Bismillah al Rahman al Rahim al hamdu Lillahi Rabbil alameen wa Salatu was Salam. ala Nabi Karim, Allah hit of Masada to atoma tasneem rubbish. Luckily sodbury way acidity MD Weiland, aka determinedly Sania of Gabor Kohli, my brothers and sisters in Islam a sin Mr. De Kumara Rahmatullahi wa barakato
Mashallah
must be Malik right. Okay, so today inshallah Johanna, we're gonna do a couple of things. All right, we have a Kahoot quiz at the end hamdulillah we're gonna do a little bit of an analysis, but I want those guys that are playing basketball out there to come inside and Sharla not because they're making noise or disturbing us To be honest, I can't really hear them. But I just wanted us to do something together. So when everyone is in here, right, you have about 30 seconds, then we're going to do something in a lot of time. Before we do that, though, we'll touch upon what today's topic will be. Today's topic will be about and we're going along with the theme of test giftedness
purification of the soul, etc. We're going to talk about sada and how solar is a protection. And so that is something that helps us to stay away from the evils that are out there. But we also see that Sala itself is something that brings us closer to Allah subhana wa tada and takes away from some of the hardships and pressures and you know, difficulties of life. Before we go any further quick reminder again, to the sisters, I know quite a few came out anyone that wants to there's a partition up there. So you can, you know, just come through the white door on your left side. And, you know, you could sort of be part of the congregation here.
So again, those guys that are playing basketball, I mean, let's go Hurry up. All right. So before we do this little bit of an experiment, right? Just to give the the lazy basketball players out there a chance to come in. What we're gonna do is touch upon a verse of the Quran. Now Allah Subhana Allah says in verse number 124, of sotah ha so that's 2124 Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us he says women are behind victory for in Allah humeri schatten banca Allah subhanho wa Taala says whoever sways away or distances themselves moves away from the remembrance of Allah subhanho wa Taala whoever is you know, not trying to get closer but trying to get further away from the remembrance of Allah
subhana wa tada for in Allah humeri schatten vancare for that person is a life or we could even say a phase or a span within their life of depression
a moment or a time where they go through difficulties and feel stuck. And we know there's some panela we've been talking about depression, we've been talking about anxiety, we've been talking about cleanliness of the heart and the soul. We spoke about, you know, Ria showing off and how sometimes, you know, we feel as though we are not as important to person unless we get noticed by others and this builds our, you know, confidence level sometimes in a wrong way. It builds our ego allows us to be more confident with ourselves and so on and so forth. But what we see here some common law
is that Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us for any one of us that is stuck. Any one of us feeling as though we're in a difficult position in our life. Allah subhanho wa Taala says women are huddled on victory for Angular humare schatten banca which means if we were to analyze this from a different angle, if we were to get closer to Allah subhana wa Tada. Then maybe just maybe with the help of Allah, we wouldn't feel as down or we wouldn't feel as stuck in our lives.
Okay.
So Allah subhana wa tada then continues in this verse, he says, one should go home Yeoman Giamatti
karma, that when I should whoo yo Tiana Tiana, that we will raise that person.
Right, those that are swinging away from the remembrance of Allah subhana wa tada we will raise them How? What is ama?
ama is blind. Allah Subhana Allah says that we will raise them blind, but blind to what blind does and I can't see where I'm going. The scholars have to see too They say that that person is blind to the bounties of paradise. They are blind from actually seeing the goodness of Paradise, the reward for things that they would have done in this life. Allah subhana wa tada makes them blind to that as in they don't get to see it, they don't get to benefit from it. Of course we know for a time being until whether Allah Subhana Allah decides for that you know, period of time to be longer or shorter for a person to receive either a punishment or Allah Subhana Allah forgives them completely forgives
them, and that person enters paradise. Now with regards to our
Topics Ah, now we mentioned that this verse is important because Allah subhanho wa Taala also shows us in the Quran, Allah, the Vickery law he taught me in Niccolo that it is not but with the remembrance of Allah subhanho wa Taala that the hearts there at peace they feel tranquil you know we we are content we're happy and that's what the remembrance of Allah subhanho wa tada Okay, so we're going to do this exercise because I see most of the guys from out there in here in sha Allah tada
How should I do this? Should I do this with the older people that shoot I do it the younger people Is everyone okay to stand up? Yeah, young, older okay to stand. Yeah. And everyone here is saying we're not old. What are you talking about? We're not old right? So some Hannah let's do this in sha Allah.
youngest to oldest.
Okay, that might work. Alright, we'll do that. So I'm going to ask everyone to stand up.
