Silla Rana Rahim we continue our study of the life of Ahmad bin Abdulaziz, the highlight of the philosophy of burning Omiya the golden time for the Islamic tradition and the fifth Khalifa the fifth guided Khalifa Khalifa Kohan is a Russian after Abu Bakr. Omar who hubbub a small
rally is not the father of the Allahu Anhu. He remains, the one who revived the Lhasa for what it's worth, for what it's for, and for the goals of the succession of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam for Muslim on this earth. And tonight in sha Allah will try to wrap up the life of out of an Abdulaziz as we went through his Khilafah and his life very briefly and very shortly and I just wanted to mention that many volumes and books have been written about the amount of nabla Aziz And surely we did not give it justice by you know, going over that and few hours however, all the shortcomings are from myself and all the good that came out of that is from Allah kind of data and I
ask forgiveness for any shortcomings that might have happened during these sessions. So I might have been Abdulaziz is the Khalifa the fall of saline might have not been medic, and he is the seventh Felisa in the house of Omiya. And he is the
Khalifa
based on recommendation from Santa from a job in Hayward, who was a consultant.
And we were
following this Khilafah of Ahmad and Abdul Aziz went back and corrected many of the wrongs that happened during the time of pneumonia. And we spoke off the dynasty concept that is foreign from the shooter concept that the Muslim Khilafah should be transferred for the tribal, the National zealotry that was rampant during the time of Romania.
And then the alliances inside the government that actually brought about the weakness and the destruction eventually of the house of former yet
many wrong decisions were done. Many leaders were demoted, fearing of their power feeling of their shining star in the Muslim ummah and maybe they will take some of the glory away from the house of familia in many different decisions were made based on that the oppression of the supporters of value of your loved one, and the distraction by wealth and power from the real message of the Philipa as outlined by the guy that comes after the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. We went through the loss somewhat of an Abdulaziz his upbringing, his family, how he got his knowledge in Medina and then went on to be a governor of Medina and then jazz, and then how he was made sit down
and went back to a shop and became an advisor to a lead of not Milliken insulin, not him not medic, until the sound was Khilafah. Then we went through the data from our then Abdul Aziz and the aspects of history Lhasa that made it what it was the shining period in the time of Manuel Mejia his love of the early Muslims. We went through that the house of the prophets of Allah hottie he was sitting in his emphasis on the shura on the concept of consulting, not with people have wealth and power and consulting with the scholars of Islam consulting with the clerics, the people that have knowledge that are worthy of being consulting with the concept of justice and equality Following the tradition
of his great grandfather I'm not I'm probably Allahu and preservation of public money is open door policy, finding corruption in the house of Romania and correcting rectifying the wrongs, the many wrongs that happened during the time of his predecessors in the house of Romania. Then his interest in the public welfare and we saw how the what is called an Islamic history faible Nile, or the flood of wealth that happened during the time of Omar bin Abdulaziz where people will take the sadaqa and they would go from house to house and you're no takers, until they eventually bought the freedom of non Muslim slaves, because there were no Muslim slaves left and the Muslim ummah and they bought the
freedom or just non Muslim slaves, and they set them free because they had nothing else to do with the wealth and money of the sun.
because that was going around
his deep feeling of responsibility during his Khilafah he had rights for his citizens, but that extended into animal rights. So we saw how he treated animals. And you know, all the people that now go over the humanitarian rights and humane societies and all of that. And it is really surprising to find that there are actually roots in our history, and our Islamic tradition that goes back about 1300 years ago, to the time of Amata been obliges Ravi Allahu and how he refused to eruption absolute corruption his government, and he called the gifts bribery which is what it is. And he said when it was given to the Prophets of Allah, it will send them he was given as gifts than was given
to us it is actually bribery. It is something that would deviate us from right path.
And then how he selected and then how he treated his governors, the people that he assigned power and authority to how he selected them. We saw how he selected our motivating Mohajer how he made was that in his own servant, I wanted his consultants because he's always says the right thing, even to anger and whatever and Abdulaziz himself and then how he treated his governance, how he had a lot of observation and he had a lot of watching eyes over then making sure they do not deviate from the message they do not get corrupted with wealth, power and money. And then how he made sure that their needs is well as our math, so they do not have the necessity to go and transgress and trying to take
away from the public money. Then the last thing and the most important thing, not the least obviously, is his emphasis on spreading Islam. And how many territories and notably North Africa, the entire provinces of North Africa, and the areas of Sindh and Punjab mostly came to Islam during the two years off Ahmad bin Abdulaziz Alby Allahu Han, and his major contribution to our tradition to our jurisprudence. And your asana acknowledge is Ahmad Abdul Aziz was the one that ordered the writing of the Hadith. The writing of the Hadees was not ordered before the time of American Abdelaziz, and many scholars, many clerics equate this contribution with the contributions of Rama
AbuBakr study De Palma monopolizes a lot of pop and smart in preserving the Quran. They said as these great Khalifa preserve the Quran. A lot of bin Abdulaziz preserved Hadith when he ordered a bin she had Zari to start writing the Hadith. And the science of the Hadith the knowledge of the Hadith will be there, that the recording of that the transcription of the Hadith, starting at the time of Ramadan advisees. And that's why this great knowledge and great science is preserved for many generations to come. So may Allah reward them in May Allah have mercy on Amata bin Abdulaziz. That was his Khilafah that was his way of governing. And we spend the last two sessions studying
that, but we will shall I spend tonight in looking at the person looking at the man himself looking at the amount of blood this was one of the great Khalifa was one of the great successes of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam, but he's also great Muslim, he's a great scholar of Islam. He's a great example to follow in his own life and his own being in his own method of worshipping Allah and his own understanding of this religion. So Mind you the the greatness that he had, well in his pilaf, we will Sharla study tonight, his personality and what kind of a character he had to govern the Muslim ummah.
