			Assalamualaikum and a very warm welcome to the philosophy of fasting Bismillah Al Rahman Rahim Al
hamdu Lillahi Rabbil Alameen. All praise is due to Allah, peace and blessings be upon Muhammad as
less messenger and prophet. As usual we have Dr. athermal al dad joining us in the studio. Salam

			Well, Doctor, we're on the long journey of discovering the philosophy of fasting. We've been talking
about the virtues of fasting very quickly, we're going to clear up all the virtues of fasting. And
then we're going to talk about the virtues of fasting in Ramadan.
		

			Okay, does that Allah hit Miss Miller are salatu salam ala Rasulillah there are a number of other
Hadith that talk about virtues of fasting.
		

			One of them is the Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, when a man called Abu Omar

die as martyrs. Again, the prophets Allah, Allah, Allah sent them said, O Allah, save them, and oh
Allah give them of provisions or booty, part of the booty of war. So the person said, a mama bear
Hindi said, we went to the battle and we fought and Allah saved us. And we returned home safely,
with some provision as well. So the third time, it happened again, and I said to the Prophet, so I
		

			said, I'm Oh ALLAH. Oh Allah, I'm going for jihad. Ask Allah Allah, Allah Allah that I will die as a
Shaheed, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi salam said again, oh Allah save them. So, and he said that we
went to the battle, and we returned home safely. We were not killed as mustards. So he said, I went
to the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam again, and I said, Yeah, Rasul Allah, it happened three times
I joined a battle and I said to you make dua that Allah Jalla wa Ala takes me as a Shaheed as a
mortal because it is the highest place in Jannah.
		

			And you said, Oh Allah, save them. All Allah save them and all Allah provide for them.
		

			And each time Allah returns us safely, and Allah Allah Allah provides for us, okay, so he said,
Okay, tell me about something that is noble.
		

			That I need to do. So he said,
		

			stick to fasting for nothing is equal to fasting

			See, if we are in a in a hot place for an hour, definitely, we will start suffering, of course, and
we will find it so difficult. We start sweating, we want to drink, etc. Imagine that we might be
exposed to the sun. And the sun will be that close to our heads. Yes, for 50,000 years. Some
scholars said that when people are resurrected from their graves, they will be because they've been
waiting for a long time in their graves. So this is the beginning of the Day of Resurrection. So
they will flee from their graves. And they will be going to the mullah ICA one by one to ask them
that Allah Dillo Allah says the day of accountability or self accountability, okay. Then they will
		

			go to Muhammad sallallahu alayhi salam who will intercede for them for the whole humanity. So Allah,

enjoyable drinks in the dunya. So eat and drink as much as you can, yes, in the Afra and this is
what you need for those who fast
		

			Hassan Al Basri. He is one of the scholars of the second generation. He said that in the explanation
of this idea, he said in Jannah the righteous person will be
		

			sitting next to one of the hotel in a hotel in the pretty women that hola de la vida will give those

			Well, Doctor, we're talking about the virtues of fasting. Let's pick up on where we left off and the
previous part about the virtues I do know we have, you know, some major, magnificent things that
you've just said previously. So let's pick up on the major points now. The virtues of fasting, Mr.
Lau salatu, salam ala Rasulillah. Again, as we said, there are some virtues for fasting in general
and some virtues of fasting in Ramadan, okay, fasting Ramadan. Now just some few other more virtues
of fasting in general, right.
		

			In one Hadith the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that fasting and reading Quran both of
them, intercede for the person at the Day of Resurrection.
		

			Quran will say to Allah, Allah, Allah, it will slowly sight on behalf of the person, okay, in order
to defend the person. Look at this.
		

			We need someone to defend us, of course as the day of resurrection, and there will be no one to
defend us except our deeds. So
		

			re citation of the Quran will come to defend us fasting will come and to in order to defend us. So
fasting will say to Allah, Allah, Allah, Oh Allah I stopped him from drinking and eating and his
sexual desire. Oh Allah accept me to defend him to lose to suicide for him? Yes. And the Quran will
say to Allah, Oh Allah, I stopped him from sleeping tonight he was reading me. So Allah accept me to
act as his solicitor and to defend him. So accepted. Yeah. And Allah, Allah, Allah will accept this
Subhanallah one of the things that I want to pick up on there, Dr. Because you just mentioned
reading the Quran, Al Hamdulillah for example, you know, I can't read much Arabic I can just read it
		

			a small amounts. So for example, if I wanted to read the Quran, and I'm thinking, I have to read it
in English, what would benefit me how can I how can I like a non Arabic speaker perform this? As you
mentioned this it is
		

			Good that we will we have a complete episode on maybe a few episodes about Orajel. And in particular
Quran in the life of those who do not speak Arabic, such as yourself, right? Yes, but I'm just

finish the virtues of fasting in general. Yes. In one of their Hadith the Prophet salallahu Alaihe

			Fasting is a shield from fire of *, generally speaking, this is fasting. Also, in one of their
Hadith the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, the one who first one day

			Again, one, another virtue of fasting. You know,
		

			the Hadith that we mentioned, that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Eat each, that
Allah Allah said, each action of the son of Adam belongs to him except for fasting, it is for me, or
it belongs to me and I will reward for it. And Allah Allah, Allah says, This person lives his
desires, his food that drink for me, yes. And this hadith the Allah Allah, Allah Allah said,
		

			that fasting is Juna, then Allah, Allah Allah said that the smell the Franklin's or the body smell
that comes from the mouth of the person during fasting is more beloved to Allah Jalla wa Ala Dan,
the frog runs of mosque Subhanallah
		

			now, this by the way, the bad smell, it is not meant to have a bad smell. But if it happened, that
you have a bad smell and the bad smell is not the smell that comes from the remnants of the fruit in
your mouth. No, because you know in fasting some people do not look after their hygiene. Of course,

of the virtues of fasting in general for sure. And And just lastly, I don't know if we have time or

			You know Abu Bakr Siddiq, put out the Allah Allah and who, yes, he was the best of the Ummah after
the Prophet salallahu Alaihe Salam, and he was known as a Sadiq.

			Abu Bakr said it said, I am fasting yeah rasool Allah. Then the Prophet SAW Selim said, who gives

in five years time. Abu Bakr Siddiq said Dr. Rasool Allah, I was leaving my home, and I found a poor
person. And then I found a piece of bread in my son's hand. Mohammed, I took it from him and I gave
it as a sadaqa to the person. Then the prophets, Allah Allah, Allah Salam said, who visited a sick
person? And
		

			he said, Dr. Rasool Allah, when do we visit a sick person, it is too early to visit a sick person,
Abu Bakr Siddiq because he used to excel and everything.
		

			He said the office will Allah when I left home to pray Fudger I remember that my my brother
Abdullah, is sick. So I said, let me go and visit him. Before coming to the masjid. I went and
visited the Prophet sallahu wa sallam was amazed and he said no one who does all of them together in
