Connected to the Al Maeda project or project
Maeda.
And, we have a number of of, subhanAllah,
sterling workers in the community,
and they have beautiful projects and this is
but one of them, insha'Allah. So tonight being
a possible Laylatul Qadr night, we are very
privileged to have Mulla Muadh Ali with us,
and a number of other guests who will
be joining us online.
Mullah Muad is with me in studio. Alhamdulillah.
We'll bring him on in just a moment.
And, we we really appreciate
that you spending your 21st night of Ramadan
with us. It's a potential Lelekadir
night. May Allah
grant us his afu, his malkhira, his rahma,
and 8kumina nar. And, may we be from
among those who are saved on this night.
I mean,
without any further ado,
we have Malama'aib Ali, my beloved teacher.
It's really, really good to have Malena on
board with us.
Malena, inshallah, we'll be speaking about the, Project
Maeda this evening, inshallah,
and we'll first hear from Ma'ale Mazulfa.
Just as to what exactly
Project Ma'i Day is all about and what
what type of work do they do, you
know, inform the community, insha'Allah.
So let me bring her on.
Assalamu Alaikum Wa'alima.
Wa Alaikum Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah Malena. How
are you?
Good. Good. Alhamdulillah.
You know, subhanAllah, what can we say? It's
a 21st night of the month of Ramadan.
Alhamdulillah. I mean, the company of my teacher,
subhanallah,
for, you know, for such a long time,
subhanallah, and
just come from Tarawee.
The favors of Allah are innumerable. Alhamdulillah.
Masha'Allah. Alhamdulillah.
Okay, Mualima.
We are talking to the project Maeda team
tonight, Insha'allah, and you are spearheading this project.
Give us some idea of the type of
work, the nature of the work that you
guys do, and whatever you accomplished,
up until now, insha'Allah.
Okay. So I'll learn the shadeology and Bismillah.
So project
Maeda
basically started,
I would say we
we started in 2,008
with about 4,
recipients at the time.
It started out of my kitchen.
And,
yeah, I just wanted to do something for
people at the time of of of Eid,
specifically.
And then I went to went on to
study at and,
in our second year, Molina,
Khalil introduced, you know,
the Ta'aun project, you know, living Quran.
And so this is where it actually took
off, I would say.
And then Masha'allah. Yeah. In in 2019,
I basically still sought permission from Molina Ali
to being out on my own.
And, Yeah. From this point, it went from,
you know, where it started out in 2013.
A 100 people, it went to 3:30. And
then in 2020,
went all the way up to 600 recipients.
Sure. Sure. And so
and then so this year,
yeah, Rob.
This year, you know,
Project Minder is based on the hadith where
a source says that for as long as
the slave is in the assistance of another
slave, Allah will be in his assistance.
So the idea came about to instead of
us just having our 600,
you know, what about adding a few more
organizations?
And the idea was if we if we
add more organizations
to our database and assist them,
then, hopefully, Aloha will assist us and in
extension exist, assist them as well.
No. And so this is where it grew
from 600 to 2,200,
from Telila.
Yeah. So so yes. So so,
we hopeful
still to make our target.
We're not quite there yet.
But,
Allah is most amazing. And so Well, we
will make sure to make dua for that,
tonight inshallah.
Definitely definitely.
So
so, currently,
we are or at least last year, what
happened was
the intention was always to do, you know,
the project on a monthly basis. But financially,
we weren't by the mean.
And so last year after Eid,
Allah sent assistance, and we were able to
do this, on a monthly basis.
So now what we do is we,
supply 50 parcels to 50 families
on a monthly basis since after
last year Eid. And,
as you know, with the Hanif or Almar
Ho, with the Hanif Abrams,
he actually was a board member of Project
Mida as well.
And he was actually my biggest supporter
and my biggest encourager.
He would always say to me, I'm here
for you. My wife is here for you.
My family is here for you. You know?
Whatever you need. And it was just like
that,
So, we started a feeding program
right about the 1st week that he took
you.
You know? And the feeding program started because
it was for the and,
so.
So then from that time till now,
subsequently, I think we fed about 3,300
people just by feeding every Thursday.
And, so since the demise of Buddha Hanif
as well,
in that,
we also now from the gray, Molina. Still
doing good.
Still doing good.
You know, Marlene, we we would make jokes
and we would say, yeah, Rob. He's still
helping us. You know, he's still helping us
from the grave.
And, so yeah. So now,
something completely achieved happened in December.
In that,
we went with him, you know, for the
the the Atlantis and chats with drop offs.
And wherever we came, he said to all
the people, you know, I brought them here
so that you can see where they are.
And, in case anything happens to me, they
must carry on the work.
And I just remember saying to him, stop
it now. You know? You've done this enough
now. And at one point, he made so
so much to her for our health and
our strength and that if anything happens to
him, that the work must continue. You know?
And,
so ever since he passed away,
we are now
we started out with 1 soup kitchen. Now
there's 5 soup kitchens.
And so now we try to provide an
ingredients to cook. And, so this happens every
Monday Thursday.
And, it's it's been tough, you know, with
COVID. It's been very difficult.
So one month, we're able to give. Another
month, we're not able to give.
But
we do we we have a very good
team. You know?
Everybody works well together.
And they're very understandable. You know, if there's
nothing.
I mean, I mean, they really understanding if
there's nothing, you know, then, you know, they
they they understand that. So, But,
you feel bad.
No. Yes, Malena. Waleema, tell tell me if
the community wants to get involved in in
in such an amazing endeavor, how can they
do so?
At the moment, Molina, with COVID, it's it's
it's very difficult.
So,
we try to obviously do the social distancing
and everything.
But, at this moment in time, especially now
with the with the Eid parcels,
we basically need,
people to assist us with the packing.
Right. Right.
People to assist with the packing. How do
they how do they reach out to you?
So they can contact us on our on
our numbers. 081-762
Can you can you perhaps can you perhaps
leave it for us as a comment? Okay.
Let me know that.
Can you say it first?
So 081
081.
762
Yes.
7, double 82.
7, double 82.
So I'll have that as a comment.
That's, project Maeda.
Yeah. Insha'Allah, and if people want to contribute,
can they also reach out to you to
get those details, or will you leave it
for us in a comment, insha'Allah?
I can leave it I can leave it
as a comment, inshallah, and not a problem,
inshallah. Khair. May Allah take you guys some
strength to strength and, grant
a discussion on the importance of sadaqah. JazakAllah
Khairn Tekii.
Okay, Marena, Bismillah Rahim.
So that is an amazing endeavor from the
community. SubhanAllah, as we said, Al Marhombuth Hanif
is still at it.
He's still at it, and, nam.
So
any comments from Amal's side on this type
of initiatives and the importance that they that
they play in the communities?
Okay. The number of things that, I would
like to say.
Number 1, during the month of Ramadan,
we all have become aware
of the importance of building a relationship with
Allah.
So we are doing this via fasting.
We are doing this via qiyamulayl
and, etcetera.
At the same time, we need to understand
that, the whole of Din,
it is actually a relationship with somebody,
and that relationship is always one of 2
kinds, either a relationship with the creator
or a relationship with creation. No. And, unfortunately,
many people are neglecting the second part. Do
you understand? We're striving for piety
with building a relationship with Allah,
but we forget that part and parcel of
building a relationship with Allah is building a
relationship with Allah's beloveds.
