The Prophet sallavi alayhi wa sallam is the all-important word for Islam, and the Prophet's teachings are the same as the Prophet sallim. The Prophet's teachings relate to the century before them, and the history of his teachings is discussed, including his actions and actions of mouth. The importance of verifying his authenticity and being illiterated is emphasized, as well as the history of his desire for women and wealth and his declining offers of leadership. The segment also discusses the history of Islam, including the transmission of messages and the preservation of its language.

00:00:43 --> 00:00:45
			Bismillah al Rahman al Rahim

00:00:46 --> 00:00:48
			al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil alameen

00:00:49 --> 00:00:53
			wa salatu salam ala milania Allah, Allah He

00:00:54 --> 00:00:57
			while early he was Sofie woman, we heard you

00:00:58 --> 00:01:00
			were standing up soon at

00:01:01 --> 00:01:05
			about a Salaam Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

00:01:12 --> 00:01:17
			After we looked at the concept of prophethood, last week, we covered

00:01:19 --> 00:01:21
			the concept of prophethood.

00:01:22 --> 00:01:23
			And how

00:01:26 --> 00:01:28
			not only is

00:01:29 --> 00:01:32
			Prophethood something possible, logically,

00:01:33 --> 00:01:36
			but also something necessary.

00:01:38 --> 00:01:39
			Because

00:01:41 --> 00:01:47
			for many reasons that we mentioned, but among the most important reasons, that basically

00:01:49 --> 00:01:50
			that basically

00:01:52 --> 00:02:08
			it's illogical to believe that Allah subhanho wa Taala, being the All Merciful to all wise all just
for him to create us, and then just to leave us to wander in confusion without sending a guide to
us.

00:02:09 --> 00:02:26
			And so it was necessary, it is logically necessary that Allah subhanho wa Taala sends a prophet, and
this is what we spoke about. And then after that, we looked at the various evidences proving the
prophethood of our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:02:27 --> 00:02:42
			showing that indeed he was a true prophet, and messenger sent by Allah subhana wa tada and that he
was not an imposter or a liar, or a false prophet.

00:02:44 --> 00:02:45
			So after that,

00:02:47 --> 00:02:50
			we now come to look at the Revolution,

00:02:52 --> 00:02:55
			the revolution that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam brought

00:02:57 --> 00:02:58
			and how

00:03:00 --> 00:03:04
			this revolution the Quran basically, is not

00:03:05 --> 00:03:06
			something

00:03:08 --> 00:03:10
			that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam

00:03:11 --> 00:03:12
			brought from himself

00:03:16 --> 00:03:26
			and all the evidences that we use in the last class, to prove the truth of the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wasallam

00:03:27 --> 00:03:33
			all of those evidences can be used to prove that the Quran is the word of Allah subhana wa tada

00:03:34 --> 00:03:46
			because the two go hand in hand, if the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was indeed a true
prophet, and we've proven that, therefore his claim that this Quran is from Allah subhanho wa Taala

00:03:48 --> 00:03:51
			is a true claim based on those evidences, but we're going to look at

00:03:53 --> 00:04:03
			additional evidences evidences that are related to the Quran itself, proving that it could not be
from the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam himself.

00:04:04 --> 00:04:13
			But before starting, we need to understand what exactly do we mean by the Quran being from Allah
subhanahu wa tada

00:04:16 --> 00:04:18
			because that's what we're discussing in this class.

00:04:19 --> 00:04:22
			proofs that prove that the Quran is from Allah.

00:04:23 --> 00:04:24
			So what do we mean

00:04:26 --> 00:04:30
			by our statement that the Quran is from Allah subhana wa Tada.

00:04:32 --> 00:04:38
			Basically the scholars they define the Quran as being the words of Allah subhanho wa Taala.

00:04:40 --> 00:04:54
			The words of Allah subhanho wa Taala every single word, in fact, every single letter of the Quran is
the literal spoken words of Allah subhanho wa Taala.

00:04:55 --> 00:04:59
			So basically, Allah subhanho wa Taala spoke these words

00:05:00 --> 00:05:01
			He spoke them

00:05:02 --> 00:05:07
			and they were heard by jabril arias Salaam,

00:05:08 --> 00:05:09
			directly.

00:05:10 --> 00:05:12
			And gibreel Allah has Salam

00:05:13 --> 00:05:20
			brought these words as he heard to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam starting

00:05:21 --> 00:05:33
			from the day in which he received the first revelation. And that was, you cannot miss Mirabella the
HELOC in the cave of Hira at the age of 40.

00:05:36 --> 00:05:37
			And so,

00:05:38 --> 00:05:53
			when we say that Allah Subhana who would Tyler is the author of the Quran, when we say that Allah
subhana wa tada is the author of the Quran, or when we say that Allah subhanahu wa tada sent down
the Quran.

00:05:54 --> 00:05:55
			It doesn't mean

00:05:57 --> 00:05:58
			a physical book.

00:06:00 --> 00:06:03
			Yes, throughout the Quran, Allah refers

00:06:04 --> 00:06:05
			to it as a book.

00:06:07 --> 00:06:19
			But it's not something that was brought as a book, with pages with binding. That's not how it was
set to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, in fact, the Quran

00:06:20 --> 00:06:22
			the written Qur'an that we have today

00:06:24 --> 00:06:27
			was not something that was there in the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam.

00:06:29 --> 00:06:57
			And so we have to understand this first, that when we say the Quran, is from Allah, we don't mean a
physical book, the physical book that we have in our hands, but rather what we mean is the spoken
words of Allah subhanho wa Taala, that were memorized word for word letter, for letter by our
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, who then pass them on, passed on these words,

00:06:58 --> 00:07:05
			to his companions, and they heard these words, and the prophets of Salaam taught them these words,

00:07:06 --> 00:07:07
			time and time again,

00:07:09 --> 00:07:14
			until they have properly memorize it. And then they also pass it on

00:07:15 --> 00:07:19
			to the next generation, and so on and so forth until the time of its model the time

00:07:20 --> 00:07:25
			when he compiled it in one book.

