Salam aleikum wa rahmatullah heal but it will be sooner him or him 100 And those will be our living wa Salatu was Salam ala Rasulillah Muhammad wa ala alihi wa sahbihi Jemaine about. So as I mentioned a few weeks ago, they inshallah now we will not be necessarily going in chronological order regarding the story of Masada Hussam. But we will be jumping from major story to major story. And the last two weeks we talked about, Musa and Heather and we talked about some of the etiquettes in the Adam, of seeking knowledge and so forth. And I pray to Allah subhanaw taala that everyone is seeking knowledge in any capacity. May Allah subhanho wa Taala grant all of us if last Amira but
Allah mean, today, the story I want to share with you is the story of Musa alayhis salam and the cow and this is a very, very well known story it has been mentioned only once in the Quran and dies in subtle Bacara and hence inshallah we will also be discussing that why is it that sort of Bukhara is the longest surah in the Quran, it covers almost two and a half Jews of the Quran, Yet Allah subhana wa Tada, or as we see that the surah has been called Surat Al Baqarah. That also referred to as Surah, Al Baqarah. And there are so many stories that Allah has mentioned here in this in the Surah. Yet, the surah has been named after one particular incident to why so now, before we get into, as I
mentioned earlier, that we don't want to get so much into the story, as much as we want to get into the lessons and the reflections taken from the story. But at the same time, we have to understand what is going on here. Now, there are somebody who are yet that we find and some dolomit They say that these are some Israa Edd, why yet, I want to make that very clear. So that there's no, there's no misunderstanding here. But there are some rewired that we find that there was a father who owned a very beautiful yellow cow. And what happened was that he gave this cow to his son before he had passed away, and said that make sure you take care of this cow and so forth. And then some of these
rewired, they mentioned that this cow It was then later on his mother passed away before his mother passed away, his mother had instructed on the his her child, that this is a very special cow, it's a yellow cow usually don't find cows like this. And it has very suspicious you know, special features and so forth. So please make sure you take care of this cow did not make sure make sure you don't use his cow for labor purposes and so forth. And only only when people come and they're willing to really give you so much only then do you then sell this cow otherwise do not sell this cow on market value. Nonetheless, the son he basically was obedient to his parents, he upheld their request and
their honor and their wishes and he kept his cow now in the story of Musala he stopped we find that in the city of Masada Hassan where he was and so forth. The people beneath his saw in they had a lot of love for dunya that is one thing that we find that regarding these people, the the amount of love for dunya was just, I mean, you know, it cannot be described in words the love for dunya, jewelry, gold and so forth. It was so much there's so much so that means it many times they're willing to take people's lives for this for the sake of dunya and SubhanAllah. Let's stop here for a second thing about this. The reason why Allah subhanho wa Taala tells us about the stories of Bonita Star
II so that we as OMA of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam we learn from their stories, so that we don't do the same yet today. Subhanallah It is so sad. It is truly sad that today we look at the state of the affairs of our Ummah today and it's so sad that today for the sake of dunya for the sake of money, we cheat each other, we lie to each other, we we deceive each other, and Subhanallah there are even some cases where people have taken the lives of other people because of the sake of this dunya and if we are not going to learn from our past than whatever calamities Allah brought upon the period bunnies Saw ye Allah will bring upon us to as Madras wa salam. That's why it's so
important that we understand and learn from the stories. Now, what happened was that there was a very rich person and he had many nephews and he told his nephews that he will they will inherit his money. Once he passes away. However, one of the nephews they cannot wait for that time so they
You just move forward, and they killed their uncle. So this one nephew killed his uncle. And now you have this, this body, this corpse lying in the streets as some people they mentioned. And what happened was that they came to Musala Islam, and there was a lot of dialogue and there's a lot of discussion and a lot of accusations being thrown at each other. And then later on, they came to Musashi some and said, Yeah, Musa, what do we do in this kind of situation? Now Musa alayhis salam, he made dua to Allah subhanho wa taala. And Allah subhanho wa Taala said that in this situation, you should slaughter a cow, take a part of the cow and strike it on the dead person and this person will