No. Like for example, Allah says it very
clearly in the Quran.
You will never attain to piety
until you spend of that which you love.
Mhmm.
100%.
So that spending is done upon whom?
That spending is not done directly towards Allah
because Allah does not need a rizik from
us. Allah doesn't need to be fed. Allah
doesn't need our money. Though Allah does sometimes
speak in such a manner No. But rather
what Allah means is Allah wants us to
spend in the path of Allah.
Allah wants us to spend upon the poor
and the needy,
the naked, the hungry,
etcetera.
And, this is also why the prophet
said,
No. None of you is really has iman.
You don't have complete iman. Until you love
for your brother what you love for yourself.
And,
yes, it does mean your Muslim brother, your
Muslim sister, but it also means your brother
in humanity.
Anybody out there that is in need. And
not even just, humans, even animals,
where the prophet clearly stated
that,
if you give sadaqa on anything that has
a hoist lover, meaning any living creature,
you understand that that is still a thing
that is that is considered immense in the
sight of Allah. It isn't a thing that
you that you that you should look down,
upon.
And here, Molina, I would just, like to
bring your attention to something very interesting.
Allah tells us in the Quran,
that we should spin before we pass away.
You understand? Allah tells in the Quran we
should spin before we pass away.
Because when you have passed away, we're going
to be asking Allah that cannot Allah grant
us a slight delay? Just a slight delay.
No. And then in that slight delay,
amazingly,
the deceased will want to do 2 things.
No. He will want to give charity, and
he will want to be of the pious.
I see to be of the pious, that
is all the good things that you can
imagine. Whether it is salah, whether it is
fasting,
whether it is recital of Quran.
But Allah then goes and Allah mentions one
act specifically,
and that act is the act of sadaqa.
No. So why should the deceased be so
focused on sadaqah? Now here there are numerous
reasons,
but the obvious reason is this.
We as humans tend to think that the
money the money in my bank account is
mine. Mhmm. The money in my pocket is
mine. Mhmm. But the day you die,
as much as your wife loves you,
as much as your husband loves you, as
much as your parents love you, as much
as your children love you, they will reach
into your pocket and they will take that
money. Yes. I know. That money will no
longer be yours. Your That money will now
be inheritance,
and it will pass on to them. You
understand? So who knows this best? The person
that has died.
The person that has died that placed so
much trust in the money in his bank
account No. The money in his pocket, he
suddenly realizes that that money has gone up
in smoke. Yes, I love. You understand? While
that money should have been spent in the
path of Allah. And Allah is most generous.
Allah is not asking you to spend of
what you need.
You understand? Whatever you need
to maintain your body, whatever you need to
clothe your nakedness,
whatever you need to house yourself and your
family,
go ahead. And take a little bit extra
to enjoy yourself also. But whatever is in
excess of your need, ever thought for your
fellow Muslim, ever thought for your fellow human,
ever thought for your fellow animal out there?
No. And especially as we come to the
end of Ramadan,
the prophet
has advised us with fitra.
And, the teaching of the prophet is that
it it fulfills two purposes amongst many others.
Number 1, it is a tuharah.
It is a means of purifying yourself from
any sin that you might have committed during
the month of Ramadan.
Any deficiency
that might have applied to your fasting to
to make up for a deficiency. You understand?
By introducing
new reward. And then it is a.
It is a means of feeding the poor.
Mhmm. And here we have to really think.
We have to really think.
We in Cape Town are the people.
We like to celebrate.
Mhmm. You understand? And
Right. You understand? So when Eid comes, then
we go to town. You understand? We feast
like there's no tomorrow. Yeah. Eid comes. And
the way we dress, Allahu Akbar.
Now I don't want to go too deeply
into that,
but I just want to say, is it
right and proper that we should look like
kings and queens? Mhmm. And we should dine
like princes and princesses.
But out there, there's somebody poor that that
that that that is a Muslim, and that
person is not gonna be eating today. There's
somebody out there that person is struggling to
cover themselves and protect themselves against the the
elements.
And here is where certain projects like project
Ma'ida comes into play. Allahu Akbar.
One of the reasons this project is is
is close and dear to my heart, and
I'll just mention too quickly, is number 1,
because it is this it is led by
females. And this is what we need in
a Muslim community. Right. Well, I said, alhamdulillah,
we've had learned and strong men
that they they they they have carried the
flag.
But it it is idiocy to allow 50%
of the Muslim community to stagnate. Okay. You
understand? They need to come to the front.
You understand? And they need to do things.
So this is one of those projects,
spearheaded
by females with males in the background. No.
And that automatically brings me to to to
the second issue, with the Hanif being one
of those males in the background. And we've
had a separate program just on with the
Hanif, the wonderful man that he was, the
dawah that he did for for Allah's deen.
And this is part and parcel of his
legacy.
You understand?
The fact that people are still fed.
And he he was he was one of
the the the initial,
he was one of the initiators,
of this effort. And, yeah, we really commend,
sister Zulfa,
for picking up the flag,
after buta Hanif was forced to drop it
due to death.
You understand that she had picked up this
flag, and we are very, very, very proud
of her.
And and the efforts, Allahu Akbar.
All of us are trying to assist in
in in in small little ways, whatever way
we can. But, really, at this moment in
time, she's spearheading the the the the the
the effort.
And,
we we make dua that Allah rewards her
I mean most handsomely. And Allah grants her
the highest jannah
whenever she passes away, that Allah overlooks any
defects on her side. And
whatever efforts she started, this effort continues until
the day of Qiyamah. Mhmm. I I really
look forward
to one day when we are dead
and we are lying in our graves, and
then the reward is just falling into the
grave. Mhmm. Do you understand? And then you're
wondering, Allahu Akbar, what is this? What is
this? I didn't do this. I didn't do
that. How is it that I'm getting reward?
But alhamdulillah, this is the beauty of Allah's
deed.
Whosoever sets a good example,
in Islam,
he gets the reward of it.
And he gets the reward to whosoever
emulates him and acts in accordance
with the example that he set until the
day of Qiyamah.
So,
my son likes to call it free rewards.
I don't know if it's exactly free rewards,
but,
a reward that you made minimal effort. Right.
That you just set the example and Allah
knows best. At this moment, insha'Allah,
Buddha Hanif is enjoying that. Oh, lord. Insha'Allah,
whoever is involved in this effort to make
dua, that Allah grants them this opportunity as
well. May whatever be said tonight, may it
enter the hearts
of some who are able to afford,
to give that extra in this path, Inshallah.
Amen. And maybe an effort that continues,
until the day of
I mean, please please, You Rabbi, You Abu
Dua. And these are the banking details of
project Maeda.
And that's
sister Zulfa who actually posted that, so you
can just take those details there, insha'Allah.
Mawlana, I'd like to bring on since Mawlana
mentioned that this organization is led by females,
and that's one of the outstanding qualities,
that really makes Malena so excited about this
and enthusiastic about the project. So we have
with us, Shaykh Horukhaia Samsiddeen,
and, Malabdrazak,
who we will bring on a bit later,
inshaAllah ta'ala. And then Shaykh Horukhaia,
she, she can tell us about her involvement
at the, Project Maida, InshaAllah Bismillah.
