Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
So one thing that I noticed that was
really somewhat of a sight tonight was that
there was a family that had never seen
an escalator before inside the puddle.
And the guards were literally trying to show
them how to use an escalator, telling them
not to be nervous because they'd never been
on an escalator before.
It was really humbling.
A lot of times when you bring people
here, especially from some of the wealthier areas,
they start to belittle some of the people
that are here.
And one of the beauties of Hajj and
Umrah is that it puts this entire ummah
on the same level.
And I know that sometimes we have a
tendency to think that, you know, those people
who don't know any better, maybe they're acting
in a certain way that you've never seen
before and you start to belittle them and
look down upon them, but you don't know
which one of them is a wali of
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, is a friend
of God.
It's important to understand that this ummah has
gems in it that are hidden and there
is forgivable ignorance sometimes, but sincerity that is
immeasurable to any other human being.
So when you see people here from all
over the world, you know, that are literally
using their life savings to get here, recognize
that that person might be greater in the
sight of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala than
you.
May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala bless this
beautiful ummah with all of its different colors
and all of its different backgrounds, all of
its different classes.
May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala bless it.
May Allah unite us.
May Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala make us
amongst his awliya.
Allahumma ameen.
Jazakumullahu khayran.
Wassalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
