00:00:49 --> 00:00:53
			Last week we covered the

00:00:55 --> 00:00:57
			embracing of Islam

00:00:58 --> 00:00:59
			of

00:01:00 --> 00:01:05
			Hamza and Roma, Bob Radi Allahu Anhu ummah.

00:01:07 --> 00:01:10
			And we saw how it was a significant turning point

00:01:11 --> 00:01:13
			in the history of Islam,

00:01:14 --> 00:01:21
			and in particular, in the early makinde days of the power of the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam.

00:01:22 --> 00:01:36
			So we saw how this strengthened and empowered the Muslims who had until this time, been suffering
under the persecution of Quraysh.

00:01:38 --> 00:01:47
			such severe persecution that eventually led some of the Muslims forced them to migrate, as we saw
the first migration

00:01:49 --> 00:01:50
			in Islam to Alasania.

00:01:53 --> 00:01:54
			And

00:01:55 --> 00:01:57
			we had previously mentioned that

00:02:00 --> 00:02:03
			this persecution was one of the main tools

00:02:06 --> 00:02:08
			that Quraysh had in their hands

00:02:09 --> 00:02:13
			to subjugate the Muslims to

00:02:14 --> 00:02:17
			slow down the Dawa, and the spread of Islam.

00:02:20 --> 00:02:21
			But now that

00:02:22 --> 00:02:24
			Hamza and Omar

00:02:26 --> 00:02:30
			you know, two heavyweights, now that they had accepted Islam,

00:02:31 --> 00:02:35
			Courage could no longer use that tactic of theirs

00:02:36 --> 00:02:38
			as much, and we saw how,

00:02:40 --> 00:02:43
			you know, after they embrace Islam,

00:02:44 --> 00:02:50
			how Quraysh, their persecution of the Muslims became less and the Muslims came out, and were able to

00:02:53 --> 00:02:58
			openly practice Islam to a certain degree better than they had been able to before.

00:02:59 --> 00:03:04
			And so Quraysh now had to figure out they had to figure out some other method

00:03:05 --> 00:03:10
			after having exhausted all the previous methods that we mentioned.

00:03:12 --> 00:03:14
			And so this brings us to

00:03:17 --> 00:03:22
			the method that they used after the Islam of Hamza and Omar

00:03:24 --> 00:03:29
			and that was to enforce an all out boycott

00:03:31 --> 00:03:36
			and economic embargo on the Muslims.

00:03:39 --> 00:03:40
			So a bit hedger.

00:03:42 --> 00:03:45
			Rahima hello to Allah. He states

00:03:46 --> 00:03:51
			that when Quraysh saw that some of the believers had gone to live in a different land,

00:03:52 --> 00:04:04
			and were safe meaning in Alhambra in Abyssinia, and aroma had embraced Islam, they realized that
Islam was beginning to rapidly catch on.

00:04:05 --> 00:04:13
			They then decided that there would be no other solution other than to kill the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam.

00:04:17 --> 00:04:19
			And so this is what they had planned.

00:04:21 --> 00:04:22
			And

00:04:24 --> 00:04:25
			obviously,

00:04:27 --> 00:04:34
			the family of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, including some of the kuffaar from his
immediate family from Ben who Hashem

00:04:36 --> 00:04:37
			obviously, they were not going to let that happen.

00:04:41 --> 00:04:47
			And so they were not going to turn over the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam for Christ to lay
their hands on him to kill him.

00:04:50 --> 00:04:59
			And so when Abu Talib and we mentioned Abu Talib was the main support of the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wasallam when Abu Talib

00:05:00 --> 00:05:17
			heard of this? He gathered when Hashem as well as ben al Muttalib, these two branches of Quraysh. He
gathered them together. And he took them to the shear hub

00:05:20 --> 00:05:22
			which are the enclaves

00:05:25 --> 00:05:34
			in the mountains that belonged exclusively to Ben Hashem and Benwell mortality. So it was like
their, their neighborhood.

00:05:37 --> 00:05:41
			And so Abu Talib took them there and kept them safe over there.

00:05:46 --> 00:05:50
			And so, the result of this action by Abu Talib was

00:05:51 --> 00:06:07
			an agreement between the other branches of Quraysh an agreement to boycott bamboo Hashem, and bamboo
and Muttalib until they hand over Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:06:09 --> 00:06:16
			Now, then Hashem we know, that's the line that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam comes from,
how about, then? Well Muttalib

00:06:18 --> 00:06:21
			when we say Benwell Macaulay, we don't mean

00:06:22 --> 00:06:27
			Abdul Muttalib not the children of Abdullah because that comes under Ben who Hashem

00:06:30 --> 00:06:33
			then well, mortality are the children of an maponyane who has an mortality.

00:06:34 --> 00:06:35
			Now have dermatology.

00:06:37 --> 00:06:43
			We mentioned this previously, when we spoke about the life of Abdul Muttalib. How did he get that
name?

00:06:45 --> 00:06:46
			How did he get that name?

00:06:48 --> 00:06:48
			Because

00:06:49 --> 00:06:50
			when he was young,

00:06:52 --> 00:06:54
			when he was young, when Abdul Muttalib was young,

00:06:55 --> 00:06:58
			he happened to travel to Medina.

00:07:00 --> 00:07:10
			And his father passed away there. So many years later, one of his uncle's comes from Mecca to pick
him up and bring them back to Mecca.

00:07:11 --> 00:07:13
			And his uncle's name was an MK polyp.

00:07:15 --> 00:07:22
			His uncle's name was at mortality. So this is who we're referring to the children of our mortality.

00:07:23 --> 00:07:31
			So we have two branches of Kurdish, who are now boycotted by the rest of the tribe.

00:07:33 --> 00:07:39
			The embargo started in the month of Muharram, in the seventh year, after the prophet had began.

00:07:41 --> 00:07:55
			And the agreement was that no one would deal with than Hashem and Benu and Muttalib. No trade would
be conducted with them. No one can buy anything from them, no one could sell anything to them.

00:07:56 --> 00:07:58
			No one would marry them.

00:08:01 --> 00:08:01
			Or

00:08:03 --> 00:08:06
			no one would marry their children to them.

00:08:08 --> 00:08:11
			Until they handed over Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:08:13 --> 00:08:16
			And this embargo,

00:08:17 --> 00:08:28
			the document in which they recorded all of this their agreement, they took it, and they posted it
inside of the cab. They hung it inside of the cab.

00:08:31 --> 00:08:39
			So as we can see, it was both an economic embargo, economic sanctions,

00:08:40 --> 00:08:42
			as well as a social boycott.

00:08:44 --> 00:08:47
			No one can marry from them no family relations.

00:08:50 --> 00:08:54
			So it was an economic boycott, as well as a social boycott.

00:08:56 --> 00:08:57
			And

00:08:59 --> 00:09:00
			things became very severe.

00:09:02 --> 00:09:03
			The Muslims

00:09:05 --> 00:09:06
			they had

00:09:08 --> 00:09:13
			they had to live under very, very difficult circumstances.

00:09:17 --> 00:09:25
			It became so severe that one of the companions sad event viewer costs for the long run.

