Last week, we went through a few names of Allah subhanahu Uttara that were related to
his forgiveness, and over for another fall,
last fall and at the web.
And so today in sha Allah Jota Anna as we approach the end of Ramadan,
we have three names
that are related to Allah subhanahu it's
giving, gifting
and bestowing His favors upon us. And these names are different than
some of the previous names that we covered
earlier on in the beginning of Ramadan.
When we looked at
the generosity of Allah,
so Allah being al Karim,
a Quran etc.
So that was from the angle of Allah's generosity. Today in sha Allah we have three names, talking about Allah giving and gifting and bestowing
his favorites upon us. So these three names that we have today in sha Allah or al Wahhab, elmen Nan and Al Marathi
and Wahab
elmen Nan and l Ma.
And so and what has been mentioned in the Quran so out of these three names only and what habit has been mentioned in the Quran,
so and what has been mentioned three times in the Quran
twice it has been mentioned on its own and once it has been mentioned with Al Aziz.
And so Allah subhanahu Allah says in surah, two early on Robin,
Robin attina, Robin Allah to zero Kulu Vana, the other it had Atena well headline AMOLED Yonka Urashima indica and tell what happened in the Intel Wahab these two are in which we ask Allah, O Allah do not allow our hearts to deviate after you have guided us
and bestow upon us grant us your mercy. Indeed you are al Wahhab, the one who bestows the one who gifts.
And in Surah Asad The name comes twice in the same surah
and so Allah subhanho wa Taala says in verse nine in the beginning
and the end the home Kazaa, you know Russia to Europe be catalyzed easily Wahab
or do they possess the treasures of the Mercy of your Lord?
The one who is Allah disease, the Almighty and and will have the Restore.
And Allah subhanho wa Taala later on in the Surah. So Asad. Allah says
in verse 35. And this is Solomon Alayhis Salam speaking,
when he says called Rob Bill fairly, were heavily wallkill Lyon bill really had him in daddy in until what Hap? He said, Oh my Lord, forgive me. And grant me a Mulk
gram your kingdom and an authority that will never be matched by anyone after me. And Allah did grant him that inner character will have he said at the end of his dua, you are alone herb.
As for LM Amnon
it has been it has not been mentioned in the Quran.
But it has been mentioned in Hadith
and
In this hadith, and Estrada, Allahu Allah he says, he was sitting with the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
when there was a man who was sitting and making dua, or he prayed, he prayed his salah, and then he sat down making dua. And so he said, This man, he said in his dua Allahumma inni, Luca, be en la calle Hemd La ilaha illa and
Alma Nan el Mina video Sunnah wa t what are the other jewelry will Crom Yeah, hey, you Yatta you.
So he made this to her by mentioning these names of Allah, by mentioning these names of Allah. When the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam I heard that.
He said, Indeed he has supplicated he has made dua to Allah, using his greatest name isn't a lava using the Greatest Name of Allah.
By which when anyone makes dua to Allah with this name, Allah subhanho wa Taala answers
and whenever ALLAH is asked by this name He gives
and
earlier on, when we started
these classes on Allah's names, the very first thing that we spoke about
was,
what is SML album which name is the Greatest Name of Allah. And we mentioned back then, that there are a variety of opinions. There are different opinions of the scholars as to which name is a great experiment of Allah.
And so, some said it is Allah other said it is high volume
and so on and so forth.
So this is aluminum as for a Marathi
again it has not been mentioned in the Quran. However, it has been mentioned by the Prophet sallallahu. Now
elmen Nan,
going back to Alma, Nan,
did the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam mentioned this name elmen Nan.
We just mentioned the Hadith, right?
Was it mentioned by the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam?
Is he the one who mentioned it?
No, it was, it was someone else. Someone else mentioned this name of Allah and the Prophet SAW Selim heard it.
Now,
the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is not restricted to his statements. The Sunnah is three kinds, his statements,
his actions, and the third is his
acknowledgments, anything that he saw or heard, and he, he ratified it, he acknowledged it. And this is an example of that. So the prophets also did not teach us this name directly through his own words, but he acknowledged it.
