Salam aleikum wa rahmatullah wa barakato. Brothers and sisters, welcome back to this next segment of drops of guidance. We are in the middle of discussing the second Hadith, almost Sunnah. And we're talking about a man and this portion we're going to start off by talking about how he man increases and it decreases. We look at the Hadith of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam which was
narrated by Imam Bukhari Muslim a Buddha would add in magic and others were the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam says amen consists of 70 odd branches 70 odd branches
The highest of which is to testify, none has the right to be worshipped or none is worthy of worship except Allah subhanho wa Taala. And the lowest of those branches is to remove something which is harmful from the path or from the way of somebody who is passing by. Therefore, a man has a strong point or a high point, it also has a low point. And this is very important because many people think that a man is something which goes at a consistent or a constant sort of level, it doesn't go up and it doesn't come down, which is something that we need to understand. we'll mention a few more things first.
Mm, a son Annie, okay, I put my socks on and he said, I met 72. Shoe you, okay, 72 shoe. And he mentioned a few of them amongst them were and he mentioned a few. And then he goes on to say that, and all of those that I have mentioned, all of them said amen consists of speech and action, it increases and it decreases. And this is something which is mentioned by a number of scholars within Islam. Therefore, Eman goes up, and it goes down. Something very important that we need to remember with regards to Eamon, you know, when people are climbing to the peak of a mountain, for example, climbing up Mount Everest, and they reached the peak of Mount Everest, they go through so much
hardship, so much struggle just to get to the top of the mountain. And when they reach there, what happens, they look around, they take some pictures, you know, they may have lost two or three of their team members, either they fell ill or they passed away. And this is something which is very common, that people you know, are struggling so hard to get to the peak of Mount Everest, that they can't even make it physically, they're not fit, and they can't reach the peak. But those that actually managed to reach the peak of Mount Everest, when they get there, and they've taken their pictures and they look around and they plant the flag of their country. What do they do after that,
they can only stay for a few minutes, and there's nowhere left for them to go, but down. So they've gone so high, and there's nothing left for them to do except come down. And this is a trend that we don't want to do with our email. We don't want to peak our email and so high that it just plummets down. We want to have this band with this wave of email that continues. Okay, it should not be something that goes so high and so low, it should be something which stays somewhat consistent. It can fluctuate, but it stays at a sort of constant level. And this is how the man of the companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam used to be you look at the example of how they were
during the month of Ramadan. You know, they would try to continue their Iman their actions, the good deeds that they were doing throughout the month of Ramadan so that it stays and remains that way outside of Ramadan. So they wouldn't do so many things during an album like we do nowadays, right? We don't pray 20 aka every single night of the year, in fact, for 11 months of the year, probably, you know 99% of the Muslims don't pray 20 God, some of them might not even pray to God have extra solid during the year. But during the Ramadan, everybody's praying 20 or everyone's praying at Dhaka whichever month Have you want to follow whichever opinion you're going with. But the point is that
you don't keep it up after Ramadan. Why? The fact that you've done it during Ramadan, and it was so hard and difficult for you to maintain that peak level of Eman or that peak level of struggle during Ramadan shows that during the ending of Ramadan, when you're Eamon is so high and you've reached the top, you get extremely tired and exhausted to the point that you drop your level of Eman. Once Ramadan is over and it has passed, people don't even remember what tarawih was. Some people don't even open the Quran to read it until a few months later. And so on and so forth. Therefore, what we want to do is take from the example of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, the Hadith where he
shot of the Allahu anhu mentions that the prophets on the longer it was seldom said the best of actions are those which are small, okay, they're small acts sorry, the best of actions are those which are done consistently, even if they are small. So an action that you do regularly, you're doing a regular action, even if it's a small action, but you keep it up. Not that Ramadan comes you do something you tuck it away until the next Ramadan aid comes you know, you practice whatever you need to do for eat and then it goes away and so on and so
Go forth throughout the years something comes up, you do that and then you tuck it away in your pocket until the next time you need to take it out of your pocket. That is not a man, brothers and sisters, amen and goes up and it goes down and it should continue to make this sort of constant waveform rather than peaking and dropping and peaking and dropping. Alright, so that is with regards to Eamonn and its levels. Sometimes it goes up, sometimes it comes down, and that is just normal. Sometimes we face hardships, Allah subhanho wa Taala tests us with things that we feel we might not be able to get through. But we work hard through perseverance, we get through it and we move forth
in life. And then another test comes and we continue this process this cycle of pleasing Allah subhanho wa Taala through our actions, and that is the way it should be brothers and sisters. Now, how can correct aqidah? How can correct belief increase a person's aemon? correct data can increase a person's Amen. Just like for example, if there's a fire outside the door behind me, okay, there's a fire outside the door and the person comes running into like
there's a fire, there's a fire, what is the first thing you're going to do, I'm going to get up and run the other way. And most probably you would do the exact same thing. Because you know what fire is. And you believe that fire has heat and it can burn, okay, it has the ability to burn. Therefore you don't want to get close to it. You want to run the other way because you believe in the the presence of fire and the presence of heat within that fire and its capability of burning you. So you run the other way. This is just like a man believing that it's there and acting upon it. Knowing what a man is an acting with email. That is a way that correct Aveda can increase a person's Eman.