00:09:26 --> 00:09:31
			It's narrated, he says we were so hungry, that we would eat the leaves of the trees.

00:09:35 --> 00:09:39
			We were so hungry that we would go to the trees and take the leaves and eat those.

00:09:40 --> 00:09:42
			He's also reported to have said

00:09:44 --> 00:09:45
			that one night I became so hungry

00:09:48 --> 00:09:51
			and I stepped on something that was soft and moist.

00:09:54 --> 00:09:55
			So I took it and I put it in my mouth.

00:09:57 --> 00:09:57
			He says

00:09:59 --> 00:09:59
			until this very

00:10:00 --> 00:10:01
			They I don't know what it was.

00:10:05 --> 00:10:08
			And so they were suffering severely

00:10:10 --> 00:10:14
			out of hunger, because of this economic sanction.

00:10:16 --> 00:10:19
			And this embargo that was placed on them.

00:10:20 --> 00:10:33
			Now among Ben Hashim, and Ben Muttalib, who were under siege during this period, were not just the
Muslims, but also the non Muslims from these two families,

00:10:36 --> 00:10:37
			including Bhutan,

00:10:38 --> 00:10:39
			and others.

00:10:41 --> 00:10:49
			And so this embargo was against everyone in these two tribes, or these two families of Quraysh,
regardless of their religion.

00:10:51 --> 00:10:55
			And so they all went through a very hard time,

00:10:56 --> 00:11:01
			only because they refused to hand over Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:11:07 --> 00:11:12
			So even the non Muslims that had to suffer they suffered, because

00:11:13 --> 00:11:15
			of the principles that they stood by,

00:11:16 --> 00:11:25
			because of certain values that they had. And these values ran deep in their society, in that jaggedy
society. And that was tribalism,

00:11:26 --> 00:11:31
			that even if he is our opponent, even though we don't agree with him,

00:11:32 --> 00:11:33
			we're not going to hand them over to you.

00:11:35 --> 00:11:36
			We're going to stand by him

00:11:43 --> 00:11:45
			now there was an individual

00:11:47 --> 00:11:50
			by the name of his sham had been hammered, and Hashem

00:11:53 --> 00:11:58
			he was a relative of Ben Hashem from his maternal side.

00:12:03 --> 00:12:04
			He wasn't fully been who Hashem

00:12:06 --> 00:12:09
			but he was related to them. So he was not under

00:12:11 --> 00:12:17
			under the siege, and he was not part of he wasn't suffering from the embargo. He was free.

00:12:20 --> 00:12:21
			And

00:12:23 --> 00:12:27
			he was one of the most enthusiastic

00:12:29 --> 00:12:33
			of people in refusing the terms of the embargo.

00:12:38 --> 00:12:42
			And it is mentioned that he would load a Camela food.

00:12:44 --> 00:13:00
			And he will take it on top of the hill that overlooks the Enclave where the new Hashim and Benwell
Muttalib were hiding. And so he will take the camel full of food, and then he would hit it and let
it go.

00:13:02 --> 00:13:04
			Until it would go down the hill and end up

00:13:06 --> 00:13:06
			in the possession of

00:13:08 --> 00:13:08
			Russia.

00:13:09 --> 00:13:13
			And so he used to, he used to help them secretly like this.

00:13:15 --> 00:13:16
			One day.

00:13:18 --> 00:13:19
			This individual Hashem had been humbled.

00:13:21 --> 00:13:24
			He went to Zoo hate even at the Omega

00:13:27 --> 00:13:33
			zoo here, his mother was the paternal aunt of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:13:36 --> 00:13:38
			Aha tikka, didn't Abdulmutallab.

00:13:46 --> 00:13:47
			So he was

00:13:50 --> 00:13:54
			a cousin of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam from his mother's side

00:13:58 --> 00:14:01
			Hashem went to the hair. And he said to him,

00:14:02 --> 00:14:03
			does it please you

00:14:05 --> 00:14:06
			that you are eating well.

00:14:07 --> 00:14:11
			And dressing well, while your own uncle's?

00:14:13 --> 00:14:17
			Your acquire your own uncles are in the situation that they are in

00:14:18 --> 00:14:20
			referring to when Hashem

00:14:22 --> 00:14:24
			Hashem said on my part, I swear

00:14:25 --> 00:14:30
			that if these people were the uncles of Eboracum, who is

00:14:32 --> 00:14:32
			Abuja?

00:14:34 --> 00:14:40
			He said, I swear that if these people were the uncle's of Abu Abu Bakr, or Abuja, *,

00:14:41 --> 00:14:43
			then he would not have done the same thing.

00:14:46 --> 00:14:59
			Basically, Hashem was telling Zuhair that look, how can you accept to see your uncle's going through
what they're going through of suffering and misery, and you're doing nothing about it?

00:15:00 --> 00:15:07
			And yet the one who is calling us to do this Abuja *, he was the spearhead. He was always

00:15:09 --> 00:15:11
			he was always a spokesperson

00:15:12 --> 00:15:15
			for Quraysh

00:15:18 --> 00:15:21
			against the Prophet salallahu, alayhi wasallam against the Muslims.

00:15:22 --> 00:15:23
			He says,

00:15:24 --> 00:15:27
			How could you do this to your own uncle's when

00:15:29 --> 00:15:41
			Abuja * would not do the same if it was his own uncle's. And so Abu gehele doesn't come from.
He's not related to then Hashim norburn and Multilib. For him, it wasn't a big deal.

00:15:42 --> 00:15:49
			His direct relatives are not are not suffering. But if it was his own uncles, he wouldn't have let
that to happen.

00:15:52 --> 00:15:54
			And so he's saying, you know,

00:15:56 --> 00:15:58
			why should we go through this?

00:16:00 --> 00:16:02
			Why should we abide by these rules?

00:16:03 --> 00:16:09
			And so Hashem was basically talking about the double standards of Abuja.

00:16:12 --> 00:16:16
			The kind of double standards that even exists today.

00:16:18 --> 00:16:18
			You know, if

00:16:21 --> 00:16:23
			if the US was

00:16:24 --> 00:16:28
			to rally Muslim countries, and say boycott,

00:16:30 --> 00:16:31
			such and such Muslim country,

00:16:33 --> 00:16:33
			the Muslims will do it,

00:16:34 --> 00:16:37
			as they are doing today, for example,

00:16:39 --> 00:16:40
			to our brothers and sisters in the USA,

00:16:42 --> 00:16:43
			look at how they're under siege,

00:16:45 --> 00:16:49
			a complete economic embargo, and look at how they're suffering. Now.

00:16:51 --> 00:16:53
			They say that, you know,

00:16:54 --> 00:17:03
			the people of Gaza are evil, and this what they deserve, etc. And they did it before as well, the US
did it before to Iraq, under Saddam.

00:17:06 --> 00:17:10
			Now, if oppression happens from an ally of the US

00:17:15 --> 00:17:16
			let's say Israel, for example.

00:17:17 --> 00:17:19
			And people were to call for

00:17:20 --> 00:17:24
			an embargo against Israel. Would the US agree?

00:17:26 --> 00:17:32
			It's a yes, you know, they're, they're evil. They're doing oppression. Let's join in this embargo.
No, never.