Assalamu Alaikum Huttla Yur Rakatu.
My involvement,
with, project Maeda.
No. Sheikha. You're going straight into the straight
into the formal,
speech. I was like, yes. I still wanted
to ask you how you're doing and how's
the Ramadan going and everything.
Are you well? It's been a while since
we've had you on the platform.
Accept our deeds. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. We
must get you on again to speak to
us about studying in in, Dimashk. I enjoyed
that so much. SubhanAllah.
And many others,
said, you know, that they also benefited from
your experiences there, Masha'Allah.
That
we
Khayat, please tell us about your involvement in
the project Maeda, inshaAllah,
and why people should support this cause?
Right. Before that, I just want to say
everybody, especially to my hostel
studio.
My involvement,
with project Maeda and with is
coming along,
you know, for for many years.
Alhamdulillah.
And, it's something that my my my my
my my my Zulfa, you know, has always
been involved in
in some kind of a level.
And there's something
together
first as I think I was a teacher
and then we became colleagues and alhamdulillah
to the point now we'll be working together
at Project Maeda.
But something which I told us, subhanAllah, this
is really your talent. Like you need to
take it further. You have the ability to
manage and you just, subhanAllah, you know everybody
and you know what is needed and you
know exactly how to block the holes. Subhanallah.
Allah,
perhaps granted me the ability to,
you know, teach and and be in a
classroom.
And, you know,
be a leader in in in that way,
but this is your full day, Marley, man.
You really needed to take it further. Alright.
And
this has always been what I've said and
I never said it. And everybody around her
really.
Alhamdulillah, she has always been involved in in
these kind of schemes, feeding schemes and even
at the Naim, you know, at the
around the corner always making sure that everybody
seem to. So this has always been a
concern of Mahali Mazena, Iran Mazova specifically.
And alhamdulillah,
she had the support of everybody around her,
but she was really the one that spearheaded
these kind of initiatives
until it really culminated
in in in project Maeda, you know, the
last year so
that she has spearheaded
this project, alhamdulillah.
And it's really been growing from Saint to
Saint, and
the the the backing and support behind,
alhamdulillah really speaks about the sincerity of her
work
intention and the hard work she puts in
in the background. Alhamdulillah.
Jazakamullah Khayron for that insight,
Sheikh Harukaya.
Do you have any word of encouragement for
our
viewers tonight, in terms of sadaqah, especially towards
this beautiful organization, and in general as well,
insha'Allah?
You know,
thinking about,
this project.
And, yes, it has,
you know, many
people involved in the project. And I think
what is unique about this project for many
people and what really, like, stuck support in
people's hearts is the connection
to Buta Hanif. And I think for many
reasons,
and I want to,
maybe just touch on 1 or 2 points.
I think it's the fact that for me
personally,
Potehanif was my one of the most alive
people that I knew.
Buddha Hanif was always full of energy,
in the spontaneity,
always ready to assist, subhanAllah.
Whatever the crisis, Buddha Hanif is the one
to call. And I think when
Allah
called the with the Hanifa back and Allah
granted
him,
it it kind of hit a lot of
people in the sense that,
but the Hanif isn't there anymore. And that
reality, which we do know, of,
you know, that certainly death shall come to
all of us and we shall all taste
it. I think that's reality kind of, set
in for a lot of people. And, he
is, you know, the inspiration
for for all of us and for many
of us on this project, really, to try
to do as much as we can in
the temporary life that Allah
has granted us on this dunya.
And and and we remember the the the
the person on the Quran Allah subhanahu dialysis.
Whatever you have given forth of goodness for
yourself,
Not for others. I think that is so,
it's
so profound that everything we do, it's for
ourselves,
for our own for, you know, we kind
of securing as much as we can with
our Allah's
bounty and his mercy, our
for evil we have put forth in this
dunya. So I think that is really,
the near behind everything that yes, as well
as with and modern
to always be in the assistance of others
as if we are in the assistance in
assistance of others, insha'Allah,
Allah
will be in our assistance. That's the one
point. And the other point, to know that
we want to lead productive
lives,
lives that when Allah
takes us away from this dunya that we
have left something behind that can continue to
benefit us. And maybe in a final note,
I always think of, you know, many scholars
and I think of Imam Sheykhir alrahima wa
ta'ala, you know, 54 years. You know, it
doesn't matter how many years we answer, but
what are we leaving behind? Message. We we
should slap you productive.
It doesn't mean that everybody must be teaching
and
and and Arabic and from the members or
from the classrooms. But, you know, there's a
place,
and for everyone. And, subhanAllah,
this is really, as I said, a calling
for Ma'alimazain and Ma'alimazafa
Ma'am,
I'm mentioning Ma'ali Mazain all the time because
they are always together
with this project. Ma'ali Mazulfa, so so calling
for her
us of Allah that
those who are listening,
and whom Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala has granted
the favor to be in a position to
give that they give. And just one last
comment, you spoke about Damascus. I'll just leave
one snippet here, Insha'Allah. One thing I remember
about Damascus walking around in the past, you
know, in in in the, you know, I
didn't know much Arabic, and I just came
to the country. And even
those who were asking and wanting, you know,
immediately, they don't they wouldn't say give me
money. But you
said,
give
me
give me the biggest as you say, give
me give me of the.
Love you.
We ask Allah allow us, you know, that,
cognizance, Insha'Allah, and that consciousness
of and that everything we have is a
trust from Allah
and a gift and a blessing. And if
we are grateful for that, then inshallah,
Allah will increase us. Amen. Amen.
It is a privilege and pleasure to have
you with us again, inshallah. You should do
this again sometime with our other discussion, inshallah,
and, we thank you for being, 21st night
of Ramadan. Please keep us in your duas,
and we'll keep you in ours, inshallah.
Likewise.
SubhanAllah,
some inspirational,
words there and and stories from, Sheikh Ruqaiyah.
I
just wanted to add, Mawlana,
that the prophet
has said
that that,
no act of charity has ever decreased the
wealth of anyone. Right. Right. So this is
one of the the the biggest problems when
it comes to, encouraging people to spend in
the path of Allah. But I always worried,
what will be left? Will there be enough
left, for me? Yeah. But,
Allah reminds us
that, the treasures of risk that are that
are infinite, it lies in his hands.
And, Allah's promise is that whatever you spend
in the path of Allah and whatever you
do to please Allah, minimum reward is times
10.
And there was a Sahabi, I forget his
name now.
He had this practice that, at the most
difficult moments in his life, when he had
the least possible money,
he would actually give that money in charity.
And one day, another Sahabi rebuked him and
said,
why are you giving your money away? You're
the poorest man in this city.
You understand? People should actually be giving you
money. Of course. And then he said that
when I learned this hadith, that whatever you
do for Allah, Allah gives you minimum 10
times 10 reward.
I discovered that whenever I give money in
the path of Allah, Allah sends back money
at least 10 times there. Yes. Hello. And
while we were discussing this,
the monies that they had given in charity,
somebody actually came and gave him money. And
when they were they counted it, it was
exactly 10 times the amount Wow. That he
had given.
Then also, I would like to add,
based upon what I previously said,
that spending upon Allah's creatures, Allah takes it
personally.
