00:00:56 --> 00:00:58
			Today we move on to

00:01:01 --> 00:01:03
			several names of Allah subhanho wa Taala

00:01:04 --> 00:01:05
			that

00:01:07 --> 00:01:11
			indicate his kind

00:01:12 --> 00:01:14
			and gentle and merciful nature.

00:01:16 --> 00:01:21
			And so there are many names of Allah that come under this

00:01:22 --> 00:01:23
			come under this meaning.

00:01:25 --> 00:01:30
			So in sha Allah hotel today will take some and next week, we'll take the remaining.

00:01:33 --> 00:01:36
			And so the names we have for today are four.

00:01:37 --> 00:01:39
			They are Ruth,

00:01:41 --> 00:01:42
			a Latif,

00:01:43 --> 00:01:46
			Al Halim, and a Rafiq

00:01:48 --> 00:01:48
			or Ruth,

00:01:49 --> 00:01:50
			a lot we've

00:01:51 --> 00:01:55
			al Halim, and a Rafiq.

00:01:57 --> 00:02:03
			As for a roof, this name has been mentioned about 10 times in the Quran.

00:02:05 --> 00:02:15
			And what we noticed is that eight out of the 10 times it's mentioned along with another name of
Allah and that is

00:02:16 --> 00:02:17
			which name is

00:02:18 --> 00:02:19
			a Rahim.

00:02:20 --> 00:02:24
			Rahim, are often rushing. And so for example,

00:02:25 --> 00:02:26
			in Surah Baqarah.

00:02:28 --> 00:02:51
			And this ayah comes twice in the Quran in surah Al Baqarah, verse 143, and in surah, two hedge for
65 the exact same idea or the part of the ayah in nawada Be nurse Nancy. Laura woofer Rahim in the
law had been Nancy, Laura OOF Rahim that Allah is

00:02:54 --> 00:02:58
			full of kindness and Most Merciful towards mankind

00:03:03 --> 00:03:05
			also another

00:03:09 --> 00:03:11
			area has been mentioned twice in the Quran

00:03:12 --> 00:03:21
			and that is walawe who wrote Woofle billary that wala who are often believer that comes twice

00:03:22 --> 00:03:27
			in Surah Baqarah Verse 207 And Ali Imran

00:03:29 --> 00:03:39
			verse number 31 Allahu Allah often believe that the Allah is full of kindness to His servants. Allah
is full of kindness to His servants.

00:03:41 --> 00:03:43
			As for a lot believe

00:03:44 --> 00:03:46
			it has been mentioned seven times in the Quran.

00:03:50 --> 00:03:55
			And many of those times it has been mentioned with a hobby a lottery fund.

00:03:58 --> 00:04:12
			And so Allah subhanho wa Taala says Allah Allah movement Haluk Surah Mulk la Ayala movement HELOC
will who will love to eat and hubby does He who created not know

00:04:15 --> 00:04:17
			should not he know

00:04:18 --> 00:04:29
			who he has created or what he has created? Well who will not do evil Kabir he is the most kind. And
our hobby is a name we took previously which means the one who is all aware.

00:04:32 --> 00:04:46
			Another example of Latif Allah says in Surah Surah verse 19, Allah who loves to even be a bad
addition. Allah who loves to even be a baddie, Allah is Allah cleave

00:04:47 --> 00:04:59
			most kind to his servants, Yoda Zuko mania Shah, who will who will call realizes he provides
abundantly to whomever he wills and he is a realizes

00:05:00 --> 00:05:02
			The All Powerful the Almighty.

00:05:03 --> 00:05:09
			So this is a lock with us for Al Haleem. This name has been mentioned 11 times in the Quran

00:05:10 --> 00:05:11
			Al Halim

00:05:14 --> 00:05:22
			and it has been mentioned along with her for a couple of times on the phone. And so for example,

00:05:23 --> 00:05:25
			Allah subhanho wa Taala says

00:05:26 --> 00:05:27
			in

00:05:29 --> 00:05:30
			Surah two earlier Imran

00:05:31 --> 00:05:32
			concerning

00:05:34 --> 00:05:35
			the Battle of OIT

00:05:36 --> 00:05:44
			in the Latina toa low income young melta culture money in ministers Allahumma shape on the bow the
Marchesa Gu,

00:05:45 --> 00:06:13
			that those who fled on the day when the two armies met, they were made to slip by shaitan for what
they had earned of sins. One aka the Alpha Allahu Anhu and Allah has pardoned them in Allaha foreign
Haleem in the world of a foreign Haleem Allah is Most forgiving and Haleem which means Most
Forbearing.

