Can you guys hear me? Sisters, can you
hear me in the back? Yeah. Alright. Awesome.
Brothers and sisters, if I can have your
attention for a few hours, Insha Allah no.
I'm just kidding.
Just a little bit.
We ask Allah to
bless us with beneficial knowledge
and to
allow us to benefit from that knowledge
and to increase us in
goodness and in implementation
as well. And we also ask Allah, subhanahu
wa ta'ala, to make this a gathering
that the prophet
had mentioned,
that when people come together
and they go over the Quran,
then in that gathering, the sakeen of Allah,
subhanahu wa ta'ala, tranquility, peace descends upon those
individuals.
Not only that, the angels surround that gathering.
Not only that,
the mercy of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala envelops
that gathering as well, and Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala mentions those individuals
with those who are with Him.
So imagine the honor that we come together
for the sake of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala mentions us amongst
the angels.
May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala accept from all
of us.
Today we're going to be looking at the
story of the people of the ditch, and
we'll be looking at Surat al Buruj as
well. And this is a story that most
people have heard of. How many people have
heard of this surah or this story?
The surah, I'm sure all of you guys
know about it. But the story how many
people have heard about this story?
So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala revealed this surah
during a time when the Muslims were going
through hardship.
The dua started a few years have passed,
but they're still going through difficulties.
And the companions came to the prophet sallallahu
alaihi wa sallam, they told them, you Rasool
Allah,
why don't you ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
to help us? You see what's going on
with us, you see the situation. Why don't
you ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to help
us?
And the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam mentioned
that people before you, they were tested when
it came to their religion
in the most severe way, but that never
made them weaken or leave their religion.
And it was getting so intense that people
even left Makkah. There's a group of individuals,
they left Makkah to go to
Abyssinia
because there was a just king there, because
they couldn't deal with the hardship that they
were facing.
And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, from the surahs
that He sent down, He sent down Surat
al Buruj.
And he starts it off by saying, wasama
izatilburuj.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala takes an oath
and says,
by the
sky or by the heavens
that possesses
and buruj is
castles,
something that is of great stature.
And you find in the books of tafsir,
as mentioned, the stars, the great stars. And
we know that
when it comes to the sun compared to
the earth, how many earths does it take
to fit in the sun?
Where are these science people?
Review.
6th grade science, I think.
1,200,000
earths go into the sun, can fit in
the sun. Now just imagine the stars that's
there,
and what else is there in the skies
that we don't see?
Or I should say, who is there?
So the angels are there and the prophet
sallallahu alaihi wa sallam told us that there's
not a space
of 4 fingers except that there's an angel
there. So all these individuals are witnessing what
goes on
and then Allah
swears by
which is the appointed day
And Allah
uses the definite article here,
that because it's one day.
And then he takes an oath by wasaheedinwamashhood.
And this is everything that witnesses
and everything that is witnessed upon.
Now, what are some examples of witnesses?
Something that will be a witness or someone
that will be a witness. I'll go first
by the way. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is
the witness.
What else is a witness?
The angels are witnessing what's going on. What
else?
Your own hands.
The prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam was a witness
as well. Yes.
Sisters,
our tongues are witnesses. What else?
Your eyes. Your eyes.
What else?
This Ummah is a witness as well. I'm
not gonna ask you for evidence, but you're
right.
What else?
Okay. Go with that.
The Quran is a witness.
So, what is that telling us?
So, let's pull back a little bit. Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala has taken an oath
by the sky
and that of the mighty stars that it
possesses.
The fortresses that is there, and who's standing
there? The angels are standing there.
By the appointed
day, yomul qiyama.
By all the witnesses and that things that
are witnessed upon.
And then he says,
When you take an oath, there has to
be an answer. So for example,
you know, you get into it with somebody
and say, and you tell them, what?
Alright. What?
What are you gonna do?
What's the answer you're waiting for?
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says,
And some of the scholars say that this
is the answer to the oath that Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala is saying. And Zamakhshari, he
says, one of the scholars of language,
that he said is actually
missing there but is
pointed towards by this verse.
And, kutira is du'a upon these individuals
and the du'a from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
which is a curse upon these individuals.
And if Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala curses someone,
is there any hope for them?
No.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala Remember how forbearing,
impatient, and loving Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is.
