00:00:46 --> 00:00:48
			Last week we spoke about

00:00:50 --> 00:00:52
			the aftermath of the battle better.

00:00:55 --> 00:00:58
			How after the battle was over,

00:00:59 --> 00:01:03
			the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam started to make his way back to El Medina.

00:01:06 --> 00:01:15
			But before doing so he sent two of his companions to convey the good news of the victory to the
people of Medina.

00:01:17 --> 00:01:26
			And we also talked about how the news of defeat reached the people of NACA.

00:01:28 --> 00:01:30
			And then we spoke about the dispute

00:01:31 --> 00:01:34
			concerning the spoils of war

00:01:36 --> 00:01:37
			and the captives of war.

00:01:40 --> 00:01:44
			And we mentioned how Allah subhanho wa Taala settled

00:01:45 --> 00:01:53
			the dispute concerning both of these two things, the spoils of war, Allah subhanho wa Taala revealed

00:01:54 --> 00:01:58
			in detail regarding how to distribute and divide

00:01:59 --> 00:02:01
			the booty and the spoils of war.

00:02:02 --> 00:02:03
			And who gets what,

00:02:05 --> 00:02:07
			as for the captives of war.

00:02:08 --> 00:02:09
			Then we spoke about

00:02:11 --> 00:02:13
			how Allah subhanho wa Taala

00:02:14 --> 00:02:15
			settled that dispute.

00:02:17 --> 00:02:30
			After the Companions they had, disagreed, and so you had Abu Bakr and those who agreed with him,
saying that these prisoners should be

00:02:31 --> 00:02:32
			freed

00:02:33 --> 00:02:34
			should be let go.

00:02:35 --> 00:02:39
			And how you had aroma Ravi Allahu Han and those who agreed with him

00:02:40 --> 00:02:43
			who said that no, they should be killed and executed.

00:02:48 --> 00:02:55
			So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam initially, he was leading towards the position of
Abubakar on the Allah.

00:02:57 --> 00:02:59
			But Allah subhanho wa Taala revealed

00:03:03 --> 00:03:04
			concerning this issue,

00:03:06 --> 00:03:07
			and how

00:03:09 --> 00:03:13
			the opinion of Omar Abdullah Wuhan was the more correct one.

00:03:16 --> 00:03:17
			So we spoke about that last week.

00:03:19 --> 00:03:23
			And we mentioned that the ruling concerning the prisoners of war

00:03:24 --> 00:03:25
			in Islam

00:03:27 --> 00:03:35
			thereafter was that it is up to the Muslim imam, the Muslim leader to decide to determine their fate

00:03:36 --> 00:03:51
			by their executing them or freeing them without any ransom or freeing them with ransom, or
enslaving. Some of them. It's obviously what we mentioned last week.

00:03:54 --> 00:04:07
			So now Rasul Allah, He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was on his way back to enmity. When Allah
subhanahu adatto revealed to him Mercan Alina being in your corner who a surah you feel

00:04:09 --> 00:04:17
			it is not fit for a prophet, that he should take captives until he has thoroughly slaughtered his
enemies in the land.

00:04:20 --> 00:04:25
			To the tune out over dunya Allah who you really ask, you desire

00:04:26 --> 00:04:30
			the commodities of the dunya while Allah desires for you that after

00:04:31 --> 00:04:34
			it's all so it was this verse that said of the dispute.

00:04:35 --> 00:04:46
			It's all Allah subhanho wa Taala wanted the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam initially this is
the first battle and the Muslims need to have some kind of authority, some kind of power.

00:04:47 --> 00:04:50
			And the way to do that is by executing these people

00:04:56 --> 00:04:59
			so while the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was on his way back

00:05:00 --> 00:05:06
			twill Medina Allah revealed this higher and so Rasul Allah, he's sallallahu alayhi wa sallam then

00:05:07 --> 00:05:09
			proceeds to the prisoners.

00:05:13 --> 00:05:16
			And he chooses out of them to individuals.

00:05:18 --> 00:05:19
			And he asked them to come forward.

00:05:22 --> 00:05:24
			These two were Rockabye even Abby Murphy,

00:05:26 --> 00:05:27
			and a novel, ebullient high.

00:05:29 --> 00:05:36
			Out of all the 70 prisoners, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam handpicks these two

00:05:37 --> 00:05:40
			rasuluh Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam calls her Akbar.

00:05:42 --> 00:05:44
			And Akbar says,

00:05:46 --> 00:05:49
			How come you're choosing me out of everyone else to be killed?

00:05:51 --> 00:06:03
			If you're going to kill the rest of the prisoners of war, then kill me with them. If you're going to
ransom them, then ransom me with them. How come you're picking me out of everyone else to be
executed?

00:06:04 --> 00:06:07
			So Rasool allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to him,

00:06:08 --> 00:06:14
			because of your enmity, and your animosity towards Allah and His messenger.

00:06:16 --> 00:06:17
			So Rockwell said

00:06:19 --> 00:06:21
			mainly Salia, who's gonna take care of my children?

00:06:23 --> 00:06:29
			He was trying to find a way and sort of sort of what he said Allah who had even said and said, A
knock the fire

00:06:31 --> 00:06:37
			and then he said, Oh, house him, one of the companions. He said, Oh, house will bring him forward
and behead him.

00:06:38 --> 00:06:45
			So Robert was immediately beheaded by acid in tablet Radi Allahu I

00:06:48 --> 00:06:54
			asked for the other one another YBNL Harris Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:06:55 --> 00:06:59
			gave orders to Ali, a bit of his body probably allow him to execute him.

00:07:03 --> 00:07:06
			These two men were specifically picked out

00:07:08 --> 00:07:10
			because of how evil they were,

00:07:11 --> 00:07:13
			because of their enmity

00:07:14 --> 00:07:16
			to Islam and the Muslims.

00:07:17 --> 00:07:19
			Even Kathy, he says,

00:07:20 --> 00:07:30
			These two men were among the most evil of Allah servants, the most stubborn the most wicked, the
most envious and disbelieving of men.

00:07:31 --> 00:07:35
			They were very active in mocking Islam and its people.

00:07:37 --> 00:07:41
			Allah curse them. And he did indeed.

00:07:44 --> 00:07:49
			It was a Rockler even be more I who, once

00:07:51 --> 00:08:03
			when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was in Mecca, and he was in Salah, and he was praying
by the Kaaba, and he went into sujood it was this same doctor

00:08:04 --> 00:08:09
			who came and put his foot on the neck of Rasulullah sallallahu It was sort of pressing his head down

00:08:11 --> 00:08:21
			Rasul Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says that at that moment, he felt as if his eyes were
going to pop out because of the pressure.

