Allah is the greatest.
Allah is the greatest.
There is none worthy of worship except
Allah.
My dear beloved respected brothers and sisters, I
ask Allah to bless me and you with
Ikhlas in everything that we say and everything
that we do.
Ameen.
O Allah, make us from those who are
astray.
O Allah, make us from those who are
astray.
What does Al-Mukhbiteen mean?
A characteristic that is hardly known to Muslims.
So how can they ask for it if
they do not know about it?
Let's give an example in order to describe
what does Ikhbat mean.
The one who does Ikhbat is a Mukhbit
and I'm asking Allah to make me among
them.
What does Ikhbat mean?
In the very long hadith about his aunt
and our mother, Aisha, about the incident of
the ifk, very long hadith.
In that hadith, Aisha said a few words.
If you understand, you will know what does
Ikhbat mean.
She said, I'm going to read the Arabic
hadith from Bukhari.
By Allah, I did not think that Allah
would reveal a revelation in my innocence.
And my matter in my soul was more
difficult than Allah speaking to me about a
revelation.
But I hoped that the Messenger of Allah
would see a vision that Allah would make
me innocent of.
So Allah revealed, those who came with the
ifk, to the end of the verses.
Aisha, our mother, she said, by Allah, I
never ever expected that Allah would reveal verses
to confirm my innocence.
I am not worthy.
I'm not worthy of Quran yutla.
Those ayat that Allah cleared me will be
recited to the day of judgment.
I am unworthy of something like this.
All I was hoping for was a dream
that Rasulullah shallallahu alayhi wa sallam will get.
And in that dream, he will be informed
that I am innocent.
That was my main goal.
But to reveal ayat that will be recited
till the day of judgment to confirm my
innocence, this is not me.
I'm not worthy of this.
This is ikhbat.
This is ikhbat.
Extreme humility.
Who are we talking about?
Who's saying this?
Aisha, the mother of the believers, the wife
of the best man ever created, the daughter
of the Siddiq.
The most knowledgeable woman on earth.
The one whom she said Rasulullah shallallahu alayhi
wa sallam died between my chin and my
chest.
Rasulullah shallallahu alayhi wa sallam died on her
hands.
And she's uttering these words that she's not
worthy of ayat to prove her innocence.
Rasulullah shallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he said, The
superiority of Aisha over all females is just
like the superiority of Tharid over all food.
It's a very delicate, great gourmet food at
that time.
He said the superiority of Aisha over all
womankind.
And this is the one who's uttering this
statement.
Someone in this status talking about themselves in
that manner, that is ikhbat.
Another example, and it's also about our mother.
When she was asked, please open your ears
and listen.
When she was asked about the ayah in
She was asked about
this ayah, which means, the meaning of the
ayah, that the people of Jannah are divided
into three groups.
One group have wronged themselves, and the other
group follow a middle course, they do this
and that.
And there is a group, سَابِقٌ بِالْخَيْرَاتِ They
race to do good.
So, ya my mother, What
did Allah mean?
Who are these people in these ayat?
She said, As for those سَابِقُونَ بِالْخَيْرَاتِ As
for those who race for good, this is
the people who lived at the time of
Rasulullah ﷺ, and died with him.
And as for the people who are مُقْتَسِد,
who take a middle course, these are the
companions who followed his sunnah until he died.
And as for the ones who wronged himself,
Just like me and you.
And as for the ones who wronged themselves,
they are just like me and you.
She made herself, عائشة She made herself from
the lowest level of the people of Jannah.
Now, I give a khutbah, I attend fajr
a few days, I memorize a few ayats,
it's not up to me anymore.
Jannah is in my pocket.
If this is how
Aisha felt and she is who she is,
then what would people like me and you
should say?
How did she get to this level of
How did she reach that level?
Whomsoever got to this level, they have recognized
that they cannot do any عبادة without the
permission of Allah عز و جل.
Wallahi, I will not be able to utter
a word.
You will not be understanding anything I say.
You will not be able to attend Jumu
'ah.
You will not be able to pray.
You will not be able to say
الله.