And this is why we affirm that this is the name of Allah.
Otherwise, as we mentioned earlier on, when it comes to the rules,
pertaining to Allah's names and attributes, we are not allowed to attribute to Allah a name, unless it has been mentioned by Allah or the Prophet sallallahu. It was saying, this is the rule. But this comes under that.
This comes under because the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam heard it and acknowledge it. He did not deny it. He did not say no. He is calling upon the law by a name that, you know, is not one of Allah's names.
Moving on to MRP
it has not been mentioned in the Quran, but it has been mentioned in Hadith. And so the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said when you read the law who Beihai urine if a clear who 15
that whenever Allah wants good for a servant, He grants him silk, an understanding of the deen
and so
this is among the virtues of seeking knowledge
and learning about our deen
and gaining as much knowledge as we can.
That Allah subhanho wa Taala he wants good for you if you have chosen this path.
So the Prophet SAW Selim says whoever Allah wants good for. He grants him understanding of the deen and then he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said well law who will appeal well Allahu Allah, Marathi what NL Qasim, he said and Allah is Al Marathi, the giver and I am al Qasim Doran who distribute
It's, I am the one who distributes.
And then he said Allah How do you set them said well that is that will have the Luminova, Halina and M and Harleigh for whom hedayati number Allah who are who are your own, and this ummah will remain victorious over their opponents over their enemies. Until Allah's order comes in, they will still be victorious.
So the point is here the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam attributed to Allah this name of Al Markley.
So what do they what do these three names? What do they mean? Basically, they teach us
that Allah subhanho wa Taala is the one who
is endlessly giving all kinds of gifts and favors in abundance.
And so he subhanho wa taala, is not bothered by
how much he gave us or to whom he gives.
He gives abundantly, even to those who don't deserve it.
Even to those who are disobedient to him, even those who don't believe in Him.
He is the one who is eternally giving.
And he gives without reason,
he gives, without reason.
Sometimes we may gift someone a gift,
because of something good they did to us.
As for Allah subhanho wa taala, that he is Eleni.
He is self sufficient, he is not in need of anyone he's independent.
And so no one did anything to Allah subhanho wa taala. In order for him to give them
He gives without reason. And without expecting return.
We when we give and we give people things, we expect them. We expect something back, maybe not materially but at least
at least some kind words, you know, you expect someone to say thank you, at least, that's not the case with Allah subhanahu Attallah he doesn't expect anything in return. Yes, it is expected that we worship Allah, because of what he has given to us. But that's not why he gives to us. And that's not why He created us, he's not in need of us. And so he doesn't give us in order for us to give back. Because in the end of the day, we'll never be able to match what Allah has given to us.
And then
Allah subhanho wa Taala is also the one who gives, without us asking,
he gives without us asking, and before we even ask,
and so we mentioned that Allah gives even to those who don't believe in Him.
They never asked for it, but Allah gives to them.
And without us thanking him after he gave us, so this is Allah subhanho wa Taala and Wahab elmen Nan unworldly.
Now and Wahab and Elma Nan
have been mentioned
on the scale in the Arabic language, there are certain skills
that you recognize a certain word based on that scale. So you have the scale known as Fahad,
alpha and
any word that comes on that scale, then it indicates an abundance of something
a lot of something
so unwell have an ailment, none are on that scale.
So it's not the scale affair. In
fact, it means the doer, the one who does something
FAL is the one who does an abundance of something.
So on the scale of file, it would be way ahead.
Right, it would be why,
but Allah does not refer to himself as well him, he refers to himself as Wahab.
And the same thing with manaan.
And previously we mentioned other examples of this from the names of Allah, like Rosa,
a Lhasa
a holla.
So when we hear a name on that scale, it refers to an abundance of that thing.
So, it proves that Allah subhanahu a to Allah bestows from his mercy from His favours from his gifts abundantly
and continuously.
That's what this shows us.
Now with regards to Allah's Name and Wahab
it has been mentioned in the Quran, in the verb for
in the verb form.