come back to life, He will reveal the name of the person who committed this crime against him. And then he'll go back to being in a state of lifeless or he will be dead. And so the Musashi some came back to the people but he saw it and the Quran says wave wave kala Musa let o me in the La Jolla, Morocco and Baku Baqarah Paulo attack Elena who's on our old Billahi and aquaria Jaya honey. So here Musa alayhis salam he comes to the pupil bunnies saw eat and he says that Allah has already you to sacrifice a cow. Now what was the responsibility of saw eat? Instead of saying, Okay, we understand instead of saying somewhere now we're out on that we have listened and we have obeyed. We have
obeyed they what they did was that they went a step further. And in terms of the, the disrespect and in terms of their arrogance, and the set to Musashi is Suriname at attack either now who's like, Is this a joke to you? Like, are you joking around with us? Now? I mean, there's a lot of lessons to be learned from this inshallah we'll cover this at the end. But eventually Musala has some said, all the Billahi and Aquila Johannine. When it comes to these kind of matters, I will not fabricate information, I will not fabricate a message that comes from Allah subhanho wa taala. If I am telling you, if I'm telling you that this is a message from Allah, that this is truly a message from Allah,
and he says, I owe the Billahi and Aquila Johannine these are people clearly they're in the state of Jehovah. And I don't want to be associated with these people and Mussolini, some he's seeking refuge from from these kinds of people. Now of course the people have been the star II, they did not understand and learn their lesson and they start getting into the nitty gritty of the details of this animal. And the Quran tells us that first of all, Allah subhanho wa Taala told them follow the oil and Arabic obey Helena he called it you know, you're all in Bukhara to La Feridun will be gone. I won't be in America for follow my tomorrow. The Quran says that they asked they asked many
questions. And as a result, Allah Subhan Allah give them more details, Allah made it more difficult for them. Because Allah subhanaw taala is trying to send a message I told you to sacrifice a cow to purchase a cow sacrifice it take a part of the animal. The instructions are very simple. The order is very, very simple. Why can you know follow it? Now the fact that you're coming back and you're asking questions, and you think that Mussolini has some is being you know, he's making a joke out of this and he's making a mockery out of this. Now I'm going to really teach you a lesson and Allah subhanaw taala. First of all, he said that this cow should not be too old nor too young, but it will
be right between being old and being young. Again, they came back to Musala you some worry about the color. I mean, these are things that are absolutely unnecessary, completely unnecessary, yet but he is sorry, he kept on going down this path and because they kept on going down this path of arrogance and in Jahan iya, and so forth, and ignorance, ALLAH SubhanA wa Tada made this matter difficult upon them. And Allah subhanho wa Taala said there has to be a very bright yellow color that is pleasing to Soto now that in that anyone who sees it, it's appealing to that person, not a color that a person sees it and they want to turn their face away from it. Again. They came to Musala his son and
they began to ask more questions again Musashi, some he gave them more details about what kind of a cow this is. And there are then some rewired dimension that eventually they found this cow this cow, which this child as I mentioned the very beginning this child that he had this very bright yellow cow the people but he saw it in the found this person, they found the cow that he had, they came to him, they made an offer to him and he said no, I'm not going to sell it. I'm not gonna sell it. But eventually they paid him as some some Hadith and some several Mufasa rune rather they say that the poorer bunnies saw Eve because of the arrogance and ignorance and constantly asking questions,
unnecessary questions, Allah made this matter so difficult upon them that they had to end up paying 10 times more the amount then that of the market value of that cow. So eventually they bought that cow on the soldered it and not only that
but they were able to take a piece of that cow the struck on the dead person and the dead person basically said that one of my nephew's he's the one who took my life and then this person he went back to its his original state, but nonetheless, this is the story of the cow. Now, of course, as I said earlier, it is very important to understand that what are some of the things that we can learn from the story? The story is not the objective, the story is just one aspect, but what we need to understand is what can we learn from this so here, here are a few things that we can learn from this. The very first thing that we learn from this is the fact that Allah subhanho wa Taala
