00:01:43 --> 00:01:46
			Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

00:01:48 --> 00:01:53
			we move on to the next parable which Allah mentions in Surah Tata.

00:01:55 --> 00:02:03
			And this example, that Allah gives us, it's concerning the kuffaar the disbelievers.

00:02:05 --> 00:02:15
			And so here in short, faltered verses 19 to 23. Allah subhanho wa Taala says, one is still
unavailable st

00:02:17 --> 00:02:19
			not equal are the blind

00:02:21 --> 00:02:22
			and the seeing

00:02:23 --> 00:02:26
			the one who is blind is not equal to the one who can see

00:02:27 --> 00:02:29
			one of Luma to Allah nor

00:02:30 --> 00:02:33
			nor is the darkness equal to the light

00:02:35 --> 00:02:36
			while a will

00:02:38 --> 00:02:42
			nor is the shade equal to the heat.

00:02:45 --> 00:02:46
			One guest will

00:02:50 --> 00:02:54
			and not equal or the living and the dead.

00:02:57 --> 00:03:14
			And then Allah says in the law, how you smear Romania sharp Indeed Allah causes to hear whomever He
wills wanna be Muslim and manfield Cuckoo. And you cannot make those who are in their graves to hear

00:03:15 --> 00:03:19
			in and Ilana V, you are only a warner.

00:03:21 --> 00:03:25
			And so, here Allah subhanahu wa tada

00:03:27 --> 00:03:28
			compares

00:03:29 --> 00:03:30
			the kuffaar.

00:03:32 --> 00:03:33
			The disbelievers

00:03:35 --> 00:03:40
			to the inhabitants of the grave, the dead, who are in their grave.

00:03:42 --> 00:03:46
			And so just like a dead person who is buried in his grave,

00:03:47 --> 00:03:50
			is unable to hear anything that you tell them.

00:03:52 --> 00:04:00
			And there is no way that you can make him to hear. It's impossible. He's dead, he's in his grave.
How are you going to make him to hear

00:04:02 --> 00:04:03
			likewise,

00:04:04 --> 00:04:07
			those whose hearts are dead,

00:04:09 --> 00:04:14
			with no life of a man in them, they cannot hear whatever you try to make them hear.

00:04:18 --> 00:04:22
			Nor can you ever make them to hear the message.

00:04:23 --> 00:04:26
			And so this is what Allah is telling his prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:04:29 --> 00:04:30
			Why am I going to be Muslim?

00:04:32 --> 00:04:33
			You will never be able to

00:04:35 --> 00:04:38
			you will never be able to make those who are in their graves to hear you.

00:04:41 --> 00:04:42
			And so these kofod

00:04:44 --> 00:04:49
			who are not responsive to the dour, they've decided

00:04:50 --> 00:04:57
			to not accept your message. No matter what you do. No matter how much you try to make them hear they
will never hear

00:04:58 --> 00:05:00
			because although they

00:05:00 --> 00:05:06
			our ears may be able to hear sounds, voices,

00:05:08 --> 00:05:09
			their hearts are dead.

00:05:10 --> 00:05:19
			Although their ears may be able to hear, although their eyes may be able to see physical things,
their hearts are dead.

00:05:21 --> 00:05:23
			Their hearts are dead from being able to

00:05:25 --> 00:05:30
			you know truly hear and truly see and truly comprehend as Allah says elsewhere,

00:05:31 --> 00:05:38
			as Allah says elsewhere, as lm ese, you fill out all the Fatah Khun Ella home guru Boone Yaki, Luna
beha.

00:05:40 --> 00:05:42
			Yes, Marina v Ha. So in

00:05:43 --> 00:05:46
			a bizarre way, like in Tamil kulu Latif pseudo.

00:05:47 --> 00:05:49
			Allah tells us the reality

00:05:50 --> 00:05:53
			of what is true life and what is true depth.

00:05:54 --> 00:05:57
			And so Allah says, Have the narc traveled throughout the earth

00:05:59 --> 00:06:04
			and have hearts by which to comprehend to reason

00:06:05 --> 00:06:08
			and ears by which they can hear.

