00:00:03 --> 00:00:05
			Thank you for the introduction but the for sale.

00:00:06 --> 00:00:07
			Right?

00:00:08 --> 00:00:51
			So, we started off by praising Allah subhana wa Tada. And we asked him to send his choices of
blessings and salutations upon our beloved prophet muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam,
his family members, his companions and all those who tread upon his path with the utmost sincerity
until the day of piano. So I'd like to start off by thanking Allah subhanho wa taala, for this
opportunity, where he has gathered us in one of his houses, in one of his massages, you know, a lot
of people actually reached out on social media and wherever the poster was shared, stating that
they're finding it difficult to move around because of the fuel prices that actually, you know, made

00:00:51 --> 00:01:16
			in client requests as to whether this could be recorded and has to be live streamed. Because a lot
of people are finding it very challenging these days to obtain fuel and to move around. So the fact
that Allah has, you know, gathered us here has chosen us we have to be grateful for him this Sunday
afternoon that we're here in one of his beautiful houses, to remember him and to remember the words
of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam.

00:01:19 --> 00:01:25
			The times are challenging a lot of challenges around us, things look bleak.

00:01:26 --> 00:01:36
			But as believers, the Quran teaches us the teachings of the Prophet teach us to be optimistic. He
was an optimistic individual.

00:01:37 --> 00:01:53
			And the Quran and the teachings of the Prophet teach us to be optimistic. So inshallah having faith
in the Almighty be optimistic, we pray to Him that Allah eases our affairs, that Allah eases the
hardship that Allah eases the affairs of our country.

00:01:55 --> 00:02:18
			Having mentioned that, it is again from the blessings of Allah subhanho wa taala, that he brings
about seasons of opportunity, seasons of goodness, do you know that we have teachings of the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that tell us that there are certain seasons in which for example, you do
Aza answered

00:02:21 --> 00:02:32
			you have Leila Takada during Laylatul Qadr. You have to ask stand a chance to get answered. Does
anyone else know have a special timing when you do as answer ends up?

00:02:38 --> 00:03:11
			Friday, yeah, so Friday is a special day as well. We have a hadith that tells us that there is a
special our special window in which if you make dua, your DUA will be answered by Allah subhanho.
Then we have another Hadith where the prophet tells us that when it is raining, you have to ask
stand the chance to get answered. So, there are certain places that are blessed by Allah subhanho wa
taala, certain timings that are blessed by Allah subhanho wa taala. So from this, we understand that
not all of time has been created equal.

00:03:12 --> 00:03:57
			Not all places have been created equal, not all of the Creation have been created equal and this is
from the wisdom of Allah subhanho wa Taala you take the gardens of Paradise we know genital
theodosis the grandest and the greatest of them all. You take the angels we know that angel Jibreel
allege that was Salam is the greatest and the grandest of them all. You take the the you take
mankind you know that Allah has created prophets, He created prophets and he chose them with an
added layer of responsibility. A whole galaxy of Prophets were sent and from the prophets, you have
messengers who are given another layer of responsibility they were given they were given revelation.

00:03:57 --> 00:04:00
			And from the messengers you have five of them.

00:04:01 --> 00:04:02
			Known

00:04:03 --> 00:04:28
			as five special prophets to go in order. There are no highlights that was salam. Ibrahim Ali salat
wa salam Musa Ali's that was Salah Marisol is that was salam and Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa
aalihi wa sallam and from these five prophets you have to have been conferred the title Helene,
which means close friend, Kali lane to close friends of Allah who are the pullers

00:04:32 --> 00:04:58
			Musa Allah salat wa salam, Khalili Ibrahim Ibrahim alayhi salatu salam and Muhammad sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam to friends of Allah and from the two friends of Allah. Muhammad sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam is Habib is the most beloved of them all Unto Allah subhanho wa Taala and you and I, we
are blessed to be from the Ummah of Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa aalihi wa sallam in terms of time.

00:05:00 --> 00:05:04
			Who created time Allah created time? Time is complex.

00:05:06 --> 00:05:07
			But Allah is about time.

00:05:09 --> 00:05:26
			You know, when we try to process this, there's not enough RAM. There's not enough processing power,
because the you and I are past, a present or future is applicable but this is not applicable for
Allah because Allah created time, time is a creation of Allah azza wa jal

00:05:27 --> 00:05:54
			you know, some youngsters, they may have seen these, you know, you have these episodes and videos of
bending time and manipulating time, going back in time and fast forwarding time, and it's very
fascinating, you know, it's fiction, nothing real fiction, you know, superpowers and whatnot. But
it's very fascinating when you see someone traveling back in time when

00:05:55 --> 00:06:34
			you know, 2022 if you're able to by just you know, turning your watch if you can go back. It's
fascinating, but you and I, obviously we can't manipulate time like that, but Allah has control
Allah has total power over time. So he created time, and out of his infinite wisdom, He did not
create all of time equal. He chose certain passages of time to be more superior than other passages
of time. When talking about months, we have the month of Ramadan that has been chosen to be the most
virtuous, the most grandest, the most powerful of months, the month in which the Quran was revealed
to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:06:36 --> 00:06:56
			When talking about days in a week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and
Sunday, Allah chose Friday Yama Juma to be the best of days. Yama Juma? The words of the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi. Wa, Hiroo Yeoman, Tala Tala Hashem so your melodrama, the best of days upon which
the sun has risen is Friday.

00:06:57 --> 00:07:22
			When you talk about nights, the last 10 nights of the month of Ramadan are the best of nights. Why?
Because within those last night you have Laylatul Qadr and Leila to cada is a specific night that is
the most powerful night. Allah says in the Quran Hi, Ron min l Tisha better than 1000 months 83 odd
years.

00:07:23 --> 00:07:35
			When talking about days now that we said within a week Friday, but across the year if you want to
single out days, now that's the season we are headed towards.