mentioned the story in sort of baccarat this the entire sutra, because of this one story is called a buckler. The question is why? And the answer is that when Allah subhanho wa taala, he mentioned certain Fatiha first Okay, in certain Fatiha, what did we cover Al hamdu lillahi rabbil aalameen, Allah subhanaw taala is the Arab. The fact that he is a Arab makes us what his slaves and that means that we're not His servant, were his slave. Because a servant provides a service. Just like when you go to work, you work, you may work for eight hours, 10 hours, and you have sometimes you work five days a week, sometimes you may work six days a week, but nonetheless, after those hours of your
shift, you don't you don't owe anything to that to the employer or anything of that type. Likewise, think about this. Imagine if we were just the servants of Allah subhana wa Tada mean that we were providing a service to Allah subhana wa Tada. That means that there will be some time the day that we are devoted to Allah and there are some parts of the day where that we are not devoted to Allah subhanho wa Taala that's why we don't call ourselves necessarily the servants of Allah subhanho wa Taala we refer to ourselves as the slaves of Allah subhanho wa Taala that we will do that which is pleasing to Allah subhanho wa taala. So having said that, having said that, when Allah says He is
the rub that makes us the slave, and that means that when the parts and one of the responsibilities that we have is to show our Ibadah in our booty to Allah subhana wa Tada to show our dedication, our commitment and our obedience to Allah subhanho wa taala. And the fact that Allah mentioned the story of the cow in sort of baccarat tells us a very powerful lesson, and that is that Allah is giving us an example, that what does it mean? Are let me This is Allah saying that let me give you a demonstration. Let me share with you a story of the people of the past the people but he saw Eve and how they, they did worship Allah they did obey Allah, but it was a very delayed response. It was a
very Delayed obedience. Rather, what does Allah want from us the Omar Rasuwa Salam, immediate response, Allah wants us to immediately come to him and respond to Him and be dedicated to him and to be obedient towards him. Not that things that become very difficult. And then we come to Allah subhanho wa Taala this is the case of many people, that they are not observant of Allah subhanho wa Taala and Allah talks about this in the Quran, he says, wait, I must sell inside of the IRA Legion Bihari then I'll call EMA. When afflictions come upon a person, then they begin to remember Allah day and night standing and sitting. And this is the case that we see so many times happening. And
then Allah says firm Krishna on hoorah maraca and maybe the owner eldery Messiah, however, when they are free from the calamity, then they forget about Allah subhanho wa Taala maraca Allah Mia, the owner of the Messiah, they become like of those people that know afflictions have ever had had ever occurred to them. So this is why this lesson the lesson is that when it comes to us being obedient to Allah subhanho wa Taala Allah wants us to be obedient to Him, be observant of him, Allah subhanho wa Taala wants us to show our dedication to him and show us that we are through our actions and we show that we are the slaves of Allah subhanho wa taala. And Allah wants us to do this at all times,
not only in the times of affliction and so forth. Another thing that we learn from the story is the arrogance of Benissa Ian and the reason why once again ALLAH is talking about this is because Allah is telling us that Allah Allah rasool Allah Azza wa sallam, they you don't be arrogant like the people beneath it. Now think about how arrogant do you have to be that Allah subhanho wa Taala is addressing these kind of people in the Quran. First of all, they were saved from the people from from Fidel, and now I want you to think about this. I mean, really think about this. If you were if I you or any one of us, we were part of that group. Imagine seeing with your own eyes that fit on
such a powerful entity at that time. No one was a dare stand up to fit on and so forth. Yet fit on Allah has destroyed fit on right in front of you. You will not have any doubt
About Musa Musa in some sense something you believe in 100% You believe in it 100% That's the way it is. But at the same time we find that first of all the saw the witnessed the destruction of Fidel and then after that Allah subhanaw taala gave them Mundo acelera. And Allah subhanaw taala has gained them blessing after blessing and so forth. And now that Musashi ism comes to them and says do this and they're saying, you're making a joke out of this, are you making a mockery of us and so forth. This is called arrogance thinking that you are above the law thinking that you are above the orders of Allah subhana wa Taala brothers and sisters, if we have arrogance in our heart, we think
that I am above and beyond the Quran I am above and beyond the Sunnah of Rasulullah sallallahu it was sending them then we are following the footsteps of bunnies stop eat and today's Subhanallah it is sad. It is truly sad that today there are people who have made a mockery of the Quran. They have made a mockery of the Sunnah of Rasulullah saw Salam o we are in the 21st century. You know forget about the Quran. Forget about the Sunnah there are people who are saying these kinds of things. Now all the way na we even during this time we follow the Quran even during this time, we follow the Sunnah of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. So that's why we cannot be arrogant we cannot be
