember Rama 1pm ln hamdulillah
we have the potential of earning the same rewards as they emulate, because there are lemma discussed

sallallahu alayhi wasallam. So ensure that your primary focus is the worship of Allah subhanho wa
Taala. Don't make your primary focus to learn, make your primary focus to worship Allah subhanho wa
		

			Taala to build your paradise to make heavier your scales on the day of gamma, treat this as a
nothing fast or nothing solid. And then the byproduct of you're sitting with your sincere intention
insha Allah will be the attainment of knowledge May Allah subhanho wa Taala increases in knowledge,
attaining knowledge is from the roots of our sharing. And this setting will teach us in sha Allah,
how are shediac is viable throughout every time spent and viable in every place. And this is one of
the objectives behind teaching the development of IQ or the introduction of sitting courses like
this. This is an introduction to the introduction as I said, but I want to share with you these
		

			important points so that you look out for other alumni who are teaching it and other institutions
who are teaching it and ensure that you go and take it in greater detail. Learning this particular
topic helps us answer misconceptions about our sherea. We also appreciate the intricate yet
practical nature of Islamic law. And this is important we appreciate right, the intricate nature of
Islamic law thus we appreciate the allameh when you appreciate the intricacies of
		

			You start appreciating the lemma, and you're not quick to put them down. No, are you quick to
criticize them? Because now you learn how much you don't know. So this is one of the important
points and the objectives from courses such as such as these. In this particular courses, the
endeavor as well should be to develop an appreciation of our scholars, and the tip or the mother hub
of work, as well as develop a sense of toleration for other people's views. And, as I said, first

shove it over your heads and walk out this machine, because what will happen is you will only attain
half knowledge, and half knowledge is worse than no knowledge. Believe me, half knowledge is worse
than no knowledge. You can write that with golden ink because the disasters of our time, in terms of
		

			academia have happened because of half knowledge where people thought they knew, but they didn't
know. So inshallah we'll go in stages and whatever Allah subhanho wa Taala allows us to cover then
we will cover and if Allah subhanho wa Taala gives us both strength, then we'll leave in city after
eight o'clock inshallah.
