Said, with regards to the prophet sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam, his speech and his other
habits how he used to
do what he did.
There's a line from
the previous
from the previous portion that we skipped over.
So we'll go over it right now.
When it talks about the speech of the
prophet
that, he used to be very concerned about
people's needs and he would inquire about the
needs of the people who came to him
and the needs of those who were who
weren't able to come to him that the
people knew about, and he would give everybody
with accordance to their their their virtue and
their rank in society
and help them to fulfill their needs according
to that virtue and according to that rank.
And it's said about his speech,
That he used to talk about the people's
needs. In fact,
nothing would be mentioned in in in front
of him during this time that he made
for the public except for the needs of
people, and he wouldn't speak about other than
that even if people were to speak about
it at that time.
So moving on, Sayed Al Hasan says,
about how people would leave from from him,
how he would leave the people.
The Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam
he
used to hold back or protect his tongue
sallallahu alaihi wasallam. Not protect, I mean he
would
withhold his tongue or or or fort you
know, put lock it up in his mouth
sallallahu alaihi wa sallam
except for for that speech which is relevant
to the people who are coming to him
at the time.
He used to say to them those things
that would keep them together, and he would
not,
say to them those things that would drive
them away.
He would honor the,
the noble people of every, qaum of every
people,
and he would give them authority over his
people.
And this is one of the beautiful things
about Islam
that when the messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi
wa sallam when the people would come and
accept Islam at his hands, He didn't use
to uh-uh you know jar the system for
no reason.
If everything was working properly
then the system that was there before Islam
would be the system that would run-in Islam
as well unless there was a a dire
need in order to change something.
So he would honor the people who are
honored in Jahiliya amongst the Qom. He would
honor them in Islam, and he would allow
them to keep their positions of authority.
He was, he was very cautious with regards
to dealing with people.
He was very cautious
with dealing with people, but not so much
so
to,
you know, to withhold the the
showing of happiness or of.
A person should be careful when they talk
to other people and talk to them, but
they shouldn't be so,
conspiratorial
or afraid of everybody,
being out to get them or out to
harm them to the point where they're not
allowed to show a smiling face or not,
able to,
show good akhlaq to people. And so that's
what he did. He used to have a
fine balance. He was very cautious because he
you don't know who's coming to you for
what reason, what are they, you know, what
do they want? They're saying one thing. What
do they intend? What is the outcome gonna
be of you meeting with them and talking
to them? Oftentimes, you know, people want to
do something good and want to deal with
other people in a good way and it
ends in a bad way. So he's very
cautious. He didn't need to just, rush headlong
into whatever people are saying to him. But
at the same time, he wouldn't allow that
cautiousness to make him withhold his happiness from
people or his good character from people.
If his one of his companions wasn't present,
he would feel the presence of the person.
He wasn't oblivious of those around him rather.
He'd ask about people who weren't present, which
is good. Oftentimes, what we do is that,
brother, you didn't come to the Masjid lately,
man. Well, you okay, man? You okay, brother?
You ain't reading Fajr. You ain't reading whatever,
you know, in the Masjid. Well, you know,
oftentimes, people do they don't ask that way.
That's not a nice way to ask as
if you're accusing someone. Ask somebody out of
genuine concern,
and and and have that feeling. Make that
Nia in your heart before you say something.
It's incredible how much of an impact that
has. You make the niya in your heart
before asking someone that I'm asking about their
well-being. I'm not trying to bust their chops
about, you know, why they're not being as
pious in public as they should be.
It makes a great difference for how that
that feeling conveyed.
So he
was one who was,
concerned about his companions. If one of them
wasn't there, he he he was he he
would be, he would feel their absence,
then he would ask about people ask people
about what's going on in the public. He
wasn't someone who was completely,
sectioned off or isolated from the people.
He would,
consider something good to be good, and he
would give it give it more power, and
and he would consider something ugly to be
ugly and he would weaken
it. Why by his
statements and by his,
actions? Whatever he heard that was good, he
would also,
you know, give that give that a lift.
And whatever battle was happening, he would say
something such to, weaken it or weaken people's
resolve to, to join it or to,
interact with it.
He was always he always kept a balanced,
way of, of behavior,
a a balanced affair, and he would never
change from that balance.
La Yagfulu Mahafata
and Yagfulu
O Yamilu. He was never heedless himself out
of fear that the other people, if he
was ever heedless, they would be heedless as
well or they would, they would they would
to, you know, turn toward or or become
inclined toward error.
And it couldn't be.
He was always he always had something he
had prepared for every eventuality,
which is also part of.
Every eventuality had some material means that were
prepared for it whether it be,
guests or whether it be the need for
money or the need for arms or the
need for soldiers or the need for for
help or whatever.
He was never short
in in in standing for the truth nor
did he overshoot the mark,
which is both of them are problematic.
Punishing someone too much or not not not
bringing the issue up, both of them being
falling short or going too far with regards
to the Haqqim that do either of them.
Those who were closest to him were
the best of the people.
The one who was the the the most
virtuous amongst his companions,
were they were considered the most virtuous were
the ones who had the most iqlas for
everybody else. They're the most sincere for the
public.
And the the ones that had the greatest
station with him,
were the ones who were the most perfect
in spending and giving out to other people
and in helping those who needed help,
which is another it's another really,
you know, good reminder, beautiful reminder for us
also that the people who give
leadership to should be those people who are
useful and helpful
and not any other not other benchmarks that
we use to measure somebody's
station
and rank in society.
Allata' give all of us dufit