00:17:34 --> 00:17:41
			Never the double standards. Likewise, Hashem is reminding you here of the double standards of Abuja.

00:17:43 --> 00:17:50
			That if it was his own uncle, he wouldn't do the same. So why do we have to abide by his rules?

00:17:51 --> 00:17:52
			And so

00:17:53 --> 00:17:54
			zoo here

00:17:55 --> 00:17:56
			he responded.

00:17:58 --> 00:18:01
			And he said, shame on you Hashem.

00:18:03 --> 00:18:04
			Who am I?

00:18:05 --> 00:18:06
			Except one man

00:18:08 --> 00:18:08
			what can I do?

00:18:10 --> 00:18:17
			He said in the name of God, if I had another person beside me I would go and I would tear down that
document

00:18:19 --> 00:18:20
			I would cancel it

00:18:21 --> 00:18:26
			it's okay sham said well, there is another person with you. You heard said Who?

00:18:28 --> 00:18:29
			He sham said me.

00:18:31 --> 00:18:34
			So here said then let us find a third person

00:18:37 --> 00:18:39
			it's all here sham he set off to find a third person.

00:18:42 --> 00:18:45
			And so he went to a motorhome event.

00:18:46 --> 00:18:48
			And he said, Oh, Moto.

00:18:49 --> 00:18:57
			Are you pleased to have two clans of Ben who have dumb enough to suffer? So abdomen F

00:19:00 --> 00:19:01
			includes Ben who Hashem and

00:19:03 --> 00:19:06
			then one Muttalib and what I'm happened to be from abdomen F.

00:19:08 --> 00:19:15
			So he said to him, Are you pleased to have two clients of men who have dumb enough to suffer while
you look on in agreement with Quraysh

00:19:17 --> 00:19:22
			by God, if you enable them to do this, then soon they will be treating you the same way.

00:19:26 --> 00:19:27
			So here

00:19:29 --> 00:19:34
			he Sham is reminding this third person or more time that if we set this precedent

00:19:36 --> 00:19:40
			then they'll continue today it's them tomorrow it will be you.

00:19:45 --> 00:19:48
			And so the point is injustice, we should not let it to happen.

00:19:49 --> 00:19:55
			Because one day if we let it to happen, then one day it will come and backfire on us.

00:19:57 --> 00:20:00
			It will come in backfire on us. And this is a very

00:20:00 --> 00:20:02
			A very important lesson for us Muslims to learn

00:20:03 --> 00:20:05
			that sometimes we become

00:20:06 --> 00:20:10
			so deeply involved in our own internal differences.

00:20:11 --> 00:20:14
			And we fight among one another, Muslims fighting one another.

00:20:17 --> 00:20:19
			And we forget our bigger enemy.

00:20:21 --> 00:20:26
			And so we become happy if our greater enemy is causing

00:20:27 --> 00:20:29
			some group of the Muslims to suffer.

00:20:31 --> 00:20:33
			Not realizing that today it's them.

00:20:34 --> 00:20:35
			And tomorrow it will be us.

00:20:41 --> 00:20:51
			So Hashem said, or a lot and he responded, he said, Well, what am I able to do? I am just one
person. Hashem said, there is another person with you.

00:20:53 --> 00:20:57
			And when he asked who it was, Hashem said, myself.

00:20:58 --> 00:21:07
			So one more time, he said, How about you find a third person? Hashem said, we already have a third
person, and that is Zuhair even every omega.

00:21:08 --> 00:21:13
			So then Elmo time, he wasn't satisfied with that. He said, Let us find a fourth person.

00:21:15 --> 00:21:16
			So he,

00:21:18 --> 00:21:21
			he went to find a fourth person.

00:21:24 --> 00:21:26
			Now what do we find Hashem doing? He's lobbying.

00:21:28 --> 00:21:29
			He's active.

00:21:31 --> 00:21:38
			He has a goal set. And he's not going to sit down until it is accomplished.

00:21:39 --> 00:21:44
			And he's doing it by law by lobbying, using his resources, doing what he can.

00:21:45 --> 00:21:47
			So he showed him he goes

00:21:48 --> 00:21:53
			to double booked every event even Hashem and he says to him the same thing.

00:21:54 --> 00:22:00
			And Ubuntu bhakti he says, We need more people. So Hashem says, we are now for

00:22:01 --> 00:22:04
			a Buddha bhakti He says, Go and find us a fifth

00:22:05 --> 00:22:11
			Hashem he went off, and he got a fifth person, and that was Zanna YBNL.

00:22:12 --> 00:22:22
			So, now, these five individuals, they meet, they come together they meet, and they devise a plan.

00:22:25 --> 00:22:25
			They said,

00:22:26 --> 00:22:28
			Let us go tomorrow morning.

00:22:30 --> 00:22:31
			Let us go

00:22:33 --> 00:22:34
			to destroy that document.

00:22:37 --> 00:22:42
			Let us go and meet Quraysh when they're having their assembly in the morning,

00:22:44 --> 00:22:45
			and let us

00:22:46 --> 00:22:55
			show our opposition to this agreement of theirs and this embargo that they have placed on the new
Hashem and

00:22:56 --> 00:22:57
			when mortality.

00:22:59 --> 00:23:03
			But they said let us do it in a very organized

00:23:05 --> 00:23:10
			and very planned way. Such that it does not seem that we had pre planned it.

00:23:13 --> 00:23:15
			And so, the next morning

00:23:16 --> 00:23:22
			was O'Hare in the Omega he goes, wearing a special gown

00:23:24 --> 00:23:28
			ceremonial clothing, and he goes and he makes to walk around the cab.

00:23:31 --> 00:23:32
			After finishing,

00:23:34 --> 00:23:46
			he goes to where Quraysh had assembled, you know, their their assembly where they meet in a network,
which was close to the cabinet.

00:23:48 --> 00:23:49
			And he went and stood

00:23:51 --> 00:23:52
			right above them. And he said,

00:23:53 --> 00:23:55
			oh people have Koresh.

00:23:56 --> 00:23:57
			Does it please you

00:23:58 --> 00:23:59
			that you eat well,

00:24:00 --> 00:24:02
			and you dress well.

00:24:03 --> 00:24:08
			While Ben Hashem and Ben Talib are going through such suffering and misery.

00:24:09 --> 00:24:16
			I swear in the name of God, I am not gonna take a seat unless that document is torn apart.

00:24:20 --> 00:24:22
			So Abuja hill gets up.

00:24:24 --> 00:24:28
			And he says, You are a liar. And it will never be torn apart.

00:24:32 --> 00:24:35
			So right away, a second person from the five gets up.

00:24:37 --> 00:24:43
			And he says, By God, you are the real liar. I never agreed to that document from the day it was
written.

00:24:45 --> 00:24:56
			Then the third one gets up the third of the five. He gets up and he says, I swear that I have
nothing to do with such a document. And I don't want to be part of such an agreement.

00:24:57 --> 00:24:59
			Then the fourth person stood up and

00:25:00 --> 00:25:08
			And he showed his opposition to the embargo. Finally Hashem Himself, He stood up and he spoke

00:25:09 --> 00:25:10
			showing his opposition.

