The importance of understanding the power of worship in the Arabic language is emphasized, with a focus on the "lay" meaning to worship the creator and the "monster" meaning to worship the creator. The partnership between Islamic Relief and American and local organizations is discussed, along with a brief advertisement for the book Somewhere. The transcript also includes a webinar on Islam, where viewers can learn about the church's values and receive information about their church.

00:00:05 --> 00:00:07
			Bismillah al Rahman al Rahim hamdulillah

00:00:09 --> 00:00:15
			Al Hamdulillah who aka file saddam, another Eva Dino Stouffer ha Susana city to city Mahatma

00:00:17 --> 00:00:21
			while early he was heavy handed about

00:00:22 --> 00:00:26
			for the last minute straight honorable Jean Bismillahirrahmanirrahim

00:00:28 --> 00:00:30
			in an houfy lady,

00:00:31 --> 00:00:32
			so the following

00:00:35 --> 00:00:39
			the month of Ramadan is a very special month in the Islamic calendar.

00:00:40 --> 00:00:48
			There are many virtues narrated from the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam regarding
this month being special.

00:00:49 --> 00:00:53
			It's a month of mercy, forgiveness, freedom from the fire of *.

00:00:54 --> 00:01:03
			It's a month in which the servant connects with Allah without any barriers, the doors the fire of
* are closed and the doors are opened.

00:01:04 --> 00:01:46
			The shell Dean are locked away. The scholars they say that this expression that the doors of Jenna
are open in the doors of the fire of * are closed. What that means is that the pathway to agenda
is easier. Now within the month of Ramadan, Allah subhana wa tada has given us some very special
offerings, some very special and unique things that can be done in this month. For example, for
those who are right before a thought, that something special with the month of Ramadan, similarly,
thought all we, when it comes to family, we know the Messenger of Allah was very, very particular
about standing for long hours, during the night.

00:01:48 --> 00:02:07
			And along to in addition to all of this, there was a there was a practice of the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam, where as Ramadan passed, he would become more intense in his worship, until the
point that when the last 10 days would come, the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
what

00:02:08 --> 00:02:57
			would would would lock himself and restrain himself to a part of the masjid and dedicate the last 10
nights of Ramadan to the Arctic off in seclusion, spending all of his time his undivided attention
given to the worship of Allah subhanho wa Taala. So there's this element of therapy, natural growth,
or the Messenger of Allah starting off his worship and Raja, and then that translates into something
in Siobhan coming Ramadan. That Ava is now in full fledge. Everything is gel together, the
thoroughly the prayer, the recitation of the Koran, the fasting and all of that. And then as time
passes, his generosity only increases, his worship only increases and come the last 10 days of

00:02:57 --> 00:03:38
			Ramadan shed them into who he would tie his waistband, meaning that was a sign of him being more
particular, more energetic, pushing himself even further shed the misora who as narrated in some
narrations tying his waistband, according to some narrations, that could also mean that he was not
intimate during the last 10 nights, he was fully focused on one thing and one thing alone. Now
amongst the scholars, there's a discussion that why was the Messenger of Allah in ethic off. I mean,
there are many benefits to ethic off without any thought, any doubt at all. Just the fact that you
disconnect yourself from people and your worldly engagements is a massive spiritual gain. But was

00:03:38 --> 00:03:46
			there something more the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was trying that the Prophet sallallahu
wasallam was trying to achieve from performing ethic off in the last 10 nights of Ramadan.

00:03:47 --> 00:03:54
			Regarding this, the scholars they say, one of the main purposes of the ethic of spiritual seclusion
or retreat,

00:03:55 --> 00:03:57
			was searching for and leaders of other

00:03:59 --> 00:04:17
			Allah subhanho wa Taala speaks of later than other in the Quran. A night that is greater than 1000
months, if the month of Ramadan is the crown, to the Islamic calendar, the most important the most
beautiful month of the Islamic calendar.

00:04:18 --> 00:04:59
			The later the other is the gem right on top of that crown. It's that night that actually brings
beauty to the rest of the crown. A very special night, the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam would exert himself to a whole different degree, searching for this native layer to the
other, because we're sitting on this night would benefit a servant to the point that they would be
beneficiaries of worshipping Allah for 1000 months, 1000 months as a whole lifetime. That reward can
be gained just in one night. Now finding little other is one of the responsibilities that every
believer has. We find it at

00:05:00 --> 00:05:15
			Other Night of Power, we worship along this power, and that's a jackpot. Now there's a big
discussion amongst scholars on how to find labor to other deed, when is later to other? Is it a
specific night?

00:05:17 --> 00:06:02
			Is it one of the odd nights? Is it in the first 10 days of Ramadan is in the last 10 days of
Ramadan? The truth of the matter is that I will walk you through some opinions regarding one layer
to the other is, however, it's very important to know that the scholar the scholars amongst himself
differ in opinion Clearly, there are 10s of opinions on when exactly is little color. So the first
opinion that I wanted to share is the opinion of majority of the molokhia those scholars who
associate with the medical school thought to habila those scholars who connect themselves with the
humblest school of thought many scholars from the shafia who are shefali and I will throw it and

00:06:02 --> 00:06:24
			other scholars, they say that later the other is in the last 10 days of Ramadan. They base this off
not one narration but multiple narrations from the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And then
further, they emphasize that not only is it in the last 10 days of Ramadan, it's in the odd nights
of the last 10 days of Ramadan.

00:06:25 --> 00:06:40
			Seven Maliki scholars have gone further and said that not only is it in the last 10 days and the odd
nights of those 10 days, but it is specific with 27th of Ramadan. Now the Hanafi scholars

00:06:42 --> 00:07:26
			they they right ignore everything as he says that later to other the night itself roams. It is not
restricted to one particular night. It's not just one night rather it rooms in the month of Ramadan.
And this is the opinion of Mr. mamani if I don't like it that it's not specific to one night, every
year, that night changes. It's that that latest we'll call their changes this night. It might be
21st one one night, it might be the 23rd another night, it might be the 27th another year so each
year that night changes. Sarbanes to students amount of humbled and amount of use of the law Holly,
they say it's Mayan meaning that it's specifically one night in the month of Ramadan. And that's it.

00:07:28 --> 00:07:34
			Mr. Tata Allahu Allah who was a great scholar, he writes that majority of the Hanafi scholars

00:07:35 --> 00:08:19
			are of the position that according to Imam Muhammad, and the amount of we use for two students of
amount of money from the lie that night of other than that of power is limited to one night and then
He further specifies that night, he says, and that night is the 27th night of Ramadan. And then he
attributes this opinion to even above the last one in a large group of Sahaba. And this opinion is
also narrated by Mr. Medina lining up with la YALI in his commentary on Sam Bahati. The third
position is the shafali position. They are also of the position that layers of the cloud can be
found in the last 10 nights. They are also of the position that it is most likely to be in the odd

00:08:19 --> 00:09:03
			nights of the last 10 nights. However, some sheffy scholars have preferred to go with the 21st night
of Ramadan. They say it's on the 21st night that one natives will call that can be found. Some
Jaffrey scholars have said the 23rd night and like this we can continue on. There are multiple
narrations when you study all of these narrations collectively what you find a few points. The first
thing there is no clear narration on regard regarding laser cutter being on one exact night. There
are there are many narrations that suggest that it may be one night and how we know this is because
one companion, one companion was once speaking with a messenger of Allah and the Messenger of Allah

00:09:03 --> 00:09:09
			said aloud to them, gave him guidelines to search for later to call them in the first 10 nights and
the last 10 nights of Ramadan.