00:06:17 --> 00:06:21
			And elsewhere last week, we took Allah's Name a show called

00:06:23 --> 00:06:26
			and we have in surah Taha Boone

00:06:27 --> 00:06:28
			shackled with Helene.

00:06:30 --> 00:06:39
			So Allah says in Tokyo, Bula Cordoba and Hassan And you will live Hoolock home while felucca if you
give to Allah a good loan,

00:06:40 --> 00:06:47
			then he will multiply it for you and forgive you will Allah Who shall who don't have you and Allah
is Shaku

00:06:49 --> 00:06:53
			the most appreciative and Haleem the most forbearance

00:06:55 --> 00:06:57
			as well Ryfylke This is a name

00:06:58 --> 00:06:59
			that has not been mentioned.

00:07:01 --> 00:07:03
			It has not been mentioned in the Quran,

00:07:04 --> 00:07:05
			Rafiq

00:07:08 --> 00:07:10
			nor has it even been mentioned.

00:07:14 --> 00:07:19
			In other forms, in the Quran, like in the verb form or in the noun form.

00:07:20 --> 00:07:23
			It has not been mentioned or attributed to Allah in the Quran.

00:07:24 --> 00:07:27
			But we find it in the Sunnah. And so

00:07:29 --> 00:07:32
			in the Hadith found in Sufi Bukhari and Sahih Muslim

00:07:33 --> 00:07:42
			I shot all the Allahu anha narrates that a group of Jews came and asked permission to visit the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam

00:07:44 --> 00:07:46
			so when they were admitted,

00:07:47 --> 00:07:50
			and they're standing before the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam

00:07:51 --> 00:07:52
			they said to him,

00:07:53 --> 00:07:55
			as Sam who ally

00:07:56 --> 00:07:58
			assemble Alec.

00:08:00 --> 00:08:02
			They said, May death be upon you

00:08:05 --> 00:08:10
			so it sounds like they're saying a Salam Ehrlich but they're not

00:08:11 --> 00:08:13
			and the Jews are known to

00:08:15 --> 00:08:21
			distort words and change words as Allah mentions you know that's what they do.

00:08:22 --> 00:08:24
			So they said Assam will Alec

00:08:25 --> 00:08:33
			so I showed her the Allahu Allah she says, so I said to them, may death and the curse of Allah be
upon you

00:08:36 --> 00:08:38
			may depth and the curse of Allah be upon you.

00:08:40 --> 00:08:43
			So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said to her yeah Isha

00:08:44 --> 00:08:50
			in Allah or fee you can. You hipbone Rifka Phil Emery Cooley

00:08:52 --> 00:09:06
			Allah is Rafi. So here is the evidence for this name of Allah, in the locker of ALLAH is revealed.
And that means Allah is gentle, and kind

00:09:07 --> 00:09:09
			and he loves gentleness,

00:09:10 --> 00:09:12
			in all matters.

00:09:13 --> 00:09:24
			Allah is Rafiq and he loves the riff, gentleness in all matters. So then she said, I shall read the
Allahu Anhu says, so I said, But didn't you hear what they said?

00:09:25 --> 00:09:31
			So the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he says, so I said to them, what I like,

00:09:32 --> 00:09:35
			what Aliko I said to them, what Aliko

00:09:36 --> 00:09:37
			and to you the same.

00:09:39 --> 00:09:41
			That's the meaning of what alikoum and to you the same.

00:09:44 --> 00:09:51
			And so, whenever a character gives us Salam, and we're talking about the proper Salam,

00:09:53 --> 00:09:56
			we reply, not by giving them Salam.

00:09:57 --> 00:09:59
			but rather by seeing

00:10:00 --> 00:10:01
			wildly, wildly cool.

00:10:04 --> 00:10:10
			So these are the four names that we have today are Ruth

00:10:14 --> 00:10:24
			Ruth Latif and Helene. And Rafiq, what do these names mean? All of these names revolve around
meanings of

00:10:25 --> 00:10:26
			mercy,

00:10:27 --> 00:10:31
			compassion, kindness, and gentleness

00:10:33 --> 00:10:37
			as a roof, it means the one who is most kind,

00:10:38 --> 00:10:39
			most merciful,

00:10:41 --> 00:10:42
			most compassionate.