And the first thing that's
that is striking about Omar Abdulaziz is like always we have to put things into perspective and understand where he come from, how was he raised, he was raised in a house of aristocracy. He was an aristocrat, he was one of the most noble houses of Omiya and who are one of the most noble clans and quite, which is the novelist, tribe, in Arabia. And not only that, they had wealth that is beyond belief at that time, they had the wealth of the East and the West, all the money that goes from China, to Spain to South of France were pouring into the house. And that was
it, and that was the house where he was raised and that was the environment he was raised. So when we speak of his modesty, when we speak of his humbleness, it is really
He's
sort of a mind boggling how that happened, how he could be ready to be that way. And House knows not much of these traditions, not much of these virtues by just the fact of their novelty and their wealth and their artists prophecy. But that tells you a lot about Islam. And how when Eman how go in faith and Islam goes into the heart, all of these things that these superficial things, these things have the outward
appearance does not matter what matters. It's what's in the heart of the Muslim and Omar bin Abdulaziz was an example of that. When a man came to American Abdulaziz admiring his personality, that we wouldn't study Salah tonight and he said, Joseph Allahu Islamic Iran, he said, may Allah reward you for what you're doing for Islam. Now, let's award you for all what you are doing for Islam. I mean, you know, the duck Allah who I mean he stands up, he replied, This man, he said, God just along with Islam, and you Farah, may Allah reward Islam for what I'm doing is that all I'm doing is a reflection of this data is a reflection of this tradition and our Islam is to be rewarded
for the outcome, which is an Abdulazeez. So that tells you about his humbleness, and his awareness of the great values, and where these great values comes from the tradition of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
So his modesty, his humbleness, was not out of need or poverty, he was, like we said, one of the wealthiest from one of the wealthiest houses at that time. And the other thing that was very important in the life of Amara bin Abdullah Aziz is his feeling of ALLAH SubhanA wa Tada. And like, we studied many of the Khalifa before and many of the great Sahaba and many of the greats have been, that is always the source of greatness. Once one humbles himself or herself before Allah Subhana Allah, Allah subhana wa Tada elevate that person, and that is in the Hadith. And the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, Min palabra Allah, Allah, those who humble themselves before Allah
subhanho wa Taala Allah pantalla elevate them and Omar bin Abdulaziz theater of Allah Subhana Allah Allah is reflected in many many of his great words in his great tradition and the relic step King from him.
And one time a man called Armada than Abdulaziz, as recorded in the Book of MBTI only hire to a half of it and kefir. He said take us back. I mean, how are you? Any of them? Not me. He said us back to Buffy and Buffy in Huhtala. Within the haka seminar, Allah He Alemany, he is criticizing himself. He said I'm lazy and slow. He's just delivering his ads before a loss kind of with Allah. He said, I'm so slow, and I'm so lazy, in my work before Allah subhana with Allah, and I have been pained with sins, and I hope and wish for Allah Subhana Allah dad only said all I have is the hopes was Allah subhanho wa taala. And then one of the things he would say, he said Allan Kalam, now who lay a man
who had an 11 Other Allah Halia he said, nobody will be saved tomorrow, meaning in the Day of Judgment, other than the ones who are fearing of Allah today. So you feel a lot today. You get safety tomorrow you ignore the punishment of Allah subhanaw taala today, then you have to face that reckoning tomorrow meaning and the day of judgment. He said those who sell what stays with what is going to go away, meaning sell the Acura was Virginia law, Kenny Lundy, Kathy and the plenty was a little is the comparison between the hereafter and the dunya well how can the man and the fearing with the safety meanie don't exchange the safety from the day of judgment by being safe today and
not having an accountability not understand what lays ahead? And he said Don't you see a lotta ona and a comfy slab in Harlequin? What sort of see ruining Barbie community Buffy in the valley Cohutta to Abdullah Hironori thing he said Don't you see that you will be of the ones that would perish and then you will be turned back to Allah subhana which Allah and He is the best of Eros. He's the one that will inherit the heavens and the earth.