00:25:12 --> 00:25:15
			And so these five they cause

00:25:16 --> 00:25:17
			ruckus now

00:25:19 --> 00:25:20
			and he sham

00:25:23 --> 00:25:25
			he got ready to go to the cabin

00:25:29 --> 00:25:31
			but before he did Abuja who stood up

00:25:33 --> 00:25:33
			and he said

00:25:34 --> 00:25:37
			that this is something that you planned at night.

00:25:39 --> 00:25:44
			We mentioned previously that Abu Jahan was a very intelligent person

00:25:45 --> 00:25:47
			obviously his intelligence did not lead him to Islam

00:25:51 --> 00:25:52
			and

00:25:53 --> 00:25:57
			you know, that's why shuffle Assam even tenure has a very famous statement

00:25:59 --> 00:26:00
			where he says that

00:26:04 --> 00:26:06
			the most unintelligent of people

00:26:08 --> 00:26:10
			the most unintelligent of people.

00:26:12 --> 00:26:17
			But with taqwa, you know, they're very simple people. They're not that intelligent, but they have
Taqwa.

00:26:19 --> 00:26:25
			Such a person is far better than the most intelligent of people who doesn't have any Taqwa.

00:26:27 --> 00:26:32
			And that's why the kuffar in when they are in the Hellfire

00:26:35 --> 00:26:36
			what will they admit

00:26:37 --> 00:26:39
			that they didn't really have any intelligence

00:26:42 --> 00:26:45
			that they did not really have any intelligence.

00:26:49 --> 00:26:54
			And then if they had intelligence, then they would not be where they are in the Hellfire today.

00:27:00 --> 00:27:04
			Anyways, the point is that Abuja Hill, he said, This is something that you had planned at night.

00:27:08 --> 00:27:14
			But now it was too late. Things had already gotten out of control. And more people joined in

00:27:16 --> 00:27:26
			to show their opposition to this embargo. And so a lot more time. In it, he goes into the cabin,

00:27:28 --> 00:27:29
			to grab that document.

00:27:30 --> 00:27:32
			But to his surprise,

00:27:34 --> 00:27:42
			when he sees it, he finds that the document had already been eaten up by termites,

00:27:43 --> 00:27:44
			the small insects

00:27:46 --> 00:27:49
			and it is mentioned in books of Syrah

00:27:50 --> 00:27:53
			that it was all torn up except for two words.

00:27:56 --> 00:27:57
			And they were Bismillah, whom

00:27:59 --> 00:28:01
			Miss McCullough whom that they wrote in the beginning of the document,

00:28:03 --> 00:28:06
			in the name of Allah, Miss McCullough.

00:28:09 --> 00:28:12
			And so this was a story of how

00:28:14 --> 00:28:15
			this unjust

00:28:16 --> 00:28:20
			economic sanction and social boycott

00:28:21 --> 00:28:23
			of the Muslims came to an end.

00:28:25 --> 00:28:29
			And it came to an end after two to three years.

00:28:30 --> 00:28:34
			This embargo lasted two to three years.

00:28:36 --> 00:28:39
			So what are the lessons that we learn

00:28:41 --> 00:28:46
			from this event in the Syrah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:28:49 --> 00:28:51
			The first lesson that we learned

00:28:54 --> 00:28:55
			is that

00:28:57 --> 00:28:58
			the enemies of Islam

00:28:59 --> 00:29:01
			have always used this weapon

00:29:02 --> 00:29:07
			in fighting the Muslims, and in particular, the two

00:29:09 --> 00:29:10
			who preach the truth.

00:29:14 --> 00:29:16
			And that is in order to silence them.

00:29:17 --> 00:29:18
			When they see

00:29:19 --> 00:29:21
			that Islam is spreading

00:29:22 --> 00:29:23
			like wildfire.

00:29:25 --> 00:29:33
			They have to try to put it to an end. And if it is individuals, they target they target their
finances.

00:29:34 --> 00:29:37
			They close down their bank accounts.

00:29:39 --> 00:29:41
			They put sanctions on them.

00:29:43 --> 00:29:45
			If it is society's countries,

00:29:46 --> 00:29:49
			they do the same economic sanctions.

00:29:50 --> 00:29:54
			And so this is because they know very well

00:29:55 --> 00:29:59
			that without funding without funding you cannot carry

00:30:00 --> 00:30:02
			On being influential

00:30:03 --> 00:30:04
			in spreading

00:30:06 --> 00:30:07
			and spreading the deen of Islam.

00:30:08 --> 00:30:09
			And so

00:30:11 --> 00:30:15
			this weapon is a very old weapon. If we see it being used today,

00:30:16 --> 00:30:18
			then we should realize it's nothing new.

00:30:19 --> 00:30:27
			It's nothing new. And we have seen in recent history, especially after 911, how,

00:30:28 --> 00:30:32
			how they have used this tool and this weapon

00:30:34 --> 00:30:34
			to target

00:30:36 --> 00:30:37
			to target the Dow

00:30:40 --> 00:30:42
			and how so many

00:30:43 --> 00:30:45
			successful Dow projects came to an end

00:30:48 --> 00:30:52
			because of this, labeling those people as being terrorists,

00:30:54 --> 00:30:58
			or sympathizing with terrorists, and so on and so forth.

00:30:59 --> 00:31:01
			The second lesson that we learn

00:31:04 --> 00:31:04
			is

00:31:06 --> 00:31:18
			to benefit from the values that non that non Muslims may have values and principles like that of
justice, that are upheld

00:31:20 --> 00:31:21
			by

00:31:22 --> 00:31:26
			by non Muslims. And so, here we saw how

00:31:30 --> 00:31:39
			they were individuals from kurush. They happen to be non Muslims, but they stood with the Muslims
because

00:31:41 --> 00:31:43
			because of this value that they had,

00:31:45 --> 00:31:48
			of justice, that we are going to uphold justice.

00:31:50 --> 00:31:55
			And so likewise, today, we Muslims, we need to utilize whatever we can

00:31:57 --> 00:32:02
			from these values that are upheld by the kuffar

00:32:03 --> 00:32:05
			and use it to our advantage.

00:32:06 --> 00:32:08
			And so if they value

00:32:10 --> 00:32:11
			human rights,

00:32:12 --> 00:32:26
			and freedom, according to their interpretation of human rights, and their interpretation of freedom,
fine. We don't agree with their interpretation of it, but we can utilize it

00:32:27 --> 00:32:31
			to our advantage. And so for example, we have Muslims who are suffering

00:32:32 --> 00:32:34
			in different parts of the world.

00:32:35 --> 00:32:47
			We need to get up and lobby those organizations that stand up for human rights and say, look, there
are Muslims who are suffering in China, for no other reason, then

00:32:48 --> 00:32:55
			their Deen that they decided to hold on to where is freedom of religion? Where are their human
rights?

00:32:56 --> 00:33:00
			The Muslims are suffering in Gaza in other parts of the world.