Now we must move forward with regards to sun, sun to worship Allah subhanho wa Taala just as though you see him and if you don't see him know that Allah subhanho wa Taala can see you. So when you're sitting there, for example, on your computer, and you're using Facebook, and you're doing things you're not supposed to be doing, or you're surfing the internet and going on sites that you should not be going on. And you think that no one can see you a loss of Hannah hola Thailand was very well what you're doing. In fact, there's always two angels with you that are writing down every single thing that you say and do. Therefore you never are left alone. Allah subhanho wa Taala protects you
so long as you protect yourself. Brothers and sisters We'll take a short break and we will come back and continue sn sha Allah tada
Salam Alaikum brothers and sisters Welcome back. And we will continue with the topic of sn as we said it is to worship Allah subhanho wa Taala as if you can see him, but if you don't see him, then know that Allah subhanho wa Taala sees you. Now SN and taqwa are very closely related Allah subhanho wa Taala puts them together in a few places in the Quran. For example,
in verse number 128, of sudo Allah subhanho wa Taala says, in the law, the man living in a taco when levena home marcion Verily, Allah is with those who fear Him and those who are more sin. What does it mean to fear Allah what is taqwa we mentioned, son. But what is taqwa? Some people translate taqwa as fear. In fact, if you ask the majority of people that you know what is taqwa, I almost can guarantee you that one person at least will say fear it is to fear a lot. Let's use a very simple example to explain what taqwa really is.
You have a child who does something naughty, for example, while his father's gone to work in his mother's at home, he breaks the window on the neighbor's house or the neighbor's car by accident, right? It was something that happened, and there's no problems there. But the mother says, wait until your father comes home. I'm gonna tell you that. So when your dad comes home, okay, the father comes home, this child, do you think he's going to run to the door and welcome his father? No, he's going to turn the other way, go into his bedroom, maybe lock the door, hide under his bed sheets, or go into the bed itself and hide so that his father can't find him. So the father comes through the
door and the mother says you know what your son did today. He broke the window that belong to the neighbor. So the father gets furious and he comes to the Father.
And he's about to punish him and tell him you know, I'm gonna ground you for a week or whatever it may be. And the child is scared of his father. Now Allah subhanho wa Taala doesn't want us to be just scared of him. If Allah wanted us to be scared of him, that would mean that he would not want us to get closer to him. Just like a child runs away from his father when he scared if a human being or a Muslim or a woman was to run away from Allah subhanho wa Taala out of fear, then it would defeat the purpose of Islam. The point is to get closer to Allah subhanho wa Taala not turn and run the other way. So if a person just like the child wants to get closer to the Father, the person or
believer in a loss of handle Italian needs to do things that are going to please the Father. So he goes to the door, for example, and he welcomes his father and he says, You know what, that I need to tell you something. It's very important. Something happened today. It was a mistake. It was an accident. There was nothing I could have done. I threw the ball and it bounced off the wall and they hit their window, what am I supposed to do? Then the father will understand. Similarly, brothers and sisters, when you do something to please Allah subhanho wa Taala if something bad comes from it, then there's some goodness in it. Allah subhanho wa Taala is not like that strict stern father,
who's going to take a harsh stance and wants you to be scared of him. No, alone wants you to love him. make her happy so that you come closer to Allah, while at the same time you're doing that fear the punishment of Allah subhanho wa Taala should you do something that you should not do? Therefore it is a two way thing. You want to get closer to Allah while fearing the punishment of your evil actions or your bad deeds, for example, so that his son and taqwa and Allah subhanho wa Taala puts them together and uses them together, because they are very closely related. Now, there are levels of sn, there are three levels of sound that we will discuss. And the first one is the obligatory
level of sn, it is that one's actions should be good by making the intention for the sake of Allah subhanho wa Taala alone. And by making the action in accordance with the Sunnah. This is the obligatory level of sound, that you make intention to do something for Allah. And while you're doing that action, you do it according to the ways that the shediac shows us the way of the prophets on the long rally you SLM or the way that Allah subhana wa, tada ordered us to do so in the Quran, that is the first level, the second level, which is a recommended level of Essen is to perform one's actions at the station of Morocco. Morocco is a level that you are being watched, okay, so
therefore, the second or the recommended level is that the person worships Allah subhanho wa Taala knowing and feeling that a lot is continually watching over this person. Like we said earlier, a person is surfing the Internet, and they're about to go on a site, but they remember Oh, Allah is watching me. So I should be careful, okay, so that you were being watched.
