So, inshallah, we'll continue our series about the
7 feelings that we should have towards Rasulullah
in order to be able
to understand
the revelation
and that eventually will improve us
spiritually, will bring us closer to Allah
We mentioned
on Thursday
that the first feeling is
to know
the status
of Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam.
To know the magnitude of Rasulullah salallahu alaihi
wasalam.
And that is
without any hulu.
We all know that
there are people
on the
two sides.
One extreme,
they don't give any attention to
Rasulullah
And the other extreme, they go all the
way and they say that he's still alive
and he's created from nur and all that
stuff that you know.
The things that we discussed
on Thursday shows us his importance without all
that stuff.
We know his magnitude
and that will increase our respect and honor
to him, and
it will increase our
will to obey him
because of what Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala said
about him in the Quran and like we
mentioned on Thursday.
So here comes the second feeling.
If somebody is from this at this magnitude
and this greatness,
he might not even care about me.
He might not even know who I am.
The second feeling towards him
is that he loves us.
You have to know that Rasoolullah shalom loves
you.
And
from our
knowledge of the sunnah,
when you love somebody,
what are you supposed to do?
What are you supposed to do?
Tell them.
Right?
So Rasulullah SAW ISAWNAM IS NOT WITH US
TO TELL US, YOU KNOW WHO TOLD US?
THAT HE LOVES US?
Allah
till the day of judgment,
people will read the ayah.
There come to you
a messenger from among yourselves.
It grieves you. It grieves him that you
are not believers. You are still kuffar You
Quresh.
And he's anxious
about your well-being.
And with the believers,
he is full of kindness
and love
and mercy.
So Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala told us how
much
loves us and his love to us reached
a level
that he used to cry at night.
He used to cry in his salat at
night
and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala he told Jibril,
you Jibril,
go to Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Imagine. Look
at the honor.
Go to Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam and ask
him why is he crying. And Allah, of
course, he's the alim. He knows, but
he's telling Jibril so we, Muslims, to know.
But Allah knows why he's crying. So Jibril
went to Rasulullah
and he said, You Rasulullah,
why are you crying?
Rasoolullah
said,
He's thinking about you,
and he's crying.
Rasoolullah salallahu alaihi wasalam is crying in the
middle of the night,
thinking about us.
Jibril went back
to Allah
and told him,
and Allah told him, go back and tell
Muhammad
that we will please you with your, and
we will never disappoint you.
This is how much he loves us. He
was sitting with the Sahaba in the graveyard,
and we all know the hadith. And he
said,
I missed
I missed I wish I would have
seen my brothers.
They said, you Rasool Allah, aren't we your
brothers?
He said, no. You are my companions.
My brothers are the ones who's gonna come
believe in me and come after me, and
they have not seen me.
So he called you
his brother.
The best man ever created
called me and you his brother.
You know when you are in trouble, like
you're coming to the airport, and then you
have so many things, and you're worried that
somebody is gonna see you, and find out
that you have all
this, food that you brought with you from
your country, and and you're scared. And then
the immigration guy says, assalamu alaikum, brother.
You
know, one time I was,
I was coming and, you know, every time
I come when it comes, do you have
food? I say no.
Even though my bag is full of sweets,
but I consider sweets as not food.
Because I don't want to be stopped. Because
it's not food really. I know what they
mean by food.
So
I passed and everything, and then, subhanAllah,
the last, you know, step at DFW, you
wanna get out from that door? And then
a guy said, excuse me.
So I went
and pushed the car to him. He looked
at me and he said,
As if you are giving me a million
I follow you. I love you.
But you killed me, brother.
So subhanallah.
So Rasulullah called us brothers. He called us
brothers. Allahu Akbar.
And, you know, his
love and care
even went to non Muslims.
We all know about the Jewish boy who
used to serve him,
and when he got sick, Rasool alaihi wasallam
went to visit him. And he was sitting
next to his head, and he said,
submit to Allah.
Submit to Allah.
So the boy looked at his father. His
father is a is a Jew.
He said,
Obey.
So the boy said,
and he died.
So Rasool al Salam said
that he saved him from the * fire.
Now
out of the topic for a second.
Why would a Jewish man,
and you know how the Jews were in
the time for Sallalahu alaihi wa sallam, would
tell his son on his deathbed to believe
in another Deen.
Allah said in the Quran, they know him
better
than they know their children.
They know he's the Haqq.
Believe in Abu Qasim.
Another story with a non Muslim.
Ikrima,
the son of Abu Jahl.
Abu Jahl, staunch enemy of Rasoulullah sallallahu alaihi
wasallam.
And Ikrimah was like his father for 21
years.
21 years. Just like his father hating Rasulullah
sallam killing Muslims.
When Rasulullah sallam came
to conquer Mecca,
a Kermeran way.
His wife came to Rasulullah, sallam, said, yeah
Rasulullah, she was a Muslim.
Or she took Shahadah at the at the
Fadhamakkah, she took her Shahadah. So she said,
yeah Rasulullah, give Ikrimad a man.
Let him and he come in peace. He
said he is an Amin.
So she went and told her husband.
Said I don't believe you after all I
did to him.
He said, I am okay.
I I don't believe you. So she went
back
and told Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, Ekremah
does not believe. If I was in front
instead of Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, I
said, he believes, he doesn't believe, who cares,
right?
He said, here's my turban.
Go and give it to him so he
knows
it's coming from me.
So Ekrima saw the turban. He came back,
took his shahada because he couldn't believe. He
took his shahada, and he became one of
the greatest Sahaba, and he died as a
shahid
in the battlefield because of the Muhamalah of
Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam.
And finally,
Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said
every messenger
has been given a dua.
Imagine I tell you, you have one dua
that is answered 100%.
Would you make it for me? It's impossible
you have a lot of stuff that you
want.
He said, every messenger took his dua except
me. I left it for my ummah to
the day of judgment.
Are you feeling the love?
Are you feeling the love?
That is the second feeling we should have
towards Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam in order
for us to be able to understand
and love
and follow the revelation.
We have to know
his
status
and how much he loves us. These are
the 2 feelings.
Five more feelings coming up insha'allah ta'ala, and
that will increase our love to Rasulullah
and our obedience to Rasulullah
May Allah gather us with him on the
day of judgment. May Allah forgive all our
sins.