00:33:02 --> 00:33:06
			Where are their human rights, and so there are people out there

00:33:08 --> 00:33:09
			in this society,

00:33:10 --> 00:33:22
			who have these values. And so we should take advantage of that and approach her and even their
organizations and utilize them

00:33:23 --> 00:33:27
			to end the suffering of our Muslim brothers and sisters wherever they b&b.

00:33:28 --> 00:33:30
			As we see in the story,

00:33:31 --> 00:33:32
			and how it was,

00:33:33 --> 00:33:41
			it was non Muslims from Croatia who stood up and came to the aid and to bring an end to the
suffering that the Muslims were going through.

00:33:43 --> 00:33:44
			The third lesson that we learned

00:33:46 --> 00:33:49
			is the importance of working together in an organized fashion.

00:33:50 --> 00:33:54
			We saw in this event that five people made a difference.

00:33:56 --> 00:33:58
			And so the whole embargo

00:34:00 --> 00:34:05
			came to an end due to the efforts of only five people.

00:34:08 --> 00:34:09
			And it started with one person

00:34:11 --> 00:34:12
			one night,

00:34:13 --> 00:34:17
			he had an idea in his mind that he set out to implement it.

00:34:18 --> 00:34:22
			And he recruited a few people who were around him

00:34:23 --> 00:34:29
			finally bringing an end to this oppressive boycott. So what this shows us

00:34:30 --> 00:34:33
			is the value of working together in an organized

00:34:35 --> 00:34:36
			and United Way.

00:34:38 --> 00:34:43
			So this Dean, it needs, it needs men who will stand up

00:34:45 --> 00:34:46
			and will act

00:34:47 --> 00:34:48
			and

00:34:50 --> 00:34:52
			the first step needs to be taken by us.

00:34:53 --> 00:34:57
			The first step it needs to be taken by us. We can't

00:34:58 --> 00:34:59
			We can't expect

00:35:00 --> 00:35:06
			The situation of our own need to change overnight, or to change unless we do something about it.

00:35:11 --> 00:35:13
			Until no miracle is gonna happen

00:35:15 --> 00:35:19
			no supernatural force is going to come and settings are right.

00:35:21 --> 00:35:27
			We need to take the first step. And we need to go about it in an organized way.

00:35:28 --> 00:35:31
			You know, imagine these five individuals

00:35:32 --> 00:35:33
			decided

00:35:35 --> 00:35:35
			that you know what,

00:35:36 --> 00:35:38
			let's just go with the status quo.

00:35:41 --> 00:35:58
			They're suffering, okay, what can we do about it? No, there was one man he had to determination. He
was going to do something about it. And he got these other men involved. And they went about doing
things in an organized way.

00:35:59 --> 00:36:01
			The fourth lesson that we learned is

00:36:03 --> 00:36:06
			that oppression and injustice

00:36:08 --> 00:36:10
			eventually has an end to it.

00:36:14 --> 00:36:18
			It's not a matter of if it will end.

00:36:20 --> 00:36:22
			It may be a matter of when.

00:36:24 --> 00:36:27
			And so it's a matter of when and not if.

00:36:29 --> 00:36:33
			When will it end? Not if it will end or not.

00:36:36 --> 00:36:39
			So Allah subhanahu wa Tada says in clear words.

00:36:41 --> 00:36:45
			When at day seven, the law her law feed an amnio metal anymore.

00:36:47 --> 00:36:53
			Do not think that Allah is unaware of what the oppressors are doing.

00:36:54 --> 00:36:57
			When we see the oppression that Muslims are going through

00:36:58 --> 00:37:06
			and we see how it's prolonging and it's not coming to an end. Does it mean Allah is unaware? Nope.

00:37:07 --> 00:37:11
			Allah lot is fully aware, but Allah allows it to prolong

00:37:13 --> 00:37:15
			for reasons that he knows.

00:37:17 --> 00:37:23
			The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and the companions went through the suffering for two to
three years.

00:37:25 --> 00:37:27
			Eating off of leaves of dreams.

00:37:29 --> 00:37:31
			going hungry for nights?

00:37:32 --> 00:37:38
			Isn't the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam the most beloved of Allah's creation to him and the
Companions

00:37:40 --> 00:37:41
			was a lot of awareness.

00:37:43 --> 00:37:44
			But the point is,

00:37:46 --> 00:37:47
			the point is,

00:37:48 --> 00:37:52
			that Allah Subhana Allah to Allah, He wants to test us.

00:37:54 --> 00:37:58
			He wants to see will we remain patient or not?

00:37:59 --> 00:38:04
			And so when it comes to an end, it comes to an end in the lease have expected of ways,

00:38:05 --> 00:38:07
			in ways least expected.

00:38:09 --> 00:38:10
			As we saw here,

00:38:12 --> 00:38:20
			did any of the companions or the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam himself imagine that the that
the embargo would end in this way?

00:38:22 --> 00:38:23
			No.

00:38:24 --> 00:38:31
			Did anyone imagine from the Muslims? That it would be people of Quraysh who would come and step in
and do something about it? No.

00:38:34 --> 00:38:39
			So this should make us to stand firm and patiently through tough times and are given

00:38:42 --> 00:38:52
			Allah subhanho wa Taala reminds us of this. Um Huseby tomb. And third hole Janetta Well, Amaya

00:38:59 --> 00:39:07

00:39:11 --> 00:39:14
			that you will be admitted into Jannah

00:39:15 --> 00:39:18
			without being tested like those who came before you?

00:39:20 --> 00:39:34
			They were afflicted with suffering and adversity, and were so violently shaken, that even the
messenger and the believers with him they cried out, when will Allah's help? When will Allah's
victory come?

00:39:35 --> 00:39:40
			And then Allah says, Indeed, Allah is help. Allah's victory is ever near.

00:39:44 --> 00:39:47
			The fifth and the final lesson that we learn

00:39:49 --> 00:39:50
			is

00:39:53 --> 00:39:54
			from how

00:39:57 --> 00:40:00
			the document was destroyed.

00:40:00 --> 00:40:00
			Wait,

00:40:02 --> 00:40:05
			the miracle of the termites, eating up the document.

00:40:07 --> 00:40:11
			Allah subhanho wa Taala says, well, now here I am with Giroud Arabica, Allah who

00:40:12 --> 00:40:16
			no one knows of the soldiers of Allah except him.

00:40:18 --> 00:40:30
			Who would imagine that tiny insects, termites would be soldiers of Allah, destroying that oppressive
document.

00:40:31 --> 00:40:34
			Likewise, we have seen

00:40:36 --> 00:40:37
			from the Stories of the Prophets,

00:40:39 --> 00:40:40
			how small creatures

00:40:42 --> 00:40:43
			were the soldiers of Allah.

00:40:44 --> 00:40:48
			It was birds that destroyed the army of the elephant.

00:40:52 --> 00:40:54
			Water which is a source of life.

00:40:57 --> 00:40:59
			Allah used it as one of his soldiers,

00:41:01 --> 00:41:04
			destroying the people of New in that flood,

00:41:05 --> 00:41:11
			drowning Pharaoh Hound and his troops. Anything can be the soldier of Allah.