For it to get to that level where
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala curses them,
then they've probably transgressed
a great
transgressing.
That it gets to them.
So the context is Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
swears by all of these things
that the kuffar of Quraish
are cursed
just the way the people of the ditch
were cursed.
So what does it tell us?
Now let's look at justice for example.
Somebody comes and they steal something of mine.
Do I get justice right away?
Or there is a procedure I have to
follow?
Shame. Is there a procedure I have to
follow? What's the procedure?
Someone said someone. Any lawyers here?
Process. I got to go file a complaint
and it's gonna go to court. I have
to have evidence to support it.
And do I get justice at the end?
Maybe if I have a strong enough case.
If I don't have the evidence to support
it, maybe not. But it takes time.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is telling us here
and telling the Muslims
by taking an oath because there's doubts. Anytime
there's an oath and if multiple things are
mentioning, are being mentioned here, that means people
are doubtful to show emphasis Allah subhanahu wa'ala
is taking this oath
and saying that nothing is going to be
missing. Everything is recorded.
When we stand in front of him, all
the tapes are going to play, All the
witnesses are gonna be stand forward so much
so that even our skins are going to
bear witness against us.
So this means that nobody gets away.
You might have the propaganda,
the ability, the marketing skills to be able
to get away with things But on yawmalqiama,
nobody will get away with anything.
Everything is recorded. They will deny it and
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will tell their
skins to speak on their behalf.
And they will say,
That why are you bearing witness against her?
We're supposed to be on the same team.
That Allah
made us speak and He is able to
make everything speak.
So nobody gets away.
Justice will be served one day.
Whether a person thinks they got away with
it in this world, the reality is that
they didn't get away with it. There will
be consequences and they will be standing in
front of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala one day
that they will be have to pay their
dues. They're going to be taken into account.
Everything is going to be presented in front
of them. And who are the people of
the ditch? The prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam
said in a hadith that is recorded in
Sahih al Muslim.
That there used to be he's telling this
to the Sahaba, that there used to be
a king before you
and this king, he had a magician. So
right away, you know that these people are
messed up. The fact that he has a
magician
on his cabinet
who's up to no good, these people are
oppressing the people,
he gets his power through
haram ways
and this magician, once he got old,
he told the king that, why don't you
send me a young boy so I can
teach him magic
and that he can continue my work after
me?
You know, there's one thing where you live
a life of sin
and then instead of realizing your mistake when
you get older, you want to pass on
this legacy of sin.
And everything that this boy does and what
comes after him is going to go back
to this magician at the end of the
day.
So, nonetheless, he wants to take this position
so the king sends a young boy to
study with him. So, every time this young
boy used to go
and on his way to the magician, he
used to pass by a monk
who was dedicated in his worship to Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. The fact that the word
Rahib is used gives an indication that these
people were Christians but upon the true tawhid.
And he used to sit with him
and his speech captured his attention. He was
captivated by it.
So when he used to go to the
magician, he was late because he used to
spend time with this monk.
And the magician didn't like him coming late
and he would beat him.
And then he went and he complained to
the monk that every time I go to
the magician he beats me. So the monk
told him that when you go to the
magician,
tell him that your family held you back
and then when you go home late, tell
them that the magician held you back
because you have to protect yourself
and you're striving for the truth.
And then he would continue on like this.
He will go and learn from the monk
and he will go and learn from the
magician. Now this kid
is
living 2 completely opposite lifestyles.
First of all, we ask the question why
do you choose a boy? Because young kids
are impressionable.
They can't really tell the difference and also
they learn quickly as well. That's why you
have 7 years of huffad because
their memory is sharp and also they're impressionable.
They don't know what is right and what's
wrong.
And, when you're going to learn magic, you
learn you're going to literally learn shirk and
kufr.
This belief in order to get the help
of the jinns and to be involved in
that world, you are going against what Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala loves and likes. And now
he's going to the monk, he's learning to
heed the pureness of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
The wonderful religion, everything that is good. So
he's living 2 completely different lifestyles
in terms of his learning.
And one day as he's going he There's
this big beast, this animal that's blocking the
way of the people.