00:09:11 --> 00:09:49
			This companion, he later on, finding the opportunity ask the Messenger of Allah which night exactly
and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that Allah subhana wa tada has kept this a secret
from you for a reason. So focus on searching for it in all of the nights. Similarly, there's another
require the prophets that allow audio cinemas on his way to tell the companions of the exact night
of data to other two people were fighting. And due to their argument, Allah subhanaw taala caused
the Messenger of Allah to forget the exact night. So the Prophet of Allah set of the companions
search for this night in Oman. Now, after setting these narrations we see there are many narrations

00:09:49 --> 00:10:00
			that tell us that that little color can be found in the last 10 nights of Ramadan. That's why the
scholars, even though it's good for a believer to search for later to call that every night of
Ramadan

00:10:00 --> 00:10:10
			they emphasize the last 10 nights because the Messenger of Allah, at the end of his life did attic
off in the last 10 nights of Ramadan searching for that made it uncluttered.

00:10:11 --> 00:10:21
			Now within these last 10 nights, the next thing the scholars have mostly agreed on, is that search
for it in the odd nights. There's a smaller discussion here.

00:10:23 --> 00:10:27
			When do the odd nights of late Ramadan start

00:10:28 --> 00:10:37
			the last 10 nights of Ramadan start with the 21st night of Ramadan. So you fast for the 20th day.

00:10:38 --> 00:10:55
			You pretty much at Uppsala, you do your thought. And that's when the last 10 minutes of Ramadan
start. So now the odd nights of the last 10 minutes of Ramadan are the 21st, the 23rd, the 25th, the
27th and the 29th of Ramadan.

00:10:56 --> 00:11:37
			Within these opinions within these nights, there is an opinion by the chef and he's held that it's
the 21st there's another position that it's the 23rd the most common position, as both the 90 and
the other Oliver have attributed to the students like mom hanifa Hola, Holly, and also to the Maliki
position, homily position. They also hold this opinion, that it's the 27th lateral Milan and they're
very emphatic on this particular that it is the 27th number Milan. And the only two nights that
remain are the 25th and 29th. And there are actually opinions on those as well. So there's a reply,
that's unquote, the Messenger of Allah said, quote, a search for the month of the night of power in

00:11:37 --> 00:12:11
			the fifth, seventh and ninth. And if you push those numbers to the last 10 days of Ramadan, that
becomes the 25th, the 27th and the 29th. So in summary, Allah subhanho wa Taala kept this night of
power as a secret. And there's a purpose and reason behind it. The scholars they say the purpose and
reason is so that you and I don't become comfortable, and just wait for that one night and ignore
the other 29th one Alon, Allah is always always giving us a chance to search for latent other and
all of the last nights in particular the last

00:12:12 --> 00:12:48
			the odd nights of the last few nights, those five nights it's an opportunity for us to exert and
push yourself forward. So we don't become lazy. And there are many things that Allah has kept as a
secret, some of the most beautiful important things that as believers searches for our secrets, for
example, it's one of them the great name of Allah, but when Ally's called with that was accepted
what is that exact name? scholars different opinion but we don't have any narration telling us
exactly which name that is that when we invoke a law with that name, while making the law or the law
will be accepted. Similarly, that moment in Juma in which was accepted the scholars different

00:12:48 --> 00:13:26
			opinion when that moment is Some say it's while the mom sits down between the two footballs, some
days before drama, some say it's after drama, some says before also some things after Also, before
mother live in the hijab, that there's so many opinions, but Allah subhanaw taala has kept it a
secret. So we search for that moment of law throughout Juma and we make do all day and the same
applies to the month of Ramadan. Another thing the scholars they say that had Allah subhana wa tada
specified the night for us, and had anyone ignored that night after knowing exactly what's not it
was, that would be a great disgrace on them. So in order to preserve our honor, Allah subhana wa

00:13:26 --> 00:13:42
			tada kept it Mohammed kept it vague, so we continue to search for it. I pray that Allah subhana wa
tada allows us all to be beneficiaries of the month of Ramadan, those who take away from Amazon, the
good that month of Amazon has to offer mela showers with his mercy

00:13:43 --> 00:14:08
			not allow us to leave them alone without all of our sins being forgiven. And on the day of judgment
when we meet our Lord we're less than a bit give our book of deeds in our right hand. Maybe read
from those who find the night a little cloudy here and you're again I mean a lot some huddle that
allow us to make dua to him to worship him to do good deeds in this night. Once we find it for that
awesome panel that accepts sort of love when I say that I'm humbled

00:14:09 --> 00:14:11
			with the light on Oh my god.

00:14:12 --> 00:14:53
			hamdulillah was Salatu was Salam ala rasulillah while early he was happy he Manuela big brothers and
sisters Medina children salaam aleikum wa rahmatullah wa barakato. Ramadan Kareem and Ramadan
Mubarak. As we are witnessing the second part of Ramadan I asked Allah subhanho wa Taala to accept
all the good deeds that we are performing in this last month of Ramadan, a month of four and a month
of fasting among people a little harder, a month of obedience, a month of mercy, amount of
forgiveness, and a month of generosity. This is a month in which a sudo la sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam used to be extra extra generous and companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam

00:14:54 --> 00:14:59
			told us that his generosity has been described as Carrie Hill morcilla

00:15:00 --> 00:15:43
			blowing wind when the wind blows, it takes the blessings to everyone who is around there. So I
remind myself first and then to you to emulate our beloved prophet Rasul Allah sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam in this blessed month of Ramadan. My brothers and sisters, I speak to you on behalf of
millions of beneficiaries of Islamic Relief. In 2017 Islamic Relief was able to help close to 12
million people around the world. In 2016 Islamic leave was able to help a little bit over 10 million
people. This has been a great blessing from Allah subhanho wa Taala. As we commemorate our 25th
anniversary this year, Islamic levy USA has been operating for last 25 years, I would like to take

00:15:43 --> 00:16:26
			this opportunity to thank you and urge you to continue to support the important work of Islamic
Relief. I have traveled to many parts of the world. Today, there is a huge need that exists in Gaza.
There is a huge need that exists in Syria, there is a huge need that exists in Myanmar, there is a
huge need that exists in Somalia. There are many other parts of the world where there is a need. But
the top four areas which needs our immediate attention and support are these four countries. So in
this blessed month of Ramadan, I urge you to be extremely extremely generous and support the
important work of Islamic Relief USA. for different people. Islamic leave means different things.

00:16:26 --> 00:17:08
			For Muslims, they take great pride in this fact that Islamic live is one of the largest Muslim
charities in the world. The government looks at Islamic Relief as forestar charity, our friends from
the other faiths look at Islamic Relief as a very transparent professional humanitarian
organization. But for someone like me who has traveled to many parts of the world, who has witnessed
manmade disasters and natural disasters, what does Islamic leave means to me when I see and interact
with an orphan who has not eaten for days, and suddenly he sees a full plate of meal in front of his
eyes, the sparkle that comes in his eyes when he sees that food. That's what exactly Islamic leave

00:17:08 --> 00:17:59
			means to me. When I meet sister who has multiple kids, and there is no income, and suddenly she
receives a box of food that can sustain her help her for a few days, the smile that comes on her
faith. That's what Islamic leave means to me. My brothers and sisters, I can tell you stories after
stories. I can share with you the story of Rosanna. A young sister 18 years old, she lost both her
parents father and mother. And she has nine siblings at home. At this very young age. She took the
responsibility of being a parent to her siblings, she's taking care of all her siblings, and she
could not take care of the needs of her household. So she seeks the help form from Islamic Relief

