And I bear witness that Muhammad, sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam, is the seal of the prophets
and the final messenger to all humanity.
Whomever Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, guides, there is
none to misguide.
And whomever Allah, Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, needs to
go astray,
there is none to guide.
Allah Subhanahu Wa'ala
never swears in the Quran
with the life of any human being or
a prophet except the prophet,
the Surah,
insha'Allah.
So today, inshaAllah, we'll talk about the special
qualities of the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.
We'll mention 4 of them briefly, and there
are many many of them. And several books
have been written on this topic. So I'll
talk only about 2 qualities in this life
and 2 qualities in the next life.
So the first quality for the prophet SAWSALAM
in this life the first characteristic
that makes the prophet salaam
special and more unique than other prophets is
the universality
of his messages.
So every prophet, according to the Quran,
was sent to his own people.
Shuay
was sent to his people.
Salah to his people and so on and
so forth. Every single prophet was sent to
his own people. But when it comes to
the prophet, salah al salam, Allah says,
we have sent you, Muhammad,
as a mercy to all of mankind, as
a mercy to all of humanity.
That not a single previous prophet before me
got any of these. This what makes me
special. And one of them, the prophet
said is
that every prophet was sent to his own
people, but the prophet was sent to all
humanity.
The second reason or the second quality of
the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam is that
he came as a mercy
to all
In the previous nations, as we read in
the Quran, if someone committed a major sin,
a major sin, like worshiping the calf in
the Surat Al Baqat, a badatil 'il.
The only way for them to repent was
to kill themselves, to kill one another.
But in Islam, if you commit a major
sin,
the only thing you need to do is
raise up your hands and say, oh, Allah
forgive me, and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will
forgive me.
Hafta wa'ilaa mala adhuluqa'ana
nasama.
Even if your sins go the distance between
the heavens and the earth and you ask
no one to forgive you, he will forgive
you.
And
also
in the field of purification in the previous
nations.
If an impurity falls on the cloth of
the person,
the only way to purify him at that
time was to cut it off and patch
it.
But in Islam, the prophet salallahu alayhi wa
sallam tells us, all you need to do
is just wash it or scrub it, and
it will be clean.
The prophet
made everything
beneficial
haram for us, and he made everything harmful
haram for us.
With regard to non Muslims,
the prophet,
salam, orders in several authentic ahadith
to be just and to be kind and
courteous and nice to them
as long as they're not fighting and killing
us. And the prophet, salam, made it prohibited
for Muslims to harm non Muslims.
We read in Surah Al Hash,
chapter 60 verses 8 and 9, that Allah
says that he does not prevent us prevent
us Muslims
from dealing
kindly
with courtesy with non Muslims who don't fight
us or kick us out of our homes.
Allah
loves those who deal with equity.
Even in the battlefield,
The
prophet tells us in this hadith, authentic one
is saying Muslim Dawood,
depart in the name of Allah.
Don't kill a child or a woman or
an old man, and don't mutilate the bodies
of dead enemies,
But be courteous and gracious. This is what
the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam says.
We are told in a hadith that the
prophet says that a man will go to
Jannah because he gave water to a dog
in the desert.
We are told in a hadith that the
prophet
said that a lady would go to the
helfa because she
imprisoned a cat in the house. She never
gave her food or drink until it died.
The prophet
prohibited
sitting animals on each other to kill each
other. The prophet prohibited
hitting animals with arrows to take them as
target while they are alive. He says it's
haram. Don't do it.
Bull fights are haram in Islam because you
kill animals. The only two times in Islam,
in filth, you are allowed to kill an
animal
is if you want to eat it or
if you want to defend yourself.
Even when you take an animal to slaughter
it for al khaia or to eat it,
you have to treat it in the best
way. You have to be merciful.
You sharpen your knife to treat it nicely
even when you are going to kill it.
Which make him unique, is the shafa'ah in
the next slide. Intercession.
And the greatest shafa'ah, because we are told
in the books of hadith, the prophet salawasalam
will make shafa'ah several times on the day
of judgement.
They listed 8 different shafa'ahs or intercessions that
the prophet shafa'ah will do. The first one,
shafa'ah.
So people will be moved away from the
place of assembly, Ardal Maqshab,
after standing there for 50,000
years.
And every time the people will go to
a prophet asking them to make shafa'ah so
the judgement will begin,
every prophet will run away and will say
go to someone else. Eventually, they'll go to
the prophet
and he will make sujood and ask Allah
so the judgement will begin. Then Allah
will say, oh, Muhammad, raise up your head.
Ask whatever you want. Whatever you ask for
today is granted.
The second shafa'ah, the prophet
will make shafa'ah for Muslims to go to
Jannah. He will knock on the door of
Jannah, as reported in Sahih Muslim.
Then the keeper of the gate of Jannah
will say, who is it? Who is knocking
on the door? So So the prophet
will say, it's me, Muhammad.
So the people will say, is that you?
Because I was told by Allah
not to open for anyone the door of
Jannah before you. So it will be the
first ones to enter. And your Ummah, your
nation, will be the second after you.
The prophet
will also make shafa'ah for some Muslims
who were destined
after judgement to go to the hellfire so
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will protect them from
the hellfire. So they don't go. They don't
fall in there.
The
4th type, the prophet would make shafa'ah for
sinful Muslims.
Those who will go to the hellfire to
be punished for some time, to take a
whooping for their misdeeds in this life, then
the prophet will make for them and all
of them will be removed
from the hellfire by the shafa'ah and the
barakah of the prophet
so not a single Muslim will stay in
the hellfire forever.
The 4th one, and this is the last
one for today,
the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam
will have his will make the majority of
the people in Jannah. The prophet sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam in Jannah will have more followers
than any other prophet whatsoever.
The prophet
says in Anuzatul Khadim, the Bukhari and Muslim,
the nations and the prophets were presented to
me on the day of judgement.
So I have seen a prophet
with a number of people, a bunch of
people following the prophet. He gave them the
message. Some accepted, so he would take them
to jail. Then I have seen a prophet
with a couple of people with him. All
the 2 people accepted his message.
And I see a prophet with only 1
person who accepted his message. And I see
another prophet with nobody at all with him.
He went to the people, gave them dua,
and nobody accepted. So the prophet came on
the day of judgement by himself.
Nobody behind him. Then the
prophet will say, I looked in the horizon,
and I see,
millions and millions of people blocking the horizon.
And I looked on the other side, and
I saw billions and billions of people blocking
the outer horizon. And I was told, oh,
Muhammad,
rejoice.
This is your ummah. So this gives us
hope, and we ask Allah
to give us the shafa'ah of the prophet
salaam in the next life. And we ask
Allah
to help us follow the prophet
to follow his sunnah and his guidance, and
to give us sincerity in everything we say
and do.
