00:00:21 --> 00:00:41
			Bismillah al Rahman al Rahim al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil alameen wa Salatu was Salam O Allah hiree.
Haleakala, he urged marine. While early he was a happy woman today he had he was tending to be
suniti Isla yo Medina and adad Salam alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

00:00:46 --> 00:00:49
			In every era, the battle between

00:00:51 --> 00:00:53
			the truth and falsehood

00:00:55 --> 00:00:57
			has always taken on different forms.

00:00:58 --> 00:01:01
			And so if the battle in the past between

00:01:02 --> 00:01:12
			the prophets and their people was over the false gods and the idols that they used to worship, then
the battle today

00:01:13 --> 00:01:15
			is over something different.

00:01:16 --> 00:01:20
			And that is over ideologies

00:01:21 --> 00:01:24
			that our opponents are seeking to spread

00:01:26 --> 00:01:31
			and are seeking to replace with Islam. And so we can say that

00:01:32 --> 00:01:34
			the paganism of Jamelia

00:01:36 --> 00:01:46
			in the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was one of idolatry. Whereas the paganism of
today is one of ideologies.

00:01:48 --> 00:01:50
			And there are many ideologies that the West

00:01:51 --> 00:01:54
			and the western civilization has tried

00:01:55 --> 00:02:13
			to colonize our minds and our hearts with such as liberalism, feminism, humanism and all these other
isms. But the most dangerous of these ideologies is what is known as atheism, the denial

00:02:14 --> 00:02:17
			of what everything in existence

00:02:19 --> 00:02:20
			is proof of.

00:02:21 --> 00:02:23
			And that is the existence of Allah subhanho wa Taala.

00:02:25 --> 00:02:45
			And this is the eventual end of all of these ideologies, the denial of the existence of Allah
subhanho wa Taala. And there was a time when many of us Muslims thought that such a fundamental
truth, the existence of Allah is something that will never be denied by any Muslim.

00:02:46 --> 00:02:59
			Yes, non Muslims, they are leaving their religions in droves, and turning to atheism. But there was
a time when we Muslims thought that this wouldn't affect our community.

00:03:01 --> 00:03:12
			And that although our youth are embracing Western values, and ideals, and so on and so forth, that
they would never adopt atheism, they would never

00:03:13 --> 00:03:17
			leave Islam, and claim that a lot does not exist.

00:03:18 --> 00:03:27
			But the unfortunate reality that we are facing today is that many of our youth have not only left
Islam,

00:03:28 --> 00:03:36
			but have outright denied the existence of Allah subhanho wa Taala. Or at least at least many of them
today

00:03:38 --> 00:03:39
			are doubting

00:03:40 --> 00:03:49
			or doubting the existence of a law or many other fundamental aspects of our Deen. So the question
is, how do we deal with this phenomenon?

00:03:50 --> 00:04:00
			How should we respond to the doubts that are raised by atheists and others? How should we protect
our youth

00:04:01 --> 00:04:05
			from having their Deen stripped away from them?

00:04:06 --> 00:04:14
			If we look at human history, we find that whenever there were wars, whenever there were wars, there
have always been

00:04:15 --> 00:04:16
			two things to focus on.

00:04:20 --> 00:04:21
			There's always been two things to focus on

00:04:23 --> 00:04:23
			attack,

00:04:24 --> 00:04:25
			and defense

00:04:27 --> 00:04:30
			and the necessary tools and weapons for both.

00:04:31 --> 00:04:37
			For attacking the enemy. We humans have developed all forms, and all different kinds of weapons,

00:04:38 --> 00:04:47
			and for and for defense, the same shields and other ways of defending ourselves. And if we continue
to look at the nature

00:04:48 --> 00:04:58
			of human wars, we find that they were not only fought on the battlefield, physically, but also,
there were other battlefields.

00:05:00 --> 00:05:05
			These other battlefields were the battlefields of ideas.

00:05:06 --> 00:05:09
			We're a different kind of weapon was used.

00:05:10 --> 00:05:13
			And that is the weapon of words,

00:05:15 --> 00:05:16
			writing,

00:05:17 --> 00:05:33
			speaking the media as it is today, and so on and so forth. And when we look at the life of our
Prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam, we find that his enemies tried both physical warfare as well as

00:05:34 --> 00:05:45
			the ideological warfare to win the hearts and minds, which is why Allah subhanho wa Taala ordered
our Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:05:46 --> 00:05:47
			in the very beginning

00:05:48 --> 00:06:01
			to wage what kind of jihad, the Jihad of words. And so Allah subhana wa Tada, said, Salah to
tirrell, Katharina, was he to whom V, Jihad and Kabira

00:06:02 --> 00:06:11
			do not obey the kuffaar but rather fight against them. The greatest kind of jihad with it? What is
it, to

00:06:13 --> 00:06:18
			use the Quran to fight back? So this is the ideological warfare,

00:06:20 --> 00:06:28
			the war of hearts and minds. And so through Islamic history, our scholars have stood up

00:06:29 --> 00:06:30
			to the attacks

00:06:33 --> 00:07:02
			against our Deen and the very fundamentals of our Deen clarifying the truth with weapons of evidence
of convincing arguments of debates, critiquing the views of their opponents, exposing their
falsehood, and so on and so forth. And the doubts and the misconceptions are continuously being
raised. And even more so today than ever in the past.