00:17:59 --> 00:18:44
			and Islamic Relief is helping her and sponsoring those orphans and providing support to her. I want
to take this opportunity to thank you on behalf of sister Rosanna from Gaza, who expresses her
deepest gratitude and thanks to all those who have contributed towards this effort. I urge you to go
online today at ir usa.org and be extremely extremely extremely generous. Our beloved prophet
Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam reminded as well he said, Hi to Nancy and Family Nurse, the
best among you are those who are a source of benefit to others. So today, the big question that we
need to ask is, what am I going to do to become that source of benefit to others? My brothers and

00:18:44 --> 00:19:29
			sisters, we live in this great nation of ours, where we enjoy so many mercies so many bounties of
Allah subhanho wa Taala. For you and me taking showers three times a day might be a necessity of
life. But for our brothers and sisters in many parts of the world, to have one piece of day to break
their fast is luxury of life. To have one cup of clean water to quench their thirst is luxury of
life. For them every day is a struggle for them every single day is a challenge. So my dear brothers
and sisters, I appeal to you to support the important work of Islamic Relief USA, a four star
charity, a charity that is well respected not only by our own brothers and sisters, but by community

00:19:29 --> 00:19:59
			at large. I want to conclude with this reminder that Allah subhanho wa Taala has reminded us 150
times in the Glorious Quran, asking us ordering us commanding us to spend in his band, while he
masala to zakharova coma rocky rocky masala to Sokka battiato la la quinta Moana mon will Valley the
near Santa was a horrible Walia Tama Wilma Sakina mahalo NASA was never a masala to Sokka so
matabele to Mila honey lemon, c'mon tamales one again and again.

00:20:00 --> 00:20:40
			And again Allah subhanho wa Taala is asking us ordering us and commanding us to spend in his span.
So please be extremely generous, please support the important work of Islamic Relief USA, go online
at ir usa.org. And give your cattle man and give your sadaqa and help our brothers and sisters in
Philistine in Sydney, Syria, in Myanmar in Africa and also many of our brothers and sisters who are
living in our own backyard over here in America who desperately also needs your help and support and
your attention. So please give your cattle melons a cuttlefish to Islamic Relief USA I asked Allah
subhanaw taala bless each one of you, which is located in

00:20:41 --> 00:20:50
			Santa Monica rahmatullahi wa barakatuh in Alhamdulillah mother who want to study olara suited clean
Amma God

00:20:52 --> 00:21:08
			the believer brothers and sisters is always looking for opportunities to please Allah subhanho wa
Taala the believer is always searching for those moments and those places and those people where he
or she can find a way to open that door to Jenna.

00:21:10 --> 00:21:47
			Here we are. We're at a door right now that the Prophet sighs send them said that has more potential
for you than 50 years of worship whatever you do on this bless at night of Ramadan. Yes, we're
talking about them Night of Power Laila to gather. Hiram and Alfie Shara as the Quran tells us, the
profit side seller has has informed us that this month this night excuse me, that this night, the
reward of worshipping any act done in this night will be multiplied as if you did that action

00:21:49 --> 00:21:51
			for 50 years consecutively.

00:21:53 --> 00:22:15
			The reason this happened is because the Sahaba the Sahaba the Allahu anhu. They the companions, they
went to the prophets I send them and they said Yasuda life's not fair. You know the nations before
us they lived for such long periods of time, you know, and and they could spend so many years in a
bada. And here we are, our lives are so short, how can we ever compete with them?

00:22:16 --> 00:22:31
			Allah subhanho wa Taala informed the Prophet so I sell him that as a gift to your oma, I am giving
you as a gift, as a gift, as an opportunity as a chance for me and you

00:22:32 --> 00:22:43
			to catch up to those moments that came before us. Allah has blessed us with this night of power a
night in which whatever actions you do tonight, this night

00:22:45 --> 00:22:51
			will be multiplied by 50 years. So here's the question what do we do on this bless at night?

00:22:52 --> 00:23:06
			Well, the first thing we do brothers and sisters is we look at the profit size center. We look at
the profits I sell them the Sahaba the the scholars, how did they use this night? How did they value
this night?

00:23:07 --> 00:23:29
			It's narrated about Malik been honest, that when this when the when the Knights of the last two
nights of Ramadan would come, and he would think the night of ladles of Qatar was there, he would
put on his most expensive clothes, the best itter or perfume he had. And he would beautify and
prepare himself externally for this great night.

00:23:30 --> 00:23:49
			But not just externally, but he was just preparing the external for the internal connection that was
about to take place in that special night, which was connecting oneself reestablishing one's
connection with a loss of Hannah who What's our honor?

00:23:51 --> 00:23:52
			So what did the prophesies lm do?

00:23:54 --> 00:24:00
			First thing first brothers and sisters the Prophet sighs so that encouraged us to spend these nights
in the masjid.

00:24:01 --> 00:24:05
			Spend these nights in the house of Allah in Attica

00:24:06 --> 00:24:35
			and in in ettercap Subhana Allah, if you look at how the prophesy Selim did etica he used to do a T
cap inside of a tent in the masjid. So not only is he secluding himself from the external world
outside of the masjid, but even in the masjid, he's even further secluding himself inside of this
tent. Why? Because brothers and sisters, this is a time of intimate

00:24:36 --> 00:24:37
			conversation

00:24:38 --> 00:24:59
			and onsea with your Creator, it's a time when distractions are put behind us. It's a time where the
only thing we care about and look for is how can I walk away from these nights having gained my my
lords pleasure

00:25:00 --> 00:25:04
			connection with Allah subhana wa Tada. So he would spend these nights

00:25:05 --> 00:25:39
			in Attica inside of a tent inside the masjid sallallahu alayhi wa it was it was. And he would tell
this a haba to a new Laila to the tilaka Laila, that look for this night search for it, meaning that
look, there's something very valuable. There's something that has extreme potential for you. Don't
be negligent of it. Don't waste it. Look for it. And then we're told to do what? Yeah, yeah, till
kelela to give life

00:25:41 --> 00:25:43
			to give life to the night.

00:25:44 --> 00:26:15
			What does it mean, to give life the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he said in one narration,
that the example of the one who remembers Allah, compared to the one who doesn't remember Allah is
like the example of the living compared to the dead, that the true life is the life of the soul. The
true life is the life of the heart, not the external life, but the life of the client.

00:26:16 --> 00:26:28
			So these this is the night when we give life to our soul. And how do we do that? We do that through
prayer. supplication.

00:26:30 --> 00:26:44
			Do I is our connection to Allah, to eyes our connection. It's when we raise our hands and we
tavolara we humble ourselves and we open our hearts. So the first thing we need to use this night
for brothers and sisters,

00:26:46 --> 00:26:48
			is to open your heart and talk to a lot.

00:26:49 --> 00:26:52
			Talk to a law in your language.

00:26:53 --> 00:26:56
			Talk to Allah, from your heart,

00:26:57 --> 00:27:03
			about your difficulties, about what you need Allah subhanho wa Taala help for, about what you
struggle with.

00:27:05 --> 00:27:08
			Turn to Allah. I shadow the Allahu Allah.

00:27:09 --> 00:27:14
			She asked the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in one Hadith that yado sudwala

00:27:15 --> 00:27:32
			are 18 lm two iE laylat in a little colored moku fear that if he or she asked Yasuda Allah, if I
happen to know which night is the night of power, what should I say? The prophecy Southern taught
her a very beautiful door.

00:27:34 --> 00:27:56
			The door is Oh Allah. Allahu Allah O Allah. In Naka Phu You are the one who overlooks faults karimun
You are the one who gives without people deserving to hibel Africa. You love to overlook faults
Yeah, Allah, far for me. So Allah forgive me overlook my faults.

00:27:57 --> 00:28:18
			This still teaches us a few things. It reminds us about the named two names of Allah. I for one
cutting a fool is the one who overlooks faults. Like the the wind that erases, you know footprints
in the sand by it blowing it's gone like it was never there before. kutiman

00:28:19 --> 00:28:30
			you are creamier Allah what is Kareem? Kareem is someone or someone who gives, even to those who
don't deserve. That's me and you.

