So today, inshallah, we'll talk about another
means that brings you closer to Allah
and this means is sincerity,
Ikhlas.
Allah
tells
us in the Quran in numerous places
that the only thing that people have been
commanded to do
is to be sincere to Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala. And Surah Al Bayinah, Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala says that humans have been only commanded
to do only one thing,
to worship Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and to
be sincere
in their worship to Him, to dedicate everything
they do
purely for his sake.
The opposite of sincerity is
to show off.
To do things that be so that people
will say, oh, masha'Allah, this brother is generous,
generous. This brother is sincere. This brother is
a Muskar. A Muskar is someone who goes
to the Masjid.
I made that up.
So the prophet
is calling
showing off, is calling it minor shirk in
the hadith. Then the Prophet
says at the end of the hadith, on
the day of judgment, when people come to
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala to take the reward
for their deeds, the people used to show
off in this life, then Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala will tell them, go to the people
to whom you used to show off in
this life and get your reward for them.
I have no reward for you.
You did, so they will say, and they
said, so you already got your your reward.
I got nothing for you.
Coins
at the care.
5¢,
10¢.
It takes 2 hours to give someone
$10
in coins.
You do it, so people will say, hey,
Mashallah,
very generous.
When you give someone a jacket,
and every time you see them in the
merchandise, they say, hey, Mashallah, this is a
beautiful jacket, man. Where do you get it
from?
You know what? You don't deserve it, but
I'm a generous guy.
You see?
This is reminding people of your kindness.
Philosophy. How?
So someone is standing in the machine making
salah, and the people are standing behind him
and saying, Mashallah, look at him, who are
these gunmen? SubhanAllah, very beautiful ruku.
And he will tell him, apes,
and I'm fasting too.
It's not only salah, I'm fasting too. Okay?
And he lived in a masjid, in one
of those,
faraway masjid. Nobody was going to the masjid.
Nothing. No one. Absolutely nobody.
So he put an ad in the paper,
we need somebody to pray in the masjid,
and we'll give you $5 for every salah
you do in the masjid. So mashallah after
this, and
the masjid was packed. People praying in the
kitchen, everywhere, in the in the whole place,
in the front yard, in the backyard, everywhere.
So they came to him after the first,
the first prayer, and they said, where's our
money?
Where's our money, man? He has the money.
He said, did I say in the ad
that I'll give you after Ibn salat?
No. I give you at the end of
the month. Wait for your check. So they
came at the end of the month, and
they said, Shaykh,
where is our money?
He said, Wallahi,
as a matter of fact,
I got nothing. I have no money.
But the only thing I did it, so
you come and take the reward from Allah,
and Allah will reward you for coming to
the Masjid.
They said,
you know, you you Sheikh, you are a
crook. We knew you are a crook.
You you wanted to to laugh at us,
but we have the final laugh. We always
come to the salah without wudu.
So unless Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala and Yazooka
Nafla.
The question from last time, if someone intended
to break the fast,
but they, they couldn't find anything to eat
or drink,
is their fasting still valid? The answer is
no. Once you lose the intention for fasting,
there's no fasting for you. You have
the question for today, someone broke some days
in Ramadan, a brother or sister for any
reason. He was sick. She was,
she had a monthly period for any reason.
And he or she decided to make up
the days after Ramadan,
but they died in Ramadan or in the
day of