00:07:04 --> 00:07:15
			Concerning Islam, and its fundamental principles, all of this, what does it show, it shows us the
need to respond,

00:07:16 --> 00:07:17
			the need

00:07:18 --> 00:07:34
			to stand up and defend Islam and our core beliefs, the very fundamentals we're not talking about
sight issues, issues where there can be disagreement, we're talking about the very core fundamental

00:07:36 --> 00:07:40
			aspects of our Deen the very existence of Allah.

00:07:44 --> 00:07:49
			Our core Islamic beliefs, belief in Allah belief in the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:07:50 --> 00:07:53
			belief in the Quran, and so on and so forth.

00:07:54 --> 00:08:03
			And so we need to equip ourselves, as well as our youth, with the necessary shields

00:08:04 --> 00:08:07
			to protect themselves from the attacks

00:08:09 --> 00:08:16
			of the enemies of Islam. And in this day and age, there are so many.

00:08:19 --> 00:08:19
			Now,

00:08:30 --> 00:08:31
			when doctors look at,

00:08:32 --> 00:08:43
			or they look for the vaccination for a certain virus that is spreading, let's say for example,
today, this virus that has broken out in China,

00:08:45 --> 00:08:56
			they're still looking for a vaccination for it. What do they do? when doctors look for a vaccination
to prevent a certain virus? What are the first steps that they take?

00:08:57 --> 00:09:00
			What they do is they first start

00:09:02 --> 00:09:05
			by identifying the very nature of the virus

00:09:07 --> 00:09:10
			and its causes, why is it spreading

00:09:12 --> 00:09:14
			and then based on that,

00:09:15 --> 00:09:25
			based on that, they will then look for a suitable vaccination for it. Likewise, is the case for

00:09:26 --> 00:09:34
			ideological and social issues that we human beings face. And so you cannot attempt to remedy
something,

00:09:36 --> 00:09:39
			a certain ideological or social problem

00:09:40 --> 00:09:47
			except by first being fully aware of the nature of that problem

00:09:48 --> 00:09:52
			and the causes for it. And so the first thing that we want to do

00:09:53 --> 00:09:59
			before we even delve into what we want to speak about in this class,

00:10:01 --> 00:10:02
			Is that we want to

00:10:04 --> 00:10:06
			identify what are the characteristics

00:10:08 --> 00:10:20
			that describe today's wave of doubts and false accusations that are being thrown about Islam.

00:10:22 --> 00:10:23
			Today is not like before.

00:10:25 --> 00:10:26
			In today's world,

00:10:28 --> 00:10:29
			there are attacks that are being

00:10:31 --> 00:10:32
			thrown against Islam.

00:10:34 --> 00:10:35
			They have a certain

00:10:38 --> 00:10:39
			they have a certain quality to them.

00:10:41 --> 00:10:59
			This entire campaign against Islam today is not like before, it has certain characteristics that
define it. So, let us look at some of these characteristics. The first is that these doubts that are
being spread about Islam

00:11:00 --> 00:11:02
			or destructive

00:11:03 --> 00:11:09
			and not constructive, chaotic and not structured.

00:11:10 --> 00:11:19
			And so, the bring about problems, whether it be atheists or others, they bring about problems
concerning Islam.

00:11:21 --> 00:11:26
			And they raise objections concerning Islam, but then they don't present

00:11:27 --> 00:11:31
			an alternative view that is solid and concrete.

00:11:36 --> 00:11:40
			Let us look at an example of that. The new atheists have today.

00:11:42 --> 00:11:45
			There is a group of people called the new atheists.

00:11:47 --> 00:11:51
			These new atheists are different than the atheists have before.

00:11:55 --> 00:11:57
			Their entire focus

00:11:59 --> 00:12:00
			is not on atheism.

00:12:03 --> 00:12:03
			What is atheism?

00:12:05 --> 00:12:06
			atheism is

00:12:07 --> 00:12:13
			to reject belief in the existence of a creator of Allah subhanho wa Taala.

00:12:14 --> 00:12:17
			So although their focus should be on

00:12:19 --> 00:12:21
			trying to prove the non existence of Allah,

00:12:23 --> 00:12:28
			their entire focus is on criticizing religion, and especially Islam,

00:12:29 --> 00:12:31
			and especially Islam.

00:12:33 --> 00:12:38
			These new atheists, they're led by people like Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, and others.

00:12:40 --> 00:12:41
			And so

00:12:43 --> 00:12:45
			during that entire focus

00:12:46 --> 00:12:53
			is on criticizing religion, and making fun of religion and making fun of people who follow religion.

00:12:54 --> 00:12:59
			But when it comes to objecting to atheism,

00:13:00 --> 00:13:01
			they try to run away.

00:13:03 --> 00:13:03
			And so

00:13:06 --> 00:13:08
			when people of religion

00:13:11 --> 00:13:13
			point out certain object objections

00:13:15 --> 00:13:16
			to the atheist worldview,

00:13:18 --> 00:13:23
			they don't have answers. They try to avoid the questions and said, we come back to

00:13:24 --> 00:13:34
			making fun of religion, criticizing religion, trying to say that all the problems that we have in
this world today are because of religion, but then when you turn around and ask them,

00:13:36 --> 00:13:43
			okay, what is your worldview that you want to replace religion with? They don't have any answer.

00:13:47 --> 00:13:48
			And that's because they know

00:13:49 --> 00:13:50
			that's because they know

00:13:51 --> 00:13:51
			that

00:13:53 --> 00:13:58
			the atheistic worldview is chaotic. They have nothing to go back to.