And he says that today I'm going to
find out if
the witch is more beloved to Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala. The way of the monk or
the way of this magician? So he picks
up a stone and he says, Oh Allah,
if the way of the monk is more
beloved to you then get rid of this
animal so that the people can continue.
He throws the rock
and he kills the beast.
And then he goes and he tells the
monk this, that this is what happened and
this is what I did and the beast
died. And the monk says that, today you
have become better than me.
You have surpassed me
and Allah
is going to test you.
When we have iman,
the test is going to come to see
whether or not we're going to persevere and
be resilient, be steadfast
in our deen, in our commitment to this
religion.
But he told this young boy that, Don't
give me up.
If something happens, they find out what you're
doing, don't tell them that you learned from
me. Keep my identity a secret.
So naturally as he's going now, he starts
a new life. He's curing people. They have
blindness. He cures them. They can see again.
Leprosy, cures them. All sorts of diseases. Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala gave him not gave him
the ability but through he was supplicating to
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala cured these individuals.
Now naturally his reputation is going to spread.
If he was living in our time, we
make a video and become viral and everyone
know about this kid.
But he's hiding his identity as much as
he can but the news is spreading.
So much so that one of the ministers
of the king, who is blind, found out
about this.
So he takes a ton of gifts and
money and he goes to this young boy
and he tells him that all of this
is for you
if you cure me.
Now see, the test comes
whether he's doing this for the sake of
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala or it's to fill
his pocket.
Whether greed is going to overtake him.
Whether he's going to attribute it to Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala or not. And he replies
and he says that I don't cure anyone.
It is Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala who cures.
If you believe in Allah, I will supplicate
to him and he will cure you.
So he said, okay.
Now, did he actually
become
Muslim because he submitted to Allah? Did he
actually accept the faith
for the sake of Allah or just for
the sake that he would get cured?
We'll find out later.
So he supplicates Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala cures this person. He goes
back to the king, sits with him, and
the king notices that his eyesight is back.
And he tells him, Who cured you? He
says,
that my lord cured me.
And the king says,
That do you have a lord other than
me?
He believed himself to be the lord.
And his friend answers and says,
That my Lord and your Lord is Allah.
And he's definitely not happy with that answer.
So he goes and he starts torturing him
to find out that how did this happen.
And he was unable to bear it so
he gave up the boy.
The boy is brought and he's also punished
and tortured as well. He's unable to bear
it. He gives up the monk.
They bring the monk and the king tells
him, give up your religion.
Leave this faith.
And he says, no chance.
They took him, they buried him
and they took a saw and they literally
cut him in half.
And then he brought his
confidant, his minister, his friend that used to
sit with him, and he tells him, leave
your religion as well.
Does he?
Sure. He didn't just do it for the
sake of his eyesight coming back.
He's like, no thank you.
When iman enters somebody's heart,
they become unshakable.
When the magicians of Firaun saw the reality
of what Musa alaihis salam had brought, they
knew this was no trick. This wasn't an
illusion. It was from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
Allah says,
They were thrown into sujood.
Their iman, their faith
sunk into their hearts and threw them into
sujood.
And they just became
Muslim.
They just believe in Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
And he killed this person as well. And
then he brings the boy and he tells
him, leave your religion, no chance.
And this boy is different because he's valuable.
If the king is able to get him
on his side,
because magic is important to him, he utilizes
it to
mess around with people.
If you could look at the influence of
magic, the prophet
That from speech is also magic because it
mesmerizes people.
It brainwashes people. What is the equivalent of
magic in today's day and age?
Media.
Through media, you're able to
depict a narrative
that is not true necessarily
but the people they see, they start believing
it. That's all they see in front of
them. That they get brainwashed and they believe
that this is the truth.
The truth is mixed up.
They start believing falsehood is true
and that which is true is actually false.
And if we're not careful who is the
one who said this? I believe Malcolm x.
Right? That if you're not careful,
you will start
to be supporting the people who are wrong
believing that they are right
because of the way the narrative is controlled.
So this boy is important to the king
and he needs to keep him. So he
doesn't do anything to him. He tells him
he tells a group of people to take
this boy, go up to the mountain, scare
him, tell him leave your religion. If not,
then throw him off.
So he goes up the mountain with these
people and he makes a dua to Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and says,
Allahu. That O Allah, suffices for me from
them as you wish. And Allah
causes the mountain to shake. They all fall
down and down and then he comes back
to the king walking nicely
and the king is like what happened to
your people? He's like Allah
rescued me from them.
