upon the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him,

Today is the sixth day of the first
month of Ramadan, 1446, which corresponds to the

We will continue our lesson in this blessed
book, Riyadh al-Saliheen.
I ask Allah, the Most High, to bless
us and what we have learned, and to
forgive us our sins, and to forgive the
author and raise his rank among the high.
So, by the will of Allah, the Most
High, we continue from where we started the
last lesson.
And today we will be dealing with the
hadith of Abdullah bin Umar عن النبي صلى
الله عليه وسلم قال الإسبال في الإزارة والقميص
والإمامة من جر شيئا هو يلا لم ينظر
الله إليه يوم القيامة The Prophet صلى الله
عليه وسلم said, the Isbaal, going beyond the
limit, exceeding the boundaries, and these type of
things mentioned by the Prophet صلى الله عليه
وسلم, الإزارة, the lower garment, والقميص, the clothes,
باجو, you're wearing, والإمامة, the turbans.
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said من
جر شيئا من ذلك Whoever goes beyond the
limit, you know, in terms of how he
dresses or he makes them, if that is
done out of خيالة, pride, showing off, arrogance.
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said لم
ينظر الله إليه يوم القيامة Allah سبحانه وتعالى
would not look at him on the day
of judgment.
So this should be added to the hadith
of Muslims.
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said لا
يكلمهم الله يوم القيامة ولا يزكيهم ولا ينظر
إليهم ولا يزكيهم ولهم عذاب عليهم المصبر إزاره
والمنان والمنفق والسلاطه بالحلف الكاذب So whatever a
person does, if he is showing arrogance and
doing it in the state of pride, in
the way Allah سبحانه وتعالى wants, he will
be punished by Allah سبحانه وتعالى when he
meets him on the day of judgment.
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said رأيت
رجلا يصدر الناس عن رعيه This person says
رأيت رجلا يصدر الناس عن رعيه I saw
people rushing to take from whatever he says.
يصدر الناس means يأخذون عنه Whatever he says,
people take from him.
يصدر الناس عن رعيه ولا يقول شأن إلا
صدر عنه He would never say something except
that we find people rushing to take that
which he said.
قال قلت من هذا He said, I asked,
who is this person?
قالوا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم They
said this is Rasool Allah صلى الله عليه
وسلم He did not know him.

قالوا رسول الله So he went to him.
قلت عليك السلام يا رسول الله So he

Hassan bin Thabit when he was singing his
poetry Doing the Nasheed And Umar bin Khattab

So Umar get annoyed and he told him
what are you doing Hassan bin Thabit said
I used to sing songs like this In
the presence of Rasool Allah صلى الله عليه

fix it in a nice way Invite him
for a cup of tea Sit with him,
talk to him nicely Smile, sit down, discuss
some matters Indirectly put the thing, make sure
he understands Discuss the matter Don't you think
this is better for you to get reward
in this way Allah loves it And if
you do this, the benefit that you will
get On top of all, Allah swt loves
what you are doing I just want to
convey the message Put it in a way
that inshallah, he will respect you and he
will listen Even if he doesn't accept at
the same time, but the message is being
conveyed Trust me, whenever he sees you He
is going to have a big respect to
you We really need to learn this adab
and dawah Being a righteous person doesn't mean
you should meet your brothers with angry face
Your sisters with angry face Rasool Allah he
was not like that We are going to
see that inshallah in this hadith This person
when he came and made a mistake in
that prayer Although he went to the Prophet
s.a.w. and said Assalamu alayka ya
Rasool Allah Rasool Allah a.s. had the
adab when it comes to the truth He
wouldn't come to pay his respect to the
Prophet s.a.w. But the Prophet s
.a.w. told him Wa alaykis salam Irja'
fa salli fa innaka lam tu salli He
said wa alaykis salam But go back and
pray because you did not pray Yeah, no
matter how much he comes with his respect
But the side of Allah s.w.t
is more appropriate to be respected Right of
Allah s.w.t should be respected first
That's why the Prophet s.a.w. never
put the right of anyone on top of
the right of Allah These are adab we
should learn So this person said wa alaykis
salam ya Rasool Allah The Prophet s.a
.w. said He said don't say alaykis salam
Because alaykis salam is the greeting that the
Arabs used to use when they greet the
dead ones When they visit a grave of
a dead person they say alaykis salam They
don't say assalamu alaykum, they say alaykis salam
The Prophet s.a.w. said don't do
that Islam comes and swept that one And
taught us that when we go to the
graveyard Not just the living ones, even the
dead ones also We shouldn't use the old
way of saying salam to them by the
mushrikeen You
say assalamu alaykum Then when you are saying
salam to those people who died when you
visit the grave So the Prophet s.a
.w. said You should say assalamu alaykum Muawiyah
Ibn al-Hakam says I have never saw
a teacher like Muhammad s.a.w. Read
his story you will understand what Muawiyah is
talking about So he said I asked him,
are you Rasulullah?
He said I am Rasulullah Since
he is coming from the village He is
not with the Prophet s.a.w. so