00:07:36 --> 00:07:41
			The days of the Hedgehog, the first 10 days of the hedgehog.

00:07:43 --> 00:07:52
			A question may arise are the first 10 days of bull hedger better, or the last 10 days of Ramadan.

00:07:54 --> 00:08:23
			First 10 days of the hijab or last 10 days of Ramadan, you need to understand this fine nuance in
terms of days first 10 days of the ledger are the best no doubt about it. In terms of nights last 10
nights of Ramadan. When you compare nights first 10 Nights of The Last 10 nights of Ramadan. The
last 10 nights of Ramadan are better why? Simple logic lyrical Kadri is there in it in terms of days
first 10 days of the hate the first 10 days of Ramadan, the first 10 days of the hijab better.

00:08:25 --> 00:09:04
			And it's explained in the books of Hadith that perhaps the reason behind the first 10 days of the
hijab being so powerful is because all five pillars of the deen are contained within those 10 days.
And this does not happen any other time across the year. Think about it. What are the five pillars
of Islam who can tell me raise my raise your hands five pillars of Islam and put me in a villa Mala
Erica here well Good to be here so LEE Well yami lastra with the writer see you got it from the six
articles of faith five pillars of Islam Yes brother.

00:09:06 --> 00:09:07
			Shah okay again from again.

00:09:09 --> 00:09:09
			So Allah

00:09:11 --> 00:09:19
			Zeca sound, had Hajj, Masha Allah, Masha Allah, may Allah bless you, may Allah reward you five
pillars of Islam.

00:09:20 --> 00:09:55
			Why are they called pillars? See these pillars in the masjid? You know how important they are any
engineers, any architects in the crowd, you know how important they are? If one of these pillars
were to get compromised, Allah forbid, the structure becomes compromised. So similarly, the pillars
are very important for the beam of an individual, the pillars of Islam. So the Prophet says Guney al
Islam or Allah comes Islam has been built upon five, and then he mentions shahada to Allah, Allah,
Allah, Allah, Allah Muhammad are sort of like the * brother in the blue t shirt said Shahada.
You bear with us that there is no deity worthy of worship other than Allah and that Muhammad

00:09:55 --> 00:09:59
			sallallahu alayhi wa Salam is the messenger of Allah. Now during the 10 days that happened

00:10:01 --> 00:10:03
			Obviously right during the 10 days that happens

00:10:04 --> 00:10:05
			Salah

00:10:08 --> 00:10:13
			during the 10 days that will happen in sha Allah right it is an obligation upon our shoulders.

00:10:14 --> 00:10:14
			third pillar

00:10:17 --> 00:10:17
			what

00:10:20 --> 00:10:20
			Zakah

00:10:21 --> 00:10:22
			says

00:10:23 --> 00:11:07
			you can give it across the year anytime Some people choose to give it in Ramadan they mark the as
zakat anniversary in Ramadan which is well and good. Easy to remember easy to calculate. So for
example 15th of Ramadan to 15th of Ramadan 20th of Ramadan to 20th of Ramadan no harm, but it's not
an obligation to give it in Ramadan you can give it outside of Ramadan as well. So if you want to
you can choose to give it during the 10 days of the hijab, or you can choose to give a portion of
yours because you may have given the Zakat for law for your previous year. And now from the upcoming
year. Let's say there is a worthy cause you can bring forward a portion of your zakat. Let's say

00:11:07 --> 00:11:35
			your Zakat is 500,000 rupees during the 10 days of the Hijra you can choose to give 100,000 rupees
you can choose to give 250,000 rupees, there's no harm you can do so so as the cat can be fulfilled
during the ledger during the 10 days of the hijab. And along with the cat because the cat is
understood as the obligatory charity you can choose to give optional charity and you must as we will
see in just a bit sadaqa that is also given during the 10 days of the ledger.

00:11:36 --> 00:12:08
			Now the last pillar that is key hudge sorry one more sound fasting, you will see that it is from the
sunnah to fast during the 10 days of the during the 10 during the first nine days of the ledger on
the 10th You are not allowed to fast why? Who knows eighth 10th is the day of eight. So it is haram
to fast on the day of eighth. It is a day of merrymaking It is a day of yomo. Acklin was should have
been as the Prophet says that day of eating and drinking. So it is an Ibadah to

00:12:09 --> 00:12:20
			celebrate, so you can't fast the first nine days you may 1 So fasting is also something that you can
do. The last pillar Hutch.

00:12:21 --> 00:12:56
			You cannot fulfill this pillar except during those days. You can't fulfill Hajj in Ramadan. Even if
you wanted to. You can do Homra Yes, but you can't do Hajj during any other special passage Hajj
cannot be fulfilled, Hajj can only be fulfilled in this window. So this is why some scholars state
that perhaps this may be the reason why this passage is so powerful this passage of time because all
five pillars of the deen manifest in these 10 days.

00:12:58 --> 00:13:21
			So my dear brothers and Islam a few days away from the moon being sighted and the first of the
hijack commencing, we have established now the time is not equal. And it is from the blessings of
Allah that He has given us special seasons and comply it I want you to compare it think if you are
given a burly season

00:13:23 --> 00:14:08
			you know you now it's kind of becoming a trend here as well. But in other parts of the world you
have this cyber Monday you have Black Friday and you have all these sales across the year. People
mark it on their calendars and they look forward to those sales 50% of 60% off 75% slash and you get
to buy products so much to the extent that sometimes you'd see videos of people fighting in these in
these malls and shops to get these bargains and these deals. So when it comes to the worldly life,
we all rush we all want to be there we want to get those bargains we know how worth it is.

00:14:09 --> 00:14:16
			Similarly Allah is sending you now seasons of opportunity, seasons to reap rewards.

00:14:18 --> 00:14:20
			And I know it is a time when a lot of us are down

00:14:22 --> 00:14:33
			there bogged down the the future like I said earlier looks bleak. Don't know what to do. You're not
even sure about fuel tomorrow. How are you to travel?