00:13:59 --> 00:14:01
			If you disbelieve in Allah subhanho wa Taala

00:14:03 --> 00:14:06
			then that means you don't have any thing to go back to.

00:14:08 --> 00:14:10
			Let's take one simple example.

00:14:11 --> 00:14:13
			ethics, moral values, where do these come from?

00:14:14 --> 00:14:16
			There are certain moral values

00:14:17 --> 00:14:41
			regardless of what religion you follow, you would agree that yes, these are moral values that we all
agree on. Lying For example, this is something that is agreed upon, where do these come from? We
believe that they all go back to the Creator, who created this world in this way. And he set a
certain moral standard.

00:14:42 --> 00:14:45
			For them, what is it all go back to evolution?

00:14:47 --> 00:14:48
			A very chaotic

00:14:50 --> 00:14:53
			system. There is a mystery until today.

00:14:55 --> 00:14:59
			Take another example. Take another example. If a creator didn't create this

00:15:00 --> 00:15:01
			universe, then

00:15:03 --> 00:15:03
			then what did

00:15:05 --> 00:15:08
			even if you were to say it was a big bang,

00:15:09 --> 00:15:20
			what caused that big bang to occur? They don't have any answers to these questions. And so they come
around back to focusing on criticizing religion. So

00:15:22 --> 00:15:34
			this current wave of doubts and allegations and accusations against Islam are destructive and not
constructive in nature. The second characteristic is

00:15:36 --> 00:15:38
			that they use attractive slogans

00:15:39 --> 00:15:47
			and catchy phrases, the purpose of which is to plant seeds of doubt

00:15:48 --> 00:15:50
			in the hearts of Muslims.

00:15:53 --> 00:15:57
			Certain catchy phrases like using terms like freedom,

00:15:58 --> 00:15:59
			liberation,

00:16:01 --> 00:16:07
			or, and we have examples of this, for example, look at this ad that we have on buses.

00:16:09 --> 00:16:11
			It says science flies you to the moon.

00:16:12 --> 00:16:14
			Religion flies you into buildings,

00:16:15 --> 00:16:16
			catchy phrases.

00:16:18 --> 00:16:20
			attractive. Here's another example.

00:16:23 --> 00:16:25
			godless, fearless ex Muslim.

00:16:26 --> 00:16:27
			All of this

00:16:30 --> 00:16:36
			is to plant seeds of doubt in the hearts of in the hearts of Muslims. Because a Muslim,

00:16:38 --> 00:16:40
			a Muslim, it's very difficult to convince him

00:16:41 --> 00:16:46
			to become an atheist. So they use these kinds of tactics,

00:16:48 --> 00:17:06
			these kind of tactics, to attract them, and to begin the process of confusing them and planting
those seeds of doubts in their hearts. The third characteristic of this current wave of atheism and

00:17:07 --> 00:17:09
			doubts concerning Islam

00:17:10 --> 00:17:14
			is that the battlefield is mainly on social media.

00:17:16 --> 00:17:24
			And so most of our youth who are becoming affected by atheistic beliefs, and other adults concerning
Islam

00:17:25 --> 00:17:28
			is starting starts meanly on social media.

00:17:31 --> 00:17:35
			And this is what makes it very challenging to deal with. How do we know?

00:17:36 --> 00:17:42
			How do we Muslims as a community? How do we how do we tackle that? It's not like before,

00:17:43 --> 00:17:44
			we're where

00:17:45 --> 00:17:51
			if your son or daughter was kept away from the society,

00:17:53 --> 00:17:54
			then you could easily protect them.

00:17:56 --> 00:18:02
			What it means basically, is that today, if your son or daughter is even going to the masjid, every
single day,

00:18:04 --> 00:18:10
			and you are giving them a good environment at home, a good Islamic environment.

00:18:11 --> 00:18:13
			But they have access to social media.

00:18:16 --> 00:18:18
			And you have no guarantee

00:18:19 --> 00:18:21
			that they will fall into these doubts.

00:18:24 --> 00:18:28
			The fourth characteristic of this current wave of atheism is

00:18:30 --> 00:18:35
			that its opposition is to the very core foundation of Islam.

00:18:37 --> 00:18:38
			And the shirt

00:18:39 --> 00:18:43
			that is unanimously agreed upon by almost us

00:18:46 --> 00:18:47
			as opposed to if it was

00:18:49 --> 00:18:59
			a wave of doubts centered on a particular group of Muslims, for example, or a particular sect or

00:19:00 --> 00:19:02
			a particular school of thought

00:19:04 --> 00:19:07
			without touching the very foundations of Islam.

00:19:08 --> 00:19:10
			Then you could say it's not a big deal.

00:19:12 --> 00:19:13
			These are things that

00:19:14 --> 00:19:29
			are not related to the core beliefs. So we could differ over these issues. It's not a big deal. But
no that's not the case. This current wave of doubts are concerning and touching the very foundations
and the pillars of our Deen

00:19:31 --> 00:19:32
			in the danger in that is clear.

00:19:33 --> 00:19:42
			The danger in that is clear. If one objects to a single fundamental aspect of Islam that cannot be
denied.