And of his healing of Allah subhanho wa Taala is his love of the Quran, his reading of the Quran and he would read the Quran at the beginning of the day. And then he would read the Quran again at night. And one of the things that is reported from Omar bin Abdulaziz
If he does not lead long sutras, he does not spend time reading one sutra he would be a little bit every day and it's not afforded how much exactly the day according to many of his contemporaries, I mean, they would read the Quran every day. And we think that that is too much. But there is so many scholars out actually may read the Quran, the Quran every day, and between the piano and between the Salah. So his reading was not much, but they said he was one of the people that would actually look and think deep of the meaning of the words. And one of the stories that are recorded in history is a man here heard I'm out of nabla he's making the Salah and reciting the PASI ha and so on. And
reciting the Fatiha you would say Alhamdulillah, hear of Bill Allen, and he would stay silent he would pause and then you say on Walkman or Hain watching, he would pause and the man said, Why are you taking so long reciting al Fatiha said I'm enjoying Allah is replying to me. Because you know what, how the Surah Fatiha is a conversation between the slave the servant and Allah Subhana Allah Allah, how the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam told us how Allah subhanho wa Taala respond to every word we say, as long as we say directly to Allah Subhana Allah to Allah. And that's how amount of Nablus it would recite the Quran is awareness of the Presence of Allah subhana wa to Allah and
Saudi Kabuki son, one of the greats out there, and he said, and he was one of the teachers of American adolescents, he said, I have never found somebody who was more mindful of Allah subhanho wa Taala in his heart and this boy, and he was avoid that time he said that even early in his life, he was so mindful of ALLAH SubhanA wa Tada so aware of ALLAH SubhanA wa sallam.
And the other thing is what we said about his feeling of responsibility before Allah subhanaw taala and that cannot come and unless the heart is aware of Allah subhanho wa Taala when his wife bought in, I came onto him and he, he saw she saw him weeping. And she said, why are you weeping a little moment? And he said, I'm remembering the poor, I'm remembering the hungry, I'm remembering the orphans, in my, in my domain and my terrain and my, my rain and, and I'm remembering how ALLAH SubhanA who Allah will ask me for every single one of them. And and that is mindfulness of Allah subhanho wa Taala that is watching Allah subhanho to Allah and Lanza to Allah He hadn't. But this is
the state of Assam and Cabo de la ha, can I cut off Thailand tekota os I know who you are, to worship Allah as if Allah is, is as if you see Allah as if he can watch Allah's kind of data because let it be known. If you can see Allah, Allah subhana, Allah can see you. And that was the state of Amana Ibn Abdul Aziz Rahim Allah.
And one of the things that was known of him is his tearing, when he remembers Allah subhana wa Santa
and his student when he remembers Allah subhana wa Bucha. Allah is well known and one of the the events that are well reported in history is when he got the Sealaska when he was when people came to American Adela Aziz and started greeting him as salam alayka meaning he was tearing, and the first impression, he said, he was so happy, he became a Felisa and so, they saw that he was actually was very, he felt the the heavy weight of this Khilafah and his head was between his knees, and he was weeping with and he was very cheerful, when he was giving this Khilafah.
And the other thing is, as his aesthetic behavior, his
aesthetic behavior, meaning not caring for the dunya and not having the heart connected with the material things that one's happy and just Dunya doesn't mean not to have anything that it means do not let the heart being connected, do not be locked, let the heart be carrying become this become a priority in this dunya. And, and we from what we can read in history is this is a foreign thing for most of the people, especially in the Klan or for me at that time, and he was the exception to that rule among the leadership and the Muslims at that time. And that started, I might have not lived he's enjoyed life before kidnapper, Ahmed Abdullah since was reported in history as one of the most
elegant men in Kuwait. His dress would be his garden, would would work 1000s Of dinars 1000s of dying, as it's reported in history, and when he would wear
At that time, he said, What a rough go what a rough material what a rough,
you know, the textile that I'm wearing, and then later on in his filata, his entire belonging were counted as 17 dinar, that was his entire wealth at that time that was available at his house and the dress that he would the garment that he would wear is a Durham. And compare that to 8000 Durham from before the filata. So that transformation that happened in his heart is his * lifestyle. And when he was given the bay Africa, we saw how he refused to ride on the horses and the caravans and the characters of the Khalifa. And he went back to his new role, and that is leaving the Declaration the ornamentation of this dunya and going back to the true values of Islam and being accountable for all
what is coming to one's wealth. So it is not because Amara bin Abdulaziz could not be wealthy, he was very wealthy, and he spent his wealth and returned his wealth back to the treasury of the Muslims, like what he did with his wife with fasting Faustina bin Abdul Malik bin Marwan who is from again, the novelist, houses and Omiya her father is a Khalifa her grandfather is a Khalifa. Her brothers are Khalifa her husband is Khalifa nephews. I mean, she was in one of the greatest aristocratic stations and any any society can imagine. And he made her return all her jewelry, all her ornamentation back to the treasury of the Muslims. And she refused to take it after his death,
Rahimullah. And one of the things that was recorded of him is when a woman came to the house visiting his wife, Faustina, she saw a man
just fixing the wall and the wall was mud at that time, it's bricks, and covered with mud. And here's this man just covering the wall with mud. And he's got mud all over him and taught him I was sitting there with that gap. So the woman said, You're a hustler? Why don't you avail yourself from a peon from this mud worker, and she said, This is Aaron MoonJune. Smart worker is near me, and I'm older than Abdulazeez. That's her husband. So that is one of the humbleness and the lifestyle he led after his Philipa. So you can imagine that transformation from that person whose interest o'clock and aristocrat and cooperation has a familiar to the mud, the person that is covered with mud
working in his house, and one time he went out and he got something for himself. And his servant said, Yeah, Nealon more money. Why didn't you tell me I would have gotten it for you. He said, I went to get it and my name was Amal and I came back I'm still on Mars, you know, nothing happened. He said, my value did not change, if I serve as my own self.
