			In times of happiness, Allah subhanho wa Taala, from his mercy from his generosity, Allah subhanho

community that you live in every day that you wake up and you find food and drink in your home.
		

			These are blessings of Allah, these are moments of happiness. And that's why the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam said, if a person wakes up, and they are healthy in their body, and they have
enough food and drink for that day, and they have peace and safety within their community, then it
is as if Allah has gathered for you all of the treasures of this world. There is nothing more that
you need than these three things every single day that you wake up. And these are the blessings that
Allah has bestowed upon you. Allah subhanho wa Taala. In the Quran, he mentioned to us many, many
stories. And when we look at the stories of the Koran, they are amazing and beautiful. Often Now
		

			unfortunately, we're so busy and preoccupied with movies from Hollywood and with books and novels,
fiction, things that are made up, the stories of a lot are true, and they are more amazing, more
magnificent than anything that you can ever watch on a TV screen, or any type of fiction that you
can read in a book. Allah subhanho wa Taala mentioned so many amazing stories, and from the stories
that he mentioned is one that I want to base my lecture upon today. And that is the story of the
Prophet of Allah Suleyman, Ali Salim Sulaiman was a prophet of Allah, and the thing that Allah gave
to him a kingdom, unlike any other person, no person before him, nor any person after him ever had a
		

			similar kingdom. His father that would Allah His solemn, was also a mighty Prophet, also a king in
his own right. And because of the blessings that Allah bestowed upon him, the prophet Dawood and
upon his family, his sense of a man and all of the other members of his family, he spent his whole
life in the gratitude of Allah, because he had much to be happy about, much to be joyous about. So
he spent his life in the, in the service and the gratitude of Allah. Allah subhanho wa Taala says in
the Quran,

living moment of the day and the night, they would work for the gratitude of Allah subhanho wa

conversation of the queen and with the colony of the ants. So a man and he Sallam was walking and
the Queen and says he's going to trample on you. Go back underground. Don't let a man and his army
trample on you. And they won't even know. Because when you walk down the road, you walk in your
garden, there may well be hundreds of ants that you trample on. And you don't even know. We're
probably all serial and killers, right? We work on so many and throughout our lives we don't even
		

			know yet still a man out of his setup understood the conversation that the queen ant was having with
her ants. And then the story continues and it's a long story, but he gives that by using the kingdom
that Allah gave him.
		

			To believe the Queen of Sheba until she becomes Muslim. Now instead of going through the story in a
lot of detail, I want to relate it back to me and you. And I want to relate it back to some of the
attributes and the names of Allah subhanho wa Taala. Because Allah has many names and attributes, he
has names and attributes that we should remind ourselves of, and remember in times of distress, and
names and attributes that we should remember when we sin, and names and attributes that we should
remember when you have problems with our wives, or we have problems with our jobs, or we have
problems with our children. And Allah also has names and attributes that we should remember at times
		

			of happiness, at times of joy, when things are good, when things are positive in our lives. So Allah
has names and attributes that we need to be reminded of, and I have from the story of cinnamon in

many blessings that Allah has bestowed upon us, we wouldn't be able to get further than our own
bodies, you don't have to look anywhere else, you don't have to look at your bank account, you have
to look at your house or your car, you just have to reflect on your own body, the human heart beats
over 115,000 times in a single day. 115,000 times? How many times have we shown the gratitude to
		

			Allah? Have we ever done it, even maybe more than once a day, let alone 115,000 times just for the
beats of our heart, the human body, the heart, it pumps over 7000 liters of blood in a single day.
7000 liters of blood every single day since the time that you became an adult. This is for the adult
every single day, yesterday, today, tomorrow, the day after. And if you live in Sharla for another

And then you look at your breathing apparatus, you look at your digestive system, you look at your

at the universe. Because we haven't even gotten that far. We haven't even gone to the universe, the
sun and the moon and the stars, the trees and the oceans and the mountains. We are still talking
about our own bodies. The Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that a man will come a normal
		

			piano and he will say and he will be a person who from the age of majority, the moment that he
reached puberty until he died, he only worshipped Allah spent his whole life in the service of
Allah. He will come on Yeoman piano and he will say Oh Allah, I want to be held to account because
of my own worship. I don't want your mercy. I don't want your forgiveness. Just way my actions I
spent my whole life in Nevada. And so Allah said that I will wait all of your actions with all of
the blessings that I have bestowed upon you.
		