There's hadith and Sahih Muslim
where the prophet of Allah says that Allah
will say on the day of qiyamah, Allah
will say to a man
that I was sick, but you didn't visit
me. I was hungry, but you didn't feed
me. I was thirsty, and you didn't give
me to drink.
And then this man will respond to Allah,
and he will say, oh, Allah,
how can you get sick? You are Abu
al Amin. You are the lord and creator
of all things.
How can you be hungry? You are Abu
al Amin. How can you be thirsty? You
are Abu al Amin. And then Allah's response
will be, well, there was a slave of
mine that was sick,
Had you visited him, you would have found
Mireh.
He was a slave of mine that was
hungry and asked you to feed him, and
you fed him, you would have found Mireh.
He was a slave of mine that was
thirsty. Had you given him to drink, you
would have found me there.
So what we understand from this hadith is
that when we yawp any poor person, it
is as if we are yawping Allah. Allah
takes it
personally. Allah. And in relation to this, Allah
says in the Quran also
that, who is there that will would make
Allah a good loan?
A good loan. No. You understand? Even even
even the statement Allahu Akbar, it just blows
you away. Yes. To make Allah a good
loan. How can I make Allah a good
loan? Yeah. When everything I possess, it is
the property of Allah. Subhanallah. And if Allah
wants to take it, who is there to
resist him?
But you see, this is the gift that
we can give Allah. The gift that even
an angel cannot give Allah. Yeah, rob. And
that is willing obedience.
No. You understand? Turning away from disobedience and
entering into willing obedience. This is the gift
that we can give Allah. The unique gift
that we as humans and as the jinn
possess.
The angels do not possess the ability to
disobey. They are only in the obedience of
Allah. So obviously, that is higher and that
is barakah.
But you see the fact that they cannot
disobey, it limits them to a certain degree.
Right. And when we choose to obey by
the grace of Allah, we ascend to higher
than the angels. Yes, I love it. And,
Allah knows best. So certainly, we are encouraging
people that does Ramadan.
Do not just focus on fasting. Do not
just focus on tilawah.
Focus also on sadaqah. Mhmm. You understand? And
we are asking you that project Ma'ida,
it is it is a it is a
very,
worthy
cause Agreed.
For you to put your money in. It
is going to be feeding people, especially on
the day of Eid. And this is a
continuous effort where people are fed throughout the
year. So, please, we do encourage you in
whatever small way, even if it is a
50¢,
even if it is a 1000000. It it's
hard actually for me to imagine that
there are actually people who don't have food
on Eid,
good people who fast in Ramadan
and who pray tarawee,
and they have maybe
dry bread in the house, maybe wheat pigs
in the house. That's what they have and
they ever eat.
The the unfortunate reality, Molena, is that, we
supposed to be the middle class of the
year 2021.
We live like
like pharaohs.
Absolutely. Like, I I tell people
that if I were to meet pharaoh today,
pharaoh would be impressed by me. Subhanallah. I'm
saying that to meet pharaoh today. It is
actually If pharaoh wanted to know what is
happening in a distant country, he has to
send a man on a horseback. And the
man travels 6 months and then 6 months
back. Yes. I just pick up my cell
phone instantly. What's happening in China? What's happening
in India? You don't even need to pick
it up. And then you can just say,
okay, Google. And then it then it's oh,
y'all. I think my phone is gonna do
that now. Yeah. I can just I can
just speak to him and then he responds.
Right. The same thing if if if pharaoh
wanted water, you would have to send somebody
to the Raven Nile to collect water for
him. Yes. Absolutely. I just turn my tap.
In fact, if you have the right tap,
you can just turn it to the left,
cold water. Turn it to the right Or
the sensor the sensor underneath. Sensor even then.
No need to some people just speak to
the also, and and then the tap gives
water.
And the same thing with light. If your
aunt wanted light, somebody had to make a
bonfire that you stick of, stick into it
and bring it inside,
wherever he was staying. But in my case,
I just I just flick a button.
Some of us don't even do that. We
just
and then the light is on. Oh, and
the light is on. So we live in
an age where pharaoh,
the pharaohs of the past, the would
be impressed by us. Yes, sir.
But, unfortunately, at the same time, there are
people, they don't have a roof over their
head.
There are people that cannot cover their aura
properly.
They have nowhere to toilet.
We understand they are toileting in the pants,
and then we are disgusted by them. We
don't want them close to us.
We understand because they have dirtied themselves,
but we have no understanding of their condition.
And this is one of the the the
elements of fasting.
You understand?
I've noticed that in the year 2020, we
are constantly nibbling constantly nibbling. It doesn't matter
where you are. You can be in a
daras also. You're nibbling nibbling nibbling nibbling.
But Ramadan
forces you
to face hunger
and to understand what hunger is all about.
Hung. And what is our hunger compared to
the hunger?
A hunger that is only going from dawn
until sunset. What is that compared to a
man that's been angry for 3 days Sure.
Or 5 days or 6 days? Just give
you an example, Molena.
I have a friend. His name is Ismail
Khan,
and he likes cats.
So he adopted a cat from the street.
I think the cat's name was Snowy.
And he had 2 cats that he raised
since young. So he would have 3 bowls
of food for the cats, and he would
throw food in each bowl. And the 2
cats that he had since young, they would
eat only enough, and then they would walk
away. And then every now and then, they
will come back to the bowl and they
would nibble.
But the cat that he took from the
street, that cat would eat up all her
food. Sure. Then she would eat up all
the food in the second bowl. Yeah. And
she would eat up all the food in
the third bowl. Then he continued feeding, and
she would just eat and eat and eat
and eat until she reached the point where
her stomach couldn't take it and she would
vomit it out. Yeah, Allah. You understand?
And it continued like this for months.
And then he asked me, I don't understand
the behavior of this cat. So I said,
you see Ishmael? You don't know the nature
of this cat.
This cat is a cat that was in
the street,
and this cat was used to to going
without food for days
on end. So the law of this cat
was that whenever this cat comes across food,
it must gorge itself.
You understand? It must eat the max that
it can possibly eat because it doesn't know
when it will eat again. You understand?
Now I'm speaking about the kid. Yeah. But
at the end of the day, there are
human brothers out there as well. Do you
understand that are in similar circumstances? Sure. And
any effort that is out there to assist
people, Insha'Allah.
And it doesn't need to be
a religion, meaning only after Muslims.
You understand? Or only after certain class of
people. Manana, I must just ask quickly. Where
does Malena get Malena's analogies from?
1 of the one of the viewers also
commented.
I can't I can't remember what the comment
was exactly, but Mawlana Mu'ad, my favorite teacher,
that he always makes the best analogies. And
I a 100% agree, but where does Mawlana
think of these things? Like, is does it
just come? Like, subhanAllah.
Allah knows best. Allah knows best. I I
I don't think about it.
Rather to me, it is just me trying
to understand life. Right. Understand? So so anything
that comes my way, I try to understand
how does this work. Okay. Like, the issue
of this cat now Right. I'm trying to
understand why is the cat like this. Sure.
Sure. You have a home now. You have
comfort now. Right. You have constant food now.
Why do you still behave like this? Right.
So it's ingrained,
in the cat. And and this introduces something
else, for me as well.
Frequently, we want to make tzedakah. Right. But
we're very harsh on the people
that that that that that make sadaqa too.