And he refused to be given special treatment, even after he became a Felisa, once I add is added as a as recorded in the Book of Ibn Abdul Haq. And that amount of Nautilus is was visiting a monastery, and the monks and the monastery wanted to
give them a special treatment. And they brought them a bowl, and it has pistachios and almonds, which is a delicacy and probably still is. And they brought him the this ball filled with pistachio and Alman. And he said, Did you give the same to the rest of the people with me? And he said, No, I mean, not the whole visiting.
Delegation got the same so he refused to eat from it. He refused to have a special treatment other than the Muslims that were with them.
And once I'm just speaking of his lifestyle and how he is content with what he has you one time,
came back after dinner to visit his daughters, and they were covering their mouthpiece and he said, Why are you covering your mouth and said we ate some onion because that was the only thing that is available in the house. And he said there is no harm by eating the raw foods and eating the food that you don't desire. As long as your father will be saved from the hellfire, meaning it's not worth it for me to bring you all these luxury food all this beautiful, delicious delicacies and then I'll be taken to the Hellfire because that would be head on.
And the like we said when he died, they asked her they asked his sister to bring a new
garments who dress them with it and shower them with it. And they said, why don't you bring us in his new shirt or a new garment? And she said, Well, why he he doesn't have any other garment and the one he's wearing, he said he has no other garments than the one he's wearing. And that's how he was shrouded.
And his house was very modest, his house, the half of the Felisa that he refused to settle in palaces of the Khalifa when he was given the filata, they asked him to move into the palace into the headquarter of the Khalifa in Damascus. And he said, My house, my modest house is enough for me. And he stayed in there until he died as Khalifa. And one time it's a funny story is a woman came to Pasadena, his wife to ask for help and money to ask for financial aid. And she was from the house of omega and she wanted the preferential treatment. She wanted extra from what the rest of the Muslims are getting. So she came to the house of Ahmad. And then she looked around and she left and Fatima
said, Why are you leaving? And she the woman said, Get Julio baited and has a date and forever she said, I'm coming to build my house we'll find a house from this ruins. I mean, he said, if there's any good you would give it to your own self, so 14 out apply to her. He said Carla has a data Amala to beauty and bellick She said what ruin this house. What made this house look so modest, is the luxury that is present in the houses of people like you. He said, that's why you see houses like this in the Muslim ummah, because some people are having preferential treatment over others, and they are taking the wealth of other Muslims.
And one another funny story is recorded from His servants. His servants was bringing the new the new back that the only meal that he had back to any other nominee. So I'm the only nominee and I'm gonna ask the server he said, Hey for having Mr. Heath, what how are the Muslims? How are what is the affairs of the Muslims? So I've had them said he said cuando Nassif, yah Illa. And our answer hasn't gone down, everybody is happy that you and me in this new
our condition is the worst and the Muslim ummah, that everybody is doing very well.
The other thing that follows his aesthetic lifestyle
is his humbleness one time and keen to glorify Omar Ibn Abdul Aziz and he wanted like like many governors, many people in authority you can always find these people that come in and try to give them you know, all these titles and, and all these values and so a man came to him he said Yeah, Felisa Allah He said, Oh you successor of Allah on earth, you know you are the Khalifa You are such an AMA said not shut up. So just don't say no more. He said me llama will lead to 30 and this means that I have a name my parents chose for me want to call me you call me with my name for some Mooney Omar. They call me Oh, Ma. Hello nowadays and yeah, Omar. A few call me Amara would respond to you.
And then when I grew up, well, I'm not actually nothing cooler. I need to be at the house. I had a nickname and my nickname was Abu Hafs, which is the nickname of food. For a lot of the staff. He took the same nickname Osama probably Allah. If you call me I will have to always respond to you. I'm not qualified to live in Alaska Valley. I'm not the successor of Allah on this earth. Well, I can no hola hola. That would woman Chabahar he said, the Halacha Allah in this earth and successors of Allah is the prophet that would and the wives of him the great Prophets when Allah subhanho wa Taala said yeah, that will do integral that the Khalifa can fill up. Because Allah said to that
would we have made you a successor or a Khalifa and so he refused to even be called in glorifying matter as a Khalifa. And then when he would walk out of his house, and some people would stand up, and greeting to him, he would say, Do not he would say do not get up do not stand up and greeting me because the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, Men Sabra, who are your humaneness? Tell us about what Nakada who when and not those who are happy when people stand up for them, let them let them reserve their seat and hellfire, let them make sure that they have a place and hellfire.
And when the people stand up, stood up when he was greeted for Khalifa. He said in Docomo nakoma INTERCO do not participate if you stand up and I will stand up. If you sit down I will sit down here refuse to be seated when people are standing up and greeting for homeowners who are Bill alanine
People Stand up for Allah subhanho wa Taala and should not stand up before other people.