00:08:24 --> 00:08:31
			Well, Hoka was also the one who saw Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam praying it Raghu

00:08:33 --> 00:08:38
			and he came in through the intestines of a camel over his back.

00:08:40 --> 00:08:45
			And then found the model the one behind her. She was young, she came and she will move them.

00:08:47 --> 00:08:48
			And we mentioned this previously,

00:08:49 --> 00:08:54
			when we mentioned the persecution of Quraysh

00:08:56 --> 00:08:59
			of Rasul, Allah is on Salem and his companions in Mecca.

00:09:00 --> 00:09:03
			So Luca was a devil from Koresh.

00:09:04 --> 00:09:06
			And that is why he deserved this punishment.

00:09:09 --> 00:09:11
			As we're another in a hurry.

00:09:12 --> 00:09:17
			He was the one we also mentioned him previously, he was the one who would go to Persia

00:09:18 --> 00:09:21
			to learn the stories of the Persian kings.

00:09:23 --> 00:09:24
			And then he would come back to Mecca,

00:09:26 --> 00:09:28
			and would invite people to come and listen to his stories,

00:09:30 --> 00:09:34
			claiming that my stories are better than the stories that Muhammad is telling him.

00:09:36 --> 00:09:44
			He would say, ask people what makes Muhammad more befitting of being a prophet when I could tell
stories just like him.

00:09:46 --> 00:09:48
			And so his whole mission was

00:09:49 --> 00:09:53
			to sway people away from

00:09:54 --> 00:09:58
			the Dawa of the prophets of Allah le whistling

00:10:00 --> 00:10:01
			So these two men were executed

00:10:03 --> 00:10:05
			and they deserved what they got.

00:10:08 --> 00:10:15
			As for the rest of the prisoners, we mentioned that 70 prisoners came in the hands of the Muslims.

00:10:18 --> 00:10:23
			For the rest of them Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam gave the Sahaba specific orders.

00:10:25 --> 00:10:28
			He gave them specific instructions saying

00:10:31 --> 00:10:36
			treat the prisoners of war kindly treat them well.

00:10:41 --> 00:10:42
			And so,

00:10:43 --> 00:10:48
			one of them Abu Aziz bin Mohammed,

00:10:50 --> 00:10:53
			he was the brother of Mossad, the Libyan army, or the Allahu

00:10:55 --> 00:10:58
			he was the flag bearer

00:10:59 --> 00:11:00
			of Quraysh. On the day of better

00:11:02 --> 00:11:07
			after another in a hurry. He's the one who was carrying their flag.

00:11:09 --> 00:11:09
			He said,

00:11:11 --> 00:11:16
			I was with a group of the unsolved who were bringing me from weather.

00:11:17 --> 00:11:19
			When they had their lunch and their dinner.

00:11:21 --> 00:11:24
			They gave me the bread and ate the dates themselves.

00:11:25 --> 00:11:31
			In accordance with the instructions, given by Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam regarding us,

00:11:32 --> 00:11:36
			every piece of bread that came into their hands, they pass it on to me.

00:11:37 --> 00:11:43
			I became embarrassed, and I would return the bread back, but they would pass it back untouched.

00:11:45 --> 00:11:51
			And so bread was the better food compared to compare to dates. And so the Assad

00:11:53 --> 00:11:54
			would survive on dates

00:11:56 --> 00:11:56
			and give

00:11:57 --> 00:11:59
			the prisoners read

00:12:01 --> 00:12:06
			it so they were treating them better than they were treating their own selves.

00:12:09 --> 00:12:15
			In this is a quality that Allah subhanahu taharah praised the quality of the believers that Allah
praise in the Quran.

00:12:17 --> 00:12:26
			While you are a Munna, Diana, Allah Furby, Miss Kenan way a team in what I see raw.

00:12:28 --> 00:12:33
			The believers they give food despite the fact that they love it, they desire this food.

00:12:34 --> 00:12:36
			They give it to the poor,

00:12:38 --> 00:12:40
			the orphan and,

00:12:42 --> 00:12:45
			and the captive, the prisoner specifically Allah mentions

00:12:46 --> 00:12:47
			the captive.

00:12:51 --> 00:13:03
			Other prisoners, they testify to this same treatment. And so Abu Mohammed ibn Arabia and Al Walid in
the movie era, they said pretty much the same thing.

00:13:04 --> 00:13:05
			And will lead added

00:13:06 --> 00:13:10
			they would walk while we would write.

00:13:12 --> 00:13:13
			The Sahaba

00:13:14 --> 00:13:19
			would walk and allow these prisoners to sit on the right the camels

00:13:21 --> 00:13:27
			going back to the Medina, so the prisoners were writing while the Sahaba were walking. So this good
treatment

00:13:30 --> 00:13:32
			played a huge role

00:13:33 --> 00:13:36
			in many of these prisoners accepting Islam later on.

00:13:38 --> 00:13:42
			So we see the wisdom behind the instructions of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:13:43 --> 00:13:58
			Yes, these are captives of war. They're prisoners. They don't deserve all of this. But the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was looking long term he had something else in mind. Let us see how we
can attract their hearts to Islam.

00:14:01 --> 00:14:07
			The next day, rasool Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam enters Medina with the prisoners.

00:14:10 --> 00:14:14
			The prisoners were camped in a specific location

00:14:19 --> 00:14:20
			Selda

00:14:21 --> 00:14:27
			Radi Allahu Han had one of the wives of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:14:28 --> 00:14:29
			She came in

00:14:30 --> 00:14:34
			and she saw one of the prisoners with his hands tied up.

00:14:36 --> 00:14:38
			And that was Suhail in Hummer.

00:14:40 --> 00:14:42
			One of the noble men of kurush.

00:14:45 --> 00:14:47
			When she saw him, she was shocked.

00:14:48 --> 00:14:49
			And she said,

00:14:50 --> 00:14:51
			You surrendered?

00:14:53 --> 00:14:55
			Why didn't you die as normal men.

00:14:58 --> 00:14:59
			And so Rasul Allah, he's Salam.

00:15:00 --> 00:15:02
			on radio so when he heard the statement from soda,

00:15:03 --> 00:15:05
			he said to her,

00:15:06 --> 00:15:09
			are you asking them to fight Allah's Messenger?

00:15:11 --> 00:15:13
			He said this because sell this question

00:15:15 --> 00:15:20
			to this prisoner meant, why didn't you fight instead of being defeated

00:15:21 --> 00:15:25
			and being taken, humiliated as captives of war?

00:15:26 --> 00:15:28
			Obviously, if you would fight,

00:15:29 --> 00:15:41
			then you would fight against Muhammad Sallallahu yourself. And so soda. She apologized for that. And
she said, yeah rasool Allah. When I saw him in that state humiliated,

00:15:42 --> 00:15:44
			I couldn't help but make such a statement.

