worship? Does he benefit fine worship or not? Because their idea or their logic was that if I don't
worship Allah subhanho wa Taala he is still okay without me. And if I do worship him, he's still the

			another comment I've heard so much that Islam takes the fun out of life. Islam does not provide

wa sallam. But nonetheless, first of all, we have to understand that when it comes to a servant, and
		

			when it comes to a slave, there is a difference, there is a very clear difference. See, a servant
provides a service. When you go to work, you are providing a service, though you may call yourselves
an employee, and there is an employer, but you are nonetheless a servant of that organization, you
are a servant of that company. When it comes to a contract, for example, between you and your
employer, you can dictate your terms, the employer says that you have such and such skill sets, this
is how I want to use you This is how I want you to use your skill sets to help us and help our
company. And what do you do you say that you know what, these are my terms, I want this day off or
		

			that day off. And I want to work this many hours on that many hours. And not only that, but then the
most important thing we always dictate is the pay. We always talk about the pay, and this is how
much you want and so forth. But nonetheless, the point is that you as a person, you are the person
who's about to become the employee, you get to dictate your terms. And when you dictate your terms,
you have a full right to deny anything that they want to say if you say I want to walk out and I
don't want this job, you have full right to do so if you aren't you have if you have taken the job
and down the road, you feel like this job is not a good a good fitting for you and your schedule and
		

			your finances, that you can find something else and you can relieve yourself from that contract. And
not only that by a person who provides a service, you provide a service for some hours of the day
and the rest of the day that time is for you. That is what you call a servant. But we have to
realize we're not only servants to Allah subhanho wa Taala because a slave on the other hand, we are
the slaves of Allah subhanho wa Taala a slave on the other hand is owned by someone else. And that
means that everything that is associated with that human being that is also
		

			owned by the other entity. And in this case when it comes to us as being the slaves of Allah,
everything is owned by who, by Allah subhanho wa taala. That means that everything that we have,
whether it's our time, whether it's our health, whether it's our capacities, or our abilities, or
the money that we have are the families that we have, what ever we have. Allah subhanho wa Taala
tells us and he's the one who dictates the terms, not we, when we feel like that I can dictate the
terms then that is, that is a time when we are no longer the state of Allah subhanho wa Taala if I
want to be a true slave to Allah subhanho wa Taala that I need to understand that I cannot dictate
		

			the terms when people say imagine going to work and you're supposed to be paid at the end of the
month and you don't get paid for one month. You don't get paid for two months, what do you do, you
will easily walk out on that job, you will tell your boss that you know what you haven't paid me on
time, you haven't paid me for my services, I don't owe you anymore and he will not have a right to
say anything to you. Because he has not held up his end of the bargain when it comes to Allah

			worship today. We are not in that position to say that to Allah subhanho wa Taala because once
again, a slave has never been in that position to begin with. So that is why the very first thing is
we have to mentally change our mindset. We have to think differently, that we're not someone who is
a servant to Allah, yes, we provide we do our salawat and so forth, we do already better for Allah

understand that we are not in a position to dictate our terms with Allah subhanho wa Taala because
we are the slaves of Allah subhanho wa taala. And just like when it comes to the example I gave of
not being paid on time, when it comes to us, we're not in a position to say Allah subhanaw taala
that I will not do for you because you did not do for me. Once again, brothers and sisters, I've
said this before, the our relationship with Allah is not a contractual one is not something that I
you do for me and I do for you. Allah subhanho wa Taala has told us very clearly that he's not in
		

			need of our worship.
		

			Now that we have understood that we are the slaves of Allah subhanho wa taala. The question then
comes is, then why is Allah subhanho wa taala. So much in need of our worship? We have to first of
all understand that Allah subhanho wa Taala is unlike any other possessor of power and authority on
this earth. When you look at every single person who has authority right now.
		

			The people choose when it comes to, for example, we had elections recently, people who are not in a
position of authority in any capacity is the people who decide whether they will be in the position
of authority or not. People who are incumbents now, they were no longer they were no longer re
elected. It happens on Earth. But the point is the Allah subhanho wa Taala is not like them. Allah
subhanho wa Taala is such an authority that whether we accept it or not, Allah subhanho wa Taala is
the one who's in authority and
		