00:06:09 --> 00:06:13
			For indeed, it is not the eyes that are blinded.

00:06:14 --> 00:06:17
			But blinded are the hearts which are in the chests.

00:06:19 --> 00:06:21
			And so a lot tells us

00:06:22 --> 00:06:23
			the true depth

00:06:25 --> 00:06:26
			is the depth of the heart.

00:06:28 --> 00:06:41
			And the true blindness is not the blindness of the eyes, but rather the blindness of the hearts,
which cannot see the truth who cannot comprehend the truth. And so these people,

00:06:43 --> 00:06:48
			their bodies are basically graves for their hearts.

00:06:50 --> 00:06:59
			Their bodies are graves for their hearts as their hearts have died and become buried in their
bodies.

00:07:00 --> 00:07:02
			Their hearts are dead.

00:07:04 --> 00:07:10
			And it's as if their body is like a grief for their hearts.

00:07:11 --> 00:07:16
			And that is because these people they turned away from the guidance when it came to them.

00:07:17 --> 00:07:19
			If they had accepted it

00:07:21 --> 00:07:23
			then it would have revived their hearts

00:07:25 --> 00:07:28
			it would have brought life to their hearts

00:07:29 --> 00:07:48
			as a lot tells us yeah are you heading Edina and Minister g bulan la casa de da de Arkham Lima Yoshi
con oh you believe respond to Allah and His Messenger when they call you to that which gives you
life.

00:07:50 --> 00:07:53
			And so he man his life for the hearts

00:07:55 --> 00:08:12
			and a lot tells us elsewhere. A woman can and meet him. Sir Yeah, you know what, Allah Allah who
moved on em gbgv NASS cannot mess aloof Illuminati. He said the hardage Amina, and this was a
parable that we mentioned previously.

00:08:13 --> 00:08:21
			earlier on. I believe it was parable number 13. This ayah was mentioned as parable number 13.

00:08:23 --> 00:09:15
			Allah says a woman can have eaten is He who was once dead. Meaning he was a cafe. Farah, you know
who and then we brought him to life. By bringing a man to him. He converts to Islam he accepts
Islam, which Allah Allah who noorani MGB finance and not only did we give him life, the life of a
man, but we also gave him a light by which he can walk among the people is he is this person, like
another person who is in darkness is never to emerge from those darknesses. So one has been granted
life and light. And the other is the caffeine who remains in darkness is the darkness is of Cofer of
ignorance of confusion.

00:09:17 --> 00:09:25
			And so because they refused to accept the guidance when it came to them, a lot compare these people
to the dead,

00:09:26 --> 00:09:29
			whom you can never make them to hear.

00:09:31 --> 00:09:36
			In NACA, as Allah says, elsewhere, in NACA law to smear

00:09:38 --> 00:09:43
			wala to smear assume that you are either well known would have been.

00:09:44 --> 00:09:48
			Allah says, indeed you will not make the dead to hear.

00:09:49 --> 00:09:54
			You can never make the debt to hear, nor will you make the death

00:09:55 --> 00:09:59
			to hear the call when they have turned their backs

00:10:00 --> 00:10:10
			retreating. Someone who you're talking to him, and he just runs away, he turns his back on you, he
retreats, and he's gone.

00:10:12 --> 00:10:21
			You can never make him to hear what you want, what you want him to hear. This is what he was telling
us here. Likewise, Allah is telling us that you cannot make the dead to hear you.

00:10:24 --> 00:10:26
			And that is because

00:10:27 --> 00:10:37
			these people, they chose the path of misguidance, over and over guidance. They chose Cofer over a
man.

00:10:39 --> 00:10:43
			It was their choice. It was their free will.

00:10:44 --> 00:10:46
			That led them to this path.

00:10:48 --> 00:10:53
			And so someone should not come after hearing all of this. Someone should not come and object and
say,

00:10:55 --> 00:10:56
			Well, this is unfair.

00:10:59 --> 00:11:00
			Why does a law

00:11:03 --> 00:11:05
			not give these people a chance?