00:15:46 --> 00:15:50
			It's all her emotions overwhelmed her when she saw so hate.

00:15:51 --> 00:15:57
			And this tells us how humiliated the leaders of Croatia were on that day.

00:16:00 --> 00:16:15
			And how shocking it was for the Muslims of Medina, especially the mohajir rule. Who knew these
people? How shocked they were at the site. We mentioned last week, when the news reached in Madeira,

00:16:16 --> 00:16:21
			that many of the Muslims were in denial they couldn't believe it.

00:16:22 --> 00:16:24
			And how Oussama even Zayn.

00:16:26 --> 00:16:28
			It was his father who came and brought the news.

00:16:30 --> 00:16:31
			And even after he asked him,

00:16:32 --> 00:16:38
			he says later on, by Allah, we did not believe it. Until we saw the captives.

00:16:40 --> 00:16:44
			The next day when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam come, he came with them.

00:16:47 --> 00:16:52
			So what did also Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam do with all of these prisoners

00:16:57 --> 00:17:02
			basically, they were told to ransom themselves.

00:17:04 --> 00:17:09
			Those were executed were executed. They were done with the rest of these.

00:17:12 --> 00:17:14
			They were allowed to buy their freedom.

00:17:18 --> 00:17:21
			And this was all based on how rich they were.

00:17:22 --> 00:17:30
			Those who had a lot of money and wealth, they were told to, to give a lot to ransom themselves.

00:17:31 --> 00:17:32
			Others based on how much they had.

00:17:35 --> 00:17:39
			And then there were some as we're gonna see, there were some who didn't have anything.

00:17:41 --> 00:17:45
			And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam let them go without any ransom.

00:17:47 --> 00:17:49
			It's all let us look at some of these captives

00:17:51 --> 00:17:55
			and how they were able to buy their freedom.

00:17:58 --> 00:18:02
			The first is the uncle of Rasulullah he sallallahu alayhi wa salam

00:18:04 --> 00:18:06
			Al had Burse Ibn Abdul Malik

00:18:10 --> 00:18:12
			and we mentioned last week that

00:18:14 --> 00:18:16
			he had come with Quraysh from Makkah.

00:18:18 --> 00:18:18
			And

00:18:19 --> 00:18:21
			he was brought as a prisoner.

00:18:22 --> 00:18:27
			And we mentioned previously, how the Ansari who brought him

00:18:28 --> 00:18:36
			and Abbas he when he came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he said, Yasuda Allah, this is
not the person who caught me.

00:18:40 --> 00:18:46
			And then he explained who the person was. And it was actually an angel who had captured him.

00:18:48 --> 00:18:52
			But it was this Ansari who brought him to the School of Law. He said Allahu Allah yourself.

00:18:54 --> 00:18:55
			And so

00:18:57 --> 00:19:05
			the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam comes to meet his uncle elantas. And Abbas says to him right
away ya rasool Allah, I'm a Muslim.

00:19:10 --> 00:19:11
			And we mentioned last week

00:19:14 --> 00:19:15
			that his wife

00:19:17 --> 00:19:18
			on mill father

00:19:19 --> 00:19:20
			was also a Muslim.

00:19:22 --> 00:19:30
			And their servant, their slave, abou raffia, was also a Muslim. We mentioned last week what happened

00:19:31 --> 00:19:34
			to Abu Lahab in Makkah,

00:19:35 --> 00:19:36
			and how it was

00:19:38 --> 00:19:38
			my father,

00:19:41 --> 00:19:49
			who basically hit him on the head, after Abu Lahab tried to beat up the servant of Al Abbas.

00:19:51 --> 00:19:53
			So this was a family of Muslims,

00:19:54 --> 00:19:56
			including Atlanta as

00:19:59 --> 00:20:00
			well

00:20:00 --> 00:20:01
			Hadar said this.

00:20:03 --> 00:20:05
			The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to him,

00:20:08 --> 00:20:10
			Allah knows best about you accepting Islam.

00:20:12 --> 00:20:16
			If what you say is true, then Allah will reward you.

00:20:17 --> 00:20:22
			But what was evident was that you were against us.

00:20:24 --> 00:20:27
			You know, going by what is apparent? You came out with the enemy.

00:20:29 --> 00:20:30
			You're on their side.

00:20:32 --> 00:20:36
			And then he said, Allahu alayhi wa sallam said to him, so ransom yourself.

00:20:39 --> 00:20:42
			Not just yourself, but also your two nephews.

00:20:43 --> 00:20:49
			Nofal, YBNL Harith ibn Abdullah lapolla, when after you even at the bottom

00:20:51 --> 00:20:53
			as well as your ally earth were even hungry.

00:20:55 --> 00:21:03
			Why was the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam telling him to ransom all of these prisoners?
Because Allah Das was wealthy. He was rich.

00:21:05 --> 00:21:09
			So in our Das, he said, I don't have all that money

00:21:12 --> 00:21:15
			it's also the law he said of Loggerhead it and sort of said to him,

00:21:17 --> 00:21:21
			What about the money that you buried in the ground

00:21:23 --> 00:21:24
			next to your door

00:21:25 --> 00:21:32
			before leaving Mecca, and you told your wife or melphalan if I am killed, then make use of this
money.

00:21:35 --> 00:21:36
			So as I said,

00:21:38 --> 00:21:40
			I know you are the Messenger of Allah.

00:21:41 --> 00:21:45
			No one knew of that treasure of mine except me and my wife

00:21:49 --> 00:21:54
			al Abbas then he paid for his ransom. He freed all of these other prisoners as well.

00:21:56 --> 00:22:01
			And it is said that Allah subhanahu Attallah revealed concerning him

00:22:03 --> 00:22:20
			in total exile Allah subhanahu Italeri says, Yeah, you have to be you can limit V ID convener SR II
anime love, you can only compile your on your decompile your goofy domain comm Wi Fi Lacan, Allah
who was a photo of Rahim, Allah says, All Prophet,

00:22:22 --> 00:22:24
			tell the captives in your custody.

00:22:25 --> 00:22:28
			It If Allah finds goodness in your heart,

00:22:30 --> 00:22:32
			He will give you better than what has been taken from you.

00:22:34 --> 00:22:50
			And He will forgive you. For Allah is all forgiving, Most Merciful. What AUD do he an attacker for
the Harnois convolution, chaetomium Allahu Allah, human hiking, but if their intention is only to
betray you,

00:22:52 --> 00:22:57
			then they sought they tried to betray Allah before

00:22:58 --> 00:23:00
			the Allah gave you power over them.