Everyone has to stand up good. So Malik says we'll do a youngest to oldest we'll try the youngest to oldest right then maybe we'll do the oldest to youngest. Okay, so youngest to oldest Who here is five and below. Whoever's below five, five and below sit down your five Okay, you sit down. Good. All right. Whoever here is 10 and below Sit down.
Okay, Who here is 15 and under sit down
okay. 15 and under good. Um, that in law? Which means Are you guys 15 or under 15?
Your Your what?
How old are you?
12 good. Sit down. What about you? 21 good. Mashallah. Stand up. No, Stand up. Stand up. You're 21 you're in the mustard. I mean, if you're not 21 and you're saying you're 21 you're in the masjid. Alright, hello. Sit down. Hum did Allah he learned his lesson? Okay, so anyone who's 15 and under is sitting down good. Hum did Allah which means everyone who standings on that is compulsory upon us.
A lot of prayer is compulsory for every single one of us. Which means everyone who's standing right now sit down, and everyone who's sitting down, stand up.
Good. So this is a generalization when we say 15 because some people become mature before the age of 15. Right? So if there's anyone who's standing who is mature, and maybe your parents have taught you what it means to become mature, if they haven't, maybe one day, we need to set this private class up inshallah, right? Something that we don't do with many people. So anyone here who's 15 and under, it should be standing up. Unless you're mature, then you sit down. So everyone that's standing up. No, no, no, no, you stay standing.
Everyone that's standing up, technically, unless they're mature, and we've told them if you're mature, you sit down. Technically, anyone who's standing up, doesn't necessarily have to pray saw that.
Right? As in, it's not compulsory upon them yet. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't be praying because we know very well the Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, teach them how to pray from the age of seven. Very good, right? And make sure that you're praying by the age of 10. But what I wanted to point out here is some handle that sometimes we come in, and I know I was praying, and I was right near the wall. And we hear the basketball going still, I saw that was taking place, right? And a lot of the time we come in and we get really upset. Like what's wrong with you guys? Like when I came in? I heard the comment. I was like, Come on, guys. Hey, let's go.
Let's go. Let's go and pray. Right. But sometimes what we don't understand is it isn't really compulsory upon them yet to pray.
So we shouldn't be so harsh upon them. Now, of course, for some of you that are almost as tall as me, yeah, you should be praying. Right? Right. But you Malik Mashallah, you're like up to my waist here. Okay. All right. But what we're doing here, you can sit down now, what we're doing here is just just showing us how sometimes panela we, as parents, we force our children to grow quicker than they're actually supposed to be.
And what happens in that process, is that we tend to sometimes feel really down and depressed and sad, like the world just isn't happening for us. Because we're forcing people to do things that are technically not right upon them yet. It's not a right upon them yet. They don't have to pray. They don't have to do certain things. Now, every single person has their own way of parenting. And believe me, half of these guys, I think they should have been sitting down as well, right? If it was, if it was my rules, I would say you guys should all be praying. All right, except maybe Moloch and a couple of these guys, but how to love what we learned from that
is that prayer is important for us to learn not only to just pray
But what were praying, like what are we doing? What are we saying? What am I reciting in my Salah? What's the importance of prayer, and many of us we feel distant from Allah subhanho wa Taala. And we feel that sadness inside of us simply because we don't even understand what prayer is itself. I don't know what Sadat is, right a person tells himself, I don't even know why I have to raise my hand, why do I raise my hands? Why do I go and record? Why do I go into jute? And we know that Allah subhanho wa Taala teaches us allow the Vickery law he taught me in Nakuru, that it's with the remembrance of Allah subhanho wa Taala that we feel calm and content and happy and pleased. But
sometimes, so that makes us stressed. You're standing praying, the guy next to you keeps elbowing you, right, you're standing praying and someone is stepping on your toes, or you go to pray and someone is like, whew, man, that person needs to take a shower. Right? Or for some of you who might come and give me some time and think, oh, what kind of perfume you're wearing today, right? Because Because our brother Mashallah he always gives me He knows I like arute. And I always make sure that it wears off before I get home because my wife doesn't like the smell of it, right? But I love it. And so some kind of lights. Amazing, right? It's amazing how sometimes we come to the masjid, or we
simply stand for our prayer, but it's something that makes us upset.
And for the youth, what we really want to point out here is that we shouldn't make them upset to come to the house of Allah subhanho wa Taala. We shouldn't make them upset. We shouldn't make them feel like oh, you know, every time I go there, meet the grumpy Uncle and Auntie, right? There's always that Uncle and Auntie that's, that makes us really upset as youth. Right? Because they force us they're too strict with us. But those of us that feel that Uncle and Auntie are too strict on us, simply because they love us. And we just don't we don't understand their point of view and they don't understand our point of view as well as youth right? And so some handler we just need to be
patient with one another. And ask Allah subhanho wa Taala through this Allah to grant us patience and ease.
