Bismillah al Rahman al Rahim al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil alameen wa Salatu was Salam ala Ashraf in India even more Selena bu now Muhammad in Allah He often Osada to attend with Islam about my brothers and sisters in Islam sent Mr. La Kumara to LA he will borrow capital
will continue in Charlotte, Atlanta but before we get into sort of took off.
I had asked you
two days ago to figure out what verse was the most commonly quoted verse of the Quran as being the last revealed verse. And we said it was homework. So did anyone do their homework?
No, okay, maybe we should wait till the end inshallah. Because I know there's probably some more people that hopefully
will come in sha Allah, they, I'm pretty sure will want to know. So just to remind remind us, before we finish,
I had to Chrissy Oh, yes, the 10 different parts of ayatul kursi. Does anyone remember?
Did anyone look into it? You did?
You try it? And you couldn't? Exactly. I told you, you'd find nine. You have an idea? Go on.
No.
Okay, so maybe at the end, we'll mentioned those two different things in Sharla that we do with punishments and rewards.
Sort of sort of
what I
get from your books, and he kind of put it four or five and he said, this is the strongest evidence, right? And he basically said this, this was about punishments and rewards and all of that kind of fits with the whole concept. Yeah, that has to be the last time Yeah.
Remember the I mentioned it at the end of charma. Okay, so we'll continue as sort of, we'll add off inshallah, today we're going to begin and finish this. So technically, you're supposed to recite into sort of till and fell up to verse number 40, which is
just into the beginning or halfway, not even halfway less than halfway through sort of thrill and fun. But apparently tonight, you're going to be receiving a little bit less one of the Imams is not feeling too well.
So inshallah Tana that gives us the opportunity to focus solely on sort of our off so Allah subhanho wa Taala begins and sort of out off which is the seventh surah of the Quran.
With the her rueful mahkota right there her often Wakata hat as we discussed earlier, and here also panaway to highlight quotes Alif Lam meme and site so Alif
me Mimi, saw the kita
Xena he kefan
sonica Hara Minh julio de to the Robbie he was the karate meanie and so Allah subhanho wa Taala starts off with the roof and macatawa tend to go into the second verse because the first verse there's nothing for us really to describe. Going into the second verse of the suta Allah subhana wa Taala he mentions how he sent down this book
to grant us a peace of mind and peace of heart right to grant us peace within ourselves. So a book revealed to you Oh Muhammad, so let there not be in your in your chest distress there from that you may warn there by And as a reminder to the believers so Allah subhana wa tada shows us in this Quran, how he revealed verses for us to understand for us to contemplate over for us to you know, try to analyze and Allah subhana wa Taala also sent this book for us as a peace of mind and peace of heart. So we're not confused. What the last panel is referring to here is that it's clear His signs are clear. His message is clear. There's no need for you to compare between different religions,
different prophets of the past. Everything that Allah subhana wa attallah came with in the Quran is clear and set for us and easy for us to understand. Right easy for us to understand. And this also points out a very important aspect of our Deen how Allah subhanho wa Taala
in this verse and in many verses of the Quran, he points out that it gives us peace of mind and peace of heart. Therefore, you know, we live in a society in a time or day and age where a lot of people are stressed out, and a lot of people are taking pills in order to calm themselves down depression
You know is kicking into a lot of families, a lot of households have members who are depressed and feel very, you know, anxious and they're having anxiety attacks as well. And so Allah Subhana Allah, Allah tells us that the Quran itself is something that will relieve you of that stress that you're feeling. Or if you're feeling depression, right? Go through the Quran, read the Quran, recite the Quran, and if you're not going to at least listen to the recitation of the Quran, you will feel in that just by listening to the recitation of the Quran, you'll feel the peace of mind and peace of heart. So Allah subhanho it and it begins this surah telling us that it's you know, it the Koran
itself, not the surah alone, the entire Quran brings upon us peace of mind, peace of heart,
in verse number eight and nine, and we have over 200 verses to go through today in sha Allah so bear with me we're gonna move a loss of Conway to Han and verses eight and nine
he talks about the scale while it was no young he needed help on
soco net mela Xin who felt
he can move on and the weighing of deeds that day will be the truth. And so Allah subhanho wa Taala talks about the scale and how our deeds will be weighed on the Day of Judgment. Let me ask you a question.
You have a scale in front of you, right? And this scale, obviously, it's a it's the old types of scale, not the new ones, where you just put something on it, and it tells you a digital amount of weight, right? So it's the old scale, you put something on one side, and the weight of it pulls the scale down, you put something else on the other side, and it pulls that first side up. And if they're equal, then you know, it sort of balances out. So that typical old school type of scale, right? What is heavier, a pound of stones or a pound of feathers?
Mashallah, Mashallah, see, fasting brings wisdom. This is the first time I asked this question. And the very first response was, it's equal? It's the same, right? I've asked this a number of times before. And so whenever we hear this question, what's heavier, a pound of stones or a pound of feathers? You think feathers, right? Because feathers are lighter. But a pound of stone is equal to a pound of feathers. They're both one pound. Right? But the point that I'm trying to make here is how many stones Do you have to put on that scale for it to be a pound, maybe just a small amount, right? small stone, but then a pound of feathers? You put maybe a handful or two handfuls, right?
Put a lot more for it to weigh it down, maybe even more than that. And when you look at the scale, step back and you look at it, what do you think is more rewarding? Which side the stone or the feathers?