You will not be able to donate a
penny.
You will not be able to read an
ayah.
You will not be able to understand a
hadith without the permission of Allah.
Knowing that this is all from Allah, how
can I show off?
They understood.
Nothing, sometimes it gets
to our head, it's because of me, because
of my degree, because of my education, because
of my shrewdness.
Wallahi, nothing, nothing happens except with Allah's permission.
When we recognize that, سبحان الله How can
I feel any arrogance?
It's all from Him.
And look, look at the greatness of Allah
I'll give you an example.
He gives us the money.
He gives us the money, the wealth.
And He inspires me to spend it.
And then He praises me for spending it.
And then He rewards me with Jannah because
I spend it.
He gives me the wealth, inspires me to
give it, because we all know how hard
it is to give.
He, when you give, Wallahi, it's Allah who
made you give.
And then He praises me.
They spend from whatever I
gave them.
And then, we all know the reward of
spending.
Allahu Akbar How great is Allah عز و
جل.
So, Allah سبحانه وتعالى told us, ولولا فضل
wasn't from the fadl, if it wasn't from
the favor, if it wasn't from the mercy
of Allah, none of us will be pure.
This is Allah's words.
So, don't think that you got to that
level because of you.
It's tawfiq from Allah
When we understand that, we are very close
to become amongst the mukhbiteen.
If the one, listen carefully, if
the one who's favored by deen matters, he
should feel like this, humble.
How dare the one who's favored by dunya
matters to be arrogant.
If the one is favored by deen matters,
he should be extremely humble like the examples
we gave about Aisha.
How about that guy because he's the president,
he's the emir, he's the prince, he's the
CEO, he's the this and that and the
richest.
How could you be arrogant about dunya matters
knowing that Rasulullah صلى الله عليه وسلم said
that this whole dunya and everything in it
from oceans and mountains and skies and diamonds
and gold and everything is not worth a
wing of a mosquito.
And you're showing off.
You're showing off about what?
That's why my brothers and sisters, in the
ummah, we have a sickness.
Unfortunate sickness.
That I beg Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى to
cure us from.
And that sickness is we favor one another
according to the country of origin.
We favor one another according to how much
money do you have.
We favor one another maybe with color.
How dare you think that you are better
than that person just because you have more
money.
Or just because you belong to a different
country.
Or because you're white and he's black or
you're black and he's white.
How dare you.
Allah gave us the
foundation.
Allah gave us the
foundation.
The best of you.
The most honored among you.
To me, that's all that matters.
To him.
To him.
Your name here is doctor, engineer, CEO, whatever
it is.
What's your name up there?
What's your title up there?
What's your name up there?
That's what matters.
The best of you.
The most honorable among you are the ones
not the ones who are Arab or non
-Arab.
Not the white, not the rich, not the
tall, not the...
The ones with the more taqwa.
The closest you are to me, the more
honorable you are.
Subhanallah, my brothers and sisters, the more you
know and the more you apply what you
know, the more you feel sorry about yourself.
You know why?
Because most of the arrogant people is because
of ignorance.
The more you know and the more you
apply what you know, the more sorry you
feel about yourself.
And this is exactly how we felt about
Aisha's statement.
Rasulallah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam narrating Hadith Qudsi.
Hadith Qudsi means Allah said.
Rasulallah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam he said that Allah
Whomsoever
humble himself and Rasulallah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam he
put his palm to the ground.
Whomever humble himself like this, Allah is saying,
I will raise him like this.
And we all know the Hadith.
No one
who humbles himself to Allah except Allah elevates
him.
What are the characteristics of the مخبتين
from the Rabb of the مخبتين?
How can I become a مخبت?
Listen, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala as a
matter of fact the word المخبتين is mentioned
only once in the Qur'an and it's
in Surah Al-Hajj.
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said وَبَشِّرِ الْمُخْبِتِينِ
And give bushra, give the glad tidings to
the مخبتين.
Who are they O Allah?
Four characteristics.