Who move on in sha Allah to Allah the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he says, A wa Luma your house will be he loved the very first thing that we as believers will give account to and that doesn't mean question. As in, we actually have to give account we need to prove why we prayed how we prayed. When we prayed when we didn't pray, why we didn't pray, why we prayed too fast. We have to give account for our Salah. This is where the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam teaches us Oh aluma your house it will be he'll add a sweater. And so on the Day of Judgment, the very first thing that Allah subhanho wa Taala will listen to us with regards to his Salah. Our prayers. Now we asked
ourselves, if solar is something that gives me happiness because it's remembrance of Allah? And if so that is something that brings me into paradise. And so Allah can give me the ability to see or allow me the ability to see Allah subhanho wa Taala. Why am I rushing in my prayer?
Why am I speeding through my sauna? Why am I missing prayers. Now we know very well, this time of the year, especially for the adults, it's really difficult sometimes to be on time for motivated.
Right? Because we're at work, and we're coming home from work, and the sunsets and pretty much by the time we get home, it's all it's almost time for a show. It's really difficult sometimes. But this is where we need to learn the importance of solder. Because when we know how important solder is, we will be willing to pull over every single day on the way home from work just to pray.
Right? We'll be willing to do that we'll we'll find a safe haven a safe spot where we could stop our car make whoo before we leave work, stop somewhere, pray solid pray motive and continue going right or figure out a way if we can't stop if there's a way that we can't stop. Then we ask what can we do in that situation? I had a you know a student of mine who is a captain of a ship. Right? This is a student who attended a course I taught in Brisbane, Australia. and Canada, his house he moved so that his house, there's nothing between his home and the mustard. Like literally he comes out of his house and he just walks over his grass, and he's in the mustard parking lot. And he lives that close
to the mustard. But he was asking me this question. He's like, you know, I'm the captain of a ship. And so when I go to work, I'm gone for a few days at a time, right? And he's like, while I'm conducting the ship, right steering the ship. He goes, I can't pray like I can't stop to pray.
So what do we do? And he's like, I love prayer. I live right next to the mustard. I'm always in the mustard. But when I'm at work, I can't stop the ship. Like I can't just leave the ship is gonna flow somewhere else. I can't just stop and praying. And so if we're in that situation, we can ask, we ask what do we do, right? For a person like that they'll combine their prayers. And I'm not giving this as a blanket statement for everyone now to say, Oh, you know what, as we're driving home, we can't just close our eyes and start praying or something. So let's just you know, combine
No, we ask we find out. And so we see here that Allah subhanaw taala has made prayer something really easy upon us. In fact, when prayer was made compulsory upon us, how many prayers did we have to pray initially?
50 as in the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam was given the command from Allah subhanho wa Taala when he went up right during his song, Raj and Allah Subhana, Allah told him that we have to pray 50 times a day, and there's a prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is coming down Who does he meet?
Prophet Musa, Allah has sent up Prophet Musa and he sent him What does he tell him to do?
You forgot
you forgot split second memory loss right? Mashallah.
Exactly he says it's too much for people to pray 50 times a day so.
So go back to Allah subhana wa Tada. Look at that. Look at the bravery. Look at the courage of mousse Allah has sent him he tells the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, go back and tell or ask Allah Subhana Allah to lighten the load. Pray less than 50 times. So what happens when he goes back the first time
it's reduced by five. And then what happens? prophet muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he leaves he's happy Okay, we're gonna pray 45 times now a day right? 45 times a day. Then what happens?
he lowers at five more is in Moosa and Sam tells the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu I need to send them Go back. Go back and ask Allah Subhana Allah to lessen it. And so he brings it down by five. And this keeps happening over and over until it reaches how much
10 five Yeah, five
reaches five. Right? And that goes to show us how merciful Allah subhana wa tada is upon us in terms of Salah. And for every single prayer that we pray, how much is it equivalent to?
It's like praying 10 times, right? We get the reward of 27 times. But for each prayer, it's considered the equivalent if we're speaking about it's about one American origin incident and, you know, Sala it's equal to 10 prayers. So for every prayer, we just prayed a shot. It's like we prayed those 10 those nine other prayers that we were supposed to pray and that's how merciful Allah subhana wa tada is so merciful of us. haddaway Tana is with regards to prayer. But he's also very strict with prayer. Because on the Day of Judgment, the very first thing that we have to give account for is Salah prayer. Very good. All right, I want to make sure I keep looking at my notes
because I want to make sure I don't miss anything that's going to come up on the quiz and shot a lot of time okay. So we see that Sala itself is something that is sacred Allah subhanho wa Taala gave that prayer to Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and told him to bring it to us, as in bring the command to us, but who taught the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam how to pray?