We always create lots of conditions, lots of
rules Yes. Before we give them something.
And,
here, what I've learned from the Quran and
Hadith, and I would I would like to
make this recommendation,
is that poor people, when you have need
to beg number 1, only beg when you
need to. You understand? It is improper in
Islam to beg if you are able to
earn for yourself. Mhmm. The hadith clearly states
that if you are begging, you have no
need to beg.
That you will appear on the day of
qiyamah with no meat on your face.
And we can either take this in a
literal way or figurative way. In a figurative
way, it would mean that you would be
a person,
that that there's no respect, that there's no
honor.
But most of them are take it in
a literal way because there's no good reason
to to to take it in a figurative
way. And that is that it will appear
on the day of qiyama with a with
a with a skeleton face, a skull basically.
And the reason for that is you had
no self respect. Right. A man or woman
that has self respect, they will not beg
if they are able to earn for themselves.
And the second problem with that is if
you are begging while you are able to
earn for yourself and you have enough money,
then money that should go in the hand
of the actually poor person,
the actually hungry person, that money is now
going your way. Mhmm. So number 1, we
want to say to people,
make an effort to earn your own. Right.
Have self respect.
Educate yourself. Develop yourself so that you can
earn for yourself. So that is on the
side of the poor. On the side of
of people that are not of the poor,
do not make these excessive conditions,
to assist the poor. Right. At any given
moment in time, if you don't know for
sure, give people the benefit of the doubt.
Yeah. Yeah.
So do not do not follow-up your your
your charity with money desiring things from people.
Yes. They must now do stuff for you
Yes. While other and by causing them harm.
Yeah. Like like like speaking, badly to them
and, and so forth.
Even if you know for a fact somebody
is a drunkard,
then then give
in a beautiful fashion. Good day. Call to
the path of your Lord using wisdom.
You understand?
But, in most cases, we don't know for
a fact. We just see somebody walking down
the road and he's not walking properly, and
then we assume, it's a tick up. You
understand?
Or, maybe we get a certain smell. Now
the smell could be anything, and then we
just assume
as vain. You understand? And we ill treat
people and we shout at them,
and so forth. So what I want to
say is this,
insha'allah,
if you are able to assist your fellow
Muslim, your fellow human being, then do so.
And try to do so in the best
of manners. Yeah. But if you're unable to
assist them, then give them a kind word.
Allahu Akbar. Give them the sadaqa of a
kind word. Allahu Akbar. Tell them, my brother,
I understand your plight. I have limited means.
I cannot assist you today. Inshallah tomorrow. I
mean, even even at home, like,
at home, you know, charity begins at home.
Yes. So begin at home. And if you
can't afford to make sadaqah at home, in
other ways,
speak kindly to your family.
SubhanAllah. Like,
I mean, when last did you have, like,
a beautiful kind conversation with your spouse? You
know, just sit and and speak kindly.
This is the problem in the year 2021.
The people that we claim to love,
minor mistakes they make, we jump. Yeah. We
exercise. Absolutely. Our tongues are sharp. You understand?
But when they do good things, we make
as if we didn't notice. Uh-huh. You understand?
There's something seriously wrong here. Sure. That's sick
now? There's something seriously wrong here. That's sick.
So this is this is the message that
I want to put out there.
It doesn't need to be money, man. Exactly.
It doesn't need to be money. You can
say something good. You can uplift somebody.
You could take care of your brother and
take him to somebody else's house that you
know has excess money and is willing to
spend. Yeah. You don't need to be the
one, but you can be the the the
the the the the the the intercessor. Yeah.
We'll make the ummah a better place. Yeah.
And Allah knows best. But there's always something
you can do for somebody else, man. Allah.
Even if it is a kind word.
And Allahu Akbar, I really have to commend
that there are certain people here in Cape
Town, Allahu Akbar. They are truly of Allah's
pious Yeah. People. They are truly of Allah's
generous people, and I make dua Allah puts
higher and barakah in their lives and increases
them in the dunya Amen.
And in the. Amen. I said this with
the Hanif's
with me, I did the Hanif's presentation.
But I I say this here also. There
are some people that perhaps have a little
bit of prominence. There are the people that
are speaking from the members. Right. There are
the people that are teaching the lessons, etcetera.
But,
I wouldn't be surprised
if certain people that are unknown to the
community, known only to Allah. And these people
are the leaders on the day of Piama.
Sure. You understand? I wouldn't be surprised.
And I would be perfectly happy
if I can go to the place that
people like Putah Hanif and them are going
to. Uh-huh. Others that have made these sacrifices,
Allahu Akbar, I would be perfectly happy.
You understand? And, Allah knows best.
Everybody out there is a gift.
Everybody out there has something in them Correct.
That can make the world a better place.
Lord. You just need to figure out who
you are. You just need to figure out
which animal in the jungle you are. Subhanallah.
You understand? And give that benefit to the
dunya.
Like, I've said this before, and, it might
sound like an insult to some.
But when you look at a sinner
and you tell that sinner you are a
pig
I'm gonna say it in Afrikaans also. It's
a fard.
You understand? You're saying that to a sinner.
The pigs, if they could speak, they would
be insulted. Why would they be insulted? Because
they are obedient, sir, of Allah. You understand?
The reason Allah has created them
is to be walking, talking garbage cans. Yeah.
You understand? They are fulfilling their function. Subhanallah.
You understand? They are taking all of the
rubbish, all of that najasa,
and they are turning it into compost that
plants and and and other living creatures can
use. No. And then eventually, it becomes fruit,
and it becomes this, and it becomes that.
They are doing their job. They are in
the obedience of Allah. Mhmm. You understand? It
is we humans that are the problem. Yes,
salaam.
It is not coming
because crocodiles are smoking
cigarettes
or or
monkeys are using underarm
that is that is making holes in the
ocean. It is us. It is us.
That's what Allah says in the Quran. Absolutely.
Corruption has come in the land. Corruption has
come in the ocean due to what the
hands of men have wrought. Yeah.
And,
it
is only to make them taste some Excuse
me. Of the negative consequences over there then.
No. Absolutely. No. No. I just coughed, Monona,
that that expression. I mean, how didn't we
get up the earth in the sense, like,
with COVID and the lockdown?
The type of I don't know if Monona
knows about this, but there was so much
environmental
awakening
during that period.
I know somebody who's environmental
forensics
and he was telling us that,
it is,
it is phenomenal. Like, the turtles are coming
onto the shore, and it's amazing. Amazing. Yeah.
Just maybe step out of the way. The
cities, deers actually started running in the streets,
and all of that. So nature nature reclaimed
what what is what what belongs to it.
No. No. It was like dolphins in in
the harbor. So Yeah. Subhanallah. Love it.
Yeah. So, no, absolutely. I I couldn't, agree
more. Wallah, can we bring on Malab Duraza?
Thank you, Shailua. And, from him, inshallah, you're
serving me, sitting in the background and waiting
since the beginning of the program. Assalamu Alaikum
How are you doing?
How are my people doing?
My ad looks well.
Have a message for the people regarding sadaqa,
inshallah, encouragement towards sadaqa, Bismillah.
We're very blessed.