00:07:28 --> 00:07:35
			Now, when we look at all the possibilities of the origin of the Quran,

00:07:37 --> 00:07:41
			when we look at all the possibilities of the origin of the Quran,

00:07:42 --> 00:07:45
			we can narrow them down to three possibilities,

00:07:47 --> 00:07:50
			we can narrow them down to three possibilities.

00:07:52 --> 00:07:53
			The first is

00:07:55 --> 00:07:58
			that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam himself author the Quran.

00:07:59 --> 00:08:01
			So it was from himself.

00:08:03 --> 00:08:06
			The second possibility is that

00:08:07 --> 00:08:09
			some other human being authored

00:08:12 --> 00:08:20
			some other human being authored it, or the process, took it from took that information from, from
other people.

00:08:22 --> 00:08:24
			And the third and final possibility is

00:08:26 --> 00:08:27
			that

00:08:29 --> 00:08:33
			these are not the words of any human being not the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam nor anyone
else.

00:08:35 --> 00:08:39
			Therefore, they have to be the words of Allah subhanho wa Taala.

00:08:40 --> 00:08:45
			And so when we look at the proofs for the Quranic authenticity,

00:08:49 --> 00:08:53
			what we do is, we look at these possibilities.

00:08:54 --> 00:08:59
			And we minus each one out, basically through a process of elimination.

00:09:01 --> 00:09:08
			And then we arrive at the conclusion that these words that this person has to be from Allah subhana
wa Tada.

00:09:09 --> 00:09:14
			And so we'll look at could the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam have altered it on him on his own?

00:09:15 --> 00:09:19
			And then we look at Could he have copied it from others?

00:09:20 --> 00:09:24
			Or did he get it from others? And then,

00:09:25 --> 00:09:32
			once we've established that none of that is possible, then we look at those evidences that prove
that

00:09:34 --> 00:09:45
			these can't be the word of any human being. So it's twofold. When you look at the evidences for the
authenticity of the Quran. First we we basically

00:09:46 --> 00:09:48
			look at the claims or the possibilities

00:09:50 --> 00:09:52
			and we minus all these possibilities.

00:09:55 --> 00:09:57
			And the natural conclusion therefore is that

00:09:58 --> 00:10:00
			the Quran is the word of Allah, but then

00:10:00 --> 00:10:20
			In addition to that, in addition to that, we have other evidences that show that the Quran is indeed
from Allah subhana wa. So let's go through these proofs for the authenticity of the Quran or for the
Quran being from Allah subhanho wa Taala.

00:10:23 --> 00:10:36
			The first proof is something that we touched on in the previous class, when we looked at the proofs
for prophet muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam being a true prophet from Allah.

00:10:37 --> 00:10:44
			He's claimed that he is a prophet and a messenger from Allah. One of the most important evidences
for that claim is

00:10:45 --> 00:10:50
			by looking at his personality, and his character.

00:10:51 --> 00:11:04
			And so there was the evidence here is the personal, and the moral integrity of the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. And so looking at the life of the Prophet, sallAllahu, alayhi wasallam,

00:11:05 --> 00:11:09
			one finds a human, who had reached

00:11:10 --> 00:11:12
			the highest level and standard

00:11:13 --> 00:11:18
			of integrity, in both his personality, and in his character.

00:11:19 --> 00:11:20
			And so he was known,

00:11:22 --> 00:11:26
			to be honest, to be trustworthy, to be reliable,

00:11:28 --> 00:11:30
			to be humble, to be just,

00:11:31 --> 00:11:35
			and not. And he didn't have these qualities like other people who have them,

00:11:36 --> 00:11:40
			but rather he had reached the highest level of these qualities.

00:11:42 --> 00:11:46
			And this is something that was acknowledged about him,

00:11:47 --> 00:11:52
			by his own people, who rejected him as a prophet from Allah.

00:11:54 --> 00:11:57
			And this is something that was acknowledged even afterwards.

00:11:58 --> 00:12:01
			Anyone who reads his biography,

00:12:02 --> 00:12:14
			even if he is a Catholic, or an orientalist, they acknowledge that the prophet SAW Selim was a man
of high moral,

00:12:16 --> 00:12:17
			integrity,

00:12:18 --> 00:12:19
			and character.

00:12:21 --> 00:12:24
			And anyone who reads his life finds that

00:12:25 --> 00:12:33
			he had these two qualities of honesty, and trustworthiness, before he ever claimed to be a prophet,
or a messenger.

00:12:34 --> 00:12:39
			And so basically, 40 years of his life,

00:12:42 --> 00:12:45
			40 years of his life, was testimony,

00:12:47 --> 00:12:55
			that he never spoke a lie, that he was honest, and so on, and so forth. This is something that his
own people acknowledged.

00:12:56 --> 00:12:59
			And we mentioned examples of that last week.

00:13:02 --> 00:13:19
			And how when the prophet SAW sort of first started, his dad will openly He called on the leaders of
kurush, and gathered them. And he asked them a very simple question. Because he knows there's gonna
be resistance.

00:13:21 --> 00:13:24
			So he wanted to establish a fact

00:13:25 --> 00:13:36
			that they agreed on, and that they saw in him, and that was his honesty. So he said to them, After
gathering them, if I was to tell you

00:13:38 --> 00:13:45
			that an enemy was waiting behind this valley, and he's about them, they were about to attack you.
Would you believe me?

00:13:48 --> 00:13:49
			He's trying to see,

00:13:50 --> 00:13:54
			will they claim that he's a liar? Or do they believe him to be honest?