00:23:01 --> 00:23:07
			And the word is all knowing all lives. So Allah is telling these men who claimed that they were
Muslims,

00:23:08 --> 00:23:10
			among them an ibis

00:23:13 --> 00:23:15
			and they have no paid to do a ransom.

00:23:17 --> 00:23:22
			Allah is telling them that if they aren't Muslims, then Allah will replace that money

00:23:23 --> 00:23:24
			that they gave that ransom

00:23:27 --> 00:23:28
			with something far better.

00:23:31 --> 00:23:32
			And ambass He says,

00:23:35 --> 00:23:38
			I gave 20 Oh, Priya of gold.

00:23:39 --> 00:23:41
			A huge amount of gold from my rancer

00:23:43 --> 00:23:47
			he says, And then Allah gave me much more than that.

00:23:49 --> 00:23:51
			He gave me 20 slaves,

00:23:52 --> 00:23:56
			all of whom had amassed a lot of wealth, but a lot of wealth

00:23:57 --> 00:24:01
			along with what I hope for of Allah's forgiveness,

00:24:03 --> 00:24:07
			and so look at how Allah replaced that money that he gave in ransom.

00:24:10 --> 00:24:13
			Not just did Allah replace it, but Allah multiplied it for him.

00:24:14 --> 00:24:15
			As Allah says here,

00:24:17 --> 00:24:19
			Allah will give you what is better.

00:24:21 --> 00:24:35
			As long as you are true believers in Yattaman love equal to be concrete. If there's any good in your
hearts, that Allah will do this. So Allah did it with the believers, those who accepted Islam from
among

00:24:36 --> 00:24:38
			these prisoners.

00:24:43 --> 00:24:46
			opalhouse Ebner Robbia was another prisoner.

00:24:49 --> 00:24:50
			Who was he?

00:24:54 --> 00:24:55
			He was the husband of

00:24:58 --> 00:24:59
			Xena Binta Rasulillah

00:25:00 --> 00:25:00
			that is on the line.

00:25:03 --> 00:25:03
			So,

00:25:04 --> 00:25:10
			the daughter of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was married to a cafe Mushnik.

00:25:13 --> 00:25:23
			This was before the ruling that Muslim women are not allowed to be married to wish they commit.

00:25:25 --> 00:25:30
			So later on, Allah revealed that that

00:25:31 --> 00:25:36
			a mushrik is not allowed to be married to a meaner, unbelieving woman.

00:25:37 --> 00:25:43
			So at that time, Xena, the daughter of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam had not made hijra

00:25:44 --> 00:25:45
			with the Muslims to a media.

00:25:46 --> 00:25:51
			Although she was a Muslim, she had remained in Mecca with her husband who was a mushrik.

00:25:55 --> 00:25:56
			And so

00:25:57 --> 00:26:00
			Xena bromby Allahu Allah wanted to free her husband.

00:26:03 --> 00:26:09
			So she sends an amount of money, which was sufficient to release her husband from captivity.

00:26:11 --> 00:26:15
			And she also send along with that money, a necklace.

00:26:17 --> 00:26:20
			This necklace was given to her by who

00:26:22 --> 00:26:24
			it was given to her by her mother.

00:26:26 --> 00:26:30
			Heidi Donald the Allah Who hired her as a wedding gift.

00:26:34 --> 00:26:43
			When the money arrives in the hands of Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and he sees the
necklace. It brought back memories of his wife Khadija

00:26:44 --> 00:26:46
			it's all this necklace. It touched his heart.

00:26:47 --> 00:26:51
			It's all rasool Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told her on Saudi

00:26:52 --> 00:26:54
			who was holding a house

00:26:55 --> 00:26:56
			in Arabia.

00:26:58 --> 00:27:00
			He told her on Saudi that look, if you think

00:27:02 --> 00:27:04
			it is fit, to

00:27:06 --> 00:27:17
			release her prisoner to her to send him back to Mecca and also to return to her what belongs to her
meaning this necklace, they do so.

00:27:19 --> 00:27:23
			So they immediately released Ebola house without any ransom

00:27:25 --> 00:27:28
			and they also send back the necklace.

00:27:31 --> 00:27:36
			Now the Zulu Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa salam police to condition on the release of Ebola house.

00:27:38 --> 00:27:45
			That condition was that Ebola house will never assist an enemy against the Muslims

00:27:46 --> 00:27:46
			and

00:27:48 --> 00:27:52
			that he has to send Xena to El Medina.

00:27:55 --> 00:27:57
			So Abdullah house was a man of his word.

00:27:59 --> 00:28:00
			In fact,

00:28:02 --> 00:28:06
			although he was a mushrik, he was a calf ear, and he came out to better

00:28:07 --> 00:28:24
			he was not from among the men of Qureshi who are known to rally against the prophets and Allahu
alayhi wa sallam to persecute the Muslims to come in the way of his Dawa, and so on and so forth. He
was a caffeine addict, but he made his own he would mind his own business.

00:28:25 --> 00:28:33
			And he would not be in opposition to Islam and Muslims. Nonetheless,

00:28:35 --> 00:28:42
			when he went back to Mecca, he allowed Zenith Radi Allahu Allah to leave Nokia and go to her father.

00:28:43 --> 00:28:47
			So now Xenium starts making plans to leave for El Medina.

00:28:49 --> 00:28:57
			The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to companions to go and bring her they did an
instrumental, they stayed at some distance.

00:29:00 --> 00:29:01
			It's a when she was ready.

00:29:02 --> 00:29:10
			Her husband's brother, so her brother in law Kena in Arabia, he brought a camel, which he mounted.

00:29:12 --> 00:29:13
			And then he took his bow

00:29:14 --> 00:29:16
			and his arrow, and he led her away.

00:29:18 --> 00:29:22
			She was writing in what they call a heritage, which is

00:29:23 --> 00:29:24
			a covering.

00:29:26 --> 00:29:31
			And because it was daytime, some of the men of Quraysh noticed

00:29:33 --> 00:29:36
			that someone is leaving and so they followed.

00:29:38 --> 00:29:43
			The first to reach was a bar in the US what a bin

00:29:47 --> 00:29:49
			and so he scared her with his fear.

00:29:50 --> 00:29:56
			And they say it's mentioned is near ready that she was pregnant at that time, and as a result, she
suffered a miscarriage.

00:29:57 --> 00:30:00
			Now her brother in law Oh,

00:30:00 --> 00:30:02
			was leading her out. He knelt down.

00:30:04 --> 00:30:06
			And he took his arrows.

00:30:07 --> 00:30:12
			And he said, By Allah, If any man comes near me, I'll put an arrow in him.

00:30:15 --> 00:30:19
			The men then started to retreat.