00:11:06 --> 00:11:13
			Why are these people never going to hear and accept the message?

00:11:14 --> 00:11:27
			Because Allah is telling us here in these verses and all of these verses that we have mentioned,
that these are people who, that's it, it's finished. It's over it. You can never make them to here,
no matter what.

00:11:29 --> 00:11:32
			They they are destined for the hellfire.

00:11:33 --> 00:11:35
			So someone will object and say,

00:11:37 --> 00:11:39
			you know Allah is unjust.

00:11:41 --> 00:11:44
			And so, to answer this objection, we say no.

00:11:46 --> 00:11:51
			But rather, these people chose this path.

00:11:52 --> 00:12:00
			Allah is not unjust to his servants, while I overly mirrabooka your Lord does not do injustice to
anyone.

00:12:02 --> 00:12:12
			And so we have many verses in the Quran, where Allah tells us that the reason for why these people
their cases now closed

00:12:13 --> 00:12:21
			and they will never believe the reason for that is their own selves. They chose that not Allah.

00:12:22 --> 00:12:28
			Meaning Yes, Allah did decree it, but they are the ones who chose that from their free will.

00:12:30 --> 00:12:31
			And so for example, Allah says,

00:12:33 --> 00:12:38
			In the Latina cafaro, Salwa Ali him and tell him, MLM tonzura home.

00:12:39 --> 00:12:40
			Yeah, you know,

00:12:41 --> 00:12:42
			those who disbelieve

00:12:44 --> 00:12:52
			it's the same of what whether you warn them or you don't warn them it's the same. They will never
believe Hi Tom Allahu Allah Kuru be him.

00:12:53 --> 00:13:00
			Well, as a reminder, I'm sorry he militia. Allah has placed a seal over their hearts

00:13:01 --> 00:13:02
			and over their hearing,

00:13:03 --> 00:13:08
			and there is a veil over their over their sight.

00:13:09 --> 00:13:11
			Why? Because they chose that path.

00:13:15 --> 00:13:18
			fella Mazda who azova localu Bell

00:13:21 --> 00:13:25
			when they deviated when they initiated

00:13:26 --> 00:13:31
			the path of cover, and the path of misguidance they initiated it.

00:13:32 --> 00:13:45
			When the guidance came, and they refused, and persisted upon their refusal, and persisted upon their
comfort, that is when a lock cause their hearts to deviate.

00:13:46 --> 00:13:53
			Not the other way around, not that Allah first seal their hearts.

00:13:56 --> 00:14:06
			And that's it without giving them a chance, no. A lot of first gave them the chance. And then they
chose the path

00:14:08 --> 00:14:13
			that was decreed for them. And that is when after that, that Allah seal their hearts.

00:14:14 --> 00:14:23
			And so the point of this parable of this comparison of the kuffar that Allah gives us here, the
point is to give

00:14:24 --> 00:14:25
			the Prophet

00:14:27 --> 00:14:39
			sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to give him this message. Allah is giving him this message that look,
these disbelievers who have chosen to persist in their Cofer.

00:14:40 --> 00:14:51
			They are like the dead in the graves, no matter how much you try to make them understand and you try
to make them here. You will never be able to make them here.

00:14:53 --> 00:15:00
			Why? Because these are people. These are people who their hearts are dead and their bodies have been

00:15:00 --> 00:15:17
			Become agree for their dead hearts. So no matter how much you try to make them understand, you try
to make them hear, they will never understand they will never hear. That does not mean that you give
up. And you don't you just stop giving them down. No.

00:15:19 --> 00:15:29
			Your mission and your tasks are messenger. and by extension, the believers, our mission, our task is
to convey the message

00:15:30 --> 00:15:32
			is to convey the message.

00:15:33 --> 00:15:37
			And there are some people who, if they don't want to hear, leave them.

00:15:39 --> 00:15:56
			As long as we have conveyed a message, we can't say, all these kofod around us, leave them. They're
destined for the Hellfire, why should I even bother trying to give them down? That is not the
message that our allies giving us here in these verses.

