We pray, as Allah, and ask his peace
and his blessings upon his servant and his
messenger, Muhammad, his descendants, his companions,
and upon all the righteous.
We are
always grateful to Allah
to be here
at Al Maqasid,
and
we always look forward to being passed over
but
masha Allah
it
alhamdulillah one of the things
that we were thinking about
is that
as you grow older,
you realize
your parents,
I mean
what a tremendous sacrifice they made for you.
You know, when you're a kid,
you take so much for granted.
You think the food just arrives on the
table,
and the clothes just arrive on your back
without
too much effort.
But when you grow older and you look
back,
you have tremendous
love for your parents because of what they
did
on your behalf.
Even when they didn't give you what you
wanted
you even realized the benefit of that
okay
and
so it is true
that when you look back at the messenger
and you realize the tremendous
sacrifice
that he made
if you read sort of to and
the to it
you realize the tremendous pressure he was under
constantly
from the disbelievers.
And Allah at the same time assuring him,
you know, and telling him to tell those
people.
And the kind of
tolerance he had to have to deal with
the
persecution
and the
efforts to humiliate him.
You know, you take someone
that was well regarded by his people,
and now you're trampling on him in the
mud.
And so the fact that
the Messenger of Allah
made these tremendous
sacrifices for us,
that he was always concerned
not to make things too difficult for us,
to avoid doing things
that he thought that Allah might make
obligatory for us.
And so his concern was for us
more so than our parents.
So
our love for him should be
tremendous.
And the more we
hear
about him
the more we think about
the great sacrifices
and the great love that he showed for
his
just not singing the casitas,
but
really
tuning in to what they're all about and
trying to grasp,
you know, this
love in our hearts for him and this
longing for him.
And this I didn't realize when when I
became Muslim, and
you know you have your years of just
trying to learn how to
pray and do what you're supposed to do,
but then
now you look back and you say
all of that was because he
sent that to me
by the grace of Allah
he sent it
to me by all of these people who
were teaching me
they all were
in some way connected back to him
and of course it was from Allah,
but it's all through him
that all of these people came into my
life
and they instructed me and guided me and
told me this about the prophet,
he prayed like this, he ate like this,
he did this, he did that, and at
the time you're just trying to copy and
do what you're supposed to do, but then
you realize
it was his love for me
that brought it all to me.
And so this,
you know, should make us more
loving
of the messenger of Allah
and the great bounty there is in loving
him.
And this was not stressed in the beginning
of the trip,
but now you see that it is an
essential part
of being able to go forward,
and that is that
we have this deep,
deep love for the Messenger of Allah and
what we're bringing about
is thinking about what He did for you,
all right, what he did for you personally,
yes he did for the Ummah, but what
he did for you personally
and then
it will breed in us more love for
him
And we ask Allah
to give us the love of the messenger
and give us a large
and
the righteous.
And we ask blessings on him, his family,
his descendants, and all the righteous until the
last day.
