Mustafa Khattab – Allahs Justice & Grace

And we'll talk about the concept of in

the Quran.

Allah's

always about his

in in the Quran.

So the concept of in the Quran means

an extra favor or blessing. Something that you

don't deserve,

Allah

gives it as an extra bonus or reward.

Just like when you go to a store

to buy something,

apples for example.

So you got 5 apples for the money,

and the,

the owner gives you an extra

apple. So this is what is called in

Arabic.

So where Allah

talks in the Quran about Jannah, he says

that out of my grace and

generosity, I'll give you Jannah. Although you make

mistakes by day and night, eventually, I will

give you Jannah.

Then I'll give you an extra bonus which

is looking at me in Jannah. So in

Surat Yunus, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala

says, those who have done good, there's this

reward which is Jannah, then an extra bonus.

And this Fatu or Ziyadah

is looking at the face of Allah

in general. An extra bonus.

So the Quran talks about the concept of

justice and the concept of grace.

And the scholars say, we hope that Allah

and this is evidence in the Quran that

he inshallah will treat us with

this grace.

They say if Allah

judges us with

justice in this dunya and in the next

life, no one of us will make it

to Jannah.

But if he judges us with his grace,

there's a hope that none of us could

go to the hellfire.

So there is this

So I'm gonna give this, story to explain

the meaning of justice and grace.

There was this in one of Muslim

countries. He was the imam of the masjid,

and

he had a horrible voice. People hated his

voice. Okay? And Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala distributed

his gifts among his people. Some people are

good with good voice, good memory,

different things. Okay? So every one of us

is gifted in a different way. So his

gift

was not good voice. Okay? He was he

had a horrible voice.

So the people started to protest

and complain, and eventually, they fired him. Okay?

And they got the new imam,

with a better voice. He was huddles, put

out, everything.

Fantastic.

After a few months, this new shaykh with

a beautiful voice didn't show up for salatul

fashr. They looked around, and the only one

there who can lead salah is the old

shaykh. Okay? Because the other guys, none of

them even knew it fathered. Okay?

So they begged him. They kissed his hands.

They all shaved to lead the salah and

he refused. They said, please, no one of

us can lead salah except you. Please lead

he said, well, I'm not even half a

rakah. I'm not gonna they said, this is

not salah of mortgages, not 4 rakahs.

Islam is to be better than other people,

and the way you achieve them. Sometimes they

treat you bad.

If you respond to their bad by doing

bad, this is justice, but Allah subhanahu wa'ala

always tells us in the Quran to be

better than people.

So the Quran almost talks about the concept

of and being burned on other people and

giving them more and giving them extra. So

it says, for example, if someone did your

wrong,

you can retaliate, but it is better to

forgive them.

If you are patient, Allah will give you

a more reward.

It says, for example, about the dowry.

For example, if a couple, yeah, they did

but before they consummate the marriage, they were

separated. So the lady deserves half of the

money, and Allah says,

but if you forgive the guy and don't

take anything from him, this is this is

an extra thing from you, and so on

and so forth.

They're in the basement of Jannah. Allah

will raise the children to the level of

their parents.

So the brother asked me, he didn't mean

anything wrong, but he says, where is the

justice here? My parents were excellent people. They

did have to pray all the time. I

was playing games. How come that Allah

raised me to the level? And I said

Allah

is not treating us with his justice, but

with his grace.

And when Allah

raises you to the level of your parents,

he's not only doing you a favor, but

he's doing a big favor to your parents

because

their

their pleasure agenda is not complete

until they see you in front of them

and in their level. So Allah subhanahu wa

ta'ala out of his justice, he didn't reduce

the parents to the level

of the children. No. He raised you to

their level because

So the scholars say

that if your family is not with you

in Jannah, they are in a lower place,

would not feel happy in Jannah. And Allah

will remove sadness,

and sorrow,

and grief, and worry from people by raising

the children to the level of the parents.

So in some situations, some sisters come to

me,

and they say that I have been married

to my husband for some time and

Now, he, you know, we have issues and

he doesn't like me anymore and we're planning

to get a divorce,

but he doesn't want to give me my

money. So what he does basically, he abuses

his wife.

So eventually, she was saying, you know what?

I don't need a penny from you, but

please give me a divorce. This is not

justice and this is not grace.

If you want to divorce a lady,