00:30:21 --> 00:30:22
			And then guess who arrives.

00:30:23 --> 00:30:24
			Abu Sofia.

00:30:26 --> 00:30:36
			Abu Sufian is now considered one of he is considered the leader of kurush because everyone else
perished in better.

00:30:38 --> 00:30:39
			So he arrives

00:30:41 --> 00:30:46
			with some other leaders for Croatia, he says, Put down your arrow so that we can talk with you.

00:30:48 --> 00:30:50
			Then I was Sofia, and he came here and he said,

00:30:51 --> 00:31:01
			You have not done well. He's talking to the brother in law of Xena probably Allahu Allah, who's
trying to

00:31:02 --> 00:31:03
			help her to escape.

00:31:04 --> 00:31:06
			So he says, You have not done well.

00:31:07 --> 00:31:18
			You came forward with a woman openly going over people's heads, even though you are aware of the
injury and the damage done to us by Hamlet.

00:31:19 --> 00:31:25
			When you took away his daughter openly, in broad daylight like this, disregarding everyone else,

00:31:27 --> 00:31:43
			the people thought this was due to the humiliation we had undergone, and that this reflected our
weakness and our incapacity. I swear. We don't want to keep her from her father, and we're not after
Revenge, but you should return back to me.

00:31:45 --> 00:31:48
			Then you can see could we take her away to her father.

00:31:50 --> 00:31:54
			So this shows you that these kuffaar of courage, respected women.

00:31:57 --> 00:32:09
			And they had no problem with her leaving to join her father, even after everything that the Muslims
had done, meaning their victory and the humiliation that

00:32:10 --> 00:32:12
			the cause the courage to suffer.

00:32:15 --> 00:32:22
			But this is these were the standards that they had. Unlike the enemies of Allah today who violate
the rights of Muslim women and children.

00:32:24 --> 00:32:31
			Anyhow, Xena probably Allahu Allah. She ended up reaching safely to Medina.

00:32:34 --> 00:32:41
			Another one of the prisoners of war was Abu Heizer. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al drew Murphy

00:32:44 --> 00:32:48
			when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam came to him, he said,

00:32:51 --> 00:32:54
			O Messenger of Allah, you know, my state of finances.

00:32:56 --> 00:32:58
			I'm a poor man, and I have a family.

00:32:59 --> 00:33:01
			So be gracious towards me.

00:33:02 --> 00:33:08
			Now, this Abu iser, he had daughters to take care of and he was poor.

00:33:10 --> 00:33:14
			So rasool Allah, He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was considerate of his situation.

00:33:16 --> 00:33:17
			So he said,

00:33:18 --> 00:33:32
			I'm going to allow you to be freed. And I'm not going to take any money from you. However, I have
one condition, and that is that you don't ever support anyone else against me ever again.

00:33:35 --> 00:33:44
			So this time you came out fighting against me in the battle and better next time, you have to refuse
to fight against Muhammad, and the Muslims.

00:33:46 --> 00:33:48
			So apologizer he agrees.

00:33:51 --> 00:33:52
			However,

00:33:54 --> 00:33:57
			this poor man also had a poor, a weak personality.

00:33:59 --> 00:34:02
			And so in the next battle,

00:34:03 --> 00:34:03
			in the Battle of

00:34:04 --> 00:34:09
			Qureshi, we're able to seduce him into joining them. And guess what?

00:34:11 --> 00:34:14
			Again, he falls into the hands of the Muslims as a captive.

00:34:17 --> 00:34:20
			And then again, he tries to use the same excuse.

00:34:22 --> 00:34:34
			But this time Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam when he sees him, he says, I will not let you
stroke your beard and go back to Mecca. And say that you have deceived Mohammed twice.

00:34:37 --> 00:34:44
			And so rasool Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam ordered his execution on the spot. This was later
on in the Battle of

00:34:51 --> 00:34:52
			the next prisoner

00:34:54 --> 00:34:55
			we had mentioned in the beginning,

00:34:57 --> 00:34:59
			and that was Sohail bin hammer.

00:35:01 --> 00:35:03
			He was the one who

00:35:06 --> 00:35:10
			when Saudi Arabia Allahu Allah saw him, she said what she said.

00:35:13 --> 00:35:16
			So he was of the nobility, one of the leaders of Koresh

00:35:19 --> 00:35:20
			and

00:35:21 --> 00:35:25
			he used to speak against Islam

00:35:27 --> 00:35:30
			using his fluent and elegant speech.

00:35:33 --> 00:35:34
			So he was

00:35:37 --> 00:35:41
			someone who used to speak, you know, give talks and lectures.

00:35:43 --> 00:35:45
			I remember Bill Barbirolli Allah who,

00:35:47 --> 00:35:52
			when he sees him among the captives, he says Ya rasool Allah,

00:35:53 --> 00:35:57
			let me take out the two front teeth of Sohail Eben amor,

00:35:58 --> 00:36:03
			so that his tongue will come out and he will never speak ill of you again.

00:36:05 --> 00:36:09
			So Emirati Allah who had wanted to mutilate his mouth, his mouth,

00:36:10 --> 00:36:16
			so that so he won't ever be able to speak properly again, as a lesson for his evil that he used to
do.

00:36:20 --> 00:36:28
			However rasool Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, I will not I will not mutilate him because
Allah could mutilate me.

00:36:30 --> 00:36:34
			Meaning that this is not how we treat people.

00:36:36 --> 00:36:47
			Rasulullah sallallahu wasallam was basically teaching or model Viola who hope that we don't have to
stoop so low. We have a certain standard that we go by.

00:36:49 --> 00:36:52
			And then what sort of law he sort of law how you sort of said something?

00:36:54 --> 00:36:55
			He said,

00:36:56 --> 00:36:57
			Perhaps

00:36:59 --> 00:37:02
			perhaps, Suhail will take a stand,

00:37:04 --> 00:37:07
			for which you will never criticize him for.

00:37:10 --> 00:37:22
			In another narration, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to Rama leave him for perhaps he
will one day delight you. He'll make you happy one day.

00:37:24 --> 00:37:29
			Rasul allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was basically saying that maybe one day

00:37:31 --> 00:37:36
			this tongue of Suhail will be used by him for the good of Islam.

00:37:38 --> 00:37:38
			And guess what?

00:37:40 --> 00:37:41
			That is exactly what ended up happening.

00:37:44 --> 00:37:47
			Rasool Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam passed away.

00:37:51 --> 00:37:54
			And whole tribes of the Arabs.

00:37:55 --> 00:38:14
			They started to apostate they started to leave Islam. When news reached that the Messenger of Allah
has passed away, because many of them their Islam was weak, their email was weak. And they had
simply accepted Islam because now the prophets of Allah who it was and was victorious after

00:38:16 --> 00:38:18
			after the conquest of Mecca.