He is praising them and He mentioned
because we want to be among them that's
what the whole khutbah is about what do
they do ya Allah I want to become
like this first and we can do the
checking ourselves between us and ourselves and if
we're not or we don't have any of
these characters let's start working on them number
name is mentioned their hearts tremble check when
Allah's name is mentioned their hearts tremble يا
أخي this is haram business leave me alone
يا أخي we are in America here كل
حرام this is بلاد كفار يا أخي I'm
reminding you of Allah leave the riba leave
the riba leave me alone everybody is dealing
with riba this excuse is not going to
work on the day of judgment because not
when everyone is doing something it becomes halal
when the person who is mukhbit reminded of
Allah أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهِ أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهِ how did I
do that ya Allah forgive me because we
are all sinners we fall into this وَالَّذِينَ
Allah describing the mutaqeen and he said
that one of their characteristics of the mutaqeen
that they actually commit sins but the only
difference is they immediately make istighfar ya Allah
forgive me ya Allah forgive me so number
عَلَىٰ مَا أَصَابَهُمْ and they are very patient
وَذَشِّرِ الصَّابِرِينَ they are very patient when they
are hit by any calamity they are patient
they are accepting the qadr of Allah any
calamity by the way when we say إِنَّا
لِلَّهُ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ that does not only
this is not exclusive to death this is
like Allah said الَّذِينَ إِذَا أَصَابَتْهُمْ مُصِيبَةً قَالُوا
any kind of calamity any kind of مصيبة
they say إِنَّا لِلَّهُ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ the
third characteristic المقيمي الصلاة they he did not
say المصلين they pray مصلين in Arabic they
pray المقيمي الصلاة that's a different story اللهم
اجعلنا منهم may Allah make us among them
مقيمي الصلاة completely different story because Allah subhanahu
wa ta'ala even described
الصَّلَاةِ قَامُوا كُسَأْلَ يُرَأُونَ النَّاسِ there are people
who just get up and pray just for
others to say oh no he prays I
saw him praying يُرَأُونَ for people to see
them that's the only reason they pray no
these people are different no they establish the
Salat on time when the time for Salat
comes boom they block until they finish this
5-10 minutes meetings, gathering, game whatever they're
doing it stops الله أكبر repeated 6 times
in the Adhan الله أكبر الله أكبر leave
what you're doing and come to me حيّ
establish the Salat and the last one just
because of the time وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ how
is the checking going so far and from
what I have given them they spend they
spend they can't wait to help others they
hear about the flood in Bangladesh they rush
and they support they hear about their brothers
in Gaza they hear about their brothers in
Yemen everywhere in Sudan they rush how can
I help this is not my money I'm
giving this wealth in order to spend it
and I will be reporting like Rasulallah ﷺ
said no one will move on the day
of judgment before he answers where did you
get this penny and where did you spend
it الله أكبر if Allah's name is mentioned
they tremble they are very patient they establish
Salat and they spend from what Allah has
given them and subhanallah look at all these
great characteristics look at all these great characteristics
that they are patient and their heart tremble
and all this and Allah praise them because
they are مُخبِتين because they are humble He
did not say وَبَشِّرُ and give the glad
tidings and then He gave the characteristics no
no no He praise them because of their
humbleness even though all these things are so
huge وَبَشِّرُ المُخْبِتِين the ones who do all
these four characteristics and from the honor of
اخبات from the honor of اخبات is that
Rasulallah ﷺ used to make a dua
مطواعا ولك مخبتا imagine Rasulallah ﷺ is asking
Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to make him
grateful mindful fearful devoted and مخبت humble also
and one of the greatest honors of the
مخبتين is that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
gave them the glad tidings of Jannah when
وَأَخْبَتُوا is the verb وَأَخْبَتُوا إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ أُولَٰئِكَ
المخبتين يا رب العالمين and the more اخبات
that we have I will end with this
the more اخبات now you know what اخبات
means the more humbleness and humility I have
in my dua the higher the possibility of
this dua to be answered just like look
at the dua of Sayyid al-istighfar اللهم
I already admitted all
my sins I admitted how behind I am
and then I ask