00:19:43 --> 00:19:59
			Then he denies it. Then it leads to Kufa and if he dies in that state, he's headed for the Hellfire
in the punishment of Allah subhanahu wa tada as opposed to those other side issues. For example,

00:20:00 --> 00:20:03
			issues affect, for example, where scholars have different

00:20:04 --> 00:20:06
			a person who remains a Muslim.

00:20:08 --> 00:20:08
			And so

00:20:11 --> 00:20:21
			one of the qualities of today's wave of doubts is that it touches the very core foundations of our
Deen. The fifth characteristic

00:20:22 --> 00:20:24
			is that those being affected

00:20:27 --> 00:20:31
			are basically they come under two categories.

00:20:32 --> 00:20:43
			Either they are those looking to free themselves from the shackles of religion to freely satisfy
their Shahada.

00:20:45 --> 00:20:48
			And so they're looking for a justification

00:20:49 --> 00:20:51
			to enjoy themselves in this society.

00:20:53 --> 00:20:58
			Or the second category are those who genuinely believe in these doubts.

00:21:00 --> 00:21:06
			It's not a justification for, you know, enjoying their lustful desires.

00:21:07 --> 00:21:08
			It's a genuine belief,

00:21:09 --> 00:21:12
			they came across these doubts and they started believing in them.

00:21:14 --> 00:21:23
			So that means basically, that we should not generalize, we should not generalize when dealing with
those affected, throwing them all in the same boat.

00:21:25 --> 00:21:32
			But rather, we need to look for the causes of these doubts in the particular person, and then deal

00:21:33 --> 00:22:08
			with each accordingly. Sometimes, we tend to generalize and say, basically, any person who's
becoming an atheist, it's because of his Shahada. That's not true. Yes, most times, that is a case.
But sometimes, it's a genuine belief, a person genuinely gets led astray. starting to believe that,
for example, a loss of Hannah horchata does not exist. And so each needs to be dealt with
accordingly.

00:22:10 --> 00:22:13
			After that, let's look at some of the causes

00:22:15 --> 00:22:15
			for why

00:22:17 --> 00:22:31
			some of our youth are becoming affected by these notes. Because once we understand the causes, we
can then we can then move forward with understanding how to deal with the problem.

00:22:33 --> 00:22:36
			And so many of us wonder, you know, what, is it that led?

00:22:38 --> 00:22:50
			My son or my daughter or whoever, what is it that led them to become atheists? Or what is it that
led one of my friends to start objecting to some of the very fundamental aspects of our Deen?

00:22:51 --> 00:22:54
			Sometimes we tend to pinpoint

00:22:56 --> 00:23:05
			the cause on one particular issue. But the reality is there it's not limited to one or two causes.
And so

00:23:06 --> 00:23:12
			it's actually a web of issues that are interlinked with one another.

00:23:13 --> 00:23:27
			And so the first cause is definitely the spread of shots of hair I'm sure a lot to spread and the
ease of access that we have nowadays,

00:23:29 --> 00:23:30
			to hold on Shahar.

00:23:31 --> 00:23:32
			What are shallot

00:23:34 --> 00:23:35
			What are shadow What?

00:23:37 --> 00:23:41
			shadow attributes basically our lustful desires that we human beings

00:23:42 --> 00:23:43
			want

00:23:44 --> 00:23:51
			to, you know, enjoy our lustful desires, whether it be in Zina, whether it be

00:23:53 --> 00:24:00
			in drinking alcohol, whether it be in drugs, all of these are examples of Shahada

00:24:01 --> 00:24:03
			and Allah subhanho wa Taala

00:24:04 --> 00:24:27
			has put a limit to our human desire. Yes, enjoy yourself and what Allah has made permissible. What
is beyond that. This is transgressing the bounds of a loss of Hannah who would die. And so the
reality is that the nature of today's show what is that it is easier than ever before

00:24:28 --> 00:24:29
			to access it,

00:24:31 --> 00:24:40
			it is easier than ever before to get caught up in it. And that's the one of the big challenges that
we face today with our youth.

00:24:41 --> 00:24:49
			And once you get caught up in it, all of your emotion, and all of your thought gets focused on it.

00:24:51 --> 00:24:55
			All of your emotions and all of your thoughts are focused on trying to satisfy

00:24:56 --> 00:24:58
			your desires in that thing.

00:25:00 --> 00:25:01
			So what does that lead to?

00:25:02 --> 00:25:05
			Basically, what that leads to is

00:25:06 --> 00:25:08
			feeling the burden of guilt.

00:25:11 --> 00:25:20
			And so a person who feels a burden of the legislations of Islam, the do's and the don'ts, oh,
there's so many.

00:25:21 --> 00:25:23
			How can I free myself from this burden, it's heavy.

00:25:25 --> 00:25:29
			How can I enjoy myself without

00:25:30 --> 00:25:31
			feeling guilty

00:25:33 --> 00:25:35
			without having remorse,

00:25:36 --> 00:25:46
			that I'm doing something wrong. And so basically, that leads them to search for ways to cut off that
guilt.

00:25:48 --> 00:25:49
			And what is the easiest way to do that?

00:25:51 --> 00:25:57
			One of the easiest ways to do that is by basically simply throwing religion out of the window

00:25:59 --> 00:26:02
			or to deny the resurrection.

00:26:04 --> 00:26:08
			To deny that there is a day in which I'll be brought to account.

00:26:10 --> 00:26:19
			Let me deny these things. And that's it. I can enjoy myself and I won't have any burden of guilt.