00:38:19 --> 00:38:32
			So whole tribes were coming and embracing Islam, because now they had to, there was no choice. But
when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam passed away. This was an excuse by them to now abandon
Islam.

00:38:41 --> 00:38:42
			When news reached mecca

00:38:44 --> 00:38:45
			of the prophets death,

00:38:47 --> 00:38:51
			some people of Makkah also wanted to apostate

00:38:53 --> 00:38:54
			and leave Islam.

00:38:55 --> 00:38:59
			So, Suhail got up the same Sohei,

00:39:00 --> 00:39:01
			who had embraced Islam.

00:39:02 --> 00:39:06
			He got up and he delivered a sermon hotbar by the Taliban.

00:39:09 --> 00:39:16
			They say it was similar to the speech delivered by Abu Bakr in El Medina.

00:39:18 --> 00:39:23
			When people were in shock, they couldn't believe that the Prophet sallallahu wasallam had passed
away.

00:39:25 --> 00:39:27
			Abu Bakr got up and said,

00:39:28 --> 00:39:39
			Whoever used to worship Mohammed Mohammed has indeed passed away. But whoever used to worship Allah
that Allah is the Ever Living and never die.

00:39:42 --> 00:39:43
			They say so he'll

00:39:45 --> 00:39:45
			have been humbled.

00:39:46 --> 00:39:51
			He had delivered the same message to the people of Makkah.

00:39:53 --> 00:40:00
			In another narration, he said oh people of Quraysh Don't be the last people to enter Islam and the

00:40:00 --> 00:40:01
			first people to leave it

00:40:02 --> 00:40:12
			because they were among the last to enter Islam towards the end of the life of the Prophet salAllahu
alayhi wasallam he said don't be the last people to enter Islam and the first to leave it.

00:40:13 --> 00:40:16
			Whoever we are suspicious of, we will behead him

00:40:17 --> 00:40:21
			meaning whoever we're suspicious that he is leaving Islam we're gonna kill him.

00:40:24 --> 00:40:26
			Now these words by Sohail

00:40:28 --> 00:40:38
			they were the reason for Maccha remaining steadfast upon Islam and not apostate and with the other
Arab tribes around the Arabian Peninsula.

00:40:40 --> 00:40:50
			When news reached the remainder of the Allahu in Medina, that this is what Sohail had said, and this
was his stance.

00:40:51 --> 00:41:10
			He said, I bear witness that Muhammad indeed is the Messenger of Allah, and that what he brought was
the truth. This was what Rasul Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam meant when he said to me, maybe
Sohail will take a stand for what you will not criticize him. Maybe one day, he will delight you.

00:41:17 --> 00:41:20
			Also, among the prisoners of war was

00:41:21 --> 00:41:22
			the son of Abu Sophia

00:41:24 --> 00:41:26
			or hammer, even Abu Sofia.

00:41:29 --> 00:41:33
			Abu Sufian was told to go and read some him

00:41:34 --> 00:41:35
			but he refused.

00:41:38 --> 00:41:43
			Because the Muslims had killed one of his sons.

00:41:45 --> 00:41:47
			So he refused to go and read some of the other.

00:41:49 --> 00:41:51
			He preferred the histone stays there.

00:41:54 --> 00:41:55
			Now Quraysh

00:41:58 --> 00:41:59
			from the days of Jay Helia,

00:42:02 --> 00:42:05
			they used to really respect and honor any pilgrim

00:42:07 --> 00:42:10
			who had come to Mecca, for Umrah for Hajj.

00:42:12 --> 00:42:19
			And this was a red line to violate the rights of the pilgrims.

00:42:21 --> 00:42:27
			In fact, they were known for their hospitality and their generosity towards the pilgrims.

00:42:28 --> 00:42:29
			So

00:42:31 --> 00:42:32
			soon after the Battle of Edo

00:42:34 --> 00:42:43
			there was a Muslim who came for Umrah from a different tribe, not from Medina, but he was a Muslim.

00:42:45 --> 00:42:50
			And so, when Abu Sufian sees him, he sees that here's a Muslim coming to Mecca.

00:42:52 --> 00:42:54
			He takes him as a prisoner.

00:42:56 --> 00:43:05
			So now this was the first time that Quraysh had violated the law of respecting the pilgrims and
treating the Pilgrims well.

00:43:07 --> 00:43:16
			So now, the family of the prisoner, they go to Medina and they go to school of law he sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam and tell him about the situation.

00:43:19 --> 00:43:22
			And so now rasool Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam means forced

00:43:23 --> 00:43:24
			to do something.

00:43:25 --> 00:43:27
			And he knows what he has to do.

00:43:28 --> 00:43:33
			What has what does he have to do? He has to release who?

00:43:34 --> 00:43:35
			The son of Abu Sophia.

00:43:37 --> 00:43:49
			And so hammer bin Abi Sufyan was released in this prisoner exchange. He was released for that was.

00:43:54 --> 00:43:55
			Now in the end,

00:43:57 --> 00:44:04
			we have all of these prisoners who rent them themselves were freed. They were prisoners who didn't
have anything to ransom

00:44:06 --> 00:44:12
			with. They didn't have any money and wealth. So Rasool allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam gave them
away.

00:44:14 --> 00:44:19
			He went to them and he said, If you teach 10 children

00:44:21 --> 00:44:24
			how to read and write, then that will be your answer.

00:44:26 --> 00:44:30
			It inhabits Abdullah bin handbasket all the Allahu Anhu that he says

00:44:31 --> 00:44:34
			some of the prisoners on the day of better did not have any ransom.

00:44:35 --> 00:44:42
			So the messenger of Allah made the ransom to teach the children of the unsolved how to write.

00:44:44 --> 00:44:48
			He says, One day a boy came crying to his father.

00:44:50 --> 00:44:51
			His father asked what happened.

00:44:53 --> 00:44:56
			The boy he said, my teacher hit me

00:44:58 --> 00:44:59
			and told the father he said

00:45:00 --> 00:45:04
			To the evil one, that evil one is seeking vengeance for better

00:45:06 --> 00:45:09
			by Allah, you will never go to him again.

00:45:11 --> 00:45:12
			The point here is

00:45:13 --> 00:45:13
			that

00:45:15 --> 00:45:19
			Rasul Allah, He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam made the rest of the prisoners

00:45:20 --> 00:45:29
			to be ransomed by something that they had. And that was the ability to teach, how to read and write.