00:15:58 --> 00:16:09
			No, we have to convey the message. But after you have conveyed the message, after you have put in
the effort, then there will be a people who will accept and the people who will reject.

00:16:11 --> 00:16:36
			Don't worry about the rejection. That is what a lot is trying to avoid is trying to console the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And also the believers by extension, that, you know, take it
easy on yourself, don't become depressed, don't fall into grief, that, you know, I'm giving them so
much data where and they're not responding.

00:16:37 --> 00:16:43
			know you've done your part. Now leave the guidance of the hearts leave that to Allah.

00:16:44 --> 00:16:49
			So do your part, and then back off, if they want to persist in their culture.

00:16:50 --> 00:16:58
			And as long as you have conveyed the message, and they have understood it, or you have conveyed it
in a way that they can understand it, then you have done your part.

00:16:59 --> 00:17:09
			And if they persist in this way, then they are like the dead who are in their graves, no matter how
much you try, you will never be able to make them to here.

00:17:10 --> 00:17:17
			Among the lessons that we learned from this example this parable that Allah gives us is first and
foremost.

00:17:19 --> 00:17:23
			Look at the descriptions that Allah gives us here in these verses.

00:17:26 --> 00:17:28
			Well, now you're still on now what about free,

00:17:31 --> 00:17:36
			not equal are the blind and the one who can see.

00:17:38 --> 00:17:40
			This is the comparison of

00:17:42 --> 00:17:45
			the caffeine and the movement, the disbeliever and the believer.

00:17:47 --> 00:18:01
			As throughout the Quran, Allah gives us this comparison that the believers can see perfectly and the
disbelievers they're blind. So Allah asks the question, or Allah says here,

00:18:02 --> 00:18:04
			one yester will honor

00:18:06 --> 00:18:09
			the blind, he is not like the one who can see.

00:18:11 --> 00:18:14
			Likewise, the believer is not like a disbeliever.

00:18:16 --> 00:18:18
			When a Luma to Allah nor

00:18:19 --> 00:18:22
			nor is darknesses like light, again.

00:18:24 --> 00:18:27
			This is the comparison of the believer and the disbeliever.

00:18:28 --> 00:18:30
			The disbeliever he is in darknesses

00:18:31 --> 00:18:34
			and the believer he is in light.

00:18:35 --> 00:18:39
			And we have come across parables previously, which showed that

00:18:40 --> 00:18:41
			how a lot

00:18:42 --> 00:18:49
			mentions how the disbelievers are in darknesses one upon the other whereas the believers they have
light

00:18:51 --> 00:18:58
			Well, what a will do what and her or nor is the shade, like

00:18:59 --> 00:19:01
			like heat, scorching heat.

00:19:02 --> 00:19:06
			If you stand outside in the scorching sun and the heat

00:19:08 --> 00:19:11
			it is not like another person who is standing under shade.

00:19:14 --> 00:19:19
			Likewise, on the day of judgment, there will be the Kufa

00:19:20 --> 00:19:34
			and those were destined for the Hellfire, they will be in the scorching heat of the sun. As the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told us that the sun will come very close on that day, until
people will be sweating and sweating.

00:19:37 --> 00:19:46
			Whereas there will be people who will be under the shade of Allah. As a prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam said in another Hadith, that there will be seven, who will be

00:19:47 --> 00:19:59
			seven different kinds of people who will be under the shade of Allah, young men out loud on a day in
which there will be no shade except the shade of Allah. So likewise, one will do

00:20:00 --> 00:20:00
			Hello,

00:20:02 --> 00:20:04
			the shade is not like the scorching heat.

00:20:06 --> 00:20:09
			And then Allah says woman is still here well

00:20:13 --> 00:20:16
			those who are living are not like those who are dead.

00:20:17 --> 00:20:58
			And so look at these descriptions that Allah gives us here. The believers See, while the
disbelievers are blind, the believers have a light. While the disbelievers are in darkness, the
believers live in shade in this dunya and also they will be in the shade in the accurate in this
dunya they live in shade that protects them from the heat of misguidance and doubts. While the
disbelievers they live in constant attack by the scorching winds, of misguidance and Cofer Finally,
the believers have life while the disbelievers are dead.