Which side is more rewarding? By looking at them, the stone? The feathers? Why? Because there's more, right? But they're still equal. They're still equal. And the example here is for us to try and understand especially with salata, tarawih,
a lot of us will push ourselves to do 20 2020 2020. And in many other countries, they do more than 20. Right? And not many, but some other countries, I should say they do more than 20. Right? They do up to over 30. Okay, right? If you go to some parts of Morocco as well, you'll notice that that's very common. And so in Ramadan, a lot of us will push ourselves to do more good deeds. But what Allah subhanho wa Taala wants to see is quality of our deeds, he wants to see the quality of the deeds. And so if you put the quality of tuukka, for example, on the side of the scale where you had this stone, and you look at it, it doesn't look like much, right? Doesn't look like anything, it's
heavy, but it doesn't look like much it's small. It's just a stone that's there. Then you have the side where the feathers are where it's all a bunch of fluff, right? It's just 2020 2020 are dumping 20 on top, because culturally, you were taught, I need to pray 20, right. And so you pray 20 on God. And so you look at the scale, you step back and you look at it and you think wow, Mashallah, this site is much better, because there's a lot more, there's a lot more of a kind of solder on there, then this side that only has two or four, right? And so, in reality, what are they?
They're equal, right? They're equal. Why? Because the person who prayed the to aka prayed it sincerely with devotion and concentration. And it had such value that they kept it and carried on with it throughout the year, and so on and so forth. I'm just using the example of tarawih, right, because it's real and relevant right now. So this person who prayed those two nakara, it was just to Dhaka and every day, they would go home after two, right, maybe they started work early or whatever the case was, and then other people would continue praying to
20 2020 just adding the 20 on there, but the 20 is just like a lava lamp, but along with some yellow, up, down, kiss the ground out to town, right? Just up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up down nonstop. And hamdulillah and our massages, we noticed that the recitation is nice that you can actually understand it. Right? We finished a little bit later. But at least you can understand you can follow with that. Mmm. And this is good, right? So praying 20, aka where you understand and you're comprehending, and you're following the inom. That's good. We're not picking on those right? We're picking on the the memes that are the masajid where it's just like
I mean,
I didn't hear half of Fatiha right. No, no, don't worry about it. Right. So So Pamela, you'll notice that the person who prays the 20 doctor, or a number a large amount of Raka, their amount on the scale is still equal to the person who prayed less, but prayed it with concentration with devotion. And so the example here is not for us to come to Allah subhanho wa Taala on the Day of Judgment with lots and lots of things that we did. Well, I did this I did that I read quote, and I remember I was put on a topcoat and and, you know, I learned Hadeeth and I was teaching Hadeeth and I lived according to the son of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and they did this and I did that.
And it gave Southern. Yeah, you did all that. But did you do it sincerely. And we know that the very first people that are less proud with Anna will drag into the Hellfire from the oma, are those that were that were doing lots of good deeds, but not having any sincerity. Like the Imam who learned the Quran, who taught the court an oversight of the Quran. And he wouldn't he comes to a loss of Hanrahan and says, I did all of this, right? I did all of this. And the loss of bandwidth, Allah will say you did it for the reasons of why the people praise you, right? They praise you feel that, you know, you wanted to be known as an Imam, you wanted to know be known as a body of the Quran, you
wanted to be known for that, and you were known for it. But now you get your punishment, and he will drag them on their face and pull them into the Hellfire right there will be dragged on their face and pulled into the hellfire. And that's a person who comes with a bunch of what a bunch of claims that I did good things, but what is it, it's just a bunch of fluff. It's just a bunch of fluff, like the fluff in the feather. And, you know, absolutely useless. So Allah subhanho wa Taala, on the day of judgment, he will weigh our deeds. And what's important for us is not to, especially during the month of Ramadan.
Now, don't get me wrong, don't I'm not stopping you from praying 20 rock and you want to pray 20 Go ahead. But my point is, don't do a bunch of extra things, only to think that I'm going to be rewarded by doing these things. But there's no sincerity and there's no devotion, there's no concentration, you're not doing it for the sake of pleasing Allah subhanho wa Taala you're doing it because your friends are doing it or you're doing it because your family is doing and you're doing it because the people around you are going to criticize you and say, hey, look at him, you know, he left early, he didn't finish praying. Know, if the people are claiming that you're leaving early,
and you're not finishing praying, but you're doing it for the sake of pleasing the loss of Hannah Montana, that's good. Whereas the person who's praying, they're, you know, staying for a long amount of rock, I'm not gonna say 20 let's just say you know, the family is gonna, the family says we're gonna stay for 16. But they're tired after eight to retired after 10. And they go and they sit down in the back. And then people see them and say, Look at you, what are you doing, you're sitting down any lazy, you're tired, come on, man, you can do it. And this person stands up to pray only for the sake of pleasing the people that are seeing them and making fun of them or, you know, claiming that
they're lazy and tired. And they're not praying for the sake of Allah subhanho wa Taala. That's more dangerous. And that's, you know, I posted about it last year on Facebook and people got the wrong idea. I said, there's there there can actually, there can actually be a time where saw that to taraweeh becomes shift. And people are like, Whoa, what are you talking about? Yes, it can actually become shift. If you're doing it because your family, your friends and everyone else who would would criticize you for praying less. So you're only praying because if they see you leaving away or walking away from Salah that you're not praying it so you continue to pray solely for their sake,
then it becomes shift. You're not doing it for the sake of Allah subhana wa Tada. Right. And so we have to be very careful with everything that we do. Our good deeds can become shipped Allah Subhana Allah tells us that our sadaqa can become shipped. Right? Our recitation of the Quran can be can become shipped. We're not saying that the Quran is should know that you in your recitation, you yourself are committing an act of shift because you're reciting in order for others to see you and to praise you and to say good things about you. Whereas Allah subhana wa Taala shows us in the Hadith, of
You know reported in Makati, that that person will be the person dragged on their face into Janda. So we ask Allah Subhana which Allah to make it easy for us to do our sins with the intention of pleasing Allah subhanho wa Taala sorry, do our good deeds. Along with that. This is what happens when you're fasting for so many hours, you're falling asleep aren't you?
See, when people around me are falling asleep, I fall asleep to a sham. So you do your sins for the, for the sake of getting away from a loss of habitat and not pleasing a lot, right? Don't do your sins, stay away from the sins, do the good deeds right for the sake of pleasing a muscle kind of nebulous pattern with data for give us a shot.