And what we notice is that whenever it is mentioned, in the verb form, Allah saying that he gifts that He bestows, what we noticed is that it is usually Allah telling us that he gifts and He bestows us
certain people
proving that when you are gifted something in the form of a person, that gift is priceless.
And I'll mention examples of this.
The greatest gift that you can be given is
a child,
a spouse,
someone who will live with you in this life.
And that gift is more valuable than then wealth, material wealth.
So let us look at some examples. What does Allah say to His prophets and messengers?
Ibrahim alayhis salam?
Well, we're having Allah who is harkaway Our group? Well, we're having the verb of Wahab while we're having Allah who is how cool we are. Could we gift it to him? It's hot in Yaqoob is how can then Yaqoob
and what does Allah subhanho wa Taala say regarding Musa Ali husana Well, we're having Allahumma Rama Tina Hall who? Uh Ha hoo ha Runa and hubby. Yeah.
And we gifted to him from our mercy, his brother, Harun, who's also a prophet
again,
while we're having Allah who we gift it to him, his brother, Harun as a prophet.
What does Allah subhanahu Italie say regarding Zakaria,
the Korea Aster wa for a child in old age. So Allah says faster jobina Allah, so we answered him faster Jebin Allahu wa we're heading Allah who will have in Allah Who Yeah.
And we gift it to him. Yeah.
Likewise, Allah subhanahu Attallah says regarding the whoo daddy Hey salaam, while we're having early the Buddha Sulaiman and we gift it to that would Salima and Allah says regarding a YouTube it has Salah
after he lost everything.
Allah says well we're heading Allahu Allahu Allah Houma, whom Rama termina
and we gift it to him, we gave him back his family. And we, we doubled for him, his family.
And so, you know, he was given many more children than than he had previously.
And this is why Allah subhanahu Attallah remind us
again, using the verb
of Wahab, he reminds us that
the gift of a child is something that only Allah can give.
And he gives to whomever he pleases.
It's not something that is in our hands. And think about it even in this day
of scientific advancement and technology. Still, there are people who Allah has left fertile.
They're not able to, to have children.
So what does Allah subhanho wa Taala say in this regard?
In the end of Surah, Surah Allah subhanahu Attallah says, Lila human custom Allah to Allah, to Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and earth. Everything belongs to Allah.
Yahoo Local nyesha He creates whatever He will, whatever he pleases.
Yeah, boo, and here's the verb, the verb.
The verb from what Hap. Yeah, Boo Lehmann Yasha.
Yeah booty mania shallow enough and WIAA booty mania shallow,
the core,
he gifts
He bestows.
whomever he wills, He gives them females
and whoever whomever he wills, He gifts them with males in earthen blucora. He gifts to whomever he wills, daughters, and he gifts to whomever He wills.
Sons. Not only that, then Allah says, Oh use a widow whom the Quran and what INETA
some people only have boys, others only have girls. And then Allah says, and to whomever he wills, He gives them a combination of both. He gives them boys and girls.
But not only that, at the end, what does Allah say? Why, yeah, gehele Roumania Shah who are Pema?
Can there be a fourth category?
What is the fourth category? Some he gives boys other he gives daughters and others he gives a combination of both. What's left?
Well, your general human yesha who are female,
to some he makes them fertile. He doesn't give them anything, he doesn't give them the ability.
Not that they did not get married, and try to have children no, they got married, they tried to have children but it was the decree of Allah for them not to have any children.
And that's why Allah ends the these ayat by saying in who I lean on cardio,
so that if someone asks Why,
oh, Allah, why? Why do you give to him? 10 children and me, not even one. Why do you give to him boys, and I only have girls.
Allah ends by saying inner who I live with cardio. He is the most knowledgeable
and cardio capable. It's not that he's not able to give you he's able to do that. But his knowledge dictates that he doesn't give you
it's a mystery to you, but not a mystery to him. Why he didn't give you that's based on hikma. It's based on a wisdom that is only known to him.
