Morad Awad – The World Cup… of Tea
AI: Summary ©
The speakers discuss the double standard of the World Cup, including countries sending teams to see the event, the negative perception of Islam in media and social media, and the importance of protecting one's rights and decency. They also emphasize the need to be strong and loyal, defend the truth, and be aware of what one's children are consuming and intaking to prevent the heat from feeding into their furnace. The speakers also invite people to read books and verify information about their children, and remind them to be careful and be aware of what their children are consuming and intaking.
AI: Summary ©
I
We praise Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala.
We laud him, we seek his assistance, and
we ask his forgiveness.
And we seek refuge in Allah from the
evil and the mischief of our own souls
and actions.
Whomsoever Allah guides, clearly they are the ones
that are guided.
And whomsoever Allah misguides,
then clearly no one or nothing can guide
them.
I bear witness and testify that there is
no deity of worship in truth except Allah
alone and He has no partners.
And I bear witness to Muhammad
salallahu alayhi wasalam
is his servant and final messenger as for
what comes.
Brothers and sisters in Islam,
I remind myself and yourselves
on this blessed and noble day of Yawmul
Jum'ah,
This special day and occasion for all muslims
around the globe
to fear Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala.
To fear Allah,
the way he should be feared as Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala reminded us of this in
the Quran.
When he said,
Which translates to, oh you who believe fear
Allah the way he should be feared and
do not die except in the state of
submission to him. We ask Allah to die
in the state. Ameen yarabilaalameen.
Brothers and sisters,
as
many of us here
witness
the games of the world cup,
where nations
around the globe send their teams to participate
in this
major event that takes place
every several years
where
cultures,
where nations,
where civilizations
and people from all over the world, they
come together and they gather in one place,
so that they can witness their teams play
and compete against each other,
So that they can experience each other experience
each other's cultures and get to know each
other.
So that they can do what Allah
ultimately
told
us we should do in the Quran
which is
And we created you in nations,
and we created you in tribes
so that you can get to know each
other.
And this is exactly what they are doing.
But it is also unfortunate
to see
the double standard
of
many
of the world media platforms when it comes
to covering
this World Cup that is taking place in
a Muslim nation.
It is
obviously nothing
not a surprise to any Muslim
to see
what
they think about Islam, and what they think
about the Islamic traditions, and what they think
about muslimeen
and certain things
that,
resemble
Muslim and Muslimeen or represent us.
When they come
and they see
as soon as you land in a Muslim
nation, the first thing,
you know, you see is
perhaps segregation.
When men and women
have separate lines
when checking in,
right? One doing things separate, one seating. Especially
obviously we know this because when we pray,
we pray segregated.
It's part of our culture.
1 Muslim When you're in a Muslim country,
you do not see
people expressing
explicit acts of intimacy
or indecency in the street because that is
not accepted in our religion, and came to
not be accepted in the cultures
of of the Muslimeel
in all of their nations.
And there are certain
indecent acts that are completely
completely
frowned upon
and unacceptable
in Muslim nations. And that is what the
world
or some of its media outlets decided to
focus on.
Rather than the preparations and the grandiose
of of this occasion,
and all the care, and all the money,
and everything that was put on to serve
the people. But
it is something that expresses what lies deeply
in the hearts of
those who hate Islam.
Those bigoted Islamophobes
that are looking for anything,
anything to express their hate towards Islam and
towards Muslimeen.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said,
But what lies in their chest is much
greater than what we hear in these social
media outlets, in these platforms,
or what they say or what they express.
Wallahi, what's in their chest is so much
more.
But they are reluctant to express it.
Despite what
this particular nation that is hosting the World
Cup
or any of these Muslim nations in that
area do.
Do
to be accepted.
No matter what they do, or what they
allow,
or how they oppose their own religion and
culture, and they're not perfect. And they do
so many things against Islam. But this is
to show us that no matter what a
Muslim does,
and no matter how much a Muslim let
go let's go. And no matter how mus
how much a Muslim
tries to change
to accommodate
their faith tradition
to others,
they will never be accepted because Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala said this in the Quran.
He said
They will not
In this case, Allah said,
They will not be pleased with you. Who?
The Jews and the Christians until
you follow their millah.
Until you follow their way, their path, their
understanding.
But this is not uniquely exclusive to al
yahudwan nasara.
But now we see that it's it's the
the whole
this whole ideology
that exists within the Western Hemisphere.
This whole understanding,
this whole neoliberal
understanding
of
what freedom is, what freedom of speech is.
SubhanAllah brothers and sisters,
it is very sad
to see that we live
in our children.
Our babies today are be are being raised
in an environment where
expressing,
we're not drinking in a stadium,
or not allowing people
of the same
gender
or sexual identity to to,
express acts of intimacy in public,
When that
is not accepted
but a person
When *
is being accepted,
When someone wants to marry their dog, it's
accepted.
