the worst of the people. Once a man came to the Prophet said, Allahu Allah, he was salam. And this

			salam is making a very clear, he explained to us something very clear here. And he's saying that one
is to have a long life. But if that long life is backed up with good actions, then this person is
the best of the people. Why? Because it is common sense that when you have a long life and you're
doing the right things, you're able to do so much that you can please Allah subhanho wa Taala you
have you have more opportunities, and times in your life that you can please Allah subhanho wa
taala. And this is why it is something very important for us to understand that if there's one thing
that we all want, and something that we all make dua for is oh Allah give us a long life. But
		

			brothers and sisters is not always about the long life that is important. But it's about what we do
in our life, that is even more important. C long life or in life in itself is something that is
beyond our control. Allah subhanho wa Taala decides when we come in this dunya and when we will
depart from this dunya. So this is something that is beyond our control. And what we learned in our
deen is, do not focus so much on those things that are beyond your control. rather focus on those
things that are within your control. What is within our control is what we do with our life. Even a
majority document, Allah Allah, He gives a very beautiful example. He says, imagine a tree, he said
		

			this tree represents a year of your life. And then he says the branches on this tree represents the
months of that year. He then says that the branch sticks, so you have the major branch, and then you
have the smaller sticks. And he said those smaller steaks they represent the days of that month. And
then he says that they are the leaves on those branches. They represent the hours of that day. And
then he says the fruit that grows on these branches. They are they represent the breath, the air and
the oxygen that you and I we inhale and we exhale. And he says that if we breathe in obedience to
Allah subhanho wa Taala meaning that if we do our things that are pleasing to Allah, then the fruits
		

			are going to be sweet. But if we spend our life in disobedience to Allah subhanho wa taala, than
these fruits are going to be bitter. And then the most the punch line is what he says at the end. He
says the day of harvest will be in the hereafter on the Day of Judgment, meaning that on the Day of
Judgment, we will find if our fruit is sweet, that means that we did things the right way. If that
fruit is going to be bitter, that means that we did things the wrong way. So what's important to
understand is that it's not about the law, the length of our life, as much as it is about the
actions of our life. Now, I want to give you a few examples from the Sahaba of yellow Tryon home and
		

			our hola map. And this will actually teach us that these were people who use their time very wisely.
They never had a long life.
		

			They never had, you know, great amounts of time with Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa salam, but the
most important thing is what they did with their time. Let me give you an example. We all know a
name. Abu Hurayrah are the ultra iron. And if you ask any person, what is that one thing that you
know about Abu Huraira the yellow Tron, any person who has studied Islam will say they have narrated

			person who stayed with the province of Salah for so many years wrong. Abu Hurayrah or the Allah
Quran was only in the company of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam for three years. That is it.
Think about that. Let that sit in for a moment. Let that sink in. A man who was only with the
prophet for three years, narrated 5374 a hadith once again, he never had a long time with the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, but he was able to use his time wisely. We have Khalid bin
Walid or the yawata on a man that today when we say the word Khalid bin Walid, everyone knows about
his bravery. He you know how strong he was? How determined he was, how long did he provide his
		

			services to Islam, it was approximately 10 to 11 years And subhanAllah one beautiful thing that we
find about holidays, whether you allow time, is that his nickname was safe Allah Soheila it is
mentioned in some books. And some say that there you know, there's there might be some fabrication
to this, but it's just worth noting that once a person did ask him that, you know, subhanAllah your
friends, they died in the battlefield. They died fighting for the cause of Allah, but you are dying
on a bed. He says something very remarkable. He says that I am the sword of Allah. If I had died in
the battlefield, someone could claim that the sword of Allah was broken. The sword of Allah can

in the bed. Then you have people like Imam No, Allahu Allah till today we read his book or the other

			at the age of 24. And he began writing only in the last 12 to 13 years of his life, but in those
1213 years, how many books to hear right Subhanallah So brothers and sisters, it's not always about
having a long life. There is nothing wrong and ask him for a long life from Allah subhanho wa taala.
But at the same time, if we want to be of the best, is nothing wrong once again to have a long life,
but we have to back it up with right and righteous actions, actions that are pleasing to Allah
subhana wa taala. And let's just say if you don't have a long life, Allah does not give you a long
life in this dunya at least do something that people can benefit from your work and from your
		

			actions, even if you have passed away. So once again, the going back to the Hadith the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam if we want to be from the best people, the criteria is the actions if
the actions are good, inshallah we will be from amongst the best. Today we learn from bilateral

today we're talking about Imam now we were benefiting from his works today. Once again, do always
what's right, do something that can benefit others insha Allah and you will be from the amongst the
best. And God forbid if our actions are not good. It does not matter having a long life if our
		

			actions are not good, we will be from the worst of the people and I ask Allah subhana wa Taala to
not make us from amongst those. I ask Allah subhanaw taala to give us Baraka in our life. May Allah
subhanho wa Taala give you an eye the ability to do whatever life that we have to do what is right
to do that which is pleasing to Allah subhanho wa Taala and to do that, which people can benefit
from, I mean, noble Alameen till next time inshallah Desikan Malachite a salam Wa alaykum