And this, this level, even Tamia uses as an example, but we won't really get into that in detail. He mentioned that when people try and talk about ways of,
you know, saying that someone has done something wrong. For example, they use this very portion of the Hadith and they say you're supposed to worship Allah, as though you see him, okay? And so they say, oh, it is possible to see Allah. Well, even Tamia says no, if you ever need to refute someone in that way, look inside the proof that they're using. They're using this hadith. Look at the words correctly, what does the Arabic word mean? and terrible with Allah and Nikita who so that you worship Allah as if you can see him It doesn't say in the Hadith, you can see a lot. So those who misinterpret it will say oh, we can see a lot but that is not true. So that is just something that
we needed to mention here because we spoke about the second level which is as though you are being watched by Allah subhanho wa Taala. The third level of sn which is the recommended level, the second recommended level which is the highest level of sn is to perform one's action in the station of mutia. Which is witnessing, worshiping Allah as if you see him okay as if you see him but it is not possible as we know to see Allah subhanho wa Taala. Not now, but in the hereafter in sha Allah when we reach Genesis
inshallah Allah that is when it is possible to see Allah subhanho wa Taala. So the third level is to worship Allah as though you can see him, okay? Then we worship Allah subhanho wa Taala knowing that he sees us, as though we can see him and we fulfill the ways and methods that we're supposed to be worshiping Allah, in accordance to the way of the Sunnah or the commands of Allah subhanho wa Taala. Also by doing it, solely for Allah subhanho wa Taala and that is fulfilling all the levels of sn in one go. Brothers and sisters. We'll take a very short break and we'll be back with the continuation of this session.
Send Mr. alikum brothers and sisters Welcome back to The last section of this session where we will talk about the our in the hadith of God and Allah His solemn it says that he questioned the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam about the hour and the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam replied to him by saying the one question about it knows no better than the questioner meaning I as Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam No, not more than you do as the questioner asking about the hour or the Day of Judgment. And here we see a few things. There are signs of the hour. There are a number of things with regards to the day of judgment that are needed to be mentioned, there are minor signs,
there are major signs that the the signs are very different in themselves. One of the most important things that we have to keep in mind brothers and sisters, with regards to those who have spoken about or written about the signs of the hour, is that we cannot claim that one of the signs of the hour is really a sign of Yokoyama until the scholars have declared it as a sign and that incident or that occasion has passed. So for example, if a tsunami hits, we cannot say that this tsunami is a sign of the Day of Judgment. No, we wait for it to pass, we see what comes out of it. And we leave it to the scholars of Islam to decide if this was one of the signs of Yokoyama, one of the date
signs of the day of judgment or not. And we as average Muslims, we do not come forth and declare something to be a sign of the Day of Judgment without having any knowledge of the Sharia of Allah subhanho wa Taala. Also, in the Hadith, it mentions that the slave girl will give birth to her mistress, the slave girl will give birth to her mistress. What does this mean? The slave girl giving birth to her mistress, we see today that, you know, in Islam, the slave girl is someone which is held high, someone that is given a level where they eat from the food of their master, and they wear the clothing of the clothing that their master wears, for example, they don't go into the Masters
cupboard and take that clothing out and wear it No, that master has to provide for this person. The clothing which is similar in quality, or the food which is similar in quality to the food that they eat themselves. Okay, so it's a manner of a matter of sharing the clothing and food and provisions and so on and so forth with that person. So what does it mean that the slave girl will give birth to her mistress?