00:10:44 --> 00:10:56
			Now, there's another name or another two names that we covered previously, that have the same
meanings of mercy and compassion. Which means are those

00:10:58 --> 00:11:00
			are Rahman and Rahim.

00:11:02 --> 00:11:04
			Rahman and Rahim

00:11:06 --> 00:11:06
			so

00:11:08 --> 00:11:16
			what is the difference? Rahman Al Rahim we covered this already. And we talked about the Rama, the
Mercy of Allah.

00:11:18 --> 00:11:19
			But roof

00:11:20 --> 00:11:25
			is basically the utmost level of mercy and compassion.

00:11:27 --> 00:11:28
			And this is what

00:11:30 --> 00:11:33
			the scholar Ibn Jerry Tabari, the famous

00:11:35 --> 00:11:36
			manifester of the Quran,

00:11:38 --> 00:11:39
			this is how he defined it.

00:11:40 --> 00:11:47
			He defined rules as being the most level of mercy and compassion, as in

00:11:48 --> 00:11:51
			an outpouring of mercy and compassion,

00:11:52 --> 00:11:55
			an outpouring of mercy and compassion.

00:11:57 --> 00:12:01
			And so, this is why the Scholars they mentioned that the difference between

00:12:04 --> 00:12:07
			rasa which comes from

00:12:09 --> 00:12:16
			Ruth and Russia, which is Rahmanir Rahim, the difference is that

00:12:17 --> 00:12:24
			rasa. So, when we translate into English, it means the same thing

00:12:25 --> 00:12:27
			mercy, compassion,

00:12:29 --> 00:12:32
			rasa and Rama

00:12:33 --> 00:12:34
			but in the Arabic language

00:12:36 --> 00:12:37
			refer

00:12:38 --> 00:12:38
			is

00:12:40 --> 00:12:41
			something pleasing

00:12:42 --> 00:12:44
			that happens to you

00:12:45 --> 00:12:50
			a blessing that is pleasing, delightful, from all perspectives

00:12:54 --> 00:12:55
			while Rama

00:12:56 --> 00:12:59
			the Rama of Allah is

00:13:00 --> 00:13:03
			you may not look at it as being a blessing

00:13:04 --> 00:13:06
			because there's pain in it.

00:13:08 --> 00:13:11
			So, we can say it is painful at first sight,

00:13:12 --> 00:13:13
			but pleasurable later on.

00:13:16 --> 00:13:20
			It's painful at first sight, but pleasurable later on, as in

00:13:21 --> 00:13:23
			a blessing in disguise.

00:13:25 --> 00:13:26
			A blessing in disguise.

00:13:29 --> 00:13:33
			And so this is why Allah subhanho wa Taala said in Surah to know

00:13:37 --> 00:13:40
			when Allah subhanho wa Taala talks about the punishment for

00:13:41 --> 00:13:42
			the fornicators

00:13:44 --> 00:13:53
			Zania towards Zanni for Julie do Kula I didn't mean whom me agenda that the female and male
fornicators

00:13:54 --> 00:13:58
			give each one of them 100 lashes

00:14:00 --> 00:14:02
			and then what does Allah say?

00:14:03 --> 00:14:14
			When at Hood Combi Hema rock fell when at hood can be Hina or refer to V de la he in quantum took me
know when Abdullah he only

00:14:15 --> 00:14:17
			and do not let

00:14:18 --> 00:14:21
			Rafa which in this context means pity.

00:14:22 --> 00:14:24
			Don't let pity

00:14:25 --> 00:14:34
			and compassion for them make you lenient in enforcing the deen of Allah and the laws of Allah upon
them.

00:14:35 --> 00:14:37
			If you truly believe in Allah and the Last Day,

00:14:38 --> 00:14:39
			meaning

00:14:40 --> 00:14:41
			don't look at them

00:14:43 --> 00:14:45
			and be like this is too harsh.

00:14:46 --> 00:14:58
			This punishment is too harsh. Let's lower the number of lashes. Let's give them a prison sentence
instead. This is more compassionate. This is more

00:15:00 --> 00:15:01
			gentle, Rafa.

00:15:03 --> 00:15:07
			So notice here Allah did not use the term Rama

00:15:10 --> 00:15:12
			Allah did not say Don't let RAMAC to,

00:15:14 --> 00:15:18
			to let you be lenient on them, because

00:15:19 --> 00:15:23
			give giving them this punishment for their sin

00:15:25 --> 00:15:27
			is actually rational for them

00:15:32 --> 00:15:34
			it is irrational for them

00:15:35 --> 00:15:37
			in that if you give them this punishment

00:15:39 --> 00:15:41
			then they'll change their ways.

