AI: Summary ©
The Sahaba region is a hub for alcohol making and shelling against drugs, with the success of the business and the use of wines in shelling against drugs. The culture of Islam was wiped out and wiped out, and all the interests owed to the uncle who gave them the principal sum. The region is a hub for Islam's culture of Islam being wiped out and wiped out.

Spill a bit. I mean,
was a lot. Salama, Allah, even more. Salin Muhammad, Ali ala Ali
was Abu Asmaa, just live on kathiran kasi Rama Abu, my
brothers, sisters. The other day, one of my very close friends,
he told me, because I always emphasize the importance of
earning halal, not buying and selling haram things and not
indulging in interest based dealings and all that the
importance of earning halal, I say it all the time. So this friend of
mine said to me, I completely agree with you. Obviously, there
is nothing to disagree with. What I'm saying is from the Quran and
the Sunnah, but if there were alternatives,
then people would be able to do it
more easily or do it
so, for example, now you have somebody who has a shop, and the
shop, they are selling alcohol and they are selling beer, and they
are selling
lottery and cigarettes and * literature and God
knows what.
So you say, if you give me, if I had a halal alternative or Halal
business to do, then I could leave this and do that
right? Sound reasonable, right?
Let us see what the Sahaba did,
see what the companions of rasulallah did
with
with this matter of halal and haram. I
will give you two examples.
Allah subhanaw taala,
reveal the ayah.
Yay. You all ladeena amanu in Namur,
wala, ansa Abu Asmaa, shaytani, faistani, wo la Allah Kum tufum,
Allah said, Verily, oh, you believe Verily, alhamar, which is
alcohol and all intoxicants, while maisir, which is gambling,
Al ansabu, alasdam, which is fortune telling and Casting arrows
and all that sort
of stuff. Are the worst of the actions of shaitan. Rejusum mean
Amali shaytan.
They are Amal of shaitan and out of the Amal of shaytan, these are
the rich. These are the dirty, filthy.
All of shaitans. Amal are bad. This is worse.
So stay away. Allah said, fajdanibu, stay far away from
these things.
Now think about this. We have all heard the Hadith concerning this,
that
the Sahaba rivar
people when this announcement was made, when the munadi of raswa
rasa salaam went in the streets of Madina and he recited the ayah
loudly, saying, This is what Allah has revealed.
Somebody who was drinking, they threw the liquor on the ground,
somebody who was even someone who had it in his mouth, he spat it
out. He didn't take valaship.
And then what they did was they literally took all the vats and
the jars of wine that they had, and they threw them in the drains,
and wine ran in the drains, they said, like storm water.
And then they smashed the containers.
So somebody told Abu Salam ya rasulallah, they are even breaking
the containers. So Rasul Asmaa called them. He said he asked
them, Why are you breaking the containers, the container can be
used. You can wash it and use it. Why do you need to break it? They
said, Ya rasulallah. We do not even want to have something which
reminds us that we used to do this,
even though, when they were doing it, it was not at haram. It became
haram only after there. But still,
Now ask yourself this question,
how come there was so much wine that it was running in the drains
like storm water?
Did you ever think of that?
We just say these things, you
should take a bottle of wine and put it it's not storm water, no,
in a drain for the drain to fill and run like storm water. How much
of wine there should have been? Why was there so much of wine?
Because wine making was an industry in Madina. Madina was an
oasis. Madina has had water so. Madina had huge date palm gardens,
and Madina had vineyards. They used to grow grapes
and world.
Over. Take France, take Europe. Take here in California, anytime
you are growing something which has sugar, any fruit which has
sugar, one of the ways of processing that fruit is to make
into some form of alcohol. They do it everywhere in the world.
So also they were doing it in Madina. They had dates, which is
very high sugar content, and you had grape which is very high sugar
content, so they had date wine, and they had grape wine. And this
is something which was an industry. It was their livelihood.
It's not
just a matter of saying somebody wanted to have a drink, so you had
a bottle of wine. No, this is their livelihood. Maybe some
people who were baking the wine, maybe they didn't even drink it
themselves. This is the business. I don't have to use it myself. I'm
not even drinking it, but this is my business. Now. Allah subhanaw,
Taran, one stroke destroyed the whole business.
Tell me, did this have a company? Salsa ya rasulallah, definitely.
We agree. We believe. We are not denying, but give us some
alternate business so that we can do that. This is my livelihood. I
have to feed my children. So show me something else, then I will
leave it until you show me something else. Let me do it. Did
they do that?