00:28:31 --> 00:28:56
			And that's Allah subhanho wa Taala giving to us to help well, Africa. Now this part reminds us that
never lose hope and Allah never lose hope because why he loves to forgive, to hiball alpha, not to
have to either work not to head to head boo IDQ Alec No, not that he loves to punish you or loves to
put you in hardship to hit bull after all, a lot you love

00:28:58 --> 00:28:59
			to overlook

00:29:00 --> 00:29:03
			to wipe away our sins.

00:29:04 --> 00:29:11
			And the dog teaches us that he loves for us to do the same thing. Jani Allah loves for us to
overlook the faults of other people.

00:29:13 --> 00:29:15
			And now the last part of the doula is what

00:29:16 --> 00:29:41
			for me, after all of that, after recognizing that you are awful, including after recognizing that
not only that, but you love to forgive. Now the only thing left is for me to beg. The only thing
left for me to do is ask. The only thing left for me to do is raise my hands and say yeah, Allah
thought for me Allah turn that attribute and showered on me put it on me.

00:29:43 --> 00:29:49
			This was the door that the prophets I send them specifically taught for this blessing at night of
Laila Toluca make this to

00:29:50 --> 00:29:55
			make this to our to Allah subhanho wa Taala. What else should we do tonight

00:29:56 --> 00:29:58
			reciting the Quran.

00:29:59 --> 00:30:00
			This

00:30:00 --> 00:30:32
			is the month of Korra This is the month of listening to the call of Allah and Allah says in them is
that g bola Deena Yes, my own. Only those people will answer who listen. This is a month where the
ears Listen, the heart understands. So we listen to the Koran we recite the Koran. We let the Koran
come through our heart with understanding and without understanding there are both beneficial for
us.

00:30:35 --> 00:30:37
			Other than that, now let's move on to the next thing.

00:30:39 --> 00:30:42
			Test B and Vicar of Allah subhana wa Tada.

00:30:43 --> 00:30:52
			What are they going to llahi aka brothers and sisters before I talk about Vicar, I want to share
with you something from even a thought a scandalous hiccup.

00:30:53 --> 00:31:05
			Even a thought as Gandhi he wrote a book called hiccup, the hiccup and then one of those one of the
hiccups that he mentioned is it describes one of the wisdoms

00:31:06 --> 00:31:14
			in the various types of a bada that Allah has given us. Even Allah is escondida, he says, lemme
Alamin Huck,

00:31:16 --> 00:31:21
			would you then melon lohana laka apart

00:31:22 --> 00:31:30
			because Allah knew your human nature to become bored very easily from one type of thing.

00:31:32 --> 00:31:36
			He loved one a lack of a thought he

00:31:37 --> 00:32:25
			the literal translation is to give he gave different colors to the different types of a bada. What
that simply means brothers and sisters is that don't allow yourself on these blessitt nights to
become bored of worship. How? By changing up the different types of worship you engage yourself in.
Spend 20 minutes reading Koran, spend another 20 minutes reciting from the do eyes that the prophesy
centum has taught us spend another 15 to 20 minutes making your own supplication. You know, spend
another few minutes helping someone helping your family members do something. Whatever you can do,
you're switching up the different types of ibadah. Why? Because you want to walk out of this might

00:32:25 --> 00:32:54
			have been explained from mogilev because remember, it doesn't begin after tarawih This is a major
mistake our community members make Laila to other begins at the advance of Margaret whatever night
Laila to other is. That means from the moment Margaret comes in, the clock is ticking. Those moments
those precious moments are going by the sand is dropping through the hourglass from the moment
motive comes in.

00:32:55 --> 00:33:40
			So our job is from the moment motive comes in busy ourselves in taught all types of good deeds
righteousness because whatever it is, you're doing from Muslim till fudger times 50 years you're
getting that reward. So again, lohana ebben, Allah Allah Eskandari, Ableton Live US, Canada, he's
telling us what that realize that the different types of worship give you strength and protect your
heart from boredom. so busy yourself in different types of things. So we spoke about number one,
Attica spend time in the house of Allah subhana wa Tada. If you can't do that, so be it spend time
making dua to Allah subhanho wa Taala supplicating you can eat other than that reciting from the

00:33:40 --> 00:33:44
			book of a loss of partner who were to Ireland. Next, is still far

00:33:46 --> 00:34:11
			separating this as a separate type of ibadah which is seeking forgiveness for the sins that we've
committed throughout the whole year in our lives, realizing our shortness shortcomings, realizing
that this is a time that Allah is asking us to ask him, commanding us to ask him for forgiveness. So
specifically seeking forgiveness.

00:34:12 --> 00:34:17
			Next thing brothers and sisters making do are for the Muslim.

00:34:21 --> 00:34:23
			We are blessed with so many blessings

00:34:25 --> 00:34:27
			that other Muslims around the world don't have.

00:34:29 --> 00:34:39
			And one of the strongest means that we have to helping them and bettering their state is that we
make to offer them we supplicate for them.

00:34:41 --> 00:34:46
			I do arcilla home in the profit size of themselves. That do i is the weapon of the believer.

00:34:48 --> 00:34:58
			Another Hadid tells us that whatever do i do or that is listened to most is the douar that you
supplication that you make

00:35:00 --> 00:35:01
			When you're not in the presence

00:35:02 --> 00:35:23
			of your, of your brother or the person that you're making to ask for, this tells about the power of
law for those who aren't present, so you don't make a list of people you have to make the off for.
Make a list of people who have asked you to make to offer them and check their names off that list
on the night of labels or clutter.

00:35:24 --> 00:35:54
			Tell them the next day, you know, hey, I made sure I got you. I got your back, man. I'm gonna throw
it up there because I know that if I throw it up there, he's got you. So spend this night making dua
and supplication for those people who've always asked you bro make dua for me, sister, can you make
dua for me? This is that night where you go? Yeah. Now because what happens brothers and sisters
many times we start making dough. And after about three minutes, we don't even know what to say
anymore.

00:35:55 --> 00:36:33
			This is when we look through all those people who asked us to make dua, we look through all those
things that we've been struggling with personally, and all those things other people have been
struggling with. And this is the time where we humble ourselves. And we say y'all Allah, I'm begging
you, I'm turning to you. Please open the doors for this for this person. Please open the doors of
marriage for this person, please open the doors of sustenance for this person, please open the doors
of understanding for this person, whatever it may be family problems, what any types of struggles,
they may have financial difficulties, this is the time that you make those two items for those

00:36:33 --> 00:36:37
			people. So here we are brothers and sisters,

00:36:38 --> 00:36:40
			at this this special moment of the year.

00:36:42 --> 00:36:45
			And the worst thing we can allow to happen

00:36:46 --> 00:36:48
			is for this night

00:36:50 --> 00:37:47
			of tuck did this night of power to pass without us having other for it. Other means value. Don't let
les let will either pass and you don't have other value for this night. Use the moments that Allah
has blessed you use the life that Allah has given you. Every breath is a gift from Allah. And every
breath that you breathe on the night of power is a multiplied gift from Allah. May Allah give you
and myself the ability to use this night to gain closeness to him to gain his pleasure to gain his
River. May Allah subhanaw taala accept this bless it month from you. I asked you all to make to
offer myself and my family as well. And I am making to offer the Muslim ummah. May Allah subhanho wa

00:37:47 --> 00:38:21
			Taala accept this blessed month of Ramadan. May Allah subhanho wa Taala help our brothers and
sisters who are struggling in various parts of the world, and in this part of the world as well. May
Allah open our hearts to understanding the book of Allah. May Allah give us true understanding of
this Deen and the ability to live our lives according to the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet
sallallahu alayhi wa he was, he was well after that one and then hamdulillahi Rabbil aalameen a set
of modicum was not a lie ally wabarakatu

00:38:22 --> 00:38:34
			Islamic Relief worldwide history started with drought in East Africa, a call for help and an answer
to that call. Extreme weather has hit the region over and over since then, and it's happening more
often.