When someone wants It's a point of view.
It's their personal preference.
When acts of *
are being
discussed on a parliamentary level, just like
any normal subject. Okay, this is another law.
Yeah, we see where you're coming from. Yeah,
we can accept this. Yes, it's aligned with
with the values
that we we stand for and preach. What
kind of standards are these?
When morality it's itself is being
challenged.
Wallahi when we live in a time where
It's
not a surprise.
It's not a surprise.
Allah
told us about this.
And Allah
sent messengers
to tell us about these times.
There's not a time where morality
itself
has been questioned except for the time of
Lut alaihis salam
where Allah
told us about them.
Where
you find pleasure
in approaching
the same gender and sexual
lusts.
And you do it
in your nadi,
in public areas,
and you insist on everyone
engaging in this.
And as a matter of fact, they went
to the extent of saying,
They said, Get rid of these pure people,
these normal people, these people that live the
same way all of humanity lived since
Adam
because
the people of Lut
were the first
to ever
do this particular
act.
Every
generation before them had no idea what it
is.
But that
was not enough of a proof for them
to accept
these people who wanted to act normal,
who wanted to act decent, who wanted to
act according to their natural disposition, the way
Allah created them, their fitra.
It wasn't
enough. They got to the point where it
was completely rejected.
He said, Get them out of here.
We only want indecent people in this town.
That was the first time
indecency was widespread.
And decency,
and morality,
and fitra, natural disposition
was looked down upon. It was that time.
And was scrutinized. It was that time. But
it wasn't only that time. It's this time
that we live in today as well.
It's this time that we live in, it's
2 times. The time of Lut
and the time that we live in today.
The time that our children are going to
grow up in.
The time
where we open the newspaper,
or open any social media feed, or we
open the TV and we watch. We have
to look at all that stuff.
We have to put up with that stuff.
It was lut alaihis salam
who had Allah
to back him. Who the angels took and
exited from the village. Who Allah
took care of those indecent people, so that
they can be an example to humanity until
the day of judgment. But that's not our
case.
We have to live with this fitna.
The Prophet
told us,
The hour will not come.
And the Prophet shalallahu alaihi wa sallam said
in this hadith, This hour will not come
until
indecency
is widespread.
Is anything, any indecency whether it's on the
tongue
or
it's acted upon.
Allah referred to
in the Quran
as what? As
adultery or fornication.
And
as
these acts of,
indecency
like the people of Lut alaihis salam.
These two things are Faqisha.
And the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said,
the hour can't come
until this happens.
Until we see
And he said, The hour cannot come
until people cut their kinship.
No more family.
Oh yeah. You know, I just like to
do my own thing.
I don't have to visit my aunt, uncle.
Occasions pass. They come and go.
Do I have any right upon them? No.
Do people even ask about the rights?
No. There'll be a right that we have.
The only right that we know is when
our mom or dad tells, hey, did you
call your aunt? Did you call your
uncle? Did you check up on your cousin?
Did you see what happened to your brother,
your sister?
SubhanAllah.
Is this it?
You need reminders?
The
hour is near. As a matter of fact,
the Prophet
said in another hadith.
At the end of the hadith of Jibril,
the famous hadith of Jibril,
where Jibril alaihis salam
came to the Prophet and he said, Akbirmi
alisa, tell me about the last day.
Tell me about the hour
when Yawmul Qiyamah comes, tell me about it.
The Prophet
said, The one who's asked about it
is not as knowledgeable or more knowledgeable than
the one who is asking.
And he said,
Tell me about its signs.
What's the first sign the Prophet
mentioned?
The first sign he mentioned was,
That the
that
the here,
the slave woman
or the woman
slave
will give birth to her master.
And here,
slave is all of us were slaves to
Allah
Meaning, the woman would give birth to her
master, Al Hafad ibn Hajar
He said
that this means
that disrespecting
the parent
and being ungrateful to them
will be
prevalent amongst
these generations
close to the end of time.
Where
the mother
would have to think of everything
she's doing,
saying,
treating,
even what she's packing for lunch for these
kids. Because this kid,
he has more control over her than she
has over
over him or her.
These parents
are going to be,
they're going to fear
their children.
They're going to fear their akuq. Oh, these
kids, once they know their rights,
It's over.
They can go and say, and do, and
anything they want.
Well, that's very sad.
Where we live in a time where a
parent
where a mother
gives birth to a child and does everything
for them,
just so the child can rebel.
Just so
she has to think
once, twice, 3, 10 times
before saying something because that thing can be
misinterpreted.
That thing
can be, if seen by others, can be
completely misunderstood.
And that's it. It's gone.