In verse number 11, until verse number 27, here Allah subhanho wa Taala in this surah you'll notice that from now on for, you know the next few verses that we're going to go through in sha Allah, Allah, Allah Subhana Allah to Allah in Surah Rafi goes through chunks of things like themes in in chunks in sets, right. And here, Allah subhana wa Taala talks about Adam alayhis salam, and the creation and how he created Adam, and we're not going to go through it because we went through it before. But there's a few other aspects of the life of Adam alayhis salam and however we're going to touch upon. So Adam alayhis salaam when he was created, he was there living with how our agenda, Mr.
subhanho wa Taala.
He tells the angels after he creates them to bow down to Adam, right. This was when Adam alayhis salaam was created before how I was created to bow down to Adam, Allah His setup. And we know in this case that the angels bow down who did not bow down. It blease was at least from amongst the angels.
No, he wasn't right. And that was his claim to fame as well. That was his claim to fame. When he was debating with a loss of Hannah Horta earlier he told Allah subhanho wa Taala I'm not made out of clay like this, you know, being that you're asking us to bow down to to prostrate in front of Adam alayhis salam, what did he say he was made of fire, what type of fire a smokeless, colorless fire, right, a fire that's stronger and more powerful than any other type of fire. And so it believes is trying to prove to Allah subhanho wa Taala. I'm better than this. You created men, Adam alayhis salam out of clay and soil and dust that you took from the earth. And you put him together and
molded him and created him into a being I was made at a fire. And we know any of us takes a match and puts it under our hand we're going to be scared, right? If you put a lighter under your hand, you're going to be scared because a fire will burn you. But if you trust the loss of hanaway to handle it, right? disclaimer, don't try this at home, because it is part of the human components that were made of that it will burn us but sincerely if you trust the Vasa pan with Allah that it will not burn you. And we saw this in the example of Ibrahim and he has set up the fire will not burn, I must say how do we tell if let's say you know your house is on fire. And you know, you need
to run through it very quickly. If Allah Subhana Allah wants you to be saved and protected, he will save you and protect you. Right, we've seen it we've seen, you know, natural disasters, we call them natural disasters, they've come to different parts of the world. Like for example, when the tsunami hit and I remember in Indonesia, that typical picture of how the mustard itself was untouched. Right. And also in Japan once where you know, there was a the the the floodwaters came up and there was a mustard there that was untouched in different parts of the world, different things that happened, or loss of habitat, it protects what he wants and destroys what he wants. Right? And so
unless you can withstand it there he talks about Adam alayhis salam and the angels how he commanded them to bow down and they all bow down except to at least at least was not from amongst the angels. He was a jinn. But he was allowed to be in the company of the angels because he was the most noble of the jinn. And so Allah subhanho wa Taala allowed him to be in their company. He was noble He was educated, he was also very obedient to Allah subhanho wa Taala. But at this point in time, he decided to argue back with Allah subhanho wa Taala about his creation. Then it lease was thrown out, right? He was banned from being in their company, and Adam and how they were together in Jenna.
Right enjoying themselves, and the loss of Hannah Montana had forbid them from touching the tree that had the forbidden fruit. Right? And it was not an apple. We don't know where that was right? The Christian traditions tell us that it was the apples. Right? But we don't know what it was. This was a fruit from the fruit of gentlemen.
So Allah subhana wa
To highlight he forbid them from approaching this tree. Now shaitan whisper to them whispered whispered whispered whispered whispered whispered right just like shavon does to us, but people wonder how did shavon whisper to Adam and how they were in Jeddah and he was removed from gentlemen. Who knows? Who knows a recent
from the gates Okay, from from from a distance. What else? Allah Subhana Allah Allah says in Surah kabhi Lu mein hai fula
that it leads and his workers they see you in in times and ways and places that you don't see them. So here Allah subhana wa tada mentions that at least has workers, right? And it's mentioned in certain traditions in Islam, eds that, you know, at least used a serpent that went and whispered to Adam and how whatever it was Allah Subhana Allah knows best but we believe that he believes he does have workers that work with him. And they did work with him at least in order to distract how and Adam Allah has said them from taking this fruit. Now in the Christian traditions it says that how Eve took the fruit and she was the one and because of her you know, this punishment came to them
they were thrown out of genda but the reality is our our Islamic teachings telling us that Adam and Eve his Salim was the one that took from the fruit and split the fruit and gave to her as well and they both ate from this fruit. And then we also had what to Hannah had removed them from,
from genda. And in verse number 23, we see here on out on Ben Oh vaanam
for Santa ilam tofield Nana
Nana coonan Amina Rojas earring. They said Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves. Immediately when they touch this fruit, Allah subhana wa Taala communicated with them and said, You know, I had forbidden I had forbid you from taking this fruit. Why did you approach this tree? I told you you shouldn't have you know, come close to it. And so Allah subhanho wa Taala at that very moment, received this from Adam and Howard. They said our banner Valentina, and for Santa, we've wronged ourselves while in London fiddling with our handle an akuna nominal caecilian that if you don't forgive us, and pardon us from what we've done, we surely will be from amongst those who are the
losers, those who have wronged ourselves and they immediately turn to Allah Subhana Allah to enter into our heart. And in response we see as we took in the previous Sutras, Allah subhanho wa Taala immediately accepts their dua, but he still places them on Earth, showing us that their their placement on earth is not their punishment for eating the fruit. Their placement on Earth was bound to happen. Allah subhanho wa Taala created Adam an hour not to stay in genda so that they can be placed on earth while while Oppo to
learn Arabic.
Allah subhanho wa Taala created the jinn as well as the human beings live so that we worship Allah subhana wa tada and he created the earth as a place that we would be on and worship Allah subhanho wa Taala so he didn't punish them and place them on Earth. They were bound to come to Earth. That was the plan of Allah subhanho wa Taala this was just a moment that he decided you know what, I'm going to remove you and place you on Earth at this point in time. So they immediately were forgiven by Allah subhanho wa Taala and placed on Earth.