Did the Sahaba say this?
They did not even go to navisa as soon as they heard the ayah,
they acted on it.
Second example,
Allah subhanho taala revealed the ayats prohibiting interest based
dealings,
prohibiting riba
razalam announced, and he said, from this day, all Riba is
prohibited. All the interest which is due to you from the people you
lent the money to is wiped out. You cannot take that interest. You
can only take the principal sum which you had lent to them. And
even in that if you are lenient, if somebody has difficulty, give
it. Give them time. Give them discount. Give up the whole thing.
Allah will be pleased with you.
So in one stroke, the entire
debt, equity banking system was destroyed. Can
you believe it completely destroyed.
Did the Sahaba say araswara again? Please just find us an Islamic
Bank. Then we will do this.
What is the Islamic banking system you are saying? Don't take
interest. I have lent out people like alabastalib and NaVi Sarasa
specifically said, all the money owed to my uncle.
This uncle did not say, excuse me, my money is not your money. You're
giving it away.
He said, All the money, all the interest owed to him.
I am saying it is no longer necessary to pay it back. Did
the Sabbath ask for an alternative? Did they say, find us
an Islamic way of doing this thing. Then we leave it.
The Ayat came. They omit
immediately.
What was the result?
The result was Allah subhanahu Taala gave them the two
superpowers of the time, Allah gave them the Byzantine Empire,
and he gave them the Sasanian Persian Empire.
They had so much money, they didn't know what to do with the
body.
They didn't ask alternatives. The point I want to make to you is,
today we are saying this with regard to business, supposing,
supposing there is a friend of yours, and you know that this boy,
this man, young man, is committing Zina,
right? So you tell him, please don't do this. This is haram. Why
are you doing this? He said, No, no, no, you see,
find me a good wife,
then I will leave this
until you find me a good wife. I mean, I need my physical. You
know, needs so.
What will you say?
Will you say is okay? Yeah, okay, reasonable, yeah, find me finding
my wife who wants to marry somebody who's a Zani. Anyway,
Allah revealed ayat about this.
So how come we apply this logic when it comes to earning
when we don't apply it somebody? For example, I'll give you another
example. Suppose there is a friend of yours who is a thief.
Hopefully, we don't have friend like But supposing He's a thief.
He's stealing. He picks pockets and he breaks into something. You
tell him, don't do this. This is haram. This is illegal. Say, No, I
can get a job. You know, I need to hide. I forget me. A good job.
Then I'll stop stealing. He said, man, you're doing something wrong.
Leave it first. You.
The two separate, independent things. You don't say you give me
this, then I will do that. No, this is an independent thing. What
you are doing is haram, leave it,
then go and look for something which is halal. And Allah subhanaw
taala will open the doors for you in a place where you did not know
there was a door, because leaving Haram is a sign of Taqwa and Allah
subhanaw taala said, Oh, my Yatta, kilaharajah. Allah said, the one
who has taqwa,
Allah subhanaw taala will extract him from his difficulty and will
open doors for him. Will provide him from sources that he could not
even imagine,
but for whom, Maya takinah, for the one who has Taqwa. Sign of
Taqwa is to leave the haram.
Sign of Taqwa is not to sit with the Haram and say, No, first, find
me a halal source, then I will leave this. Not this, not
Taqwa. This is taqwa. This is, this is playing games with Allah
subhanho,
because what is the alternative? The alternative is that if you are
earning that haram and you die, believe me, my brother, I don't
want to say where you will go. You know where you will
go. Rasulullah, Hadith narrated by none other than Abu Bakr as No, he
said, my friend, My Habib, said to me that if one morsel, one piece
of food goes into your mouth, which is haram, and it is
digested, then the fire of Jaana is vaji on this person.
So if your entire income is haram, you are eating that. You are
feeding your children that.
What are we talking about?
So please, the example for us are the Sahaba of Salam,
and they faced exactly the same situation like us.
What did they do? They left the Haram, no bargaining, no playing
games, no putting conditions on Allah. You do this. I will do this
as if there is some kind of you know,
our job is to obey Allah.
So we obey
Samana of Rana karabana. So I remind
myself, and you stop praying games, leave haram.
Ask Allah to give you halal, and Inshallah, mustan, Allah Tara will
definitely give Hara halal, because he said he will give
halal.
And I've given you the references from the Quran
in Jala next Saturday, after tomorrow. Second part of this
masala, Bill Karim Alhamdulillah.