The point is, that Allah here chooses to use the verb Yabu,
which comes from Al Wahab to show us that the greatest gift, or one of the greatest gifts is to be is to be bestowed with children. And not just any children but righteous children,
righteous children, as for ALMA, Nan,
it has also been mentioned throughout the Quran, in the verb form. But what we notice is that when Allah says that he gifts by using
his name manaan in the verb for it's not gifting people or individuals or children, but rather, it's usually associated with the gift of Iman
and the gift of hedaya of guidance,
and the gift of being saved from Allah's wrath and punishment.
So for example, Allah subhanho wa Taala says Allah Demesne Allahu mana is the verb from Manasa naka de min Allahu Allah Mina is that if he him Rasul Amin and fusi her,
Allah has bestowed upon the believers he's been, he has showed, he has shown his favor to them, by bestowing them by sending to them a Messenger from among themselves.
Also Allah subhanahu Allah says in surah 200.
About
those bedouins who had accepted Islam
and Eman had not penetrated their hearts.
They had accepted Islam once Islam had conquered Islam had prevailed over Arabia.
And now they're left with no other choice but to accept Islam.
So they became Muslims without Iman penetrating their hearts. Allah subhanho wa Taala tells us
that they say to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, Yama, Noona, Angelica and assalamu Yama noon, this verb is mentioned here.
Yama noon.
They regard they're accepting Islam
Um as a favor to you.
Oh Mohamed
they regard it as a favor to you like they're doing you some kind of favor.
Allah says Say to them Oh Mohamed Coolatta Manu Alia Islamic who
do not do not regard your Islam as a favor upon me.
Say this to them Oh Muhammad
belly Allah Who You Are moonwalk. Alikum and her come Lily Imani enquanto in quantum Saudi
Allah subhanho wa Taala says rather
it is Allah who Yamuna it is Allah who bestows and has done a favor to you by guiding you to Iman.
If you are truthful, so the point here is Allah refers to the guidance of Eman as being a favor and a gift from him.
Also, the believers in the Ophira when they enter Jannah one of the things that they will say,
as Allah mentions in soup to toe for men, Allahu Allah ina men,
they will say Allah has done us a favor.
For men, Allahu Alina, Wawa Karna that have a symbol. And he has saved us from the punishment of the Hellfire. So what we noticed is that manaan is usually associated with
Eman, the gift of Eman, the gift of guidance, the gift of
being saved from Allah's punishment.
Now what are some of the lessons that we can learn from these names of Allah? First of all, when we learn
that Allah subhanahu Attallah gifts, and He bestows upon us, blessing after blessing?
What should this do?
And this is something that most of us, we don't do. This is This is why the majority of people
are not grateful to Allah.
And do not submit to Allah and do not worship Allah.
They don't sit down and reflect over the blessings of Allah upon them.
Think about it, everything that Allah has given to you.
You cannot even sit down and count everything. And that's why Allah tells us of this reality. We're interlude do not allow healer to so if you were to sit down and try to enumerate and try to count the blessings of a lot you can never do that.
When we learned that Allah is an Wahab
and that he is Elman, Nan, and that he is more outgoing. He should develop a love for Allah in our hearts.
And then this love should drive us to want to worship Allah,
out of gratitude for what He has given to us.
This is why people find the Rebbe to be difficult.
This is why our children
you know, you tell them to pray, you tell them to do this to do that. They find it burdensome, they find it difficult. Why? Because they're doing it without, without that sense of love, that I'm doing this for the sake of Allah, because of how grateful because of how kind and generous Allah has been to me.
Maya a badda of Allah is a form of gratitude, a form of thanks to Allah, even though I can never fulfill that gratitude to Allah, but this is the least that I could do.
When a person recognizes
the favours of Allah upon him,
this will lead him
and push him and drive him to want to worship Allah, out of gratitude, out of gratitude for what Allah has given to him. And that's why
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would pray at night
as mentioned in Hadith,
until his feet would become swollen.
And so, it he was told that ya rasool Allah,
all of your previous sins or mistakes or faults
have all been forgiven.
Everything has been forgiven for you, what has preceded and what is to come? You have been guaranteed forgiveness.
So why do you do this to yourself?
You know, he would pray at night until his feet would become swollen
from the length of his clear and praying.
So what was his response?