Another thing is the finding the defending your rights and the truth, his his defense for the truth. And that happened even before we're talking about not Amato Khalifa or the person and Omar the person showed his defense for the truth, even before he became a Khalifa and one sign and will even Abdul Malik wanted to give the Khilafah to his son and not to his brother Selena and Abdul Malik. So many people agreed with that. And among them was a hijab driven use of coffee and that explains the great animosity between Suleiman of Merrick and the people of a hijab, because he had been Melek wanted to make his brother be escaped from the Philip Morris lab Jazziz, who already given they have
to select None of that Malik he said the truth is we already have given the beta so and when he imprisoned Amara bin Abdulaziz until he was very sick, very sick, and then later on he forgave him
how much time do you
have
so he always defended the truth and spoke the truth, even before the Khalifa. So he had he had to serve prison time in the time of alcoholism, Abdul Malik because he defended the right of the beta for saline and magnetic, but then also in a time of saline and even at the medic one time, so I never really came to Medina. So he started giving people money. He started giving people money, he was so proud of himself, but the ones that were like Nah, we're giving money we're the people that are already there already allies a former yet and Amara was watching and Omar was the governor of El Medina. So Selena living at the knowledge, the Khalifa told Omar now keep on our
behalf. How do you see what we have done our house? And Omar said I took a ride to visit the athletic arena arena, Dr. Abdel fakra. He said you increase the wealth of the wealthy and you let the poor to their poverty. He said you have not changed the status in Medina.
And then when they went out to Africa and then hedge, they were standing on the mounds of Africa and Omar turn to select none have been admitted. He said how old that era yet to Cleome What am Dennis old on anhand Wang Kusama, okay, all Nokia and I said, Look at all these people on the mound of artifacts, you are responsible for all of them, and they will be your adversary on the day of judgment. He said they will be your adversaries on the Day of Judgment. So this is his awareness, this is his fitness. And this is his speaking the truth before people have authority when many would not even dare to open their mouth in front of the Khalifa.
The other thing that characterize the personality of foam out of Nablus ease, is self accountability, is reviewing himself now the tradition of Amata probably Allah and he said has one full second. Atlanta has several he said with you your own deeds before Allah subhanho wa Taala review it for you on the Day of Judgment. And that was the principal from other than Abdulaziz.
And one time came to his wife and he asked his wife for the Gohan which is not much not a lot of money. He said I want to buy some great and she said You are Amir and Momineen and you don't have one you don't have in your in your pocket, wonder hand to buy some grapes yourself. And he said has a subtle meanwhile editing of early if you nodded your head no. He said that is better than fighting the chains in the Hellfire than fighting the chains and the hellfire.
And one time he sent his servants with raw meats and he wanted to cook so the and he wanted to send them to the house. He was in the place of Khilafah so he sent them to have a coat and Allah's house on fire. So the the servant brought it really quick. And he said how did you come back so quick? He said I just cooked it right here in the kitchen of the house of the filata which is a public kitchen it's a kitchen for for the Bubbler
it and he said the New Eden because this is not what Omar would eat, we will not eat something that is his own money, but it was cooked on the fires of the Muslim.
And one time we mentioned the story before, but repeated for the benefit accountability of Omar Abdulaziz, he asked for some honey. And that honey was brought on the mail through the post service of the filata. The public. And he refused to eat from that honey, because he was bought out he says on money is not a gift. But he was brought just the carrier was the public service. And he didn't he didn't pay for it. So he had a fuse to eat from that home.
And if you talk about his accountability, one of the greatest story is the story of the candle when a man came to him out of an Abdulaziz. And he started reviewing the affairs of the Muslim this was a person that came from for territory to review the affairs of the Muslims in that territory. And Omar was talking to him and they had a candle that was lighting the place for them. And they were talking about the affairs of the Muslims in that land. And then the man started asking a lot of an Abdulaziz about his family and his affair. So I'm I said just a minute, he turned off that lamp, and that candle and he turned on another one, he lived another candle. The man said, Why are you doing this?
And he said, when you were talking about the public affair, this candle that was lighting for us belongs to the Gulf belongs to the Muslims. This is an infinity of the Muslims. But now you're asking me personal questions, then I turn that off, and I left my own personal candle, because now the discussion is about me. It's not the Muslim should not pay, and what are they going to pay you no scandal. And he said, But Muslims should not pay for our personal conversation. And if you take that principle, and Ablon apply it to today's work, I mean, you think about all these employees and people and and especially in many third world countries, and I don't need really to tell you about
that. But how they used and abused the public money, public transportation, public cars, public phones, and all of that to their own benefit. Subhanallah and you see an example like that how things should be done and the Muslim ummah, that even the candle, the lights, we should be turned off as the public light is turned off and the private light is brought on when it's about the the personal affair of Ahmad Ibn Abdul Aziz.
And that was his personality, Allah have mercy on him.
And we turn into the last chapter in the life of Ahmad Ibn Abdul Aziz and that is his death.
His death has been recorded as a great controversy in our history. And many accounts agree that the cause for the death of Osama bin Abdulaziz was murdered, that he was murdered and he was poisoned. And his poison was brought onto him by his own family, by the family of not meaning his children but meaning the family of familia, the house of familia de hacer Colonia were clearly angry with the way of the governing of Amara bin Abdulaziz, they were resentful to taking many
privileges, and many wealth, much wealth away from the house of omega. So there was a lot of resentment against a lot of nabla Z's and his way of life and his way of government. But not only that, there was true fear and apprehension that a man like that will not deliver or not deliver the filata back to the house of familia, he will return it as assured so that will mean that the House of Romania will stop to govern the Muslim world. And if that happens that many privileges and many things that people are familiar enjoy will go away forever, which did eventually anyway. But Subhanallah so that blinded, many people in that house. I want to make sure that you all understand
that is not the only historical account to say that this is how amount of madness he's died. There is also many books of history that say he was he at his death.
was due to illness. His death was due to tuberculosis. And that's the only other account that was reported in history. And they said his Tuberculosis was due to his malnutrition, at the top of life that he was leading, and the poverty that actually the Khalifa was. And compared to the rest of the Muslims, who most of them were really in much better shape.