00:38:35 --> 00:38:45
			For the past few years, it's happened almost every year. Sometimes it's drought and famine. They
wait and wait and the rain doesn't come crops and livestock die.

00:38:46 --> 00:38:49
			Families are forced to move to look for water and food.

00:38:50 --> 00:39:07
			Sometimes it's flooding. Too much rain so fast that the hard dry ground can't absorb it. The
floodwaters destroy crops and sit stagnant, spreading waterborne illnesses. That's what's happening
now in parts of Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia.

00:39:08 --> 00:39:14
			At the same time, in other regions drought takes hold again, with warnings about a possible famine.

00:39:16 --> 00:39:49
			Islamic Relief USA is working now to mitigate the effects of this extreme weather. Whether it's
drought, flooding or famine, we respond to their call. assignment groups experienced teams know how
to help each time they respond with clean water, food and health care. Long term development
projects help communities predict disaster and families develop drought resistant livelihoods.
Strong boreholes, which deep under the ground to pump clean drinking water, and health clinics serve
as community resources in good times and bad.

00:39:51 --> 00:39:55
			We know what's coming for them and we need you to help keep them safe and sharp.

00:39:57 --> 00:39:59
			Don't wait. Answer the call today.

00:40:02 --> 00:40:06
			Islamic Relief USA 25 years working together for a better world.

00:40:10 --> 00:40:53
			Assalamu alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. I want to welcome everyone here to our webinar. And I
want to thank you for joining in and tuning in today. My name is Abdul Nasir on the lung instructor
here. And I'm the law. We're very happy and very grateful that you were able to join into the
webinar today. And hopefully, you've benefited from the webinar that was conducted here at Pelham by
our instructors at Calum, along with the support and the help of our friends and our partners and
good work the folks over at Islamic Relief. So you have been able to benefit from two of our
instructors so far, talking about different topics when the Knights of Labor to other occurs, and

00:40:53 --> 00:41:34
			what are its virtues and what are you exactly supposed to do? How can you make the most of it? What
I'm going to be sharing here tonight is an explanation atef seed, if you will, of this main surah in
the Quran that speaks about Lila to the other which is Surah number 97 surah to other the surah
about the night of power or the night of glory. There are a few other verses in the Quran that
actually do reference a little other and inshallah we'll talk about them when the topic comes up in
sha Allah. For now what I wanted to do was I wanted to start by reciting the suit on Arabic. I will
then inshallah share a translation, a brief translation of this hoopla. And then we'll go into a

00:41:34 --> 00:42:04
			more detailed explanation of the actual surah in sha Allah, Allah. So first and foremost, I'll start
with the Arabic of this raw lackey Rahmani Raheem in and Sunnah houfy laylat in other awma darra
kamalashila to other li la to la de hierro Min elfish tener selon la echo Javi Javi in Nairobi him
in Cali amor, Salah Amman here hacia Mata la fecha

00:42:06 --> 00:42:58
			we begin in the name of law, the the abundant, the Merciful, the constantly benevolent, he says, We
sent it down on the night of glory, what will explain to you what the night of glory is, the night
of glory is better than 1000 months. On that night, the angels and the Spirit descend again and
again, with their Lord's permission on every task. There is peace that night until the break of
dawn. This is a brief translation of disorder and now inshallah we'll move into a more detailed
explanation and to cede understanding elaboration upon the meaning of the surah. So first and
foremost, whenever we study any particular verse or chapter or sutra, I have the Quran, one of the

00:42:58 --> 00:43:02
			first things that we do is we look to see if there is any

00:43:04 --> 00:43:45
			what is called sub uzun circumstances of revelation that are authentically narrated about that
particular pseudo so we look to see if there are any stories and the narrations and incidents going
on during the lifetime of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, which talks about when DeSoto was
revealed what were some of the conversations going on. And that gives us a little bit more insight
into the meaning and the understanding of the surah itself. So when it comes to this particular
surah there is a narration that mentions the fact that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was
with his companions, he was with the Sahaba of the Allahu taala on him. And the Prophet sallallahu

00:43:45 --> 00:44:34
			alayhi wa sallam he mentioned to the Sahaba a story about a man from Vanessa he from the nations
that came before us, the people that came before us, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
mentioned the fact that this devout believer from the people that came before us, fought and strove,
and in the path of a law in defended the people for 1000 years straight. So he was a devout believer
who signed up to be a soldier, and he remained in duty for 1000 months, your reign and duty for 1000
months. And that, and so when the Sahaba heard that, they,

00:44:35 --> 00:45:00
			you know, we're not only amazed by that, but some of them expressed the idea that they lamented
their own situation and they said, you know, we aren't we don't live long enough. We don't have the
capacity, the capability to live that long, and therefore we're not able to serve God 1000 months
comes out to 83 something years, even though I'm going to talk about this in just a moment exactly
what that means, but nevertheless, like

00:45:00 --> 00:45:43
			We can just serve God for 80 years. We don't even live to be 80 years long. So the captain lamented
that a bit and they kind of, you know, wished that if they had more life and more opportunity, they
would worship Allah subhanaw taala more and they would serve their religion a lot more with their
lives. And so when the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam this concern was brought to the prophets
a lot from around that time the sutra came down, where Allah subhanho wa Taala said Laila to hardily
Hiram and Alfie Shanin that the Knights of power in worshipping, during that knights of power on the
night of power is better than 1000 months, which is what that man had done in that story. So that's

00:45:43 --> 00:46:15
			a little bit of a background to you know, the sutra and maybe when it was revealed and some of the
conversation conversations that were going on at that particular time. Now, what I will like to do
is inshallah try to go through the pseudo verse by verse in the first I lost 100, Allah says in that
Angela who feel a little harder, no doubt, most definitely, certainly, we sent it down, we revealed
it in the night of power, Layla Takata.

00:46:17 --> 00:47:08
			Now, Allah subhanaw taala is speaking in the first person here we, someone might have to question
that why is God speaking in the plural is God not one. This is called the Royal plural or the
majestic we the Royal we. And it's basically a tone and a style that is used to express one's not
only superiority, but also once benevolence and one's favor upon their subjects. And Allah subhanaw
taala is Campbell hockey mean, he is Rob Bula. Allah mean, he is the just of the most just, he is
the king of kings. He is the Lord and Master of all in existence. And so he speaks this particular
tone to us, his subjects. And so he says in that and Diana, who we sent it now, what is it, it's

00:47:08 --> 00:47:41
			referring to? We revealed it, we sent it down? What is that it's talking about? So the scholars have
mentioned here, and the majority of the scholars are of the opinion that this is in reference to the
Quran, that Allah subhanaw taala here is talking about revelation, very specifically, he's talking
about the Quran, Shadow Ramadan, because in certain buckler, Allah tells a shadow Ramadan, Allah,
the Angela feel that the month of Ramadan in which the Quran was sent down. And so

00:47:42 --> 00:47:50
			Allah subhanaw taala here is referring to the Quran that we sent down the Quran in the night of
power

00:47:51 --> 00:47:56
			in the nights of Laila to other All right, in the night of other