Someone else? Okay, you answered a few already. gibreel Allah, his Sunnah, right? The angel gibreel. He teaches the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam how to pray and when to pray. So it's a divine thing. It's a beautiful thing. And for us, we're adults who are mature who need to pray. When we pray. We're not just praying like oh no, I have to pray.
No. This is a command from the one who created us. We must pray.
And when we pray, we are given forgiveness. And when we pray, Allah subhana wa tada shows us as well. Aside from Allah, be Vickery LA, he talks about Indian Kuru, that the prayer, it grants us peace and tranquility. Allah subhanho wa Taala also says in Sonata 10. And in fact, you will mooncup that solid prayer itself, it pushes away or it protects us from the evils that are out there, from the dangers of society. And so sada is like building a shield around us. We're busy in sauna, and we constantly pray. And so for the times that we're not praying, we're protected. Or there's a protective layer upon us. Because we can't just say we're completely protected, because then people
will ask a question, well, I pray five times a day, but I still commit sins. Every single one of us will continue to commit sins, small sins, some of us big sins. And that's something that we have to continuously deal with. Continuously challenge ourselves with pushing off those sins, staying away from those sins, even though we pray there becomes this protective layer, then it becomes harder for us to sin, not easier. It becomes harder for us to sin. And so Allah subhanho wa Taala had, you know, gives us that freedom
Through our prayer, and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he also teaches us something else. He says in a hadith on authentic Hadees, and this is part of a hadith mentioned in Soho body. He says something along with it, he was seldom, he left the room in early Myrtle click on the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says Eclair form in an email to three point, as in, do the things that you can do. But don't do so much that you can't focus on them. Right? Don't bite more than you can chew as the statement goes in English, right? Don't bite more than you can chew. That's not the words of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. That's a statement that we learn that sometimes
you take this chocolate bar, you see a child, right, a child is eating what happens or eating breakfast and putting like two pieces of eggs through these spoonfuls of eggs in their mouth, and all of a sudden,
they can't even speak. And you ask them something you like, did you brush your teeth? Like Yes, and all this food comes flying out of their mouth, right? They bit too much. They put too much in their mouth that they can't handle it. It's too much to control. And so we see here the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he tells us Don't take too much that you can't do what you're taking, as in focus on your sold out first is what I'm trying to point out here. So that is absolutely important. It's so important that if it's the first thing that we're going to be asked about and have to give account to, for on the Day of Judgment. That means that our sauna is more important than the other
things that we need to do in our Deen. If our sauna is not correct, then everything else will help us later on, but it's not equal to our sauna. So what we see here is what's more important sauna. We're going for hedge.
sauna. Okay, going for hedge. Why?
Because you have to do it. But what if you say, you know what, I'm not gonna press one. I'm just gonna go for hedge. I'll go for hedge every year. Just won't pray. So for the times that I'm supposed to pray, I'm gonna work another job. Right for the those five hours. Actually, we don't pray for five hours in a day. But pretty much only pray for like
each other guys one minute. Right? How many? Do we have to pray a day? We have fudge out to vote for that six?
And then 15 minutes? No, no more than
more than that. All right. So let's just say 20 minutes, 25 minutes into the half an hour in a day we have to pray that's like you're praying your Sunday you're taking it easy, you're chilling, right? So kind of a half an hour and 24 hours. How much is that? Some people take their phones, sadly. And they sit on their phone. If we were to look at the amount of time that we use our phones for in a day, we
probably guarantee ourselves that we use our phones for longer than the time that we actually spend praying. Think of it. And I'm not saying use your phone for work. You're using your phone for things that you don't even need to do. Just surfing the internet checking things out looking at something that you use, sorry, you know, something new, so you're just using your phone, right? And we can all do that we can all go and check how long we've used our phone in a day. You could check the usage of your phone, you can get applications to check that for you. Listen handle other prophets that along with it. He was seldom when he sent Wahhabi bingeable to Yemen. What did he tell them? He said teach
them first of all, after the Shahada after their belief in Allah Subhana Allah to Allah and the profits and alohar and even some of them as the last messenger What did he tell him to teach the people
sada teach them saga first. Then for in one of our who leaves Alec once they've actually established prayer in their day in their life, then teach them about zecca Okay, that at that time, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said teach them about zakat. And so we see here somehow the importance of Salah that it must be done, it must be done regardless of whether we go for Hajj, or we don't go for Hajj, because not every one of us can afford it yet right. Many of us have not gone for Hajj. We can't afford it yet. But we still have to pray. It doesn't cost us anything to pray as well. It's very easy. Even if we can't afford to pay for water, we make Thai on them. Right? We don't really
need money in order to pray. It becomes very easy for us to pray. A patient who's sick in a hospital bed can easily pray a doctor while performing the surgery can easily pray. And a lot of people ask this question how do they do that? Right? I know how to law some some doctors right what they do. This is just a side note. It's not on the quiz. Don't worry what they do some doctors because they're in the middle of the surgery. Right? And they can't stop. What are you going to do is like open heart surgery or you have surgery on the brain and removing a tumor. That's very central.
But they still have to pray. And what do we learn from that the scholars deduce from looking at other evidences of things that happened during the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam in particular battle, which is very difficult there in the battlefield, but they still had to pray. Imagine that your enemy is coming at you, but you still need to pray you're sold out. Right? It's time for sellout. What do you do? They pray by simply blinking their eyes.
They say that, you know that they say Allahu Akbar, they say their door, they say the, you know,
the recitation of the Quran, they, you know, performed little CT, they perform this salute by blinking their eyes. That's it. And so Subhana Allah, Allah has made some so easy upon us. But we find as though it's very difficult, let's move on in sha Allah hota hada.
I don't want to miss anything. I'm trying to make sure I don't miss anything.
Allah subhanho wa Taala has made Sala very interesting for us, in the sense that
for those of us that feel lazy sometimes for sada, when it comes time to pray, and this is for our youth, as well. All Allah subhanho wa Taala has to do is change one thing in our life for us, just change one thing, and immediately we begin to see the importance of Salah, I'll give you an example. Someone goes to see the doctor and they have this pain in their back. Or they have a pain in their shoulder pain in their hip pain in their knee. And the doctor looks at it and says, Okay, let's do some x rays, and they do some x rays. And then they say, you know, we need to do a couple of scans here. So they go and do a scan.
Or someone goes in and says, You know, I just have a spot, just a little spot on my skin. And they go to the doctor, like, you know, I don't know what this is, it looks weird. Just check it out. What do you think it is. And the doctor tells that person, you have cancer,
or you have some illness, you have some disease. All it took was for a loss of Hannah Montana to change one thing in that person's life.
And immediately that person begins to pray.
So Pamela, today was talking about this at Yamaha as well, I use this this example. And a brother came to me afterwards. And he said, you know, something happened to me in my life about a year ago, year and a half ago. And all it took was for that one incident to happen for me to realize that I need to begin praying, I need to focus on my prayers. I need to be someone who's connected to a law, because he said I started to go through depression. And I started to go through anxiety. And I started to feel stuck in this world as though nothing was going to be good for me. I wouldn't I wouldn't benefit at all. I'm not going to live forever. And he started to feel really sad and really
depressed. And he began to pray. He says now I feel good. I'm not 100% but I feel good. says I'm happy. I don't feel depressed. I don't feel stuck. I feel happy. I come to the masjid all the time, I feel free. And that's important for us. SubhanAllah because when we rush to the masjid, or when we rush to pray when it's time to pray, as in we don't rush when we get there. We're huffing and puffing, but we prioritize our prayer. Then Allah subhanho wa Taala knows that we've prioritized coming to him. So he prioritizes things that we need in our lives. Right? Let's Cujo La Jolla, could we hear this in our drama football all the time, usually at the end of cotulla high of Kodachrome.
What the rule who Yes Did you Bella come remember a line he'll remember you? So when we remember Allah subhana wa tada Allah subhana wa tarhana remembers us.
Allah subhanho wa Taala has also placed hikmah wisdom in the timings of prayers for us. How many of you feel as though it's very difficult to pray in the afternoon?
You looking at your dad, like, Am I gonna get in trouble if I do this one?
Like, Dad, I'm telling you, I can't play video games in the afternoon. Right? Right. How long did it last? Good. Your honesty is great. I love that about you know, you just being honest. Because Allah subhanho wa Taala strategically puts Allah mainly in the later part of the day. Why?
When we look at the importance of our day, and you look at people who are focusing on time management, and you look at CEOs of companies, you look at managers, you look at people who make much more money than us and we say how do they do this? You look at those who have memorized the Quran and you wonder how did they memorize the Quran and it's not except with waking up early in the morning and struggling and Allah subhana wa tada encourages us to wake up early in the morning by doing what we have to wake up to pray fudger up anyways. We don't have a choice. He forces us to get up. You get up in the morning and what happens? Those that are extremely good in terms of their
work, those that are really successful in their businesses, and many
Making money and gaining higher status and position. Those people will tell you, I don't sleep in in the morning, even though they don't even have to go to work. They might have millions. I know someone who said Pamela, I don't know him personally. But I've read up about him. And I've, you know, sort of learned a few things from this person. So Pamela, this person is near $500 million $500 million. You know what he says? Get up before budget.
Get up before budget. And before funds have begin your day. He's not saying get up at fudger he's before budget, get up, begin your day and start planning your day. What am I going to do today? prioritize this day, today might be my only day. What am I going to do? What do I have to do in this day? So Hannah law, that's someone who could just sleep through the whole day, I don't even need to get up, man I could use I could use a million dollars a day for the next, you know, I could use a million dollars a year for the next 500 years. And I'll be set. But some analysts still gets up in the morning and plans their date before.
And so Allah subhana wa tada then makes us work. You see, we get up for fun, and we work all day until they'll work really hard to push yourself Excel. And at VOD costs, you take a break. Does anyone here work in construction or work? You know, labor does something that that's physically requiring? No, no one handed in law. That's good. We all have good, good jobs, right? where we sit down and then we get back pain and we get knee pain. And we are our eyes are strained and we got carpal tunnel syndrome, all these pains, right? So Pamela, but you notice how Allah subhana wa Tada, you sitting there at your desk, or you're at your work where you're lifting wood and you're welding
and you're working really hard and it's time for thought and you take that break from your work, and you go and you pray. Do you know how beautiful that's such that feels. And you get down on the ground and then you sit down and you know, you just ah you like steel? Good hamdulillah Allah subhanho wa Taala strategically put soil out like that. And then in the afternoon, when the day starts to get cooler, it's easier for us to do our eba especially when we live in hot countries. It's easier to do it at the time of the date when it's cool. And Allah subhana wa tada puts the, you know, three prayers in the evening. Awesome. Love it have a shot at times of the day where it gets
cooler, right? hamdulillah Be careful. Hey, good, Sha, Allah. Alright, one last thing. One last point that I'm making shut down before we do this quiz.
Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us Actually, no, we'll put that aside. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam shows us something really important. Right before he passes away. What does he say?
What is the last piece of advice that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam gave us
Okay, what else?
Salah. What about solar who knows what he said sort Allahu Allahu wa sallam.
Wah
wah
monoket a mono con. I sought out a smaller one that malakut a mono con. These are from the last words of the prophets on Allahu Allah, he was sending them the last bit of advice that he gives to us before leaving this world and remember we begin our lecture tonight about how how the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam tells us the first thing that Allah subhanho wa Taala will request us to give account for is Salah. And the last thing that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is is advising us before he dies, his Sunnah. He says a smaller, a smaller one, I'm gonna get a mono con. So now focus on your prayers, why it grants you success in this life and in the Hereafter. But then
he also says woman America is a man who can fulfill your responsibilities. How many of you have responsibilities? Raise your hand if you have responsibilities?
I do you know, Mashallah, we all have responsibilities. Even the children here have responsibilities, right? You have to respect your parents, you have the responsibility of playing for a portion of the day, right? You have the responsibility of still eating halon and making sure that you go to the places your parents allow you to go to. And so every single one of us has responsibilities. And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam made that very clear. From amongst our responsibilities is Allah from amongst our responsibilities is Hajj from amongst our responsibilities is Zakah, and so on and so forth. And so it's important for us to focus on that.
But before we conclude, ask yourself one question.
If today was your last day,
and we don't wake up tomorrow.
And we ask Allah Subhana Allah to protect us and grant us long lives upon a man. I mean, say I mean, I mean
All right, if today was our last day,
and tomorrow, we don't wake up
with anything else in this world that we were running after the iPad, the iPhone, the new car, the you know, upgrade the business, Would any of that matter to us? No. But would we feel sad, right now, knowing that today could be my last day, and I didn't make up the prayers that I missed? Of course, of course, because we know very well that that's more important than everything else that we worked for. And so my brothers and sisters, ask yourself this question all the time. If today is my last day, have I fulfilled the rights of Allah subhanho wa Taala upon me, today,
we ask Allah subhana wa Taala to make that easy for every single one of us. I mean, Hello, we're going to do this quiz in sha Allah, Who, tada I had quite a few things written down. And I tried to make sure that my quiz covered everything on there. And I hope I covered everything that I wrote down so that we know the answers on the quiz. inshallah, Tad, but I'm going to warn you in advance. There's a trick question on the quiz today. Okay, there's a trick question. And so you're going to need to use your brain
very, very, you know, strategically to try and answer these questions in shallow Tad. So I tried to, I tried to make this quiz
more suitable to various different age groups. So I challenge a little bit of the older guys as well
in the quiz shot a lot.
Okay, so the code is coming up just now just hold on a second.
Okay, so for those of you that are taking part in the quiz,
we also have $10 as a prize today. All right, all of a sudden, they're coming back in $10 right. And you simply go to
kahoot.it kahoot.it
so let me check if that
there should be an account a guest account. Do you see the guest account
it wasn't there last time
Hold on.
And I don't see it there today either right.
For the magic Do you know do you know what we did with that Guest account that we created?
No brother voice he created a guest account but I don't see it anymore.
Okay, so we'll have to just tether so whoever who needs internet
you oh wow you guys none of you have data on your phone.
Okay, so team up with the person next to you just tether with the person next to you inshallah.
No, you can't use my phone
Okay, so we're gonna ask those that are sitting next to someone else just try and tether with them in shallow Tana will give you an extra minute to do that.
Just create a hotspot share the password username and password with someone
Yeah, but the the guest account is not showing up
tethering Good luck
you know,
I'll give you another like 30 seconds to a minute inshallah. Okay, because I know some of you are going to tether
so we have nobody today and somebody as well.
Interesting.
2017 is dead.
Anyone else need more time? Just raise your hand if you need more time. Okay, good.
Where's supermatic?
You have a new friend.
All right, everyone good? Yeah. Anyone need more time?
You do
I see them typing it in right now.
Hey, oh, we're gonna get 35
or the two of you in
Are you in?
You good? Yeah, you too.
Okay, we're gonna start inshallah. Hi. Yeah.
One minute.
Good. All right, there we go unbeatable, right under the law. All right, we're gonna start with smilla.
There are 10 questions. And today. Last week, I only gave you 10 seconds today. I'll give you 20 seconds per question. Okay.
Miss Miller?
What's the first thing servants of Allah will have to give account for on the Day of Judgment,
belief, Shahada prayer or fasting.
And you shouldn't say the answer out loud. Because then you'll help other people.
Okay, I can't see how many of you got that but some kind of law. Prayer is the right answer is handed in law. Remember it says servants of a law right? Those who worship Allah subhana wa Tada, good. Boo, Boo. Boo Boo.
Where's the,
um, the law? Let's see if he stays on top. If he does, he'll bring us some watermelon later. Sharla. Alright, question number two. When we pray five times a day. It's a it's as though we prayed 10 times 50 times 27 times five times.
Everyone got that one really quick. Some people said 10 times so I said when we pray five times a day. Right? Not when we pray one time.
Okay, one time is equal to 10 times but five times a day. It's as though we prayed 20 sorry, 50 times and 26 have you got that right Alhamdulillah. So we have nobody on top and somebody next
question number three, who taught prophet muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam how to pray? Was it gibreel Nika il Allah or he learned it through way.
Hey, Masha, Allah 33 of you got it right. You selected jabril alayhis salam, the Angel gibreel thought Allah, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam how to pray very good.
And nobody is still leading the way.
So somebody will win. Allahu Akbar.
That's great for Marwan
and Abu bothy, who will provide the watermelon. Next question, fill in the blank from reciting Surah Al Fatiha, we learned that prayer is from Allah. This is one that we didn't discuss. Think of soldato Fatiha. In particular a DNS set up URL must have been
very good. They'll handle a lot. The majority of you got this Remember I told you I made it a little bit difficult today. Okay. So there's going to be some questions that you're going to be I don't get it. So here we see that from reciting Surah 1230 how we learned that prayer is guidance from Allah subhanho wa Taala and in our Salah, what do we say we say, you know, set off all muster theme guide us to that straight path. And so Allah subhanho wa Taala doesn't only make prayer as guidance for us, in Salah We also asked for guidance
Alright, so that's important for us to analyze. And somebody still on top of that,
we move on next question question five who said the following statement don't take upon you except the deeds which are within your ability. We said this
process prophet muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam the angel gibreel Allah subhanho wa Taala or Prophet Musa alayhis salam.
Remember, don't bite more than you can chew.
Very good prophet muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. All right, he's the one that said
don't take upon yourself from the actions from Eva more than you're capable of doing.
Yeah, there's a score so far. We're halfway through. So we have another five questions child law. Okay, question number six. Which of the following actions is more important than the others?
prayers, fasting or Hajj? You should all get this one.
Oh,
that's good. these are these are from the challenges of the quiz.
There we go. All right. So the actions which are more important than the others sada remember the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said Allah, Allah, the bane and our bainham tarkus Allah, that the covenant that is between us and those that don't believe in Allah Subhana Allah is Allah and when we leave off Sunnah, then it pushes us outside of Islam, right? Because we're not fulfilling the rights of Allah subhana wa Tada.
Okay, so somebody is still winning. And then we have the three stars. Who are the three stars. Okay, 100 Allah,
and is the six people or just one person.
We have six chocolate bars as well. Question seven, test your memory, which sutra and verse number refers to the verse about living in depression. For those that were playing basketball at the very beginning, you lost out on this? Is it 104 20? Is it 2124? Is it 224 or 4204? And I'll give you a hint
at five seconds.
Sorta Ha.
It is 2124
so about Baja, verse number 124 where Allah subhana wa tada speaks about living a difficult or struggling life, right?
Masha Allah hamdulillah who's somebody somebody won last week, didn't they?
You did right? Did you win last week? You're closest to that that's I think, you know, the further away you go the slower our eyes see the screen or something Shama handed in
Alright, question number eight. How many hardships does Allah Subhana Allah need to place upon us before we realize the importance of salah and I gave this as an example
Is it 341 or two?
That's all it takes. Remember, we said someone could be diagnosed with some sort of illness and some kind of law that becomes difficult for them and they realize the importance of sada
Alright, hamdulillah interesting score. Hey, a question number nine. What were the last two things that Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu I need to send them advise us to do justice towards
Sunnah and earning money saw that and work responsibilities and the recitation of the Quran or responsibilities and Salah
Mashallah 10 of you got it wrong.
Two people selected Solon earning money which hamdulillah are good priorities as well. All right seven of you said sauna and work which Mashallah is very interesting responsibilities and the recitation of the Quran one person selected that and the rest of you selected responsibilities on sada right. Now I use the word responsibilities when I was describing it or explaining it before. I saw that I saw that one
I'm gonna get a monocle and your responsibilities upon you. Okay?
All right. So this is going to be the last question that we're coming to now.
Hey,
nobody is the highest climber? Yeah.
Nobody has claimed high enough yet. Um, de la
masala hamdulillah. All right. I saw lots of other color. Okay, this is the last question. And this is the trick question. So take your time answering this one. All right. Here we go.
If you love for a Muslim, what you love for yourself? Are you willing to get this question wrong?
No, I'm greedy. Yeah, but it's hard to deal with my knifes or Yes.
Are you willing to get this question wrong to let someone else when
all of them are right.
So you could say no, I'm not willing to get this question wrong, or Yes, I am willing to get this question wrong. Or I'm greedy. So you know, I'm just beginning to be greedy. Or Yeah, but it's hard to deal with minus, right. So whoever selected whatever you selected, your selection is right? Because it describes who you are. I can't say that what you've selected about you is wrong. And so you all got it, right. But again, it goes by time. So let's see what the final score is. And somebody wins on top of hamdulillah with 9444 45 points. hamdulillah. Do you want to see the results?
Let's see those results in sha Allah.
Alright, so somebody gets the $10 today? hamdulillah I'm not gonna disqualify you. I mean, it's only fair. How old are you?
12 years old. That is handed in a very quick, very quick, for 12 years old.
Hey, here we go. Here are your results.
And I remember last week, you all said change a tab, change the tab.
There you go. final scores. So somebody was in first place.
Somebody else was in second place. We don't know who that is.
The three was in third place. So they next time they should be the one and they might be the one in first place. Right.
Hong Kong came in fourth place. And Toronto was in fifth place that I had nobody Matawan RJ Where's Malik? Malik is in 25th Chris.
Super Malik comes in in LA.
Alright, so that's it for today. Alhamdulillah one last thing though.
Did anyone notice my hair anyway? You guys want to?
It's colored. It's colored.
That's new. Nelson Mandela. I forgot my dopey at home today. I forgot my hat. And usually if I don't wear my hat, my hair is a little bit styled up. But I thought today What am I going to say to some of these youth that say why is your hair like messed up today? So the reason is, I forgot my hat at home and I thought myself in the car I'd use this to let you know that I won't be here for the next little while and shot a lot because I'll be bald The next time you see me What does that mean?
I will be going for Ramadan sha Allah Tada. Okay, so
a bonus points because you said Ramadan first. Nice try. So remember me and your do I will most definitely remember all of you in my dorm. I can't guarantee by name because I don't know half of your names, but I will definitely make dua for our congregation We ask Allah Subhana Allah to Allah to bless every single one of you and to grant us all forgiveness and to reunite us again sometime soon. And to allow my hair to grow back in thicker and fuller than it already is. Right does that come low item said I'm already coming off too low.
