Mustafa Khattab – How the Prophet PBUH Responded to Attacks 2

And I be with this Muhammad, salallahu alayhi

wa sallam, peace be upon him, is the

seal of the prophets and the final messenger

to all humanity.

Whomever Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala guides, there is

none to misguide.

So today, inshallah, we'll continue talking about

the mercy and the forgiveness of the prophet

sallallahu alaihi wa sallam to those who attacked

him and abused him at this time. And

this comes in response

to the intimidating movie that came out about

10 days ago, attacking the prophet

and vilifying him.

So we are told in the, Hadith and

Bukhary

that the prophet

never ever retaliated

for himself. When people attacked him, he would

never retaliate

and take revenge. He never did it. Only

when the rights of Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala,

were violated.

That the people of Mecca, the disbelievers at

the time of the prophet, salaam alayhi, salaam,

they used to call the prophet, salaam, which

is the disbiased and the disgraced one. And

the meaning of the prophet, salaam, his name,

Mohammed in Arabic, is the praised one. So

So they were calling you by the opposite

of his name. So the prophet

said, they are cursing the despised one

and on the praised one.

They're calling talking about and

I'm Muhammad. They're talking about someone else. They're

not talking about me.

So attacks on the

prophet came

at the time of the prophet,

mostly from, you know, some of those who

disbelieved in his message, but some

Muslims also

abused the prophet,

but he was also forgiving to all of

them.

In this authentic story in Silat Ibn Shan,

the biography of the prophet,

so he said, when the city of Medina

surrendered to the prophet

after so many years

of persecuting Muslims and killing some of them,

the prophet

took over the city.

And they couldn't possess because he amassed an

army of 10,000 soldiers.

But he took over the city peacefully and

he issued

a universal

amnesty so he didn't punish anyone.

So this man, Fudar Imam, he was a

at the time.

While the prophet was was circling the

so he said, I'm gonna go to him

and stab him to death.

So he hid and dank him in his

clothes, and he was making tawaf around the

Kaaba, and he was thinking how he was

going to attack the prophet,

either to hit him in the chest or

the neck. He was thinking.

All of a sudden he found the prophet

right in front of him. And the prophet

said, oh, hold on. What are you thinking

about right now?

Whatever you're thinking about, you will not be

able to do it. So the man was

stunned.

So the prophet

prayed for him, and he put his hand

on his heart, and he made dua for

him.

So the man said, as soon as the

prophet

removed his hand from my heart, nothing on

earth has become more belonging to me than

him, and he accepted his life.

So in this authentic hadith and Bukhay al

Muslim I'm giving a couple of examples of

how some Muslims also,

Yahya abused, and they were disrespectful

to the prophet

at this time, but he also forgave them.

In this authentic hadith, Anas al N Malik

said, I was walking with the prophet, SAW,

and he was, dressed up in, a very

coarse and rough,

piece of cloth. So this man came to

him and pulled him from his cloth, and

it lift a mark on the prophet's neck.

And the man started yelling at the prophet

and said, give me some of the food

you have,

on my 2 camels. I'm gonna carry them

on my camels because this food is not

yours and it is not your dad's.

It is from Allah.

So the

prophet said, yes. This food and this money

belongs to Allah and I'm his servant, but

we're gonna discipline you for your, transgression, for

what you have done and what you have

said. So the man

said, you can't. You can't discipline me. Guy

is a big shot from a big tribe

or something or he had a clutching coat

somewhere in his garage or something. Why the

prophet can't discipline him? He said, you can't

discipline me

because you are the prophet of Allah. You

don't respond to evil by evil. You respond

to evil by doing good.

So the prophet

smiled, and he loaded his 2 camels with

barley and dates. And this is in Bukhari

and Muslim.

And Muslim.

And this,

piece of gold came from Yemen as a

charity to the prophet, so he gave it

to 4 people who, Yani, accepted Islam recently

to strengthen their faith and their

heart. So

another man who was not given a piece

of Iqbal

came to the prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam

and said, have taqwa of Allah, You Rasulullah.