			People they can decide who they like or who they don't like. If people get together and they want to
overthrow a government, they can overthrow government. If people get together and they want to
remove someone from power, they can remove someone from power. But Allah subhanho wa Taala is the
only power that no matter how much people like or dislike, no one can remove Allah subhanho wa Taala
from his power and from His position of authority, and that is why we refer to Allah subhanho wa
Taala as Allah Aziz Aziz, if you pick up any translation of the word Allah Aziz, it will say, the
one who has mighty and the one who has power, but it's not only might in power, which makes Allah
		

			subhanho wa Taala unique, because the word as Aziz implies power, and it means respect. Also, there
are people if you don't want to respect them, you don't respect them, but they will have power. On
the other hand, there are people who do not have power but they have authority. On the other hand,
Allah subhanho wa Taala is Allah Aziz? Whether we accept or not, Allah subhanho wa Taala cannot be
and will never ever be removed. In fact, when the time comes, the day of judgment and everything
will collapse. At that time, Allah subhanho wa Taala will say limonene we'll call Yom today is there
anyone who has power besides Allah, and when there will be no response? Allah He himself was ruled

rather the patient will benefit from it. Think about a child, when a child is reading a book, does
that literature benefit from that child reading? Or does that child benefit from that literature,
the literature will remain there till the Day of Judgment, but it's the child that will benefit
		

			likewise, when ALLAH SubhanA wa Taala tells you and I, every single command brothers and sisters, if
you actually feel the Allah is taking away the fun out of life, and why is it so I'm doing this and
why did it Some say this is haram and this is haram and this is haram. It's haram because Allah
knows that it's, it's harmful for us. Allah will not tell us to stay away from something just
because he feels like it. But Allah knows within his own infinite wisdom, that this is not good for
us from top to bottom, every single thing that Allah has made haram, there's a reason for that. And
the reason is to protect us. Allah cares up for us. He wants to protect us. He wants us to live in a
		

			happy lifestyle. So Allah subhanho wa Taala is telling us hence you should do it this way. And
remember brothers and sisters, that Allah subhanho wa Taala Allah subhanho wa Taala when he makes
all these rules, once again, it is there so that you and I can be happy. Allah does not Allah is not
he does not gain happiness out of this. It is we that we become happy. When Allah says in the Quran,
whoever does righteous deeds, and they are men or women. Allah says for the North Korean who hired

			through a happy life. Remember, every single person will have to go through difficulties. This is

have to also go through difficulties, but a believer is a one who has difficulties in their life.
But Allah subhanho wa Taala makes it easy for them to work and navigate around those difficulties.
But a person who is far from Allah subhanho wa Taala Allah, they will have the same amount of
difficulties, but they won't be able to navigate around those, they will not be able to navigate
around those difficulties. So the most the second most important thing is Allah subhanho wa Taala
		

			asks us to worship Him, not because ALLAH SubhanA wa Taala needs it but because
		

			Allah subhanho wa Taala he wants to benefit us, Allah subhanho wa Taala will not enforce something
good upon us. But Allah will say, I want to see your commitment. I want to see your loyalty when we
show our loyalty to Allah subhana wa Tala, even if it's not at the highest magnitude, but when we
show a little commitment to Allah Subhana Allah to Allah, Allah subhana wa Taala he does much more
for us. The next important thing is that, as I said earlier, the question is, Islam takes the
freedom out of everything is some takes the fun of everything. We have to understand brothers
sisters, when either you are a slave to Allah subhanho wa Taala or you are a slave to your show what
		

			simple as that. Either you are a slave to Allah, or you are a slave to your show what if you are a
slave to your show what society tells us do whatever you want to do society today's go ahead and

your shower. And by the way, the society causes freedom, they tell you, you want freedom, you should
always go for freedom. Do not let do not let religion tell you what you can do what you cannot do,

when we run after that which the society calls freedom, you are actually enslaved to the society.
When the society says stand up, you will stand up, when the society says Sit down, you will sit
down, when the society says get rid of this, whatever you have, you will get rid of it, you have

what's today Normal will tomorrow become abnormal. So hence, you have no more feelings for yourself.
You cannot even do whatever you want to do anymore. And why? Because you have become a slave. They
call it freedom, but you have become enslaved to the society and hence you cannot do whatever you
want anymore. On the other hand, when you become a slave to Allah subhanho wa taala. On the other
hand, when you say I submit to Allah subhanho wa Taala then that is when that is true freedom. Why?
Because Allah does not change his terms. Allah subhanaw Doesn't say today I want you to do this, or
		

			tomorrow I want you to do this. But Allah subhanaw taala has made it so clear for us, this is all
that I want from you. And subhanAllah What was amazing about this brother and sisters is how much
Allah is willing to give us how many blessings Allah has given you and I for what Allah is asking us