00:13:55 --> 00:14:02
			So they said, Yes, of course, we will believe you, because we've never known you to ever lie. Why
would you lie about this?

00:14:03 --> 00:14:05
			So the prophet SAW Selim said

00:14:06 --> 00:14:17
			that today, I stand here as a warner have a terrible punishment to come. And then Abu lahab. He
said, This is why you gathered us on this day,

00:14:18 --> 00:14:20
			may your hands be destroyed.

00:14:21 --> 00:14:25
			So that is when Allah revealed sudo to lab.

00:14:27 --> 00:14:28
			And

00:14:30 --> 00:14:33
			that's because it's impossible, that a man who

00:14:35 --> 00:14:38
			has been known throughout his late 40 years of his life

00:14:39 --> 00:14:50
			to have you know, these high standards of honesty, trustworthiness, reliability, it's impossible
that now after 40 years, he would want to come and

00:14:51 --> 00:14:53
			make up a story like this.

00:14:55 --> 00:14:57
			And so this is exactly why

00:14:59 --> 00:14:59
			the

00:15:00 --> 00:15:06
			Emperor of Rome. And we mentioned this example last week as well, when he was asking Abu sufian
those questions.

00:15:07 --> 00:15:13
			And he asked them about the honesty of the prophet SAW seldom. And he said, No, we've never known
him to lie. Then at the end,

00:15:14 --> 00:15:38
			as he was explaining to Abu Sufyan, why he asked these questions, he said, When I asked you, you
know, have you ever accused him of lying before, before his claim to Prophethood? Your apply was no.
So he said, the emperor of Rome heraclius, he says, so I wondered how a person who does not tell a
lie about others

00:15:39 --> 00:15:42
			could tell a lie about a loss and paranoia what.

00:15:44 --> 00:15:46
			Also, if we were to say that

00:15:50 --> 00:15:55
			Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam authored the Quran,

00:15:58 --> 00:16:02
			being motivated by some personal interests,

00:16:04 --> 00:16:05
			like seeking fame,

00:16:07 --> 00:16:11
			or glory or nobility among his people,

00:16:12 --> 00:16:16
			or for the sake of wealth,

00:16:17 --> 00:16:19
			or for the sake of leadership.

00:16:22 --> 00:16:25
			If we were to say that, you know, this is

00:16:26 --> 00:16:34
			something that he was motivated by, then Firstly, we say the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
already had qualities

00:16:36 --> 00:16:36
			that

00:16:38 --> 00:16:41
			made him a noble person among his people.

00:16:43 --> 00:16:45
			They considered him to be

00:16:46 --> 00:16:49
			a noble person, they considered him to be

00:16:52 --> 00:16:54
			a person who they would give leadership.

00:16:57 --> 00:17:03
			It's not an issue for them to give them leadership, he deserves that. And there's something that
they recognized. Secondly,

00:17:06 --> 00:17:11
			when he was offered these things, and this is after he began his Dawa,

00:17:12 --> 00:17:15
			and they became frustrated with him.

00:17:16 --> 00:17:17
			They offered him

00:17:19 --> 00:17:36
			they offered him leadership, they offered him women, they offered him wealth. And so they said, if
it is poverty, that that is your problem, then we will gather wealth for you until we make you the
richest man on the kurush.

00:17:38 --> 00:17:46
			And they said, if it is women that you want to choose any of the women of Croatia, and we'll give
you 10 of them to marry.

00:17:50 --> 00:17:55
			So if that is what he wanted, then why did he put down those offers?

00:17:57 --> 00:17:58
			He put those offers down.

00:18:01 --> 00:18:19
			And so if it was true, that he desired, his personal glory, or leadership or fame, then why would he
declined the offer, when it was presented to him, and instead, instead of that, to live, a humble
life,

00:18:20 --> 00:18:28
			a simple life not only that, but to be persecuted, to be to have sanctions to put on him,

00:18:30 --> 00:18:33
			to have him and his followers to be attacked.

00:18:34 --> 00:18:38
			Why would he go through all that, if it was for the sake of

00:18:39 --> 00:18:43
			you know, for the sake of these dunya we purposes.

00:18:44 --> 00:18:51
			So from all of this, we see that the prophet SAW Selim was a person of high personal and moral
integrity.

00:18:53 --> 00:18:55
			And he didn't bring down that standard

00:18:56 --> 00:19:03
			after he became or after he claimed to be a prophet. So all of this shows us that

00:19:05 --> 00:19:06
			he couldn't have lied about

00:19:08 --> 00:19:09
			they couldn't have lied about.

00:19:10 --> 00:19:12
			Moving on to the second proof.

00:19:13 --> 00:19:14
			Moving on to the second proof

00:19:15 --> 00:19:19
			for the Quran being the word of Allah subhana wa tada

00:19:20 --> 00:19:28
			and that is that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was known to be unlettered,

00:19:30 --> 00:19:31
			to be unlettered

00:19:32 --> 00:19:55
			and in the Arabic language, we refer to this as me as being me. And some people, they translate to
this to be illiterate, but a better word than illiterate is to say unlettered. And that's because
being illiterate, comes with a certain negative connotation.

00:19:57 --> 00:20:00
			Being illiterate. It comes with

00:20:00 --> 00:20:05
			negative connotation where people think that you know, such person is ignorant,

00:20:06 --> 00:20:11
			and he's not intelligent. So it's better to use a word like unlettered or

00:20:12 --> 00:20:18
			unlearned. And so basically, the prophet SAW Selim never learned how to read or write.

00:20:19 --> 00:20:32
			That doesn't mean that he's unintelligent. No, it just means that he didn't learn how to read or
write. If he was taught how to read or write, he would have learned it.