So you can imagine how furious this king
is. He tells another group of people to
take this boy to go to the river,
scare him, tell him to leave his religion,
if he doesn't throw him off.
He goes with them, he makes the same
dua,
That sufficed for me for from these individuals
as you deem fit. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
causes them to drown. He's saved. He comes
back, goes back to the king
and
he said, what happened to your people?
They came. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala saved me
from them.
And the boy now interrupts him before he
could say anything.
If you want to really kill me, then
you need to do
what I tell you to do. So he's
taking control of the narrative now. The king
says, okay. Tell me what I need to
do. He says, gather the people in a
gathering,
get everyone in the city together,
and then when they're there, tie me to
the tree to the trunk of a tree,
and then take out an arrow from my
quiver,
put it on the bow
and then say,
Bismillah
Berrub Bil Gulam. Let's say Bismillah in the
name of the Lord of this boy and
then shoot me. If you do this, you
will get rid of me.
So the king does this. He gathers all
the people. Everyone's there. It's a big event.
He puts the boy there in front of
everyone.
He takes out the arrow, puts it in
the bow, says and yells out, Bismillah birrup
b'il holaam.
Everyone hears this
and he shoots him. And it pierces his
temple
and the boy touches that area, his wound,
and he passes away.
May Allah have mercy upon him.
And then all of a sudden,
they yell,
We believe in the Lord of this boy.
The crowd yells out.
The last thing the king wanted to hear.
And his ministers come to him and tell
him that this is what you feared.
And the king being furious, he said,
dig trenches across the city.
Deep trenches and fill them with fire.
And then bring the people there and tell
them if they don't leave their religion, then
throw them in it.
And every single person was thrown into it
and they didn't hesitate. There was one lady.
She had an infant with him with
her. And it was as if she
was a little bit hesitant
and Allah
caused the baby to speak.
And the baby said, continue as you are
mother because you are upon the truth.
And then she also went
and
lost her life. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala talks
about this in Surah Al Buruz.
The way they did it is they had
this
huge fire, massive flaming fire.
And not only that,
Now what is the equivalent of that type
of punishment today's day and age?
Modern warfare, guys.
Because the ones who follow the same footsteps,
doesn't matter the era,
they're still in the equation.
Just like they did it, the Kufar Quresh
and whoever else comes after them. And their
tactic was something else that was relevant to
their time. In today's day and age, is
the missiles, the bombs,
and so on and so forth that people
utilize.
Same reference guys.
Not only
that,
They were sitting there enjoying seeing this happening.
There's one thing when somebody's in the army
and they're forced to be in there,
and they don't like what it is but
they're just too scared to stand up.
There's another thing when somebody's enjoying it,
and they're recording it, and they're posting it,
and showing off about this.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is telling about these
individuals.
They're
sitting.
And they're witnessing it and enjoying it.
They're getting joy from it. And why? Why?
At the end of the day, we ask
why? Why so much hatred?
Is there a reason for it?
Can you justify it? And Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala says,
That this hatred
that they have is because is only because
that they believe in Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala chooses two names
here. It says Aziz and Hamid. Aziz, which
means the one who can never be overcome.
Everything that's going on Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
is aware of it.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala can do anything at
any time.
And also on top of that he's Hamid
as well. He's the one who's always praised.
In every situation Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is
praised.
Now, do most people have this type of
a hatred for people who believe?
I would say, no.
There's people who have that type of hatred
and they're the people who are in influence.
They're able to manipulate
and twist the agenda so that other people
start believing the lies as well.
And Allah
is saying that the only reason they hate
is because they believe in Allah.
They believe in the truth. They propagate the
truth. They call for goodness, for change.
Is that something to be hated?
Is that something you should do this to
individuals who call for that? And then he
says,
That the one
to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens
and the earth.
Everything is within Allah's kingdom. Everything is happening
under His authority and He is
a witness for every single thing. The word
has come 3 times already.
Telling us that everything
is being recorded.
Everything is going to testify.
Nothing is hidden from Allah
One day justice will be served.
And then now look at this,
this is just
insane.