00:26:21 --> 00:26:23
			There's also another way of looking at this

00:26:25 --> 00:26:26
			and that is

00:26:28 --> 00:26:30
			the fact that frequently sitting

00:26:31 --> 00:26:34
			and not turning to Allah subhanho wa Taala in repentance.

00:26:36 --> 00:26:41
			It builds a stain on our hearts that Allah subhanho wa Taala mentioned.

00:26:42 --> 00:26:51
			And this stain on our hearts. It doesn't allow us to see the truth clearly. So Allah subhanho wa
Taala says,

00:26:53 --> 00:27:00
			In Surah tomahto Fifi kelab l Ron, Allah kulu ba Ma, can we act Cebu. In fact, their hearts

00:27:01 --> 00:27:02
			have become stained,

00:27:04 --> 00:27:06
			have become stained, because of what they used to do.

00:27:07 --> 00:27:14
			This thing on the heart, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam explained it. He said that when one
of you commits a sin

00:27:16 --> 00:27:22
			a dot, a black dot ends upon his heart. And then if he doesn't repent, he continues to sin.

00:27:23 --> 00:27:33
			It becomes covered with that, that. So this is the stain and this is the cover that ends up on the
heart. So when the heart becomes more and more stained,

00:27:34 --> 00:27:36
			it becomes more and more fog.

00:27:37 --> 00:27:41
			And so the light of a man in the heart, it becomes dim,

00:27:42 --> 00:27:49
			making it easy to become vulnerable and affected by even the slightest of don'ts.

00:27:50 --> 00:28:06
			And so this is one of the main causes of why many people are being affected today. And our youth are
being affected by the adults. And the allegations that are being thrown out there against Islam. The
second cause

00:28:07 --> 00:28:08
			is

00:28:09 --> 00:28:10
			the second cause

00:28:12 --> 00:28:20
			is a weak level of your claim. The second cause is a weak level of up What does your key mean?

00:28:21 --> 00:28:24
			Your key means more than just belief.

00:28:25 --> 00:28:27
			It means a conviction in your heart.

00:28:28 --> 00:28:29
			That you know what this is the truth.

00:28:32 --> 00:28:40
			It's not just I believe in it, and that's it. No. You're convinced of your belief. You're certain
about your belief.

00:28:43 --> 00:28:46
			And so how is it that this is a cause?

00:28:49 --> 00:28:53
			For many of our youth to take on these doubts?

00:28:54 --> 00:28:55
			Let's take one example.

00:28:57 --> 00:28:59
			printing the forearm.

00:29:00 --> 00:29:01
			printing the forearm

00:29:03 --> 00:29:05
			and printing it on time

00:29:06 --> 00:29:10
			is one of the most fundamental fundamental parts of our body.

00:29:11 --> 00:29:16
			Not just praying our five daily solo ad or praying it on time

00:29:18 --> 00:29:35
			and delaying it beyond its time is one of the major sins in Islam to purposely intentionally delay
your Salah until the time finishes and to pray after after the time without any excuse. This is a
major sin. But yet

00:29:36 --> 00:29:44
			how do we explain the fact that many Muslims today not just a few many Muslims today

00:29:45 --> 00:29:46
			are guilty

00:29:47 --> 00:29:48
			of

00:29:49 --> 00:29:50
			not praying there's a lot on time.

00:29:53 --> 00:29:58
			One of the reasons for that is weak. A weak level of your team

00:30:00 --> 00:30:01
			What does your cane have to do with Salah?

00:30:03 --> 00:30:08
			Basically, Allah subhanho wa Taala says, was there you know the Saberi was Salah.

00:30:11 --> 00:30:17
			Seek help through patience, and so on. And then what does Allah say? What in * occur be rotten?

00:30:19 --> 00:30:32
			We're in the lobby Roatan. Illa Allah hace it is burdensome, it is heavy Salah is heavy for those
who do not have to shoot in it.

00:30:34 --> 00:30:43
			Those who can pay attention in their sola sola is heavy for them. And then what does the law say?
levena noodle, and no moolah corapi.

00:30:44 --> 00:30:51
			Who are they the people have in their Salah Who are they? They are those who are certain

00:30:52 --> 00:30:54
			about meeting Allah subhana wa tada

00:30:57 --> 00:31:18
			they have your clean, they have a high level of your clean for them. Salah is not burdensome, it's
something easy for them. And so Salah is burdensome for those who do not have Quran. And horseshoe
is burdensome for those who are weak in their yaqeen.

00:31:19 --> 00:31:24
			And so all of this ties into the fact that

00:31:26 --> 00:31:29
			a weak level of your clean is easy for a person

00:31:30 --> 00:31:31
			to fall into

00:31:32 --> 00:31:36
			doubts concerning Islam. And the reality is,

00:31:37 --> 00:31:38
			the reality is

00:31:39 --> 00:31:44
			that many Muslims today are safe from Cofer

00:31:46 --> 00:31:47
			and from atheism,

00:31:48 --> 00:31:51
			even though they have a weak level of Yaki

00:31:54 --> 00:31:55
			you may be wondering,

00:31:57 --> 00:31:58
			you may be wondering, even me,

00:31:59 --> 00:32:01
			you know, I don't have perfect tissue in my salon.

00:32:04 --> 00:32:08
			But Alhamdulillah you know, I don't doubt the truth of Islam.

00:32:10 --> 00:32:12
			I don't doubt the existence of Allah.