whenever it comes to Allah when it comes to Prophet, sunnah. We obey them and we follow their footsteps. Also, we find part of their arrogance think about this too, whenever they would come to Musashi Assam What did they say? Oh, look, do hola now, Rob Baca ask your Lord. I mean, if a person was truly a slave of Allah subhanho wa Taala you don't say that oh Musa asked your Lord you rather you will say or Musa. ask ALLAH ask our Rob, what do we do? Because Musa is the one who has a connection with Allah subhanho wa taala. But think about how arrogant do you have to be that no matter all that you have seen, no matter all you have witness, and you're still referring to Allah
as your knob, referring to Allah subhana wa Taala in such a way that he's not the you're not associated with him and you're not connected to him. This is the arrogance of the people beneath you stop it. And remember, when we show arrogance to Allah when we show arrogance to the Sunnah of the Prophet, Allah, when Allah will bring calamities upon us. And we see from the story, they asked questions, you're not supposed to ask questions kind of in this kind of matter. The order is very simple, take any cow you want, sacrifice it and so forth. But no, they want to go into the nitty gritty, this is probably the arrogance of their ignorance. And as a result, Allah subhanho wa taala,
he made something so simple, he made it so difficult upon them because of their arrogance. And And lastly, what we learned from this is that in this story, as we find that,
that the owner of the yellow cow and think about this, I mean, you have the the parents of the owner of the yellow cow, we have, you know, a young man, who's the owner of the yellow cow, and so forth. But the lesson to be learned from this is that the parents were obedient, their parents were good people and so forth. And as a result, think about only one commodity that this person had one, you know, one valuable thing that this person he had, and he ended up selling it 10 times more as some of the books they mentioned 10 times more than what the market value had had for this cow. And so that one of the lessons that we learned from this is that if the parents are truly devoted to Allah
subhanho wa Taala and if they are truly dedicated to Allah subhanho wa Taala in sha Allah, Allah Inshallah, Allah will take care of their children, even even if they have passed on. And this is something that as parents, you know, living in America, and so forth, we have no idea what the future is going to be like, and so forth. We're always concerned about our children. We're always concerned about what's going to happen to my children and so forth. If we were to be gone and so forth. Then remember that even this happened, the story of Masada, you saw even before is the story of Musa haga that he was able to erect that wall. And what did he say? He says, what kind of doctor
Wilkins in Lahoma? What kind of Whoo hoo marsali Ha, that I was protecting the wealth, the fact that a law put in the heart of huddle to for to erect a wall to protect the valuable items to protect the treasure and meet this wall for the two orphans, whose father whose father is a righteous person, what can I believe him I saw the HA that is proof in itself that when parents are righteous, when they are dedicated to Allah subhanho wa taala, the customer making dua for their children and they're doing righteous things in sha Allah FINMA in sha Allah, Allah would take care of their children, even after they have passed on. So
If we want Allah take care of our children. Yes, I'm not saying that do not educate them, educate them well in sha Allah get you know make sure that they have a good degree, you know they have good high education so forth, all that is in his place. I'm not negating one those things, but at the same time, their priority should be that I am dedicated to Allah subhanho wa taala. And as a result, if I do this in sha Allah, Allah will take care of my children even after I have passed on. I ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to give us the ability to learn from the stories and once again, there's so many stories in the Quran. Inshallah next week, we'll also go through another story of Musa alayhis
salam. This is the story of Musa and Qarun. And so we know that you know, Phil only had two associates, two main primary associates, one was Hamas and one was padrone and sort of cusses actually talks about Qarun and how Allah gave him so much, and what the Mussolini's I'm asking for and what was his response, and so forth. Inshallah, we'll talk about Musa Maccarone Inshallah, next week, I ask Allah subhanaw taala to give us ability to understand the stories to take a less lesson from them and they may Allah subhanaw taala give us ability to spread these lessons and reflections to other people so that they may come closer to the word of Allah subhanho wa taala. I mean, no, but