Then in verse number 31, we move on and Charlottetown Allah subhanho wa Taala says
yeah, Benny danmaku Xena
MSG.
To say fu
anything. All children of Adam take your adornment at every mustard and eat and drink but be not excessive. Indeed he likes not those who commit excess. We mentioned yesterday how Allah subhanho wa Taala does not like eesof he does not like waste right? does not like when we waste things. But here are Allah subhana wa highnesses who luzina takelma in the Quran? MSgt right. Take upon yourselves in adornment in your clothing dress. Well look nice when you come to the masjid. Right? You're standing before Allah subhanho wa Taala you're about to worship him you're going to stand before Him in your sauna. And we know that we can worship Allah subhana wa tan and many other ways. Are you bad that is
not just Ana. It's many different types of people.
Bad, our car design is a bad hour. You know getting ready and looking nice grooming ourselves for the sake of Allah Subhana Allah is a type of murder, right? Our eating, if we say Bismillah and go to sleep properly the way that the son of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam shows us, then this is all considered a bad, but you're coming to stand in front of a wall, some kind of way to hand it in the way that he prescribed saw that to be done upon us, which is the most important type of worship, that Allah subhanho wa Taala enjoys and loves from us. It is the first thing that he will question us about on the Day of Judgment. And the lust of Hamlet. Allah tells us in this verse,
when you when you prepare yourself to come to the masjid to get ready to pray for Allah subhana wa tada or to Allah subhanho wa Taala get dressed and look nice. adorn yourselves correctly. Now here Allah subhana wa Tada. You notice at the end of the verse, he says, but don't be excessive. Why should you not be excessive? Don't be excessive in your food and drink. Yes, we understand that but don't be excessive in your clothing. Don't don't go out of your way to be too extravagant that you spend all of your wealth and you come in you look like you know, Mashallah you're dressed in clothing that's dipped in gold, right? And you're praying, you're solid and the person behind you or
beside you is so distracted by what you're wearing that they can't focus on their Sadat. What Allah Subhana Allah wants is that we look nice, dress appropriate, we're clean, we clean ourselves, we clean our mouth. And so some of the Prophet sallallahu wasallam is we didn't eat any any foods that are going to be disturbing to the people next to us. And this is very important because drink tonight we have noticed people are
great, they eat all this food and Mashallah their belly is full, and they're the nice and comfortable and as they're praying tonight.
And the person next to them is like,
Alright, and it's just it's a reality, right? So eat the foods that are going to be good and healthy for you. And you're also not going to disturb the people next to you. You know, when you come for for sonet and McGlade or solitary shower, you're there for maybe 10 minutes and saw that you might not burp even though you know, if you ate an hour before chances are you're not going to burp during your Salah, right? But if it happens, it happens. But taraweeh you're there for like an hour, an hour and a half two hours, you're you're bound to probably you know, burped because you just ate so much food, you've been fasting for almost 18 hours. And so eat the foods that are going to be proper
for you. Even if you are going to burn the people around you would not smell a smell that's disturbing to them. Right?
So unless I'm handling data here, he also mentions this verse because at the time of the machine before Islam, and this was right before the fact America right before our last panel died, Allah the Prophet salallahu alayhi wa sallam to conquer Mecca, the mushrikeen would make the walk around the Kaaba, while they weren't naked, they would not wear clothing. And so they would go to what we see as the most holy house of the houses of Allah subhanho wa Taala, the Cabo where we go to perform our hedging on them, they would go there as well to perform pilgrimage, but they would perform their tawaf while they were naked. And the daytime was for the men and the nighttime was for the women.
And the women they used to sometimes say that eventually they would, they would show themselves even in the daytime, right? So the the walk was performed without having any clothing. So Allah subhanho wa Taala wants us to dress nicely and appropriately when we pray Our salah and let this be a lesson for those who come to the masjid. And mean we don't see it too often, but it does happen. You know, especially the men I know the sisters we always complain, come dress appropriately and we point the finger at the sisters you have to be covered enough to do this.
But what about the brothers, we notice a lot of the brothers especially, you know, the young adults, they come in, they're wearing their you know, t shirts and they go to the gym and they're buff and tough and they're nice, tight t shirts showing off their muscles. But the T shirts are a little bit too short as well. And so they go into Jude and we can see that they're wearing their Superman boxer shorts as well, right? And so Mashallah, we don't need to see what boxer shorts you're wearing. We don't need to see your back or your backside, in the mustard. Try and wear clothing that's going to cover yourself appropriately so that when you're praying you're Salatu Allah Subhana Allah to Allah,
not only are you in concentration, but the people around you, beside you and behind you are also in concentration to Allah subhanho wa Taala and not in your Superman logo. So Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions there,
how it's important for us to dress appropriately, but don't be extravagant in your clothing. Right? Be nice, good. You know, dress nicely and respectfully and be a role model. I must handle it. Allah wants us to be role model for the rest of society. We are Muslim in when people see us we stand out from a crowd, not because we're showing off, but because we look good, we're preventable. We speak nicely. We dress good, we're clean and we smell
Good and this is often the son of the Prophet sallallahu ala usnm.
In verse number 37, Allah subhanho wa Taala says, you know, he encourages us not to lie or make up things about Allah subhanho wa Taala and he mentions that these are the most unjust people as Allah subhanho wa Taala says, from an available Mim and if Torah Allah and Allah He can even okay
so Allah subhanho wa Taala talks about the person who lies or tells tales or makes up things related to Allah subhanho wa Taala. And these are from the worst of people as he mentions in these verses. In verse 42, and 43. Allah subhanho wa Taala goes on to talk about the righteous believers and how they will go to gentleness so the reward for those who are righteous and who believe in Allah subhanho wa Taala and do good deeds they will go to Geneva and in verse number 43, Allah subhana wa tada
shows praise or we praise to Allah for guiding us we we actually praise Allah subhanho wa Taala in this verse
Where's it at hunger learn lady hi Donna. I begin by hooked up with it sometimes. Am I reading the right verse 43 I'm just not seeing it. Oh yes, we're calling hamdu lillahi levy Hi, Donna Neha mama Khun Nina Tatiana una de la sala Allah subhanho wa Taala. In this verse, He shows us how we praise Him Alhamdulillah we praise Allah, Allah he had done and he had. He's the one who guided us to what to this religion to worshiping Him. One that couldn't do Lola and her de number. And we would not be able to be guided towards this had a loss of handling to Allah not chosen us and selected us and guided us towards the truth, right as we touched upon yesterday as well. Then in verses 44 to 51.