			And if your actions are heavier than my blessings, then you will have gender. And if they are
lighter than you will not have gender. And so allow wait the two. And they found that all of his
life years and decades of worship, all of it was in equal, wasn't even equal to half the eyesight,
the blessing of eyesight, half the blessing of eyesight, the fact that every single waking moment,
from the moment that you were born until the moment that you die, you can see it wasn't even worth
half of that. And so the man then says Allah rather through your mercy through your mercy, so Allah
showers His mercy upon him, and he enters him into gentlemen, these are the blessings that Allah has
		

			bestowed upon us. How often do we reflect over these blessings. This is the first step in the 10
point plan in order to preserve the blessings of Allah upon you, in order to keep that state of
happiness that Allah has, no matter what difficulty you're going through. No matter what problems
you have with your wealth and your health, your family, your children, look at your own body. Look
at the blessings that Allah has bestowed upon you, and how great they are. And then when you know
the blessings that Allah has bestowed upon you in your body, then look at your family. Look at your
wealth, look at your house, look at the universe, look at the blessings that Allah has bestowed upon
		

			you. The second thing, point number two, don't use those blessings in haram or evil. Don't use them
for the displeasure of Allah subhanho wa Taala. Imagine if Allah had given to us the ability to
control the jinn and the animals. What would we do? Right? We probably use the gym to go and break
into a bank and get all the money. Right? If we had a problem with like one of our friends or our
neighbor, we get all the birth to the droppings on his car. We'd like get lions to come and stand
outside his house. We'd use them for evil for harm. A large bill speaks about the blessings that he
bestowed upon the Prophet saw a man and he said them and look at what the prophet SAW a man does. He
		

			uses the bird, the Hood Hood, a hupo a small bird. He uses this bird as a blessing of Allah subhanho
wa Taala to teach the people about the heat. And so he sends a letter using the hood word to the
Queen of Sheba. And the Queen receives it. What's in this letter? Katya? Johan mela in LA Yaki.

that letter? Is it give me all of your money, or every single animal will come and destroy your

just need to go into detail doesn't speak about the contents of the letter from that one statement,

			the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, me and you have so many blessings. And some of them may be
small, as small as a bird like a hood, or as small and as insignificant as an ant. Yet still they
can be used in the way of Allah subhanho wa Taala, to achieve the pleasure of Allah azza wa jal. And
this is the wisdom from the story of Sleeman, that Allah doesn't use the example of the elephants
and the giraffes and the lions, and the cheetahs and the zebras, and the sharks and the whales, all
of these animals that we will normally associate with the animal kingdom. He uses a hood of hupo,
who even knows what a hippo is, who's even heard of a hupo who can describe to me a hupo. It's not
		

			even an eagle or a falcon or Hawk. It's a hupo of wouldwould. And allow uses the example of an ant.
Every single blessing that Allah has bestowed upon you can be used for his pleasure for his worship,
it can be used to give that power to bring others closer to the path of Allah subhana wa Tada. And
this is the second most important thing that we need to know. Use them for the sake of Allah. And
that brings us to point number three. Now not only do you need to preserve those blessings, but then
you need to nurture them. You may have intelligence, you may have wealth, you may have a good family
network you may have whatever blessings Allah has bestowed upon you. So nurture those blessings, use
		

			those
		

			Blessings have a plan as to how those blessings will bring you closer to Allah subhanho wa Taala in
the time of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, there is a famous companion by the name of zedi
blue Sabbath rhodiola one, one of the young companions of the unsung, when the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam came to Medina, his mother, because he was very young at the time, his mother
realized that our son was intelligent. He was bright, he was smart, he was academically able to help
the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. So she took him to the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam,
he said, O Messenger of Allah, my son, Zane is intelligent and smart. use him for your purposes. She
		

			didn't say is really smart. Let's like build a business become millionaires. He didn't she didn't
think that he's really smart. Don't tell anyone that him just get the best grades. She took him she
said, O Messenger of Allah use his ability for the benefit of Islam. So the Prophet sallallahu
alayhi wa sallam told him to recite from the Quran, and he recited in the most beautiful way. And so
he said, I need you to learn Hebrew, I need you to learn this language so that when I have
conversations with those people who speak this language, I know what they're saying, I have a
translator, I have an interpreter. So he learned the language for the sake of Islam, because of the
		

			Prophet sallallahu alayhi wasallam. And then he became one of the most prolific one of the greatest
scholars of the Quran. He was the companion that the the likes of Abu Bakar Horace Mann went to when
it came to compiling the Quran zeytinburnu Sabbath rhodiola one, nurture those blessings. The
prophet SAW a man or a Salaam was given the ability to control the jinn. Imagine controlling the
jinn, this creation of a law that we don't even understand properly, we can't begin to imagine the
powers that they have. He had the ability to control them. So when he wanted to present the Queen of
Sheba, who came from Sheba, and she was coming to his kingdom, when he wanted to present her with
		

			her own throne, someone to bring it from there to his kingdom within a single moment. He asked the
Jin who will go and do this for me. And so one of the gym he stood up and he said that I will get it
for you before you even stand up from your chair. But it wasn't enough. It wasn't sufficient. So

blinked and the throne was there. Look at this amazing blessing and miracle of Allah subhana wa

them to compete with one another for the pleasure of Allah subhana wa Taala to come close to Allah
subhana wa Taala so the blessings that you have the blessings that Allah azza wa jal has given you
those blessings, you need to preserve them, and you need to nurture them. One of the names of Allah
azza wa jal is that he is good, Allah is good and all goodness comes from him. subhanho wa Taala
		

