Developing a Quranic personality to be and what
not to be.
We are witnessing,
one of the knights
of Laylatul Qadr,
one of the knights of power.
And the prophet
instructed
us
to in Ramadan,
search for it,
for this night of power in the odd
nights of the last 10 nights of Ramadan.
So on the night of power,
we reflect on the source of power.
Allah
is the ultimate source of power,
a power that is infinite,
inexhaustible,
incomparable,
and all encompassing.
A power that is reflected
through Allah's magnificent creation,
through the celestial spheres that float in orbit,
and through
the operations of earthly life that sustains human
life and other life.
A power that is effected
through the processes and procedures of nature,
through the precision of the alternation in the
night and day,
through the variety of life forms that we
witness on earth,
and through the vast array of vegetation
and the multitudes of the beauties of creation,
through all of us, the power of Allah
is manifest.
And all these are but signs of Allah.
As Allah says in numerous ayaats in the
Quran, among which
and all it contains.
In the alternation of the night, with his
position.
Surely in all of this, there are signs
for those who have insight
and those who reflect.
All these
creation,
that which you witness and there are many
more that you don't witness,
reflect the majesty and power of Allah.
That powerful Allah who chose to commence
the final revelation,
which is summation of all the revelations that
came, an encyclopedia
of all the revelations that came from the
beginning of time through all the prophets.
Culmination in the mission of Rasulullah
and
that final revelation
commenced
on the night of Leir el Qadr, the
night of power.
That revelation which is pristinely preserved
in a book
which we have heard and which is recited
from memory of Binaid Masha'Allah. And they'll complete
the recitation insha'Allah
on the 29th night.
A book that contains ayaat
verses.
Verses with lasting commandments,
incontrovertible
proofs, proofs that cannot be denied.
And it contains the criteria and the standard
of the Quran
by which
we can judge
standard of distinguishing between
truth and falsehood,
between good and evil,
between right and wrong.
A criterion
that serves
as a source of guidance
for all of humanity
until the end of time.
So whether we reflect on nature,
The ayat, whether we look at the ayats,
the creation of the heavens and the earth
and ponder over that, or whether we look
at the ayat of the Quran,
the source of those ayats,
about the same.
It emanates from the same source. The ayat
which we reflect at 1, where the people
do examination of nature or operations the doctors
do.
All of these are but parts of the
creation of Allah. Different dimensions of the creation.
These are ayat and the Quran is ayat.
And these ayat all emanate, as you say,
from the same source. And it's through the
Quran that we are already and spiritually
connected to the power which is the source
of both ayaats.
And
to the light that is the guiding force
in the case of the Quran.
Therefore,
Allah is
nuhu samawwati wal'ala. Allah is light.
Light is a source of energy and energy
is power.
Allah
is the light of the heavens and the
earth. Be first without a beginning, the last
without an ending, without limitations.
And the Quran,
the light in the book that came down
from Allah. And without the light of this
ayah and that ayah,
Without these, there's neither right nor power.
We need to connect to the source of
power.
If we want to truly benefit from the
night of power,
then we need to connect to the source
of power
and the source of power,
which is also the source of enlightenment and
guidance.
That is for success in this world
and for success in the hereafter.
Let's ponder what we can do practically.
Allah
says to attain
that connection with a source of power,
we need to be deserving of the love
of Allah.
We need to be deserving of the love
of Allah. And Allah says in the Quran,
Say unto them, if you love Allah, then
follow the prophets.
And Allah will love you and forgive you
your sins for Allah is Most Forgiving,
most merciful and compassionate.
Allah, the all powerful loves.
If you want Allah's love, there are certain
things that Allah loves.
And if you do what Allah loves, Allah
will love you.
One of them is Ubaydul Rasoolallahu alaihi wa
sallam was the primary one.
But
Allah
says,
Allah loves those who turn to Him in
repentance
And he loves those who purify themselves inwardly
and outwardly.
Inwardly from all negative traits of jealousy, of
envy, of hatred, of negativity.
And also outwardly in how we look, in
how we act, and how we interact. Being
truthful, being honest, being compassionate.
All this is to purify ourselves.
Allah loves those who are just because all
prophets came to manifest justice.
Prophets came with guidance so that all of
humanity, not only Muslims, all of humanity may
live with justice. So we must be of
those who manifest justice.
Allah
loves those in the process of living. We
go through trials and tribulations,
which is the reality of life to patiently
persevere.
These are all verses in the Quran.
And,
under all circumstances,
in any situation,
all we should do what is good and
to do what is best.
Do what is best. Do what is good.
For Allah loves those who are the doers
of good.
And then to depend upon Allah.
Allah has avenues by which He assists us.
But ultimately the source
of guidance and help is Allah.
Depend and rely upon Allah. Allah loves those
who put their trust in Him.
Then of course, there is a the Muftaqim.
Taqwa is a standard by which Allah measures
human excellence.
It is the highest standard of human greatness
and none can evaluate taqwa except Allah himself.
And if we act with ahsan and manifest
sabr, and tawba, and pahara, and all of
this,
Allah loves those who are of the muttaqeen,
those who are righteous and those who are
pious.
These are those whom Allah
loves. These are means whereby we can be
connected to Allah through Ramadan and beyond Ramadan.
And hadith al Qudsi. Hadith al Qudsi
are thoughts inspired by Allah but conveyed in
the words of Rasulullah.
It's not revelation.
It's thoughts inspired by Allah but said by
the prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam and the
Rasool salallahu alayhi wa sallam. Allah says,
may Allah accept.
Allah says, when I love him,
I shall be
guiding his hearing with which he shall hear,
his sight with which he shall see,
his hands with which he shall act, his
feet and legs with which he will move.
And if he asks me anything, I shall
surely give it to him. And if he
seeks my protection, I will grant it to
him.
This night of power.
May we be of those worthy of Allah's
love.
May Allah, the all powerful,
empower us through His infinite mercy
and the powerful light of guidance from the
holy Quran, the light of the Quran which
is sent down on a night like this.
And may he forever
envelope us in his compassionate forgiveness and mercy.
We ask Allah in the words of the
prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Alaihi Wasallam, which he
prayed on these nights.
Oh Allah, you are the pardon of all
wrongdoings.
Oh Allah, you are most generous. Oh Allah,
you love to forgive. Forgive
us.