Here is where Allah subhana wa Johanna actually talks about an hour off, right? The sutra itself is an hour off what is an hour off?
Right? height? Okay, height in a way. Does anyone else know?
it? It's plural.
A partition good, right, a partition that's very high, a wall that's high allowed off is if we break it down in Arabic, all right. So our office plural for all of us, and it can also be known as a leadin yardi foun, what is known, right what is known, so Allah subhanho wa Taala. Here he ties in this name that he gave to this wall as the wall and it is a wall that is you that is described here, on the day of judgment, where it will be the wall that divides between those who are in Geneva and those who are in Jannah. And this is a wall that the people whose good deeds and bad deeds are equal, they will be at this wall or at this partition at this level, how it will be we don't know
only Allah subhana wa tada knows. But we can say for example, it's like a wall and or a division, the partition that's built and you're sitting on this wall, you're sitting there, or you're standing there, you're placed at this level and out of your beat between Gen net and Johanna, your good deeds were equal to your bad deeds. So Allah subhanho wa Taala put you there. And here in these verses Allah Subhana Allah to Hannah shows us how the people of Jenna communicate with the people of Ghana and the people of jahannam communicate with the people of Ghana and between them is a is a hijab between them is this partition right?
So Allah subhanho wa Taala. Here he shows us if you read through the verses, we're not going to read through them because a lot of verses it goes on for a dozen verses, but Allah Subhana Allah Allah shows us how the people have done that they asked the people of Johanna right, have you have you found what you were looking for? right what you enjoy it in essence, worldly life, all that you enjoy you finding it there, right? Is that is that what you got? Are you happy with that? Right and vice versa, right? The people have done that now they got what they what they thought they would get what they expected their engender, right. And then you'll notice in the verses later on, it
communicates between them and Allah Subhana Allah says, Those people who are in the middle, the people of our off, they were they will receive the mercy of Allah subhanho wa Taala Allah and he will place them through His mercy in Geneva. You are in the middle. You neither excelled in good deeds, nor did you excel in bad deeds and
It was it completely equal on the scale the balance was leveled. And so Allah subhanho wa Taala put you there You were scared for some time yet Allah subhana wa tada through His mercy He takes you in places you up into Jana. So those people will be placed up into gentlemen.
Then the last panel were to Hannah mentions here fairly
common, so
common So,
Nico.
Come on as soon as you meet him.
So Allah subhanho wa Taala says that on that date, they had forgotten almost kind of what Allah in the dunya for The Omen and sell him for The Omen and southern Cameroon. So, the yomim had, right so Allah subhanho wa Taala says that we forgot them, they forgot us meaning they forgot Allah subhanho wa Taala uses the the plural sense which is a royal type of speaking right like the Royal we,
when he says national, so Allah subhanho wa Taala the verses he mentions that they forgot a loss of Hannah to Hannah in the dunya. So today, we will forget them, meaning they're in Jannah we will leave them in Jannah right, this is their This is their their recompense what they what they get for their deeds that they committed in this dunya. Then Allah subhanho wa Taala goes on. And the reason why, just to explain why it's called an hour off, an hour off, right, and we mentioned you're off, or you're on a phone, a place that sometimes is elevated in land is also, you know, used that term is used in Arabic. So it's a place that's known, it's elevated a little bit. So for example,
Montreal is called Montreal, why?
Mount Royal, right? There's a mountain there, it's an elevated place of land, right? So it's known because it's a landmark, it's elevated. And that place is known people know that this land goes higher, right? It goes a little bit higher. So it's a landmark that's been placed there. And Allah subhanho wa Taala refers to it as a landmark, but also a place of the people who are known why because they will know the people will know who they are. They're the people that are in the middle. And they also will recognize that these people from their signs on them, they were people who did righteous deeds as well as committed sins during their life. So signs will be upon them and it will
be noticeable. In verse number 49, Allah subhana wa Taala mentions how they will enter gender.
And we mentioned that in sha Allah so we're not going to go through it. And in verse number 59, to 62. Here is where Allah subhana wa tan as we mentioned, he moves in chunks, right the surah moves in chunks. So now it's going to be the chunk of new Allah has sent up. We talked about Adam and Howa now it goes into news and the people of New and Allah subhanho wa Taala tells us of his story, and we'll go through it very quickly inshallah, because the story of Noah we touch upon it, and we will touch upon it again and we have already also so he built the ark and he, you know, got into the ark with those that followed him and they were just literally almost two handfuls. And so Allah subhanho
wa Taala, safeguarded them, placed them inside the ark and flooded the world with with the floods and Allah subhanho wa Taala destroyed the rest of the people in the and and the creation but also we know that from the species that Allah subhanho wa Taala had around he had safeguarded them by having the male and the female meaning you know, couple placed into the ark with newer Allah has sent out. So the people of Noah were destroyed for their action, what was their actions that they were doing? What were they disobeying Allah subhanho wa Taala with
Okay, so heat, right, it was the first time that ship was seen on Earth, right during the time of no highlight his Salah, or just before you know his time that people started to commit ship. And so normally his salad was sent to them to eradicate or to remove. This showed that they were committing and they didn't want to stop the ship and we'll see it at the end of our scene in Chateau Montana when we go through the story or the sort of normality has sent up. Then we move on to verses 65 to 72. We're less accountable to Hannah here in these verses.