00:20:33 --> 00:20:38
			But the point of mentioning this is, because how many times in history

00:20:39 --> 00:20:41
			how we have we found a person

00:20:42 --> 00:20:49
			who never knew how to read or write. And yet he brought a book as amazing as

00:20:52 --> 00:20:58
			Has that ever been recorded in history? book as sophisticated

00:20:59 --> 00:21:00
			and as comprehensive

00:21:02 --> 00:21:04
			and as accurate as the Quran?

00:21:05 --> 00:21:06
			How could a person

00:21:08 --> 00:21:13
			who didn't know how to read or write he didn't have those skills to author a book,

00:21:15 --> 00:21:17
			a book even of lesser standard than the Quran?

00:21:19 --> 00:21:20
			How could he authored the Quran?

00:21:23 --> 00:21:25
			And so if we were to say, for argument's sake,

00:21:27 --> 00:21:31
			that it is possible that a person can

00:21:32 --> 00:21:34
			author a book,

00:21:35 --> 00:21:36
			even though

00:21:37 --> 00:21:38
			you know, even though

00:21:41 --> 00:21:49
			they're not, they're not educated and they're not learned. And they haven't learned how to read or
write. If we were to say, for argument's sake,

00:21:52 --> 00:21:58
			that that's possible because maybe certain people are gifted with intelligence so they can quickly
learn it.

00:21:59 --> 00:22:02
			So yes, apostle Salaam didn't learn when he was younger, maybe.

00:22:03 --> 00:22:04
			Later on, he learned.

00:22:06 --> 00:22:07
			Then

00:22:09 --> 00:22:11
			how about the fact that

00:22:13 --> 00:22:15
			he brought a book like dakara,

00:22:17 --> 00:22:20
			as you mentioned, in all of its sophistication,

00:22:21 --> 00:22:27
			and completeness, and as we're gonna come later on, talking about its miraculous nature.

00:22:30 --> 00:22:33
			And this is something that was known to his own people.

00:22:36 --> 00:22:52
			This is something that was known to his own people, they knew him and they knew that he never
learned how to redirect. So no one can come now today to say that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi
wasallam, learned the Quran from others and gathered this information

00:22:54 --> 00:22:55
			and then came up with it

00:22:56 --> 00:22:57
			on his own.

00:23:00 --> 00:23:03
			And Allah subhanho wa Taala talks about the prophet SAW Selim being

00:23:05 --> 00:23:15
			a Latina, Latina, Toby Runa, Rasulullah, Nabi, mi, la de una homak, to benign don't turati will
enjoy those who follow

00:23:16 --> 00:23:23
			those who follow the messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whose description they find in the Torah and
the NGO.

00:23:26 --> 00:23:30
			Not only that, but we find that the Quran

00:23:32 --> 00:23:33
			has never been

00:23:35 --> 00:23:35
			edited,

00:23:36 --> 00:23:38
			or revised.

00:23:41 --> 00:23:43
			As it was never in need of that to begin with.

00:23:45 --> 00:23:46
			Unlike other books,

00:23:47 --> 00:24:10
			no matter how sophisticated a person is, no matter how intelligent they are, no matter how educated
they are, whenever they write a book, they always have somebody to edit it for them. And they always
have someone to review it for them. And they always come with mistakes.

00:24:12 --> 00:24:14
			Whether it be a small minute mistake,

00:24:15 --> 00:24:17
			or whether it be something greater.

00:24:18 --> 00:24:20
			But yet, we find

00:24:22 --> 00:24:23
			that this Quran,

00:24:24 --> 00:24:31
			the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam brought it, and yet he was an Arab in seventh century
Arabia,

00:24:32 --> 00:24:37
			with no formal education, or having the ability

00:24:38 --> 00:24:40
			to educate himself.

00:24:44 --> 00:24:46
			And so when and where in history,

00:24:48 --> 00:24:51
			Is there even a similar example to this not even something close.

00:24:52 --> 00:24:59
			And so this is one of the common proofs to prove that the Quran could not be from the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa

00:25:00 --> 00:25:00
			himself.

00:25:03 --> 00:25:04
			Moving on to the third proof

00:25:07 --> 00:25:08
			and this proof

00:25:13 --> 00:25:13
			is

00:25:16 --> 00:25:21
			looking at the fact that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam on several occasions

00:25:24 --> 00:25:26
			he was mocked,

00:25:28 --> 00:25:29
			and he was made fun of

00:25:31 --> 00:25:32
			all because

00:25:34 --> 00:25:36
			the revolution

00:25:38 --> 00:25:40
			would not come to him to defend him.

00:25:43 --> 00:25:45
			And so he put up with that mockery.

00:25:48 --> 00:25:54
			several occasions presented themselves where they could have fabricated versus if you want it.

00:25:56 --> 00:25:58
			If the Quran was from himself,

00:25:59 --> 00:26:04
			then he could have come up with verses to defend himself.

00:26:10 --> 00:26:13
			And so they would mock him, because nothing would come.

00:26:18 --> 00:26:28
			And so the first example of this is when the Quran was first revealed to the Prophet salallahu
alayhi wasallam, after the first revelation came, there was a pause.

00:26:30 --> 00:26:32
			There was a pause and nothing came through the process and for a while,

00:26:33 --> 00:26:35
			until the people they waited to hear for more.

00:26:37 --> 00:26:42
			And so then they start to make fun of him. And they said, that your Lord has abandoned you.

00:26:45 --> 00:26:47
			And then finally, after some time,

00:26:49 --> 00:26:51
			Allah subhana wa tada revealed surah

00:26:54 --> 00:27:08
			and what does Allah say in order to Buddha? What do you have a lady that such a man or a woman,
Allah, your Lord has not abandoned you, nor has he become hateful, have you?

00:27:11 --> 00:27:14
			And so here a lot reveals these verses in that context.

00:27:16 --> 00:27:17
			Also, another example

00:27:19 --> 00:27:19
			is

00:27:21 --> 00:27:22
			that,

00:27:24 --> 00:27:25
			and this is much later on in Medina.