Allah says,
That those individuals who test the believers, who
punish the believers, who use this fire to
torture the believers,
they go through this. Maybe they don't know.
They were brainwashed.
And they don't turn back and change
The consequence of that is they get the
punishment of the hellfire and
also the
burning punishment as well.
Hassan al Basri said look at the generosity
of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
These people tortured
his servants,
but yet he's still calling them back.
Still opening the gates so that they can
come back. And if they don't, then that's
when they get the punishment of the hellfire.
And then it also says the burning punishment,
the *, burn, same thing, right?
But Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is saying this
because they utilize that form of punishments. Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala is saying that that's for
them as well.
Not only in the akhara
but in the dunya as well. And in
the books of tafsir, you see that this
story of the people of the ditch, when
they threw the Muslims in the fire, Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala caused the fire to come
out and burn all of them as well.
So he says
referring to
that. And then he says
And those individuals who believe
and they act on that belief, they do
the righteous actions for them
is Gardens.
What is the American dream by the way?
Can anyone tell me I'm new here?
Pardon me? Forty acres of fuel.
Forty acres of fuel?
A mule, okay.
What's the American dream, guys? A big home.
A big home. Alright.
Anyone
else? Okay.
Boy, girl, on the wow. Very specific.
I like that.
So the American dream is to have your
own home, you could say. Nice big house,
Debt free to enjoy. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
Now imagine what's there.
The last person, by the way, to enter
Jannah. The last. Not the first.
The last person who's gone through a purification
process which means they've been through *. Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala protect us from that and
never allow us to even get close to
it.
The last person that comes out of the
hellfire and is to be entered into jannah
gets
10 times the size of this world and
what's in it.
Not one time.
How many times?
Ten times the world and what's in it.
So the one who hangs on to that
faith,
even though they go through this difficulty,
the victory for them is at the end
of the day, it's for them.
That is the great victory.
And then Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says, now
this is like tawhid coming in.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is gonna tell us
who he is,
to put us in line, to remind us
of who he is and what he's capable
of. And some of the scholars said that
this is the answer to the oath that
was taken before. When Allah says,
The answer, this is the one coming right
now.
That Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is something when
you take something with force.
Somebody drapes you up, you can't do anything,
you can't resist.
Allah says his taking
is severe.
No one's going to escape it. If Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala decides to do something, nobody
can stop him.
He's the one who originates
and He originate and He let things happen
and the believers pass away while you read
and you will return them back to life.
Just like those people who think that they
got away
and they lose their life. Once that transition
happens, they're done. And not only that, Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala will resurrect them
for even more severe
punishment.
And then he says, he's
the one who always forgives, constantly forgives.
No sin is too big for a person
not to be able to turn back to
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala. Not only that, he's
the one who loves intensely.
Pure love.
I could forgive somebody
but not necessarily love them.
I could have mercy on somebody
and not necessarily love them.
And when I was in Medina,
we had a situation in terms of some
paperwork. We tried to find an agent to
help us out. Nothing was getting done, so
I found an agent online
and Allah will that he scanned me for
some money.
Lost
a little bit of money.
Now as I'm standing there and I'm upset,
I don't make, you know, should I be
angry? Should I make dua against this person?
And I remember that,
hey, you know, I have a lot of
sins as well.
I made a lot of mistakes.
I want Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to forgive
me, So let me practice forgiveness as well
in the hopes that he forgives me.
But I don't turn around and start loving
this person now.
But Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
when his servant turns to him,
not only does he accept from them,
but he also loves them intensely.
I want you to just take a minute
and really let that sink in.
Sometimes we create barriers, mental barriers,
of why I am so bad and not
worthy of Allah loving me.
I want you to just
remove those barriers.
Just be there,
feel your connection with Allah
and allow that love
to touch you.
Because sometimes we put barriers there, mental barriers
that's not there, that shouldn't be there, But
we put it there because we have this
belief system. I've done so much and this
this. I'm slacking off, so on and so
forth. So I'm not worthy of Allah's love.
But Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is saying
in a surah about people who have transgressed
beyond the limits.
That Allah
accepts forgiveness from them. Not only that
but then
intense love, not just normal love, intense love,
pure love,
divine love.
And this is coming from the
possessor of the mighty Arash,
the one who is noble.