00:41:12 --> 00:41:14
			The point is that

00:41:16 --> 00:41:17
			the entire creation of Allah,

00:41:19 --> 00:41:27
			every creature is subservient to Allah is a servant and a slave of Allah. And when Allah calls upon
His creation,

00:41:28 --> 00:41:29
			and He mobilizes them,

00:41:31 --> 00:41:36
			they readily abide, and they act as his soldiers.

00:41:39 --> 00:41:40
			Now,

00:41:41 --> 00:41:44
			since we are on the topic of miracles,

00:41:46 --> 00:41:47
			we can

00:41:48 --> 00:41:52
			mention here two important events that happened in the Sierra.

00:41:54 --> 00:41:59
			That were, in fact, miracles of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:42:00 --> 00:42:03
			And both of these events occurred

00:42:04 --> 00:42:06
			around this time,

00:42:07 --> 00:42:08
			you in this era,

00:42:09 --> 00:42:11
			so between the seventh

00:42:12 --> 00:42:22
			and the 10th, year of the prophethood. Because the embargo took place in this time, from the seventh
to the 10th year,

00:42:23 --> 00:42:25
			the Islam of

00:42:26 --> 00:42:28
			Hamza, and Rama was prior to this.

00:42:29 --> 00:42:40
			The Hijra to Abyssinia was prior to this in the fifth year. So now we are in approximately the
seventh to the 10th year of the prophet hood.

00:42:41 --> 00:42:44
			And so before moving on to the events of the 10th year,

00:42:45 --> 00:42:54
			which we're going to come to next week in sha Allah, the events of the 10th year Before moving on,
we can mention two very important incidents,

00:42:56 --> 00:43:00
			both of which were miracles of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:43:01 --> 00:43:03
			And so the first of these miracles

00:43:04 --> 00:43:07
			was the splitting of the moon,

00:43:09 --> 00:43:11
			the splitting of the moon

00:43:13 --> 00:43:20
			and so the people of Quraysh were always asking the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam for assign
an area

00:43:21 --> 00:43:36
			a miracle. And we spoke about this before. And we mentioned how them demanding such miracles did not
mean that they were seeking the truth and seeking to actually embrace Islam.

00:43:39 --> 00:43:41
			But rather it was just their arrogance.

00:43:44 --> 00:43:46
			As if the Quran itself was not sufficient.

00:43:48 --> 00:43:52
			The Quran itself was the greatest miracle that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam came with

00:43:54 --> 00:44:00
			putting an end to their competitions that they used to have in poetry.

00:44:03 --> 00:44:09
			The Quran itself was a miracle. It was the best miracle that the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam
brought

00:44:11 --> 00:44:11
			anyways,

00:44:13 --> 00:44:17
			Allah subhanahu Attallah decided to give them a miracle.

00:44:19 --> 00:44:20
			And so

00:44:21 --> 00:44:30
			Gibreel came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and said, if they are asking for a sign for
a miracle, then we will split the moon for them.

00:44:32 --> 00:44:41
			And so Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam called the kuffaar and the machete cone and said, the
moon will be split into two halves.

00:44:42 --> 00:44:55
			And so they gathered at night and right before their eyes, they saw the moon split into two into two
halves and then it was rejoined, came back together.

00:44:58 --> 00:44:59
			And so this is it.

00:45:00 --> 00:45:01
			A very unique miracle.

00:45:03 --> 00:45:07
			And it is an event that is firmly established.

00:45:09 --> 00:45:15
			It's mentioned in Bihari, in Muslim, there's no doubt that this event occurred.

00:45:18 --> 00:45:21
			In fact, Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions in the Quran

00:45:23 --> 00:45:25
			and Sunnah to cover the moon.

00:45:27 --> 00:45:34
			Allah subhanho wa Taala says right in the beginning of the surah Katara that is sir to one shot
called Kumar,

00:45:35 --> 00:45:42
			the Hour has drawn near, the day of judgment has come near, and the moon has split into two.

00:45:44 --> 00:45:50
			So, the splitting of the moon, we can include it as one of the signs of the Day of Judgment.

00:45:52 --> 00:46:00
			And then Allah subhanahu Attallah says, we're in euro area 10 Euro real do ya are cool to see
rooster

00:46:02 --> 00:46:04
			yet, whenever they see a sign, and if

00:46:06 --> 00:46:09
			so, after they saw the moon splitting into two,

00:46:10 --> 00:46:16
			they left and they said, Allah says whenever they see a sign, they turn away

00:46:17 --> 00:46:20
			saying this is the same old magic.

00:46:22 --> 00:46:29
			This is the same old magic. So they accused the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam of performing
magic

00:46:33 --> 00:46:35
			but it was not an optical illusion.

00:46:37 --> 00:46:38
			It really did happen.

00:46:42 --> 00:46:44
			And so the moon did split into two.

00:46:46 --> 00:46:47
			However

00:46:50 --> 00:46:56
			critics, they may criticize and cast doubt on this particular event.

00:46:57 --> 00:47:00
			And so for example, they may say,

00:47:02 --> 00:47:05
			How come other people in other parts of the world do not see?

00:47:07 --> 00:47:14
			Or why don't we have such an important event documented recorded.

00:47:17 --> 00:47:18
			And so to respond to this,

00:47:20 --> 00:47:21
			we can say firstly,

00:47:24 --> 00:47:27
			the world is in different time zones.

00:47:28 --> 00:47:33
			Half of the world at that time, it was daytime for them right?

00:47:35 --> 00:47:44
			In Mecca, it was nighttime, then for half of the world it was it was daytime. So how could How could
they see it.

00:47:45 --> 00:47:48
			So now we can rule out half of the world.

00:47:50 --> 00:47:56
			Within the other half of the world, it was probably very late at night that people were sleeping.

00:47:57 --> 00:47:58
			So many people did not see it.

00:48:01 --> 00:48:01
			Second,

00:48:03 --> 00:48:06
			it could be that the moon

00:48:08 --> 00:48:12
			was not apparent to the people in that time zone.

00:48:14 --> 00:48:15
			So in other parts of the world

00:48:17 --> 00:48:18
			at that time,

00:48:20 --> 00:48:23
			perhaps because of the weather, they weren't able to see the one.

00:48:24 --> 00:48:27
			So now we have eliminated

00:48:28 --> 00:48:33
			many other parts of the world. So now we have most of the world. We've ruled out

00:48:35 --> 00:48:37
			them having seen this miracle.

00:48:38 --> 00:48:38
			Thirdly,

00:48:40 --> 00:48:45
			in the remaining part where it was possible, the moon was visible.

00:48:46 --> 00:48:50
			It was possible for the people to have seen it. We can say

00:48:51 --> 00:48:55
			how many people actually go about looking up at the sky and looking up at the moon.

00:48:57 --> 00:48:58
			Most people don't do that.

00:49:01 --> 00:49:04
			People tend to ignore the sky above them

00:49:05 --> 00:49:07
			unless they're lying down and they're looking above.

00:49:09 --> 00:49:17
			So when it was split, it is possible that they didn't see it because they simply were not paying
attention to it.

00:49:18 --> 00:49:23
			And remember that this miracle didn't last for that long.

00:49:25 --> 00:49:29
			It was perhaps for a few seconds, maybe a minute at the most.