Tonight being the first, you know, odd nights,
the miss had mentioned that we should be
seeking little other, you know, in the old
nights, the last 10 minutes, the last 10
nights of Ramadan. And all that, inshallah, make
us from those inshallah, who shall benefit inshallah
from the hirat and then barakat to observe
the father, inshallah.
Normally, a human being asked himself,
apart from being obedient to Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala, first and foremost,
you know, as a believer, there are things
we have no choices in.
It's a commandment from Allah
So it's given.
So it's it's a commandment from Allah
And, of course, Morna, when we in in
beginning of
you know, things that Allah speaks about,
Allah speaks of 6 things, Morna, in that
first, you know, first few verses of.
It comes, you know, from that which, alhamdulillah,
we have sustained them with, they
spend. So that's one of the, you know,
the signs of,
but,
Morna, maybe sometimes Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, also
in the Quran,
and also in the sunan, in the hadith
of rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.
Yeah. Mind sometimes needs to understand what is
in store for me, not only in Ahura,
but in Duniya. Because all our sharia is
purpose oriented.
Allah does not only benefit for us in,
but we are going to reap some of
those benefits in this dunya. SubhanAllah. Especially if
we're obedient to Allah, we're going to have
a good life.
But but something I want you perhaps to
be, perhaps to mention
briefly.
1st and foremost,
as mentioned earlier on,
So mind my mind tells me that, you
know, for example, riba.
Allah says, yeah, yam habdullahriba
while you saw the pot. Allah destroys
Riba, but Allah
makes the the sadaqa to grow, to expand.
Oh, no. And, of course,
and, of course, Marna.
So so so the mind tells me one
thing, but the system of Allah, the divine,
you know, information is telling me another thing.
So what does a sound mind do?
It needs to trust, because if you look
at even the word
what are the root letters of that word?
Is one of the ways of manifestation
of the iman of the human being over
over over believers. SubhanAllah.
So I believe that Allah
gave me this wealth. And Allah is telling
me that in fact,
Spend, oh son of Adam, I shall spend
on you.
Allah.
And then
So in other
words, you're eating a fruit
So, you protect from the entire fruit. What
remains that seed? So, that seed, if you
plant that seed, you tell me,
When that tree grows
into branches,
how many fruits come out of that? Now
imagine Allah just want you to
yeah. Not everything, as mentioned
earlier on, especially in this month of
Ramadan. So we are Allah's giving us this,
the
we are striving very hard, exerting ourselves.
May Allah accept from us. Many of us,
we are you know, perhaps Allah, sometimes very
challenging to to to to complete a khatam
in a month.
Many Muslims, subhanAllah, with with all the weakness
that we have, many of us complete. In
fact, not a khatam, but many.
SubhanAllah. So we are putting that we are
putting we're getting taqwa. We are getting we
are putting we are loading so that, you
know, our bucket of you know, can increase.
So we can have enough to be able
to, push us through the year, the other
11 months. But, the problem is the bucket
is leaking.
Why? Yeah. Because Allah says you never attain
piety until you spend from that which you,
from that which you love.
So now I was thinking that you'll never
think that quietly. So we are striving hard,
but you're not spending. Now can you see?
So we are we are we are we
are hitting a wall. It's like, for example,
you're charging your phone, but the socket you
didn't put it on, So the phone is
there. Everything is connected, but this the switch
is not on.
So so so it's.
It is. And so what is in store?
That's what I wanted to speak about mainly
today,
perhaps this tonight. What is in store for
me?
The message narration,
That's
that if I spend without delay, then,
it stands in the way of a calamity.
In other words, calamity does not before me,
1st and foremost.
So I am
safe. And we all know, you you know
how we go out of our way to
put in terms of our vehicles, the alarms,
and and all that stuff, and and the
locks and our homes, our burglar bars, and
and and everything. When we go out of
our way to do all these things, Spend
a lot of money for protection and all
of this. And then there's the divine system.
Allah says spend, and it will stand in
the way of calamity to not befall you.
Subhanallah.
And
then at times of, you know, when we
have financial,
you know, challenges and difficulties, as Muhammad
mentioned, minimum.
In fact, it is proven not only words,
it's
proven that immediately you spend when Allah says,
it's it's it's very, very, very crucial. Okay,
Leave leave leave that leave alone that one.
We always looking for the help of Allah.
Everything we do, we raise our hands.
This is the the advice that the gave
to me.
The help of
Allah because if the whole world comes together,
they want to benefit you. Then, mister Walla
said, they will never benefit you except that
which Allah had decreed for you. And if
the whole world one comes together and they
want to harm you, they won't harm you
except that which Allah decreed for you. So
our everything we we are depend
Allah. We can't even blink an eye without
the permission of Allah.
The
message said,
can can
you.
Many Muslims now performing.
And we know that the value of
subhanallah. I see. The value of just one
one one day for Uh-uh.
Somebody
is, you know, put far away from from
the
now.
111 trench, the the the, you know, the
distance between the heavens and the earth. Just
one performing at the cap one day, that
much more. Allah puts you away from hellfire.
But what did the mess of Allah said
in the in the same hadith? If you
go out of a way to assist your
brother,
subhanallah, the reward that Allah is ready to,
subhanallah, is better than performing the kaf. Say,
I think in that generation, I speak another
question. 10
years reward.
Just going out of way to assist your
brother. 10 is better than 10 years you
can pick up. And
speaking about any place
Now you can imagine what's the value of
performing salah? What's the value of performing?
Okay. I want to come to the cover.
Now speaking about the dunya.
As I've
mentioned earlier on. How long are we are
we going to live in this world,
our lifespan,
say it's 6, 7 years. Say even a
100 years, Muna. But how long are we
going to be the power Muna? Allah knows
best. Subhanallah. Maybe 1000 to be us. Now
imagine the person who
the person is lying in the cover. How
can we spend 60, 70 say, 100 years
in this world? How much can you make?
How much appreciation can you can you how
much can you okay. You're Amala Limited. Just
imagine in the cover. The moment the project
that you are involved
in, while the Muslims, the Ummah, the believers,
subhanallah, the the man mankind
are benefiting from that. And in fact, the
most beloved
person to Allah, Ahab Unasirullah
and.
The most beloved person to Allah are those
who are beneficial to mankind. So while they
the we
if there's someone who's dying in the cover
mentioned, I think he he had to
say free free, free reward.
Imagine thousands of years Yeah.
Yeah. Your
account just coming in. Coming in, 1,000 of
years. Now you tell me, Mona. Say for
example, even there are some small, you know,
minor things maybe or maybe some stuff against
your name. You tell me 1,000 of years
of reward compared to how many years you
live in this world? Can it ever wanna
look at that balance.
And then now what what is in the
stock to us in? The day when, you
know, day of,
well, you know how hectic it is, man.
It is hectic. Allah save us all, Insha'Allah.
Yes.
For this beautiful insights that you're giving us.
I wanted to finish with Asher, but anyway.
Actually, just wanted to give add comments
on,
on your on your on your comments.
Yeah. If if I can just add, to
a hadith as well, on what, what, has
mentioned.
Number 1, the prophet tells us that, everyday
2 angels descend.
And the one angel makes a dua,
Or Allah whoever spends in your path, or
Allah replace whatever he spent. Mhmm. And then
the other angel makes the
dua, Yes, sir. Whosoever has refused to spend
in your path, oh Allah, destroy his wealth.