But the his term of Khilafah was only two years and five months. And four days, that was the entire term of the Khilafah had been Abdulaziz.
And the accounts that report that he was murdered, that he was poisoned. In his house, they say that they do not implicate a person. They do not implicate a specific person and planning for that murder. But they say that the poison was put in his food by a servant of his by one of the servants of Osama bin Abdulaziz. And they said that that is actually in many books, including many of the special biographies for Amara monopolizes
and they said that a Molalla, who does Salah who
doesn't have some time I'll shut up. They said that one of the servants put the poison to him and his food and drink coffee. For dinner he was given 1000 dinar to put the poison in the food off amount of glasses.
So a lot of Nablus he's found out. He got sick from that poison, and he didn't die immediately. He actually died several days later. And he brought that servant that servant was brought to him up at bin Abdulaziz. And he said, Why Atlanta? Hamelech Kalama fauna, what did you do? Why did you do this? And the servant said, they gave me 1000 genome. That's That's why I did this. He said Alpha dinar and alpha or theta, alpha.
And gamma said bring the 1000 dinar so he bought the 1000 dinar. And he said, 50,000 dinar and the treasury of Muslims, and disappeared and don't let anybody find it. He said, You go out, disappear. And don't let anybody find you. So he forgave his murder. And he lets his mother go away. The one that said No, his death was not a murder was Tuberculosis was on half of it and get here. And the book of the day on the higher which is great historical book for the history from Adam. Onward to the time of the death of a halfling Kathie, he said that his death was due to tuberculosis. But many other books say that his death was due to poison and the people that poisoned him, were non bought
the family of Columbia and Allah knows where the truth is.
One of the things that happened at the time of his death is he was sick for several days. So there are many reports of what he said, and His will and what were his recommendations for his children and the people after him at the time of his demise. He when He felt his death, and this is in three books, three historical books and even had them die on the higher and hideous Innovia he had one of his closest relatives was missing, and I've been I've been married now. That's not Melaka remember the day he is the Mujahid in the house of Columbia. He is the one that goes out to find the Byzantine. He's the one that was deceiving Constantinople. He's the he was close to Hamas and
Abdulaziz. And Muslim I came from out of an Abdulaziz in his last hours. And he said yeah, and you're on in a
while while becoming health and he said Your children are in a state of poverty, your children are poor. Fellow I will say today him.
If you give me custody over them, then I will take care of them after you. He said they don't have enough.
So he said set me up. He was flat. He was laying second. He said let me set up and he said yeah, mistana
I heard that she said Muslim. I'm not how you can afford to acquire her wallet even has a nun. So Allah you know, voluntold on Walla, walla accom, they are free and she and he said, If when you are saying that I made my children poor. I have never taken away anything that is their own rights. But I will not give them anything that is right of others. He said I have not taken anything away from my children. I did not intend
initially made my children poor.
And then he said about my will, the one that will take care of them is what Allah subhana with Allah said, Allah who lives in Zellen Kitab wa wa wa salam hain. He said Allah subhanho wa Taala is one that revealed the book, and he takes care of the people that are righteous.
And then he said, My children can be only two kinds. He said, Well, I do amarena hydrogenase. In the original salah, say only one law, he said, they can be the wife, who was people, my children, their rights was going on, I will take care of your rights. And Allah subhanaw taala will take care of you said that's what I leave for them is that that righteousness, that fear of Allah, and if they have that, then Allah will take care of them.
If they are not right to us, and you want me to take care of them, and then attune a woman and I will be married.
I will not help them with the inheritance with what I give them to this obey Allah subhana with that, he said, if they live with Allah will take care of them. But if they're not, I will not help them not be right to us by the money that I give them. And then he said, bring my children to me and they he they brought his children to him. And he started crying when he saw his children. And then he said, Yeah, when I in fact
unanimously Nina, what? Acnezine Mitzi him in La La comme haka. He said, just your reputation. You're right among the Muslims is enough for you said I left you that tradition. I left you the good deeds among the Muslims and the Muslims will know your right and your station over them.
And then he said, Yeah, Bernie. Yeah, Bernie Oh, my children. He had nothing to buy online. I had the choice to choose between one or two things in the interest Avenue was either either I make too rich, and I go to the hellfire. We're in infrastructure through what I call him Jana, or you stay poor. And I go to Paradise he said one or two things
then I will see my opinion is you stay poor. I don't want to go to hellfire in Nevada Hubballi then this is better to me. This is better for me. Como Osama como la May Allah preserve you from the sin como Raza octave Allah may Allah He started praying for them in his last moments. May Allah Subhana Allah Allah send you his bounty and his sustenance what accent I feel Africa Aliko May Allah replace me with somebody who is better for you? A lot of plays your father was somebody who would be better from
the last Lana
when he heard that he brought him 100,000 dinar from his own money. He said, Yeah, I'm here on how Sega in them and this is 100,000 dinar from my own money. You give it to whomever you want. He wanted him to leave some for his children because he saw that that love for his children and how he's
was fearful and he was talking to him.