00:14:34 --> 00:14:47
			Inflation on one side steep rise in the cost of living everything looks bleak. But don't forget, my
dear brother, my dear sister, we acknowledge the sisters upstairs as well. I hope all of you are
well.

00:14:49 --> 00:14:54
			You have to bear in mind that who is the controller

00:14:55 --> 00:14:56
			of all affairs

00:14:57 --> 00:14:59
			who Allah

00:15:00 --> 00:15:13
			We are believers right? But do we c'est la hawla wala Quwata illa biLlah there is no power, no mind
except from Allah. A situation is brought about by Allah Allah situation is undone by Allah.

00:15:15 --> 00:15:20
			It is Allah who gave you well that is Allah who is taking your wealth, it is the same Allah

00:15:23 --> 00:15:25
			so you have to bear this in mind.

00:15:27 --> 00:15:28
			Sometimes people tend to

00:15:30 --> 00:15:34
			get a little annoyed, all that these collars not to do is to say to turn to Allah

00:15:36 --> 00:15:41
			regardless of the situation turn to Allah, can they say something else, what do you want us to say?

00:15:46 --> 00:15:47
			And that is the solution.

00:15:50 --> 00:15:52
			That is the solution.

00:15:54 --> 00:16:06
			Obviously, it does not mean let go of the US Baba Okay, the chef's that day, he said, I'm not going
to go now looking for fuel, what to park my car at home and turn to Allah Allah let my tank become
full next day morning.

00:16:10 --> 00:16:12
			That's not going to happen. Why?

00:16:14 --> 00:16:46
			Because that is an erroneous way of understanding Tawakkol you can't expect a tree to grow without
planting the seed. You have to plant the seed. And then you place your trust you have to plant the
seed you have to water it, you have to do all of it and you place your trust in Allah. It is Allah
who will make that seed germinate. It is Allah who will make that tiny sapling breakout and become a
fruit bearing tree Inshallah, you have to make the effort and you place your trust in Allah don't
lose out on the element of placing trust in Allah.

00:16:47 --> 00:16:58
			So, coming back to the point that I wanted to establish before we run out of time, is that
especially during times like this, don't lose hope. Don't give up don't despair,

00:16:59 --> 00:17:06
			turn to him increase your good deeds, increase your giving, if you are in a

00:17:07 --> 00:17:12
			if if your financial capacity allows you to do so and you will see

00:17:13 --> 00:17:14
			a great return.

00:17:16 --> 00:17:22
			entrepreneurs and investors What do they say they say? Buy the dip. Have you heard of that term?

00:17:24 --> 00:17:25
			Buy the dip.

00:17:27 --> 00:17:30
			Why we take any asset class?

00:17:32 --> 00:17:46
			All going down portfolios 50% Allah forbid Allah protect us. Be crypto be stocks be whatever it may
be. In some parts of the world, real estate markets are crashing.

00:17:47 --> 00:17:49
			So investors

00:17:50 --> 00:17:51
			or other

00:17:52 --> 00:17:55
			investment gurus, they say buy the dip if you're able to

00:17:57 --> 00:18:14
			because now whatever you're buying is 50% off and it cycles. You're bearish sentiments we are
bullish sentiments. So eventually when the market turns around, you're going to be upon the deal. So
if that is the case with regards to the duniya advises to buy the dip,

00:18:15 --> 00:18:22
			you are in a dip if you are able to give out Allah's promise that I will give you many fold in
return.

00:18:24 --> 00:18:51
			And which advice will you give priority to a mortal human being giving you advice? Okay, be it
Warren Buffett or Bill Gates or whoever it may be based on their experience and they are standing or
the words of Allah wa Manos document Allah Hey Taylor, who is more truthful than Allah subhanho wa
Taala so these seasons they come my dear brothers and sisters to help us during the seasons, get
closer to Allah.

00:18:53 --> 00:18:54
			Get closer to him,

00:18:55 --> 00:18:56
			refine your Salah

00:18:58 --> 00:19:09
			empower yourself with the DUA I've been telling this for those of you have been maybe listening to
my sermons recently I've been highlighting the importance of properly making dua

00:19:10 --> 00:19:24
			a lot of us who have become very robotic and very monotonous with our to us. It's like okay, I have
to make dua. So after every prayer, I'm gonna attina for dunya hasta la fille Africa hasta la Cana
either but ALLAH forgive my sins, Allah is the first palace and you're done with it.

00:19:26 --> 00:19:37
			But yeah, brothers and sisters, what is dua? This is a powerful request a plea that you're making,
in front of Allah. Just imagine

00:19:38 --> 00:19:42
			in a situation like this, some ruler,

00:19:43 --> 00:19:53
			some king is giving you an audience is giving you a chance to meet him and put forth a request.

00:19:55 --> 00:19:56
			Would you go

00:19:58 --> 00:19:59
			absent mindedly will

00:20:00 --> 00:20:04
			Do go half heartedly, would you go unprepared?

00:20:05 --> 00:20:13
			Or would you value that opportunity? And would you compose your words? Well to explain the situation
and get the best out of that,

00:20:15 --> 00:20:18
			that opportunity that appointment that audience.

00:20:19 --> 00:20:27
			Now here you are in front of Robben Island mean, in front of the king of all kings, the Lord of all
worlds.

00:20:28 --> 00:20:30
			And we carelessly make dua.

00:20:32 --> 00:20:44
			You know, just to give you an example, when talking about I'm going to use the materialistic thing,
because it's easier than you know, to understand. Let's say if one of you wants something,

00:20:47 --> 00:20:49
			a car maybe, alright, you want a car

00:20:52 --> 00:20:54
			or you want to make dua for a car.

00:20:55 --> 00:20:57
			Don't just raise your hands and say, I want a car.

00:21:00 --> 00:21:02
			Don't just say, Yola, I want a car.