00:27:27 --> 00:27:31
			When the hypocrites the mafia, Kuhn accused,

00:27:33 --> 00:27:35
			the wife of the Prophet sallallahu sallam, hi, Sharon.

00:27:38 --> 00:27:39
			And they slandered her

00:27:40 --> 00:27:41
			accusing her of Xena

00:27:45 --> 00:27:47
			and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam didn't know what to do.

00:27:50 --> 00:27:52
			And a long time passed

00:27:53 --> 00:27:54
			more than a month.

00:27:55 --> 00:28:01
			And there was no revelation, defending the process and defending his honor.

00:28:03 --> 00:28:06
			If he wanted to, if he was a false prophet making up the core, and then he could have

00:28:07 --> 00:28:09
			and he should have any sane person would.

00:28:10 --> 00:28:16
			any sane person would stand up to defend himself. But since the Quran is not from him, so long
rallies,

00:28:17 --> 00:28:39
			but rather it is from a lot he would wait. And he waited. And he went through a very difficult time
as a result of that. And so the Chateau de la Wagner, the entire community of believers went through
a very difficult time because of that. And then finally, Allah revealed the verses proclaiming,
actually a long line has been innocent. And this is the famous story of the if.

00:28:41 --> 00:28:43
			And last versus here are revealed in children.

00:28:45 --> 00:28:50
			So the point is that the processor went through that, and he put up with all of that, proving

00:28:51 --> 00:29:00
			that the Quran is from Allah, because if it was from himself, then he would have, he would have put
an end to that mockery. And he would have stood up to defend himself.

00:29:01 --> 00:29:02
			The next proof

00:29:04 --> 00:29:07
			is similar to this

00:29:09 --> 00:29:11
			in that it's from the Quran itself.

00:29:13 --> 00:29:16
			And so we have many instances where

00:29:17 --> 00:29:20
			the Quran criticizes the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam

00:29:23 --> 00:29:27
			and sometimes, using very strong words.

00:29:29 --> 00:29:33
			And so how can a false prophet blame himself

00:29:34 --> 00:29:38
			accused himself criticize himself when doing so

00:29:40 --> 00:29:43
			would potentially make him to lose followers.

00:29:46 --> 00:29:49
			He could put them in danger of losing

00:29:50 --> 00:29:51
			respect,

00:29:52 --> 00:29:53
			and losing followers.

00:29:54 --> 00:29:56
			And we have many examples of this.

00:29:58 --> 00:29:59
			And so for example, a loss isn't

00:30:00 --> 00:30:16
			Two to three right from the beginning yeah you never you Lima to her remove her Lola who letter to
bitterly mother daughter as logic Oh prophet? Why do you prohibit yourself from what Allah has made
lawful to you seeking to please your wives?

00:30:21 --> 00:30:23
			Which False Prophet would accuse himself as such as he?

00:30:25 --> 00:30:29
			Also, we have this famous incident of the Sahabi

00:30:30 --> 00:30:34
			who came to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam when he's getting down to the moose, raccoon,

00:30:36 --> 00:30:40
			and he ignored him. And this was the blind Sahabi

00:30:42 --> 00:30:49
			and so a lot of reveals, you know, sort of Tabitha with very strong words. I had this and what

00:30:50 --> 00:30:56
			he found, meaning the promises sort of frowned and turned his attention away. And just a whole ama

00:30:58 --> 00:31:00
			that, you know, this blind person came to him

00:31:01 --> 00:31:04
			Well, what a manager, okay, yes, sir.

00:31:05 --> 00:31:09
			Or Allah says of the of the copier. As

00:31:12 --> 00:31:14
			a Minister hoona

00:31:15 --> 00:31:22
			ministers gonna ask for the one who, you know, he doesn't need your dour. He feels himself to be

00:31:24 --> 00:31:38
			self sufficient. For n Taylor, who knows what they're giving you you're giving him your undivided
attention? What a meme and jack ASR as for the one who's coming to running Wireshark, and he fears a
lot. And

00:31:39 --> 00:31:47
			you're ignoring him, meaning that blinds are happy. Now which sane person would blame himself like
this?

00:31:48 --> 00:31:53
			If we were to say that this is that these are the words of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.

00:31:55 --> 00:31:59
			And so, if the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was to hide anything,

00:32:01 --> 00:32:02
			he would have hid these verses.

00:32:04 --> 00:32:06
			But instead, he recited them.

00:32:07 --> 00:32:13
			In all honesty, and truthfully, and so if the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam himself

00:32:14 --> 00:32:17
			had been the, the author of the Quran,

00:32:18 --> 00:32:24
			then he would have made sure that you know, there is nothing that can jeopardize

00:32:26 --> 00:32:30
			my, my theme and my followers and my supporters.

00:32:32 --> 00:32:33
			And so,

00:32:34 --> 00:32:47
			this is also one of the evidences that proves that the Quran could not be the source of the Quran
could not be the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam himself. Moving on to the next evidence.

00:32:53 --> 00:33:02
			So these evidences that we've looked at, they basically show us that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi,
wasallam, could not be the author of the

00:33:06 --> 00:33:11
			How about others, or other sources, then a lot of times,

00:33:13 --> 00:33:16
			and especially Christians, they like to claim that

00:33:17 --> 00:33:42
			the similarities, the similarities between the Quran and the Bible and other scriptures proves that
the prophets of Salaam learned from Christian sources or Jewish sources, or that the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wasallam copied and plagiarized from the Bible, or other sources, basically, that
the source of the Quran is from someone else.

00:33:45 --> 00:33:51
			And so what we say is, this is actually proof that the Quran is from Allah.

00:33:52 --> 00:33:55
			similarities between the Quran and other scriptures,

00:33:56 --> 00:34:04
			it doesn't necessarily mean that one has been copied from the other, but rather, it's evidence that
both of them

00:34:05 --> 00:34:07
			are from a common source.