And then he said our hiring in Dallas are higher on Indiana campus and can I tell you about something better to do with this money? And this summer said what is it and he said who have hated to have put it back where you took it from? Put it back in the treasury of the Muslims and Muslim I said does that Allah one Haven halen Yeah. And yeah, I mean, look at Elena, Elena Kulu and Cassia wa jal tell in a different quality you have soften our hearts and you have left your reputation you have left your mansion and the good people after.
Then he wrote a letter for the police to apprehend the the kidnapper after another bin Abdulaziz
had to go back. He has either been Abdul Malik, because when Selena and even Abdul Malik took the bail for Omar, Abdullah Aziz, he took to buy at the same time. He said first time out of an Abdulaziz then he has he even Abdul Malik.
So Allah as an error fact did not have the choice of who comes after him. And he did not have the authority to revoke the Beyonce that Selena took upon the people. So they tell them why don't you write something for us even Abdul Malik and to give him some advice? So Omar wrote it as Eid and he said yes, he.
He was on two lines, and in some narration and another, it was a little bit of longer.
Kind of
Now,
he said the toughest Sarada in the Lafleur color to call will occur while
he is reminding him of an Astra. He said, Be Aware beware of being caught and a moment of awareness. Do not be caught by Allah. When you are not aware of Allah Subhana Allah to Allah, when you cannot come back the moment of desperation and then you can when you go to Allah and you have no excuse before Allah subhanaw taala he reminded him of the death
and then he said that up to I'm writing to you, and I'm dying, and I'm dying of pain. And you know that I am responsible of the people that are below me lock that into me in school and I'm now elite. You have Sydney Allah you need to do now. And I will be asked by the king of the dunya and the Afra by Allah subhanho wa taala.
Well, let's go straight to
him. And I'm Alicia. And I cannot hide anything from Allah Subhana Allah to Allah. And Allah says, Allah Subhana Allah in Hindi element, one I could never again now we will tell them with knowledge with certainty, and we are all watchful, as Allah Subhana Allah said, he said 10 year ban your Rahim
And if Allah the All Merciful is with me, then I am successful.
Then I will be saved from the humility of the Hellfire now in stockpiling And if Allah Subhana Allah is not happy with me, our fairway hunted sila Marcia, then my soul will perish and my soul will be tormented as hola hola de la ilaha illa Hua and Yujiro Nina naughty, naughty as Allah subhanaw taala to protect me from the Hellfire with his mercy Vanya Munna yet, one he would benefit and I'll ask Allah Subhana Allah to give me his merciful bounty with the gymnast and his pleasure.
And then he said Salah is at the top of Allah, my advice to us talking to the Khalifa after him is stuck to Allah, the fear of Allah subhana wa to Allah, wa Orion Yetta right here and the people, the people, the people underneath and this is what I ask of you that in Atlanta bad Illa Allah you will not stay after me but little said this kidnapper is not going to be something that will stay with you for for a long time. He will just stay after me for a little bit. So metal has been lovely to have year was Santa, and then you will be turned to Allah subhana wa Salah was seven.
And then at the last moments of his death, last moment of life, he started paying he said Allahu Maldini hubba bubba Podrick had of Hibou imagine, Paulina herpetology like is it Oh Allah, let me be pleased and content with your judgment and send your blessing in your in what you have ordained as my fate. And so I would not wish they would be coming in sooner or any later he said, let me be contented with this moment of my death.
And then one of the historical accounts at that amount of bin Abdulaziz in the last moment, he asked his family to leave the room and said pull money for in Iraq, Alcon Marius, Adelina, in my humble opinion Valeri ins, he said, I see creatures I see peds people coming I think creatures coming into the room. And they are not grooming and they are not gin. And many of the accounts said that he started seeing the angels of mercy coming into his room and asked his family to leave
and then mess them I didn't have the Melek heard and reciting, taken down by too much alcohol in Medina Elia we do now the one thing
while after that, it is the hereafter the house of the eternity, we make those who do not want arrogance and height and earth and the return. And the these the reward is for those who are righteous for those who aren't. And he said, continued on from the same area until we could not do him anymore. And when we walk back into the room, we saw that space was was the fiddler and he had his eye on his
his hand on his eye and he was dead regime of law. And that's how the lie
I have Amara bin Abdulaziz finished and this class I was transferred to the Aziz bin Abdul Malik of in Matawan.
May Allah have mercy on Ahmad bin Abdulaziz who left a great tradition he left the great wealth in our he was an example that is really unique in our
in our Islamic history, because a lot of
it as well as we know him is a great believer he's a Khalifa that was just that was fearing of Allah subhanho wa Taala that followed the tradition of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam return the filata towards a philosopher should be and what distinguished him and his strength is not above the the tiger Khalifa don't misunderstand what our god's sake, but his rank is, what is distinguishing him from the righteous Khalifa is that transformation that he had to make is where he came from, and how he took his privilege and omega, and turn that back, and turned it into the way of Allah subhana wa taala. And how he grew to victory and the world, that when the faith goes into the hearts,
then that's what transforms into actions. And nothing can spoil that the power, the wealth, and all of that would mean nothing, when the faith settles in the heart, because the fitna the tests that can descend to a human being is a test of many bounces, but one of them is the bouncing off.