00:47:57 --> 00:48:44
			and then before I comment on this a more or less Fatah wa tada says, well, ma adara, Kemal ala to
other what may let you know what the night of other actually is the night of other, which is better
than 1000 months. So now there's a few things I wanted to talk about here. First of all, let's find
out what Allah talks about sending the Koran down in the night of cada. So first thing, let's go
ahead and understand what does the word other actually mean. So there's a couple of different
meanings to the word other, the first meaning of the word other is that a refers to something great,
something majestic, something magnificent. It basically refers to the other of something, the

00:48:44 --> 00:49:31
			majesty of something, the magnitude of something, the status of something, that's number one. And
that's a meaning that many scholars of the past have taken. Your mom Zoey, and many others have
taken this particular meaning. And they say that it refers to the greatest night of the year, the
most majestic, the most magnificent night of the year, Laila to the other. A second meaning of a
mother that also is understood in the Arabic language is that it refers to honor or dignity. And so
Laila to the other is a night of honor, it is a night of dignity. And the reason why it's referred
to as a night of honor or the night of dignity, is once again, as I was saying before, that, and one

00:49:31 --> 00:49:59
			explanation that's very interesting some of the scholars have given is that by worshiping God that
night, and by attaining that reward, and that virtue, a person honors themselves, whereas in it's an
opportunity to seek forgiveness where somebody might have been dishonorable where they were not
obeying a law not worshiping a lot, they can become an honorable person they can reclaim regained
their honor on this particular night. So that's how it also is referred to as the night of honor the
third

00:50:00 --> 00:50:48
			Meaning of each other that is also mentioned by the scholars is other also refers to predestination.
Now this is referring to in the Aki the sense, the theological sense, predestination, God's decree
for us. And so it's also referred to as a night of other than either predestination because as Allah
subhanaw taala says in another sutra, sutra number 44, in the beginning of the sutra is three
through five. So to the Han, he says in that answer now houfy laylat in Nevada cotton in Khulna when
the rain that we sent it down in a very blessed at night, fee high you for Roku, kulu ambreen Hakeem
all the matters that have been decreed by Allah Who is the most wise and most authoritative, those

00:50:48 --> 00:51:34
			matters are distributed during that night. And there are narrations to this effect that basically
tell us on the island of Layla to other responsibilities are also assigned to individual and
specific angels, that their tasks that they are to fulfill for the upcoming year are basically
distributed amongst them, and they are given out amongst them. So that's why the night of other is
called the laylat, or other is called the night of elkader. It can refer to the night of power,
Majesty, magnificence, greatness magnitude, all right. Or you can refer to night of honor, it's a
night for you to honor yourself by worshipping Allah. Or it can refer to the night of

00:51:34 --> 00:52:14
			predestination, that it's the night on which the angels will be assigned their tasks for the
upcoming year. And all the meanings are valid. And that is an example of the miraculous language and
the miraculous nature of the Quran. The Quran is so wise and God is so amazing that he uses a word
that has all these different meanings built into it. And it allows us to appreciate so many things
about one particular night. Now, the second thing that I wanted to comment on is a lot of talks
about sending the poor on dumb in this night. Now something that's very interesting is that the
scholars have actually mentioned

00:52:15 --> 00:52:16
			and they have spoken about this.

00:52:18 --> 00:52:23
			You know, in many, many places, many scholars have commented on this. And that is the fact that

00:52:24 --> 00:52:50
			you know, not only was the big revelation of the Quran initiated in the month of Ramadan, but there
are some narrations that also refer to the fact that as a fatty that the Allahu Allahu narrates from
the Prophet of Allah salallahu alayhi wasallam that the Sahaba Ibrahim the scriptures of Abraham,
were revealed in the month of Ramadan, the Torah, the Old Testament, was revealed to Musa alayhis
salam

00:52:51 --> 00:53:27
			in the month of Ramadan, the Injeel Alright, the Injeel was revealed to the Bible was real Tour de
la Salaam. The authentic Bible was revealed in the month of Ramadan DisaBoom, the Psalms of David,
were revealed in the month of Ramadan and the Quran, the Book of Allah subhanaw taala that we are
talking about here today was also revealed in the month of Ramadan. So a month of Ramadan is a very
blessed time that has been reserved by a law for the sake of Revelation, then unless there's one
other outcome related to other and that's a very interesting, you know, kind of

00:53:28 --> 00:53:48
			statement where Allah says that what will explain to you what the night of glory is, and what a lie
saying is that Do you even have the ability to understand how unbelievably amazing This night is?
And this is a rhetorical question it's a rhetorical device that is used in other places in the Quran
as well Ha, ha,

00:53:49 --> 00:53:59
			ha, hello party it will party I will carry on. So last 100. Last hunter Rotella speaks in this
particular tone

00:54:00 --> 00:54:43
			to create that understanding within the listener within the reader that I am on the precipice of
greatness. What I am reading about what I'm learning about what I'm hearing about, is something
truly remarkable, and I need to be filled with all and inspiration and gratitude, and really
understand how magnificent this opportunity or this moment is. And then Allah subhanaw taala says
Laila to Audrey Hiram and Alfie chaperonin. That the night of power, this night of power is better
than 1000 months. This is going back to that story that we talked about at the beginning of the
school, where when the Sahaba, the companions of the Prophet SAW some heard about somebody being

00:54:43 --> 00:55:00
			able to worship God for 1000 months. They felt, you know, envious, in a good sense that we wish we
could do more. And that's where Allah Spano tala is entering their prayers that you can worship on
one night that it will be better than worshiping for 1000 months. The last comment I had about this
particular question

00:55:00 --> 00:55:46
			portion is that whenever there you know the scholars, some of us don't talk about that, while
there's nothing wrong with understanding it as exactly 1000 months. But we also do understand that
in the Arabic language, classical Arabic, ancient Arabic, particularly, they had a style whenever
they would use a large number like 1000. It's like we take 1000s 10s of 1000s, they would use it
Thiede to basically talk about how huge how abundant, how plentiful, something would be, how lengthy
maybe something is. So by saying 1000 months is saying that, you know, where she went on this one
nights, is more beneficial and remarkable than worshiping for an entire lifetime, an entire

00:55:46 --> 00:56:18
			lifetime. So, that is a little bit of an understanding and explanation of the first three verses of
surah number 97. The first three iaat. And shall I'm going to go ahead and take a quick pause here
to allow you to inshallah, go ahead and take a little bit of a break. And because I'd like to share
a very, very important message with you about the work that Sonic relief is doing. So please check
out this message. And then we'll return back and then we'll study the last two iaat and finish it
the seed of the Surah sakalava.

00:56:19 --> 00:56:31
			Islamic Relief worldwide history started with drought in East Africa, a call for help and an answer

			At the same time, in other regions drought takes hold again, with warnings about a possible famine.

00:57:13 --> 00:57:46
			Islamic Relief USA is working now to mitigate the effects of this extreme weather. Whether it's
drought, flooding or famine, we respond to their call. assignment groups experienced teams know how
to help each time they respond with clean water, food and health care. Long term development
projects help communities predict disaster and families developed drought resistant livelihoods.
Strong boreholes, which deep under the ground to pump clean drinking water, and health clinics serve
as community resources in good times and bad.

00:57:48 --> 00:57:52
			We know what's coming for them and we need you to help keep them safe in Sharla.

00:57:54 --> 00:57:57
			Don't wait, answer the call today.

00:57:59 --> 00:58:04
			Islamic Relief USA 25 years working together for a better world.