00:32:16 --> 00:32:20
			But that may be because you are exposed

00:32:22 --> 00:32:23
			to those doubts

00:32:25 --> 00:32:28
			or you aren't exposed to them directly.

00:32:29 --> 00:32:32
			And so, a lot has kept you safe.

00:32:33 --> 00:32:35
			A lot has kept you safe

00:32:36 --> 00:32:43
			from those doubts. But now, if such people were to be exposed to these doubts,

00:32:44 --> 00:32:47
			and we're talking about strong doubts concerning the foundations of Islam,

00:32:49 --> 00:32:51
			the man may not be able to stand it.

00:32:53 --> 00:32:54
			Why because of

00:32:55 --> 00:32:58
			their weak level of Yaki and even taymiyah.

00:32:59 --> 00:33:02
			He has a very nice quote, regardless,

00:33:03 --> 00:33:04
			he says,

00:33:05 --> 00:33:07
			He says the general people,

00:33:08 --> 00:33:37
			whether they convert to Islam after Cooper, or they were born Muslims and become practicing and are
obedient to Allah and His Messenger, then they are Muslims. He says that then they are Muslims and
they have overall Emacs. However, imagine entering their hearts is something that happens step by
step, if Allah grants them that otherwise, most people do not reach the level of the Hakim, nor
jihad.

00:33:38 --> 00:33:39
			And if

00:33:40 --> 00:33:49
			and if they were exposed to doubts, they will start doubting. And if they were commanded to
participate in jihad, they will not do it.

00:33:51 --> 00:33:56
			He says, These people are not kofod they are not disbelievers,

00:33:57 --> 00:34:32
			nor are they hypocrites. But their hearts do not have the knowledge and they are clean. That would
word off doats. Nor do they have the strong love for Allah and His messenger that would make them to
prefer it over their families and their wealth. He says these people, if they were saved from being
tested, and then they die, they would enter Paradise. Meaning if they are saved from being tested in
their Eman with these doubts, they will hamdulillah they will die as Muslims and they will enter
agenda.

00:34:33 --> 00:34:51
			But if they are tested with those who expose them to doubts that would cause them to start doubting,
then if Allah does not bless them with something that will remove their doubts, they would continue
to do doubt and move on to a kind of newfound a kind of hypocrisy.

00:34:53 --> 00:35:00
			So a weak level of your clean is one of the reasons why many of our users

00:35:02 --> 00:35:15
			are becoming vulnerable and easily believing in these doubts concerning yourself. Because they went
out there. And they were exposed to these doubts directly. Maybe someone came to them

00:35:16 --> 00:35:22
			and question them, and they couldn't run away from it. Whereas growing up, you kept them safe

00:35:24 --> 00:35:29
			upon a man, but they didn't develop a strong level of you're clean.

00:35:31 --> 00:35:33
			Moving on to the third, cause,

00:35:35 --> 00:35:40
			the third cause our personal and social problems.

00:35:41 --> 00:35:58
			And so many people who start to doubt Allah subhanho wa Taala, or some of his attributes, some of
the attributes of Allah such as the mercy of Allah, or the wisdom of Allah subhanho wa Taala, why
does Allah do this? Why doesn't he do this?

00:35:59 --> 00:36:00
			questioning

00:36:01 --> 00:36:11
			the wisdom of Allah subhanho wa Taala, they do so as a result of certain calamities that they are
facing in life,

00:36:12 --> 00:36:14
			either with themselves or with those around them.

00:36:15 --> 00:36:25
			And because they are not able to overcome these calamities, these tests in life, they start finding
displeasure

00:36:26 --> 00:36:29
			in the cover and the color of Allah subhana wa Tada.

00:36:31 --> 00:36:31
			Maybe

00:36:33 --> 00:36:34
			some of them,

00:36:35 --> 00:36:39
			you know, something very evil happened to them when they were young.

00:36:41 --> 00:36:47
			And they are still trying to cope with this, and they become adults. And so they start questioning a
lot.

00:36:49 --> 00:36:53
			The culture of Allah, or the wisdom of Allah or the mercy of Allah.

00:36:55 --> 00:37:23
			And this, the atheists referred to as a problem of evil, that if a merciful or powerful God exists,
then why is there suffering and evil in the world? And is something that we'll talk about in sha
Allah in the coming classes, but the point is, that these personal and social issues and problems
that we face, many people they don't know how to deal with them. So an easy way out. Let me blame
Allah subhana wa Tada.

00:37:26 --> 00:37:29
			Let me deny the existence of a loss of Hannah who

00:37:31 --> 00:37:39
			alone must be unjust. A law cannot be merciful. And so they start to question a lot and his
attributes and this is nothing new.

00:37:40 --> 00:37:53
			This is nothing new. Allah subhanahu wa tada spoke about this in the Quran. And so Allah Subhana who
tells us that there are certain people who after worshiping Allah, being obedient to Allah, they
flip

00:37:55 --> 00:38:00
			and they turn 180 degrees when a lot test them.

00:38:01 --> 00:38:16
			And so it says women in US Mija Buddha law Allah health, for in asaba, who Haruna Toma and maybe
we're in also a bit who fitna in colada Allah what he has euro dunya will ask you, Danica

00:38:18 --> 00:38:37
			and there are some Allah says there are some who worship a lot on the verge of faith, meaning simply
out of faith. If they are blessed with something good, they are content with it, they are happy. If
Allah blesses them with something good, prosperous times, things are going very well for them.
They'll continue to believe in Allah.