He mentions what he learned in
the service of Hamlet Allah talks about wouwd alayhis salam and his people who are his people, the people of the people of ad right. So Allah subhanho wa Taala he tells us the story of the people of food and ad and how you know the difference
So beta muscle panel with Hannah and they thought that they were going to live forever and they built these palaces and castles on in the mountains out of stone and rock and they thought that you know what they were indestructible and Allah subhanho wa Taala touches upon them when he mentions them in another verse of the Quran he says in Alma de de la creme
de la mujer que la comida lo ha feel
so Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions that they were big and tall in stature like an ima right, you know, my dad tillery mud allotey Lem use luck mistletoe Hasselblad that they were tall and big and powerful and buffin tough and rough. individuales right. Big like pillars, and Letty Lem your clock, Miss Lu Hasselblad, like no other human beings you saw on the face of the earth. And you might remember about 10 years ago or, you know, 12 years ago circulating on the internet, there was this picture of some bones of a skeleton. Apparently archaeologists had found the remains of one of the people of add, right and it was a really big skeleton. And then, you know, about few months later,
it was revealed that that was just photoshopped, right? So it must have handled it had he destroyed these people. And he mentions about them after he destroyed them in seven nights and eight days, he sent a wind that was very powerful and destroyed them so much to the extent that they were like hollow tree trunks, completely destroyed, everything was just finished. And Allah Subhana Allah says about them, he says the *
do you see anything that remains from them nothing. And because of loss of Hannah Montana mentions this in the Quran for how to Tanana home in bathia. This means and proves to us that we will not see any remains from them, they've been destroyed, and all of their remains are destroyed and no archaeologist will find any of their remains. Why? Because Allah Subhana Allah tells the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, they've been destroyed to the extent that they thought they were so powerful and we're going to live forever. So Allah subhanho wa Taala destroyed them in a way that they will never ever be seen on the face of this earth. He completely destroyed them. And these
were people that have lost pan with Allah said, you don't have to learn that, that they were big and massive people and let them your luck mythical half will be that right? That there were no other human being that looked like these people on the on the face of this earth. And so Allah subhanho wa Taala destroys them.
In verses 73 to 79 Allah subhanho wa Taala here what you know, thermo
Sania, he sends Allah, Allah, his Salah to who to which people that people have
thermowood right, so he sends to thermowood sila, Allah His center, and here this is the example and we'll look at it later in the, you know, in the the next sutras of Quran as well. He sent a camel and there was this camel that Allah subhanho wa Taala had made real out of a stone that the people were telling salia How to his son, you know, what, what are you talking about? You're our brother, and he was supposed to be a leader for his people. Right? But when he started to call them towards a oneness of Allah subhanho wa Taala. They thought, you know what, he's just trying to gain early power. He doesn't know what he's talking about. He's just creating this making it up. And so they
said, See this stone, tell your Lord to turn this stone into a massive sheet camel, that's nine months pregnant, right? That's big and really beautiful. And immediately a loss of Hannah Montana made that happen. Right, but yet they still didn't believe. And so the story goes on. And we'll talk about a story another time and shot a lot of data, but they ended up killing this camel, that was a blessing from Allah subhanho wa Taala for them because it provided them with a lot of milk.
And they end up murdering this camel.
And then you'll notice in the story, how Allah Subhana Allah mentions that he destroys those people as well because of their disobedience. And then after destroying the people that murdered the camel, he destroys the people who disobeyed the message of saw they had a his Salam as well. And the the method
the method that he used to destroy the people, Allah subhanho wa Taala used a very beautiful example for us. It's a method that you would never really, you know, contemplate.
That's what last time it used sound. He sent sound waves You know, when we do this
And it gets really loud. And if I talk in both of them, you're gonna get really annoyed. Right?
That's the example of what Allah subhana wa tada used. You know, when you're driving your car and someone next to you has a sound system and they pull up and say,
there's just vibrating your car and you feel you think your rear view mirror is gonna fall off, you know, and everything in your cars are shaking, and you're thinking, why is this person doing this to their car, right and the mother's inside their house, their their dishes start to rattle and shake, and you know, their young adult comes home or their, you know, child comes home from university and he's blasting a sound system and all the dishes and glasses are rattling inside the kitchen. But Allah subhana wa tada gave sound such power, right? They hear it bothers our ears or the email goes Institute in hearing.
It's really high pitch, right? And you hear that sound, and it bothers your ears. I mean,
just turn that off, because we're getting feedback now. So it disturbs you, right? The sound, it's annoying.
But Allah subhana wa tada said, that sounds so powerful, that the sound waves destroyed the people. The sound waves destroyed the people, they were inside of their homes, and the sound waves came and just literally shocked them or shook them so much that their insides just collapsed, just finished. And for those of you that know sound, it's capable of doing that. Today, armies around the world, they're looking into, you know, modern warfare and different types of
weapons that they can use. And they're looking into sound sound waves, you see it, there's documentaries about it, how they use sound, and you actually see sound makes ripples in the air just like you know, when you have water, and you drop something in the water and it creates those ripples in the water. The exact same thing happens in sound. That's why when you pull up next to someone and you've your car is next to their cart, but your car is shaking. It's because the sound that's being created from the speakers in their car is pushing the wind, it's disturbing the wind, and it's just making these ripples and it's making your car vibrate. I know because I used to work on cars, right?
And so Allah subhanho wa Taala he destroyed the people of Sonic by using sound waves. Then we go on to loot Allah has sent him from verses 80 to 84 Allah subhanho wa Taala
he talks about loot na his salah
and his story very briefly, and we'll look at it again later on in sha Allah, Allah but Allah subhanho wa Taala here destroyed the people, not because they were committing ship,
were they committing ship? Does anyone have proof that they were committing ship?