00:15:43 --> 00:15:52
			They'll have gotten their punishment in this dunya and not in the Acura. So this is Allah showing
his Aruna to sinners.

00:15:53 --> 00:15:57
			So Allah did not say Don't Let Rama to overtake you.

00:15:58 --> 00:16:02
			Why? Because Russia is used.

00:16:04 --> 00:16:08
			Rama is used even for that which is painful. But no.

00:16:09 --> 00:16:18
			Rasa is mercy from all angles. It is something it is a blessing from all perspectives, it's
something good that happens to you.

00:16:20 --> 00:16:23
			And so when someone is going through tough times,

00:16:24 --> 00:16:29
			we say Allah is having mercy upon them, meaning Rama,

00:16:30 --> 00:16:33
			Allah is showing his Rama to them.

00:16:35 --> 00:16:38
			But we don't say razza we only use for

00:16:39 --> 00:16:45
			a blessing that is a pure blessing, a complete, you know, blessing that you see upon somewhere.

00:16:47 --> 00:17:01
			So that is the difference between our oath and Rahim and Earthman. And that is why that is why we
say that our oath is the utmost level of mercy and compassion.

00:17:04 --> 00:17:09
			As for a lot with a lot with it has two meanings.

00:17:11 --> 00:17:19
			One meaning is the one who is most kind and gracious. So along the same meanings as all of these
names,

00:17:20 --> 00:17:26
			a lot brief is the one who is most kind, and compassionate and gracious.

00:17:27 --> 00:17:32
			The other meaning for a lot leaf is the one who is most subtle.

00:17:33 --> 00:17:36
			And so look me in something that is subtle.

00:17:38 --> 00:17:41
			And this is the same meaning as a hobby.

00:17:43 --> 00:17:48
			Now, previously, we spoke about a hobby. What does a hobby mean?

00:17:50 --> 00:17:53
			The one who is all aware.

00:17:55 --> 00:18:08
			So talking about the knowledge of Allah, but what we said regarding a hobby, the difference between
El hubiera and El Halim is what well Aleem is the one who has knowledge of everything.

00:18:09 --> 00:18:12
			But Al Habib, is specific to

00:18:14 --> 00:18:25
			the minut and tiny and subtle things, that Allah is well aware of the tiniest of things, the
smallest of things that no one else is aware of.

00:18:27 --> 00:18:33
			So a lot to Eve is similar to this. It means the one who is the most subtle,

00:18:34 --> 00:18:44
			the one who, whose knowledge is my new and subtle, to the point where he knows that tiniest of
details that are unknown to others.

00:18:46 --> 00:19:01
			So how can we combine these two meanings? On the one hand, we're saying that a lot with is the one
who is the most kind of the most generous? And on the other hand, we're saying he is the one who is
the most subtle?

00:19:03 --> 00:19:05
			How can we combine these two meanings?

00:19:06 --> 00:19:14
			We say that a Latif is the one whose mercy, the one whose mercy and kindness reaches us,

00:19:16 --> 00:19:18
			without us realizing where it's coming from.

00:19:21 --> 00:19:23
			In the most subtle list of ways.

00:19:25 --> 00:19:33
			You see the traces of kindness in your life, but you don't know where it came from. You don't know
it's cause

00:19:36 --> 00:19:37
			so this is a lot with

00:19:40 --> 00:19:41
			us where Al Halim

00:19:44 --> 00:19:48
			and Hamid Al Halim is the one who is the Most Forbearing

00:19:50 --> 00:19:56
			the most kind, the most gentle in all situations and are all times

00:19:58 --> 00:20:00
			and so he is the one who is called

00:20:00 --> 00:20:01
			On and deliberately,

00:20:02 --> 00:20:03
			never hasty

00:20:06 --> 00:20:10
			even with those who are rebellious, and disobedient.

00:20:15 --> 00:20:18
			And so the opposite of that is being hasty.

00:20:22 --> 00:20:25
			And that's a trait of quality that many of us have.

00:20:26 --> 00:20:27
			Where,

00:20:30 --> 00:20:37
			you know, we become angry, and then we, we take out their anger without thinking of the
consequences.

