My name is Sheik Ibrahim Gabriels. I am the former president of the
Muslim Judicial Council, similar in the name of God Almighty, most
Gracious, most Merciful. I would love to believe that coronavirus
is not a curse from God Almighty. It's not a punishment, but it's a
mercy. It is a time for South Africans to reflect, not only
South Africans, but people of the world. And in the context of South
Africa, we have got one of the most beautiful countries in the
world, and we were always united. And so this is a time for us to
reflect and to work together and take South Africa to another
level. I'm as a captainian, born and bred captainian, I can still
tell about how we can could have put the bottle of milk outside
with the money in, and the milky man comes and he put the milk and
nobody will take it. South Africa's chains. There's too much
corruption, there's too much crime. So this is the time for us
to stand together. I, as a Capetonian, can tell that my
mother, Christmas time would make biryani and Ruth and curry for all
the Christian neighbors in the world. I would go on our Eid and
Christmas time with my Christian friends. So we lived together as
Christians, Jews and Hindus and everybody. And this is a time for
us to come back to that state and build up South Africa, and so that
we can have a crime free South Africa and a freak of corruption.
And may God Almighty bless all South Africans. You.