Fear of love

Allah. Fear Allah. Adam Mitchell. So

the prophet, salam, says, who would have fear

of Allah if I don't have fear of

Allah? I'm the prophet of Allah. So I'm

I'm

mindful of Allah, Subhanahu wa ta'ala, at all

times. So when the man left,

the prophet didn't do it in a day

oh, prophetullah,

let me chop his head off because of

prophet, salaam, says, leave him alone. Maybe he

prays.

So the salah made Shafa'a for them. So

Farid al Nudib then said, oh, Praful Allah,

some people say something and there's something else

in their minds. So So the prophet, salam,

said, I have not been,

commanded to split people's hearts or cut people's

hearts open and look inside their hearts. I

judge people by their appearances and what is

in their hearts is up to Allah Subhanahu

Wa Ta'ala. Does Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala

And some of the attacks on the prophet,

sallallahu alaihi wa sallam come from,

tiny minority of some non Muslims in the

west.

But this this is not an indication of

the whole situation. There are some Muslims

who have used the memory of the prophet

sallallahu alaihi wa sallam as they don't show

him the proper respect. And it is true

that some non Muslims

also praise the prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam

and speak highly of him.

So we as Muslims should be fair, and

we should look at the picture as a

whole.

About the prophet. We have Thomas Caroline, and

Malkiel Hart, and Goethe, the German poet. And

you have George Bernard Shaw, the Irish,

writer.

And he is the winner of the, Nobel

Peace Prize back in the 19 twenties.

So Michael Hart, for example, he offered a

book back in the 19 eighties,

and he said in his book, the title

is the 100, a ranking of the most

influential people in history. And he put the

prophet

number 1.

He is the he said he is the

most influential

person in in the history of man. He

said, the reason is he is the only

leader in history who was successful in both

the secular and religious levels. This is what

he said.

You have

also people like Goethe, and you have people

like George Bernard Shaw. He said

that if Mohammed was living among us today,

he can solve

the problems of the whole world while he

is drinking a cup of coffee, and he

will bring about peace and happiness to all

the people of the world. This is what

he said.

You have also Goethe, the famous German German

poet, he says, if Islam means submission

to the will of Allah following the example

of Muhammad, then all of us should be

Muslim, actually. So this is what they said.

So we as Muslims, we need to highlight

the positive acts and the the things that

some non Muslims say about the prophet, sallallahu

alaihi wa sallam, to counter any other

Muhammad. Sometimes,

tell this day, something

Muslims, they abused the prophet Muhammad

more than the non Muslims who attacked the

prophet Muhammad.

The scholars say,

if anyone among us prays or fast in

the month of Ramadan, the prophet will get

a similar reward because he is the very

reason why you pray and fast.

And those who don't give their brothers and

sisters a share of

hers, they do more damage to Islam than

non Muslims who attack the prophet sallallahu alaihi

wa sallam.

So this

guy, a sister came to me. She is

a new Muslim. I read her that she

said that when I first got married to

my Muslim husband, he never gave me a

dolly, a mom, marriage gift. And he's living

with my non Muslim parents, and they are

paying for everything for him. The bills, everything.

And they are even feeding him. And when

I asked,

why didn't you pay me a dawg or

a mammon or anything, and why didn't you

provide for me? Isn't this what Islam teaches?

He said, you are ignorant. You don't know

anything about Islam. What I do is Islam.

He's a liar.

He is not representing Islam with the Quran.

He is actually doing more damage to Islam.

He's giving,

black eye to Islam.

Okay? So these people do more damage. So

what we need to do, not only teach

non Muslims about Islam, we also need to

teach our fellow Muslims about Islam and the

prophet, sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.

In conclusion,

we believe here at Tarasih that the best

way to counter the attacks of the prophet

is

to teach people and to give them dua,

to spread awareness of Islam and the noble

message of the prophet