00:20:39 --> 00:20:44
			Whereas al Halim is the one who takes into consideration

00:20:45 --> 00:20:47
			long term, the consequences.

00:20:48 --> 00:20:57
			And so Allah is actually the one who is calm and deliberate. He is never hasty even with his
enemies.

00:20:58 --> 00:21:20
			And so he continues to provide for them, he continues to shower His blessings upon them, even while
they rebelled, and they disobey restraining himself from revenge and punishment, giving them and the
whole point is to give them the opportunity to change their ways and repent

00:21:22 --> 00:21:24
			to reform themselves

00:21:26 --> 00:21:27
			to reform themselves.

00:21:32 --> 00:21:33
			So one example of this,

00:21:34 --> 00:21:37
			with respect to Allah subhanahu Attallah is

00:21:40 --> 00:21:44
			let's have a look dude, the story of us have a look dude.

00:21:46 --> 00:21:50
			That Allah mentions in Surah Troubridge. Where,

00:21:52 --> 00:22:06
			you know, these people had gathered the believers and told them and dug a huge pit of fire for them,
and said, Whoever does not disbelieve that will throw them into this pit of fire.

00:22:09 --> 00:22:12
			And they did what they did, they threw them into that pit of fire.

00:22:15 --> 00:22:19
			And Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions it in Surah borouge. Then what does Allah say?

00:22:20 --> 00:22:24
			In Nila Rena fatten me Nina when me naughty.

00:22:25 --> 00:22:37
			Sama mela Mia Tubu fellow who? Either Abuja Hannah mahalo whom as I will hurry there indeed those
who persecuted the believing men and women.

00:22:39 --> 00:22:50
			And then and then do not repent. For them is the punishment of the hellfire and a burning
punishment.

00:22:52 --> 00:22:57
			Look at how Allah subhanho wa Taala after they did what they did, and they deserve

00:22:59 --> 00:23:02
			to be punished for their actions. Allah still left

00:23:03 --> 00:23:26
			Allah still left the door of repentance open for them and has an old bursary. Rahim Allah to Allah
he says, Look at this generosity and this kindness, they killed the earlier of Allah and he calls
them to repentance, forgiveness. So this is an example of the helm of Allah subhanahu Attallah his
forbearance.

00:23:30 --> 00:23:31
			As for Rafiq

00:23:33 --> 00:23:37
			as for our field, it means the one who is most gentle and most kind.

00:23:40 --> 00:23:42
			The one who takes things easy.

00:23:44 --> 00:23:48
			He is calm, he is deliberate, he is not hasty.

00:23:49 --> 00:23:54
			And so this includes everything related to Allah subhanho wa taala.

00:23:56 --> 00:24:03
			It includes his decisions, his decrees, His mother, who he has decreed.

00:24:05 --> 00:24:10
			It includes his account his legislations, whatever he has legislated

00:24:12 --> 00:24:14
			of his laws, his legislations

00:24:16 --> 00:24:17
			and it includes his actions,

00:24:18 --> 00:24:31
			whatever he does, and so for example, Allah subhanho wa Taala created the entire creation, right?
Allah subhanho wa Taala created this universe.

00:24:33 --> 00:24:36
			And he tells us, He created it in how many days

00:24:39 --> 00:24:40
			in 60 days.

00:24:43 --> 00:24:45
			But he didn't have to do that.

00:24:46 --> 00:24:50
			He could have created it in the blink of an eye or even quicker.

00:24:52 --> 00:24:55
			Another example is our existence.

00:24:56 --> 00:24:59
			Look at how we gradually come into existence knowing

00:25:00 --> 00:25:08
			months in the wombs of our mothers, if Allah wanted to, he could have done it in a quicker way than
that

00:25:13 --> 00:25:24
			Allah subhanahu Attallah created everything in this gradual way. Due to his name Rafiq, his
gentleness and his wisdom

00:25:26 --> 00:25:27
			and to also teach us

00:25:29 --> 00:25:34
			to do things in a gentle, calm way, not in a hasty way.

00:25:36 --> 00:25:42
			Another example is how Allah subhanahu wa Tada has legislated. Well, he has legislated

00:25:43 --> 00:25:44
			it's all within

00:25:45 --> 00:25:48
			our human capacity and capability.

00:25:50 --> 00:25:53
			He hasn't legislated that which is

00:25:55 --> 00:25:56
			outside of our ability.