00:34:09 --> 00:34:15
			And that it's from Allah subhanho wa Taala. Now obviously, when we say the Bible or the Torah, we
don't mean the one that we have today.

00:34:16 --> 00:34:18
			That this is from Allah,

00:34:19 --> 00:34:28
			but rather the ones that Allah revealed to musang or Isa, before they became distorted and changed.
Those are from Allah.

00:34:30 --> 00:34:33
			As for what they have today, it is not from Allah subhana wa Tada.

00:34:34 --> 00:34:38
			So how can we disprove the claim that the Quran was copied

00:34:39 --> 00:34:41
			from the Bible or other

00:34:42 --> 00:34:44
			scriptures?

00:34:46 --> 00:34:53
			In brief, we can say Firstly, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was, what did we say
earlier? He was

00:34:57 --> 00:34:57
			he was

00:34:59 --> 00:34:59
			yes

00:35:00 --> 00:35:24
			He was unlettered, he didn't know how to read or write. So how could he have copied from other
sources without knowing how to read or write. Secondly, the interactions that the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wasallam had with Jewish and Christian and Christian scholars, whatever interactions he had,
was very, very limited.

00:35:26 --> 00:35:35
			In order for this to be true that he copied off of the Bible or other sources, he must have spent
years learning with them

00:35:37 --> 00:35:38
			and then copying from them.

00:35:41 --> 00:35:48
			But the recorded instances of him meeting with them are very, very limited, you can count them on
the fingers of your hand.

00:35:50 --> 00:35:52
			One example is what are called the nofal.

00:35:55 --> 00:35:57
			The uncle of Khadija, the Allahu Allah,

00:35:58 --> 00:36:01
			and his interactions with him was only twice in his life.

00:36:06 --> 00:36:07
			And

00:36:08 --> 00:36:13
			he died after the first revolution. So after Allah revealed,

00:36:14 --> 00:36:33
			he went to work at Novell. And what occurred to Novell? Who was he, he was, he was a monk, who was
who knew the Scripture. And so what have I been offered, said, this is the same angel who came to
Musashi, Salah,

00:36:35 --> 00:36:43
			and you're going to be sent on a huge mission. And if I'm alive to be with you, I will support you.
But he soon died after that.

00:36:46 --> 00:36:50
			And likewise with others, his his interactions were very, very limited.

00:36:51 --> 00:36:52
			Thirdly, we can say that

00:36:55 --> 00:36:59
			his travels to Christian areas also was very limited.

00:37:01 --> 00:37:18
			The travels that he had made to areas that were known to be Christian areas like northern north of
Arabia, a sham Syria, he did travel to these places, but it is recorded that he only traveled twice
in his entire life.

00:37:22 --> 00:37:27
			Once was with Abu Talib, his uncle on a business mission,

00:37:28 --> 00:37:30
			and the other was with his wife Khadija,

00:37:31 --> 00:37:32
			probably along

00:37:34 --> 00:37:35
			and even then,

00:37:37 --> 00:37:43
			we're talking about traveling for a few days, not enough to learn and then copy and write something
like that.

00:37:45 --> 00:37:59
			Fourthly, we say that whatever discussions that he had, with Christians and Jews, like proper
discussions, where he sat with them, and had proper discussions with them about religion was when

00:38:00 --> 00:38:14
			it was more than 13 years after the revelation of the Quran, in Medina. So after he migrated to
Medina, and he met the Jews there, then he, you know, he had he had actual dialogue with Al Kitab.

00:38:15 --> 00:38:28
			And that's where the Christians then towards the very end of his life, when that group came from
neutron, the Christians of ninja Ron, and we have pseudo alien Ron, that was revealed in this
context.

00:38:30 --> 00:38:33
			But how about prior to that?

00:38:34 --> 00:38:36
			How about prior to that

00:38:37 --> 00:38:40
			none of that could have been copied from any other source.

00:38:42 --> 00:38:45
			Also, the Arabic version

00:38:46 --> 00:38:49
			of the Bible never existed in the time of the Prophet sallallahu wasallam.

00:38:51 --> 00:38:57
			For them to say that he copied it from the Bible. The earliest Arabic version of the Old Testament

00:39:00 --> 00:39:02
			is said to be in the year 900,

00:39:03 --> 00:39:34
			which is almost 250 years after the death of the Prophet Allah values. As for the New Testament,
than the earliest recorded Arabic translation of it, was published in 1616 1000 years, more than
1000 years after the death of the Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam. And the prophet SAW Selim did
not know any other language besides Arabic, so it's impossible that he had copied it from other
sources.

00:39:36 --> 00:39:37
			Also,

00:39:38 --> 00:39:54
			do you are serious differences between the Quran and you know, the present day Bible or the Bible
that existed in the time of the Prophet I'll send them in terms of foundational matters? Yes, there
are similarities.

00:39:55 --> 00:39:57
			And for this, we say that there's a common source

00:39:58 --> 00:39:59
			but in terms of different

00:40:01 --> 00:40:10
			You know, we're talking about issues related to tearsheet. And ship, the concept of resolving Salah,
who was he and Maria,

00:40:11 --> 00:40:17
			and other foundational matters in both religions, we see complete differences.

00:40:19 --> 00:40:22
			We see complete differences. Also Finally,

00:40:24 --> 00:40:25
			we can say that

00:40:27 --> 00:40:29
			the critics of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:40:31 --> 00:40:33
			from among Croatian others,

00:40:35 --> 00:40:36
			they had kept a close eye on him

00:40:40 --> 00:40:43
			throughout his life, and even after he claimed to be a prophet,

00:40:45 --> 00:40:48
			if he was learning from somebody else,

00:40:50 --> 00:40:54
			then there is no doubt that they would have noticed it.