Some of the scholars say that this sign means that there will be a lot of slavery near the day of judgment as we know today. In Islam, we believe that there is no slavery at this point in time. But the scholars say that closer to the Day of Judgment, slavery will become very predominant. Also, in the Hadith, it mentions that there will be barefooted, naked, destitute shepherds competing in constructing lofty buildings, brothers and sisters, a lot of you are thinking right now, oh, we see those buildings in Makkah and Medina that are going up, especially in Makkah, very high. That's a sign of the our people are so quick to declare that as one of the signs of the Day of Judgment, when
the scholars themselves have not even spoken about it. And we have to keep in mind what the Hadith actually says. It says that they will be competing in construction of these buildings, lofty buildings, when they are not even capable. They are destitute shepherds. They're not even
Capable of building these buildings, but they take loans for example, and they try and build buildings and compete with one another. This is not the case in what is happening in McCann, Medina brothers and sisters. So don't read into things on your own. Ask the scholars whenever you don't know, go back and ask the scholars, what is it that is going on what is taking place, and so on and so forth. from some of the lesser signs of the day of judgment or the minor signs, we can see, for example, the parting of the moon, the messenger ship of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam the fact that our Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alayhi, wa sallam came is one of the signs of the Day of
Judgment, because he's the last and final messenger, therefore there will be no prophets after him. Thus, that is one of the signs of the Day of Judgment. We mentioned some of the signs in the Hadith just now. And some of the other signs are also mentioned in number, the lesser signs and there are many books which are written about this topic, you can pick up one of those books and read through it in sha Allah, but again, don't judge anything before you ask the scholars. Okay, with regards to the major signs, there's a hadith from
from halifa or the Allah Han, which is mentioned in Sahih Bukhari and it mentions the eight major signs or sorry, the 10 major signs of the Day of Judgment. And we mentioned them here, the digital as it is Salatu was Salam.
Yeah, Julian George, the three major earthquakes and landslides, one on the east, another in the West, and the third in the Arabian Peninsula, the rising of the sun from the west, and the beast that will appear, as well as a huge smoke and a fire that will drive people to their graves. So these are from the 10 major signs that is mentioned in a hadith of Herve Pharaoh the long run and mentioned in Sahih al Bukhari now brothers and sisters, we've gone through this Hadith, we have covered a number of aspects with regards to our religion. And we mentioned a man we mentioned sn, we spoke about the levels of sn to worship Allah subhanho wa Taala in a manner or a method that he
knowingly that he sees you knowingly Allah subhanho wa Taala is watching over you. And all of these things, as we said, relate to the Sunnah. This is why the Hadith is called almost Sunnah, the hadith of gibreel and his Salaam, it is a very long Hadith. And one which, if we were to go in depth would require many, many hours, many days to go through and discuss all the matters and all the issues that can come out of it. And all that the scholars have mentioned with regards to this hadith. Also, we mentioned some of the signs of the hour, some of the major signs some of the minor signs, and that the day of judgment is coming soon. But that should not be a discouragement or discourage us
from performing any of our Islamic deeds, or acts that we are supposed to Allah subhana wa tada will make the Day of Judgment come when it's time is ready. When it is time for it to come. It will come before that brothers and sisters, we just need to prepare ourselves. We should always be conscious of what we do. If we performed an act without being conscious of Allah subhanho wa Taala is knowing that we're doing it. We should quickly make Toba now, before the time is too late. So every single day that we sit down, we should zoom out of our out of our, you know, attention span and sort of concentrate on what we did during our day and focus on all the points that that we sort of went
through and see if I made a mistake. Should I make Toba? At that point in time you should sit down and make Toba to Allah subhana wa tada for whatever you did during your day, whether it be major or minor. Therefore brothers and sisters, if we were to act upon this Hadith, we would be fulfilling a large portion of the Sunnah of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and that is all the time that we have for today. I thank you which is alchemilla hyaluron a sin Mr Alaykum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
Sorry