00:21:05 --> 00:21:10
			You need to describe the car in vivid detail.

00:21:12 --> 00:21:14
			You need to picture the car that you want.

00:21:16 --> 00:21:21
			Today, life coaches, they talk about this concept as the law of attraction.

00:21:22 --> 00:21:34
			They say you need to picture these things in your mind on a daily basis. And the more vividly you
picture it, and the more stronger that connection is there right that the universe will give you
what you want.

00:21:36 --> 00:21:58
			We as believers, we don't say the universe will give you what you want, Allah will give it to you.
So when making the DUA don't vaguely Yala, I want a chi Allah, I want a car. Again, think of this
example. You're being given an opportunity to meet the richest person in the world. And he's saying,
You know what, you asked me 10 things. I'll give it to you a materialistic things? Are you going to
do just tell him I want a car?

00:22:00 --> 00:22:01
			Would you do that?

00:22:02 --> 00:22:07
			I want a car. I want a house. No, you will do all the research. You might

00:22:08 --> 00:22:27
			be confused what to ask because you've done all your watch reviews. You're what's done the research
because you get to ask only one car. You'd be very specific. The exterior of the car, the interior
of the car, the horsepower of the car, the engine of the car, the brand of the car, then why are you
not doing this with Allah subhanahu wa ala? Why don't you believe in Allah?

00:22:29 --> 00:22:32
			Why do you think that if you ask Allah for a karate, you're not going to get it?

00:22:33 --> 00:22:37
			Trust me, brother. You do it with the right wind power

00:22:38 --> 00:22:46
			and work towards it. When life coaches are telling you that the universe will give it to you you as
a believer, do you think Allah cannot give it to you.

00:22:48 --> 00:22:49
			But the mindset.

00:22:52 --> 00:23:04
			The mindset, they say, if you want a house, don't just ask the house, the life coaches say go to the
neighborhood where you bought the house, take a picture of that house, print it out.

00:23:05 --> 00:23:20
			And some say paste it on the ceiling. So that every day as you open your eyes, it's the house or
paste it on the mirror, you know, in the washroom or wherever it is, every day you look at the house
and I want this house, I want this house I want this house.

00:23:21 --> 00:23:32
			And they say that if you keep doing it, there is a system that they're going to give you steps and
whatnot. They say the universe will give it to you and there have been many

00:23:34 --> 00:23:38
			testimonials by people who have achieved such things.

00:23:43 --> 00:23:44
			I want to reiterate

00:23:45 --> 00:23:56
			once you understand the power of dua, using it for materialistic things is undermining the power of
dua let me establish that but for us to understand

00:23:57 --> 00:24:03
			is the easiest way. You can definitely use your DUA to achieve great things in life.

00:24:04 --> 00:24:08
			Many great things, but you need to know how to activate your DUA.

00:24:10 --> 00:24:24
			There are timings if you coincide, your eyes answered there are ways to do it. Your dua should not
be vague, your DUA should be descriptive as possible and the mindset after making the DUA optimistic
full of hope never losing hope. It will come

00:24:33 --> 00:24:39
			I have experienced it in my life. Time does not permit for me to go into a few experiences. But

00:24:41 --> 00:24:45
			you know, for example, I will not go into a lot of detail but let me give you a strategy

00:24:46 --> 00:24:48
			during the last 10 nights of Ramadan.

00:24:51 --> 00:24:55
			One of the Nights is going to be late April Tada. You don't know which night, right?

00:24:56 --> 00:24:59
			One of the Nights is bound to be in eletropaulo

00:25:02 --> 00:25:03
			So, why don't you try

00:25:05 --> 00:25:06
			making the same dua

00:25:08 --> 00:25:09
			every night

00:25:12 --> 00:25:20
			that dua is bound to coincide with retro pada right? And if it coincides what happens do is answer

00:25:21 --> 00:25:26
			I did it and my dua was answered it manifested and it is still manifesting

00:25:28 --> 00:25:32
			I'm telling you, I'm seated in front of you it's because of the DUA.

00:25:41 --> 00:25:45
			When I was memorizing the Quran I was initially finding it a little difficult

00:25:48 --> 00:25:54
			so one Ramadan I tried this every night it was just this guy, because if you make wearing to us, you
won't know because then

00:25:56 --> 00:26:05
			the variations are there, right. Across the last night I made sure I made other to us, but there was
one specific dua that I made every single night

00:26:07 --> 00:26:25
			every single night that one dA. So, I was having firm conviction because I made the same dua every
night. By default, I have to coincide with layer to cover and it has to be answered by ALLAH SubhanA
vata. And let me tell you, after that Ramadan, I breezed through the Quran.

00:26:26 --> 00:26:30
			And my dua was somewhat let's say,

00:26:31 --> 00:26:33
			like I said, descriptive.

00:26:34 --> 00:26:37
			I told Allah that I want to memorize the Quran and not just memorize the Quran.

00:26:40 --> 00:26:49
			You know, serve the deen serve the Quran serve the word of Allah. And little did I know that the DUA
would manifest itself to the extent that

00:26:50 --> 00:26:51
			Alhamdulillah

00:26:54 --> 00:26:55
			and I

00:26:57 --> 00:27:10
			give credit to the DUA and to the help of ALLAH for the trophy for the opportunity. So as you can
see, like I said earlier on asking for materialistic things is fine, you have to ask Allah, but
you're undermining the power of law, you can achieve many, many great things through to

00:27:11 --> 00:27:35
			seize it, seize the season, seize these acts of worship, and you will be able to turn the tables
around of your life of the people around you of the society at large. And we have it my dear
brothers and sisters, we have it within us. The tools are just there in front of us, but we are
unwilling to use it, unfortunately.

00:27:37 --> 00:27:42
			So that as we make our way into the season, there are good deeds.

00:27:44 --> 00:27:45
			Fasting is one of them.