00:58:06 --> 00:58:55
			Salaam Alaikum. Brothers and sisters once again, I want to express my deepest thanks and gratitude
to Harlem Institute for partnering with Islamic Relief USA. For the past several years lm Institute
and Islamic Relief USA has been collaborating with each other. So I want to thank the entire team of
Haarlem Institute for their awesome work and for partnering with Islamic Relief USA. My brothers and
sisters. I'm here on behalf of Islamic Relief USA to draw your attention and urge you to urgently
support our projects in Palestine, in Syria, in Myanmar. And in Somalia. Many brothers and sisters
last seven years, the war in Syria has taken hundreds and 1000s of lives. Millions of people are

00:58:55 --> 00:59:43
			internally displaced and many of them have left the nation. Islamic Relief has been working over
there and has been providing the important humanitarian aid not only inside Syria, but in the
adjacent areas. I myself visited come then a Lowe's which is at the border of Syria and Lebanon,
where we were taking care of several 1000 people providing them food on a regular basis. We were
working inside Zachary camp. That is one of the largest refugee camps for Syrians, which is right
outside the capital city of Jordan, Amman. And there there are 140,000 refugees who are living in
subhuman condition. I visited the Akilah hospital that takes care of individuals who have serious

00:59:43 --> 00:59:59
			physical injuries. Their legs have been amputated, their hands have been amputated. There. They have
serious spinal cord injuries. Many of them may not even be able to walk ever in their lives. And
here the medical equip equipment is provided by Islamic

01:00:00 --> 01:00:49
			Leave through your generous donations. But if brothers and sisters, this is a country that has been
completely shattered, it is a great example of a manmade disaster. A great nation like Syria today
is in shambles. And the brothers and sisters over there are screaming for help asking you to respond
to their call. So please be very generous today go at ir usa.org and help our brothers our ceiling
brothers and sisters islamically has already spent many million dollars close to $70 million has
already been spent on Syrian refugees and on our brothers and sisters inside Syria. I want to again
draw your attention to the important work that Islamic leaf is doing inside Palestine in Jerusalem

01:00:49 --> 01:01:42
			in August of Victoria hospital. The kidney dialysis machines are donated by Islamic Relief. Most of
the medical equipment at Allah Holly hospital is donated by Islamic Relief. yetta is a place where
every month 280 babies are born. And most of the medical equipments over there is provided by
Islamic Relief. My hero is Dr. hada and Dr Tessier who are serving at Al Shifa Hospital, taking
risk, working under very challenging conditions and providing the necessary medical assistance to
our brothers and sisters in Gaza. in Gaza alone Islamic Lee was able to put pipelines close to
15,000 meters of water pipes that is taking clean water to homes in inside cars. mothers and sisters

01:01:42 --> 01:02:29
			Please take this opportunity today to help our brothers and sisters in Palestine in Myanmar Islamic
Relief has an office in mcraven Rahim province for more than seven years, we have been actively
helping our brothers and sisters the Rohingya refugees in Cox's Bazar in Bangladesh, Islamic Lee has
been operating inside Bangladesh for last 27 years. They are a leader in providing humanitarian aid
to the Rohingya refugees who migrated from Myanmar to Bangladesh by dependent ancestors in 2018. We
are witnessing people who are becoming victims of hate, they are being persecuted because they look
differently. They practice a different faith and they have a different religion. So these

01:02:29 --> 01:03:10
			individuals are being persecuted. And in 2018 these people are being treated inhumanely. I can tell
you stories after stories, I can cry and I can make you cry. But that's not going to solve the
issue. What's going to solve the issue is your generosity. Its way Your generous donations is going
to bring a positive change into the lives of these individuals. Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam reminded us where he said, the buzzsumo Coffee when she asked me Casa de even a smile is a
charity. So today, the big question that we all need to ask is, what am I going to do to bring a
smile on the faces of these individuals who have almost forgotten to smile, but the brothers and

01:03:10 --> 01:03:50
			sisters, I can tell you stories from many other parts of Africa, where we interact with the young
orphans, I remember a young orphan by the name of Muhammad touray when I interacted with him, and
when I asked him, What would you like to become when you grow old dragon usually a nine year old
child will will will say to you that he would like to become a police commissioner, or a pilot or a
soccer player. This nine year old child looked into my eyes and he said I would like to become the
president of my country. So here is an orphan who doesn't have a father who doesn't has a mother who
receives a small donation of $50 a month from a donor in America. And this $50 is providing food,

01:03:50 --> 01:04:25
			clothing, shelter and education to this young child. But most importantly it is providing this young
child hope and this is what you are giving to these young children. Allah subhanho wa Taala reminds
him the Holy Quran where he says manzanilla z Yoko de la hora de hustlin for you die follow a
dolphin Casa de la jolla suitable a todo one who is he was going to give a goodly loan to Allah
subhanho wa Taala. So that Allah multiplies the reward into many folds, that is that love increases
or decreases your provision and to Him we shall return a great Sahabi by the name of Abu Dhabi in
Saudi Arabia and came to the Prophet salallahu alaihe salam and asked him or prophet of Allah, Allah

01:04:25 --> 01:04:59
			subhanho wa Taala, who is our Creator needs a loan from us Rasulullah sallallahu Sallam said yes, so
he asked for the hand of the Prophet sallallahu sallam, and with a lot of excitement he said, I
would loan my farm to Allah subhanho wa Taala Abdullah Anima sutra de Alon says that at that time,
his farm had 600 palm trees, it was considered as abundance of wealth. He went home and told his
wife, Alma, Daddy, let's leave this place because I have given it as a loan to Allah subhanaw taala.
These were the great companions of the Prophet salallahu alaihe salam who would listen to a verse
and would implement it immediately, but brothers and sisters today, I urge you

01:05:00 --> 01:05:42
			If Allah subhanho wa Taala has blessed you with a lot of wealth, please increase your standard of
living. But at the same time, please do increase your standard of giving Allah subhanho wa Taala is
reminding us in the Holy Quran when he says Roxanne when Allah humble mahcine do good Verily Allah
loves the good doors. So I urge you to go online now at ir usa.org. I are usa.org and support the
important work of Islamic Relief that has been doing this important humanitarian work for past 25
years. May Allah bless each one of you may have lost except all the good deeds that you're
performing in this last month of Ramadan. Please be very generous. Go online at ir usa.org and give

01:05:42 --> 01:05:50
			your cattle mal give your Sahar give your IRA to Islamic Relief USA May Allah bless all of you,
which is a common law Hara Salaam Alaikum.

01:05:51 --> 01:06:06
			salaam aleikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatu. Welcome back. inshallah. Let's go ahead and finish the
study of the sutra. So we'll start with number four. Allah subhanaw taala says Tennyson's illuma aka
Toro huffy ha be in Nairobi, him in Cali ama, Allah Spano tala starts off by saying

01:06:08 --> 01:06:49
			that the angels descend the angels come down. Now very quickly, I'm going to get into a little bit
of nuance here. So I want you all to just bear with me in sha Allah. xS Zulu, is actually the is an
abbreviation. That which is very fascinating in abbreviate words in the Arabic language, like we
sometimes do, like we have like contractions and certain abbreviations in English. But we usually
moreso abbreviate them in writing not so much in speech, like when you write when you say January,
and you write January, you just write j A n, but we don't necessarily say Jan, right, we say
January, but we abbreviate in writing. So in that way, in the Arabic language, you can even

01:06:49 --> 01:07:34
			abbreviate because Arabic was primarily a spoken language. It was an oral tradition, not a written
one. It had writing but the primary function of Arabic was in speaking, and so they would abbreviate
things when even speaking them. The full scope of the word, tena Zulu is Tatianna Zulu. Now, as you
can hear, even when I say that, that 10 has to cut down on their reputation and a little bit of the
the difficulty that there might be in saying it, it's a bit, you know, cumbersome on the tongue, but
they would abbreviate it and they would say, tena Zulu 10 tennis celluma equal to what rojava. So
the angels that come down Now, again, it's abbreviated for our ease, but the scholars talk about

01:07:34 --> 01:07:52
			more so where the Quran does abbreviate things, and sometimes it doesn't. Why does Allah abbreviate
the word tennis elbow here when talking about the angels coming down, but there's another pseudo
pseudo number 41. So facilites we're allies talking about the angels coming down, but he does not
abbreviated, he says, 10 as blue here, he says 10.