00:20:59 --> 00:21:04
			The second lesson that we learn here is that the guidance of the hearts

00:21:05 --> 00:21:06
			it belongs to a lot alone.

00:21:08 --> 00:21:19
			The guidance of the hearts is not in my hands nor in your hands, nor in the hands of the best man to
walk the face of this earth.

00:21:20 --> 00:21:26
			Our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam Allah said regarding him in nicoleta demon

00:21:27 --> 00:21:34
			while I can no lie demon shot you owe Mohammed cannot guide whomever you love.

00:21:36 --> 00:21:39
			You cannot guide whom you want for them guidance,

00:21:40 --> 00:21:42
			but rather it is a law who guide

00:21:44 --> 00:22:10
			and it is said that this was revealed concerning the uncle of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam Abu Talib, who the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam wanted him to be guided to Islam. And
he did everything he could for him to be guided, because he was a good man who had supported the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam while remaining a cafe.

00:22:11 --> 00:22:18
			He supported the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam stood by his side while he remained upon his
coffee

00:22:19 --> 00:22:25
			until the very last moments of his life, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam pleaded with him.

00:22:26 --> 00:22:49
			Please my uncle, c'est la ilaha illAllah. While you know, the kofod from his family, from Croatia,
they were by his side warning Abu Talib. How dare you? How dare you leave the religion of your
forefathers.

00:22:50 --> 00:23:08
			And so it was like a battle between the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and then until finally,
he breathed his last breath without saying the Shahada. And so he, it was a very, very difficult
moment for the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. But the point is, that Allah reminded him that
look,

00:23:09 --> 00:23:16
			guidance is in my hands, not in your hands. So if that was with regards to the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam that helped me and you

00:23:18 --> 00:23:19
			Who are we

00:23:20 --> 00:23:25
			to, you know, claim that we have to

00:23:27 --> 00:23:32
			force people to be guided know, the guidance of the hearts, it belongs to a lot alone.

00:23:35 --> 00:23:45
			Our job, and our task is simply to make the people to hear the message to convey the message, which
is why a lot ends these verses by saying

00:23:46 --> 00:23:50
			what does a lot and these verses by saying, Ilana D.

00:23:51 --> 00:23:55
			O Muhammad, you are nothing but a warner. That's all you are.

00:23:56 --> 00:23:57
			Your job is to warn

00:23:58 --> 00:24:00
			Warren of the punishment of a law

00:24:01 --> 00:24:16
			warn these people of the consequence of their persistence upon cover. Warn them, that's all you have
to do. That is your job. You are a warner in selling aka bill healthy bashira whenever we sent you
with the truth,

00:24:17 --> 00:24:22
			as a deliverer of glad tidings, and as a warner,

00:24:23 --> 00:24:35
			you give glad tidings to the believers who accept and you warn those who do not accept. We're in
mutton Illa holla fi Hana de and there is no nation

00:24:37 --> 00:24:54
			except that it had a warner meaning allies telling us here that there there was no nation, no
civilization in history, except that Allah sent them a messenger, as Allah says elsewhere in the
Quran

00:24:56 --> 00:25:00
			that he sent to every single nation every single civilized.

00:25:00 --> 00:25:01
			As a messenger.

00:25:03 --> 00:25:03
			And so

00:25:05 --> 00:25:25
			the job of these messengers was to convey the message. And that is the very meaning of messenger,
what is a messenger? A messenger is one who conveys a message. And so, these messengers were chosen
by Allah, to convey a law's message to the people.

00:25:27 --> 00:25:28
			And so what we learned from this is

00:25:29 --> 00:25:35
			that our only job is to convey the message not to guide the hearts that belongs to Allah.