What was his response showing us? Why it is that he sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would pray,
and why we should be praying and and worshiping Allah. It's not only because Allah has told us to do so. It's not only because Allah has commanded us to do so.
It's not only because Allah will reward us
for doing so. But what is greater than that? He sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, if Allah Hakuna evidential Quran,
should I not be a grateful servant.
In the end of the day, I'm a servant of Allah. I'm a slave of Allah, should I not be a grateful slave and servant to Allah, for what Allah has bestowed upon me.
And so one of the greatest lessons that we learn from these names of Allah is that it should develop a love for Allah in our hearts, that will lead us in turn to the worship of Allah subhana, WA Tada worshiping him out of the love, for what he has done to us what He has given to us as a form of gratitude.
The second lesson that we learned from these names,
is the importance of
holding on to these blessings of Allah, these gifts of Allah, preserving them,
and not
putting it putting them at risk of being lost.
Allah has gifted you with everything that he has gifted you with.
And if he is the one who has given that he is also the one who can, who can take back what he has gifted to you,
when one of us we gift to someone, something, we expect them to value that gift
to use it
and not misuse it.
Imagine you gave someone a valuable gift that you know in your eyes, this is something very valuable.
Imagine you find out that he went and he, you know misused it or he, he threw it in the garbage. He had no value for it. How would you feel?
How would you feel?
So now think about a loss of childhood and everything that He has given to you.
Your life, your breath, your lungs, your heart, your eyes, your ears,
your hands.
All have these blessings that Allah has given to you. And then you go and misuse the blessings of Allah and you go and you use these blessings of Allah in Allah's disobedience
How would it was Hannah who Adelphia
thirdly, believing in these names of Allah should make us to turn to Allah into
asking ALLAH SubhanA Hua to add it to gift us and bestow upon us whatever we seek whatever we want, because there's no doubt
that in his hands
is the Dominion.
Everything in this world is in his hands. So why turn to others when you could be turning directly to Allah subhanahu whatnot. And this is why the prophets and the righteous servants of Allah would ask Allah subhanahu Attallah using this verb
that comes from Wahab.
So, they will take heavily
heavily means give me gift to me bestow upon me from the from the name Wahab heavily, also heavy learner.
gift to us. So either gift to me, or gift to us.
We find this throughout the opera. So for example, is a career and a salon. What did he say?
Who Nanika is the career of
the courier made to her to his Lord.
Allah Oribi heavy Lee Miller don't care
The Media Temple you better in academia
Oh Allah grant for me grab for me offspring give me children
also
so a man at his Salah
he said the same thing using the verb using the word head
and we mentioned this verse already
when he said called a rockville Philly were heavily heavily will lead you into heavily modal can lie on the really hadn't been daddy grant me gift to me
a kingdom that won't be given to anyone else after also
that to add that we mentioned Rob Danna law to zero clue vana that it had a Taylor wah
wah habit, heavy Lennar mill they don't care Rama,
Greg for us,
Mercy from you.
And also the dua of the righteous servants of Allah. Are you bad All right man.
One of their do has that Allah mentions in sorbitol Furqan. Will Adina yaku Luna Rob Danner heavy Lenna hebbal anatomy as well Gina will do react, you know Kurata
gift to us grant us
from our wives and our children that which will be delightful in our eyes.
So all of these do has shown us that we should ask Allah we should ask Allah by His name Wahab and we should ask him to gift to us to grant us and we should not be we should not be hesitant in doing so. We should not be hesitant in doing so. And so there is nothing that Allah cannot give. Obviously, in that which
Allah subhanahu Attallah can give to us we should ask Allah subhanahu wa anaphor Finally, the last lesson that we can mention
is that one of the greatest ways of preserving our iman and guidance is by acknowledging
that Allah subhanahu Attallah is the one who guided us and bestowed this Iman and guidance upon us.
And so if you want your Eman to remain with you. You need to recognize that you are a Muslim and a movement and a believer not because of your own efforts. It's not something that you stumbled across because you are searching for the truth and you came across it on your own.