need to drink water to live Because they
cannot drink the sea Which is a salty
water They can't drink that water It will
not help them in any way So they
said O Rasulullah Can we use the sea
water to make wudu What is the shortest
answer they need Yes or no The Prophet
s.a.w. said what Subhanallah That's bigger
than what they are looking for Meaning if
it is tahoor That means they can use
it for any shariah purposes Any type of
ghusl that shariah asks you to do You
can use that water because We are supposed
to use only tahoor He said Did he
answer the question of that person Yes, perfectly
actually But then the person received also additional
benefit from Rasulullah s.a.w. He said
And the dead animal of the sea is
also halal Did he ask about this question
No But the scholar said Rasulullah s.a
.w. realized that the man says I'm always
on the sea So that means they might
need food also So he gave him additional
benefit If you find the animals, the sea
animals Those animals that cannot live without water
When they die The dead one also is
halal You don't need to slaughter them Alhamdulillah,
ni'mah from Allah s.w.t You don't
need to slaughter fish You just need to
kill it Then boil it when it is
still alive Then put salt on it In
some places they put salt until it cools
down That's ta'zib Take a knife, cut
the head It will die very quickly And
then do whatever you want So that's Rasulullah
s.a.w. They want to learn teaching
method By Allah, he should take it from
Rasulullah s.a.w. Every single possible ways
and means to get the attention of the
audience Rasulullah s.a.w. is the best
in this regard And he uses real things
Not jokes and games and things which will
bring the attention But they will also take
the real attention to somewhere else Rasulullah s
.a.w. brings real things and beneficial things
So he told the man The man says,
are you Rasulullah?
He said, yes I am Rasulullah He says,
I am Rasulullah Allah, the one that whenever
you are afflicted by something which is harmful
If you make dua to him He will
definitely remove it for you Whoever
doesn't have the feeling that he has Allah
s.w.t on his side If he
is to ask Allah loves to see you
ask That's why it's always recommended that you
do the dua You can ask somebody to
also put you in his dua when he
is making But make sure that you are
doing yours Don't just sit down and set
a wakil to make dua for you You
will be a loser And Allah s.w
.t, you might receive anger from Allah s
.w.t Because he says The
power says He
said, don't you ever ask Ibn Adam Any
need Ask Allah s.w.t, the one
whose doors are never be closed And never
been closed And that's Rabbul A'lamah Allah
gets angry if you don't ask him And
Ibn Adam, when you ask him, he gets
angry So he says, the one that whenever
you are affected by something harmful If you
make dua to him, Allah will remove it
for you He
is the one that whenever you are affected
You and the community you are living in
You guys are affected by drought You know,
famine No rain So you have decrease in
the food Because of the little amount of
rain that is coming on the rain completely
When you ask Allah s.w.t, he
is the one who is giving Yeah, because
when we are affected by this Because of
our dhnoor What do we do?
We go back to Allah s.w.t
in repentance That's the first thing we should
do The next step is to go with
the imam To the open area And the
scholar said we go in the very normal
way Do a lot of istighfar Go to
the place and do the salat and istighfar
Asking Allah s.w.t to give us
rain To forgive us and help us with
rain Somebody came to the Prophet s.a
.w. And he said, Ya Rasulullah People are
suffering And they cannot go and do business
And the plantation and the crops are dying
Animals are dying Because there is no rain,
Ya Rasulullah There is no water Ya Rasulullah,
make dua for us And the Prophet s
.a.w. was on the minbar He raised
up his hand He makes dua And Rasulullah
s.a.w. said He says, Wallahi, there
was no small Any small tiny piece of
clouds in the sky The sky was clear
and empty He said, even a small tiny
of it It was very clear But right
after the dua of the Prophet s.a
.w. Anas said, then one piece of clouds
Appears from the Jabal Sala Jabal Sala, if
I'm not mistaken Is a mountain that is
closer to the place Where they dig the
trenches During the battle of Ahzab We just
see that one suddenly just appeared After the
dua of Rasulullah s.a.w. And then
it kept expanding Yeah, within a short period
of time The dinner became dark Allah The
rain kept on coming for one week Non
-stop After one week That man came back
to Rasulullah s.a.w. Either him or
somebody else He says, Ya Rasulullah People are