			every single type of goodness, it comes from Allah azzawajal he is to find out what Allah Akbar. So
when you have these blessings, and you reflect on them, and you don't use them in the disservice of
Allah, but you use them and nurture them for the pleasure of Allah subhana wa Tada, you are
worshiping Allah, through this name of Allah is the one who bestowed these blessings on you. So you
need to use them in the service of Allah and in the pleasure of Allah subhanho wa Taala. The fourth
thing number four, what we need to do with our blessings, is that we don't show arrogance with our
blessings. Don't use them as a means of putting other people down. Don't use them as a means of
		

			showing that you're better than others. The prophet SAW a man Ali Salaam, he walks across a colony
of ants, one of the most insignificant insects within the animal kingdom. And he doesn't show
arrogance. He's not proud. But when he's reminded of the famous of Allah, he stops and he smiles.
And then as we will mention shortly, he makes a dog, one of the most beautiful daughters in the
Quran, because he doesn't have arrogance. He doesn't show arrogance even to the most insignificant
creation of Allah subhanho wa Taala. And that's why the scholars of Islam said that true humility,
true humbleness, the opposite of arrogance and pride. true humility, is that you know, that Allah
		

			azza wa jal is the one who gave you all blessings. So you don't show arrogance to those who you are
better than them in the dunya. And you don't allow those who are better than you in the dunya to
show arrogance to you. If someone comes to you and they're lesser off, bless better off than you.
They have a lower position in the dunya they you they're poorer
		

			Then you, you don't show arrogance, but rather you show humbleness and humility to them, like the
Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would do with the poor Muslims. But when someone comes to you,
and they're stronger, and they're more powerful, and they're rich, and they have more wealth than
you, then you don't allow them to show arrogance, you don't have this inferiority complex. Because
this person is richer, he has a nicer car, he has a better house, now I need to lower myself in
front of him, like the companions of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam would do when they
would go to the other acquirement, they would go to the different rulers who had all this wealth and
		

			the beauty of the dunya, they would go and they would put them in their place, they will show them
that the honor of Islam is far greater than all of the all of the different adornments and the
beautification of the dunya. Don't show arrogance to those who are below you. And number five, as we
mentioned, don't allow those and don't be jealous of those who are above you. Don't let those people
show arrogance to you. When Solomon alehissalaam sends this letter to the Queen of Sheba, and she
reads this letter, she says to her advisers, what do you suggest? What shall we do? They said, their
income with his army will take him on, let him come, we'll show him that we have an army too. She
		

			said, No. She said, when people come with the armies, what they do is just destroy everything will
destroy our houses, he'll destroy everything, he'll kill as many people as he can, he'll just do
everything he can to win. And that's just a no win situation. Even if we were to win, there will be
so much destruction and so much harm and so much bloodshed. So instead, I will send him a gift,
wealth money, showing him that we are very rich and powerful, that he should be an ally to us, not
an enemy. And so she sent someone with the hadiya with a gift. And a lot of xojo uses it as a
general term. It doesn't specify how much it was, but it means that it was a great amount. And she
		

			wanted to see his response. Does he have this inferiority complex? Because now he's getting some
money. He's like, okay, maybe she has money. She has wealth he scared of her. So she sent someone

comes through Islam. And whenever we seek that pride and honor in other than Islam that Allah will
humiliate us for about the money. It's not about the show. It's not about the pretense, it's not
about the position, even though all of these things have their proper place in Islam. But it is
about the honor that we feel when we say la ilaha illAllah Muhammad Rasul Allah, that's an honor and
pride that is instilled in your heart that no one can take away from you. And this is how you
		

			preserve that blessing. you preserve it by knowing that those people who have the dunya don't have
anything greater than what Allah has in store for you in sha Allah on normal piano, when you enter
into gentlemen. So that's point number five. Point number six is what Sulaiman alayhis salam does
when he smiles at the statement of the queen and to a colony. And that is sincere gratitude, sincere
gratitude. What to say man or listen, I'm do when he hears this. And does he say to his army, look
at what you think? Does he say to them, rather I can also come down to is nothing I can even control
the elephants and the lions and the zebras and the cheetahs in the shop. I can control anything that
		

			you want to see both. Does he show arrogance. Rather, he's the pinnacle of humility and humbleness.
Because the blessings of Allah make us humble, man, remember
		

			The favors of Allah, we show humility to Allah. So what does he do? He smiles, and then he makes a
beautiful or b, o z. O Allah give me the ability, because it is a law that gives us the ability to
be grateful and to be show gratitude. If Allah doesn't allow you to show gratitude, then you won't
do so. So he makes plans to allow for the ability to be thankful to Allah or be Oh, zero knee and a

			driver that he makes, when you look at the blessings that Allah has bestowed upon you. Whenever have
one of us ever made a dryer like this? Have we ever made any similar type of dryer to this? And this
is a prophet of Allah, that is guaranteed gender of Allah, one of the most beloved, and the best of
creation in the sight of Allah. Yet me and you despite the many blessings that we have, how often
have we made such a beautiful that Allah let us show gratitude or will allow, use us for your own
purposes, use us to do continue to do righteous deeds and our law makers from amongst the pious