They were disobeying Allah subhanho wa Taala not only in the action that you're thinking of, as well, right, the action of you know,
you know, same gender relations, right, because there's children around. So they were not only doing that they were very, very extreme in sinning, in stealing in murder in various different sins that were extremely disliked by Allah subhanho wa Taala. But from amongst them was also this action it had not been seen before in the face of the earth. And they were the ones that begin the action of same gender relations, right. And so Allah subhanho wa Taala destroyed them because of their disobedience he sent the angel of gibreel alayhis salam, after telling Luke alayhis salam to leave with those from his family that were obedient to Allah subhanho wa Taala, who were the family
members, who knows you Tana has sent him only had two children, and both of them were daughters. And so Allah subhanho wa Taala protected the the the progeny or the offspring of Luth alehissalaam by granting him only daughters. And this is an example for us not to feel Oh, you know, what? I know in the Pakistani culture, it's it's like, really bad if you have a child and your first child is a girl. Right? It's like, now it's starting to be watered down a little bit. But I know traditionally, even our grandparents that I thought about what happened, why didn't you have a son? Try again? Right? This wife is not good for you. All right. That's sometimes what's mentioned. Right? So So
Pamela, this is an example for us in the story of Lou tiny has set up how he was granted by Allah subhanho wa Taala to children, and they were both daughters, right? And the reason for that, Allah subhanaw taala protected his children during a time where every single man was involved in this action, and they were so into the action like they enjoyed it so much that it was done in public out in the open. They didn't even like to do going inside a room or inside the home note in public. They were
Do this right so Allah subhanho wa Taala sent gibreel Allah His Salaam, he literally just took the tip of his wing, dug it into the ground, lifted the people up into the air, flip them upside down and shot them back at the ground while they were gone and being thrown down to the ground, Allah subhanho wa Taala sent those stones, each stone was engraved on it, the name of the person that it was supposed to hit, destroying the person from that nation as well.
And then Allah subhanho wa Taala goes into verses number 85 to 93. And he talks about sure it has sat down and how the people have shown it but Allah has sent them were destroyed also by an earthquake and by sound and we're going to skip through because we'll talk about these profits later on as well In short, a lot of data throughout the Quran. In verses 103 to 156. Now a huge chunk here, Allah Subhana Allah talks about Moosa Allah has sent up, he talks about Moosa, he brings up the topics of Moosa and the magician's. He goes through how musala his senem was being branded as a magician, someone who is using magic in order to prove himself, but then when he proved to the
magicians of fit our own, so phenomena, had advisors and from those advisors were magicians, right? Who would perform things trying to convince people that fit our own was the God to be worshipped, right? So those magicians when musala has sent them came, they turned their ropes into snakes and massages, and then took his staff that was solid, right? And he threw that down to the ground, and that turned into a snake. And they knew from that, but you know what, wait a second, this is not magic. This is not an illusion, this is not an optical illusion that he is just performing in front of us. This is a reality. This is a miracle. And only a divine miracle can can be done in this sort.
Right? So they knew right away that most it is and I was not a magician. He was really a prophet of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And he was showing them how in their own practices of using magic, he was refuting them and showing them the reality of Allah subhanho wa Taala the miracle of Allah subhanho wa Taala right, so he threw his staff down and that happened. So he convinced the magicians
and then they began to believe in Allah Subhana Allah to Allah, they submitted to Allah subhanho wa Taala and found was extremely furious, he commanded that those who followed moon musala he said Salim and worship Allah subhanho wa Taala did not worship him were to it was commanded for them to have their their opposite limb cut off. So you know, let's say the right leg, the left hand, right or the left arm and then the opposite them so you get it right, the opposite limb, so one to the opposite limb to be cut off.
And then Allah subhana wa Taala goes on to discuss how fit our own and his people they suffered and went through a drought and they went through a very difficult time. And then they sought out Masada, his salon, they wanted to kill moussaka his center. So they chased after him and we know that Musa fled with his followers and from amongst them, the majority were those magicians and they went to the Red Sea, they reached the Red Sea. How many of you have seen the Red Sea?
How many of you have gone to you know, Saudi and maybe gone to Jeddah? Have you gone to Jeddah? Anyone here, Jeddah the waters there? That's the Red Sea. Right? That's the Red Sea. So if you swim in the Red Sea, then you swim in the waters that fit our island was destroyed in with his people. Right? I swim in those waters. Sorry.
Yeah, so the opposite side of the Red Sea is Egypt. So you have like, Jet the yen war? Yeah. Yeah, they were on the opposite side, obviously. Right. So, but I was just saying because not many people go to Egypt unless you're from Egypt, but a lot of people go to Saudi from Mecca, Medina and possibly going to Jeddah for shopping. Right.
Exactly, exactly. They'll take you out to you know, historical places in Egypt of the Red Sea.
Yeah,
that's right. They sell water, they sell a bunch of different things. May Allah subhanho wa Taala help us all. So Allah subhanho wa Taala. He shows us how moose Allah has sent him reached the edge of the Red Sea. Right and then most hanworth Allah commanded him to do what?
to strike the ground exactly with his staff. And when he when he hit the ground with his staff, Allah subhana wa tada parted the Red Sea. Not only did he part the Red Sea, Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions in the Quran that he made the sea bed dry.
Because when you think of it, how many of you have been to a beach? I know in Canada, we don't go to beach as much but I've been to many beaches and different countries around the world. And somehow you walk into the beach, what do you feel on your feet? I actually don't like that feeling, right? It's very it's very sludgy and slimy.