Yes. I know. His wealth. So, certainly, one
of the means of gaining more wealth is
to actually spend in the path of Allah.
Right. And I've seen this, and my brother
Raza can probably give you lots of examples,
but I've seen this.
At times when when when money was tight,
people that we know that were generous people,
their businesses were still doing very well. You
understand? And they were still doing very well.
And this is because they have the help
of Allah with them. SubhanAllah. Like, for example,
the examples, Abdul Abdul Azak made, and then
I could add the the hadith.
Mhmm. Make yourself known to Allah in your
good days, and Allah will know you in
your bad days. So make yourself known to
Allah when you have lots of money, for
example. And then tomorrow, when you have little
money, Allah will remember you, and Allah will
be there for you.
And, the other thing I wanted to add
is this this hadith. I think he comes
in Sahih Muslim,
where the prophet of Allah says that if
you spend even just a date in the
path of Allah Right. Allah will look after
that date, and Allah will maintain that date
as how you look after your horse, as
how you look after an animal that you
raised from a baby. Sure. You understand? And
then eventually, what will happen to that, date,
it will eventually become the size of a
mountain. Yes.
You understand? So this idea that my mother
has asked mentioned from the ayah, you'll be
sadaqat.
Allah allows your sadaqats to grow, allows you
to expand.
And the degree the degree, we cannot imagine.
You understand? We've heard, minimum times 10. We've
heard now as large as a mountain, and
it can be even more than that. It
it is just based upon the quality
of the sacrifice that is made in Allah
my lord, Drazzak, you you you still wanted
to go to the Akhira?
We can go with you to the Akhira
since it's, it will be a little gadget.
We can go together.
We have a
I just wanted to say, I I I
love the Noor,
Myself and and then Mulla Irshad is in
the dark, and you in the Noor, dear.
The narration of even Hoseymah, although
since,
the big narration. But there are 4 things
is reported to have said in the month
of Ramadan, which should do in abundance in
terms
of and 2 things which is we cannot
do without is to ask pro, subhanallah.
Allah says
and enter into Jannah.
What did the
say?
You know? Save yourself from
from just even giving of half half of
a date. Now you tell me, in our
homes, we'll lie by the name of Allah
in our homes. How many deaths do we
have?
Sure.
Hajeem,
you're putting me on a guilt trip there.
I feel like I'm emptying my fridge.
I'm just asking to be honest, mom. Our
tables won't. Tell me, how many how many
breads do we have on our table when
you're breaking our stock? Have we ever thought
that perhaps I'll just reduce, maybe the we
are having, let's say, for example, half a
dozen of samosas. We said we're going to
cut this at least a half.
On a single day, every family decides to
just maybe maybe talking, we say we're going
to have maybe after 4 tonight. No? Or
maybe after 2nd day. No. We don't have
samosas every day. We we not have 5
every day.
But until they look there's a there's a
there's there's a organization like project. How
how much they're making it easy for us?
We don't even need to go out and
look. Yeah. People who are doing that.
If I if I if I if I
can add
Yes, If you if I can add to
what you're saying, about the the half of
a date,
if you're actually giving dates during the month
of Ramadan and somebody's breaking his fast on
your date Arab. Then you get the equal
reward of the day you're fasting that he
gets.
You understand? So so so number 1 is
the hadith that you are saying, that at
half of a date could save you from
alfaya. Yes. I live. And now we have
on top of that also that if somebody's
breaking their fast so that they then, you're
gonna get the the the same reward as
that person who fasting that day. Allahu Akbar,
the generosity of Allah. But that's a it's
a profound point that Manab Doolarazak mentions, man.
Our
our our idea of sadaqa
has become so formalized.
Yes. We still think, like, okay, the rich
person
gives sadaqa.
I'm not a rich person. Like, I'm genuinely
not a rich person.
I I earn and then I eat. According
to the day standards. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. No.
Of course. Of course, monologue. Like, with yeah.
Firaoun thing, yes. Yeah. But what I'm saying
is, like, that mindset of people Yes.
That's only for the the rich. Yes. But
if we just looked at our meals, just
our meals, as an example, mythalene. We can
take any other example, our clothes,
our shoes, anything, and we just say, look
here, can we just give
a portion of this away? I I I
think there's a hadith on that also. I
don't even remember the exact wording, but it's
something like, the food of 1 suffices 2.
Yes. And the food of 2 suffices 3.
Hey. Absolutely. Do you understand? I cannot remember
the temple.
Yeah. So so so so so,
what it's actually saying is even if you're
poor guy, you only have enough for yourself
to eat Yes. There's a way to actually
split that meal and 2 people can eat
for their lives. But so what I'm thinking
is if everybody actually had that approach Yes.
Then we would actually be I'm thinking we
would be able to alleviate poverty. Obviously.
Molena,
this this I want to say to you.
What I've learned in life is that 20%
of humanity set with 80% of the resources.
Yeah. And this is why 80%
of people have to starve and they have
to go hungry. But if they if they
if they divided
it amongst humanity, nobody would need today. Nobody
would need today. Ajiv.
But I mean, the the again, so it's
that we need a mindset,
paradigm shift Yes. As far as, like, how
we think of tzedakah.
Like, I mustn't think, like, it's only when
I'm giving a money donation Yes. And it's
only when I'm rich and it's only when
I can afford and no, just think of
every day, like, share what you've got. Yeah.
There's always something like in the Masjid at
Iftar time.
Just take your,
your and break it break it in half.
Yeah. To the guy next to you. And
smile again. Do you understand? Yeah. Smile. That
the that you're losing there is not gonna
make a big difference to your stomach. Yeah.
But it's gonna make a big difference to
your. But don't mess with the people's bullas
in the.
It's like it's like you can you can
touch me, but don't touch my bulla. Oh,
I must give him the kazir daljir.
Half a daljir can save you, Insha'Allah. Yeah.
No. Alhamdulillah. And and, you know, in Ramadan,
this is just like a personal thing. In
the past, I used
to I used to eat way too much
at iftar.
And,
hamillah, I don't anymore.
And what I notice is, like, not just
iftar, but, like, throughout Ramadan, that feeling of
hunger that I have during the daytime,
makes me feel
the benefit of it, and it makes me
want to actually
feel it more.
And then at night, I don't eat as
much
as I should eat. Like, I I will
still stay kinda. But what what I'm saying
is that
when you feel the benefit of of of
sacrificing with the sake of Allah Subhanahu Wa
Ta'ala,
then,
that feeling there's nothing in the world that
can compete to that.
All I can say, Molana, is that
every day that Allah keeps me on this
planet,
I see more and more of the wisdom
of Allah. Oh, okay. More and more of
the wisdom of Allah. Why Allah said this,
why Allah said that, and and the difference
it makes to the dunya. No. It turns
the dunya into a better place.
As Muslims,
we don't need to know every reason why
Allah tells us to do this and why
Allah tells us to do that. We just
need to have that confidence that Allah wants
the best for us. No. Just do as
Allah tells you, and you will see the
benefit that will accrue to you in the
dunya and in the. Absolutely. And Akhirah knows
best.
So, yeah, I think, let us take this
as an opportunity,
in wrapping up,
after I speak to Molot Drazak, inshallahta'ala.