00:26:00 --> 00:26:04
			Now you can leave Allahu nefs and Allah Azza, Allah does not

00:26:05 --> 00:26:17
			burden us with a burden that we cannot bear. So this also comes under allah being a Rafi, the one
who is most generous, or the one who is most gentle,

00:26:18 --> 00:26:19
			and kind.

00:26:22 --> 00:26:27
			And so these are the four names of Allah, all related to his

00:26:28 --> 00:26:34
			compassion, his graciousness, his kindness, his gentleness.

00:26:36 --> 00:26:39
			And so we move on to the lessons that we learned from these names.

00:26:42 --> 00:26:53
			The first is that there is no one more kind or gracious than Allah subhanho wa taala. And so he
shows his kindness

00:26:55 --> 00:26:57
			to even those who don't deserve it.

00:27:00 --> 00:27:06
			He shows His kindness to even those who are not thankful

00:27:07 --> 00:27:10
			for his kindness, they are ungrateful.

00:27:11 --> 00:27:14
			Whereas we human beings, when we want to be kind,

00:27:16 --> 00:27:17
			and gentle.

00:27:18 --> 00:27:22
			We do it with only certain people, we don't do it with our enemies.

00:27:26 --> 00:27:29
			And so the kindness and the compassion of Allah has no limit.

00:27:32 --> 00:27:34
			The second lesson is that these names

00:27:37 --> 00:27:41
			when we understand their meanings, they should bring contentment

00:27:42 --> 00:27:44
			and peace to our hearts.

00:27:47 --> 00:27:48
			When life takes

00:27:50 --> 00:27:53
			a nasty turn, and things go bad.

00:27:56 --> 00:27:58
			And so in all of that,

00:27:59 --> 00:28:01
			there is the kindness of Allah,

00:28:02 --> 00:28:07
			and the gentleness of Allah, even though we may not see it,

00:28:08 --> 00:28:11
			even though we may not see it.

00:28:13 --> 00:28:18
			And so Allah subhanahu wa taala his kindness, and his compassion has no limit.

00:28:20 --> 00:28:27
			And so when Allah subhanahu aterna, you know, tests us with calamities and misfortunes,

00:28:28 --> 00:28:32
			we'd have to look at it as being the kindness of Allah.

00:28:34 --> 00:28:36
			And there are so many different ways of looking at that.

00:28:38 --> 00:28:40
			For example, it could have been worse.

00:28:43 --> 00:28:51
			For example, what the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has mentioned, that in every calamity that
befalls the believer,

00:28:53 --> 00:28:54
			there is good in it.

00:28:55 --> 00:28:57
			It is a purification of his sins.

00:28:59 --> 00:29:13
			It is a reminder for him to turn back to Allah subhanho wa Taala and so on and so forth. If Allah
had not done that to us, if he does not make us go through such calamities and misfortunes,

00:29:14 --> 00:29:22
			then it is like what Allah is doing to the disbelievers and the enemies, where they are living.

00:29:23 --> 00:29:25
			The comfortable lives that they're living,

00:29:27 --> 00:29:30
			and they're not being tested with hardship and calamities.

00:29:31 --> 00:29:36
			Because that is basically Allah subhanho wa Taala

00:29:37 --> 00:29:39
			you know, leading them to

00:29:41 --> 00:29:42
			his punishment.

00:29:43 --> 00:29:45
			And so when Allah subhanahu wa taala

00:29:47 --> 00:29:50
			tests us with such hardships, we should look at it as being

00:29:51 --> 00:29:55
			the kindness of Allah subhanahu ATOD and his Rama

00:29:56 --> 00:29:58
			and this is something we spoke about previously.

00:29:59 --> 00:29:59
			When we

00:30:00 --> 00:30:02
			walkabout Allah subhanho wa taala, the Most Merciful.

00:30:03 --> 00:30:06
			The third lesson is that Allah has

00:30:07 --> 00:30:10
			forbearance and his gentleness

00:30:11 --> 00:30:13
			with his enemies

00:30:14 --> 00:30:15
			is not

00:30:17 --> 00:30:19
			out of a lack of knowledge

00:30:21 --> 00:30:24
			or in ability to punish.

00:30:29 --> 00:30:32
			Allah subhanho wa Taala allowing them to go,

00:30:34 --> 00:30:35
			you know,

00:30:36 --> 00:30:38
			being kind to them in that

00:30:41 --> 00:30:41
			in that way

00:30:44 --> 00:30:46
			is not because he doesn't know what to do.