00:45:30 --> 00:45:45
			And so this was the story of the captives of war, after the Battle of Edo, and without, we pretty
much come to the end of the story of the battle, a battle. Just one last thing that we will cover

00:45:49 --> 00:45:50
			in the next

00:45:51 --> 00:45:57
			lecture in the next session in sha, Allah, Allah, and that is the result of this data.

00:45:58 --> 00:46:03
			You know, how it changed things in Arabia,

00:46:04 --> 00:46:08
			in Medina, in Makkah, and in the surroundings,

00:46:09 --> 00:46:13
			the consequences, and the results of this battle we'll talk about next time in sha Allah.

00:46:16 --> 00:46:18
			So we move on to the lessons that we learn

00:46:20 --> 00:46:26
			from this episode of the battle better, the first lesson that we learned

00:46:28 --> 00:46:34
			is that no pity no mercy should be shown to those who don't deserve it.

00:46:37 --> 00:46:46
			We mentioned last week that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam showed mercy to those who
deserved it.

00:46:49 --> 00:47:00
			Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, if more time in ID was alive, I would have freed all of
these filthy prisoners for him for his sake.

00:47:02 --> 00:47:04
			Not even it was

00:47:05 --> 00:47:07
			a mushrik from Mecca, who

00:47:09 --> 00:47:13
			was kind to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he was

00:47:14 --> 00:47:14
			one of

00:47:16 --> 00:47:19
			the people I met care who helped in ending the siege.

00:47:21 --> 00:47:28
			And he was also the one who protected the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam after the death of his
uncle, Abu Dhabi. So

00:47:30 --> 00:47:35
			this shows how Rasul Allah He said, Allahu Allah was unwilling to act appropriately with different
people.

00:47:36 --> 00:47:38
			So he would deal with good people kindly,

00:47:39 --> 00:47:42
			and he would deal with evil people accordingly.

00:47:43 --> 00:47:53
			The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam did not show any mercy to Raka. And another because these
men were evil.

00:47:54 --> 00:47:59
			And they applauded for years against Islam and the Muslims.

00:48:01 --> 00:48:02
			They're freed freedom

00:48:03 --> 00:48:06
			posed a danger to Islam and the Muslims.

00:48:07 --> 00:48:12
			And so their execution was in the interests of the Muslims.

00:48:14 --> 00:48:15
			So we have to look at the bigger picture.

00:48:18 --> 00:48:27
			And we shouldn't say that no human being deserves to be executed, we have to look at the bigger
picture.

00:48:28 --> 00:48:32
			And so when we have such evil people

00:48:33 --> 00:48:35
			who pose such danger,

00:48:36 --> 00:48:38
			and they have a track record

00:48:40 --> 00:48:46
			of their enmity and hostility, towards Salman the Muslims, then their execution is justified.

00:48:48 --> 00:48:55
			So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam will not show any mercy to such people. The second lesson
that we learn

00:48:56 --> 00:48:59
			is how to treat the captors of war.

00:49:00 --> 00:49:16
			Throughout the battles that Rasulullah sallallahu, alayhi wasallam participated in, there are
incidents of captors being taken and being treated nicely. And then this would lead to them becoming
Muslims.

00:49:17 --> 00:49:22
			So they would stay with the Muslims. And they would be treated

00:49:24 --> 00:49:39
			in such a good way that it would soften their hearts to Islam. And so after that, after they were
released, they would accept Islam. Some of these reverts would actually go back to their people
first.

00:49:40 --> 00:49:48
			And then come back to Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam and become Muslim, just to show that
they were not becoming Muslims

00:49:50 --> 00:49:52
			because of pressure from the Muslims,

00:49:53 --> 00:49:55
			or because they were afraid of the sword.

00:49:58 --> 00:50:00
			So one example was a

00:50:00 --> 00:50:00
			raisins

00:50:02 --> 00:50:06
			we mentioned him earlier on the brother of

00:50:07 --> 00:50:08
			must have been Romaine.

00:50:09 --> 00:50:12
			And so he became a Muslim after he saw how he was treated.

00:50:14 --> 00:50:35
			And so what this teaches us is that, you know, if not a clot is extremely important, even with your
enemy, and so the Muslim should treat their enemy with dignity. And so a Muslim is not cruel, wicked
or deceptive. Rather Muslim treats everyone with honesty, dignity and straightforwardness

00:50:37 --> 00:50:40
			except those who deserve to be dealt with

00:50:42 --> 00:50:43
			you know

00:50:44 --> 00:50:58
			in a harsh way, as we saw in the previous example, you know, there are certain people who you cannot
afford to treat them kindly, because treating them kindly is actually like being fooled by them.

00:50:59 --> 00:51:03
			Because these people are now going to turn around and harm the lessons.

00:51:04 --> 00:51:07
			The third lesson that we learn is

00:51:08 --> 00:51:11
			that we go by what is apparent

00:51:15 --> 00:51:18
			Rasul Allah He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told an ibis,

00:51:19 --> 00:51:22
			when he said that, you know rasool Allah and mimosa.

00:51:24 --> 00:51:33
			He said to him, what was evident was that you were against us. What was apparent, the lawyer, the
apparent was

00:51:34 --> 00:51:38
			that you are not one of us, you are against us.

00:51:40 --> 00:51:42
			It's all a sort of law, he said along he was sending them

00:51:43 --> 00:51:46
			here was setting a rule for us.

00:51:48 --> 00:51:50
			Which is to go by what we see.

00:51:52 --> 00:51:55
			We do not and we cannot know what is in the hearts of the people.

00:51:57 --> 00:52:08
			Only Allah knows. And only Allah can see what is in the hearts. So Rasul Allah, He sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam was telling us that Allah is the One Who knows whether he's a Muslim or not.

00:52:12 --> 00:52:16
			As for weed, and Muslims, what we saw is that you were fighting against us.

00:52:18 --> 00:52:23
			He was with the enemy. And so they looked at it from that perspective.

00:52:27 --> 00:52:31
			When rumor even tabula became Khalifa,

00:52:33 --> 00:52:34
			he said,

00:52:35 --> 00:52:43
			In the time of Rasulullah, sallAllahu, alayhi wasallam, the way he would come down, the revelation
would come down, and tell us what is in the hearts of men.

00:52:45 --> 00:52:50
			But now, we are going to make our judgments based on what we see.

00:52:51 --> 00:53:04
			If what appears from you is Islam, we will accept that. And if what appears from you is crucial, we
will assume that you are a disbeliever, a calf here, even if you claim that you are otherwise,

00:53:05 --> 00:53:13
			if your actions are those of a disbeliever, it does not benefit you to say that you are a Muslim, we
will call by your actions.

00:53:14 --> 00:53:24
			So this is a very important lesson. We should not judge based on what is in the hearts. We can only
judge people based on

00:53:25 --> 00:53:25
			what they do

00:53:27 --> 00:53:32
			their outward actions, and attitude.