00:49:31 --> 00:49:32
			Fourthly,

00:49:33 --> 00:49:34
			in those days,

00:49:36 --> 00:49:38
			documentation was very weak.

00:49:39 --> 00:49:41
			Many events

00:49:42 --> 00:49:43
			have occurred in history

00:49:45 --> 00:49:46
			in the past,

00:49:47 --> 00:49:51
			without people bothering to record it to write it down.

00:49:52 --> 00:50:00
			You know, it's a new phenomenon. In this day and age where we record everything every event is
record

00:50:00 --> 00:50:02
			worded and it's now put on the internet, etc.

00:50:03 --> 00:50:05
			You know, even a small event,

00:50:06 --> 00:50:09
			if you were to search it, you'll find information about it. But in those days

00:50:14 --> 00:50:19
			first of all, the majority of people were illiterate, not everyone knew how to read or write.

00:50:23 --> 00:50:26
			And so those who could actually have recorded it were few.

00:50:28 --> 00:50:30
			But even those few, maybe they didn't see it, or,

00:50:32 --> 00:50:35
			or they didn't bother to record it.

00:50:38 --> 00:50:44
			So now, there remains the possibility that some people did see it, and they did record it.

00:50:46 --> 00:50:48
			And there is evidence of that.

00:50:49 --> 00:50:53
			We actually do have evidence of that. And so

00:50:56 --> 00:50:57
			even cathedra actually mentions

00:50:58 --> 00:50:59
			that

00:51:02 --> 00:51:05
			it has been recorded in India and in China.

00:51:07 --> 00:51:10
			And so they say that, in China, there are some old writings,

00:51:12 --> 00:51:15
			where they say that a certain event happened

00:51:16 --> 00:51:18
			on the year that the moon was split.

00:51:19 --> 00:51:21
			So they use it as reference

00:51:22 --> 00:51:23
			to document history.

00:51:24 --> 00:51:26
			Also, it is mentioned

00:51:27 --> 00:51:30
			that there was a king in Southern India,

00:51:32 --> 00:51:35
			in the state of Madiba, who saw it.

00:51:37 --> 00:51:45
			And he recorded it, and there is a document, it's in one of the museum's where this is mentioned.

00:51:47 --> 00:51:48
			Finally,

00:51:49 --> 00:51:51
			it is mentioned by some astronomers

00:51:53 --> 00:51:58
			that there appears to be a long divide a line

00:52:00 --> 00:52:02
			that goes around the moon.

00:52:07 --> 00:52:09
			And so it is possible

00:52:10 --> 00:52:15
			that this indicates that the moon was split and then joined back together.

00:52:18 --> 00:52:22
			And this line, if you were to look at different images of the moon, you could see it.

00:52:25 --> 00:52:27
			But nonetheless, we don't rely on this.

00:52:29 --> 00:52:30
			Because it could turn out

00:52:31 --> 00:52:33
			that they discover that this is something else.

00:52:35 --> 00:52:46
			And it's not really a line going around the entire moon for example. The point is that this
information needs to be verified before we actually use it. The point is that

00:52:48 --> 00:52:55
			the other points are sufficient. The points that we have mentioned are sufficient to refute anyone
who tries to object

00:52:56 --> 00:53:06
			to this miracle that did indeed happen. The splitting of the moon, we come now to the second
miracle.

00:53:08 --> 00:53:08
			And that is

00:53:10 --> 00:53:11
			the victory

00:53:12 --> 00:53:15
			of the Romans, the victory of the Romans.

00:53:19 --> 00:53:20
			Throughout history,

00:53:21 --> 00:53:31
			even before the coming of the Prophet salAllahu alayhi wasallam. There used to be continuous rivalry
between two superpowers of the world.

00:53:32 --> 00:53:36
			The Romans, or the Byzantines

00:53:37 --> 00:53:41
			and the Persians. They always used to fight against each other.

00:53:43 --> 00:53:44
			And so

00:53:45 --> 00:53:50
			the Persian Empire, it included parts of Iran, Iraq,

00:53:51 --> 00:53:52
			Afghanistan.

00:53:54 --> 00:53:58
			As for the Byzantine Empire, the Roman Empire.

00:54:00 --> 00:54:02
			It included Turkey,

00:54:04 --> 00:54:07
			parts of Eastern Europe, Greece, the Balkans,

00:54:09 --> 00:54:11
			Azerbaijan, Armenia, etc.

00:54:13 --> 00:54:15
			Now in one critical battle

00:54:16 --> 00:54:19
			between these two empires,

00:54:20 --> 00:54:23
			the Persians had defeated the Romans.

00:54:25 --> 00:54:28
			The Persians had defeated the Romans.

00:54:30 --> 00:54:31
			This happened

00:54:32 --> 00:54:40
			in the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam around this time between the seventh and the
10th year of prophethood.

00:54:41 --> 00:54:43
			So news reached Mecca

00:54:44 --> 00:54:51
			and the machete cone of Quraysh we're extremely happy to hear this news. While the Muslims were sad.

00:54:52 --> 00:54:53
			Why?

00:54:56 --> 00:54:59
			What does this have to do with the Muslims and the machico?

00:55:04 --> 00:55:06
			Because at that time

00:55:08 --> 00:55:18
			it was either worshiper and Rome was Christian. So most of them disappointed like the closer
religion. Yeah. So that was really cool and they felt more closer to the Persians.

00:55:20 --> 00:55:23
			Because the Persians used to worship fire, they were pagans.

00:55:26 --> 00:55:39
			Whereas the Romans were Christians, they were added to keytab. And obviously, Al Kitab are closer to
the Muslims, then pagans, then fire worshippers.

00:55:40 --> 00:55:40
			Anyhow.

00:55:42 --> 00:55:44
			The moose raccoon, were going around rejoicing

00:55:46 --> 00:55:51
			and they were saying to the Muslims, that just like the Persians,

00:55:52 --> 00:55:57
			just like the Persians have defeated the Romans, we too will defeat you.

00:55:58 --> 00:55:59
			Your time is coming as well.

00:56:02 --> 00:56:03
			And

00:56:06 --> 00:56:09
			that victory was very defeated, decisive

00:56:10 --> 00:56:15
			for the Persians, because after that, they were they were gaining

00:56:17 --> 00:56:26
			and they were winning victory after victory. It seemed inevitable that they would bring the Roman
Empire to its feet and bring it down.

00:56:27 --> 00:56:31
			And that's why the mushy, cool rejoicing, they were saying finally,

00:56:33 --> 00:56:40
			the Persians are going to completely destroy the Romans. And we to tomorrow, one day, we will also
defeat you.

00:56:42 --> 00:56:45
			And so this is when Allah subhanho wa Taala revealed Surah Toro

00:56:48 --> 00:56:52
			Alif Lam Meem gudi better rule

00:56:53 --> 00:56:58
			fi original Otto Bucha whom in the ideal hollaby him say elderly Boon

00:57:00 --> 00:57:02
			fee bill Grace eenie

00:57:04 --> 00:57:06
			Allah subhanho wa Taala says Elif la mean

00:57:08 --> 00:57:10
			the Romans have been defeated

00:57:12 --> 00:57:17
			in the nearest land, referring to the Middle East, this is where the battle took place

00:57:20 --> 00:57:22
			around Syria around Dinesh

00:57:24 --> 00:57:29
			fie adding a lot of in the nearest land, but they after their defeat,

00:57:31 --> 00:57:42
			after the Romans defeat here, they will overcome and they will be victorious. Allah says soon they
will be victorious fie builder. So you need when,

00:57:43 --> 00:57:50
			in a few years build see mean means three to nine years.