00:27:47 --> 00:27:48
			You see today,

00:27:50 --> 00:27:54
			a lot of us, our diets are not the greatest.

00:27:57 --> 00:27:58
			Why?

00:28:00 --> 00:28:02
			A lot of processed food, a

00:28:04 --> 00:28:05
			lot of unhealthy

00:28:07 --> 00:28:08
			eating habits.

00:28:14 --> 00:28:18
			Obesity is on the eyes, health complications on the eyes.

00:28:22 --> 00:28:36
			That if you have an illness that prevents you from fasting, it's a different story. But otherwise,
by doing so you reap a lot of health benefits. And along with that there are so many spiritual
benefits to be derived as well.

00:28:37 --> 00:28:47
			There are empty narrations to prove that fasting during the first nine days are from the Sunnah of
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,

00:28:48 --> 00:28:49
			especially

00:28:51 --> 00:28:53
			the night which is the Day of Arafah

00:28:55 --> 00:29:01
			Your sins are forgiven as per the words of the prophets, Allah Islam one day my dear brothers and
sisters just one day

00:29:04 --> 00:29:19
			and you don't have to fast all nine, you can pass the first day. Leave the second day, fast the
second day, the third day, leave the fourth day fast the fifth day leave the six day seven today
leave the day faster nine today, you faster in a balanced way.

00:29:20 --> 00:29:40
			And you stand to reap all these rewards. And when fasting, fasting as per the words of the prophets,
Allah Islam is like a shield to prevent to protect you from carnal desires from wrongful thoughts.
It'll help you to get closer to the Quran to read the Quran.

00:29:42 --> 00:29:59
			See, I'm sure during the month of Ramadan, we developed a good relationship with the Quran. But now
as we are moving away from Ramadan, under the influence of Chopin is infiltrating. We might be
distancing you know if you touch ourselves, all of us can feel that guilt. You know, I've kind of
grown away from the Quran during Ramadan. I

00:30:00 --> 00:30:10
			had the Quran with me I used to go to the masjid tarawih listen to the Quran but now I'm slowly
moving away from the Quran. Use this opportunity to rekindle the relationship to get closer to the
Quran.

00:30:11 --> 00:30:15
			To study the Quran to reflect on the Quran, the lessons of the Quran

00:30:18 --> 00:30:22
			don't make your houses into graveyards. You see a lot of people today

00:30:25 --> 00:30:29
			have problems. They reach out.

00:30:31 --> 00:30:36
			It's either physically visible problems that like shape, I hear things in my house.

00:30:38 --> 00:30:39
			footsteps.

00:30:41 --> 00:30:43
			Chains being dragged

00:30:44 --> 00:30:46
			my spooking the little ones in the crowd.

00:30:50 --> 00:30:53
			And there are others who would reach out and say chef, whatever I do, there's no Baraka

00:30:55 --> 00:31:00
			or it's one thing after the other one calamity after the other I just don't understand.

00:31:03 --> 00:31:21
			I feel like from the time I moved into this house, this is where it all started. Don't immediately
jump to blame the house my dear brother my dear sister. If you go back to the teachings of the
Prophet the Prophet says, the house in which the Quran is not read the house in which water Baqarah
is not read becomes a graveyard.

00:31:22 --> 00:31:23
			So do you

00:31:26 --> 00:31:29
			who is gutsy enough to spend the night in a graveyard?

00:31:31 --> 00:31:32
			By Masha Allah.

00:31:33 --> 00:31:38
			Because obviously if you look at it from a believer standpoint, there is nothing to fear in the
graveyard.

00:31:41 --> 00:31:49
			But generally, people are when you say graveyard, it's kind of a lonely place

00:31:50 --> 00:31:51
			lives.

00:31:52 --> 00:31:55
			So don't make your house into one of them make it lively

00:31:58 --> 00:32:14
			by reading the Quran, so when you read the Quran, In another Hadith, the prophet tells us shaytan
does not come into that house, the prophet tells us when entering the house, go with the name of
Allah, that I'm all these teachings, little teachings when activated,

00:32:15 --> 00:32:40
			protects you, your loved ones, your family, your household, your family unit, from the influences of
shape on from the traps of Chapin, because Shavon is waiting to do this cause mischief. So, when
seasons like this come, we must seize it to secure to do good deeds to get the right investments in
place and talking about investments,

00:32:42 --> 00:32:42
			charity

00:32:44 --> 00:32:53
			and there is a powerful act of charity that is supposed to be done during these 10 days. And this
mighty brothers and sisters is known as the act of God hear.

00:32:56 --> 00:33:10
			The term here is an Arabic term. Some of us are familiar with the term Corbon for money owed here.
Synonym is more or less old here is basically whatever is slaughtered for the sake of Allah.

00:33:12 --> 00:33:22
			on either the 10th of the hijab level 12 or 13 I'm giving you the ruling i the 10th 11th 12th or
13th of the hijab

00:33:23 --> 00:33:24
			from

00:33:25 --> 00:33:26
			either a camel,

00:33:27 --> 00:33:28
			a bull,

00:33:29 --> 00:33:31
			sheep, or goat,

00:33:33 --> 00:33:34
			camel bull,

00:33:36 --> 00:33:47
			sheep or goat in our context. No cameras in Sri Lanka. Do we have cameras? No cameras I used to have
in the zoo I think right before remember before.

00:33:48 --> 00:33:58
			And we have we don't also have sheep you know when they say sheep Our climate is obviously not
suitable for sheep. Goats, yes we do and then bulls.

00:33:59 --> 00:34:20
			This is odd here, I can only be given that you can give it on the ninth you can give it on the
eighth you can give it on the Day of Arafah it is on the 10th and that also after the Eid prayer, if
you give it before the eighth right is not accepted after the Eid prayer and you have time until the
13th. So 10th is the day of eighth 11th 1213

00:34:21 --> 00:34:24
			And this My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam is

00:34:26 --> 00:34:44
			of utmost importance. Some scholars say it is wajib it is obligatory upon every single person who
can afford to do so. And the majority say it is as sunnah moussaka and emphasized Sula highly
emphasized sunnah so much to the extent that it is highly disliked to leave it if you are able to
afford it.

