I noticed that during that event, there were a lot of discussions about names, like when Eunice Alia

the lots or drew the names, and so forth? And who was the one who actually threw universalism into
the water and so forth? There is so many names that is mentioned. And sometimes people may feel
that, you know, well, why doesn't the Quran mentioned so much names either, just like is mentioned
the Bible and so forth? The reason why is because it is irrelevant to the reader. How does it
		

			benefit a reader? If you know the name of the person who did such and such? So who came to Musa
alayhis salam that is irrelevant to us? What is his name that is irrelevant to us. While we all need
to know is at the bare minimum is there was a person who came to give this advice to Musa alayhis
salam. So this is why we find this very common in the Quran. This is why even in the Quran, even out
of all the Sahaba are always have a we only find one person's name Zaid, that's it. Only Z's name
		

			has been mentioned out of all the women that are that are have been mentioned. Usually we find Imran
Imran imra only one time only one name we find actually in the Quran in various places. And who is

even having you know, even non Muslim friends, there is nothing wrong in having non Muslim friends
either what the Quran actually tells us that when it comes to religious, religious advice, we cannot
take them as our own. Yeah, in the sense that our religious advisors and preachers and so forth, and
let them come and have such an impact upon us, that we give up everything. That is what the Quran is
		

			saying that we cannot have those kinds of friends, but if I just have a person I know they're just
friends and so forth, we keep it you know, very civilized, you know, you know, there are limits to
their friendship, there is nothing wrong and having friends of that type. But then the second thing
that we need to understand also is that what kind of friends what type of friends should we have
around us? You know, subhanAllah there is so much that is mentioned even in the Quran, there is so
		

			much that is mentioned in the Sierra and in the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
And what we learned from all those is that the friends that you should seek out our friends that
have few certain qualities, for example, number one is that they should be sincere. If they have
this friendship with you, their friendship should be sincerely for the sake of Allah subhanho wa
taala. You say lie in a hate Allah, I say La either hate Allah, this brings us together, we are
		

			close to each other. Our friendship should not be based on worldly gain. It should not be based on
materialism. Today, we have friends, why? Because I want his resources or I want her resources and
so forth, and I can benefit from them. And the people that we feel like that, you know, they can
never be helpful to us. We don't even look at them. We don't even pay attention to them. And we
don't even want to, you know, say salam to them and so forth. That is not what our deen teaches us.
		

			be connected to people, be friends with people only for the sake of Allah subhanho wa taala. Number
two is that whoever you are befriending making sure that they have religion in their life. They
understand Allah, they understand Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi salam, they respect the orders of
Allah subhanho wa Taala they apply Deen in their life, there is a certain level of religiosity in
their life. That is also something that we need to make sure when we befriend someone else, number
		

			three, so the very first one was it was sincerity. Number two is religiosity number three is highly
preferable if they are knowledgeable, why if they are knowledgeable and they are sincere, then
inshallah they can teach you and they can guide you the right way. Number four, they should have
carried her in a headlock. Even before Islam came, the Prophet SAW Selim, he exhibited noble
character, a person can have all these other things, but if they don't have character, they're
		

			missing a key ingredient of the personality of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam. So this is why
character is also very important. And the last thing is that when it comes to friends, and when it
comes to, you know, other people around you, making sure that you know who to take advice from, and
when to take advice. That Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam brothers and sisters taught us very
beautifully. There are times when he took the counsel of all of his Sahaba, for example, right
		

			before the battle trenches, he took everyone's opinion why? Because this is something that the
Muslims are going to be engaged with. And this is going to impact everyone. The problem was some he
included everyone. He talked to everyone. And this is something that's very important today. You
know, you find people that they will counsel and they will take the counsel of others. But at the
same time, they will take the counsel of only those people that they like. So one is to take
		

			counsel, at the same time, take the counsel of everyone, whether you agree or you don't agree or you
like them, you don't like them. But the problem is I'm taught us that there were times when he took
the Council of everyone. And there were times when he took the Council of only few Sahaba of the

number five, there are times when you go and you seek their counsel. And not only that, but if
you're seeking their counsel, they should have the skills to provide that counsel, if you're taking
their counsel, and they have no experience in giving counsel, why would you go to that person and
take you know, take advice from them. So these are few things that we want to keep in mind when it
		

			comes to having friends or befriending someone else. The next thing that we learned from this is
what did Musa alayhis salam do? He is fearful absolutely fearful he does not know this person could
be one of the people fit on this person could be one of the people who fill out because once again
they're not after him to catch him and capture you know capture him and take him away. The Quran
says that this man is telling Musa that a group of people are talking about a capturing you and
		

			killing you and then they will fit out anything else you know that you know we captured Musa you
know he did something to himself or you know he committed suicide they could give any story to fit
around as they wish and fit on probably will accept it and believe it but these people are out there
to come and kill you. So Musala ism Of course as as naturally as anyone would he is scared. So what
did he do? He asked Allah subhana wa Tala for protection. And the reason why I'm bringing this up is

have misbehaving or doing wrong to someone or being misbehaved with or someone misbehaving with you.
Or someone doing wrong to you.
		

			Oh, ugly, my overlimit. I seek refuge in You Allah subhanho wa Taala from abusing or oppressing
someone else, or being the victim of oppression or abuse. And then finally Oh Agia Hola. Hola. Hola,
LA, of acting ignorantly with someone else, or being the victim of someone else's ignorance. This is
a dua the Prophet sallallahu Sallam Allahumma inni are odd because of the law. Oh, Allah. Oh asila

that if you ever leave your house, always make this dua, you could come across anyone who can act
with you ignorantly or who can misguide you, or who can be abusive towards you, or that can you
know, or you know, do anything wrong to you or act in nearly with you. And what you are doing is
that you are asking Allah subhana wa Taala for his protection at all times. And this was a sunnah of
		

			the Prophet SAW Selim. Whenever he would go out of his house, he will recite this dua. So that's why
always keep in mind that when you leave your house next time, please read this dua. Finally, the
last thing that we learned from all this is when Musa Islam, he's saying yeah, he says Robin at
Gmail on your volume in and Allah says, Well, I'm the one call Medina call asabi. And yeah, at the

Allah will help us today. You know, we think that I need to see a sign
		

			I am from Allah subhanho wa Taala I've made dua to Allah but I don't know if Allah has answered my
prayer or has he ignored my prayer. I don't have a sign I've not seen a sign and so forth. Brothers
and sisters when it comes to our relationship with Allah subhanho wa Taala Our job is to pray to
Allah Our job is to supplicate to Allah. Our job is to is to advocate to Allah subhanho wa Taala and
plead to Allah and make dua and Allah does not necessarily have to send us a sign if we see
		

			something in our life higher Alhamdulillah but it is not necessarily true that Allah will
necessarily send you a sign. And if you don't see a sign that is not a sign that Allah has not
responded to you or Allah has not you know, he is not he does not care about your DUA Allah listens
to all of our requires the help of Allah subhanho wa Taala will inshallah come but we have to have a
lot of optimism and hope in Allah subhanho wa taala, just like your Musala you some I said don't be

subhanaw taala did indeed guide him to the right path. He had that that hoping Allah, Allah