01:07:54 --> 01:08:35
			All right, and both places are talking about angels coming down. And so the scholars point that this
is the eloquence of the Quran, the place where God talks about where Allah speaks about the angels
coming down, and he does not abbreviate it. Allah subhanaw taala is talking about the angels coming
down at the time of a person's death during a person's janazah to welcome a person into the
afterlife. And the place where Allah subhanaw taala does not abbreviate it. He's talking about the
little cottage the night of power, and the scholars say that they reiation the smaller word
represents the more limited opportunity. The larger word represents the more abundant greater

01:08:35 --> 01:08:45
			opportunity because people die every day. And so those angels are coming down every day, versus the
night of power only happens once every year.

01:08:46 --> 01:09:20
			So it's abbreviated, so hon Allah. So Allah says Xs Zulu alma aikatsu. Malacca refers to the angels
the angels come down, and the angels coming down is a sign of mercy, by the way, because they bring
the mercy, the blessing, the forgiveness, the kindness, the good news from Allah subhanaw taala.
What do who end the spirit comes down? What is the spirit refer to majority of the scholars of the
Quran the first Iran are of the opinion that this is in reference to the angel gibreel Ali Salaam,
the angel Gabriel

01:09:21 --> 01:10:00
			that this is a reference to him, because now somebody might say that why is he being mentioned
separately than all the other angels? Why say tennis alone likely to already includes him? Why does
he have to mention separately? That's as if there was a room full of students. And one of those
students is named Khalid and I say john to lab the students came with Khalid and Khalid first
question would be was in college, the student Why are you saying his name separately? While the idea
of saying him separately does not necessarily mean to exclude him, but sometimes it can mean to
highlight him all right. And in this particular instance, it is hi

01:10:00 --> 01:10:43
			Highly highlighting the presence of Djibouti and Adi Salaam. As the majesty in the magnitude of this
night fee ha, they come down in this night, we interrupt him with the permission of their Lord in
their master. Now that is already something that's also something someone could say, can be assumed,
of course, everything is by the permission the will of Allah. Why did it specifically mentioned
that? There's two reasons here number one, again, to emphasize the fact that as majestic and as
powerful and as remarkable as his creations are, these these angels are even they are completely
bound to the will and to the permission of Allah who Subhanahu wa Tada. They are completely enslaved

01:10:43 --> 01:11:32
			to God and to Allah and cannot do anything without Allahu Subhan Allah tala has permission and will
number two in another place in the Quran, Allah subhanho wa Taala actually says Walmart and Walmart
nutana Zilla lab amblyopic this is in sort of Maria COVID-19 when there was a question from the
companions and from the prophets a lot as well of wanting you know God Ravi, Santa come more
frequently bring more revelation for the angels to come down more often. The verse of sort of
mediums around the 19 was revealed, or mine that Xs Zulu, Ellerbee and Robic that we do not come
down except by the will and the permission of your Lord of Allah. And so, this is clarifying that

01:11:32 --> 01:11:32
			here

01:11:33 --> 01:11:37
			they are here with the permission of their Lord min Cooley ambreen.

01:11:39 --> 01:12:28
			And it mentions that with along with every single command along with every single command, and this
is what I was referring to earlier, and that is that they are coming down with the command with the
tasks with the assignments that have been given to them for that coming year from Allah subhanaw
taala by Allah subhanaw taala on that night of power, and then Allah subhanaw taala says Salah moon
here, peaceful it is. And this is normally it's he SLM it is peaceful, but when you reverse it,
right in English, I sound like Yoda when I reverse it peaceful it is. But the objective Quran does
not sound like Yoda. In the Arabic language. When you flip from here salon, it is peaceful to

01:12:28 --> 01:12:47
			peaceful it is it creates emphasis and as if to say there is nothing more peaceful, more tranquil,
more amazing, more fulfilling than the night of other than the night of power and worshipping on the
night of our salon here had Mattila

01:12:48 --> 01:13:32
			and it shall remain peaceful until the break of dawn, that this piece is there and present until the
morning comes until the break of dawn. Now, of course you've had a conversation you've learned today
about you know when the night of power is when do we search for it? When do we seek it. And of
course, you came to understand and realize that the real objective at the end of the day is to
actually seek it into worship as much as you can, because then you'll end up getting it you also
have de la had a very beneficial session we shake McHale today in which he spoke to you about what
you can do during the night how to worship what to worship, how to do. What I wanted to conclude

01:13:32 --> 01:13:37
			here on is of course they've said it better than I could.

01:13:38 --> 01:14:17
			But I wanted to share one little thing. In the Sahih Muslim Earth monument often with the Allahu
taala Anima mentioned that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that our person affirms his
or Isha prayer in giovane congregation, he attains the blessings of spending half the night in
worship. And if you've performed the federal prayer in congregation, he'll attain the blessings of
spending the entire night in caught in worship and devotion. So if you pray your shot half the night
and then you pray fudger it says if you worship the whole night, now I am not telling someone or
discouraging anyone from worshipping during the night actually. But what I did want to say is that I

01:14:17 --> 01:14:56
			understand a lot of folks are working a lot of folks have a lot of things going on. And so they
might not be able to pull an all nighter and go to the masjid and be in the budget all night long.
Every single one of the last 10 nights or even the odd nights or whatever. At least go to the masjid
prayer a shot while you're there, stay for a couple of seconds units of therapy to for maybe six,
maybe eight. Okay, but just stay for a little bit, even two records for a cause. Go home, go to
sleep, wake up first. And then try to go to the budget and praise pray fudger in the drama for these
last 10 days and you will get that reward. The second thing is just reading a little bit of Quran

01:14:56 --> 01:15:00
			when you wake up for sohar wake up maybe five minute

01:15:00 --> 01:15:11
			It's 10 minutes earlier than you normally would for food, read a little bit of color on and make
some dough. Ah. And third thing is, of course, one of the themes here of our gathering in our
webinar here today. And that is

01:15:12 --> 01:15:53
			giving sadaqa and zakaat and spending in the path in the way of Allah subhanaw taala and donating
your money towards a good charitable cause. That even giving some soda during the night, as you
might say, how does that exactly work, you know, having this other box, and just putting something
in it during the nighttime, and seeing how much accumulating gathers at the end of those 10 days are
at the end of the month. And then donating that, logging on to Islamic Relief and making a donation
there goes a really, really, really long way. And that way you're accumulating that reward every
single night of giving the sadaqa ensuring that in sha Allah, you did good righteous deeds on the

01:15:53 --> 01:16:31
			night of power. On the other hand, last one with Allah grant us all the ability to worship only
little other the night of power. I want to thank everyone for tuning into our webinar today. I hope
that this was a source of benefit to you in sha Allah. There's a ton of resources here for your
benefit column. Go over to our podcast, we launched this Ramadan, a special podcast that focuses on
or Anoop reflections, it's your chance to come closer to the Quran. And check out a number of the
other resources, whether it be column Connect classes, or some of our intensives. But check out all
the resources we have for you here at alone. And remember, before you leave this webinar before you

01:16:31 --> 01:16:56
			log off, make sure you go over to Islamic Relief and that you do not only what you can do, but go
beyond what you can do. Because Allah subhanaw taala has been very kind and very generous and very
gracious to us. So the least that we can do is do some good with all that blessing that Ally's given
us. Does that come along later on. Once again, thank you for tuning in. I look forward to seeing you
at our next webinar was Salaam Alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