00:53:33 --> 00:53:34
			But at the same time,

00:53:35 --> 00:53:43
			we don't allow people trying to fool us by claiming that they are something while their actions give
evidence of the opposite.

00:53:45 --> 00:53:46
			The fourth lesson that we learned

00:53:48 --> 00:53:52
			is that a Muslim should not be gullible or naive.

00:53:54 --> 00:53:56
			We see this in the case of

00:53:57 --> 00:54:03
			the prisoner who promised the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam not to ever fight against the
Muslims again,

00:54:04 --> 00:54:05
			in exchange for his freedom.

00:54:06 --> 00:54:07
			And so he ended up

00:54:08 --> 00:54:09
			coming again

00:54:10 --> 00:54:11
			in the Battle of

00:54:13 --> 00:54:15
			the prophets, Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:54:17 --> 00:54:21
			executed him right away. Why? Because he was not one

00:54:23 --> 00:54:27
			who would allow himself to be deceived, twice.

00:54:29 --> 00:54:33
			Yes, he was compassionate. He was tolerant

00:54:35 --> 00:54:38
			as we see later on, in the conquest of Mecca

00:54:41 --> 00:54:42
			when he conquers Mecca,

00:54:44 --> 00:54:48
			even though he could have slaughtered these leaders of courage,

00:54:49 --> 00:54:50
			but he allowed them to go free,

00:54:51 --> 00:54:53
			even after everything that they had done.

00:54:56 --> 00:54:59
			So although he was tolerant and compassionate

00:55:01 --> 00:55:06
			At the same time, he will not allow people to take advantage of these good qualities to harm
themselves.

00:55:08 --> 00:55:14
			So Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he says that a believer is not big twice from the same
hole.

00:55:18 --> 00:55:26
			So this is an important lesson for Muslims, that we should not be gullible. And we should not fall
prey to deceptive words.

00:55:29 --> 00:55:37
			But Muslims should be alert and know who is out there to benefit Islam and Muslims, and who is out
there to harm Islam and the Muslims.

00:55:40 --> 00:55:43
			And we could apply this in our situation today,

00:55:45 --> 00:55:51
			where you have politicians who promise us Muslims using their words.

00:55:54 --> 00:55:56
			And these politicians have a track record

00:55:58 --> 00:56:00
			of always going to the server.

00:56:03 --> 00:56:09
			And in the end, they always harm the Muslims, and the harm of Islam. And yet,

00:56:11 --> 00:56:15
			when the next election comes around the Muslims, again, they give them the vote.

00:56:17 --> 00:56:20
			And so we learned an important lesson here, that the Muslim

00:56:22 --> 00:56:35
			should always be on the alert, and know who is out there to truly benefit the Muslims and who is out
there to harm us. The fifth lesson that we learn is the double standards of the enemies of Islam.

00:56:36 --> 00:56:43
			Now, we previously mentioned how the enemies of Islam have different rules and laws when it comes to
the Muslims.

00:56:45 --> 00:56:53
			When the kuffaar deal with the Muslims, they deal with them with a double standard.

00:56:58 --> 00:57:01
			So we see this, in the case of Abu Sophia,

00:57:03 --> 00:57:07
			who violated the law of kurage concerning the treatment of pilgrims.

00:57:08 --> 00:57:10
			This was a red line that

00:57:11 --> 00:57:13
			you could never cross.

00:57:15 --> 00:57:16
			And yet he did it.

00:57:18 --> 00:57:20
			And no one said anything about it.

00:57:22 --> 00:57:23
			They didn't call him out for it.

00:57:27 --> 00:57:30
			And he would never have done that with anyone else.

00:57:33 --> 00:57:35
			With other non Muslims.

00:57:37 --> 00:57:38
			So likewise,

00:57:40 --> 00:57:53
			in this day and age are the enemies of Islam. They boast about freedom of religion. And they
implement these international laws concerning war crimes.

00:57:54 --> 00:57:58
			But when they violate these laws against Muslims,

00:58:02 --> 00:58:03
			they're silent.

00:58:05 --> 00:58:06
			And everyone allows it to happen.

00:58:10 --> 00:58:12
			You know, look at the history

00:58:13 --> 00:58:16
			of the state of Israel

00:58:17 --> 00:58:21
			and the Palestinians, and look at the war crimes committed by

00:58:23 --> 00:58:24
			the Zionist state of Israel

00:58:26 --> 00:58:32
			for decades, and yet they're able to get away with it without anyone calling them out for it.

00:58:34 --> 00:58:41
			What does it show us? The double standards? If it was anyone else, especially if it was Muslims
doing it,

00:58:42 --> 00:58:45
			then they would call them out? They would bring them to the international courts.

00:58:49 --> 00:58:52
			And so this is exactly what Abu Sufian did,

00:58:53 --> 00:58:55
			with all of Qureshi remaining silent.

00:58:58 --> 00:59:03
			The final lesson that we learned is the importance of education and literacy in Islam.

00:59:05 --> 00:59:12
			We see this in the case of the prisoners, who were used to teach the children to read and write.

00:59:13 --> 00:59:18
			So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi, wa salam use that and nothing else,

00:59:19 --> 00:59:21
			even though he was in need,

00:59:22 --> 00:59:23
			of finances.

00:59:25 --> 00:59:29
			He didn't force these people to go and find money.

00:59:30 --> 00:59:31
			But rather he took it

00:59:33 --> 00:59:37
			to something else. He gave them

00:59:38 --> 00:59:39
			an alternative.

00:59:42 --> 00:59:48
			And he specifically chose this alternative instead of anything else that he could have

00:59:49 --> 00:59:50
			to show us

00:59:51 --> 00:59:57
			to show us the importance of education and eradicating illiteracy.

00:59:59 --> 00:59:59
			It's all

01:00:00 --> 01:00:03
			Henderson Allahu alayhi wa sallam was the first one

01:00:06 --> 01:00:07
			whose mission was

01:00:09 --> 01:00:11
			to get rid of illiteracy.

01:00:12 --> 01:00:18
			Even if they want to try to make you believe that it was the West

01:00:20 --> 01:00:23
			and the modern Western world that

01:00:24 --> 01:00:26
			you know are the first to do this.

01:00:28 --> 01:00:31
			And there's no doubt that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam learned this from where,

01:00:32 --> 01:00:35
			from the very first words that he heard from Djibouti.

01:00:36 --> 01:00:37
			When Gibreel came, came and sat

01:00:38 --> 01:00:40
			with me, Robbie can lay the rock.

01:00:41 --> 01:00:47
			The very first command was read. So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salam, how could he ever forget
that?