Yes. We're coming Okay.
We're coming to you now, Molot Drazak.
I just wanted to I just wanted to
mention that,
we have
9 nights or 8 nights
to make sure that we gain
as much of the opportunities of Ramadan as
possible. I think we should be, like, hungry.
We should be, you know, going out there
and looking for these opportunities,
and inshaAllah, try to win the pleasure of
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. In years, one opportunity
already with, Project Maeda that you've spoken about.
Yes, my love to Razzak. I'm so sorry
about that.
Yeah. No
problem.
Imagine
the inhabitants of explaining
while they're in.
Mhmm.
What did you say?
They didn't never used to make salah. And
then what's the second thing?
Never used. So, which means, if you are
in the habit of feeding the poor, guaranteed
you're not there. You won't be there because
you're feeding. So you won't for in
that. Yeah. Alhamdulillah.
And then,
I'm honored to be speaking in front of
my staff. We talked to my 2 teachers,
junior and senior.
So, if yes. Yes. Imagine
Imagine when you're driving a Porsche car, when
it is a AC inside and you know?
So, you know, how are you feeling, Isn't
that not cool? Now imagine in.
Nice feeling.
They
will negotiate nothing. No tree. Nothing.
Now imagine what if if just a thing
which a human being creates, man, a house
which a human has built, a
a a car which a human being has
manufactured, and it gives you that that little
bit of some comfort, man. And compare the
heat here and the
hellfire and the heat them all. You know
the hadith whereby the the the sun will
be very now imagine not being given shade
of a of a of an engineer, of
an architect, or whatever, or a company.
The shade of Allah. Just picture that. Oh
my god. Just picture that, The shade of
Allah,
the day there's no shade except
One of those 7 categories of those individuals,
in other, those who skipped their charity in
in secret. In other words, they they they
they left hand did not know what their
right hand gave. And, of course, for you
yeah. Now imagine,
we are in the habit. Nobody else knows.
Like now, has
booked now the the account numbers there. Many
are not right now if you're speaking more.
Now we don't know. They're transferring that amount
to that account, Paul. Nobody else knows except
that person in Allah. Now you tell
you automatically qualify
because remember, the the more ticks you have,
the better. So why deprive your choice? If
if I can have this, I can have
this. In fact, make mention, he must must
say, I'm into all of the but except
except one. But I must say, you mustn't
say in that 7 category, there's one which
is.
So so we don't ask for that one.
But other 6 other 6
You
know?
So may
I I sum up. Maybe I need to,
say how involved, or should I maybe mention
that later on
with Maida project? We actually we actually wrapping
up now, Mullen Abdul Razak. So you're more
than welcome to to tell us now inshallah.
Okay.
And before before you do so, can I
just, Malema, I have this, sister, she's from
Retreat Sister Udayba, a mentor?
She says,
can give him clothes
to sons that be seen like sadaqa if
you're poor. In other words, you're poor. You
can't afford to give anything. Can you give
clothes or sadaqa? It's it's all it's all
sadaqa.
Zakat is a separate things. So sadaqa is
anything that you give,
in excess of your need, in the path
of Allah. Okay.
In wrapping up, we just have I think
we've got 2 minutes left, inshallah.
And we still we we we also want
to get the final word from Allah Mu'adh.
Yes. Alhamdulillah. We we are very fortunate that
we became part and parcel of,
the efforts with the Hanif.
Initiated with the Hanif
and the family.
So what happened is, Muna, I I used
to assist, and, sometimes also
maybe maybe whenever
or other teachers get, or or or colleagues
get time, they do also assist, especially Monobate.
As currently, we are the next with Monobate
going to Hana.
But Mona, it was just, I'm ready, then
put that just comes, picks me up, and
then we go. So I don't worry about
what is to be given there. I mean,
alhamdulillah, he was sorting out the puzzles, the
food, everything, alhamdulillah.
But now it's not about just waiting for.
Now
Allah has given us that opportunity. Definitely, all
these what we are doing is going to
account as well. But now everyone is taking
some some responsibilities.
So now I have to because we go
there myself and.
Happy
So now we have to take because
this community which is which is in need
over there. So now,
so what do I do now?
There's a brother also from Amazjit. He takes,
him and his colleagues, they take stuff once
a month over there,
but the need is still there. So what
happens is, what do I do?
The easiest way,
is is there anything for?
Because, you know Right. They ask us both
of these waiting.
Is waiting. In fact, even there's another anchor
from our Masjid is also doing soup kitchen
in portable. Mona, you you are there. That's,
yes. Yes. I was there.
So I go there, like, once a month.
So so now they're also in the kitchen
there. So they're I don't know where I'll
get the plan. But both of all, they
involve, Kaladin, they involve, made the project,
Hanal,
Greater and Mona. So and and, I am
just
being, like, the link in but main
of course, the commission of Allah is Maida
project.
Okay.
For joining us, this evening.
Masha'Allah. Tafadullah Wala. In closing,
Okay. All all I want to say, to
end of,
is that, you've heard that Project Maidah is
involved in many areas,
in various different ways.
Alhamdulillah,
with the barakah of wuthanif and Allah accepting
his duaas.
We've also been able to to to start
a masjid, in Hanad and Dal.
And this is what, Alhamdulillah is referring to,
where he takes food regularly and he takes
some finance for some, poor individuals over there
as well. And insha'Allah, we will also be
starting an Islamic center in Greighton,
which is, very close to Hanat Emdahl.
And,
all of these efforts are
apart due to the sacrifices,
of certain individuals,
whether it was in cash, whether it was
in kind, or or whether it was in
effort. Right. And, once again, we ask of
Allah to put khayr and barakah in their
lives to to for Allah to give them
Jannah on earth Amen. And Jannah in the
year after. Amen. And, I I'm proud,
to have been associated in whatever small way
For sure. With these efforts.
And,
we look forward,
to intimacy with Allah, and we look forward,
to the reward that Allah has in store
for us.
In this little place. Alhamdulillah.
I'm actually very very honored, Alhamdulillah.
And I've spent this evening with everyone learning
about sadaqa, the importance of sadaqa. What I
really took from this is,
I should be giving more sadaqa.
That's that's exactly what I took from this.
And and in the sense that I said,
you know, like, I might not be able
to afford cash, but I've got so many
things that other people would find beneficial.
Food, stuffs, clothing, etcetera, etcetera.
Those things can find a much better home
than in my cupboard or in my drawers.
And the food in my fridge can find
much better homes than for it to just
go off and then we have to throw
it away or wait till it gets stale
and we give it to to people who
would accept that type of food. It's, no,
that is not.
I can actually give Sadaqa every day from
eating a meal, find someone to eat along
with me,
Share my one meal in 2.
SubhanAllah, so may Allah grant us the realisation
of those lessons and this beautiful project. May
Allah take it from strength to strength, and
grant that, all projects of haier,
that during this Ramadan, they get the assistance
that they need, the financial assistance and the
spiritual assistance that they need,
for them to be prosperous
and prosperous and for all,
endeavors of khair to be prosperous,
Aminya Rabbal Al Amin. So, jazakamullah khairun, once
again, don't forget to support project Maeda. I
think they deserve our support. But until next
time, insha'Allah,
and, to my guests, Mullum Ma'ad as well,
and all the viewers.