00:38:39 --> 00:38:44
			But then, if they are afflicted with a trial, they relapse,

00:38:45 --> 00:38:53
			they relapse into this belief losing this world, and that surely is the clearest loss.

00:38:56 --> 00:38:57
			The fourth cause

00:38:58 --> 00:38:59
			for

00:39:00 --> 00:39:03
			people becoming affected by the doats.

00:39:05 --> 00:39:17
			And this current wave of doubts concerning Islam out there today is a low level of worship, and
especially that which relates to our hearts,

00:39:18 --> 00:39:20
			and so rarely will you find a person

00:39:22 --> 00:39:23
			who focuses

00:39:24 --> 00:39:25
			on his data

00:39:26 --> 00:39:45
			and keeping his heart healthy, constantly checking his relationship with Allah subhanho wa Taala his
love for Allah, putting his two will in a loss of Hannah who attalla etc. and making sure that he
keeps his heart free of the diseases of the heart, like Korea,

00:39:46 --> 00:39:47
			Cuba,

00:39:48 --> 00:39:50
			Hazard envy and so on and so forth.

00:39:51 --> 00:39:55
			Such people rarely will you find

00:39:57 --> 00:39:59
			that they will replace

00:40:00 --> 00:40:04
			There's a man in the sweetness of a man that they taste,

00:40:06 --> 00:40:07
			that they would replace it with something else.

00:40:09 --> 00:40:11
			Once they've reached that level

00:40:12 --> 00:40:18
			of the worship of Allah subhanho, wa Taala, and their heart is attached to Allah, and they find the
sweetness of that

00:40:20 --> 00:40:22
			they would never want to replace it,

00:40:24 --> 00:40:25
			even for a single day,

00:40:26 --> 00:40:33
			for anything else, and they are willing to sacrifice everything in this life, to give up that.

00:40:35 --> 00:40:39
			On the other hand, people who have not experienced the same

00:40:41 --> 00:40:42
			that is many of our youth,

00:40:43 --> 00:40:46
			they haven't tasted that sweetness of

00:40:49 --> 00:40:50
			any other pleasure

00:40:51 --> 00:40:53
			in this dunya will easily pull them

00:40:54 --> 00:40:56
			because they're missing something in their heart.

00:40:58 --> 00:41:00
			And that is the happiness that comes with emotion.

00:41:02 --> 00:41:03
			And feeling content with Allah.

00:41:05 --> 00:41:06
			They're missing, that

00:41:07 --> 00:41:09
			they're missing the happiness in their heart, and so

00:41:12 --> 00:41:14
			they're willing to look for it elsewhere.

00:41:16 --> 00:41:33
			Finally, the last cause is a lack of Islamic knowledge. And this is obvious. And so being well
grounded in Islamic knowledge, it gives you a foundation that you can go back to,

00:41:35 --> 00:41:42
			whenever you are exposed to new issues, and new delts those that don't have this foundation,

00:41:44 --> 00:41:48
			they become vulnerable to these doubts, why because they don't have anything

00:41:49 --> 00:41:50
			to fall back on.

00:41:51 --> 00:41:58
			And this is the unfortunate reality of many of our youth in this society that we haven't given them.

00:42:00 --> 00:42:03
			The strong Islamic foundation

00:42:06 --> 00:42:07
			of Islamic knowledge,

00:42:09 --> 00:42:11
			we give them bits and pieces here and there.

00:42:12 --> 00:42:20
			And then when they grow older, they become teenagers or they start going to university, and then
they become exposed to these doubts.

00:42:21 --> 00:42:25
			They don't have the necessary knowledge

00:42:27 --> 00:42:27
			to respond.

00:42:28 --> 00:42:36
			And so this is one of the main causes that, you know, makes them vulnerable to such adults.

00:42:38 --> 00:42:39
			Now,

00:42:41 --> 00:42:46
			as we come to the end of today's class, we want to talk about this class,

00:42:47 --> 00:42:51
			this class that we'll be having every Tuesday in sha Allah,

00:42:52 --> 00:43:08
			from seven until 8pm, to Asia inshallah, the purpose of this class is basically to help us with the
challenge of today's wave of doubts

00:43:10 --> 00:43:15
			and accusations and allegations that are being made against us.

00:43:17 --> 00:43:37
			Whether you yourself are exposed to these doubts, or you want to help someone who is exposed to
them, or you want to equip yourself with the knowledge, on how to deal with these doubts. And so,
that is a purpose

00:43:38 --> 00:43:43
			of this class B is anila. And we will start with

00:43:46 --> 00:43:50
			we will start with building a foundation.

00:43:52 --> 00:43:58
			And so, there are two aspects to this class. One is

00:43:59 --> 00:44:02
			to build a strong foundation.

00:44:04 --> 00:44:05
			And then the other

00:44:06 --> 00:44:08
			is to respond

00:44:10 --> 00:44:14
			and to have the tools to respond to these doubts.

00:44:17 --> 00:44:17
			And so,

00:44:18 --> 00:44:22
			the first thing that we'll be doing is looking at the foundations of Islam.

00:44:25 --> 00:44:31
			Starting with the proofs for ahwaz existence and His perfection,

00:44:33 --> 00:44:36
			the proofs for the existence and His perfection.