Where that child
can choose their parent. Do you know there
are places around the world
where the child can go to school. It's
like, I'm not satisfied with my parents.
My mom yells at me all the time.
And they go and they they give this
child to another parent.
What kind of world is this that we
live in?
What kind of place is this? SubhanAllah. But
the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam told us about
these times.
So be
strong brothers and sisters,
because the times that we live in are
tough, and I will not give you the
glad tidings of telling you it will become
easier and better. It will only become harder
and more difficult on us and for the
next generations to come. The prophet
told us it will become so hard
that that holding on and grasping to your
faith. Holding on to your faith is like
holding on to
a piece of coal
that is burning.
Can you imagine that brothers and sisters?
Imagine holding a piece of coal
and holding it tight.
And then imagine holding on your deen.
See how it burns?
You see how it stings?
You see how it's uncomfortable?
Yes. Your deen,
holding on to it will be uncomfortable.
Holding on to it will sting.
Holding on to it will hurt.
Holding on to it can possibly leave permanent
scars
just like this burning piece of coal. But
guess what? It should never take you away
from the deen.
And know brothers and sisters that Allah
made you the
ummah Allah made us, the ummah of Islam,
the moderate nation.
The be the nation in the middle.
The nation
that will be a witness on all nations
on the day of judgement. We
are the nation defending morality right now.
We are the nation defending decency right now.
We are the nation
defending fitrah
right now. And like I say and I've
always been saying for a very very long
time,
it is not a war against Islam, Youkhwan.
The world is not on this war against
Islam. Wallahi, it is a war against the
fitra. It's a war against morality, it's decency,
it's a war against the disposition that Allah
created us in.
And the only reason that it comes off
as a war against Islam
is because we are the ones that are
closest to it. Our deen is the deen
that is closest to it, that is most
in tune with it.
So it comes off as a war against
Islam, but wallahi,
it's a war against
every single human's fitra
to try and sway us away from how
Allah created us.
Will we defend it brothers and sisters?
Or will we procrastinate?
Because if we procrastinate,
then
you're only going to see more of the
trends that we're seeing today.
But if we are vocal,
and we speak for the truth,
and we say what we need to say
before Allah and in front of all of
humanity,
then insha Allah we will do our service,
we will do our job, and Allah
will protect us from so many evils.
So let us learn how to defend the
truth, insha Allah,
and not be silent
because the one who is silent from the
truth is like the shaitan
that is mute. May Allah Subhanahu wa ta'ala
make us from those who speak the truth.
May Allah make us from those who preserve
the truth. May Allah preserve
our children, our progeny. May Allah
protect them from all evils, and protect them
from indecency,
and protect them from faisha and from zina.
Brothers and sisters,
if you're Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
in
what you expose yourself to on the day
to day basis.
If you're Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
in this nafs
that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala put inside of
you.
This nafs
that is constantly dragging you to do evil.
Indeed,
this nafs inside us,
this ego
is always pushing us pulling us away from
Allah.
This desire
that's within the nafs,
it's always pushing us to fulfill our our
whims and desires.
And know
that the only way we got to where
we are
is because of a single desire.
A desire
that someone had,
and then others had,
And then they submit to it, and this
desire grew, and then this desire became prevalent.
And then
this prevalence
turned into a valid opinion and point of
view, and then it became
legitimized,
legalized,
It became coded into a law that a
nation adopts. Right now this shahua
of same
* attraction, it started with a shahua from
shaitan
and then it ended up as a sharia
where people as a as a law that
is legislated where people of the same *
can get married.
Where did it begin?
It began from this.
It began from something that was left unattended
to. It was it began from a shahuah,
and then it turned into a shubha. It
turned into a doubt,
and then that became a law, and then
that
became what we see around the world in
many nations. SubhanAllah.
So fear Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
in yourself,
in your nafs, in the way to deal
with it.
And don't allow any shahuwah,
any desire
that opposes the religion of Allah
to
to find
fertile
earth in your heart,
to find
a place
to stay in your heart because it's only
going to grow.
Dismiss it as soon as soon as it
comes
because things will flip.
And wallahi, there's nothing that flipped more than
our time today.
At the time,
the first sin when shaitan,
he
told Adam alaihis salam, and he lured Adam
alaihis salam
into eating from the forbidden tree.
When he ate from the forbidden tree,
what happened?
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said,
The moment they ate from it,
their was
exposed.
Their privates were exposed.
And then they went trying to cover themselves
from what anything they found in Jannah to
cover them.
The first punishment
of disobeying
Allah
was
exposing this aura.
They ate from this tree,
and their privates showed
as a punishment,
as a sign that they disobeyed Allah
But today,
this showing
the privates became an industry in and of
itself.
It became something civilizations
take pride in.
And the matter as a matter of fact
they say,
This nation is more advanced,
is more liberal,
is more you know, practices
freedom of speech and practices freedom of whatever
the freedom is.
