Majed Mahmoud – When Should You Hide or Publicize a Good Deed?

			Hide your good deeds Can we do that inshallah. Not everything good that we do needs to be published
online. The world is to know about it. This is not the attitude of the prophet SAW Selim the Sahaba
and the people that followed after that. Allah subhanaw taala says in the Quran surah back home tada
wrote her fear was that mean? Call upon Allah worship Allah subhanho wa Taala with humility and
privately Javier even at best said Javier is still secretly try to make your acts of worship your
good deeds as secret as possible. You may say, Okay, brother, but sometimes we need to publicize it
because of a greater benefit. Excellent. If that's the situation, go for it. May Allah grant you

want to hide my identity to be sincere. See, that wouldn't make much sense, right? Yes, hide my good

protect us and accept from all of us, immutable me, I'll give you an idea in the Quran. Allah says,

			who were higher on lakum. Allah says, if you want to publicize your donation, in front of everybody,
yes, $10,000 right here, nothing wrong. Allah says is not finding a man, he, there's nothing wrong,
it's good. But if you want to keep it private, and give it to the poor, then that is perhaps better
to cut out for them. But once again, that's the line that we need to assess, to go public or not. It
has an adversary says something very profound, I'd like to share with you. He says, There are people
who never had an option to do a deed secretly and ended up doing it publicly. Like, whenever there's
an option, no, I'm gonna go secret, I'm gonna go private, unless there's a greater benefit to go
		

			public. Brothers and sisters, why this important is so important. If everything we do is just
public, public, public, public public, then maybe one positive comment can take us and ruin our
intention. Then what about our lives behind closed doors with Allah subhanho wa Taala? How does that
look like? So we need to establish a relationship with Allah privately and also publicly. And one of
the benefits to do things in private is that it becomes a lot more difficult to show off because
there's no one around this to show off to