00:25:36 --> 00:25:37
			Finally,

00:25:39 --> 00:25:41
			the worst kind of deprivation

00:25:44 --> 00:25:48
			is not to be deprived of something of this dunya

00:25:50 --> 00:25:57
			the worst kind of deprivation is not that you are deprived of wealth,

00:25:59 --> 00:26:01
			or have a status in this dunya

00:26:03 --> 00:26:05
			or that you are deprived of

00:26:08 --> 00:26:10
			something special in this dunya

00:26:12 --> 00:26:13
			but rather,

00:26:14 --> 00:26:15
			true deprivation

00:26:17 --> 00:26:27
			is to be deprived of benefiting from the most eloquent and truthful of speech. And that is a Quran.

00:26:29 --> 00:26:31
			Imagine people

00:26:34 --> 00:26:37
			who had the opportunity to hear the words of Allah.

00:26:41 --> 00:26:43
			But they refuse to accept them.

00:26:47 --> 00:26:48
			They refuse to accept

00:26:50 --> 00:26:53
			the words of Allah, even though they could hear them.

00:26:56 --> 00:26:59
			And they remain upon their cooker until they die in that state.

00:27:01 --> 00:27:03
			That is what you call true deprivation.

00:27:05 --> 00:27:06
			Because

00:27:07 --> 00:27:10
			there were people in history

00:27:12 --> 00:27:15
			who wish they could have had that opportunity.

00:27:18 --> 00:27:20
			And we have examples of this.

00:27:23 --> 00:27:24
			From the time of Jerry Lee,

00:27:26 --> 00:27:27
			people like

00:27:28 --> 00:27:30
			what are called Ivanova

00:27:32 --> 00:27:37
			who was a relative of Khadija or the Allahu Allah. And

00:27:38 --> 00:27:40
			he had learned something of the Scripture.

00:27:42 --> 00:27:47
			And he was a model theist. He was upon toe sheet.

00:27:49 --> 00:27:55
			And so when the first revelation came to the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam when he was in the
cave of Hara,

00:27:57 --> 00:28:06
			and he came running to his wife Khadija Khadija right away called worker bee no fell and asked him
because you know, what occurred? We know.

00:28:07 --> 00:28:10
			He was knowledgeable. He was a knowledgeable man, a wise man.

00:28:13 --> 00:28:16
			And so she asked, What is this? And right away what could have been no felt?

00:28:18 --> 00:28:33
			He noticed that this was jabril alehissalaam, who came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
with those words, it could not read. And so what occurred in nofal, his reaction was,

00:28:34 --> 00:28:38
			he told the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam that you

00:28:40 --> 00:28:45
			are being sent on a huge mission, you are about to be sent on a huge mission.

00:28:47 --> 00:28:55
			And he said to him, I wish I could be with you on that day, when your people will

00:28:58 --> 00:28:59
			expel you from your city.

00:29:01 --> 00:29:21
			And the province also, you know, he was shocked, you know, my people, they're gonna kick me out of
Mecca. He said, yes, there was no profit, no messenger who has ever sent in history except that that
was a result. And so he says, that, if that day will would come and I was alive, I would be there to
support you.

00:29:22 --> 00:29:23
			But he ended up passing away.

00:29:25 --> 00:29:27
			And so he wished that he

00:29:29 --> 00:29:34
			could have heard the words of love and benefited from them.

00:29:38 --> 00:29:45
			And nothing would have been more valuable to him than that. Unfortunately, today, we have

00:29:48 --> 00:29:49
			the majority of people

00:29:50 --> 00:29:56
			who think through deprivation is to be deprived of,

00:29:57 --> 00:29:59
			you know, wealth in the dunya

00:30:00 --> 00:30:01
			theme in this dunya

00:30:03 --> 00:30:05
			a status in this dunya

00:30:06 --> 00:30:17
			we think that true deprivation is to be deprived of that, that when you are aiming for something in
this dunya and you don't end up achieving it, you think you've been deprived, while others.

00:30:18 --> 00:30:33
			They have succeeded. But no, the reality is that true deprivation is to be deprived of the most
eloquent and the most truthful of speech to benefit from it when you hear it.

00:30:34 --> 00:30:39
			And so this is the parable that Allah gives us here in Surah sutra