Because they show they allow the showing of
the sawurah.
Lao Allah.
Woe to any civilization
like this, and may it never have a
future ever.
Because we don't need civilization or sophistication
no matter how much technology
it's accompanied with.
It is sheer loss wallahi.
Because we see what's happening to the generations.
Brothers and sisters,
be careful
to what you expose yourself to, and be
careful to what your children are exposed to.
Make sure
you know what your children are reading.
Make sure you know what they are watching.
Make sure you know what they're spending hours
and hours of their day doing because
this is what is feeding this fire,
the burner, our ignorance,
our negligence,
our apathy
towards what is happening, towards what they're being
exposed to is what is feeding this furnace.
So the least we can do to not
give in to this is not allow this
fire to be fed by being aware
of what our children are consuming or intaking.
And don't even think that if a Muslim
wrote a book that means it's okay. Because
wallahi, I have seen books written by
quote unquote Muslim. You see the author
Khaled, Aisha,
Khadija, Muhammad,
and you automatically think that
It's written by some No.
Read it and make sure and verify that
all the ideas and the thoughts and the
concepts, everything in it is 100%.
And if you want to know more about
this subject, insha Allahu ta'ala, I will be
given a khatra about it after salatul Isha
today inshallah ta'ala. So come it's going to
be more detailed about this particular subject.
Yes.
Yes.
Brothers inshallah, can you please move up and
fill in the rows inside the musalla?
Because there are many times there are rows
inside the musalla to the right and left,
that
are not filled.
So please make sure you do. And also,
don't forget to put your phones on silent
or vibrate inshallah,
just so we can keep our
khushur.
Still still what to do?
Allahu Akbar.
Assalamu
alaikum Warahmatullahi Barakatuh. Assalamu alaikum Warahmatullahi Barakatuh. Assalamu
alaikum Warahmatullahi Barakatuh.
Assalamu alaikum Warahmatullahi Barakatuh.
I have a nice surprise for everybody. Today,
we have our beloved brother Nasser, Qatam, he
brought a friend of of his, Insha'Allah, Bob,
to come,
and take his shahada, Insha'Allah,
and become our brother, Insha'Allah, today
So I'd like to invite them
forward. You can come through insha'Allah
from from here, from the front.
We also,
there are many requests,
of dua for shifa. We ask Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala to give shifa to everyone who
asked us for, Shifa
Nice. Assalamu alaikum Nasr.
So, inshallah,
did Nasr give you the breakdown
of how it's supposed to
how it's supposed to happen?
Yes, he did.
Okay.
Okay. You know acrobat? Like like you know
how to flip and turn? No, I'm just
You don't need to know any of that.
Okay. It's very simple.
So,
what First I'd like to know your name
so everybody knows
very simple. I just want you to hold
the mic close so everybody hears it because
we love hearing it from everybody because we're
so happy.
We're very excited.
Very short phrase. We're gonna let you repeat
it in Arabic,
and then inshallah you can say it in
English. Okay?
So repeat after
me.
I bear witness
I bear witness
that there is no God worthy of worship
That there is no God
Worthy of worship worthy of worship. Except Allah.
Except Allah. And I bear witness
And I bear witness that Muhammad
and Mohammed
is his servant
is his servant. And final messenger
and final messenger.
Takbir.
Takbir.
Takbir means God is the greatest. Yes.
And like it was it was all crazy.
So I wanna get that in before anyone
else. Okay.
So the second thing is, I wanted to
ask, how old are you?
64.
Beautiful. And 64 years of getting closer to
Allah, we ask Allah to
to make your union with Him the most
pleasant. Ameen, You Rabbi alameen. We ask Allah
to unite us all in under His shade,
the shade of His throne, on a day
where there's no shade by His shade. Ameen.
So,
what brought you to Islam? We ask this
to everybody. I just wanted to see like,
is there anything inspirational, something you could share
with us?
I have a desire
to learn more
and become
one
with Allah. Okay.
And you wanted to learn more about
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, so that you're united
with him in in paradise. Yes. Correct? And
we all want to see Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala on
that day because you know, on the day
of judgment,
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala only shows himself
to the believers
in the most pleasant way. We ask Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala
to
to attain this pleasure of seeing Him on
this day. Say, Amen. Amen. Amen.
So right now what you just said is
the most important thing you
in all those 64 years of your life,
this is the most important thing you ever
said. Mhmm. How do you feel? I feel
fantastic.
Well, you're gonna feel a little bit more
fantastic
after the 1,000 hugs that are coming at
you. Inshallah. May Allah
bless you. May Allah keep you steadfast.
And may Allah,
unite us together in paradise.
Robert.
It's a pleasure.
Guys, show some love to our new brother.