00:34:46 --> 00:35:00
			And in terms of affording it depends on your financial capacity. If you can give out a camera which
is the most expensive you give out a camera. If you can give out an entire bowl. You give out an
entire bowl. If you can give out an entire go

00:35:00 --> 00:35:31
			Have you give out an entire goat, if you cannot afford any of these, then you may give 1/7 of a
camel or 1/7 of a bull. In other words, the value of a bowl can be divided into seven shares and you
can give 1/7 of it. So, you can get together with seven people and give one bull a bull can be
shared by several people contributing for over a year. Now, who is it obligatory upon, are highly
recommended upon the breadwinner of the family.

00:35:33 --> 00:35:48
			The breadwinner of the family, the breadwinner of the family can choose to give either an entire
animal or one seven of the bull or the remember a goat cannot be shared, a goat here to give the
full good bull or camel can be shared.

00:35:49 --> 00:35:55
			So, the breadwinner gives on behalf of himself and all of the dependents under him.

00:35:57 --> 00:36:08
			So, the breadwinner can either give out a full animal or 170 of a bull or camel on behalf of himself
and all of his dependents and when we say dependents, you understand the term right.

00:36:09 --> 00:36:13
			Let's say for example, there is a man and his wife

00:36:15 --> 00:36:16
			and he has three children,

00:36:17 --> 00:36:41
			two children are living with him and they are dependent on him. One child is married and living
separately not dependent on him. So, his hair would only suffice for himself his wife who is
dependent on him and the two children who are dependent on him, the one who is now married and
living separately earning his or her own income has to give separately is that clear? You can ask
the questions if there are as we proceed inshallah.

00:36:45 --> 00:36:48
			And the one who is giving it, the breadwinner.

00:36:50 --> 00:37:17
			From the time the moon has been cited, I eat the first of the ledger, until the Quran is given it is
from the teachings of the Prophet that he should not cut his hair or trim his nails. So when you say
her hair, your head, your facial hair, your you know *, underarms, all of it basically. So what
is recommended is before the moon is sighted you spruce yourself up

00:37:18 --> 00:37:32
			because now you have to wait for almost 10 days until the old hair is given. And then once it is
given, you can now go on, go back to you know cutting your hair, trimming your nails and so on and
so forth. This is an act of worship.

00:37:36 --> 00:37:41
			And it is in a way to kind of synchronize yourself with those who are on hij

00:37:43 --> 00:37:52
			Do you see the beauty of it? Allah is giving us an opportunity even though you're not on Hajj, you
can go into that feeling of a haram

00:37:55 --> 00:37:56
			like those who are on Hajj.

00:37:59 --> 00:38:07
			And where did this act of worship come? I'm going to spend another five minutes and lemon maybe four
times the other 630

00:38:08 --> 00:38:09
			Yeah, I think so.

00:38:12 --> 00:38:13
			So

00:38:15 --> 00:38:21
			where did this act of worship come in summary very quickly. This by doing it we are reviving

00:38:22 --> 00:38:42
			the grid sooner of Ibrahim alayhi salatu salam that was passed down. From Ismail Ali salat wa salam
onto the generations of Ismail Ali salat wa salam, Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam the Omar
Mohamed salah. And I want you all to give this some deep talk.

00:38:44 --> 00:38:52
			Brian manage that was salam was a prophet of Allah. We just mentioned right Holly Lane from the two
friends of Allah. But he went through a lot of hardship

00:38:53 --> 00:39:05
			with his people. He goes to his father and invites his father towards worshiping Allah and the
father response law or German law. I will. I'm going to stone you, stone you.

00:39:07 --> 00:39:09
			She had to part ways with his father.

00:39:11 --> 00:39:15
			And after parting ways with his father, what happens?

00:39:16 --> 00:39:27
			Eventually the people of the town they all start harboring animosity towards him. You know the
story. They get together they build this huge bonfire

00:39:30 --> 00:39:35
			and want to burn him alive by the will of Allah he was protected. He was protected.

00:39:39 --> 00:39:59
			And after all these incidents, he prays Unto Allah, Robbie Hubballi in a Salah Hain to bless him
with a child to give them a child. For sure. Now who be a Golem in Haleem is Allah says in the
Quran, he was given glad tidings of a forbearing boy son child

00:40:02 --> 00:40:39
			And farlam Bella Verma who saya. As Allah says in the Quran, now the child has come of an age he is
running about, and that can be interpreted in different ways. One is his frolicking and playing
around and you're seeing the child fathers in the crowd will relate to what I'm saying you're seeing
your child running around. And so he can also be interpreted as an age where he's now helping you.
This is the time a father really feels the sense of happiness to see you know, his offspring, his
DNA, his flesh and blood

00:40:44 --> 00:40:46
			you're proud of your child

00:40:47 --> 00:40:48
			achievements of your child?

00:40:51 --> 00:40:53
			It was at that crucial juncture.

00:40:55 --> 00:40:58
			Yeah, Boulia in the field,

00:40:59 --> 00:41:00
			at bat HK

00:41:02 --> 00:41:04
			Bri manage that Islam sees a dream.

00:41:06 --> 00:41:08
			And you have to understand with the prophets of Allah.

00:41:10 --> 00:41:11
			Dreams

00:41:13 --> 00:41:17
			are one of the ways they recite they receive revelation.

00:41:18 --> 00:41:20
			One of the ways they receive revelation

00:41:22 --> 00:41:25
			you see, there are ways that the prophets received revelation or you and i Excuse me

00:41:28 --> 00:41:30
			You and I, we can't say we saw a dream.