00:40:55 --> 00:41:14
			And they would have tried to use it against them. And there is an instance where they tried to say
that he's learning from somebody else. And this was basically a Roman blacksmith, who used to live
on the outskirts of Mecca. So some of them said that he goes, and he learns from him.

00:41:15 --> 00:41:17
			There were only a few times when the prodigal son would go and watch him.

00:41:19 --> 00:41:25
			So they said, he goes to him and he learns from him, simply because he happened to be Roman. So
Allah refutes this in the Quran

00:41:28 --> 00:41:28
			by saying

00:41:31 --> 00:41:34
			that the language that he speaks, is how Jimmy

00:41:36 --> 00:41:44
			Walker has gone out of the movie. As for this person, it is in a clear Arabic language, meaning that
Roman blacksmith

00:41:46 --> 00:41:59
			never used to speak Arabic. And so there's a huge difference there. So the point is that the machico
does matter, they used other other ways of trying to discredit the prophet SAW Selim.

00:42:02 --> 00:42:06
			If this was something serious, and for sure, they would have used it.

00:42:08 --> 00:42:13
			To say that the process was copying off of others, we move on to the next proof

00:42:14 --> 00:42:17
			proving the

00:42:18 --> 00:42:24
			the authenticity of the Quran or proving that the Quran is from the it's from Allah subhanho wa
Taala.

00:42:25 --> 00:42:31
			And this is by looking at the Quran, and its miraculous content.

00:42:32 --> 00:42:47
			So what we've done so far, is we've eliminated the first two possibilities. And that is that the
Quran could could be from the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam himself that he authored it. And
the second

00:42:48 --> 00:42:53
			that the Quran is from another source other than the prophet SAW Selim.

00:42:55 --> 00:43:02
			And other scripture, or another person that he that he, the author did for him, or that he copied
off of

00:43:04 --> 00:43:13
			that leaves us with the third possibility. And that is that it could only be the words of Allah
Subhana. Who would because there's no other possibility.

00:43:14 --> 00:43:16
			So now what we do we look at,

00:43:17 --> 00:43:25
			we look at proofs that further strengthen the fact that it is from Allah Subhana water.

00:43:26 --> 00:43:30
			The first way we do this is by looking at the miraculous content of the Quran.

00:43:32 --> 00:43:41
			When we read the Quran, and we see what's in it, we find things which are miraculous in nature,
meaning

00:43:42 --> 00:43:44
			that this information in the Quran

00:43:46 --> 00:43:49
			no human being could have had knowledge of it.

00:43:50 --> 00:43:52
			And this is basically three things

00:43:53 --> 00:43:56
			detailed news of the past

00:43:58 --> 00:44:01
			and prophecies of the future

00:44:02 --> 00:44:11
			and scientific discoveries today that that proves that what is mentioned before and basically

00:44:12 --> 00:44:19
			is from Allah subhanho wa Taala. Because because they they coincide with one another.

00:44:20 --> 00:44:24
			So as for detailed news of the past, an example of this is

00:44:26 --> 00:44:31
			the fact that the Quran refers in the story of use of allihies salam

00:44:32 --> 00:44:34
			to the ruler of Egypt as what

00:44:37 --> 00:44:41
			the ruler of Egypt in the Quran in the story of the use of Allah His Salah

00:44:43 --> 00:44:45
			is he referred to as a pharaoh?

00:44:48 --> 00:44:51
			No, he's referred to as Al Aziz,

00:44:52 --> 00:44:53
			the ruler of Egypt,

00:44:54 --> 00:44:58
			but the Bible in the story of use of Joseph

00:45:00 --> 00:45:04
			mentions that it was the Pharaoh, the ruler of Egypt at that time was a pharaoh.

00:45:07 --> 00:45:08
			And today,

00:45:09 --> 00:45:18
			archaeologists and historians see that the Quran is accurate in this case, because in those days,
there were no Pharaohs.

00:45:21 --> 00:45:28
			So this is an example of news of the past. That, you know, is very accurate.

00:45:29 --> 00:45:32
			And it's impossible for the process to have known this on his own.

00:45:35 --> 00:45:40
			As for prophecies of things that are going to occur in the future, then we have

00:45:43 --> 00:45:46
			the fact that a law says that we're going to preserve the body of film,

00:45:48 --> 00:45:57
			we're going to preserve it until the day of judgment. And this is something that has happened today,
where they have recovered his body and preserved it. And it's in a museum

00:45:59 --> 00:46:03
			until the day of judgment. And another example is,

00:46:05 --> 00:46:31
			sort of to room and how Allah subhanho wa Taala tells us that the Persians will soon have victory,
or the Persians have had victory over the Romans. And this was in the time of the Prophet salallahu,
alayhi wasallam. The Persians were victorious over the Romans. And then Allah says, in a few years,
the Romans will, once again defeat the Persians. And that's exactly what ended up happening.

00:46:33 --> 00:46:34
			So this is an example of

00:46:35 --> 00:46:43
			prophecies of the future, how would the prophet SAW Selim have known that that would happen, and it
happened exactly right.

00:46:44 --> 00:46:45
			Allah mentioned,

00:46:47 --> 00:46:51
			as for some time as for scientific discoveries, and this is something that

00:46:52 --> 00:47:04
			is very well known, and something that doesn't require much discussion. This is something that has
been taught over and over again, that the scientific discoveries of today

00:47:06 --> 00:47:20
			match perfectly with what is mentioned in the Quran on so many different issues. But we have to
point out here that we shouldn't go to an extreme that some have gone into, into these scientific
miracles.