And strength. And this is a Khalifa who was 38, when he was given the Philipa he was in his apply for too well. And well. He was one of the wealthiest family love from the wealthiest families on the face of the earth at that time. And then the strength, he was the head of the superpower of the world at that time. And it was one superpower at that time, that the Empire of omega, if you will, the stretched, as we said from China, to South France. So a man that had all the causes of transgression and arrogance. You see how he lived his life. You see how he conducted himself and how genuine he was before his people, and ultimately before Allah subhanho wa taala. And that's really
the lesson. To me, at least that's what distinguishes a lot of an Abdel Aziz is he had it all, if he wanted to be the greatest emperor on the face of the earth he could have been, and maybe the people of familia would have been happier with him and they would never poison him had he followed him. But he chose the path of Allah subhana with Allah, and he chose what it's right. And even if he had to pay for that when his children were hungry, when his wife did not enjoy jewelry, and he ultimately have to die for that cause then that was a small price he paid for following the tradition of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, and that is the lesson that I take personally from the life of
that as he is, and inshallah we will conclude with that. And next session, we will try to go over the rest of the fall about when you may Yeah, rather quickly and speak of the fall as a breakdown of the Omega dynasty, the dynasty that did not know how to take advantage of a person like a lot of bin Abdulaziz and not follow his tradition afterwards. Many of his achievements were resolved, reserved, were reversed, not reserved, reversed after his death, and many things went back to the old ways of former yet and even worse, after the death of disease. And finally, that led to the breakdown of that Dynasty and the rise of the basset dynasty, and we will Shala speak about that in the next
session. So if you have any comments, we have about maybe five minutes before as amnesia, yes.
So I mean, to just in question in and I can tell you what I've read, and some of these things
in this day and age may be looked at as controversial. So we did mention it. The question is, does the Khalifa have sort of a common thing is, you know, right.
Right.
Like we know what that might have been. Bob, you know, he used to when he sent a letter
river Nile and ordered in the river not to flood. And with so how am I had
a telecom was the Muslim army fighting in Persia and he could see and he talked to the leader of the army and other cut on that like this is not miracle miracles only for the prophets and the messengers of Allah. But it's something that is extraordinary happened to people that do not receive revelation is called Kurama. And the question is does that hadith that is why it was funny to have that because, you know, because one of the most honored people prefer Allah subhanaw taala is enamel Rd. and enamel agian is honored before Allah with the islands, the first person to be shaded in the shade of Allah sandwich Allah on the day, what is no shade, but the shade of Allah. And one of the
things that are reflected in the time of Amata bin Abdulaziz that a man walked by a shepherd. And he saw many dogs with the sheep. And he said, Why do you have many dogs with his sheep? And he said, these are rules and the wolves around my sheep? And he said, how do you let wolves come around your sheep. And he said, we live in a time of justice. And you cannot see anything over your wealth and your money because it's in the protection of Allah Subhana Allah, and that is, you know, one of the stories that are recorded in history. But
I mean, that may open the, you know, the door for believers and unbelievers of these things that happen. But that doesn't take anything away from the legacy of Amara bin Abdulaziz, those that that truly happened or not history, your own choice to believe that or not, but that doesn't take away that in the time of justice, people and everything else would be happy when the doctrine of Allah subhanaw taala not the doctrine of people is applied on Earth. When Allah Subhana Allah has decreed is what people do, they will be happy. Because Allah Subhana Allah is the all merciful and Allah Subhana Allah, Allah said, we have a gaze upon you the things that will make you good. So this if
you apply those principles, when humanity in society would be happy, and whether that come with some extra ordinary powers or not. I don't think it matters. Because eventually we saw a miracle where the money is taken from one house to another and no takers. I mean, no takers in an entire OMA that extends from China to France. There were nobody that will take money of charity. And that is by itself American.
Any other comments and questions?
My slide here.
Yes. It's less than No, it's less than actually from.
Yeah, that nonius started on the floor. The IP is 132.
Year after they dropped the profit, so a lot of you will send them. But there were 10 years of Ebola disease. There were monies many scholars do not consider anybody was a holy family. There's a break in the middle. And then after Amara Abdulaziz, there were only five counties and how familiar but yes, he governed only for few years. He had the longest time around 15 years or so. And then the second one is 30. Busy. And then Milan and Muhammad was the last one. And he governed for about four or five years. But we'll go over that and call on more details next time. But the really I mean,
the peak power wise during the reign of Allah, he did not believe. And they tweaked value wise during the time of Amato in Abdulaziz. And then the decline of omega started after that, and ended up in the deeper the entire dynasty, except they moved actually to Spain. And the laptop moved to Kosovo, Kosovo and and Abdullah
was the eagle of course she was the Khalifa that continued the house for a year for hundreds of years after that. Just insane just an NWC
Yeah, just yeah, we need to I think we have to
salmonella Misurina.