in trouble Cannot do business Crops are dying
Animals are dying Because the rain is too
much The Prophet s.a.w. said, Ya
Allah The Prophet s.a.w. said, Ya
Allah Take the rain to around us, not
on us To the places where the people
need it in that place Subhanallah, Rasulullah s
.a.w. said In front of our eyes,
the water is moving Just like that Rain
is moving out of Madinah That was Rasulullah
s.a.w. So this is Salat and
this is Qasas The Prophet s.a.w.
said The one that we always ask When
we are looking for the rain Rasulullah s
.a.w. is the one that sent me
I am his Rasul He
said, he is the one When you are
in a desert Empty desert Where there is
no life And your animals get lost Ya,
because these are the places of Mahalik The
Arabs In the past, they have this optimism
When a person Enters these Mahalik They say
The place of success They know these are
the places Where people are dying But out
of, you know, optimism They used to say
this If a person is sick, they call
him Salim What is Salim?
Healthy person They know he is sick, but
they call him Salim Out of Tifa'ul
Being optimistic Always being positive Whenever it is
possible for you To be positive in your
life It gives a lot of relief You
know Because sometimes when you too much Expect
evil It is going to disturb you a
lot And this is the attitude of the
wrongdoers The
wrongdoers When a person is A wrongdoer Always
doing the wrong thing You will see his
thoughts also They are going to be Always
he is going to have Any thought Any
illusion that comes to His brain about some
people He is going to trust that Maybe
this guy is planning this Imagine your life
like this When I approach you, you have
negative Thinking about him These
are all facts But Sometimes You hate Your
loving ones Because of the comments You got
from your enemies Nowadays about our Muslim brothers
and sisters The real enemies of Ours and
enemies of Allah They are the ones who
are telling us who is good And who
is bad and we agree We hate each
other because of this He is a Muslim
May Allah grant us A good and ability
to come back to the Correct religion So
he says the one who sent me is
the one that Whenever you lost your animal
And you are in that place Which is
the place of The place of destruction The
place of death And you lost your animal
He is the one that when you ask
him He brings it back to you He
is the one who brings Back your animal
Look at the lessons the prophet has given
This person on how to put your trust
On Allah and how to Remember that every
good That happened to you in this life
The source of that good is Rabbul Alamin
It is not your wisdom If Allah leaves
you with your wisdom You will never be
able to make anything In this world Whatever
you see This is none other than the
Favor of Allah bringing it to you If
Allah wished With all the wisdom you have
With all the skills you have You will
never get it That's part of our aqeedah
We believe that we have To use sabab
But we believe at the same time Only
if Allah SWT Wants that sabab to be
Active, it will be active When you are
sick You go to who?
Doctors Is it halal to visit a doctor?
Yes But who is giving you the shifa?
Rabbul Alamin Doctor is a means Prescribe what
he prescribed But at the end of the
day You do tawakkul on Allah SWT And
get the benefit If Allah wished With all
the medicines given to you by the doctors
It will never work I think this is
something We touch it, we live with it
How many times the doctors They give medicine
to the person He doesn't get okay Lives
like that, you go back home And sometimes
you get okay without any medicine It doesn't
mean that The doctor is useless, no he
is not It's just because Allah SWT did
not Decree that that medicine given to you
By the doctor will work at the same
time The doctor did his job But the
rest Is up to Allah SWT To let
it work with you Or to keep it
Away from benefiting That's how Muslims should live
Always believe in that Only Allah SWT can
make things happen If he doesn't want It
will never happen That's why it is part
of our aqeedah We believe that There is
no way for you to have I mean
For something which Allah doesn't want To happen
and you see it happening It doesn't go
like this This is owned by Allah To
have something in his ownership In his kingdom
and he owns everything Which Allah doesn't want
and it is still happening That's a joke
Everything you see taking place in this dunya
Allah let it happen If he doesn't let
it happen, it cannot happen He might not
like it But he let it happen For
wisdom And lessons people Are supposed to take
from it So the Prophet SAW Told him
this So I told him Please advise me
Give me some wasiya Advise me something that
you want me to be To be doing