And this goes for those who converted to Islam. So how about those who are born into Islam? You are not gifted this deen and this Iman simply because it was passed on to you. But rather you are gifted it by Allah subhanho wa Taala
you are gifted it by ALLAH SubhanA Hua to Hana. Once you recognize that, then you will always be turning to Allah subhanahu Attallah asking him SubhanaHu Attallah
to maintain this gift for you, to allow you to keep it
and not for him to take it away from you.
When we lose sight of this and we don't ask Allah for he died and we don't ask him to keep us firm upon Eman. We become deluded into thinking that you know what, we have been Muslims for generations.
Why would I lose my Eman? Why would I lose my Islam?
And yet we don't even realize in this day and age in which we're living, how so many Muslims have left the fold of Islam
whether they realize it or not,
whether it is in your generation or your children's generation or your grandchildren's generation.
So we should always be constantly asking Allah subhanahu Attallah to keep us firm
upon this Eman never think never think that you are guaranteed to die as a muslim.
Imagine the prophets and the messengers of Allah, asking Allah to keep them firm upon Islam until the day that they meet him. And these are the prophets and the messengers who are guaranteed that so how about us?
How about us?
emsella Marathi Allahu Anhu the wife of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says
that one of the doers of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would make the most was yeah Mckinleyville Kulu sub bit can be Ana de Nick. Oh Turner of the hearts because Allah is the One who turns the hearts
from Eman to Cofer or from Kufa to ina Oh Turner of the hearts keep my heart firm upon your D
if this is the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa salam, then how about us?
And so we mentioned that either
in Surah to gerat those bedouins who said
that we are doing you a favor Oh Muhammad by accepting Islam, and how Allah tells him, tell them no, you're not doing me a favor, but rather Bailey Lau who your Munna Aliko and had documented Eman. Rather it is Allah who was who is doing you a favor by guiding you to Eman? What does this show us? It shows us that Allah is the One who gifts us with Eman
and that's why
the believers when they when they enter Jannah
one of the things that they will say recognizing
the bounty of Allah
they will say that, you know what we have made it we have made it due to our own efforts due to our either either due to our good deeds, no.
As the law says, and so to RAF wakad will help do the law he lady had originally had
one equinor leader Teddy Alola and her done Allah,
they will say Praise be to Allah Alhamdulillah.
The one who has guided us
who guided us to this meaning to this agenda. He's the one who guided us to this Jana.
And if he had not guided us we would not have been guided
if he had not guided us to this, we would not have been guided to it.
And so what what does all this show us it shows us
that Allah subhanahu Attallah is the one who gifts, not only material wealth, but also the greatest gift, which is the gift of Iman and right guidance. And you know, even our good deeds that we do, we shouldn't think that we have been guided to do these good deeds on our own, but rather, it is Allah who has guided us to it.
And that's why when we are grateful to Allah, we say Oh Allah, I thank you for everything that you have given to me.
The Scholars say that even this, when you thank Allah, you are Shakur of Allah is something that requires another chakra. Why? Because Allah is the One who guided you to thank him.
You need to thank him for guiding you, to thanking him.
And that's why it's impossible that we will be able to truly thank Allah subhanho wa Taala for everything that he has done for us, and that he continues to do for us and everything that He bestows upon us.
So what we need to do is the best that we can
we need to do the best that we can. And so we ask Allah Subhana Allah to Allah, to make us from among his grateful servants.
And we ask Allah subhanahu Attallah to grant us knowledge of Him through His names through his attributes. Don't forget that we are in the last hour of Friday in which the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that there is an hour on Friday in which the DUA is accepted. Add to that the fact that you are fasting and the dua of the fasting person is accepted by Allah subhanahu wa Tada. It also I'll just remind everyone that after the month of Ramadan in sha Allah hooter, Allah, we will be continuing the series of a smart and Husna The Most Beautiful Names of Allah. Moving on to other names in sha Allah Jota Allah every Friday, at the same time after hustler in sha Allah, Allah
Allah, I ask Allah Subhana Allah to Allah to grant us benefit in what we learn Subhan Allah who will be Hendrik, a shadow Allah and still Furukawa to Blue Lake wa sallahu wa salam ala Nabina Muhammad wa ala alihi wa sahbihi wa Salam Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh
