My brothers and sisters in Islam
when unite after some time, it's been a few months since I've led Jumeirah here.
And we unite today for the sake of uniting even more.
For it is not
except with the help of Allah subhanho wa Taala that we as an oma can achieve things
and we see that we are bleeding, literally and in many other forms.
Our oma is bleeding.
Our oma is bleeding literally with what we see happening in other countries around the world.
In Syria for example, in Burma when everyone's attention is taken away from other parts of the world more attacks are being laid.
When we look at different countries,
fearlessly lien is anyone remembering Philistine
is anyone remembering the people that lost their homes in many different countries around the world?
Are we all being trapped and sucked and pulled into this social media
game, and I don't really have many words to explain it.
I will try my best today in sha Allah to highlight to give us a very broad spectrum understanding of what is happening in the world. And it will try my best to motivate us insha Allah who to Allah, to turn to none except Allah subhanho wa Taala. First and foremost, that is not to say and I don't want anyone to come in late and we see that many of the people who will be coming in will be late. But that is not to say that after we turn to Allah, we should not do anything.
For Allah subhanho wa Taala wants us to turn to him first, to ask from him first, and then to ask from others and to go about in ways that he has educated us and granted us the ability to move forward to try and make the change happen.
But I want to begin by focusing on a hadith that we took maybe about a year ago.
And this hadith is important because sometimes we can look at the same Hadith. Or we can look at the same idea of the Quran. Or we can take the same examples that we may have looked at before in different lights, and now shed some light upon it from a completely different angle.
And it is none other than the Hadeeth that we learn through mmm autonomy V, which has been graded as hesson.
When even our bus or the Allahumma is sitting behind the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam
and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he turns to him to teach him as a child to educate him as someone who's young, I wouldn't really say a child. The profits on a lawn mower I knew he was on them turns to him and says Yahoo alum and a child that their time was not like the child that we see in our time. The child that their time was a child who was learning wisdom from a young age, who was going through hardships and challenges and and difficulties of life that we can't even imagine at an older age.
The fact that four days they may not
I have water. The fact for days they may not have heat. They may not have food, they may not have transportation, they may not have ease of access to education. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam turns to him and he's young. And he says, yo, hula where I live mocha, be Kelly Martin.
For the La Jolla
for the LA Hata, Jean Gucci jack. He says, I will teach you something. And these things that he's teaching him is no doubt too important. He says, Remember a law of the law. Remember a law and we know when we say someone is a half is of the Quran. We see the word half is someone who memorized the Quran. That is not someone who woke up in the morning, open the door and read it from cover to cover digested it like we do our breakfast. And all of a sudden they're known as a half of every single day of their life is a day dedicated to the Quran.
Every single day of that child who we might have sitting with us who memorize the Quran or who is memorizing the Quran, their parents know the hardship and the dedication needed in order to memorize that in order to be a half if in order to acquire constant memory and remembrance of the Quran. So when the prophet SAW the loan where I knew he was sending them tells even Ibis if follow the law, remember a law he's not just simply saying, you know what, when your watch beeps TT Oh, it's time for us. Let's remember I'm on now. And when it beeps again, TT Oh, it's time for a mclubbe Okay, let's remember a law. And then we're at home and it's time for a Shall we here the alphabet clock on
the wall? Starting the hour, then Okay, it's time to remember a lot. No, that's the bare minimum.
In our Deen The Pillars of Islam are the bare minimum. Our five daily prayers today we look at it and we think someone who prays five times a day is really pious know, someone who prays five times a day is just fulfilling the bare minimum. With regards to our prayer within our Deen. That's the minimum amount.
The maximum is the next level. But we're not talking about prayer. We're talking about remembering the law in times of need.
And we need to be people that remember a law constantly. When we go outside and we feel the cold, we shouldn't say bad words and say, Oh man, what are we doing in this country? No, we say Subhana Allah, we say Allahu Akbar.
Because he reminds us even with the cold of his power, he reminds us even with the cold, that there will be a time that we may wish for this cold because we may be seeing the fire in front of us. And so every single thing around us is a remembrance of Allah subhanho wa Taala it's a sign of a loss of Hannah who is Allah His greatness? And he goes on to say if only Lucha yes of when we remember a lot and we're constantly busy in the remembrance of Allah. Allah subhanho wa Taala Hannah will also in return constantly remember us constantly help us constantly come to our assistance.
He then continues to say fo the Lucha turgid, Hootie jack,
remember a law that remembrance that is constant, and you will find a law in front of you.
You will find a law everywhere that you go as in you will not see a law but you will see His Signs of his greatness. You will see things that will remind you of a law you will feel things that remind you of Allah subhanho wa Taala you will be picked up by a foreign oh you're or you'll lose a life or you'll lose a family member and you will remember a lot.
He goes on to say
he does Leila.
And when you ask, asked from Allah, what he does to hunter festa and Villa and when you seek help, seek help from Allah. Let me ask you, my brothers and sisters. Now that we've taken the first half of this Hadeeth how many of us are turning to a lot in remembrance? I want to give you an example of someone who yesterday gave me a phone call when everyone in the world is talking about Syria, when everyone is thinking of Hello, Aleppo, when everyone is focusing on our brothers and sisters, human beings that are dying when no one else no other government. No one is helping. No one is stepping in no one is doing anything. This brother in fact, the mother calls me and she said I'm on a
commission.
God Yes. Okay, can you please speak to my husband gives the phone to her husband, the husband in tears is trying to explain to me how they're in the hospital. And their child that was born not too long ago, already went through open heart surgery, and now needs to go through another procedure, another operation, and they don't know what's going to happen. And this parent is telling me over the phone that we have two choices. One, the doctor say we just wait and in a day or two, our child will die. Two, we do the operation, and probably the exact same thing is going to happen in a day or two, there's gonna be more complications. And we might just prolong the life of this child for
another few days, three or four days and the child is going to die. Do we think in that moment, that these two parents who are shedding tears over the their child are actually dedicating their entire day to remembering people on the other side of the world? No. Can we blame them? No. Should we blame them and make them feel guilty? No, we shouldn't. Because Allah subhanho wa Taala gives us moments in life. Every single challenge that every single person faces is a challenge to remember Allah subhanho wa Taala.
Now Allah subhana wa tada shows us in the example of this child, and this is where we're going to go a little bit deeper in sha Allah. In the example of the child who's passing away in the example of the parent who is making to offer the child that parent is hurting. And that parent wakes up in the middle of the night dedicates hours of their day and hours of their night to asking Allah subhana wa tada for some hope, for some help, for some assistance for some guidance. Yeah, Allah, we don't know what to do. Our child is dying. We don't know what to do. But let's flip that example upon you and I, how many of us are feeling like my child who's not my child, but the child of my Muslim brother
or sister in another part of the world is dying? How many of us is waking up in the middle of the night to make dua to Allah subhanho wa Taala. When we know that Allah says, Sorry that the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says, a
very bad, and he also teaches us that it is not only a bad, do I is the weapon of the believer. And many people when they think of a weapon, they think of a sword or they think of a gun or they think of something physical now, what brings helps to us is the help of a law who can make a ceasefire happen, who can make people lose their lives without even doing anything? Why is it that Allah subhanho wa Taala shows us in examples of people of the past.
In for example, the example of no mood or little insect goes into his nose and he dies. Why doesn't a lot do something like that to people who are pressing others on the other side of the world? We don't ask ourselves these questions, or we wonder why isn't it happening? When is it going to come? But a loss of Hamlet Hannah's teaching us a lesson? How many of us are turning to a law? How many of us are dedicating to Africa in the middle of the night to soften our hearts so that when we make dua after that Allah subhana wa tada will bring help? I remember as a child,
my teacher that mmm of our mustard used to tell us never underestimate your heart. Never underestimate your doula. Why? Because you could be making do it for yourself and the lessons help to someone who's more in need. You could be making drive for yourself and alone help someone else who's more in need. Now when we look at the door of the Prophet sallallahu, alayhi wasallam? Does he tell us to only make dua for Jenna? No. Does he tell us to only make dua that we pass our exams at school university? No. Why is it that we belittle our Doha? Why is it that we think our door is not powerful? Why is it that sometimes we think we have to physically do something, physically go
somewhere or physically take from our pockets and do something? Do we think that our money is more powerful than the dollar that we make to Allah and the help that will come from Allah? If that's the case, we will continue to give money, we will continue to give money and give money because our belief is firm in our money and not firm in Allah subhanho wa Taala We are not saying don't give money, we are not saying don't help. We are not saying to stop every other sort of assistance, medical assistance, etc. No, but what we are saying is to understand the power of our heart, when the profits on the long run I knew he was sending him said make drive for Jenna. He didn't say just
make drive that you just scrape a passing agenda. He said make drive for the highest level of gender for the highest levels of Paradise because you are worthy of the highest levels of paradise. And if we're worthy of the highest levels of Paradise, why isn't that we feel our drought is not worthy in front of Allah subhanho wa Taala it is. We must begin by making dua
don't
Little your while my brothers and sisters, our drama is what will bring help to the people who are in need. We cry and we say what can we do? And this brings us to the next step. When in the Hadith we see he says he does
what he does the hunter festa in Villa, how many of us are truly asking help and seeking help from Allah subhanho wa Taala when we go on social media and forward posts to people and say, MiG tau, how do I ask myself me? I should be asking myself before I click Send on that next social media post. How much do I have I made before going to ask someone else to make dua? How many hours of the night have I spent making drag before I go and ask someone else to do that? Before it just forward a social media posting thing I've done my job.
Yesterday I saw on social media, some handle on
a shift on the other side of the world who posts his dua and we see many people doing this, posting their online and saying this is what I asked for. We don't need to know what you asked for. I woke up at three o'clock in the morning and this is what I asked a lot. We don't need to know that you woke up at three o'clock in the morning. Don't reveal your good deeds, keep that between you and Allah subhanho wa Taala encourage other people in other ways. We should not be using events and things that happen in the world in order to seek fame in order to seek you know, likes from other people. And this is a sad reality that we live in my brothers and sisters. We are using the death of
other people in order to become popular in LA he were in LA he Raji Hoon
in the LA he were in LA he Raji home. So my brothers and sisters, honestly when the heart cries out, we don't know where to go. And sometimes we need to direct our attention in one way, and we should be directing our attention towards Allah subhanho wa Taala. My brothers and sisters point number three that we see in this Hadith, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he goes on to say why irlam an ohmmeter low HTML had to either onion federal cabbie Shea in lemon Farooqi, Ellerbee Shea in Qatar bajo la hulak. Why don't we extend that who either rule cabbie Shea in lemmya De Luca Illa BA in Qatar bajo la who I like the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam he goes on to say, understand
and he's telling this young boy, right even I bust all the along I know who's young. He says understand that if the entire oma and think of it if the entire world gathers in order to try and help us in order to try and assist us. Lemon Ferro cabbie Shea in, no one will be able to help us except with the help of Allah subhanho wa Taala. Except with what a loss of the headwater Allah has decreed. And so the help will only come from Allah subhanho wa Taala. And then he goes on to say that if you're in need of assistance, because you're going through hardship, we just mentioned that but he goes on to say that if the entire Ummah gets together to try and harm us, to try and destroy
us, they will not be able to succeed except with the will of Allah subhanho wa Taala. Now what do we learn from this, many of us are just taking it from the physical words,
that if people tried to help us, no one will help us except with the help of Allah. And if people tried to harm us, no one will harm us except with the help of Allah. But what we learned from this is that every single hardship that comes to this oma
is from the plan of Allah subhanho wa Taala.
How many of us are standing, blaming other people, blaming other leaders, blaming people for not doing anything, blaming people for hurting others, blaming people for killing others?
Do not blame Allah subhanho wa Tada. What we learned from this hadith is to understand that this is the plan of Allah subhanho wa Taala. There is a reason why this is happening my brothers and sisters, when 911 happened, none of us understood it. But 1000s of people entered into Islam.
When the entire world was, was pointing the finger at Muslims, hashtags were going around the globe who is Mohammed, people wanted to learn who is Mohammed, who is this prophet? Who is this messenger, what are his hardships and 1000s of people entered Islam once again.
My brothers and sisters when these things happen, first of all, we understand that this is the plan of Allah subhanho wa Taala. We understand that this is the plan of Allah subhanho wa Taala. We don't know what the outcome is. We don't know why it's happening. But we do know that it is a test upon every single one of us. Will we shake in our belief will we
lose hope and trust in Allah subhanho wa Taala? Or will we then turn to Allah and try to seek help and assistance? My brothers and sisters in this point I was I want to also encourage us not to let our emotions and not to let what happens in the news and the media sway us away from the remembrance of Allah subhanho wa Taala many people are becoming emotional. Many people are saying this shouldn't happen. Why is this happening? This is the plan of Allah subhanho wa Taala? Are we happy with it? No.
We're not happy with it. Why? Because it hurts us. And it's hurting other people. But there's a reason why this is happening. And the reason will only be known to us in the future. But I want us to draw our attention to something else.
When we look at the profits of the past,
has any of us asked? Why did people try to throw a Prophet Ibrahim Allah has sent them into fire. They tried to burn a prophet of Allah.
They built a fire so big that birds that would fly over it would fall into a chart.
None of us question that. We say oh, this is a story of the past. And people in the future will look at us and say this is a story of the past. And we might yell and scream as loud as we can and say this was not a story. It was a reality. But we only look at it as them seeing it as a story because we should not follow in those footsteps. We need to understand that there were people of the past who called out to Allah and said, Hi Cebu tone. Todo como el Gen, one m. t con, una Nina Fano omiana kabini con masa tomo
was losing Oh,
man, oh man home, the profits of the past the messengers of the past the people of the past they went through such hardships that their people would turn to them and ask them, when is the help of Allah subhanho wa Taala going to come?
When is the help of Allah going to come? They would say you know what, the Earth is shaking, the ground is shaking, people are dying things are happening. The blood is flowing like rivers. blood is flowing like rivers,
like rivers.
And they would call out, Mehta.
When is the help of a lot going to come? And we asked the same thing. When is the help of Allah going to come? When we see children with spheres going through their stomachs in Burma?
When we see people being killed when we see messages of husbands asking, Can I kill my family before the oppressors come and kill my family?
When we put ourselves in their shoes,
when we look at each other right now,
imagine if every single one of us something happened right now and we just became a blanket of dead bodies. How would we feel?
And our children who are in school would say matar Nasrullah. One is the help of Allah going to come, my father was taken unjustly, my mother was taken, why did this happen? Why is this happening to us and then the child is killed as well. Imagine a blanket of God is right here right now. How would we feel? We ask a love matter, no sort of law and what does Allah subhanho wa Taala tell us in the Quran, Allah in law, he, he.
We are very short sighted people.
A lot tells us very early the help of Allah is near its near the prophets on a long reading. He was selling them he was asked matassa When is the day of judgment? When is it going to come? We're always trying to jump ahead. We're always trying to figure out what do I need to do for them the profits on a long ladder he was sending him he asks that golden question. He says, well, not that I did today. What have you done to prepare for that? What are we doing now to prepare for a time where we might go through hardships where our own family members I know there's people sitting here who are from these countries. Our own parents are going through hardships, our uncles and Auntie's and
grandparents etc. are going through hardships and we ask ourselves in our cozy homes in the middle of the night, when is the help of Allah subhanho wa Taala going to come aku lokali had our stock through law festival in the Horn of Africa.
And hamdulillahi Rabbil alameen wa Taala to limit 13 was Sunday we'll sell the more Highlander be a hill Kenny la sala to attend to sleep on my back. My brothers and sisters the headies continues one last part of that.
Hadeeth What if you had to a club what just to sort of the pen has been lifted and the scriptures are dry, as in Allah subhanho wa Taala planned this. When we see our family members, our Muslim brothers and sisters, dying day and night, this was the plan of Allah in order to shake our hearts. Allah says in the Quran, I felt
the burden
of further attendance.
Amana poo been up of?
Don't we ponder over what Allah has set for us as plans, don't we think of the verses of the Quran, he then goes on to say or are our heart sealed. And for many of us, we feel a seal on our hearts. It's time that we shed a tear. It's time that we feel the hardships of others. And it's time that we use our doors. As though the door is the only thing that's going to help us because Allah subhanho wa Taala will definitely test us with something in the future, we might feel that there's a test on our brothers and sisters. And it's time for us to seek help for them. Because the time might come where we go through our own personal hardships in life. And then we're Muslim brothers and sisters
in our community make dua for us. And Allah helps us in those difficult times. We ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to make it easy for the Muslims around the world that are going through hardships, we ask Allah to strengthen us and Amen, we ask Allah to strengthen us in our belief, we ask Allah subhana wa Taala to strengthen our door. We ask Allah Subhana Allah to Allah to make us be from amongst those that give up a little bit of our comfort and and ease for those that are suffering and struggling in different parts of the world. We ask Allah subhana wa Tana at the same time, not to make us from those that make others feel guilty when they are not in a position to help others. We
ask Allah Subhana Allah to forgive us for our shortcomings. We ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to assist all those that are losing their lives. We ask Allah Subhana Allah to Allah to bring peace and safety. We ask Allah Subhana Allah to Allah to grant the medical assistance, we ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to make our children from amongst those that uphold this Dean and strengthen their Eamonn inside of their lives in their country. We ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to make us from amongst those that are understanding that can live with those who are around us. That can be an example for them. When they think that we are harming humanity. They understand that we are only bringing goodness and
mercy to humanity. And we ask Allah subhanho wa Taala to send peace and blessings upon the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam along masala sunny Mubarak and I'll see you then I want to be known Mohammed who Allah alayhi wa sallam he was one of them in the LA Hupmobile.