This Arash, if you look at the entire
universe and everything that's there, we know there
are 7 heavens. And the 7 heavens compared
to the Qursi of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
is like a ring that you throw in
a desert.
We read every single day. The 7 heavens
compared to the Qursi is like a ring
that you throw in a desert.
We're not the Aush yet, by the way.
Put all of that together,
compared to the is like a ring in
a desert.
This massive structure Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala possesses
it,
owns it.
And the prophet
he gave an example of one of the
angels that carries
the That he was given permission to share
this with us. And he said that the
distance from the earlobe
to the shoulder of this angel is how
many years?
This distance right here.
This much.
That's like 4 inches.
700
years.
How many years?
700
years.
And then Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says,
That he does what he wants.
Yes. He loves us but at the end
of the day, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala chooses
what happens, what will happen, what will not
happen, and how things ultimately are going to
turn out.
And then he turns the story, he says
that has the news of the people of
the soldiers come.
The soldiers of Fir'aun and Thamud that the
people of Mecca, don't they realize? Don't they
learn from these examples? They know the stories
of these two nations.
They've passed by it. They've seen the destruction.
Don't they take lesson from this? But he
says
that these the ones who reject faith, they're
in Takhtiib.
They're drowning in disbelief.
Drowning in their false ideologies.
That they refuse to see the truth. Just
because they reject the truth does not mean
that the Quran is untrue.
Allah says
and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala encompasses
all that they do. Everything he is aware
of. Everything is being recorded. Everything is going
to show up one day.
Again, you see that theme over and over
about things being recorded. About witnesses going to
be there, that nothing is outside of Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
And then he ends and says That
this Quran
that he sent down
that serves as a reminder to us. This
is the word of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.
It is not
the word of a human being. It is
the word of the creator of the heavens
and the earth.
He sent it down to give comfort to
the believers.
When they read it, when they give it
time,
it changes their perspective.
They see things as the way Allah Subhanahu
Wa Ta'ala has meant for it to be.
Their worldview aligns with the worldview of the
Quran.
They see things as they should be and
this Quran is
It's noble, it's honorable, it's respectable,
it's high in status.
And these scholars they mentioned
that it's not just the Quran
but the one
who
lives
his or her lifestyle with as the Quran,
makes the Quran their guide,
implements the Quran the way it's meant to
be implemented,
then they also earn that status as well.
That they become honorable,
respectable.
They get that
elevated status with Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala because
of following His teaching.
That is guarded in the
sacred tablet,
preserved tablet.
And the last word, Mahfud
Where are grammarians
here?
What's the ending of the word?
Or
Alright? So that's 1. So if it's it
means the preserved tablet. But say it was
2 damma, it's one of different
styles of recitation has 2 damma.
What does the go back to?
It goes back to the Quran. Saying the
Quran is preserved.
It will never change. People will change. Societies
will change. Ideology will change. But the Quran
will never change.
This is the book that Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala sent for us.
For
eternal. Its relevance is just the same as
it was 1400 years ago, but we have
to give it to time
to be able to see that.
The underlying themes that these individuals went through
are the same themes that you and I
go through. The same themes that people around
the world go through.
But we have to pull it out
and apply it into our lives
to see the beauty of the Quran
and then make it our guiding light.
May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
forgive our sins.
May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala ease the sufferings
of Muslims all across the world. May Allah
Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala free Palestine.
May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala rectify the affairs
of the Muslims all across the world. May
He ease the suffering of the people in
China,
in Afghanistan,
in Syria,
in Sudan,
in
Congo. Everywhere people are going through difficulties, may
Allah
ease and alleviate their sufferings.
May Allah
give us the best in this world and
the next. May He allow us to live
the Quran to be people of the Quran
to make the Quran
our
compass
and may He unite us in the highest
level of firdos with the Prophet
If anyone has any questions, we could take
a few questions.
So
so brother had a question. He said when
the
the fire in the ditch,
Allah says
so one of the,
interpretations of that is
that when they threw the people in the
fire and they destroyed them, then Allah
made that fire come out and killed those
individuals. So the king and his people. So
the ones who carried out the punishment as
well.
Do I see questions?
Any questions from the sisters?
Alright, great.
May you guys have a good night inshallah.
Stay safe, drive safe inshallah, and we'll see
you next time.