00:30:49 --> 00:30:55
			Nor is it based on inability to take them, to seize them to punish them,

00:30:56 --> 00:31:05
			but rather, it is give them respite as Allah subhanahu Adalja says, while you are at the law NASA be
Marchesa boo,

00:31:07 --> 00:31:09
			Mata Raka, Allah Allah Hailey Hammond dab,

00:31:11 --> 00:31:30
			that if Allah were to punish people immediately, for what they have committed of sins, then he would
not have left a single living being on Earth. Meaning that each and every single one of us, we have
sins we have, we have done volume

00:31:31 --> 00:31:36
			to either ourselves or to others, that deserves the punishment of Allah.

00:31:37 --> 00:31:52
			If Allah was to take us and to seize us and to punish us right away immediately, that he wouldn't
leave a single living being on Earth. That even includes animals, not a single living being would
Allah leave on Earth.

00:31:53 --> 00:32:00
			While rocky you are a hero, Isla jellema Santa, however, he delays them for an appointed term.

00:32:02 --> 00:32:07
			He delays them for an appointed term. And the purpose of that delay is

00:32:09 --> 00:32:18
			is in itself kindness, that he is giving them the opportunity, the chance to change their ways to
repent and so on and so forth.

00:32:20 --> 00:32:31
			The fourth lesson is that we should strive to acquire these attributes and these qualities and these
etiquette

00:32:33 --> 00:32:39
			of kindness, of gentleness, or forbearance.

00:32:41 --> 00:32:43
			And so Allah subhanho wa Taala praises

00:32:45 --> 00:32:53
			his profits for having some of these qualities by giving them that name Haleem

00:32:54 --> 00:33:05
			or Oof. So for example, Allah says regarding Ibrahim alayhis salam, Ibrahima la halimun. A WA
Hammadi, we need

00:33:06 --> 00:33:10
			there indeed, Ibrahim was Haleem forbearing

00:33:11 --> 00:33:12
			and Allah,

00:33:13 --> 00:33:18
			tenderhearted, and we need ever turning back to Allah.

00:33:20 --> 00:33:23
			And Allah describes the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam as being growth.

00:33:25 --> 00:33:33
			La caja a camera zoom in and fusi come, indeed, a messenger has come to you from among your own
selves.

00:33:34 --> 00:33:35
			Heisey is on Ali Hema and

00:33:36 --> 00:33:38
			he is concerned for your suffering.

00:33:40 --> 00:33:42
			Here Allah as described in the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,

00:33:44 --> 00:34:02
			he is concerned for your suffering head eel, sunnah Alikum and he is anxious for your well being.
This is the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salam and Bill Meena are all for him. And he is our oath

00:34:04 --> 00:34:08
			gracious kind, and Rahim merciful to the believers.

00:34:09 --> 00:34:18
			And we have examples from the life of the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. One example we
mentioned, the story of Irish Chateau the Allahu anha.

00:34:19 --> 00:34:23
			And so how the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told him to take it easy.

00:34:24 --> 00:34:25
			Not to be hasty.

00:34:27 --> 00:34:28
			Yes, they said what they said.

00:34:30 --> 00:34:31
			But don't let your anger

00:34:33 --> 00:34:49
			you know cause you to say something like that. Take it easy. And you know what the Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said in the Lucha Rafi, that ALLAH is revealed. You hipbone Rifka will
Enrico later he loves rift gentleness in all matters.

00:34:50 --> 00:34:51
			Another example

00:34:52 --> 00:34:54
			is the famous story of

00:34:55 --> 00:34:59
			that Bedouin who came and urinated in a corner of the masjid

00:35:01 --> 00:35:13
			And what happened was that the Companions who saw that they came and they wanted to jump on him,
they, you know, they started to curse him. And so the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam came and,

00:35:14 --> 00:35:22
			you know, he told them to calm down. And, you know, he told them to, you know,

00:35:23 --> 00:35:24
			throw water there.

00:35:26 --> 00:35:44
			And so the point is that we see so many examples in the life of the prophet sallallahu alayhi
wasallam that show us his gentle nature and his compassion, and not being hasty and not being hasty,
controlling our anger in times of anger,

00:35:46 --> 00:35:47
			and being forbearing

00:35:49 --> 00:35:56
			these are all qualities that Allah subhanahu Attallah loves, and Allah describes himself with these
qualities.