00:41:32 --> 00:41:34
			And now that is why from Allah

00:41:35 --> 00:41:42
			there are some people who say you know, I, I saw a dream I have been given concession. Now I only
need to pray two times a day.

00:41:45 --> 00:41:54
			For me, if I've seen a dream Fajr Asia I don't have to pray stuff for Allah. So you can't do that.
That dream is from Satan.

00:41:55 --> 00:42:02
			But the prophets of Allah shaytan cannot tamper with their dreams our dreams. shaytaan wreaks havoc.

00:42:03 --> 00:42:16
			Nightmares are from Sherpa and evil dreams are from sharepad sexual dreams from Chopin. We have to
do a talk separately about dreams, interpretation of dreams and what to do you know when you see
certain dreams.

00:42:18 --> 00:42:25
			The dreams of the prophets are divine revelation from Allah so He sees in the dream is slaughtering
his son.

00:42:27 --> 00:42:47
			So he calls his son. Yeah, Brene. The wording is beautiful in Arabic, oh, my beloved Son in the raw
film anatomy only as Baroque. Indeed, I've seen in my dream, I'm slaughtering you. I want you all
fathers and mothers in the crowd. Think of having this conversation with your child.

00:42:48 --> 00:42:53
			And he asked the child Feng Verma that are what are your thoughts? What do you think?

00:42:54 --> 00:43:02
			And now I want you all to think in today's context, if you were to tell your child this I wonder
what kind of response you would get from your child.

00:43:04 --> 00:43:05
			Dad

00:43:07 --> 00:43:09
			I think all of this has really gotten to you

00:43:15 --> 00:43:16
			are you serious? slaughter me?

00:43:17 --> 00:43:19
			Human Rights Commission

00:43:25 --> 00:43:30
			Ismail Ali salat wa salam here response. And this is the beauty

00:43:32 --> 00:43:36
			of the prioritization of the word of Allah.

00:43:38 --> 00:43:56
			Yeah, Betty, again, the same language, oh, my beloved Father, if I were to do what you have been
commanded to do, by Allah, strategy to me in sha Allah whom in a sovereign and in sha Allah, you
will find me from those who are patient, look at the compliance, look at the obedience

00:43:59 --> 00:44:05
			and this you have to there are many factors. There's parenting involved, you can't

00:44:07 --> 00:44:36
			overnight reap compliance and obedience. You have to walk the talk. As a parent, there is dua
involved there are a number of ingredients here and obviously time does not permit for me to go into
the Tafseer of all of that. But to reap such compliance to reap such obedience, there's a lot of
hard work a lot of investing that needs to be done. But the child responds with complete compliance
to the Command of Allah and Allah mentions the Quran Kalama

00:44:39 --> 00:44:58
			father and son both Allah Muslimah the word used is from Islam and Muslim when they submitted their
will Unto Allah. The blind man Islam did not go on to argue with Allah Allah, Allah am your kalila
and you're asking me to slaughter my son. It's not logical. No, the child did not go to apply his
logic they submitted to the will of Allah

00:45:00 --> 00:45:02
			What Allah who will intervene and now he has placed the child

00:45:04 --> 00:45:12
			facing downwards. Why? Because he couldn't bring himself to make eye contact with the child. Just
imagine just imagine your son your child.

00:45:15 --> 00:45:16
			And as he was about to

00:45:18 --> 00:45:26
			go ahead with the commandment of Allah Walker, they will be the behind them remember, it is not the
blood that Allah

00:45:27 --> 00:45:39
			needs from you or the flesh, Lady and Allah, Allah Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah, Allah Allah
Who Taqwa infirmities, your God consciousness, it is that submission that Allah is looking for.

00:45:40 --> 00:45:52
			The slaughter was immediately a ransom with a rhyme Wafaa Dana will be the behind our team. A ram
was slaughtered, the command was immediately issued, that are rammed to be slaughtered in place of
his mind.

00:45:54 --> 00:45:58
			But I want you all to contemplate on this for a moment. If

00:45:59 --> 00:46:06
			you were in the place of Brian malice that was salam. And if you are asked to slaughter your son,

00:46:07 --> 00:46:09
			your firstborn, your elders?

00:46:10 --> 00:46:14
			Is it something that you your heart could allow you to do it for the sake of Allah

00:46:17 --> 00:46:19
			and make gratitude that it is not your

00:46:21 --> 00:46:25
			child that you have been asked to slaughter but rather an animal,

00:46:26 --> 00:46:41
			you have been asked to slaughter an animal. And there are last few objectives behind it to you're
not just slaughtering an animal in vain. There are certain cultures that spill blood, you know, in
when we're not doing that.

00:46:42 --> 00:46:45
			The meat is being used to feed the poor.

00:46:46 --> 00:46:55
			And at a time like this when the landscape is so challenging. I've been mentioning this in the past
few weeks, you know, because across our projects when we go give you a few instances.

00:46:57 --> 00:47:09
			One lady we we built a water solution for her through our Clean Water Project. She comes and she
tells us that you know if it is possible, if you can build us a toilet

00:47:10 --> 00:47:11
			because we don't have

00:47:13 --> 00:47:14
			a toilet

00:47:15 --> 00:47:16
			all these

00:47:17 --> 00:47:44
			days when she has two young daughters, she's like when they were small. They used to go to the
fields. And by the way, I'm not talking about Africa, Ethiopia, Somalia, I'm talking about Sri
Lanka. I'm talking about perhaps towards Bonilla, Tapu Trincomalee, and the developed areas people
are living in so much of hardship, they used to go to the fields and relieve themselves but now the
girls have come of age

00:47:46 --> 00:48:15
			and there have been instances when they have tried to do that. There have been attempts to whip them
sexually abused them so now they're going to a toilet in the village it's kind of like a public
toilet in my own house where everybody comes and she was in tears she was saying just the other day
my daughter came and told me that while she was in the toilet there were men looking from on from
the from the you know the ceiling.