Yes uncle, just if you don't mind, I know we only have five minutes I'm trying to push forward inshallah. So you walk through and it's very sludgy and slimy right. And so your feet is wet moose Allah has sent him and his army or his people they went through a wall some kind of winter and and made it completely dry for them to travel through the sea. And then when fit around, it has started to fit around now has to be done in a shift energy. When found went into the water. Allah Subhana without admitted swallow him and spit him out as well so that his remains can be seen and noticed by those who came afterwards as well. So Masada has sent him travelled through and was safe and when he
reached the other side of muscle panel with Anna mentions in these verses as well, that his people, they were still stuck in their ways of idol worshipping like they still had that the essence of it within them. And so they needed something to worship when Musa alayhis salaam was gone to communicate with Allah subhanho wa Taala for 30 days plus 10 days, so 40 days he was gone to communicate with a boss or panel who went to Hana and he was given the the laws to use to govern the people with the commandments, we could say. Allah subhanho wa Taala left behind with Musashi, a sentiment should say left behind one end, those that follow them and they began to need something to
worship. So they started to worship the calf that we mentioned earlier. And Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions that there and then also in these verses, Moosa has sent him says to Allah subhanho wa Taala, I want to see you, right, I want to see you. So he tells me, Santa has said, I'm looking at the mountain over there, if you see the mountain then you you'll see me but Allah subhana wa Jalla makes the mountain collapse and completely destroyed and Musa alayhis salam, he passes out, he faints and then when he comes back, he you know, he submits to a muscle panel with Allah even more than he did before. right he fully submits, he knows this kind of law, this cannot be done, except
with the power of Allah subhana wa tada the whole mountain just, you know, collapse to dust. So musala has sent him he returns and he finds his people. And we discussed this earlier in verses 163 to 169, how many minutes we have left?
Six minutes, okay, and Sharma is good. In verses 163 to 169.
Allah subhanho wa Taala, he talks about the Jews and the Sabbath. And Allah subhanho wa Taala mentions how he was upset with the way that the Jews would mock and make ridicule of,
or deceitful things and tricks that they would do in order to get through their Sabbath day. And this is something that is still around today. I remember when my brother was hospitalized, you know, a few years back, he was placed into the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal. And so Pamela on Saturday, which is the Sabbath day,
you know, the Jewish are not allowed to do any work. And included in that means they're not allowed to push the button on the elevator, because that's considered a type of work.
And so what they do is they program the elevator. And there's actually a little sign there, saying that the elevator will stop at every single floor going up and coming down for the entire time of the Sabbath, it will go up and stop at every single floor. So if you're at the 12th floor, and you need to come down, and the elevator is on its way up, well, you're going to go up to whatever 16th floor, you get on 12 1314 1516, you're going to stop at every single floor and then stop at every single floor coming down as well. In that elevator, it's annoying, but that elevator is programmed to do that for the Sabbath. It's the Jewish General Hospital, right? The entire neighborhood is
Jewish. Even the street names are Jewish street names in Montreal. So Allah subhanho wa Taala had allowed me to experience that also when I was there, the patient in the bed next to my brother was a Jewish lady, a very old lady. And the rabbi came to see this Jewish lady and he was wearing this black trench coat with his hat and you know, the sideburns and stuff and he had his Bluetooth earpiece in his ear. Now, this was quite a few years ago, when you know, you'd see people using Bluetooth but you wouldn't see people using voice command very often. So So kind of like he got a phone call. And he just opened his trench coat looked inside, he saw the phone showed the number he
can't push the button on the phone or the Bluetooth, because they're not allowed to work. Right. And this is to show how even till today, they're still sort of, you know, using trickery in ways that Allah subhana wa tada would be disliked with
which was also mentioned in the Quran at that time, you know, using this trickery to try and get around doing any sort of work. So he used voice commands and answer call. Alright, and so he answered the call and spoken and, and call and voice command, turn the phone off. And so I was like, wow, and at that time, like this was a few years, maybe five, six years ago.
That was strange, right to see that. Now it's very common. So so kinda, they're still you know, doing this in their ways, and unless
accountable better. And I mentioned that in the Quran in verse 180, Allah subhanho wa Taala talks about his beautiful names. And he says that we should call upon him in the names that he likes. And this is what Allah Subhana Allah loves for us, as we mentioned into our heart, the importance of making dua, how we should call upon Allah subhanho wa Taala and the ways that he loves verse 187, Allah subhanho wa Taala discusses the end of times, as we touched upon yesterday, and mentions that we don't know none of us know the, the actual moment when the end of times will come in verses 189 to 190. Allah subhana wa tada shows us how we should turn to Allah and asked for pious children, but
then don't be of those who turn to Allah and asked her pious children and don't be pious. So Allah mentions people who request for goodness from a Muslim hang with a hand and say, you know, grant is a pious child and we will be good we will be obedient. And when Allah grants you that pious child, you're not obedient and a lot doesn't find you in the way that you said you would be. So Allah subhanho wa Taala warns us about that. Don't say that you're going to be a certain way if you're granted something and then you don't do that. And the last verse that we'll take, inshallah, tada is verse number 199, Allah subhanho wa Taala shows forgiveness. He and he encourages us to show
forgiveness he encourages us to enjoin in goodness in spreading goodness with others, and to turn away from the foolish. So if you're talking to someone communicating with someone, enjoying and goodness, be be forgiving, be humble with others, right? Talk to them nicely. And if someone is being foolish with you, then just leave them alone. Smile and walk away. Right, smile and walk away, be good, enjoying and goodness, but leave off the foolish. And you'll notice some Halloween someone comes right up to your face and talks to you and says something bad to you about your dean or something of that sort. And you know, they're just really getting in getting on your nerves, smile
at them and just walk away. And wow, you would have sent them a powerful message you'll see how annoyed they will be. You thought you were annoyed with what they were saying to you smile in their face and just walk away as though you've got the world under your shoes. Not that you're prideful and powerful in that sense, but because you follow the command of Allah subhanho wa Taala that you're going to leave for the sake of pleasing Allah subhanho wa Taala this person is being foolish, and you'll see how annoyed they become and you would have delivered a very powerful message to them. But be careful of using pride. Don't be prideful. Don't be arrogant, right? Allah subhanho wa Taala
warns us about that. We ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to make it easy for us to understand and to implement. The lessons that we learned in these verses of the Quran are some of our sentiment about our God and Amina Mohammed Juana and Iwasaki listening