00:35:57 --> 00:35:59
			Finally, the last point that we can mention

00:36:01 --> 00:36:04
			is that we have to bear in mind

00:36:05 --> 00:36:06
			that

00:36:09 --> 00:36:15
			we should strike a balance and so our Dean teaches us to be balanced in everything.

00:36:16 --> 00:36:17
			And so,

00:36:18 --> 00:36:24
			while we be gentle and kind and forbearing it does not mean

00:36:25 --> 00:36:28
			it does not mean that we turn the other cheek

00:36:32 --> 00:36:33
			as is the case in Christianity?

00:36:36 --> 00:36:39
			And so that is why in our deen

00:36:40 --> 00:36:42
			there is both

00:36:44 --> 00:36:46
			compassion, gentleness

00:36:47 --> 00:37:00
			as we see in the life of the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, but at the same time, we see
harshness where harshness is required. As Allah subhanho wa Taala commands the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam

00:37:01 --> 00:37:26
			Yeah, are you Hanabi you Jahai dill kufr? Well Munna for your cleaner world Hello, the Alejandra or
prophet fight in jihad against the kuffaar and the mafia goon and Allah does not say just fight them
in jihad, and that's it was the Lord Lila you Him, be harsh against them. Use harshness when you
fight them.

00:37:27 --> 00:37:35
			And so this is what are the teachers to strike a balance between the two? That on the one hand, yes,
be gentle

00:37:36 --> 00:37:45
			and kind to those who deserve it in times of gentleness, but then other times harshness is required.

00:37:47 --> 00:37:52
			As Allah subhanho wa Taala says, regarding the believers, that they are what

00:37:54 --> 00:37:57
			they are, with regards to

00:37:58 --> 00:38:07
			with regards to the believers, they are soft and gentle. But with regards to the kuffar and their
enemies of Allah, they are harsh and stern.

00:38:08 --> 00:38:09
			And so

00:38:13 --> 00:38:20
			being gentle, and forbearing and all of these qualities that we learned today

00:38:23 --> 00:38:39
			we have to understand it in light of two displays qualities. And how this is in the middle between
these two displays qualities, what are these two dispraise qualities, the first is being neglectful,

00:38:41 --> 00:38:42
			being neglectful

00:38:44 --> 00:38:45
			that,

00:38:47 --> 00:38:51
			for example, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:38:52 --> 00:38:54
			said regarding our children,

00:38:55 --> 00:38:59
			to commend them to pray Salah

00:39:00 --> 00:39:01
			when they reach the age of seven

00:39:04 --> 00:39:07
			and then to beat them at the age of 10.

00:39:08 --> 00:39:10
			There are some parents who are neglectful.

00:39:12 --> 00:39:14
			They don't command their kids to pray.

00:39:15 --> 00:39:19
			Not at the age of seven nor the age of 10. So this is being neglectful.

00:39:21 --> 00:39:23
			On the other hand, the other quality

00:39:25 --> 00:39:30
			is the other dis dispraise quality is to do things.

00:39:32 --> 00:39:37
			To do things, to be hasty basically, to do things before they do try

00:39:42 --> 00:39:56
			to do things before their due time, and that's why we take the same example of this hadith the
Prophet SAW Selim said, commend them at the age of seven and then hit them at the age of 10.

00:39:58 --> 00:39:59
			You've given them that period of time

00:40:00 --> 00:40:04
			have to become trained. You don't start beating them at the age of seven.

00:40:06 --> 00:40:15
			And so this is how our Dean teaches us to balance to balance in everything that we do. And so the
point is,

00:40:16 --> 00:40:24
			the point is that our dean is a dean that came to balance things. And so there is a time for
gentleness.

00:40:25 --> 00:40:29
			And there's a time for harshness and each

00:40:30 --> 00:40:34
			when one uses each is based on the wisdom that Allah has given to you.

00:40:36 --> 00:40:42
			When do you use gentleness? When do you use harshness? It's based on the wisdom that Allah has given
to you.

00:40:45 --> 00:40:49
			And so we ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to grant us that wisdom

00:40:50 --> 00:40:52
			to use gentleness

00:40:53 --> 00:41:15
			when we should and to use harshness when we should we ask Allah subhanahu wa Tada to grant us
understanding of His Names, his attributes, and to help us to gain these qualities that we learn
from his names and his attributes. Well sal Allahu wa salam ala Nabina Muhammad, while early he will
be here Jemaine was salam. Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