00:44:38 --> 00:44:58
			So not just the fact that Allah exists but also some of his perfect attributes that we touched upon,
such as the wisdom of Allah, the mercy of Allah, the justice of Allah subhanho wa Taala. Then after
that, we'll move on to proofs for

00:45:00 --> 00:45:03
			Prophethood of Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,

00:45:06 --> 00:45:17
			what are some of the proofs that prove that he was indeed a prophet, sent by Allah subhanho wa
Taala, and that he was not a liar, simply making a claim.

00:45:19 --> 00:45:28
			And then after that, we'll look at the proofs for the authenticity, the authenticity of what the
prophet also came with. And that is the Quran

00:45:30 --> 00:45:32
			and how it is indeed,

00:45:34 --> 00:45:40
			the true Word of Allah subhanahu wa tada and not some words of a human being.

00:45:41 --> 00:45:42
			And then after that,

00:45:43 --> 00:45:46
			we'll look at why

00:45:48 --> 00:45:51
			we human beings actually need a religion.

00:45:52 --> 00:46:08
			Because there are people out there who say, we don't disbelieve in the existence of God. We don't
disbelieve in the existence of a creator for this universe. But they say that that creator and that
God did not send us a religion.

00:46:12 --> 00:46:16
			And so we need to respond to this. And so we say that there is

00:46:17 --> 00:46:20
			that we human beings actually do need

00:46:21 --> 00:46:36
			a religion to guide us. And then we'll look at some of the beautiful aspects of Islam that show that
it is indeed, the true Deen from Allah subhanho wa Taala. Then after that, we'll move on to discuss

00:46:38 --> 00:46:41
			what is considered to be evidence,

00:46:42 --> 00:46:46
			what is considered to be evidence, because

00:46:48 --> 00:46:53
			it's easy for us to say that, here are the evidences that prove our beliefs.

00:46:55 --> 00:47:00
			ABCD that's very easy to do. And everyone has their own

00:47:02 --> 00:47:05
			their own evidences, their own proofs, their own arguments,

00:47:06 --> 00:47:08
			and everyone claims to be upon the truth.

00:47:10 --> 00:47:12
			So that's why we need to look at

00:47:13 --> 00:47:17
			Islamic epistemology. What does it mean? It means?

00:47:19 --> 00:47:21
			What is evidence to prove a reality?

00:47:24 --> 00:47:27
			What is evidence to prove a reality?

00:47:29 --> 00:47:35
			So that's what we're going to look at, we're going to also look at what are the sources of Islamic
beliefs.

00:47:36 --> 00:47:43
			And then we're going to look at the correct methodology of deducing evidences, because there are
people out there

00:47:44 --> 00:47:45
			who have their own methodology

00:47:47 --> 00:47:48
			of saying that this is how

00:47:49 --> 00:47:53
			this is how we should present our proofs.

00:47:54 --> 00:48:06
			And our evidences. And so, for us, we have to go back to the methodology of the sooner when Gemma
when presenting our evidences.

00:48:07 --> 00:48:09
			After that, we'll move on to

00:48:11 --> 00:48:11
			the

00:48:12 --> 00:48:22
			the second part, and that is now responding to the doubts and the false allegations against Islam.

00:48:23 --> 00:48:40
			And this part will include Firstly, rules, we have to have certain, a certain set of rules for
critiquing our opponents. What are those rules, we're going to cover that. Also, we're going to
cover the underlying errors

00:48:41 --> 00:48:42
			of

00:48:43 --> 00:48:59
			many of these doubts and false allegations. There are certain list of errors, that all of these
doubts concerning Islam can be summarized under a certain list. So we're gonna cover that. Then
after that,

00:49:00 --> 00:49:04
			after that, we're gonna dismantle some of the common doubts

00:49:05 --> 00:49:13
			and false allegations. And this will be two parts first concerning the foundations of Islam.

00:49:15 --> 00:49:17
			the very core of our Deen

00:49:19 --> 00:49:22
			and some of the allegations, so concerning belief in Allah,

00:49:24 --> 00:49:28
			some of the common allegations to try to disprove our belief in Allah.

00:49:30 --> 00:49:39
			Also in the Quran, some common doubts, how can we respond to these doubts? And then the second part
is some of the common

00:49:41 --> 00:49:44
			doubts concerning the legislations of Islam.

00:49:46 --> 00:49:48
			The rulings of the Sharia

00:49:49 --> 00:49:58
			and these are many, so we'll select a few of the common ones. Like the the concept of slavery.

00:50:00 --> 00:50:08
			the oppression of women, the food, the punishments in Islam,

00:50:09 --> 00:50:15
			responding to each one of these shout aloud. And so what we intend to achieve

00:50:16 --> 00:50:19
			through this class is to show

00:50:20 --> 00:50:27
			to show that belief in Islam as being the truth is not something emotional.

00:50:28 --> 00:51:20
			And it's not something that is built upon simply following our parents and our forefathers. But
rather, it is a reality that is built upon evidence and a wide range of evidences, and convincing
arguments that basically make one make one's heart and mind to submit to the that is the eventual
goal that we attend, intend to achieve through this class B, E to Allah. And so in sha Allah tala
for next week, we'll start on the first the first component of this class, which is looking at the
evidences for the existence and perfection of Allah Subhana. Who, what, so

00:51:22 --> 00:51:30
			we'll stop here for today in sha Allah Subhana Allah Mohammed ik a shredwell Allah, Allah and so
futile to like