00:48:17 --> 00:48:25
			Now I want you all to think we have you see in those areas they're not heard of attached bathrooms
generally their toilets outside we have attached

00:48:27 --> 00:48:32
			in our bedroom, and sometimes they love the bathrooms are more luxurious than the bedrooms.

00:48:33 --> 00:48:43
			But these people are in so much of difficulty. Don't Don't Don't you think that you have a
responsibility to fulfill my dear brother. If Allah has given you don't you think you have a
responsibility to fulfill

00:48:44 --> 00:49:20
			this time and two, three weeks ago when we when I went on the food project, we distributed dry
rations, rice, dal and things led again another video she comes she's in tears. I think I think I
posted a recording of her. Her please the audio or it was a video with her video being blurred. Her
expressions were not visible just to create an awareness because you know why we're doing this a lot
of us we are in a bubble. Now that bubble is bursting because we are all in difficulty. Okay, but
otherwise we are all in a bubble. You open the first set you have cold water hot water.

00:49:23 --> 00:49:32
			Open the refrigerator varieties of meat. This lady tells us that she and her children have not had
meat since the last COVID locked down.

00:49:34 --> 00:49:35
			I couldn't believe my ears.

00:49:37 --> 00:49:46
			Now you might be thinking but they have animals. They have animals but they don't. They can't afford
the luxury of eating those animals. They need those animals for milking.

00:49:47 --> 00:49:59
			And then they sell the milk for a little bit of money. So they can't afford to slaughter the animal
and eat it. But you and I we have a main menu set across the week Right? chicken, beef shrimp

00:50:00 --> 00:50:06
			This that. But there are people who have no access to me. So in a season like this with all the hair

00:50:09 --> 00:50:11
			you see with all the hair made.

00:50:12 --> 00:50:50
			The normal guideline is when you give us here, you divided into three, one portion for yourself, one
portion for your friends and family and one portion for the poor. But in today's context, it's very
challenging to do that. Why? Because in most parts of the world, you have a lot of legal
restrictions, you can't just bring a bull and slaughter the bull in your backyard and start
distributing it like that. So it has to be done in an organized way. So therefore, in such a
situation, it is always best to prioritize the poor, if you can give everything to the poor, well
and good. Why? Because you and I were eating meat almost every other day, at least, at least one

00:50:50 --> 00:50:56
			meal, we have some form of meat. But there are people like this. Again, this is not in some

00:50:58 --> 00:51:06
			unknown part of the world in four hours, drive five hours drive six hours drive away, there are
people who are not having meat to eat.

00:51:08 --> 00:51:29
			So this responsibility is on our shoulders, my dear brothers and sisters. So at a time like this, it
depends again, on each one's financial capacity, there may be people who are who are able to give in
the millions, there are people who are able to give them 1000s, there are people who are able to
give in the hundreds, every penny counts towards bringing a positive change. And this is how the
Prophet did it.

00:51:30 --> 00:51:32
			He would fundraise.

00:51:34 --> 00:52:14
			Once he was addressing the Sahaba, there was a group of people who came so poor, and in so much of
difficulty, His face changed. He couldn't bear to see them there was so much of empathy. He
immediately called that the prayer be established. And after the prayer, he gets up and he
announces, everybody bring whatever they can bring. There are those who bought gold coins, there
were those who brought a handful of dates, everything was heaped as one heap. And only then the
prophets face lit up. And then he had it distributed to all the poor people who had come from a
tribe, they were poor people, their bodies had shriveled because of hunger, immediately the Prophet

00:52:14 --> 00:52:22
			acted upon it. So at a time like this, I know you might be thinking, counter intuitive, I need to be
holding for myself and my family.

00:52:25 --> 00:52:26
			In doing that,

00:52:28 --> 00:52:39
			don't forget the needy. Don't forget, the less fortunate. Don't forget your neighbors who are
hungry, don't forget the poor, the full Cara, the Messiah kin.

00:52:40 --> 00:52:49
			So as you can see, this season is multifaceted, we can do so much of good. And the Promise of Allah
let me let me remind you of that and conclude.

00:52:50 --> 00:53:00
			You give Allah will give you many fold in return. The world is saying that no one has become poor by
giving. Allah is saying you give, I'll give you 10 times more.

00:53:01 --> 00:53:03
			So why should we doubt

00:53:04 --> 00:53:15
			you give you will get many fold in return. So spend for the sake of Allah, spend and have the right
intention. Remember, if you're doing it for CSR,

00:53:17 --> 00:53:18
			if you're doing it for

00:53:20 --> 00:53:58
			to get your company name out there, or your name out there. You see one thing is if it's a
charitable organization, they have to do it to get their name out there, why not for anything else,
not that shareholders are now going to come and start buying the charity so that they can fundraise
more people have to understand the differences. But if you're a business and you go put your name
out there, you're doing it for credit, you're not doing it to fundraise because you're doing it out
of your own money. So you understand the difference here. When you're doing it collectively, there
is no harm in showing the progress to the people. But if it's your own funds, your own money, that's

00:53:58 --> 00:54:09
			where the teachings where you know what the right hand gives the left hand should not know because
people sometimes ask us, you know, you had the Hadith, what the right hand gives the 10 should not
know that. Why are you

00:54:11 --> 00:54:15
			telling people then we have to tell people because this is not it's not only my money.

00:54:17 --> 00:54:20
			There are so many people coming together and doing it's a collective effort.

00:54:22 --> 00:54:29
			So we have to create an awareness, we have to tell the people about the situation we have to let
people understand that oh, this is the real situation out there.

00:54:31 --> 00:54:44
			So my dear brothers and sisters, I hope I was able to touch on the importance of the season. And in
terms of a few action items. I think we just have a few more minutes before they are done. Do we
have any questions that we can take? Have you received any questions? Yes.