00:57:52 --> 00:58:03
			Within three to nine years, the Romans will defeat the Persians. And then Allah subhanho wa Taala
says, Why you will not be the fool me mula Dino's Rila.

00:58:05 --> 00:58:07
			He also Romania shabu Allah Aziz or Rahim.

00:58:09 --> 00:58:10
			And on that day,

00:58:12 --> 00:58:24
			on that day, the Muslims, the believers will rejoice over the victory of Allah. He gives victory to
whomever he wills and He is the Exalted in Might, the Most Merciful.

00:58:26 --> 00:58:26
			And so here,

00:58:28 --> 00:58:30
			Allah subhanahu wa Tada promised

00:58:31 --> 00:58:36
			that the Romans will win within 10 years.

00:58:38 --> 00:58:41
			And so, Abubakar robiola, who,

00:58:42 --> 00:58:44
			when he learned of these ayat,

00:58:46 --> 00:58:47
			he went to Abuja,

00:58:49 --> 00:58:50
			and he said,

00:58:52 --> 00:58:53
			I want to bet with you

00:58:56 --> 00:58:58
			that the Romans will eventually win.

00:59:03 --> 00:59:05
			So Abuja Hill said, Give me a timeframe.

00:59:07 --> 00:59:09
			So Abu Bakr said, less than 10 years

00:59:11 --> 00:59:17
			and so they had a bid on 100 camels, because Elijah Hill was certainly, I mean, look.

00:59:20 --> 00:59:29
			The Persians are, you know, they're completely crushing the Romans. It wasn't just that victory, but
successive victories after that.

00:59:31 --> 00:59:35
			He was certain that no, it's impossible that the Romans can pick up

00:59:36 --> 00:59:37
			and come back.

00:59:40 --> 00:59:43
			And so they had this bet. Obviously, this is before

00:59:44 --> 00:59:47
			this is before betting became haram.

00:59:49 --> 00:59:54
			Bearing along with drinking alcohol, etc. Allah subhanho wa Taala revealed

00:59:55 --> 00:59:59
			the prohibition of that in the years of Medina

01:00:00 --> 01:00:05
			So, Abu Bakr Radi Allahu Han was obviously willing to bet on anything why?

01:00:07 --> 01:00:09
			Because of his email.

01:00:11 --> 01:00:14
			He believed with certainty in the words of Allah.

01:00:16 --> 01:00:18
			And what does Allah say right after these ayat

01:00:19 --> 01:00:20
			word Allah,

01:00:22 --> 01:00:23
			the Promise of Allah.

01:00:24 --> 01:00:28
			Lay your holy for Allah who idea who well our kin axon se la Allah.

01:00:30 --> 01:00:36
			And Allah does not go back on his promise. He fulfills His promise but most people they don't know.

01:00:39 --> 01:00:40
			But here

01:00:43 --> 01:00:44
			is a question

01:00:48 --> 01:00:51
			what do we understand from these words of Allah?

01:00:53 --> 01:00:57
			While Yo Ma EV a full moon Munna be Nasri Allah.

01:00:59 --> 01:01:03
			And on that day, the believers will rejoice at the victory of Allah.

01:01:04 --> 01:01:07
			What do we understand from this, what victory is being referred to here?

01:01:11 --> 01:01:15
			In the context of these ayat, What victory is being referred to here?

01:01:24 --> 01:01:27
			Okay, but don't you said, anyone else.

01:01:29 --> 01:01:33
			Allah says in a few years, the Romans will be victorious.

01:01:34 --> 01:01:39
			And then Allah says, On that day, the believers will be will rejoice will be happy.

01:01:41 --> 01:01:52
			So is this referring to the Roman, the Romans defeating the Persians? That's what comes to our mind
right? Based on what Allah is saying here.

01:01:56 --> 01:01:57
			These verses were revealed,

01:01:59 --> 01:02:01
			as I said, around the seventh or the eighth year.

01:02:03 --> 01:02:05
			Now let us fast forward

01:02:06 --> 01:02:07
			eight years.

01:02:09 --> 01:02:11
			We come to the second year of the Hijra.

01:02:14 --> 01:02:21
			And eight years have passed by and the Romans now have defeated the Persians.

01:02:23 --> 01:02:25
			The Promise of Allah has been fulfilled.

01:02:27 --> 01:02:30
			In a few years, the Romans will defeat the Persians. Yes, it happened.

01:02:31 --> 01:02:33
			And the news now reaches the Muslims.

01:02:35 --> 01:02:35
			But

01:02:37 --> 01:02:51
			did they rejoice over that victory of the Romans? No. Why? Because on that same day, the Muslims had
defeated the machinery cool on the day of battle.

01:02:54 --> 01:02:55
			So yes, they were rejoicing.

01:02:57 --> 01:02:59
			But over the victory of Allah, Allah gave to them.

01:03:01 --> 01:03:11
			Over the victory of Allah, Allah, Allah subhanho wa Taala gave to them. And so they received the
news of this day, and the victory

01:03:13 --> 01:03:19
			of Al better overshadowed everything else. So that was indeed

01:03:20 --> 01:03:26
			something to rejoice over. This is what most of the scholars of Tafseer mentioned,

01:03:27 --> 01:03:44
			regarding these words of Allah, or Yeoman Vineya, for a whole mean would have been Australia and on
that day, the believers will rejoice over the victory of Allah. Now, the mutually cool news to say
that they will defeat the Muslims like the Persians defeated the Romans.

01:03:46 --> 01:03:48
			But what ended up happening?

01:03:53 --> 01:04:05
			Didn't the mushy Kuhn in Makkah Didn't they say, when they heard the news of the Persians defeating
the Romans didn't they say, today the Persians have won, and we too, will defeat you or Muslims.

01:04:06 --> 01:04:08
			But what ended up happening on that day, eight years later,

01:04:09 --> 01:04:19
			the exact opposite. And so, the Romans one, and the Muslims also, they won, and they defeated, they
defeated the machinery cool.

01:04:20 --> 01:04:33
			And what a defeat is was and what a victory it was for the Muslims as we will come to Inshallah, to
Allah, when we come to that stage of the spirit of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

01:04:34 --> 01:04:36
			And so with that we come to the end of

01:04:37 --> 01:04:43
			tonight's session in sha Allah hooter. And next week, we'll move on to the events, very important
events

01:04:44 --> 01:04:45
			that took place

01:04:46 --> 01:04:49
			after this in the 10th year of the prophethood.

01:04:51 --> 01:04:59
			events that were so important that it was given its own title that year was given its own name. And
so we will

01:05:00 --> 01:05:15
			Come to that next week in sha Allah with data Subhanak Allahumma behenic Allah either learn to steal