00:47:22 --> 00:47:24
			And so there are many cases where

00:47:26 --> 00:47:56
			people have tried to find, you know, things in the Quran, which you don't say that these are
scientific miracles. And then it turns out, that it's not really that accurate. So we shouldn't, we
shouldn't use everything that's mentioned. But there are certain things which are, which are without
a doubt, scientific discoveries, that the Quran mentions accurately, such as what happens to the
fetus, in the womb of the mother, and the different stages that it goes through.

00:47:58 --> 00:48:02
			This is something that has only been discovered in modern times,

00:48:03 --> 00:48:05
			and other geological

00:48:06 --> 00:48:20
			discoveries, such as the mountains, and how they're used as pegs, in stakes, and, you know, other
discoveries, all of these could not have been known by

00:48:21 --> 00:48:27
			an unlettered unlearned man in seventh century Arabia.

00:48:29 --> 00:48:32
			Rather, no one in the entire world at that time, had knowledge of this.

00:48:33 --> 00:48:35
			So that proves it can only be from

00:48:36 --> 00:48:37
			Allah subhanho wa Taala.

00:48:40 --> 00:48:45
			After that, we move on to the next proof, and that is the miraculous style of the Quran.

00:48:48 --> 00:48:58
			The miraculous style of the Quran. And so the Quran is a literary masterpiece of Arabic, which was
in the past,

00:49:00 --> 00:49:03
			an unrivaled piece of work.

00:49:05 --> 00:49:05
			And so

00:49:07 --> 00:49:13
			the rhythmic nature of the Quran, the style of the Quran, it's something that shook that society

00:49:15 --> 00:49:16
			when they heard these words,

00:49:18 --> 00:49:24
			they were mesmerized by these words. And they were a people who used to indulge in poetry

00:49:25 --> 00:49:35
			and these to have competitions to see who can come with the best poetry. When the Quran was
revealed. All of those competitions came to a halt.

00:49:38 --> 00:49:43
			And they wondered, where could Where could this person be coming from.

00:49:45 --> 00:49:53
			And there are many instances of poets and people who recognize poetry. They admitted that these are
no words of any poets.

00:49:54 --> 00:49:57
			Impossible that these could be the words of a poet

00:50:01 --> 00:50:01
			And so,

00:50:03 --> 00:50:04
			because of this,

00:50:05 --> 00:50:11
			Allah subhanho wa Taala use the ER n as a proof against them and challenge them

00:50:12 --> 00:50:22
			to produce something like when we say produce something like it, it doesn't mean something as good
as it in meaning etc know, what is meant is

00:50:23 --> 00:50:27
			produced something similar to it something like it

00:50:28 --> 00:50:29
			in its eloquent nature

00:50:32 --> 00:50:38
			and all aspects surrounding it. And this was a challenge that allowed me to run

00:50:39 --> 00:50:44
			which those Arabs in those days field to meet.

00:50:45 --> 00:50:51
			And this challenge has still been unmet until this very day.

00:50:53 --> 00:50:54
			And

00:50:56 --> 00:51:03
			the fact that the Quran is a miracle when we say the Quran is a miracle, this is what we mean that
the Quran itself is a miracle.

00:51:04 --> 00:51:24
			And it refers to this challenge that Allah has made to produce something like it, and yet they
weren't able to produce anything like so this is the miraculous title. We move on to the last and
final proof concerning the Quran being from Allah subhanho wa Taala. And that is

00:51:25 --> 00:51:28
			by looking at the preservation of the Quran.

00:51:30 --> 00:51:36
			And the Quran is preservation we can say it's twofold. The Quranic preservation is twofold

00:51:37 --> 00:51:39
			preservation of its words,

00:51:41 --> 00:51:44
			and preservation of its meanings.

00:51:48 --> 00:51:53
			And so Allah subhanho wa Taala said, in national decra what

00:51:55 --> 00:52:00
			it is, we have revealed the Quran, and we will surely preserve it.

00:52:02 --> 00:52:13
			And so the Quran has been preserved every word of it, every letter of it. And as we mentioned
earlier on, it was passed on by memorization.

00:52:14 --> 00:52:22
			And so when we say preserve, we don't mean in a particular book, although Yes, we have manuscripts
that date very early on,

00:52:23 --> 00:52:34
			that show us the Qur'an we have today matches with those manuscripts. But when we say that the Quran
is preserved, we mean that Allah has preserved it in the hearts of the believers.

00:52:36 --> 00:52:40
			And so there is no difference in a single letter of the

00:52:43 --> 00:52:48
			withdrawal regards to the meanings of the Quran, then there's no inconsistency.

00:52:49 --> 00:52:51
			There's no contradictions.

00:52:53 --> 00:53:18
			The Quran has been preserved from having any of consistencies. That's why Allah subhana wa tada
says, affilaite, the Bruna Quran, do not reflect on the Quran will Academy? Do you really know what
to do? Because if they were, if it was to be from other than Allah, they would have surely and
certainly have found many inconsistencies in it.

00:53:20 --> 00:53:20
			Like

00:53:21 --> 00:53:33
			the Bible and the other scriptures, look at the inconsistency in those books, and the contradictions
and the errors, all because

00:53:34 --> 00:53:42
			the authors were human beings, whereas the Quran, it is from Allah subhanho wa Taala alone. And so

00:53:45 --> 00:53:59
			these are some of the evidences and some of the proofs that we can use to show that the Quran is
indeed from Allah subhanahu wa tada and not from anyone else. With that we come to the end of

00:54:00 --> 00:54:03
			the foundations of Islam that we wanted to discuss

00:54:04 --> 00:54:20
			the proofs for Allah subhanho wa Taala, the proofs for the Prophet hood, and the proofs for next
week, what we'll do is, we'll move on to looking at some of the beauties of Islam. And some of the
things that make Islam unique

00:54:21 --> 00:54:32
			and therefore make it to be considered to be the truth, the truth from Allah subhanho wa Taala
Subhana Allah Moby Dick, Shadwell, La Ilaha Illa and I still fuuka Where to go?
